  1. Lauren Underwood looks like she is not going to pull out her re-election. I am sick over this. This is a woman who goto to congress and immediately started working on legislation and worked hard for her district. They voted in another rich lazy GOPer who has lost multiple races in Illinois Jim Oberweiss.
  2. Hold off on Georgia. They aren't counting a ton of ballots in Franklin County(Where Atlanta is)due to a water leak or some other lie IMO.
  3. I am generally a glass half full person but I have the same sinking feeling I had in 2016.
  4. Again exactly how did he depress turnout. Saying something stupid VS how many people showed up to vote contradict anything he said.
  5. In what world did Carville depress turnout?
  6. I trust black voters more than any other voting block, particularly black women. It still angers me that 2016 was partially about how black voters did not show up for Hillary. Only when voter suppression starts impacting white people like this year does the media pay attention to it. Nothing in 2016 about the voting machines in Detroit that went bad causing thousands to have to vote provisionally, or the draconian voter ID laws and legal orders that the GOP ignored to prevent black people from getting id's that were acceptable in Wisconsin, or the hundreds of new voting machines in a warehouse in Georgia while the now Gov then sec of state told people they closed polling places due to lack of equipment in 2018. The list goes on.
  7. Greenwalds editor at The Intercept. WOW
  8. It's Georgia. A bunch of progressive groups asked him to drop out about 3 weeks ago. He refused but his support dropped from 11% to 1%. It all went to Warnock. My guess he's there to be a spoiler to prevent Warnock from reaching 50%, because if he does no runoff.
  9. I see you posted the Greenwald info. Another "poor me" like Sullivan and Bari Weiss who is equally terrible. He will have a gig on Fox mark my words.
  10. Yep. More details here. https://www.democracydocket.com/cases/north-carolina-four-pillars-intervention-rnc/ Mark Elias is a star attorney. I think a lot of people underestimated what the legal team on the democratic party side could do. Making him the lead was genius.
  11. Nate has become a pundit. NO ONE is taking this race for granted especially after 2016 and we should all be cautious about being over confident. I know I am. But all this shows me is another pundit who wants Trump to win. I am sure Nate has been raking in cash also. I am not especially a Dave Wasserman lover but I am following him more this cycle because he was one of the first to cast warning signs for Hillary based on his analysis of congressional districts across MI and PA. He's much more bullish on PA than he is on Wisconsin based on what he is seeing in congressional districts. That being said, Wisconsin's Gerrymander is on par with NC. They also have a larger non college degreed white voter base than the rest. But then SCOTUS has ruled in favor of the GOP in every ruling related to voting for Wisconsin.
  12. Anyone who wants to help phonebank, there are a ton of them. Swingleft has phonebanks available for all the swingstates including Florida and you can phonebank any day of the week. https://swingleft.org/take-action?mode=live_only&categories=PHONE_BANK&s=u
  13. 2016 I give a pass on but I am with you on 2018. I think this year is unique due to the pandemic. I don't know how the party affiliation works in Florida when they talk about dems vs goper casting ballots, but when I read The Villages had a 40% advantage for Trump in 2016 and is now dead even, I think the chances are a bit better. But honestly after 2000 I never count on Florida for anything for democrats. I personally think the state is a cesspool.
  14. You read that article from Politico. Whenever I read a party talking about internal polling I always wonder. But in general I agree with you. Democrats would be better off working in places like Georgia, Arizona, and boosting efforts in North Carolina going forward. And Texas, where the problem has always been low turnout. A real investment there could make a difference. Beto showed that. And it's pretty likely Beto runs for Governor there in 2022.
  15. Lauren Underwood who I volunteered for in 2018, talked about it when I first met her in 2017. Her district was lean red and covers a lot of rural areas. She spent a lot of time in 2018 doing townhalls across the district, including a lot of farm communities. She said one of the biggest topics in those farm community townhalls was climate change. I admit I was surprised because rarely is there any press or media coverage of climate change as it relates to rural America. She repeated what so many farmers told her. "We know because we live this every day".
  16. Frankly, and this is not a criticism of you, I am getting tired of the entire media ecosystem providing all the things Trump must do to win, as if they want him to. Well of course they do.
  17. Pence is a dead fish. I don't believe that for a second. As if he doesn't reek of Trump stench also.
  18. I don't know about the mail in vote particularly in states that use mail in votes like Florida and Arizona. I was reading an article(can't find it) in I think WAPO about how mail in voting has the GOP in Florida very nervous particularly the numbers they are seeing. Trump has so many freaked out about mail in their normal mail in engine in Florida is having to retool at the last minute and they are extremely worried that a machine they had down is now being disrupted by Trump and are not sure of they will be able to account for it.
  19. I am off work today - mid term break - so I have been cleaning and listening to MSNBC in the background First time in months. This has to be one of the worst of the worst. These people are addicted to Donald Trump. There seems to be no time block that they are not talking about something involving him. Now I know why Biden is ahead. Many people are as sick to death of hearing about Trump non stop as I am. He's become Donald Rumsfeld. And to listen to each host keep asking why Trump doesn't just pivot to this and that is the most assinine brainless discussion. Almost as dumb as Wolf Blitzer trying to slam Pelosi for no Stimulus deal. I don't know how people watch this crap daily.
  20. I am not a supporter in general but coming out with this nonsense before the election is decided is incredibly stupid. And I have to say how disappointed I am that Katie Porter put her name on this.
  21. I don't really care about ratings but this is sweet considering the push the media was making about this idiotic battle of the townhalls. I had no intention of watching Trump(SSDD) and wasn't going to watch the Biden townhall but I am glad I did. This is a forum he has only gotten better in. I love retail politics and yes it's old school but it still works IMO. His responses were thoughtful and comprehensive and he answered the questions. That question on the crime bill I am sure was supposed to be a gotcha I am sure because no way do I believe the woman who asked that question really gave a darn, but he responded by providing some background, some of the good things, and a lot of the mistakes with it and acknowledged as a whole it was a mistake and damaging.
  22. Well I hope this solidifies throwing out the entire filibuster.
  23. I saw this Seriously these people are just - they shout about a relief package all day yesterday at Pelosi but now this is the new attempt. Do they really think other than the nuts anyone cares about this?
  24. And another example of the craven media not giving a damn about Americans and exploiting a pandemic for their own profit. This has got to be the worst and most craven, putting a man who is likely still contagious on national TV to present COVID as if it's no biggie. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/nbc-news-host-town-hall-trump-thursday-n1243300
  25. Oh I didn't hear about all that. I did read about the South Asian block party event which sounds amazing. This list sounds incredible.
