  1. I liked how the show touched upon Kendall's guilt feelings when Bill passed away. It was a brief and subtle way of driving home the point that Kendall's obsession with her birth parents made her lose sight of the love and support of her adoptive parents, which is all she ever knew. Too late now, but perhaps AMC could have found an interesting character and B-plot in one of Kendall's adoptive cousins who she grew up close to who decided to move to PV to be with her BFF cousin who was now entrenched in her life as THE Erica Kane's daughter... I'm reminded of Anna Nicole's toothless cousin who'd show up at Anna's door unannounced and Anna would turn her way because she was s beyond *that*, and the cousin just wanted to know the Vicki she grew up with.
  2. Cheap, that's Vanessa Bell Calloway, she played Yvonne who was messing with Jesse. You probably know VBC from a million black centric shows (including BET's attempt at a The View-type show), but this is her iconic moment in pop culture history:
  3. I remember a "bootilicious" pic they did of this Anita in SOW. She was wearing white pants and they shot her from behind climbing stairs looking over her shoulder. The caption was like, "So-and-so gives us a bootyful view..."
  4. I had totally forgotten about it, and especially Cecily working for her.
  5. It's like I can hardly believe what great material they give Jill Larson here. I sometimes forget her pre-Erica's sidekick life. These were well-written, LONG scenes. Sorry I can't be of help with those two actors' names.
  6. Carl, where do get all this great stuff? Look at those eyes, so beautiful. She really favors Elaine Princi in some of these pics. Eleven hours of sleep?? If only...
  7. Yeah, I really like that last photo. I think they use it, or one like it with the intense eyes and all, in her Intimate Portrait.
  8. What a great read, thanks for sharing. I'm glad she had such a lovely childhood. That house in Larchmont would fetch a couple million these days. That's funny about Leo on the airplane, imagine pulling that fast one in this day and age. Her words about dragging along her actor husband who couldn't support her were kinda *OUCH*! Funny, because by the time she made her Viki money, she and her second husband decided that he would put his acting career aside to be an at-home dad.
  9. As the church deacons used to say, "Well go'on an' play da damn thang then boy!"
  10. I missed this episode when it originally aired but watched it a couple of months ago and thought, "Oh, how the mighty have fallen." I loved the show at this time. Great stuff. It's weird though. I look at Joey and Dorian and I see me and my mother. The improbability of their relationship was really lost on me at the time.
  11. LMAO! This is marvelous[/Robin Strasser]. I remember Todd whimpering, "Oh my God, that's my car!" when it aired, hilarious. I love when he gives Starr the "Just a second" finger while he's scolding Sam, and LOL at Sam with the balloon in his mouth flailing his arms at the end. Also love when Todd, no pun intended, jacks Jack up by the face. I have to say, TSJ and AT have great chemistry, there is something very hilarious about bumbling, clueless, good-for-nothing spoiled teen Jack in his "my parents are making me go to work" grownup suit and Todd just steady giving him the business for being such a fuckup. It's like Sheriff Buford T. Justice and Junior in Smokey and the Bandit. Tea's face at 0:25!
  12. Indeed! Good point. VW was in fact critical of Erica's lack of evolution (her Rachel sharing Agnes Nixon's prototype) going so far as to call such people who don't evolve "psychotic" IIRC.
  13. But don't you think her relationship with Nick had a lot to do with her daddy issues and perhaps played into her neuroses/inability to grown up and come to terms with herself? I mean, maybe that's not a "bad thing" but I've always been weirded out by their relationship, Nick being Mona's pal. I wish I could have seen how Mona dealt with that. Obviously, they worked things out having witnessed Nick's loving visits back to town.

  16. I love these early articles of the future soap legends in their New York apartments, before their bank accounts were super padded and they moved out to the burbs and bought their big homes where they raised their families...
  17. This is a good read Carl, do continue. LOL! Remember the one where they called her young Marilyn and she was smoking? The pic where she's pouring the tea, she does NOT look 27. She does however look like Barbara Rhodes.
  18. I cahnnot[/Viki] believe they spelled her name incorrectly!
  19. I wondered the same, though I immediately assumed VW. When Grant said, "She was the big star of the show at that point", I wasn't *quite* sure if he meant Beverlee or the actress in question. I kinda wish the camera panned over to Kim when he talked about no one being able to steal a scene from her.
  20. Yes, she was the original, definitive child Lily.
  21. Do you think that's her? Not a bad tochis. Oh, and Erica's wearing the infamous suit we discussed months ago. Forget which thread.
  22. LOL, I totally Googled and saw that earlier when I was figuring out the Mischa thing.
  23. Funny you should ask that, because when she was sitting there staring at Trevor I did have some politically incorrect thoughts on the subject. But yeah, she seems extremely well-adjusted for Lily. Shayna Levine gave the first glimpse of extroverted yet socially awkward Lily that Leven would make more famous.
