Patrick Mulcahey told me that they hired the writing team for TEXAS & then had nothing for them to write so they put them to work writing AW. Being in the same studio & all. This is work they have not been credited with, at least not online. But, I personally find it hard to believe they were writing a Southern story & they didn't have Iris in mind. As a matter of fact my impression is that they decided on Iris long before there were any talks with Beverlee. That is why she was in such a good negotiation place & why she got so much money & the star billing. Maybe the book will tell us what really happened.

But, y'all a drunk scene like this is just classic! To write, it, to direct it, to act it! Act 2, Scene 2, Fallen Angels, Noel Coward! And a lot more! Well, I don't happen to subscribe to the idea that everything that GH Carly does is somehow blessed or deemed to be right, so that's a starting point. And, I def do not believe Dani is being presented as correct, or right. However, what she is, to me, anyway, is thoroughly motivated. I mean, they have spent so much time giving us insight into what she thinks & feels & why, right? We're not left wondering. Y&R, Phyllis, at this point in time I do not do Bell soaps, so I have no opinion.

Charlotte's PahPah is roughly the equivalent of Violet singing to me. And her relationship with Valentin is decidedly bent. We know, of course, that her relationship with Victor was bent, too. And, of course the writing's on the wall that Valentin is about to be around again, I am sure. I disagree. I think McTavish's best at AMC was the crossover. At first I admit I hated that they were holding me hostage. It was impossible to follow without watching both AMC & OLTL. And, frankly, it went on forever. But, it was worth it. I mean, what can you say, when you've got two very pregnant women, a helicopter, a crash in the woods, two babies are born but only one lives ... and so on. Bianca & Babe were both on their A-game. Paul Cramer was okay. No idea what Malone & Griffith were doing, but McT was solid.

I can't tell you how glad I am that I'm not alone in my use of the word cartoon!!!
