My 2 recruits are primarily binging on weekends & I think they see it a bit different, but then wrong to compare to us anyway because we've been immersed since months before. I don't know anything about watching a soap via immersion. It may not even be a thing. I'm babbling. Main point: excited for Nikolai & cannot wait to hear who he likes, etc.

I am quite enamored of my two recruits opinions!!! One of them gave some praise at first but then came through with a very detailed critique of SO MANY PRODUCTION PROBLEMS!!! OY!!! Our last conversation danced around thinking, ahead of time that we would be that bowled over by 27 sets only to find that the most fun instead is Wardrobe! This recruit is a married gay guy. He's something of a hardass & thinks they should have worked a bunch of this out pre-launch. Julie Hanan Carruthers was rude to him once & that can never be healed. The other recruit is a partnered lesbian who was in love with Sue Ellen when she was 6 years old. Then Anne Heche as Vicky cinched her love of soaps. She loves almost all of the characters but especially Leslie, Eva, Dani & Hayley. She blames Bill & doesn't fault Hayley at all. She's changed from FFing Ashley & Derek because now she likes Ashley but still cannot stand Derek. Loves Andre. She also had a ton of notes for Production but also says she's not bothered by it because they'll work them out & you can actually see them getting better in front of you. She's more patient & appreciates that she sees it evolving & being able to experience that with a new venture. These people you don't know are not boring to me, but if they are to you, sorry. I'll follow Queen Anita's advice & not make a habit of it.

This seems to be a prevailing fan opinion. Besides seeing more from him onscreen which is HUGE on their podcast he is more of a cheerleader for the show. I believe if they tell him XYZ is his story coming up that he would talk it up & he has not done so with either Anna or Sasha. He's said he has great scenes coming up with LW. She's said she has great scenes coming up with him. However, I do not take that to mean A THING, just actors who are friends & some story they liked. And it would be a big surprise if Burton could afford to retire.

Correct, no kiss & no real date per se. Those of us who are once again hoping that this is going to happen see a much simpler scenario but it relies on MB to want what we want. That's one point. The second point is VM/Brenda. The third point is Frank/the show. We know 2 & 3 would be GO GREENLIGHT if the first is. 3 points makes a direct line. The only problem is what if this is Charlie Brown, Lucy & the football.

I just fell over, almost out of my chair laughing at the very idea of any complexity or long-form or show bible. However, I do believe that Korte is leading now, for the first time & liking it with Van Etten going along & just letting her make decisions. I also believe she loves Jason, Carly & Jarly. Does that mean something/anything IS going to be tried? LOL!!! Are you kidding?!! Maybe if I hadn't watched this show then MAYBE I might think that. The way they write, nyah, I just can't. However, I do have a strong appreciation that they have changed both Carly's & Jason's perspectives with regard to Sonny.

When I think about her writing, here & also at GL, I think: problems with boundaries, with knowing what is too much or pushing too far, questionable judgment as to good taste & many times she is just mean-spirited, right? To me all of that also shows up in her memoir. So what she wrote about fictional characters informs what she writes about herself & others from her POV. And vice versa. I mean, it all fits. Whether every word is both true & accurate? Who knows? And, do I really care? Why would I? I do not have a high opinion of her as a writer. Didn't before & still do not. There's no need for me to be concerned about my opinion of her as a person.
