  1. I think it's over, but now, you're making me scared! I think we're supposed to come out of it uplifted ... a righteous sacrifice, an angelic bearing, people having gone from the depths of weeping to happiness, and, of course, it's a soap miracle, so Tripp isn't even maimed!
  2. Group performance of exorcism, Tripp taunts the devil to come into him, flies out the window & hits the ground, & is rushed to the hospital. I expect that the devil is dead, there on the ground. We have more action.
  3. WHAT?! I don't know how you got that impression! I have certainly not defended it in any way. I think it's ABSURD that Shawn is giving this idiot as much power as he is & at the same time is being so stupid in his treatment of Belle who is supposed to be his beloved wife! For this to be credible Shawn has to be as dumb as a doorknob. It's as if he can't even see what Jan is doing. If Shawn has to be dumbed down so far to tell it's an epic failure if you ask me. l simply would not tell the story. Jan should be in prison & the baby should be put up for adoption. But, I would not tell any story that begins with some guy not knowing who he is screwing. They are patently absurd on the face of it. For Jan to be living in their house is a cheap shot set-up for dramatic tension. The writers are into these situations that would not happen, this one & before with Clive having to live with Ben & Ciara to be able to be out on parole. Never happen. Cheap shots.
  4. I realize I've already answered this but it was by saying I know nothing which is true but I have a gut feeling about it & that is that Paul Rauch simply would not have it any other way than to do this 90 minute show that he was fixated on for AW & we know from many sources that he was formidable & that he fought people on his own side as fiercely as he did those who opposed him. Lemay had doubts about the hour long show after doing it for awhile. He was like Agnes in that he wrote all of AW just as she wrote all of AMC. (I suspect Bell did, too.) And, before they invented ways to actually do the hour long show they were asking their people to basically work overtime all the time & Lemay was accutely aware of the danger they ran of burn out. Everything would have made so much more sense to bring The Doctors onto the hour expansion but once Rauch had something in his head, there was no turning him. So to my best estimation, the missing why is because Paul Rauch, brilliant though he was at times, was blind to reality in this instance & had no one powerful enough to force him to stop. Maybe that sheds a little light on a frustrating point of history.
  5. It's frustrating but nothing I've read talks about The Doctors at all! Nothing I've been told either. It's just as if it was ignored.
  6. It is not news that GH is now said to have FOFs. It is not news that GH is now said to have a large number of OLTL alums. It is not news that GH is now said to have a cast of thousands! which is exaggeration but likley means that the cast is too big. And, it is certainly not something to question and/or critique hiring from an informal "I need a job." communication rather than the standard way of identifying a cast member who is needed & go looking for someone to fit the bill. As to whether people got carried away, I don't think that means we throw out the baby with that bath water.
  7. And, if I might add one little bit, the NBC affiliates HATED the 90 minute show. And, they got it into their heads that the show had wanted it (Which wasn't true the network & Paul Rauch wanted it. Lemay fought against it tooth & nail & eventually quit over that one issue!) So, the affiliates went from really being fond of AW to actively disliking it. I firmly believe that was the roots of the demise of the show. Here's the part of our program when I bang my head into the wall for a little bit, but don't worry I can do it very quietly.
  8. And, off to the side is the monstrous failure that was AW going to 90 minutes. After it the NBC programmers "admitted" that they tried it BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE TO TRY. opportunists with tinker toys
  9. NBC did AW first with a standalone hour long wedding first & then permanent. They followed with the same plan with DOOL. ABC & CBS were already working on Agnes & Bell Sr. who both resisted. Agnes even told Pete Lemay that he was crazy & said she never would. They gave her studio space & she crumbled. That was ABC with the carrot. CBS told Bell they were doing it with him or without him. He got the stick. Everybody else fell in line except Claire Labine & Paul Avila Mayer. And, Freddy Silverman (Pete's name for him) who worked at all 3 networks at different times, in programming, was the person pitching expansion to an hour.
  10. Oh, hell, at least I know now why my tweets trying to get an In Memorium for Stuart Damon are doomed!
  11. OH! Okay, well, hell, I'm with you. Or maybe if he could be a previously unknown son of Alan Q.
  12. And 40 years later they still passing that ugly rock around lol And now it's even an OLD ugly rock!
  13. And, if he really did get hired by texting Frank Valentini, Why am I not working at GH? Well, I just want to throw up my hands!
  14. What's random about it? To a lawyer I bet it sounds completely logical to protect one's self, execute the most appropriate legal document. After all she is vacating the premises.
  15. oh, that's so sad
  16. I liked April Boom Boom Ramirez & her brothers Emilio & ... someone. I liked Frankie & Max NotRealyBradys. I even liked Stella. And, I loved Benjy.
  17. Thank you. I am foursquare against all events that are the result of some poor guy not knowing who he is screwing but I'll make an exception this once. You keep writing Belle & Shawn & Jan's Spawn & I'll be back next week! The control that Shawn has just ceded to her is bizarre! Shall we call it ALTDays by 247?
  18. Well, Shawn is being so ridiculous, how could anyone blame her?! It's crazy how he is letting Jan Spears just run his life!
  19. Oh, yeah, I remember the scene. I am just so used to Spencer being an ass. I don't have a very high opinion of him. He's so entitled & he just pops off with stuff he says! It may be a minority opinion but I don't like him. The rest of the Young Adults I am high on.
  20. That the hospital gang now regularly has Girls' Night Out extends the hospital into the community, too. And, of course, the other ladies have had their axe throwing sessions. But, what did Spencer say to Britt? He's always been rather a smart aleck when it came to her & she puts up with it, so that is on her.
