I think her tenure was impaired from the moment when she capitulated to NBC & rewrote it that Jake did rape Marley. That was the moment when she decided she was leaving as soon as her current contract was up. From a morale point of view that had to be a powerful negative. She had to be angry. Now, if we overlay that anger on her writing, what do we learn? Okay, you're confusing me. Conventional wisdom is that you increase the likelihood of success for a new character by tying them to someone or something on the canvas. You seem to be looking at the reverse of that. But, of course, there would be no way to make the test you're theorizing. However, a sociologist could devise a questionnaire to get at some answers.

Which made it all the more powerful when Phillip attacked Harley's house with a piece of heavy moving equipment, kidnapped ALL of his kids & then had a kind of a nervous breakdown!!! & the whole long scene was set to this music, like it was a montage or something.

Honestly, I could care less about her hair. She can act. She is credible, as a romantic lead, as a girlfriend, as a wife & as someone who is lying to her husband when the stakes are high. Literally, the only opinion I have about her looks is that she doesn't look lie the same person who was previously on B&B. But, that to me is weird.

First, welcome!! DAYS is a traditional soap for me, so I am in it up to here unless I happen to be "taking a break". Well, as you might recall, they (IMO stupidly) killed Adrienne. Technically Jack is a Johnson & sometimes he is in Salem although his permanent residence now is Boston. I love that you are a Kindred fan. I am one, too!!! I still call her F'bby for Fake Abby. I really missed Julie, too.

Thanks. I just find that so hard to swallow. I seem to have strong likes & dislikes when it comes to child actors. My favorite child actor is James on GH. My second favorite absolutely was DAYS Rachel before this new recasting. I cannot imagine that they're writing some new kinds of material which will be more challenging, so guessing they didn't like what they were getting. I will be interested & watching ....

What year is this? I believe this to be my 'loneliest' Minority Rapport. I enjoyed Tad/Ted for a few reasons. AMC was new to me. MEK twice. LOVED Barbara Rush as Nola Orsini.

I was a grown-ass adult then & it was a hard-time to be alive, economically, politically & then way too many friends died of the dadgummed plague. Also there was a time when all of the soaps did *something* to acknowledge or bring awareness to HIV-AIDS. The Daytime Day of Remembrance, I think it was dubbed, was June 20-somethingth.

But DAYS pays the least & switched to 1-year contracts, right? And, yes, I realize this is not either DAYS or GENERAL.

When people do this "the 80s had the best fill-in-the-blank" nostalgia turn, I really cringe.

While it's certainly true that they are vastly different to the Nielsen corporation & to the ad agencies & their account execs, as long as the shows continue to program reveals & high levels of activity, etc. around them, to fans they really have not changed much. But, yes, Sweeps runs from the Thursday night prior to the month of to the Thursday night 4 weeks after that.

At Bill Hayes Memorial service last year Corday made a joke that the show runs him. When he has never functioned as a ShowRunner.

I realized that the recast was not older so not being SORASED and was hoping a reason would become known. Still no info.

My beloved NY P&G soaps, all 3, were in trouble from 1995 on. I know I am boring saying this over & over. But it doesn't seem to matter.
