  1. Was that Sofia Landon Geier, who actually filled in for Anna Stuart a few times? http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/misc5.html Yeah, I went & looked up who played that GL part & it was so neat!
  2. Philece playing Nicole would have been inspired. Maybe Denise Alexander or Colleen Zenk or Jane Elliot to fill in for, what, 5 years?
  3. Kim Wells is doing these photo collages right now & I saw this one & thought that you might like it. If you post or share it just credit to Kim Wells.
  4. Somebody on Twitter gave a shout out to GH's Intimacy Coordinator. I think her name was Liz La Mura. They seemed to give them a night of perfection. I knew it was a good beginning when I saw that Shawn had her in a really deep pink off-the-shoulder. Her favorite color is pink so I'm sure she felt like she looked presentable! She got ready to say ILY & just dropped it in his lap. Twitter is lit up with Sprina Love images! I could not believe they had Liz & Finn on their coattails!
  5. Reese was such a cool character to me, Pratt was onto to something special! I wished she stayed around longer. It was Pratt who wrote it that the night before her wedding to Bianca she couldn't control herself & kissed a man! If Pratt could have gotten away with it, he'd have broken them up! I have to correct myself. Pratt did create Reese. I just can't explain why he would have written something so awful for a character he created. IDK. Maybe he was against same sex marriage. Agree that she was cool. I loved her. But, with horrible writing like that I would not have wished for her & Bianca to stick around, no way.
  6. I see no problem with their kisses, caresses, the way they hold each other, look at each other, they're acting like young lovers as much as anyone ever did - if you ask me. But, I also am not a part of official Sprina fandom. I just really enjoy the couple. I don't need all the high drama at the fan level. And the ridic claims are way out of line. Fans who believe they caused BrookeMolly to be let go. Fans who believe they caused Sprina to have consummation. You'd think they never watched a soap before.
  7. Bibi Besch, interesting idea, Neil, and very doable. JC is only 4 years younger than BB. So, contemporaries.
  8. Well, thanks that much more for the reply. I used to avoid spoilers. Doing so proved to be not worth the hassle.
  9. If ever anyone needed their own room & bed it is Talia!!! But, I'm quite confused because I thought they'd fired her & sent her away. Guess I dreamed that. And, yes, I recall that time at the PH. I just hope they have 2 bathrooms. But, they have definitely had 4 bedrooms. I just found "spacious" an odd descriptor for Sloan's .... room. Although she & Eric only need a bed & a bathroom. They do all their talking in bed, have sex in bed, sleep in bed & the only other thing they do is take showers. Now, if they add a baby then they've got to get a bigger place. But, that is actually pretty realistic. When they begin the approval process I want to know what Eric's job is & who is his employer?
  10. When was Eric living at the PH? He's been in one of the rooms over Brady Pub this whole time. You mean some previous time? For a long while he was with Nicole & Holly.
  11. Cass is my main man! I loved his soulmate level but not type friendship with Felicia. I loved Cass & Kathleen. I appreciated Cass & Cecile. I loved Cass & Frankie & eventually that became my best for Cass. I really liked Lila with Matt, not Cass. I really only tolerated Nicole with Cass. How do you mean she undid Cass & Nicole? I would guess that easily Nicole would come in last if I ran a poll of Favorite Cass Couplings. Ryan to me was always best with Vicky. Jake always with Paulina. I loved Rachel with Mac and also with Carl.
  12. 1989 and 1991, yeah, long long ago, right. Anyhoo, I never had a problem with Lisa Grady's psychic ability which was uncanny & potentially life-saving. I loved David O'Brien from DOC & it was tough for me to see him as a villain but his acting ability overcame that in me. I never had a problem with Frankie being a kind of a New Age princess but at the time I was very into crystals, too. I never really thought her psychic ability was very well developed which was fine because to me she was a very good PI with good instincts. And I think someone in touch with their instinctual self is ahead of the game. I never had a problem with Celeste on DAYS because I found her delightful. I can imagine that too much of her could've changed that though. I don't really have a set of objections to Swajeski either. My favorite writers are Lemay, Labine, Curlee, Swajeski, Hurst, Mulcahey, the Dobsons, Marland, Val Jean, CCulliton, Falken Smith, Bell, Nixon & Phillips. 15. I like writers. What I do have for Swajeski is questions! If I could interview any writer it would be Lemay, but of living writers it would be Swajeski. Here's my imaginary interview with Swajeski: I was told that the confrontation between Mac & Iris (Doug & Carmen) was one of the last episodes that Doug did before dying. True? Did you write it? What did you do during the 1988 Writers' strike? Was the Red Swan your idea? Did you write an evolution of Iris? Did you breathe life into the twins? Write for Anne Heche? Did you write for both Philece Sampler and Anna Stuart? Did you bring back Carl, Cecile & Kathleen at Halloween 1988? Did you create the Snowflake Ball? Did you create the B&W Valentine's Day film noir? Did you write Lorna's best stuff, fierce, Carl's henchwoman, affair with Matt, rivalry with Felicia? Did Peggy Sloane water down Felicia? [So he decided he would explain & it tuns out it has nothing to do with Swajeski at all, just people who have some beef with either Jackers or Browne. How convoluted.] Then I would move to GL & to Otalia. Last I would ask what in hell happened at AMC with DavidK & you together?
  13. WOW. What a last minute! I definitely did not see that coming.
  14. 🤔🙄😮🤣 You are correct! Wow, that is weird. So we just toss out that fan lore. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. Well, I was told at the time that they were doing the New Age "wooh wooh" thing with Frankie because of that copycat business, in this case OLTL's Luna Moody. (Was her last name Moody?) Anyway the Susan Batten role with all those characteristics & that it was suggested to the writer that she do a lookalike, well I guess a seemalike. Personally I think that our soaps doing so much copycatting is a weakness but corporations tended to do copycatting on products at the highest levels, so they wouldn't have given one hoot for my opinion.
  16. It was on this day in 1969 that Bright Promise debuted on NBC. This was the last show the Hursleys created before retiring. Gloria Monty was one of its Directors. Gail Kobe was one of its actresses. Dana Andrews was one of those few examples of Star Billing. Dabney Coleman was an actor. And, actors who would later show up on GH include Susan Brown, David Lewis, Tony Geary & Ann Jeffries. John Considine was in the cast & he later showed up on AW.
  17. You can imagine my pleasure at finding it! I always thought this quote was important partly because the programmer in question wasn't named, which I took to be a likely case of someone wanting to speak up but not wanting to get fired.
  18. For a long time I had a pertinent quote about the AW 90 minute show without a cite. I have connected it to its source now so I am recording it here & there. "Indeed, programmers at NBC, which led daytime in the mid-1970s but had become a weak third place by the late 1970s, basically admitted that they had stretched Another World to 90 minutes daily in 1979 because they couldn't come up with a better idea." p. xvi Hyatt, W. (1997). The Encyclopedia of Daytime Television. Billboard Books.
  19. On AMC despite Chuck Pratt's ridiculous writing Bianca/Reese was very popular. Both Eden Riegel and Tamara Braun have individual fanbases that are there for them no matter the pairing du jour. Steve Burton, the last time I liked him he was Jason Q, golden boy, and when I found out that they wanted to take him back to that & he declined, well, that's just not an actor that I would follow. That would have been an Emmy storyline.
  20. I, too, have taken many breaks from both GH & DAYS. I stuck 100% with AW & GL & PC even to the bitterest of bitter ends. AW the killing of Frankie was so hard. PC the killing of Eve was so hard. GL I've noted more than enough ConWest "like to kill me"!
  21. And BLQ explained that NEddie dropped the Quarter & just kept the Maine. And a Blaze sighting & more of Olivia's infatuation with NEddie. Of course the whole crowd loved him so!! I had to add a new thing I scream at the screen. Instead of "Run, Liz, Run!" it was "Liz, Save Jake! NOW!"
