  1. I can see being afraid of Ava. But I can see being attracted to Selina.
  2. No. At, I believe, 2 points we had an inkling. I can't back this up with cites or say who said what. Within the first 3 months someone from Peacock said we were in their top ten. At that point we would have been part of a big wave of new subscribers. Later it was said that we had slipped & weren't that good anymore. I realize that that is lame. I'd love to have access to numbers. It's just not gonna happen.
  3. Me, too! And, I honestly have no idea how that happened. Well, we will just have to agree to disagree on that point. When certain people come up, or certain events, I am likely to have things to say. Pratt is one but he only gets a little fire from me compared to, say, JFP or Frons, or McT. I can make no defense of not speaking about the Unabortion. Since it is absolutely one of the worst things to be done to a soap, everyone should have spoken up. I've spoken up about him & other people different places & times. It's because it came up. I've been more than ready for it to be done for some time. Which you basically said already. Folding my tents ... But I also do not always say it. Sometimes I just pass on by.
  4. Well, he's got such fabulous genes! They were probably waiting for the real thing to kick in.
  5. Omg this is insanely funny seeing it in print. Technically it's 15, Logan is her maiden name 😂 Oh! Thanks! Excuse me, just 15. It is appalling but hilarious!! 🤔🙄😶😉📋☑️ Got to have a clipboard to keep up with it.
  6. Okay, you asked for it. I don't think it is childish. He said what he said & that is not in dispute. If you must blame someone blame Lucci. She went her whole career basically without saying a hard word against anyone until she unloaded on 2 people: Brian Frons & Chuck Pratt. But I also think that he really did care about characters if it was a character that he created.
  7. Oooooo I figure that could be 4 months but time at GH is so hard to reckon. Supposedly some sites are saying she's on contract. I suspect that is wishful thinking.
  8. Neil I posed this to a friend who is very knowledgeable about SFT & about organ music & composers, etc. and he said that to his knowledge the original SFT theme by Chet Kingsbury was never orchestrated. Hope it helps.
  9. Gladys was terrified. She thought Sonny was going to kill her. GOOD. Going back to her old life with no resources, literally the clothes on her back is going to be hell for her. GOOD. But, a week ago Miz Wu gave Gladys 24 hours to pay up. What's gonna happen there? Sasha is finally free of torment & tormentors. Will she still be the Face of Deception? How bad is it going to be when she has a forensic accountant go over her assets? Cody Bell has redeemed himself. Will he let Mac know he's his son? Sam did GREAT! Dante did well, too, and he had to take off his black/white thinking cap. Montague will be charged & found guilty & do time & never be a doc again. I thought Sonny showed immense insight into Gladys as a user. Watching #GH on Hulu just a minute ago & Blaze just dropped into the bar & said, "Hey, Kristina!" with as much honey in her voice as anything could without being a bee! Be Still My Heart!
  10. The switch I'm talking about is the other end, when RKK comes on. They were very worried about the recast. I think 1. Victor wanted her to do it for him. 2. She liked it. She liked being in the restaurant business. This is just a different business.
  11. I'm still on the stunt ... If I recall correctly with the Bo switch that was a stunt it was during a masked ball, in a dance, with a partner, Hope, I believe. The other thing was that they did a big deal makeover on RKK to make him look more like PR. Now that look, Peter's look then, became RKK's forever look & that my friends is irony.
  12. I question whether it isn't a lack of interest. Good writers, it seems to me, write for anybody and whatever is on the canvas because it seems to suit the identity, history, etc., of the show. Yet, some writers tend to write according to their moods. IDK. When they get it right, I wonder if it was an accident.
  13. So much. All for Leo. And they're in love with what they think is their cleverness. Every time they say or refer to "Magic Penis" I groan because I am sure they think it's special. And as words go, it's just not. And I'm sure they thought the whole airport scene was remarkable. Just a pinch of Vivian. Add a dash of bittersweet Gwen. BAM NuTeresa. At least Chloe said "Parker" but I have no idea why she invited Philip to NY or why in hell he said yes. And she's moving, from one city to another because her romance fell apart & where she lived & worked was wrapped up in said romance. Brother! I feel like Chloe is in a world of trouble, running away instead of facing her problems & having no insight into herself, so why didn't they write a story about Chloe being in such a fix? And, not being able to write for John & Marlena's grown daughter, having almost no Hortons, not having Bo & Hope, underwriting Steve & Kayla, no Sami, no Carrie. But, boy oh boy, we've got Leo. And I still say PP was the best looking man they've hired who could actually act in years! Totally wasted. True! They pulled a stunt to change from PR to RKK. They pulled a stunt to go from Mark Valley to Steve Wilder. Then they pulled a stunt today. Today is weirdest because it's not the same character being recast. Obviously.
  14. THIS ⏫ except that I typically say that she is the most beautiful woman on the show & then everything you said. But, it's frustrating. Whatever they write, she plays it ably. So, what is their problem that they cannot write something really interesting for her?!! The wig was a one time thing. Apparently she colored her hair as soon as she was done with Gwen (for now anyway). And, this
  15. Tuesday. My ears were so happy at the sound of Lois!
  16. Sure when they employed the Mission Impossible TV show's latex mask device Stacy was only playing Kristen while Ari was playing both Nicole & Kristen/Nicole. Not a dual role like twins, evil twins or doppelgangers. Then Ben/Alex and Gwen/Teresa is something completely different. Maybe we could call them repertory roles as that's the only place else they occur.
  17. I'd like to see it contrasted with the Bo switch & the Jack switch & see how it stands up in comparison. I mean all 3 were stunts.
  18. That makes absolutely no sense! They had a plan in place & they knew how long it was going to take & then they changed & killed off Rose early, way early.
  19. Thank you. I think 3 yrs is at least respectful of fans' intelligence. Playing 2 roles in the same time frame should be reserved for twins & doppelgangers, if you ask me.
  20. Yes, this is Salem. The undead could be said to be a potential problem! And, that's been true for many more years than Ron's been top scribe.
  21. Here is a general information post I made about Bright Promise last month on its anniversary day. Today is Fri., 9-29-23 and it is another important day in soap history. Bright Promise had its debut on this day in 1969. You might recall that it is one of the shows that uses Star BIlling with Dana Andrews in its opening. It was a half hour show, on NBC from 9-29-1969 to 3-31-1972. Gloria Monty was one of its directors. Gail Kobe was one of its actresses. They would both later be EPs, Monty at GH & Kobe at GL & Texas! The creators & then HWs were the Hursley husband-wife duo. The fictional Bancroft College, situated in the town of Bancroft, someplace in the American Midwest, served as the center of the show's focus on its students and professors. The show's title represented the main idea of the dazzling potential that Bancroft's graduating class of future leaders would ostensibly provide. Thomas Boswell, the college president, was initially the primary character (Dana Andrews). Subsequently, attention switched away from the College and toward the entire town of Bancroft, with a particular emphasis on the families of Pierce and Jones. The major character at this point was Sandra Jones, a former Bancroft College student who wed into the affluent Pierce family. Frank and Doris Hursley, a husband and wife writing duo who had previously written General Hospital, produced Bright Promise as their final work before retiring. Cox Broadcasting provided support, and the packager was Bing Crosby Productions (doing business as Frandor Productions). Filming for the opening and closing scenes took place at UCLA. Original cast members included the show's star, Dana Andrews with Susan Brown, Paul Lukather, Ruth McDevitt, Ivor Francis, Forrest Compton, Richard Eastham, Betsy Jones-Moreland, Coleen Gray, Gary Pillar, Peter Hobbs, Peter Ratray, Pat Woodell , Susannah Darrow, Cheryl Miller, and Eric James. Later additions included David Lewis, Annette O'Toole, Dabney Coleman, Marion Brash, Anne Seymour, Anthony Geary, Gail Kobe, John Considine, Philip Carey, Anne Jeffreys and Sherry Alberoni. Isn't it amazing how many recognizable names were in this show?!
  22. The OG Banks siblings storyline is my favorite of James Reilly's stories. ED playing any of them or Kristen delights me. Stacy's Kristen and Susan are both fine, although she doesn't have Sister Mary Moira's voice down. It's Susan's voice, which is wrong for the character.
