The first vaccine is given in New York. I have to admit I got a little choked up watching this.

I knew something like this was coming. The cosplay socialists want us to lose Georgia.

Well it looks like Nina Turner is going to run for Rep. Fudge's seat. She's going to get so smacked down.

I'm glad to see this.

Nina Turner just joined a K Street lobbying firm so I'm hoping that the idea that she would run is just a whisper campaign. Not that it matters because it will be whoever Fudge endorses in the primary.

The EOs and Trump handing out Medals of Freedom are just ways to keep him entertained while we wait for inauguration day.

We're seeing two different things. Loeffler is just terrible at this. She's an absolute cyborg. She is an absolute vacuum of charisma. I saw a tweet describing her as a "short-circuiting Stepford wife and that really fits. I think Warnock is doing okay but he needed to do a better job of renouncing socialism. Too many Dems still haven't realized that it does us no good to try and equivocate about socialism.

Excellent news. I can't wait to see what Fauci is like when he has a president that supports him.

This is basically the equivalent of declaring war on the black church. I'd never thought I'd see this. Also...

Congratulations @Fevuh I worked with someone years ago who did a similar program at Harvard. It was tough and that was more than a decade ago. I'm sending you all the best thoughts I can. Also, thanks everyone for indulging my whining. I appreciate it.

That message from Joe and Jill really resonated with me today. I usually spend Thanksgiving with my mom at an open house hosted by family friends. I've often resisted going but I've done so because my mom loves it. I'd give anything to be doing that today. (Sorry. I'm feeling a bit maudlin and self-pitying.)

Plus he simply has too much legal exposure. The idea that he'll run again in 2024 is an example of the PTSD that the whole country has left over from 2016. He's not a supervillain and he's not immortal. He's a mobster who, once he's out of office, will no longer have any real value to the people who used him to attack this country.

Count me as someone who doesn't want to see Trump dragged from the WH. That would be such a reality show ending to the reality show presidency. I want Trump to go to Maralago or one of his other properties for the holidays and simply never come back. I want Joe Biden to have a dignified, COVID safe inauguration attended by all living former presidents and First Ladies (although the Carters obvs gets a pass). I don't want it overshadowed by Trump. I want it to be a thoughtful, somber event where we finally get to watch the end of the Trump years.

Nope. She's a weapon that gets used against us. We need to stay focused on Georgia and having her in front of the camera will only be a liability to Warnock and Ossoff. There are plenty of other Dems who can deliver that message. Also, calling out McConnell should probably come from senators who are better at message discipline.

I'll be honest that I feel a little vindicated. I know a lot of people saw Miranda and AJ as a couple but I never did. I always saw them as a sort of Jenny/Jesse friendship. There was so much dramatic potential there: AJ, Miranda, JR, Bianca, Marissa (remember her?), Dixie, Adam, & Erica. I miss Pine Valley so much right now.

Right there with you. Watching this state go from purple/swing to blood red has been like watching a slow motion train wreck and I honestly can't figure out how we reverse it. The only Democrat that can get elected in this state right now is Sherrod Brown. Although I am happy to see that Jennifer Brunner won her race. Every seat matters.

For all the talk about Latinos, I have to say that the thing that really blindsided me in this election was the emergence of the Native vote. This is a really interesting NPR interview with an organizer working in the Navajo Nation. https://www.npr.org/2020/11/06/932215037/how-native-american-voters-have-affected-election-results
