  1. I agree with all of this.
  2. I'd be all for them switching to at this point. I feel like Victoria will only get her backbone back if a capable actress takes over the role. That's why I always wanted Sarah Brown to takeover instead of being on B&B as boring ass surrogate, Agnes.
  3. I find myself liking Steffy on LOVING b/c Amelie Heinle just had IT, but what happened?! She sucks on Y&R and bored me to tears as Mia on AMC. Maybe it was writing on Loving and it excited her. She needs to capture back what she used to have. I think her tropes stand the test of time b/c she knew how to modernize them each time for the audience. She didn't stay stuck in the past with them. She's a writer that exemplifies how the same plots can work over and over again with changes and still impact the audience. Speaking of AMC 2.0, I still get mad that it and OLTL 2.0 aren't around. I've always felt those 2 shows would've been the remedy to soaps in the 21st century. They told such daring story. Especially, Cassandra's story. OK. I've never seen these. I am gonna have to find a day to snuggle up and watch these real soon. Perry Stephens was a gorgeous man. Why did God have to take him so early?! I do sadly find Jack boring from what I've seen, can remember about LOVING with my paternal grandma, and from reading synopsis on the show. I get he was supposed to be the young hero, but good God he was a too clean cut. How sexy that man was, he should've been pounding everything walking in Corinth. Everyone was focused on all the other soaps in the 80s and early 90s, but I am finding out that LOVING was where the true eye candy was at.
  4. If you don't find them, I'll try. All this talk about LOVING makes me wish more episodes would pop up. This is one show I'd love to see from start to finish. I really think I'd enjoy it.
  5. I'll love Linden for MK too. I'm still pissed that they didn't bring him back for the second movie and in turn killed Johnny Cage. Glad to hear that Robert Tyler is doing well if those rumors are true. I just miss that man on TV. He was just so sexy. Ugh!! In that '94 episode how she climbed on top of Dinah Lee and they were kissing ... oh my!
  6. Elise was last doing a reality show on TVOne called Hollywood Divas. She did it for about 2 seasons and quit. I think she is doing small films and TV stints still. She also has a dance troupe. This is the first about hearing Agnes wanting to bring Carla and Sadie to Loving. Was Ed in the plans too? As you stated, Loving was like Agnes' island for ideas and misfit toys. What I find even weirder and intriguing as that many of those throwaway characters on their main soaps fit perfectly on Loving. Angie, Frankie, and Jeremy fit well on the show.
  7. I've seen one of them for sure. I think it was a clip where Rick was arguing with Trisha about Jack and Stacey. I think he was accusing Trisha of Jack's side or something along the lines of that. Wasn't Rick her brother too? And poor Linden. His soap roles are boring with the exception of his time at Y&R. He was damn sure boring on Melrose Place.
  8. A bisexual psychopath/assassin?! Yeah. Reading up on this show might be my reading material for the next couple of days. Back to Loving, a hologram? Reading up on Loving, they had their duds too. That devil story and Ava using a pillow to play pregnant sound hilarious. When it comes to Stacey/Jack though, were they a popular pairing? They do have chemistry, but I find them cheesy in the episodes I've seen and from what I've ready. I wonder from long-term fans what they thought of Jack. From synopsis of the show that I read, I find myself endeared to Curtis over Jack. Jack, though sexy as hell, seems like he was boring except for the time he was with Ava.
  9. Didn't Lauri's son kill someone recently? If so, I don't think Bravo wants to touch her with a twenty foot pole at this time. Andy has always said that he wants Jeana back full-time, and they film with her, however, I am wondering whether Jeana does not wanna commit or she gets lost in the shuffle. I'm thinking how Housewives is now just doesn't fit with Jeana. I do want her back though. The only reason I am suggesting Gretchen returns is to see her f-ck Tamra over. I felt like s8, Tamra did Gretchen dirty and it only fair that Gretchen returns and pays her back. Especially, now that Tamra is weakened by the loss of Heather.
  10. The episode where Marshall Travers meets his demise:
  11. I have to go read up on this Egoli. Are you talking about the '89 episode I posted with Jeff taking Trisha off and that young lady being blown to bits? Yeah, I watched it and loved it. I've enjoyed a lot of Loving that I've seen as of late. I don't get how the show never caught a following. From episodes in the late 80s, I've found it more interesting that I've seen of episodes of GH from around that time.
  12. Wait? Richard Steinmetz went on to play Jeff Hartman on a South African soap? Also, didn't Jeff try and kill Trisha once upon a time? If so, why would she leave with him? That boggles my mind.
  13. Well I wish that they would've asked him back and just reunited him and Trisha. From what little I've seen as a child and now, I didn't care for Trucker/DinahLee. Glad to hear that SOD criticized the decision. I know someone has to be kicking themselves as Elise would go on to have a phenomenal career throughout the 90s and early 00s. I agree that Robert grew as an actor. He exemplifies how eye candy can become a good actor ... with the help of good writing, directing, and co-stars to assist. We're lucky to get 1 out 3 of those things nowadays. Sucks that Chris hasn't done much in TV after Loving. I thought he was one of the show's bright spots in its final retools.
  14. Wait? Elise Neal played as Buck's daughter? Oh! Now that is a story I'd like to see. Also, I didn't know that Dinah Lee was recast. I'd only see Loving so much as a child, and that was when I was at my paternal grandma's house, which was rarely. I guess I missed that stint. Understandable if Robert Tyler did retire. I just miss his beautiful face on TV. I think that killing off Clay and Curtis was dumb. I think those are two characters that were needed to shake up The City. Has Chris Marcantel worked in daytime since Loving?
  15. All that stress is what is causing Toya to gain weight. Sad part is that Toya causes her own stress b/c she won't stop trying to keep up with the Joneses. Also, I thought them moving from a house where they were paying 10k a month to 8k a month was so damn stupid. Might as well stayed where you were at. What is a 2k difference gonna do when they owe over 100k to the IRS?! Eugene should've moved their asses into a damn condo for about $800 to a $1000 in a nice area of Atlanta and called it a damn day. It is crunch time for their asses. Heavenly v. Lisa is damn stupid. Neither one of them should doing a conference giving advice when they are both heavily flawed. The women that pay to go see that sh-t are stupid. Ain't no way. If you ain't along the lines of Oprah, Warren [Buffet], Suze [Orman], or Iyanla, I ain't paying to see you. I need to see someone that is gonna lift my damn spirits or pockets. Neither one of them can do that. Jackie's marriage is on the rocks. Curtis clearly wants off this reality show. That's where the problem stems from. You can see it in his body language. Curtis' face looks like he'd rather be anywhere else instead of filming with these women and their husbands. He's disinterested. Jackie better choose: Curtis OR this show/her career. Quad's birthday party ... . She's just too damn extra for me. I'd wish Simone would stop trying to push a baby on Quad too. Quad is selfish. She doesn't want a child. She wants to be 'Hollywood' and put on shows. That's all she wants to do. I was happy to see Ms. Lucy return. I've missed her and her purse. I am ready for Heavenly v. Lisa/Mariah next week. I hope Mariah and Lisa dog walk her big ass.
  16. Oh OK. So I am guessing he once suffered from postpartum at one point when he saw the image of the girl in the cage. Makes sense.
  17. I pray that we aren't attacked either, but like @Vee has concluded, I think the writing is on the wall. I think it is inevitable. I'm praying it isn't something catastrophic like 9/11 or how we did Japan back in WW2.
  18. Question--in the '94 episodes, what was wrong with Curtis? I know that he was faking it in the moment, but what did he previously have to get therapy for? Also, wasn't that the department store that Ava ran? That was quite a lavish set. Doesn't Trucker and Dinah Lee eventually depart the show soon after this? I think that is so criminal that Robert Tyler never scored any acting work after leaving. I've always wondered if this was his choice or not. If not, his sexiness is terribly missed on TV. I wish another soap would've dug him up out the mothballs, much like they did his ex-wife, Jessica Collins. I always felt Robert would've been a great Cole recast on Y&R or Jake recast on AMC as he heavily resembled J. Eddie Peck.
  19. I agree. Dina is only housewife to return that was a damn dud. I never even understood why they brought her back when Dina was a bore the first 2 seasons (to me) anyways. They should've used that money and brought Danielle back then. She was the shot in the arm this show needed after s5. I guess Bravo FINALLY caught the hint after this season as they are finally entertaining her return. I wish the higher ups at Bravo would ignore Andy and bring back Jill on NYC. She's been in limbo and punished enough. I think she has enough story to offer this show in a future season--her relationship with the girls and Bobby possibly succumbing to his returning cancer.
  20. I caught that too. Funny how last season Erika claimed LVP is a sniper that'll get you from behind. Someone was doing a little projecting if you ask me.
  21. Full interview of Omarosa acting like her usual b-tchy self:
  22. I haven't watched it yet, but I will within the next few days. They put it on a stupid night, Thursdays, when TGIT has my full attention. This show would've fit perfectly (on my schedule) on a Monday. I am NOT here for the alleged Archie/Ms. Grundy pairing either. I prefer my Ms. Grundy to be old, crotchety, and strict. Not screwing Archie. That's what Betty, Veronica, Cheryl, and Valerie were for. Speaking of Valerie (and Josie and the Pussycats), I still don't get why they made Josie Black when Valerie already is and in the comics, she marries Archie. This show is gonna probably drive my ass mad with all the inconsistencies and not matching up with the comic books.
  23. F-cking hypocrites. They stayed on HRC for the same crap but NOW they wanna use private servers?
  24. @Cat I was thinking about the shift of NYC too when I thought of this announcement. Too much change would be jarring for the audience, hence why I feel that they need to bring back Gretchen, Lizzie, and Jeana. I look at Gretchen as the classic social climber, which most of us have in us, so I don't mind her on the show. I do, however, hate how she can play up to the cameras at times when it comes to her and Slade. As long as she and Slade don't play up the cameras with their relationship and just come clean that they don't wanna be married as they feel like they already are, then that is fine. That's something that a lot of people could actually relate too. I've read on RealityTea that a commenter stated Bravo wants Kelly back and that she is in negotiations, hence why we haven't heard her official announcement to return yet.
  25. What?! Heather is leaving?! Now that is shocking to me! I agree with that @Cat that this a tactical move b/c of the backlash she received. It was lukewarm in previous seasons, but last season truly did her in. That's that Kelly Dodd power for ya! You know TamRat has to be scurrying right now as she lost her biggest flunky in this move. ShanLoon better be fearful b/c this'll be the perfect time for TamRat to scurry back to Vicki while tossing her under the bus in the process. Yeah, Bravo needs to go ahead and do a cast of 8 women for OC. Bring back Vicki, Tamra, Kelly, and possibly Shannon. Give Gretchen & Lizzie back their peaches. Then bring on 2 new chicks to add new drama and blood to the show. Have Jeana be an heavily featured friend like Luann was in s6 of NYC too. With Heather & Meghan going, the dynamic is gonna shift heavily. This upcoming season is gonna be a game changer.
