Is Candiace quitting too before she's annihilated?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Karen is really strong and she can handle herself, but I agree, the dynamic will be like BH where it's the rest of the cast against one and it just becomes like a toxic game of Survivor. Sigh. Such a loss. However, good for them. They unmasked Gizelle for all to see and they don't need this show, while I am quite sure Gizelle needs a season 6 paycheque to pay for her renovation.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That is what I fear is about to happen. This feels like the moment where the show starts to self-produce and become a husk of itself. For a Y&R analogy, this feels like the death of John Abbott.

I wonder whether we watch the same show? Didn't you think Karen was genuine in her emotion with Candiace in that exchange?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That sounds just bizarre because it was addressed so thoroughly, which suggests to me that the Samuels' might have gotten wind of that intention before the reunion was taped, which is why they came in guns blazing on the subject so that it could never be raised again. Whoever tipped them off, if that's what happened, clearly pulls some production strings, because the tapes were pulled on Gizelle to substantiate everything Chris and Monique said. Honestly, Gizelle just came across about the worst I've ever seen for a HW. And I think she knows it.

How on earth could she be the target? It's cleat that Andy actively dislikes Monique - he's been awful all season long on WWHL anytime she was on and just seemed to dislike her at the reunion. If he's got anything to do with this decision he should be shown the door.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
It's a grave loss for the show. She had real money. A real family. From a production standpoint she has far more life left in her in comparison to Gizelle and/or Candiace. However, what Monique and Chris experienced really appeared to wear them out, so who can fault them for leaving...so if she had indeed quit, she dealt Gizelle a fatal blow on her way out.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
POTOMAC Well, it was 90 minutes well spent. That is the first time a reunion has run this long that was justified. I didn't feel we got any filler. Monique and Chris Samuels carried this episode in particular and highlighted some very problematic behaviour on Andy Cohen's part and if she had indeed quit it is a grave loss for the show. It was as if Andy was stupid enough to think that production wasn't going to show the footage they had. He was trying to tell Monique how to react and acting as if what she was saying about the plot against her son's paternity was fabricated and untrue. But in came production like a knight on a charging horse with the proof. That has to hearten the Samuels' somewhat that production had their back. Chris was tonight's MVP when he cried on Monique's shoulder and then said his epic "I release you of it, I forgive you. Hurt people, hurt people. Go get some help. I'm out." Gizelle got slaughtered again this reunion. Firstly, bringing her 'security' who didn't look like he wanted to tango with Chris Samuels was an insane extra moment. What a grandstanding fool. And then you had her pretending that she called Pastor Holy Whore during the break and that he told her he loves her. Please. PLUS you had production exposing her duplicitous, lying ass talking about Chase's paternity and her ludicrous excuse that Chris brought it up on camera when all he said was the baby looked like him, which was a CLEAR warning to not tread on that topic. AND THEN to have production caption her muttering "G*ddamnn with the tears" and "J*esus Chr*st" when Chris cried on Monique's shoulder...does she not know the commandment thou shall not take the Lord's name in vain? So much for being First Lady. Candiace was way, way more restrained this episode and it was interesting to see her throw Gizelle under the bus with her "Gizelle is a gossip and she's messy" comment, confirming what she'd said months ago on Instagram Live about the plot discussed at Andy's baby shower. Seeing the two Chrises after the cameras were off them shows that this problem could have been easily solved had Candiace not turned to Dorothy's lawyers or Gizelle's grandstanding. Ashley and Wendy were both non-events, as they have been throughout this reunion. It was hilarious that the only thing every HW and Husband could agree on was that Michael is a creep. Robyn...lordy. Aside from her Xerox hair, I hope she realizes that nobody is afraid of Juan Dixon, let alone Chris Samuels. Also, does anyone think her wedding is going to happen? I sort of don't. Last but never least... La Dame. Karen knocked this reunion out of the park. She looked great, showed up to play ball and made it happen. Even when Andy tried to mess with her she owned the scheduling of her wig launch party perfectly: "I told them what they needed to hear." Who hasn't been in that position at least once? Her impassioned "I was calling to get you help!" to Candiace was something out of Riche/Labine General Hospital and then her tears when Ray said he wanted to renew their vows was moving. Her "Keep my husband's name out of your mouth" as Ray stared daggers at Robyn in perfect sync with her was flawless. Karen stands in her truth and does not appear to have anything to hide anymore. Her ending statements to the ladies were also the real deal and it is obvious what a hateful, awful woman Gizelle is that she could not receive anything that Karen said.

Andy was AWFUL in this third episode, but I need to to throw up this epic takedown by Chris Samuels before I give my detailed analysis:
-
Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Absolutely. Candiace sits there running her mouth under her breath and then tries to play the trauma card? Nope. You don't get to have your cake and eat it too. Good. Now let's see if Candiace will stick by her proclamations that she wouldn't return if Monique did. And when production backed up every single thing Monique said while Andy, Gizelle, Robyn, Candiace, and Wendy tried to gaslight her.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Exactly. She is loathsome and always has been. I feel no empathy for her in dealing with Marc - they deserve each other.

100% right. There is no way on earth that Jen will be able to conceal her naked jealousy over the audience loving Heather and finding Jen exhausting and self produced.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Bravo has to realize that Karen is an MVP for the network. I think it would be interesting to see Robyn on her own without playing second fiddle to Gizelle. Robyn actually has compelling things going on in her life and when she did Heather McDonald's podcast I developed an appreciation for her. She's more interesting and streetwise than the show ever portrays. A lot of that stems from Robyn being Gizelle's attack dog and constantly in a petty feud with someone who, in reality, Robyn shouldn't have any issue with. Gizelle is the weakest cast member because she's self producing and has been rightly exposed. There is no coming back from this reunion for her. She should be exiting stage right. Andy always lets his personal bias in and it's time Bravo realizes he is their own Brian Frons and hustle him out of the franchise as well. Candiace siding with Gizelle is a result of her having no one else. Gizelle has never liked Candiace and never gotten along with her and whatever alliance they have formed will not hold.

She's not just any old side chick. If it's the woman Erika allegedly named, she's allegedly a California Court of Appeal judge, Justice Tricia A. Bigelow: https://www.courts.ca.gov/2382.htm

Except...look at the top left corner. Wednesday July 6. The last time July 6 was on a Wednesday was 2016. And let's be honest, those text messages look much, much older than that. Nice try, Erika. Whether Tom was a cheater or not, this is deflection.

It's very true. The thing with Ponzi schemes, and in my opinion when someone is overextending themselves with financing they're well on their way to being their own personal Ponzi scheme, the moment there is a hiccup in the system that's been sustaining the debt/payment cycle, the sh*t hits the fan almost instantaneously because every action is interrelated to the ones preceding and succeeding it. What I don't understand is how Tom Girardi's personal fortune apparently got wiped out. The LA Times article says he was worth, at one point, between $50 - $80 million. Where did all of that go? Alternatively, was that number ever real in the first place? And I completely agree with you, as I alluded to in an earlier post, about the ostentatious wealth taking over for legitimate storylines. It is a real flaw in the RH franchise as a whole, but no more glaringly so than in RHOBH. The race of conspicuous consumption is a race to the bottom when it comes to the shows themselves. Potomac, Atlanta, New York and now Salt Lake are all incredible shows and yet they are on the more 'humble' end of the franchise 'glam' spectrum. They're good because the women are open, honest, and hilarious. The hollowness of RHOBH started with Erika Jayne. I hope her undoing is the end of it.
-
Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That LA Times story is very worth reading because it shows how this has been a long time coming. It's very interesting that Erika Jayne was to be shuttered in 2015 because it wasn't making financial sense - yet RHOBH propelled them to think otherwise, likely to their continued detriment. Ultimately, Girardi not allowing equity partnership in his law firm, so he kept 100% control, may have been his undoing because there was no one to check and balance his decisions.

Whewwwwww. In my opinion, this guy is so full of sh*t he needs to wipe his ears. Glad he admitted he's been single, as in not with Gizelle, the whole time.

Fascinating...it really seems like a house of cards and once one was pulled, the whole thing falls down into itself.

Please tell me it's not about Tom? It's about Tom. Here's the thing about what's been alleged about Tom Girardi. Lawyers don't get a 'free pass' to f*ck with their Trust Accounts. The moment that allegedly happened, Tom's legal career was over. It is the clearest route that lawyers get disbarred. I don't know how it works in the United States, but in other jurisdictions the governing bodies do Trust Account audits regularly. The allegations about his firm appear to be that they've been operating a Ponzi scheme whereby they stole from their Trust Account and have been constantly playing catchup using money from Client B to pay funds owed to Client A, so they're always a few clients behind where they should be and constantly underwater. And then you have all these allegations about his firm borrowing huge sums of money and that those funds have been misappropriated. Law firms are like any business - once you start borrowing large sums of money, that should be an indicator that your business is in real trouble. The whole thing appears very dubious and sinister.
