John Larkin looks like a cartoon come to life! Those granite features and sharp contours of his face.
He died young (only 52) in 1965 .After leaving EON he had some primetime success before his death. The TV Radio Mirror seemed to report a lot on daytime and treat it seriously.

Re flashbacks. i always wondered about that ie flashbacks when shows were live. Did they know ahead of time what scenes they would want to use and put them on tape ?(seems unlikely)

I think that is Ronnie Talbot,Liz's brother= hence the faux British accent. The actor is Peter Stuart.

No this was live. ATWT didn't go live to tape until 75.

This would be late Nov/early Dec 72.
Dan was shot by the distraught brother of a woman who died in surgery performed by Dan.

Makes me think there is a lot of undiscovered stuff out there.
ATWT,Secret Storm,AW and several others was shown in Australia in the 70's so those tapes might still exist.

Ellen Barrett later went to SFT as producer. Was Michael still on at that time?
Michael Corbett is now very successful in real estate and has written books etc.
He was buying and renovating properties with his soap income back then.Smart guy.

Thanks for the feedback Carl.
Actually this Tina was Tina Richards, who was played by Toni Bull Bua.The later Tina, played by Hollen was Tina Cornell.
Howard Strassfield was actually Jim Strassfield played by Geoffrey Horne.Maybe the mix up on his first name was a typo or SOD got advanced info before the name change. That character was on for a couple of years with no real story.
Will try and find out who played Endicott.
I'm sensing some major Val/McConnell love here. Did you see her as Miranda on AW?

I think the Ellen/Kate mix up was just a typo

Details are leaking about the upcoming movie...
The storyline opens in 1752. Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet—or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy … until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Brouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive.
Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets. Matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called upon live-in psychiatrist, Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter), to help with her family troubles.
Also residing in the manor is Elizabeth's ne'er-do-well brother, Roger Collins (Jonny Lee Miller); her rebellious teenage daughter Carolyn Stoddard (Chloe Moretz); and Roger's precocious 10-year-old son, David Collins (Gulliver McGrath). The mystery extends beyond the family, to caretaker Willie Loomis (Jackie Earle Haley), and David's new nanny, Victoria Winters (Bella Heathcote).
Dark Shadows is currently scheduled to open in theaters May 11th, 2012.

I have only vague memories of this stuff. They burned through a lot of story in the self contained eps.
Always enjoyed FC. It was beautifully photographed and staged.

Joan played Judy Marceau,Bill's daughter. She really should have come back later, maybe with kids to give continuity to the story,

I wish I knew! Relying on you Carl to dig out some treasures...
I wish i had more time to chat to Patty McCormack as she might have been willing to talk BOE.

Seeing Jane Cameron there reminds me that Nancy was another viable character completely forgotten. And Cory Ewing should have turned up in the late 80's as a new teen.
