  1. Have we talked about Zico before? I think we have. My friend sent me the link to this. It's a departure from Zico's usual sound but I am really loving everything about this song (with it's retro opening sound) and the mv: In other news, Taemin is releasing a new solo album! A full one this time. And this is the teaser pic for it: Clone-cest? Here is the teaser. It will be a full album this time: And D.O. of EXO is going to release the full length version of Tell Me What is Love, a song he has been singing at concerts and which I absolutely love:
  2. Oh for sure Kim was the intended target, not Chris. But they talked about Chris in such a way that it is clear just in what low esteem they view supposedly 'gay' mannerisms. As a result, he's not a 'real man' in their eyes. He's corresponding to a certain stereotype. It's not even the words so much as the inferences and the little knowing looks and giggling -- kind of reminded me of being in school in the '90s when people used to talk about so-and-so being "like, omg, SO gay." I'm not gay so I guess this isn't my fight, but the episode still made me feel a bit uncomfortable/faintly disgusted. Maybe I'm over-reacting and some of y'all can correct me and say "Sit down. No need to be so PC about this."
  3. My problem with the RHoA episode is that gay is being used as an attack and an insult, in a sneering way, and by almost everybody. It was used to demean Kim Fields and emasculate Chris. I'm surprised Kenya engaged in it given what happened to her BFF Brandon two seasons ago -- if I recall, some of the cast (including Nene) belittled Brandon and treated him as "not man enough" before Apollo out of nowhere rushed him and beat him up. BTW, everything Brandon wrote on his FB page was on point and powerful. Even though Kenya is/was his friend, he still called her and the other HWs out. Atlanta has a large gay population. The cast sometimes pays lip service to "mah gays" and appears to have a significant gay fanbase, but this is not a good look. No blogs from the RHoA cast yet. Hmmm. I think it was Kathy from NJ?
  4. Oh Lord. RHoBH: Finally watched. It was a good episode! Can I just say that my love for Eileen in her gross shoes/bag/denim jumpsuit glory has returned in full force? I love her girl crush on Erika but at the same time bellowing "WHO TOLD HER? WHO?" Eileen has no time for BS -- including from HWs who claim they don't have time for it either. It is so clear that Yolanda is looking for any excuse to pin any kind of blame for anything on LVP. Lisa Rinna and others are merely collateral damage. LVP listening quietly to Erika scream at Lipsa was a picture in of itself. She knows who told Yolanda. And she knows Yol and Erika are trying to make her look bad. Her blog this week slayed them all. Basically she told them to BRING IT BITCHES: Erika looks really bad screaming at Lipsa in the previews. I don't understand the BFF friendship between Erika Girardi and Yolanda Foster. They... don't seem to have all that much in common. I would imagine that normally Yolanda would look down on someone as fun-loving (or "superficial" as Yol sometimes terms it) as Erika, who adores her labels and make-up, her flashy clothes, botox and boobs -- just like Yolanda has shaded the other women for enjoying. I also think it is very telling how somebody like Yolanda (and Erika) view friendship. 'Don't question me. Just worship me. Just tell me how saintly and brave I am. Stroke my ego. But don't ask questions of what I am doing because that is WRONG and BITCHY and MEAN.' Clearly Yolanda never met my (European) mom -- a woman who believes honey, lemon and ginger can cure the flu! -- who is all up my ass whenever I get sick. "What did you do? Did you dress warmly? Have you been eating enough protein? Here, take some eucalyptus!" All my family and friends have opinions on any sickness that befall us and what you should do to treat it. That's not being mean, that's actually trying to contribute other options! Erika, too, seems more comfortable being surrounded by her minions that she pays to rub bronzer on her tatas and whoop "Pat the puss!" than women who wish to voice an opinion or call her out on something she did. She could easily have defended herself by saying "Yes, I told Yolanda. She asked and I answered because she's my friend. I told her I heard Lisa and Kyle mention it in passing..." It would have been no biggie as everybody knew anyway and in any case, LVP and Kyle were more than ready to drop the issue. Eileen thinks Erika is fab so she would probably have dropped the questioning after that. Kathryn does not care. Lipsa would have likely backed down, too, because she is a people-pleaser.
  5. Oh Yolanda. Lipsa just served you a great big platter of
  6. I haven't watched yet, but if Erika didn't own up to telling (a positively thrilled) Yolanda, then she looks super bad. Lisa R's blog is straight up amazing. I also loved this shade: "Maybe we can attribute her new focus and tenacity to being on the mend and her health and strength improving. Watching her scold LVP and question her with such clarity and authority while unnecessarily throwing my name into the ring, a part of me wanted to stand up and applaud this extremely coherent woman who we haven’t seen for quite some time! Yep, her inquisition of LVP brought out that old spark of joy and glee in Yolanda. If I had a glass of lemonade, I would toast her." LVP is a healer of chronic illnesses, it seems. I thought I noticed Yolanda look positively gleeful last week when Erika told her LVP mentioned her kids. Now she is on a roll. The woman is only happy if LVP looks bad. It reminds of the lengths she went to at the end of S4 to accuse Ken of 'assault.' "Do you think my husband wants to hang with somebody like you?"
  7. A little bit thirsty maybe? Although her gross husband was thirstier.
  8. I'm happy for LuAnn. She looks genuinely thrilled! Especially after Heather/Carole etc targeted her last Reunion, at least she has someone in her corner. I'll bet her tag this season will be "I am no longer a Countess, but I will always be a Lady/elegance is just who I am" or something like that. I agree that seasons 1-2 were chores to watch. Danielle and her delusions were the only thing keeping me entertained those seasons. I enjoyed seasons 3-4 but seasons 5-6 is when I started to feel the show was a chore again. The Gorga/Wakile v. Guidice family rivalry killed the show. IMO, they need to stack this show come season 7. I'd suggest they go the RHONY route and add 4-5 extraordinary characters to breathe life into this waning show. Otherwise, RHONJ can join Miami, Vancouver, and DC in the great beyond. RHOA: Well damn. I didn't expect Nene to flip on Cynthia so quickly. I knew it would happen but not so sudden. Can't say I pity Cynthia.... These women better learn that Nene views none of them as her friends. They are all pawns in her chess game. I really liked NJ in seasons 1-2 (Danielle "You either love me or hate me. There's no in-between with me" ). IMO, bringing on thirsty-ass Melissa/Joey/Kathy/GrossSushiMan killed the franchise. Even the Manzos and Lauritas, ever ready to promote their own damn behinds, couldn't give a !@#$%^&*] about the Gorga/Giudice/Wakile (did anybody care about the Wakiles' beef with Tre??) mess. Bravo brought in newbies (+ Dina "Namaste, bitch!") last season and IMO it made NJ even worse. Those awful twins, Amber and the husbands were so thirsty they made Melissa look positively refreshed. I hope we never see those dreadful amateur-hour 'actors' again. Honestly, NJ was best when it followed the Giudice kids a few months' back while Teresa was in jail (coupled with Melissa whining about why wasn't she invited to visit Tre in the big pokey, lol. She really is just too awful). I actually felt something for Gia and her sisters. I know I shouldn't but I can't help it. It might benefit RHoNJ if they expand the pool from just having Italian-American cast members, because they are running those IA stereotypes into the ground. Otherwise get ready for more "We're old skool. We believe in RESPECT" Godfather-style opening tags. RHoA: Damn. Nene just used Cynthia, wrung her out to dry, didn't she? I kind of feel bad for Cyn now that she's thrown all her eggs in Nene's basket again. That #flipflopping hashtag tho.
  9. 'Exposing' LVP is FANFICTION You don't bring someone like her down easily. Or at all. That's what it is. Pure fan fiction. These women have tried to bring her down for five seasons and have failed. Move on. It ain't happening. Not in this lifetime. Thank you for reassuring me. I was worried that Yolanda and her fakery had 'got' Lisa and that she would run all the way to Reunion and beyond with it. How dare you question a sick woman and her sick children... Who are you to spread gossip... Who is Lisa Vanderpump in dis verld? I think Lisa will avoid going hard on Yol, tho. For the reasons illustrated above. And I also think Yol did score a victory of sorts by getting Mohammed to come out publicly on IG and say the LVP friendship was over. LVP/Mo really did have a long-time friendship. I also do not doubt for one minute that Mohammed said that to Lisa and he meant it just the way she took it. Allegedly Gigi Hadid is already telling worried family friends asking her about Bella and Anwar that none of the three kids are sick. Let me repeat that: NONE of them. Allegedly. 'Exposing' LVP is FANFICTION You don't bring someone like her down easily. Or at all. That's what it is. Pure fan fiction. These women have tried to bring her down for five seasons and have failed. Move on. It ain't happening. Not in this lifetime. Absolutely agree - it's fan fiction. LVP will not succumb to the likes of anyone. BH How does Kyle not comprehend that her undying loyalty to the Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick is not going to inspire joy in LVP? And let's be frank: the reason Kyle didn't want LVP flipping through her phone is because she's talking crap about LVP via text. Lips backtracked like a MACK truck...Yolanda was working Lips hard and Lips cracked like a piñata. Yolanda pretending she doesn't know about Munchausen disease? Give me a [!@#$%^&*] break. Lips shouldn't feel guilty. Yolanda is a walking contradiction. You know what struck me about that apology scene? The fear. Fear in Lipsa's eyes. Yolanda has her scared. Which tells me that she believes Yolanda is making this up and that this is a mental issue. That's why she was bowing and scrapping and couldn't get out of there fast enough. I felt bad for Lips actually. Kyle is just... The jealousy is real (even though I think it has died down a little). Her comment at the end about "BE CAREFUL LISA. Remember what happened the last time you sided with the new girl over me." LOrd. AS IF Kyle has some kind of social power in BH to shut Lisa out of the BH social scene! Girl, the reason Lisa took Brandi's side over yours is because you colluded with Adrienne, Taylor and others and tried to get everybody to turn against LVP at S2 Reunion. And then got your mouth piece Faye to go after Lisa the following year with the same tired "Chess game" mantra! At least Lisa has a sense of humor over it and over the fact that she holds a grudge.
  10. Did you catch the demonic light in Yolanda's eyes when Erika told her what Lisa said about Mohammed saying his children don't have Lyme? After 3 long seasons of not being able to sink Lisa, she finally GOT her. And it's a BIG one. This has allowed her to drive a wedge between the LVP/Mohammed friendship, because she has now forced Mo to come out publicly on social media in order to 'support' his children -- and by extension the mother of his children. Basically all Yolanda's christmases came at once in yesterday's episode. I am so ready for everybody to expose her at Reunion but I have a feeling people will hold back so as not to appear cruel -- or Yolanda will suddenly have to leave because she is 'relapsing.'
  11. RHoA: This is the slow unravelling of Kenya Moore this season. When she first joined RHoA, she came in guns blazing and everybody was thrown off by that. She went straight for Phaedra's marriage because it was clear that Phakedra is covering up a shitload of shady stuff, but Phaedra was too slippery for her. So she settled on that poor dumb creature, Porsha, which must have been like shooting fish in a barrel. It was fun seeing her stir the pot with such relish sometimes, but Kenya has burned so many bridges. Nobody at that Jamaica dinner cared for her and nobody made a move to stop her when she left. I feel bad because it reinforces her inability to trust other women, but at the same time Kenya has brought this on herself with her set-ups and pranks. She tried to come after another easy target, She by Sheree, this season, but Sheree nipped that in the bud. Now she has gone for Kim, thinking Kim is too by-the-book to play the game. Instead, Kim has ended up making Kenya look like the crazy, illogical one. I don't think Kenya realizes that to act out and try and pull the chair from under Kim (because shouting at her and trying to drag her into a screaming match didn't work) AFTER she failed to turn up at Cynthia's business meeting makes her look really, really bad. She needs to own up to the fact that she didn't put in the work necessary to pitch for Cynthia's 'ad campaign.' Instead, she is trying to paint it as Cynthia 'choosing' Kim over her. And next week she tries to paint Kim's husband as 'fruity'? It makes her look even worse. I know Kenya tries to make things happen on the show and assure her spot in the lineup, but if she keeps going like this, she might turn out to be the Danielle Staub of Atlanta -- nobody will want to film with her (unless you pay Phaedra more $$$ to have her pretend to be your BFF). RHoBH: "I've performed in every major city in the United States... and some dump ones, let me tell you." omg I really love some Erika Girardi. And dressing up for the Moulin Rouge must have been just another 'same sh*t, different day' moment for her. Yol: "And why do you think I post those (Instagram pics)?" Lips: "To get.......... awareness." You know Lipsa was thinking "attention" not "awareness" when she said that, Yolanda's creepy little smile while Lipsa was talking... her denial that she didn't know what Munchausen's syndrome meant... it still rings hollow for me. What turns me off Yolanda's plight most is her condescending, holier-than-thou attitude. All we hear is how she "Turns dee udder cheek" and is focused on connecting with nature/attaining spiritual enlightenment through nutritional detoxification. Yet she spends SOP much time passive-aggressively shading the cast for getting their nails done and going to parties. Take the chronic illnesses *cough*leaking breast implant -- thanks Mohammed for stinting on your wife's fake boobs*cough* out of the equation and Yolanda is no better than Lipsa, Eileen, LVP, Kyle or any of the others. She just happened to marry wealthy -- twice. Lipsa's back-peddling though.... Gurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl you just made Cynthia Bailey look subtle. Kathryn is trying too hard. She is an ok fit in BH, I guess, although I enjoy Erika better. Also Kathryn's mere presence kind of cements the need for the morally corrupt Faye Resnick to become a permanent member of the cast if not a HW. Dressed as the ringleader too -- Faye always aims high. But hey, everybody is talking about her and pissed by her. It makes a refreshing break from St. Yolanda's Litany of Physical Sufferings. (Yol couldn't walk for 5 weeks? Your muscles would atrophy and you would probably need physio to relearn to walk). I don't know how many times we can see Caftan McSplits keep doing the splits -- I was kind of over it back in Season 2.
  12. I love 4MINUTE. They are hands down my fave girl group in kpop (though Red Velvet come second) and this mini AND the comeback single Hate AND that sick drop beat has me literally booty dropping around my living room. I hope this is a grower and by the end of this week people grow to love this song. I can't get enough of it. MUST LISTEN to Winner's new tracks. It's been so long, I have practically forgotten what they sound like.
  13. Cube do not promote 4minute well enough. They have blown the budget on Skrillex producing Hate and, as a result, promotions are going to be lacking. Plus the stylists dressed them well in the mv but in the press conference to introduce the song? Um.... I don't understand why they don't give them an album, there are at LEAST 2 if not 3 really strong vocalists in 4minute. You can hear it so well in the ballad part of the song. Looks like both YG and SM are trying to follow this Big Bang formula of releasing things in drips and drabs in order that fans stay buying. SM want to release something from one of their artists once a week! I feel like that is almost too much. Sometimes you need to miss a group to appreciate them. Speaking of Big Bang, I really like that iKON song you linked to but I also think it sounds very BB-ish -- Baeng Baeng Baeng chorus-like. Nothing wrong with that, just saying! Hey Cheap, did you ever compile your best of kpop in 2015 list?
  14. Bless this kpop thread. It has been so long. I missed you! 4minute released HATE yesterday. It's not as good as Crazy but... I like it? The main beat is kind of farty but catchy. 90s hep-hap alert! Jihyun wow. Looks so good with blonde hair and blue contacts! They all looked good actually:
  15. As so often with your posts, DF, I find I agree 100% with your conclusions. Your take (and Tamara Tattles') on Yolanda is spot-on, and if she can't take the questions after she made 'Chronic Lyme' THE central SL on RHoBH this season, then she shouldn't be on TV. Period. I used to think her 'health advocate' Daisy was creepily SWF-ing her. Now I wonder if Yolanda is SWF-ing Daisy to burnish her Sickly Saint cfredentials. And I have to wonder how much of this health quackery is an effort to either get her pre-nup to David Foster annulled and/or to land some lifestyle brand show. You are so right about LVP. Even as I become somewhat disappointed at her efforts to stir the pot on BH, I still cannot help but love her. I don't want to stan blindly -- I think I can see LVP for what she is, flaws and all -- and maybe that is what is the problem with some of the other ladies re: LVP. They want LVP to be perfect all the time. They want her to be attentive to them all the time. They want validation from her all the time. And if Pinky doesn't want to give it, she won't. Kyle's fakery about "Don't talk to me about Kim!!!" when she has spent 6 seasons demanding that she be painted the Poor Little Victim at all times is laughable. Kyle loves the attention. Playing victim is her only, and best, role. She has always resented not having central OG status on the show as she felt was her due. "It's not about YOUUUU, Lisahhhh!"
  16. IA, the picture is awful. I got a chill when I saw the way Yolanda seemed to be looking at her child so... triumphantly. There is something not right about this entire set-up.. I daresay that after this season even LVP may have had her day. Mohammed has very publicly broken with her and people feel she is stirring the pot with Eileen. I love watching but something about this season feels very End of Days with BH. Cat, Miss Lawrence has popped up at least one. And Idk if you saw the coming later in this season of RHoA, but Dwight will be showing up, too. At the X-mas event I believe. I did catch him, but it felt very brief and in passing. I liked in the Olden Days of ATL how Dwight, Derek and Miss Lawrence flowed through a lot of the episodes. Derek did Kim's wig line, Miss Lawrence recorded a song with Kandi and Dwight lent Greg some money, lol. Ooo, I'll be on the lookout for that, thanks! RHOA For Cat (and anyone who hasn't seen it already) I forgot about this trailer when it was screened earlier this season. OMG! Is Jamaica here yet? That trip looks PACKED with drama!
  17. OMG Mohammed is so PISSED at Lisa VP right now. Honestly, he's doing things the good old BH way -- brush everything under the carpet and pretend everything is fine. Deny, deny, deny. I am totally creeped out by this picture. Poor Bella. Yolanda looks like she is gloating over her daughter's physical weakness as Bella gets God knows what IVed into her arm. I am wondering if she really thinks she is sick and as projecting that 'sickness' on the people around her, or if this is just an elaborate ploy for alimony and attention. I really hope these people are not really sick with Lyme.
  18. I'm sorry, they are ALL giving me life in this pic. That would be a great dream team for drama. Agreed. This would be my ideal group on Atlanta. I sort of wish Dwight and Miss Lawrence would come back too. I think Cynthia looks absolutely the best out of all of them. I like Nene's boots, too.
  19. I need to catch up on this episode but... sigh... I don't feel the URGE I used to with BH. And BH was always my favorite franchise. This season is leaving me very trepidatious (the OC mess didn't help), even though I am aboard the Erika bandwagon now. I think she is fabulous, a real LA/BH society character.
  20. Ahahaha I know, that was brilliant (as was Gamble flashing her ring). Glad it's back! They are repeating S2 here rn and I'm at the Reunion part, rewatching. One of my favorite franchises and I'm so glad everybody is back too (well, I wouldn't have shed any tears if Pettifleur had been let go but I guess she provides some entertainment so I'm cool with it). Gina, GAMBLE, Chyka, Jackie (who is the one I think might be preggers), Lydia (don't judge, I love that fake-ass, self-agrandizing, dumb bitch!), Janet... they're all fab as far as I'm concerned. I hope we see more of Chyka's hot af husband because DAMN. I love how sweet he and Chyka are with each other, too.
  21. Au contraire Cheap! Apparently Winner will be having comebacks throughout the course of this year! In fact, according to Instagram, they filmed a mv in London a few weeks ago and Mino kissed a female love interest in it. Contrary to prevailing assumptions about crazy kpop fans, Inner Circle fans went onto the girl's IG (she's a model in the UK) and complimented her on a good job. Cute! http://omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/17300194.html Here is her IG with the teaser film for Winner on it: https://www.instagram.com/pixiee/ Looks like YG are adopting a Big Bang/MADE strategy for both Winner and iKON -- spread out their releases over the year so that they comeback continuously? BTW iKON are growing on me. And I think Bobby is cute, especially when he takes off his snapback, lol. More comebacks: 2PM and Japan: http://omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/17300668.html. Sad to think they might be approaching enlistment. 2PM looks so young to me! And 4minute planning a cb too. In fact, their goal for a release is this month: http://omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/17303598.html
  22. I was going to write something similar but you said it better. Todd is in the right but Kandi's too scared to go right to Phaedra so she sends Don Subway and everybody else to go after weak link and hothead Porsha. Kandi better be ready to confront Phaedra at Reunion, though. After what Phae said on her VT about Todd, I would imagine the gloves are off -- IF Kandi plucks up the courage. She seems to prefer stirring the pot and then stepping out of the way. But Phaedra is... I don't think 'shady' is a strong enough word. Phaedra is a charlatan and a con-artist. She's in Apollo's mess right up to her neck. We don't hear anymore about her budding mortuary business -- I'm assuming that was one portal by which she has used to defraud people. Her parent's ministry may well be another route. When Apollo ran around the house the day he was meant to turn himself in, the implied threat that Phaedra better not piss him off (or he'll spill some tea) was evident. I think that's why Phaedra has not filed for divorce -- yet. It is a real house of cards. I feel sorry for the two babies who are as sweet and adorable as can be. One thing I have to say, Phaedra clearly adores Ayden -- she said herself he has all her best characteristics.
  23. I love DxDxD too! It is a really fun song and the dancing is cool. SFY mini album is a grower. And Unfair has been the standout. It's like an unofficial fun Christmas song. My little puppy bear Kai had to wear glasses because he got an eye infection. I love the nerd look on him, but I am Kai trash.
  24. omg Cheap I can't get over that Sharknado 2 gif! I too wish Camille or TayShanna had come back fulltime. TayShanna wants it BAD and we already know she will bring the messy. Thus far, all I see with Erika is a less anger-management prone Carlton. Or they should have brought Lea Black (from Miami) who summers in LA to join the cast. She's big on the social charity scene and I could see her fitting in with some of the women. This Yolanda SL is going the way of that Brooks Ayers mess on RHoOC and it is not a good look.
  25. I was also disappointed at Kim this last episode. I am one of the few here who likes Kim and enjoys variety in my HWs. I don't need them all to be pot-stirring, turnt up drama queens. However, she was sitting with Kandi by the pool, and she saw Glen get aggressive with a pregnant woman who was staying out of the drama and the partying. Kim had this insipid grin on her face the whole time, even though she agreed with Kandi afterwards that he was being aggressive and threatening. Kim had plenty of tears to waste at the Miami party about how this scene wasn't for her, but here she sat back, watched it all like it was dinner theatre and blamed it on one person. Unless she saw something which we did not see -- and which production deliberately cut out of the episode -- and this whole thing was a contrived piece of acting by everybody involved, set up by Carlos King and his production staff. Which I'm not sure it was, at least not the way things ended.
