Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Plus Mexico got whacked with two earthquakes! *prayer circle for Morocco* In answer to your last question, I think this is make or break season for NJ. If ProstitutionWhore! can't make the drama work on that show, no-one can.

Yeah, I appreciate them filming together and going out to dinner and the trips. Hello, Boutique! I appreciate that social aspect because it captures the Manhattan whirl very well. I just don't like it when Bethenny is braying at everybody about what they can drink, when they should eat, you f*ck everybody!, do this, do that, lol. I don't think it will become Nene's RHoA because I don't think the producers want it to become the Nene Show! They don't want to be constantly dealing with her diva demands. Also Kandi will have something to say about that, and so will Kenya. Given that the EP does Don't Be Tardy and is allegedly boning the Zolciak Mini-Me, I'd be worried about Kenya getting a bad edit this season when it comes to Kim vs Kenya. Porsha is, in the words of Drucilla on Y&R, "lint." I miss NY Heather too. She did try to slut-shame the Countess in Turks & Caicos (I just realised that so many RHoNY vacation locations have been destroyed by recent hurricanes -- St Barts also) but she was strong, positive, smart, had an interesting life and career, real stuff going on, and the fact that she and Bethenny didn't quite fit made for an interesting dynamic that season. Lydia is basically doing what the OC producers tell her in order to stir the pot. She and Doug must really need the money imo.

Bethenny Frankel's RHONYC. Starring Bethenny Frankel. And some other people. Produced and directed by Bethenny Frankel. Sponsored by Bethenny Frankel... and Skinnygirl. Yeah, it bugs me that this is no longer a true ensemble. Plus all the other women have to kiss up to Bethenny in order to keep their job.

While we are on the subject, Sheree should be parked on the side too. She was gone even longer! I have a feeling they arranged the lineup according to dress color/length combinations, with perhaps only Nene contractually insisting on that center spot. I know she's been away a couple of seasons and doesn't really deserve it, but Bethenny on NYC was away too and, if I recall correctly, immediately got center space in a lot of the cast lineups when she came back.

Count me in as one of the people who feels that Mariah has got majorly shafted since S2. She CARRIED this show on her back the first two seasons and was the reason I tuned in! I don't know which producer told Quad she was fabulous enough to carry the show, but that person needs to be fired for false advertising! Quad will always be a Melissa Gorga to me -- a jealous second-tier wannabe who threw her close friend under the bus in the misbegotten belief that the audience are actually interested in her. I also can't stand her fakery and "OOO Miss Simone honey chile" stuff which is indicative of someone who adooooores the sound of her own voice. Don't get me wrong, Dr. Jackie and Dr. Simone do bring it in their rational, careful way, and I find their RL drama the most emotionally real. But you need a real drama queen to balance that rationality out. Neither Heavenly nor Quad are that drama queen imo... but Mariah Huq is.

IA they could and should have done better with a location. Like a gorgeous, wisteria-laden white porch in Buckhead, for example. So that we know we are in Atlanta, in the south! This shot could have been taken at the Pittsburgh Crate & Barrel for all we know. I can only assume that if Kenya is not center next to Nene, either Nene complained and insisted Cynthia come over, or the color scheme of the dresses necessitated it. Or Cynthia really does have a full SL this season and deserves a front-and-center spot! And I say this as someone who liked her SL last season and her path to independence. TBH I thought Sheree was Kim Z after one too many facelifts. I am so ready for Plastic Face to be taken down about four notches...

First of all, Bryant Gumbel is fine as hell and could still get it as far as I'm concerned. Secondly... IMO it's hard to classify Andy as an out-and-out misogynist the same way someone like Trump -- obsessed with Megyn Kelly 'bleeding from everywhere' or grabbing women by their boosays -- is a misogynist. My personal view is that Andy just doesn't understand women. He loves them on a surface level, loves the Erica Kanes and the hair-tossing and the way they dominate an episode of Dynasty. And I get that, because that's a big part of why I post on SON! He is a pop culture aficionado, consumer of glamorous gossip, proudly superficial and that's fine, especially in this day and age... But his feeling towards women is always going to be surface only, and consequently his empathy for women will only be surface, too. I wouldn't say he is disdainful of all women, he just likes some more than others. But he is fascinated by female emotionality and 'weakness' -- weakness for men, weakness for love, weakness for booze or drugs. I took his 'cokehead' statement of Jessica Savitch not to be about any kind of hatred, just that he doesn't know or care about all the other stuff, like her work at NBC or being the first female anchor of NBC Nightly News. Her addictions and sudden, awful death overshadow all that. Kind of like Kim Richards is basically known for the sum of her addictions, and no longer for Return to Witch Mountain. I'm pretty sure she and Tamra felt that if they refused to film with Vicki, they could edge her off the OC like Danielle Staub was edged out of NJ. However, this can backfire -- witness Jill on NY trying to edge Bethenny out or Andrea on Melbourne trying to isolate Gina. It backfires because there is always That Moment where you can see the plot clear as day, exposing the perpetrator for who (s)he is. I think we just saw that moment with this week's episode and Shannon. Tamra really is like Teflon, though, she came out of this week's episode relatively unscathed!

Oooo thank you bb! This means IT'S COMING SOOOON! Nene's wigs are not great, but the pulled back ponytail is probably her best look in some time -- ever since she decided to 'grow' her hair longer, which imo does not suit her. Speaking of wigs, Kandi was sporting a hella dodgy Cleopatra one which has more than a whiff of Mama Joyce about it. I see Papa Smurf is back -- silly me for thinking last season would be the last we saw of his money-grubbing ass! This season looks lit -- better than it has in a while. I would drop Porsha and Sheree though; I don't find them interesting anymore. I think yesterday's episode might be the one that seals Shannon's fate tbh. She literally blocked any kind of SL movement on this show, and she will prob take the blame for the falling ratings.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Bravo/RH needs the boost. I def hope an October air date is true! Nene reading Porsha for filth AND Kenya telling Wig to go pimp her useless daughter who rumor has it is sleeping with RHOA's new EP? Bring it! I want to see Porsha and Wig brought down for once -- they've always managed to duck responsibility for their actions up until now! OC: Shannon is obsessed with the OG of the show. Obsessed and JEALOUS. Her jealousy is eating her alive, because she is so damn miserable (same with Tamra but she dresses it up better). She actually cannot see that Vicki is probably almost as miserable as her. And so Shannon must control EVERYTHING. That's why she calls Tamra 30 times a day and can't let her have a conversation alone with Vicki and Kelly. That's why David can't stand to be around her suffocating, insecure, exhausting presence. As Lydia pointed out, she was probably jealous that Vicki wanted to talk with Tamra and not with Shannon -- thereby excluding Shannon from being the center of attention and depriving us of some self-righteous histrionics ("I will.... NEVER FORGIVE YOU! YOU ARE EVIL, VICKI!"). When she started telling that bartender about all her problems and he totally ignored her, that summed up everything about Shannon's life. I think this is the episode where viewers will turn on Shannon, the same way viewers turned on Brandi when she shoved Kyle and wouldn't let her talk to Kim at Game Night. It's almost too bad because she is really the only person bringing it this season. Her crazy-mixed-with-narcissism is fascinating to me. Peggy is... such an odd misfit in this group. In a way, her reaction is funny, but I still don't think she should stay another season. Diko pretty much wants to be the HW, not her. I forgot Meghan was even on this show until that random bit with her baby. She is so disinterested in that poor child. Where is Jimmy to burp Aspen and change her diaper?

You're right. I blocked the last 3-4 seasons of NJ out of my mind. I couldn't even watch the season featuring that Marchese slime and Da Twins.

Ouch. Eddie the gym owner should have thought twice before retweeting that. I thought he'd keep quiet and stay out of the drama. I honestly feel like I am watching the OC franchise implode before my very eyes. And not in an entertaining way, but in a totally ignominious way.

Spooky! I am binge-watching Insecure right now! It came up as a recommendation for me, so I downloaded the first episode and voila, here I am almost at the end of S2! I'm not black so I appreciate that it gives me a new perspective, but I can relate to not being invested in a job, or the job not being invested in me (as a female). lol who hasn't cringed at (or maybe recognised themselves in) the tryhard yet tone-deaf wokeness of Issa's work colleagues. Who doesn't have that perfect, know-it-all friend? And of course who hasn't messed up their relationships with foolish decisions? The irony is that bar a couple of (always appreciated) sex scenes, Insecure could and should be soap fodder. It has such a clear vision about the characters and where the SLs are going, and the locations are perfectly chosen and shot. So why is Y&R talking about their characters as 'archetypes' and shooting in CBS's dumpster alley??? Anyhoo that is a rant for another day. But like I said, Bravo has the resources to put real-life people with multi-dimensional personalities, diverse backgrounds and rich life experience on its shows. People are crying out for more of that, not less! It doesn't have to give up its finger-snap divas to do that, either. Re: BH, I got excited when I saw the NYFW pics too. I hope that trip gets featured! Usually BH starts in late November so soooon... And I assume Atlanta will be getting an early November start.

You mean her and Erika? ETA: Oh wait, i read too fast. You liked Eden? Im surprised, for some reason i thought you felt she was a dud! @Antoyne me too I didn't understand why she wasn't asked back. I think she would have done another season, and LVP and Kyle (and Kim) really liked her (Kyle still maintains contact with her). However, it seemed that right after S6 reunion, Bravo announced that she wasn't returning.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
You mean this? I was taken aback not just by the heavy eyemakeup but by the Kardashian-style contouring all over Kyle's face! Her nose and cheekbones have been contoured within an inch of their lives. She out-contoured even Erika lol. It stands out to me (as a bit of a beauty junkie) because Fenty Beauty has just launched to rave reviews (and lines around the block daily here in London), and it is kind of the anti-Kardashian matte contouring look. Very dewy, pretty makeup effect, which I think would serve both Erika and Kyle well. Both are beautiful women with great skin. They don't need these heavy contoured looks, except possibly when performing on stage. Also Kyle looks like she had a mini-facelift done about two years ago so really she has never looked younger. LOL Rinna still lives in the 90s fashion-wise and that's ok! She is a 90s small-screen icon. TBH her piece-y highlighted hair is getting a bit too outdated for me, so I like the slick-backed look she sported above much better. I think it suits her face, brings out her pretty eyes and takes the heaviness out of those lip fillers tbh. However, I understand that La Rinna is a brand now and the Meg Ryan hair is part of that brand. I had the same feeling you did re: Andy Cohen's reaction. In the past he would have been like "So... is Eddie seeing anybody??" and totally loved it. I do remember back in the day Brandi, Nene and others referring to their pet gay men as "my gays" and even though I am neither male nor gay, it bothered me that my gays were on a par with my chihuahuas, you know? Having said that, I did enjoy Dwight a lot on RHOA, as well as Miss Lawrence. More recently there is Brandon, whom I class as a close friend of Kenya's more than a gay appendage. Following him on social media, I like that he presents a more rounded view of what it means to be a gay man today outside of the Bravo finger-snapping stereotype. I can't deny as a Bravo junkie having devoured shows like Million Dollar Decorators which banked on that very stereotype also... but there is a shift in people wanting authenticity and inclusion in portrayals of people on TV. Bravo needs to up its game when it comes to fleshing out what it means to be gay or female or over 45 or black or whatever (still waiting on Latina and Asians) in its reality show franchises. Since Bravo and some of the RH brands appear to be slumping a little bit, I actually think this would serve the franchise and the network well to push the boat out a bit. They've established these real-life characters/Bravolebrities; now time to go deeper. Sorry, that was a long answer to your question. I haven't watched Project Runway in a long time, except that I will always love Tim Gunn lol. I think he's a good guy (I never see him decimate or humiliate the contestants for sport) and an actual authority when it comes to the technical side of fashion.

On another BH note, the ladies were all together for NYFW (I trust and believe this was filmed for the new season!), looking spectacular in fall fashions. Dorit got a feature in something called Bella magazine so the ladies came out in support at the launch party. I think this is the most conservative I have ever seen Erika look! She looks like a Fox News anchor! New hairstyle for Rinna: Kyle with Teddi, the new HW. I'm so glad Kyle's iconic long hair is back: Cute! Looks like the rumors are true of these three being a trio: cr Bad old Season 6 BH is showing in syndication where I am. Watching the Reunion, I am struck at how much I really liked Kathryn and wish she was given a second chance on this show. #JusticeForKathryn. Also struck at the way she held her own when Erika went after her. She mentioned something that I missed the first time -- how in Dubai Erika talked sh!t constantly about the women and how badly they dressed/looked both on and off camera. Spill the tea, Kathryn! Cut to the next season, when they all went to Hong Kong, and Erika was visibly irritated when the other women upped their game and showed up to dinner with great outfits, hair and make-up. I believe even LVP changed her stylist between season 6 and 7.

No, she doesn't like LVP -- and in recent times she seems to have included Ken in that dislike, too. Ever since Yolanda claimed that Ken 'laid hands' on her at that BH Chamber of Commerce party (which the cameras showed was clearly not true), I feel like Ken has become 'fair game' for people who dislike Lisa. They see him as her Achilles heel, and that if they can get at him, they succeed in getting at her. TT seems to feel the lawsuits are a pattern of bad conduct on the Vanderpump-Todds part. Like you, I wonder if the US is excessively litigious and whether LVP got tarnished with a couple of lawsuits which did not involve her directly but rather individual employees at Villa Blanca. I have no clue what is truth and what is lies in this latest suit, but I brought the link here to see what others thought. Also because I wondered if this is what Dorit said to LVP which made her cry (reported recently during filming of the current season of BH). TBF this could well be a mountain out of a molehill -- it is a lawsuit regarding doggie clothing, after all.

The 'husband is gay' thing seems to be this year's fake illness SL. Dallas has it, too, with Cary and Mark. I'm glad that Andy for once is pissed off at this borefest. I thought Vicki looked so bad stoking the rumours at her dinner party and clutching her pearls. She clearly engineered the entire conversation, and Whatshisname, Lizzie and Gretchen were more than willing to go along with it in exchange for some camera-time. As for Tamra, she needs to decide whether she gives this nothing-rumour credence by acting insulted, or if she laugh it off and never look back. She can't have it both ways. And yes I am fully aware that her 'psychic' is often used in the same capacity as Vicki used Tamra's ex-gay BFF -- to besmirch reputations. So she is getting what she dishes out. Nevertheless, Vicki has played right into Tamra's hands by pro-actively giving the gay rumours life. She looks like the villain again, at odds with her "I'm not the bad guy" mantra, and Tamra looks like the victim. I wonder if this means Bravo are looking at either Vicki or Tamra to leave the show. I read another rumour (lol) that Vicki has a contract which says she can never be fired from the OC. Only she can choose to leave. If that is correct, that is very interesting but also a dumbass move on Bravo's part. I think I read that out of all the HW shows, Vicki is alone in having this kind of contractual leverage. IF it's true. And if it's true... I don't know how I feel about that. In BH news... should we talk about this? http://tamaratattles.com/2017/09/13/lisa-vanderpump-and-ken-todd-face-yet-another-lawsuit/

Y&R: Old Articles
The thing with Terry Lester was, I had no idea what he was like as a person outside of the character he played. His grasp of Jack, the many shades and flaws of Jack, meant that his command of the character was total. Added to that was his chemistry opposite everybody he played, especially women (and yes, I know that it was speculated that TL was gay, but that didn't stop Jack from looking like he was slowly undressing every non-family-related woman that crossed his path with his eyes). I never felt like Terry Lester was playing himself, I could tell that Jack Abbott was probably different from who he was IRL. But it was clear to me that his acting was so natural and spot-on that it didn't look like acting at all; Terry Lester breathed Jack Abbott.

I hate to say that Joanna Krupa has a point, but... she has a point. Lisa looks ridiculously divorced from reality with that post.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
You lost me at "hot boyfriend." Seriously though, and in answer to your question... It's all subjective. I have been watching RHONY since day one and did I unanimously like Luann throughout those 9 seasons? No, ofc not. These women show so much bad alongside their good sides. However, if I supported Lu this season even through a dodgy marriage... it's because I find her more likeable than someone like Carole or Bethenny. I think Lu was tired of being lonely, and desperate to get married, that she jumped on this D'Agostino relationship like the last chance saloon. And now she's licking her wounds. I could laugh at her and crow about how pathetic she is, but... eh. I like her and feel for her. I don't know if you watched RHONY last year, and maybe then, too, you thought Bethenny and Carole were fantastic, but I thought they were awful. Luann was kind of minding her own business and doing her Tom thing offscreen, but these two decided to attack her from the get-go. They were really mean and spiteful, and since then I cannot find their putdowns entertaining. Not to mention, the way they went after Jules about her anorexia, goading her almost to the point where they seemed to want her to fall off the wagon. I found them smug and pretentious and cruel -- all the things you didn't, I guess. I don't really want to see a third straight season of Luann being torn apart while Andy Cohen's BFFs and the housewife with producer powers on the show stack the deck against her. On another note, IA about what you said regarding the HWs who voted for Trump. I also agree about LVP in that I am hoping she gets more real this coming season. I can't do another season where she hides her pot-stirring and gives Rinna and Erika yet another reason to lord it over her. In other news, Yolanda's book 'Believe Me' comes out today. Tamara Tattles has a great write-up of the costs associated with her crazed health journey. It is... insane. This OC trailer is incredible. Bravo should have scrapped 98% of the first half of this season and just done 8 episodes of all of this. Iceland looks like it was incredible. Love the two Norsemen in wigs duking it out interspersed with footage of the ladies going at it! OC's editors are always the best. P.S.: Meghan is the worst! So insufferable. P.P.S.: I really like the Brandi-Stephanie-Cary trio on Dallas. *hides*

YAAASSSS @Nothin'ButAttitude @juniorz1 ! Miami Tawk! I miss Miami too. ITA that the essence of Miami, Cuban-American Miami, was captured in S2, especially thanks to breakout star Mama Elsa who, true to her name, had something kind and nurturing about her. The cast was almost perfect imo except for Stinky Ladyparts Joanna Krupa. She stuck out like a sore thumb as a fake Miamian with her fake SLs. The only reason I tolerated that vapid, ugly-on-the-inside escort girl was because of Romain lol. The battle of the weddings in S3 was definitely the cause of its downfall -- the show became only about that highly contrived SL. Alexia and her family drama saved S3 for me, because at least it was authentic. In fact, Alexia remains to this day my fave in the Miami cast. But losing Ana and Karent and reducing Marysol to FOH diminished MIA and is Cast of Thousands big city magic.

I'm laughing so hard because I doubt any of the women on FelonJersey are that upset about racism or abiding by the tenets of the law! We all know DS is a thug with a coke-whore past. She has made anti-gay slurs, and she isn't alone! I think it is a convenient excuse because a couple of the ladies may be threatened by Danielle's presence on the show, and her taking over their HW spot.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think Andy loves a good bitch -- and loves HWs that he can control or manipulate. Kyle is a natural follower, so that's why he thinks she's great (he also has a soft spot for the fragile Kim). Erika is, in his eyes, the blonde reincarnation of Erica Kane lol. LVP has her own direction and her own agenda, and if anybody is calling the shots, it is her. Hence why he and she seem to have a more distant relationship in recent years. The same goes with Nene, and with Kenya. I would add that on the OC, Andy also loves Vicki. In fact Vicki, Tamra and Shannon is where it's at on the show (an assessment I would agree with -- there is no way Kelly, Lydia, Meghan and Peggy could carry the show on its own). It is clear that Vicki's loneliness and need to be loved means she can be manipulated, and now needs the OC franchise more than ever in order to rebuild her image and her business.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think Dorit had a girl crush on Erika from the get-go. She really wanted Erika to notice her and acknowledge her. Last year at Reunion when Erika complimented her on her swimwear-design career, she positively lit up. I'm sad that she's turned against LVP, though, as I thought her marriage to PK would keep her tight with the Vanderpump/Todds. More shocking to me is the fact that Erika would have a fallout with KYLE -- the HW with a producing credit on this show! Erika has been slowly cultivating that friendship for over two years! She made it clear when she invited Kyle to Mykonos but ignored the President and Secretary of her Fan Club (Eileen, Rinna) how highly she valued that friendship over the worship of her minions. Rinna must be thrilled beyond belief by this state of affairs. Unlike the always-kind and incisive @DaytimeFan , I just cannot warm to or enjoy Rinna anymore. I find her a cowardly loudmouth with zero credibility. She's vicious, too, but she covers it up with a lot of knee-slapping and laughter. Basically she is a bully's sidekick -- piggybacking on whoever she thinks is the winning HW in order to get her digs in on somebody else.
