  1. Yeah, Doug can go. Haven't liked the character of Paul for awhile anyway, but now - Doug can go as far as I'm concerned. Just read another post.....loves everyone regardless of their belief. I'm sorry - but reeks of the Politics I hear everyday - and I grew up near D.C.....love the sinner/hate the sin....he loves everyone regardless of their beliefs. He's a trumper. Bye Doug/Paul. Strangely I saw a post by a fan from like a month ago that said they would love to see Paul and Nikki together again in a love scene and he posted...."EWWWWWW". I have no idea what that's about but.....immature. He can go.
  2. I don't know. I've continued reading, and now he sounds like what I thought - a gigantic ass.
  3. I am not that active on twitter...but went and read the thread and honestly I couldn't understand what was going on. At all. I don't want to say what I'm thinking but he sounded...............and I re-read twice.
  4. A friend of mine is still so sweet...she's honestly worried about animals, environment...the world as a whole. She posts articles and donation requests and causes/articles/whatever about the endangered Elephants, Gorillas, fish....whatever. God Bless her. I messaged her today and said....honey, I can't care about any of your endangered species or environment right now. We're all going to be dead - because of a man whose favorite color in the crayon box is burnt Orange mixed with Salmon. Who has more money than God but has bad hair and can't find money to fix his gnarly teeth. Seriously - all of the animal and environment-saving is important but there are bigger fish to fry right now...give up the Vegan thing/save the Earth thing, and help save us all first....you can't save the environment or the animals if you're not here.
  5. Just curious, reply - if you're a member of Pantsuit Nation on Facebook? I am...long before the election. I'm D.C. If you're a member/were invited, just say yes, no, not alot of details.
  6. I am near DC in NOVA but didn't march today but the turnout was apparently really really high. In New York I have friends that marched and she and her friends had the best signs...I don't know if it was a common/marketing/spread around thing but one in her group had a sign that was huge and said, "We're Gonna Hit Trump in his Putin!" I thought it was FABULOUS! LOLLLLL. She's a pageant girl from Virginia now living in NYC! :-)
  7. Weird, but me too. On The View I was watching one day when they were arguing about everything and Joy Behar said....I tell ya what, I'll take George and Lara back now....bring 'em on. I thought....yep. Me too. :-( I never felt like I was unsafe or a ticking time bomb was running the country.
  8. Thanks for going. I'm in Northern VA but am not attending...and I really should go because I'm a guy but I haven't felt great this week - best of luck! And don't be depressed or deterred, when He Who Shall Not Be Named Tweets on Sunday or Monday that you don't count, you don't matter, he expected more of you to show up, more people were at his Inauguration than showed up to protest, etc. etc. Just remember - about 100,000 to 200,000 people who showed up for his Inauguration likely don't go to DC very much from the Suburbs, and they parked Illegally...so they were illegal and they weren't really there, and don't count. We can play by his rules now. :-)
  9. Is anyone going to watch the new reality series that started today? "Orange is the New Twat?" I'm skipping the first 4 (and what will be the last 4) seasons.
  10. I saw 2 different news reports today, one with NBC and one with Wall Street Journal...where 45% of people polled now said they didn't want ACA to be replaced or overturned and thought it was good. 41% said it wasn't. But this is the highest approval and the first time more people approve than the "disapprovers". Which tells me.......AHHHHHH. HMMMMMMM. Alotta the people that were pulling for the orange menace have started to do their homework now and are realizing..."OH SHI*! WAIT A MINUTE! What will WE HAVE IF WE DON'T HAVE ACA!??" The AH- HA! moment. More than 50% polled said they had little or no confidence that the new administration would put anything forth that was better. Again..."AH-HA!" The lightbulbs are coming on but it's a little too late. Which goes to what you're saying - I have a coworker who has said it the whole election....why in the Hell is the Republican party trying to kill off its own members? So many of these elderly people on programs that the GOP hates and wants to get rid of...are the very programs they need. Why don't they see it? Because the Republican party just wanted to "win"...they don't care that their policies will kill their own constituents off.
  11. This is going to be his major problem. And it was the problem I mentioned to my conservative leaning friends that were begging for a "CEO" as President. First, I said...not all CEOs were necessarily good at their jobs. Alot aren't. 2nd, this isn't business - it's Politics. He thinks he can just tell people that they're "fired" and just get updates on the work everyone else is doing. Because that's what a CEO does. And when he doesn't get his way, it's not "bull in the china shop" time. All of this garbage about him "knowing how to deal with China". No honey....LOL. You might have successfully done business - but that's not dealing with their Government.
  12. The other thing that I really don't understand about the question - is that you're asking me to judge Obama....based on whether Trump does this ridiculous list they gave? No - nothing will change my opinion about Obama based on that list because, those are issues that Trump apparently wants. Obama ran on a ticket that wanted a healthcare plan - he did it. He mentioned wanted equality for all Americans and ensuring equality - I happen to be Gay, and he did that for me. He promised to get our economy in a better place - it is, so check that off. He promised to fight for the American worker - he supported the U.S. Auto Bail out (which Trump by the way said he would not have done...he said that during the campaign, so why he stands there now with the people in Detroit acting like....whatever, I don't know)....but Obama did alot to support the American worker if you THINK about it for a couple of seconds. Supporting women's issues/health - that was another thing I remember....he was vocal about issues like Planned Parenthood. So Obama did what he said he was going to do, so that's what I'll remember. Asking me to judge whether Obama was out of his depth based on some pathetic list of "conservative" issues that Trump said he'll address....no, it won't change my mind about Obama. I don't agree with most of the things on the Trump list, so if he accomplishes all of them....it won't change my mind about him either. His VP has a history of LGBT hate - and I'm tired of the excuse that....."well, people change, and he's changed." No he hasn't, he's just faking it to look more palatable.
  13. Uh, no. Because Obama was handed a steaming pile of shi* to start. Given the starting point he's been given, MOST of what was listed above should be easy. Nor did Obama have both houses of Congress. But I'll believe ALL of that above when it happens and then let them know. I want to know why he's so not in favor of the current trade arrangements that he keeps harping on - when he sourced his steel from China, and his Daughter's clothing line is all made in China. What was so awful trade-wise for ya, Donny Boy?
  14. What's funny - I don't know if Face the Nation is broadcast nation-wide (I'm in DC) - but on Face the Nation this morning, they asked Mike Pence about this, and he said, well - the White House grounds are 18 acres, ya know...so it could be that the Press would be relocated to some other part of the property....they had to consider what to do with them, because ya know...the press room is small - you worked there, so you know how small it is, and honestly, our incoming Administration is just so popular that so many more outlets want to cover us that we need a bigger space. I was like....My God. There are people out there that will hear this and DEVOUR it....with 100% total belief! LOLLLL. This is where we are folks. Uh, the press room is the size it is because they want only media there that is cleared to cover it...most of the bureaus have offices right there....I swear. This administration can just say whatever the Hell they want and there are people that believe it. They're so popular that they need more space for the MEDIA!??? You mean, the media that your President has spent time twittering about their unfairness....the media that he insulted at his first "press conference"???? What I WISH would happen, but it never will because of journalists always trying to get the scoop....what I WISH would happen is if they just didn't show up at ALL. Have him walk out and see NO ONE sitting there.
  15. I was a huge Capitol fan...I had no idea it had been canceled at the time until my Dad told me....that was like 2 weeks before it went off the air. I'll never forget how disappointed I was...and then to see its replacement (in my timezone) at least, B&B, they put right after Y&R. I don't know what they did with Capitol timewise/air time around the rest of the country, but in the East it always made me mad that they didn't at least try and move it to a different timeslot. And, all in all, its ratings were not that bad...other shows remained on the air and had lower ratings.
  16. I am heartened by the fact that I saw on the news this week - not just the regular students, but Georgetown Prep, Good Counsel, students marching. These are not the poor by the numbers, they are the ones who have parents who have money. They were approached by older people, who didn't like that they were marching - citizens who said - ACCEPT he is PRESIDENT. YOU CAN'T VOTE! You have NO VOICE! And that girl looked at that man and said, you're right. We couldn't vote. But in 4 years we will vote. And we will remember that you are saying this. We will remember. You do not know this generation and we are not the Millennials. We see how stupid you are." THAT GAVE ME HOPE! :-) I felt like - My God - they're our children. I'm GenX. I don't have kids but that sounds like me. Maybe we can get it right!
  17. I said it throughout the election. These states that are waiting for Coal and Steel to be resurrected need to face the fact that it's not coming back. Have they not seen the increase in solar panels since the late 1970's...the increase in hybrid and electric cars? The increase in wind turbines for energy? It sucks to have to re-invent yourselves but that's what you're going to have to do. Or, you can listen to someone lie to you and tell you it's going to come back...when it's not. They prefer someone to lie to them. The guy that outsourced all of that stuff because it's cheaper....because he's a business person, and he did it to make money...and you wanted a CEO as President and now you got one who will do nothing for you.
  18. It will be very interesting. Donald Trump never knew - nor did anyone tell him - from his brilliant children or illustrious team - that if he wins the Presidency...he'll now be an Employee. None of them saw it coming - they're all that stupid. He's now an Employee where there are rules to follow. Can't just go to a great dinner, or go out on a Golf Course and tell people what to do. You can't just go to bed early because you are tired. He'll be done before the Inauguration. It's already on his face. He was a CEO. CEO's don't actually do work.
  19. Likely yes - because I asked this question before he even won - because I knew at least some of them would want to stay there. And I said - so how much does it cost to do background checks on every single person that lives in that building, and neighboring buildings, and have an entire security detail? And figure out how to fly her and the baby boy in and out of NYC when they need to? To fly in and out as first lady, if it's not Airforce One, which it cannot be - because they fly in and out of Andrews, and Marine One lands on the White House Lawn. To fly her in and out of NYC would be Executive One or Executive One Foxtrot. That's not flying in or out of Laguardia or JFK on a regular basis. So the plus for her - if she stays there in NYC she definitely will almost see him - maybe a few times per year. And, that's the sad part of his mentality. He's a CEO, and the people who voted for him wanted a CEO as President of the United States. Guess what....you don't have choices now. You now have actual requirements for your job, and you actually didn't meet them or weren't prepared for them. You can't just go do what you think you want and expect to be coddled. This is actually a JOB, which you have never had.
  20. I'm near DC - so I asked friends of mine who are cleared, highly cleared, Top Secret, etc. Has any President ever requested clearances for family members? They said...well that's not possible. They would have to have jobs and a reason to have clearances. I said, yeah, well watch it happen. Has a President since the White House was built - not lived there? They said, no - that cannot happen. I said, yeah, if Trump wins watch him try. I put this out on other message boards and you wouldn't believe what the Trump supporters said. Things like, well why would Trump or Melania want to live in the White House? Honestly it's alot of steps down for them, so the Government and Secret Service should accommodate him where he wants to live. Why would you want to live there when you've lived his life? You're really going to judge him for that? (*UCK YES I will judge him for that. If you DIDN'T WANT TO LIVE IN DC, then DON'T BE PRESIDENT if it's a STEP DOWN FOR YOU) When he came here to meet with President Obama after the election - there were thousands of student protesters and the Police and Park Police moved them to Lafayette Park because they didn't want him to see the protesters. I think he should see them.
  21. I can't believe we have 4 years to look forward to tweets every time he doesn't like something. He has the maturity of a 12 year old brat when they don't get their way. After the things he and Pence have said and the fear they've created people have every right to call them out on it. He doesn't want a Democracy - he wants an Autocracy. I can't wait for another leader of the world reads him for filth and what his reaction will be then.
  22. We are screwed. Really important social programs are all in danger now. Along with having Supreme Court justices that would NEVER have ruled in favor of Marriage Equality...and now we'll be stuck with them until they die. I'm in Virginia - I was actually surprised she took Virginia. I thought it would be VA that would go Red...instead it was several other states...just awful.
  23. @‌Soapsuds. LIKE. He is a hard headed brat....showboater. All about making ESPN highlights rather than winning tournaments. He has skills, but needs a coach. I love Brad Gilbert....he was kinda reading him for filth today. LOVE that. LOL.
  24. Ive never cared for Tsonga. He only shows up once a year. Whether its at the French, Aussie, Wimbledon, US Open or the regular hard court season and then he fades aways the rest of year. Me either. And I tell ya who I hate...nick kyrgios. I can't STAND him...yacking and talking all the way through every match. Just SHUT UP. It's not funny, it's not CUTE, it doesn't help us LIKE you....it makes you NASTY. I just had to laugh that Sam of all people would beat overrated, thirsty for attention Nole……LOL….By no means am I even a Sam fan…can't stand his game or his robotic walk around the court…LOL….but so glad Joker is out…..LOL. The look on Novak's face after his loss was priceless. I am so glad he is gone…..LOL. Ive never found Sam sexy or good looking…that face of his…yikes…but that dance is rather sexy…..LOLOLOL His other half…the other dumbo that is Steve Johnson also beat Grigor. I wasn't happy about that….Grigor again after a good win disappoints….Steve lost a couple of weeks ago to Stefan K….and now all of sudden he is playing some tennis on grass….boggles my mind cause Stevie has been a disappointment so many times losing to players that were ranked well below him. I wonder if he can pull the big upset with Roger?? I am ready for a new winner that is not Murray or Roger and not Milos…..please not him…his game is still awful and he doesn't have that great of a game to win it all. I have to say the American males and females have been playing some good tennis. I am in shock actually…LOL Of course Jack Sock who has been pimped to the hills since he was in the juniors lost……doesn't surprise me. He is overweight and has one awful backhand. He needs to get into shape and work on that backhand. I hope Delpo can come back and win! I am also pooling for Deliciano…..as Andy's mom would say…..LOL and John Isner….again couldn't finish it off before darkness….I am sure Justin was just furious that he didnt complete the match today….LOL I laughed too….teehee…. Mardy couldn't handle the pressure. Once Roddick retired Fish was left to hold the mantel and he crashed and burned. He started getting panic attacks before matches….for starters. Christina's game just bugs me….LOL. Her serve and groundstrokes look so weird to me…LOL Glad you found it! Mardy - I have seen him play many times and I always felt badly for him. He had alot of problems and it carried over to Tennis...but when he played well, he was really great. He has started to talk a little bit about his problems and I think it could help alot of people in the world. I really like Mardy. I hope so! GO RFed and Andy. I don't care which one would win....but if RFed does it - retire.
  25. I watched and although I couldn't believe it, Sam has been a good player and I've never figured out why he hasn't broken through just a little bit. Alot like Mardy Fish IMO - he just never broke through. Christina McHale yesterday as well - these are the kind of players you don't want to see early in a draw. So happy for Sam today - but it's also because I would just want to see RFed get just one more - or Andy Murray would be a great story. But Roanic (sp?) the Canadian is going to be my choice I think. He's ready in my opinion...but I'm so glad we have a Tennis thread!!
