I see Kyrsten Sinema is still an opportunistic attention wh0re. Her defection from the Democratic Party is probably the only honest thing she has done.
But this isn't about free thinking, but "who will kiss my ass/line my pockets the most?!" for her...

So, Georgia did not takes leave of its senses. My apologies!
And THANK GOD Mr. "Vampires vs. Werewolves", and talker of "erections" has lost.
Now he can focus on paying his child support.

Walker is currently LEADING in the Georgia Senate runoff. Makes me wonder what the hell is the matter with people there, electing MTG, and actually giving this moron a real chance at winning?!

Sometimes, a picture really is worth a thousand words!

Per a Days site, Sarah Horton was born on the show on Christmas 1981. By 1990, she was around 16 or 17!
She was greatly de-aged upon Linsey Godfrey assuming the role.
Apparently, Carrie appeared on the show around 1981 as a 5-year-old (played by Andrea Barber, best known as Kimmy Gibbler on Full House). So, technically, Carrie has always been older than Sarah. But SORAS and de-SORAS messes with everything.

On 11/25/2022 at 9:10 AM, Ryan Mason said:
Pamela said she knew who Cassandra's father was, but *we* never found out who it was...or who Warren's was either, for that matter.
Well, the show was canceled before it happened, but I recall pretty clearly that a sort of inverse scenario was being set up where, like Sophia and Lionel had Channing, the groundwork being laid was that C.C. fathered Warren with Augusta.
And considering the acrimony with Warren and Mason already, the writers probably wanted to egg it on.
So, as much as I loved the show ('til around early '92, before it went to hell!), I was glad to see this left unresolved. It was revisionist, dumb "history", and I was glad it fell by the wayside.

Musk-Rat has allowed Orange Foolius back on Twitter.

Mark my words: He's going to 'run,' take a lot of money and endorsements but not actually do anything. It will tear them apart.
I look forward to Trump vs DeSantis, WWE Edition. How much do I LOVE that Dump is now an albatross around the cowardly necks of the GQP?!

Never in my life would I have thought I'd be cheering on Liz Cheney. But this is an epic burn:

Oh, no!
I guess I knew this was going to happen sooner than later, but it is still a gut punch. John made you love to HATE Victor. Or just love him for his acidic asides.
Prayers to his family and friends, especially his daughter, Jennifer. I can only imagine her heartbreak right now.
Thanks for the decades of entertainment, Mr. Aniston! Fly high.

I apologize to any and all I may have annoyed with my gloomy posts on Monday night.
I am beyond thrilled they were unwarranted!
SO glad we keep a blue Senate. Now to just get Warnock over the line so we won't need Manchin/Sinema as heavily...

I've already laid it out, but this close to the end I don't wanna speak it too plainly. As @DRW50says, Ralston is the best source for NV.
Gotcha. Thanks!

I don't wanna jinx it, but let's just say I have a strong opinion on that.
Okay...? (When the time is right, maybe you can elaborate then. )

This Nevada race is killing me. Why I care, I don't know. I live in NY. LOL!
But I am so confused. The way this is being framed, it sounds like CCM still has a shot, but based on how much is counted vs. left to go...*shrug*
Again, though, this midterm was basically a miracle for Dems. Even if we do lose majority, it will by NO MEANS be a mandate, and if the GOP has hopes of anything substantial being done, they will need to reach across the aisle.

Glad to see so many Dem wins in Nevada!
That said, I sadly think Laxalt will defeat Mastro. At least that's what it looks like now. 84% counted, and she is down 47.8% to Laxalt's 49.2%.
All that gloomy-sounding stuff aside, it has been A LOT better for Dems than I thought it would be, so I'm overall content.

The only niggling concern I have is the claim that vote dumps are coming in for Blake Masters and Kari Lake in AZ. But since we overperformed, best to just appreciate that and what happens, happens.

If hack Marc Thiessen is ready to bawl, you KNOW we had a great night!

VA-07 shows the Republican candidate winning, so I'm guessing that tweet was written earlier...

At least Massachusetts brings some good news: The AP has called the governor's race for Maura Healey, the first female governor of the state and the first openly-gay candidate to win there.
Good for MA!

Barring a miracle, today marks a dark period for this country if predictions are true. Sorry to sound so downbeat, but hey...
Whatever happens, may this country survive GQP rule again, should it come to be.
Still, I feel compelled to say...VOTE. I have. Unsure if it will help, but it's better than doing nothing!

You can register if you want to to be part of the Bluesky test group. It's not close to being ready for prime time
Yep, did that! But I think it's going to be a while, so it's good to have another alternative. I did see a Meidas account on Counter Social and saw some others claiming to have migrated but forget the usernames. (Did see Kelly Carlin, George Carlin's daughter, though.)

I still have my Twitter account. But I have made a backup account on Counter Social. Seems other Twitter refugees have followed. Takes a bit getting used to, but at its core, it is a lot like Twitter without the toxicity.
(Since there is no word when the BlueSky deal with Jack Dorsey will be ready.)

I can only pray democracy wins in the US on 11/8.

I'm not getting my hopes up. I know, very Eeyore-ish. But who is to say people from either party, regardless of turnout, are voting FOR their party?
Okay, in this polarized age, that may be a dumb question. But the GOP stokes fears with inflation and the border and other bogeymen, and unfortunately, the press helps. And sadly, some voters fall for those tired tricks.
All that said, I would LOVE for a Dem surprise. But I'm wary.

Because Kyrten Sinema's attention follies got the desired results, looks like her pal, Joe Manchin, decided to claim his share. He told a reporter "there is no certainty" that he will remain a Democrat. (Wait, he is? /s)
