I never rewatch soaps but I have gone out of my way to watch the show while I’m working live and then rewatch in the evening with the boo without work to distract me. He’s only watched bits and pieces of Soaps from when I’ve had them on but he was actually interested in starting this show from the beginning with me so I’ve loved that. And like you I pick up on things I missed the first time around.

Um of course she’s wounded differently than Chelsea. Her dad literally cheated on her mom with her best friend. Haley was not Chelsea’s best friend.

Well that hour certainly flew by. Playboy Andre had instant chemistry with Dani. Maybe this will loosen Dani up a bit. I am curious who he sets his sites on next. Haley saying I only planned to get married once to the man that just left his wife for her is comically stupid😂

I’ve wanted a villain like her for awhile now. I’m totally bought in.

“You are the oldest most disgusting cliche in the book.” Naomi was reading Bill and Haley left and right. I loved it!

I now want to see more of Vanessa with Nicole as well. They had a nice rapport and easy chemistry.

Haley is literally sitting here asking Dani to forgive her 🤦🏽‍♂️ Karla does that nice nasty face and voice to perfection. Bill and Haley are the most delusional people I’ve seen in a long time.

I think the lying about Jason to the cops though is one huge step forward more in that direction. He’s playing with fire now and literally only has Willow as an ally and I guess Martin who’s on the payroll.

I will say it does look quite nice on my 70 inch when I watch the replay on Paramount + in comparison to when I watch it on cable during the live showing on my tv in my office when I’m working. I would still bring down the lighting just a tad bit though since they use so many light colors for the homes. It really feels like at times we’ve been watching this family for years and that the actors have all been playing this family together for years. There’s an undeniable chemistry between the Duprees that truly make it feel like a real family.

It’s been so fun seeing all our HW’s group make their way to the BTG thread!

Can you explain what you mean by Real Housewives vibe? I watch all cities of housewives and nothing about these characters feels like them. Not being argumentative just curious.

They investigated one lead and when that didn’t pan out, no one cared. Even the government just said oh well. Laziest writing ever.

That was my least favorite performance of hers so far.

I’m still gobsmacked about the handing of Jagger’s death but I shouldn’t really be surprised. Why would Sonny ever face consequences for shooting someone point blank.

Intrigue was there as soon as the elevator moment happened. And then the complete change in demeanor of her daughter once they were home. I have very high hopes. I’m enjoying the casting already.

Lol yeah the Imani stuff went absolutely nowhere and Nate got bored with Elena after a week. But I did like all the tension and underlying subtext like you said.

She did it so well. Loved every second of it. I said from watching the specials I was most intrigued by her and her daughter. It’s only Wednesday and I live. I feel like after three episodes, I get the Dupree family. I’m loving the family gathering scenes as well. I think what I love about Vernon is that he seems like a good and mostly clean Patriarch that truly loves his family and not in that dirty Victor Newman way which is so old and tiring. Vernon feels like a throwback to old school patriarchs.

Holy cow when you read it written all out, it’s so so good! And the best part is, when it’s actually featured, all of the actors truly deliver. It really is the only reason I’m watching right now and it’s not lost on me that the main story I’m enjoying is the black story. Every now and then the Hastings/Winters get a bone thrown their way and I’m always invested. This might be their best story since Neil died and they took over as the remaining Winters clan. And it’s mainly been fixed on Nate while now naturally bringing in Lily and Devon, moreso Lily. Loving it. Wish I could move them to BTG 😂 Sharon being kidnapped again does not interest me.

Drew is really playing with fire here lying on Jason in his face to the cops. And Willow looks like an idiot because of course, poor Drew would never lie. How dumb do you have to be to not realize Jason would NEVER use Drew as an alibi unless he was actually with Drew. Willow likes to say she’s not being manipulated but my god she’s an idiot. She actually deserves to have all of this blow up in her face.

Wanted to mention I thought the nurse training the white nurse was really good. The actress has me wanting to see more of her on the show.

You just know her main focus was supposed to be Karen. She foolishly didn’t prepare anything at all for her lies and behavior the whole season and her tears feel hollow and performative. Some of my friends said she could come back for redemption but I pointed out to them that it would require Mia to stop lying which I don’t think she’s capable of.

Thoroughly enjoyed episode two. Nicole and her husband had INSTANT chemistry. The most chemistry on the show thus far. Loved that we got introduced to even more sets today. And I will echo everyone that the hospital set looked much better today. Ooo the look the scheming mom gave to Nicole’s husband before that elevator closed gave me life, and I need to know more ASAP! I don’t see any chemistry between Martin and his husband. I’ve also never been impressed with Mike Manning as an actor on anything I’ve seen him on so there’s that. Dani’s ex truly is a piece of work and I’m going to thoroughly enjoy getting to know him more. That was definitely a vieled threat to the Dupree patriarch if he doesn’t get that wedding filled out with guests.
