  1. -At the Pub, Carrie asks what Nicole is talking about. Nicole tells Carrie she just wants to say goodbye and to wish her well. Carrie doubts Nicole gives a damn. Nicole says that Carrie is once again showing why her and her family are no better then her. They condemn her for her actions yet claim to be this wonderful, giving, and kind family yet they have never given her a chance. They have all been against her since day one. Abe arrives and asks what is going on. The women ignore him. Roman and Marlena try to cool things down as Carrie tells Nicole that they all gave her a chance and she failed each and every time. Nicole says she sees it differently. Carrie tells Nicole she has no time for her and her games right now. Nicole asks Carrie why she is really leaving Salem. She wonders if it's really for moving on and healing purposes or if the real reason is she knows her son doesn't think of her as his mommy. Nicole notes she raised him for the first 4 months of his life. She is his mommy. Carrie denies all that and tells Nicole that Evan is not her son and mentions how he is too young to have forged that much of a bond with Nicole. She didn't have him long enough and a child know who his or her real mother is. The connection is there. Nicole thinks Carrie is in denial and that she knows Evan longs for her. Carrie tells her to shut up. Nicole reminds Carrie that the truth hurts. Carrie then hauls off and slugs Nicole, sending her to the ground. Carrie then says that she will get more then that someday when she returns to Salem and then tells her to go home before going back into the Pub. Abe helps her up and orders her to go home or he will have to call in some men to help make sure she stays away from the Pub and those in it. Nicole pushes Abe's arm away from her and tells him she will leave but she isn't done. She will have her revenge on all those who kicked her while she was down. All her enemies will pay. Abe tells her to just leave. He then goes into the Pub while Nicole walks up to the window and watches the goings on at the Pub and then shows a devilish grin. -At the Dimera Mansion, Cassie and Stefano have just entered the living room after finishing lunch together. They are laughing and enjoying each other's company as Stefano tells Cassie how he can't wait to take her to her first opera performance. Cassie smiles and says she can't wait. She loves spending time with him. Stefano lovingly caresses her face, telling Cassie she may not share his blood but she is proving herself to be more and more of a Dimera everyday. He considers her his granddaughter, regardless of genetics. Cassie is pleased he thinks that way but vows to continue to prove herself to him. She promises to help him take down all his enemies so she can truly prove herself worthy of leading the Dimera empire someday. Stefano smiles and says we'll see. Cassie is confused and asks what he means by that. Just before he can answer, Tony walks in and says: Tony: It means that no matter what you do, he is still going to hand his empire over to his precious Alexandra. Stefano: How the hell did you just walk in? Tony: My beautiful daughter gave me a key (smiles). Stefano: Why is it I was not told about this, Cassie? Cassie: I''m sorry. He's my father and I thought it would be no big deal since you two were like father and son for years. Tony: What a joke. This man was never anything to me but an oppressor. A man who forced me into his world and nearly sucked all the life out of me. Breaking away from him and becoming my own man was the best decision I ever made. You would be wise to do the same, Cassie. He will do the same for you. I was just like you, my dear. I wanted to impress Stefano and prove my worth to him. I wanted him to be able to trust me with his legacy but all that changed when I realized the man he truly was. Learning I wasn't his son was a difficult time for me but it also freed me from a life of endless suffering. Stefano: Poor you! Be a man!! I provided nothing but the best for you! You turned your back on me and the family! Tony: Right. Seems your memory is a little fuzzy, old man. I guess your best days truly are behind you. Stefano: If all you are going to do is insult me, get out!! Get out before I have you removed and I can't promise it will be peacefully. Tony: Seems I have struck a nerve. (turns toward Cassie) Cassie, I am your father. Just listen to me. Please. You are going down a path that will do nothing but destroy you. Your life will be an endless cycle of causing people pain and, ultimately, you will find yourself alone in the end. You will lose your soul and your zest for life. Just look at good old Stefano here. All he lives for is revenge. It drives him but it also leaves him with nothing. He schemes and plots and, in the end, he has nothing. His victories are hollow. He has no love in his life. Cassie: Wrong. He has me. I love him. Lexie loves him. Tony: Perhaps but how long until he hurts you both? The man molds his children. He makes them his soldiers in his neverending struggle for revenge against his enemies. The very children he claims to love are forced to do his will and they are brought down with him. He nearly took me down and, God knows, he took poor Renee down too. Stefano becomes enraged and slaps Tony. Tony: Struck another nerve. The truth hurts, doesn't it? We both know you brought Andre into the proverbial mix, Stefano. Your actions led to Andre killing your own daughter. Think about that, Cassie, Stefano thought up a plan that ended up killing his own daughter. Do you want that life? Huh? Hmm... you see, Cassie, Stefano molded Andre into the perfect soldier. In fact, he was Stefano's best. Andre pledged never ending loyalty to Stefano until the very end. That is why Stefano always considered him his son. Cassie: Then he will do the same with me. Andre was only Stefano's nephew and he proved himself worthy of leading the Dimera empire. I can do that too. Tony: Ah but Andre would've never been chosen by Stefano to lead. Andre did all the dirty work. He was nothing more then a glorified henchmen. That is what you will be too, if not worse. Your nothing to him, Cassie. He will just force you to do all the work he wants his hands cleaned of and, if you get caught, he will leave you there to rot. He will call you a failure. Cassie: I don't believe that. Tony: Have you forgotten that he had you and your brother locked away and genetically engineered for most of your life? Cassie: No but...it made us special. Rex and I were given gifts by Stefano. We're unique because of him. Tony: You both were isolated from human contact for years. You didn't even speak when you turned up in Salem. How can you just act so nonchalantly about this? Cassie: Father... Stefano: Enough!! Tony....OUT!! Tony (looks at his watch): Very well. I have to leave anyway for an occasion. Cassie, you coming with me? There is a party at the Brady Pub for Carrie. She is leaving Salem. Cassie: No. I'm not coming. The Brady's are not my family and it would compromise my position in grandfather's plans. The Brady's are his enemies and, therefore, they are mine. Tony: You once thought you were one. Marlena is your mother and she is like a mother to Carrie. The Brady's are practically your family. How can you forget all that they did for you? Cassie: I just can. You go. I'll call you and we can meet for coffee or something. Tony: Fine. (embraces and kisses Cassie) Please, promise you will remember what I said and at least take my words into consideration. Cassie: Whatever. Goodbye, father. Tony: Goodbye. Good day, Stefano. Stefano: Yes...good day. Tony leaves as Cassie tells Stefano not to worry. She doesn't believe what her father said. She loves him and considers him her grandfather and she is determined to prove herself to him. Stefano smiles. Cassie says she knows Tony was wrong in thinking he would just hand everything over to Lexie as she knows Stefano will want her to prove herself to him as well. She then embraces Stefano, saying she is excited over what the future may bring. While in the embrace, Stefano shows a look of concern and then says he is excited about the future too but is also being a bit more cautiously excited. Cassie understands and says she is prepared for whatever challenges he throws her way to test her. Stefano smiles and says good. -On the island, the storm has arrived and heavy rain and wind is pounding the island. Vivid lightning can be seen and continuous thunder can be heard as Jack is searching the island for Billie and calling out to her. He knows he heard her calling out for him while she was chasing after him earlier. He regrets running from her and admits he wouldn't have ran if he knew the storm were coming. He continues to call out and search for Billie. Later, the storm has worsened and he is just about ready to give up. He begins to worry about where Billie might be. Just then, he turns and happens to look down. He sees Billie's lifeless body on the ground. Jack races over to her. He discovers her breathing is shallow and her pulse is slow. He begs Billie to wake up. He wonders what happened to her and surveys her body, not finding anything wrong but her being wet and cold. He decides to get her to shelter before she gets hypothermia and ends up being worse. He picks her up in his arms and races through the storm. -Back at the Pub, Carrie is sitting around a table reminiscing with Caroline, Roman, Marlena, Kayla, Bo, and Belle while Frankie, Max, Greta, Stephanie, Lucas, Will, Kate, and Abe all watch from the bar. Cal and Katherine then enter and are greeted warmly by everyone. Carrie hopes they don't mind sharing a goodbye party with her. Katherine looks at Cal, almost to remind him to be on his best behavior. Cal says that it's no problem. They'll all family. Katherine smiles and says that's right. Carrie then looks at her watch and realizes it's already time for her to go. Caroline can't believe she has to go already. Carrie, who is now holding Evan, says she has to make a stop on the way to the airport first. Carrie then says goodbyes to Max, Greta, Kayla, and Stephanie while Roman and Marlena talk. Marlena tells Roman she is glad he showed up. Roman says his daughter is leaving and he just couldn't miss saying goodbye. Marlena is happy to hear that and asks Roman if he would've truly showed up if Carrie hadn't bumped into him. Roman says he would've but Marlena has her doubts but decides to drop the issue, telling Roman she is just happy he came. Carrie says goodbye to Frankie and gives him a hug, saying he should be lucky she still doesn't have that crush on him like she used to or she would squeeze the life out of him. Frankie smiles and says it seems crushes on adopted uncles runs in the family. They both then look at Max and Stephanie, who begin to blush. Carrie then says goodbye to Abe, saying she will miss having her "uncle" Abe around to protect and serve. He makes her promise to call and to also return soon. She smiles and says she will. Carrie approaches Cal and Katherine. She tells Katherine to take care of him as this man is special to her. He may not be her father but he was a very loving and kind man and he will always be family to her. Katherine promises she will take care of him. Carrie and her embrace before Carrie grabs Cal into an embrace. She wishes him luck and tells him not to be a stranger. They will always be family and she would love to see him more often then they have seen each other recently. Cal smiles and says he would like that. Cal and Katherine both wish her luck as well. Carrie thanks them. Carrie then moves on to her uncle Bo, telling him she is so happy he has his life back on track. Bo says he is too and he is sorry Hope had to go bring something to JT. Kayla tells Carrie she apologizes for Steve being MIA as well. Carrie says it's fine as she will be in touch and isn't going away for good. She knows they had things they had to do. Carrie hugs Bo and tells him to take care of himself. He tells her to do the same. Carrie then turns to Caroline and thanks her for all the love and support she has given her. She has always been there for her but, moreso, in the past year. She doesn't know where she would've been without her. Caroline begins to cry, along with Carrie, and tells Carrie that is what grandparents do. They both embrace as Carrie promises to keep in touch and be back soon. Caroline gives Evan a big kiss as Carrie moves on to Belle. Carrie tells Bo she has enjoyed them spending time together as sisters and will miss that. Belle tells her to hurry back so they can hang out some more. Carrie smiles, saying she would like that. She thanks Belle for all her love and support this year and embraces her. Belle and Carrie both wipe away tears as Carrie tells her to take care of Marlena and dad. She is all they have right now. Belle nods and then takes hold of Evan, giving him a big hug. Carrie then turns to Roman and Marlena. Marlena and Carrie both break down in tears and embrace. Marlena (crying): Take care of yourself. Please! Do call when you get to wherever you are headed. Carrie (wiping away tears): I will. I promise. Take care of dad like you always do. Marlena: You know I will. Please so keep in touch and take all the time you need to heal. We will miss you and look forward to the day you return. Hopefully, then, you can move on and start anew. Carrie: Yeah. You were always like a mother to me and I hate we missed so much time together the past few years. Marlena: We will make up for it when you return. You have always been like a daughter to me too. I love you, Carrie. Carrie: I love you too. They both embrace and wipe away tears. Roman then opens his arms to Carrie and takes her in his arms. Roman: You be careful, pumpkin. Come back soon and do call and write. Carrie: I will. Watch yourself, dad. Oh, and please don't keep worrying Marlena and the rest of the family. Don't be stupid. We all need you and couldn't handle another loss, especially you. Roman: Good luck, my Carrie. You call if you need anything. Carrie: Good change of the subject. Roman: I thought so. Carrie: Fine then. Alright, dad. Hold down the fort. Carrie then embraces Roman again and they both express their love for each other. Carrie then breaks away from his embrace and turns towards Lucas, Will, and Kate. Kate tells Carrie she knows she shouldn't have come but she just wanted to wish her well and to apologize again. Carrie looks at Kate and says she is forgiven. They both were in the same boat and were blackmailed by Orpheus. The lives of their loved ones were threatened. They both had no choice. Kate thanks her and they both then embrace. Kate wishes her well and tells her to come back soon with that adorable grandson of hers. Carrie says she will as Kate gives Evan a hug and kiss and says goodbye to him. Carrie then looks at Lucas and Will, telling them both she will keep praying for them. She adds that they can call her anytime if they need anything. She will contact them with a number soon. Lucas tells her to do the same. Carrie tells Lucas she knows Austin, Eric, and Sami are watching over all of them and tells him to just hang in there. It will get better. He tells her the same and says he is happy they can be friends despite everything that happened between them. Carrie agrees. They both hug as Carrie pulls away and tells Will to look after his father. Will says he will try. Carrie then pulls him into an embrace and mentions how he will probably grow a few more inches taller before the next time she sees him. Will laughs and wishes Carrie well. Carrie, Lucas, and Will all embrace as Carrie says that Austin, Eric, and Sami would be smiling seeing them hug right now. Lucas smiles, saying they would be very happy. Just then, Tony races in, asking if he is too late. Carrie turns, smiles, and says he isn't. She is just about to leave. She embraces him, saying she will miss him. She regrets they didn't have more time to catch up but admits she did appreciate the talk they had the other day. It really helped her to make her decision to leave. Just then, Anna appears in the Pub doorway and asks what Carrie means by that. Carrie asks Anna why she came. Anna says her daughter is leaving town. She had to come. Anna begs Carrie to change her mind and stay. Carrie says she can't and that she needs to leave now. She tells Anna to have a nice life. Carrie then embraces Tony and tells him thanks. She promises to be in touch. Carrie then waves to everyone and waves Evan's little hand at everyone too. They all yell out goodbye to her as she yells out goodbye back and then leaves. An emotional Anna tries to go after her but Tony grabs her, telling her it's not the time. Meanwhile, outside the Pub, Carrie holds Evan and looks into the Pub through the window. Carrie: Say bye bye Salem, Evan. At least, for now. This is the right thing to do. I know it. (looks at watch) Good. We have enough time to make that stop. We're better off doing this in person. Let's go, baby. Carrie walks off with Evan as Anna finally breaks free of Tony and runs out the door. Roman and Marlena race outside but Tony tells him he can handle it. They both go back inside as Tony approaches Anna. He tries to comfort her as she frantically looks for Carrie. Anna tells him to back off. Tony begs Anna to let him help but she ignores him, saying she has to stop Carrie. She then runs off to find her as Tony follows. Inside the Pub, Caroline asks Roman and Marlena if Anna is going to be alright. Marlena says she thinks she will be after Tony calms her down somehow. Everyone at the Pub then expresses their hope that Carrie will find the peace she is looking for elsewhere. -On the island, the storm is raging on as Jack carries Billie into a cave. He puts her down and is worried about how cold she is. He realizes he will have to make a fire but, just as he about to leave, he notices her breathing has gotten worse. He begs Billie to wake up and not to leave him like this. He continues to wonder what is wrong with her. He then notices Billie's lips moving and her eyes fluttering. Jack implores her to wake up. Billie opens her eyes a bit and begins to whisper something. Jack asks her what she is saying and then asks what happened to her. Billie manages to get the word "spider" out loud enough for Jack to hear and then points to her leg. Jack puts the pieces together and pulls up Billie's torn up jeans to see the swollen bite mark on Billie's leg, worrying Jack even further. Jack looks at Billie, who is laboring to breathe, and tells her it's going to be ok. Jack vows to save her and says he will not let her die on him. -Back in Salem, Carrie arrives at the Hudson Street gym. She walks through the gym with Evan and meets a man named Darryl in the boxing ring. Darryl embraces Carrie, telling him that his father was very upset about Austin's death and they are both sorry for her loss. Carrie thanks him. Darryl tells Carrie that Evan looks just like his daddy. Carrie nods. She tells Darryl they need to keep this short as she has a flight to catch but reminds him of how much Austin loved the gym and Darryl and his father. He knew that it was having financial problems and was in danger of closing for years so he left a little something in the will he drew up a few years ago. Carrie hands Darryl the check for $2000. Darryl says he can't accept it but Carrie says it was a gift from Austin. He has no choice. Darryl thanks her and says he knows Austin is hanging with the angels above. Carrie smiles. Darryl says they can use the money to upgrade the place and, hopefully, attract new members. Carrie wishes him and his father well, saying Austin loved them both and the gym. It gave him a place to live out his passion for boxing. Darryl tells Carrie they will build a tribute to Austin somewhere in the gym in his honor. Carrie thinks that would be nice. She bids Darryl goodbye. Darryl wishes her luck and says goodbye to her and Evan. Outside the gym, Carrie puts Evan in his seat and gets in her car. She then looks up to the heavens, telling Austin they both shared many special times in Salem and, as much as she knows she has to leave right now, it seems even harder to say goodbye this time around. We then see a Carrie/Austin montage....PLAY THIS CARRIE AND AUSTIN MONTAGE!!!. The scene returns to Carrie as the montage ends. She is in tears and then puts the car in gear, telling Evan it's time to embark on a new adventure...and a new life. Carrie's car then pulls away from the corner and drives down the block and out of sight as the scene fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... 2. Thanks Ryan. We appreciate that. We both just try to produce the quality drama that we all expect from soaps, especially Days. As for episode length, you will notice big changes next week in that regard. We are working on tightening up things a bit and we think that will please many people.
  3. Cal and Katherine are packing up at their suite. Katherine asks Cal if he is sure he wants to do this. Cal nods, saying there isn't much left in Salem other then the Toscano mansion. He says he will return to it someday but, for now, he is ok taking over the empire elsewhere. Katherine hopes he doesn't have any ill will for the Brady's and reminds him they are giving them a goodbye party. Cal thinks it's only because Carrie is getting one and they happened to just throw them into the mix when they heard they were leaving. Katherine thinks Cal is wrong but he insists he doesn't want to argue. Cal then takes Katherine in his arms and tells her he looks at this as their new start. It's an adventure and a great opportunity that he hopes will only bring them closer. Katherine smiles as they kiss, saying she hopes it's all that and more. -Upstairs at the Brady Pub, Carrie is packing her bags and thanks Caroline for leaving the police station early with her to help. Caroline says it's no problem as Chelsea was taken already anyway. Caroline tells Carrie she is going to miss her. Carrie insists she will be back soon and that she needs to do this...for herself and Evan. She thanks Caroline for letting her stay with her. Caroline says she is her granddaughter and she would do anything for her. Carrie looks at her bags and thinks she is all set. Caroline says they can go downstairs now where everything is set for her farewell. Carrie then tells Caroline to go ahead as she has something important she needs to do. -At the police station, Bo is still with Hope. He asks her again what is going on. Kayla, who is behind Bo, asks Steve what is wrong as he looks upset. Steve says he is fine, although he does have to go run an errand. Kayla asks what kind of errand. Steve tells her that he will explain later. He kisses her and says he needs to hurry. She asks him if everything is ok. He smiles, kisses her again, and says he is fine. He just needs to handle something important. He asks if she can get a ride with her brother. Kayla smiles and says it looks like she will have to. Hope is watching the scene between Steve and Kayla and realizes Steve is lying to Kayla so he can get to the airport. Bo asks Hope again what she was doing. Hope says she just was watching Chelsea get taken away and was thinking of how difficult this is for all of them. Bo agrees and thanks Hope for caring so much. He understands it took awhile for her to accept Chelsea but he is happy she has and that they have grown close. Hope agrees and they embrace. Hope then witnesses Steve and Kayla kiss and then Steve leaving. Hope pulls away from Bo and tells him she just remembered she forgot to give JT lunch money for day camp. Bo says they can drop it off together but Hope reminds Bo he doesn't know where it is and he needs to help his mother set up the Pub for the farewell parties. Kayla then comes over and asks for a ride since Steve left to handle something. Bo says he will take Kayla with him in a squad car and then Hope can go off to give JT his money. Hope thanks Bo, who gives her the car keys, and tells both him and Kayla she will see them later. Hope takes off as Bo asks Kayla if something felt weird to her. Kayla nods, saying Steve seemed distracted. Bo says Hope seemed the same. They both wonder what is going on. -On the island, a storm is moving in as Billie is chasing after Jack following their argument. Billie notices the storm coming in and yells out to Jack, telling him to stop this nonsense before the weather goes downhill. She is unaware of the big spider that is crawling up her leg. She calls out to Jack again but then jolts as the spider bites her just as she moves her leg. Billie sees the spider still on her and hits it off with a stick. The leg begins to hurt her but Billie says she will live, hoping it wasn't poisonous. She then continues on her way to find Jack. Meanwhile, Alexander is with his mother on the helicopter. He asks her why they are in a helicopter over the ocean and what their mission is. She tells him he will learn in due time. Alexander is sick of her being cryptic but his mother claims it's for his own good and that it will all be better when they reach their destination, which will be true. The pilot then tells them a severe storm is moving in and they are heading right into it. He won't be able to avoid it now as it moved much faster then anticipated. Alexander and his mother both look at each other with worry. -At the police station, Kate and Miranda continue to argue. Miranda: If the good people of Salem only knew of what you did to all of us. You being a hooker for people like Stefano Dimera is only the tip of the iceberg compared to what you did to me, to your own mother, to your own sister....your actions were appalling Kate and it seems some things never change. You deserve everything you get and more. Kate: You know what? I don't have time for this. Just leave me alone and go back to where you came from. Miranda: Nope. I have business here to handle and it looks like I will be here for the long haul. Kate: Great (rolls eyes). What business do you have here? Miranda: Can't say. I do have to go. Nice seeing you again, Katie. Wish I could say that and mean it. (laughs) Have fun being in misery!! Miranda leaves as a worried Kate wonders what Miranda is doing in Salem and what she may do to her at some point. -Back at the Pub, Marlena is sitting in a booth, sharing her worry concerning Roman with her. Marlena says Roman should be there as his daughter is leaving town. Caroline tells him he will make it. He would never miss saying goodbye to his daughter. Bo and Kayla then come by and greet everyone, followed by Lucas and Will. Once again, sympathies are expressed to Lucas and Will. Marlena tells Lucas she heard about his taking over Roberts INC today. She asks how his first day was. Lucas tells her it was good and provided a nice distraction. He could use some more work to keep busy. Will tells his father to take it easy. Marlena agrees, reminding Lucas it will all better in time for him. Kate then walks into the Pub, asking if it's ok she came. She would like to talk to Carrie before she leaves. Everyone looks at each other. Caroline nods, saying she can come in. Bo comments how they would rather have her then Nicole. Kate snidely says thanks to Bo. Caroline wonders where Carrie is as she has been gone for a long time. Kayla assures her that Carrie is fine and that she will be along soon. Caroline nods, saying she knows. She just tends to worry. Kayla smiles, saying she knows that firsthand being her daughter. Meanwhile, at St. Luke's cemetery, Carrie is visiting Eric and Sami's grave. She is telling them both that she just had to stop and say goodbye before going. She admits missing them and how different the world is without them in it. She hopes they are both having fun with Austin up there and tells them to tell Austin that she will be fine and that she is moving on...for Evan's sake. She asks them to pray for her as she struggles to go on and tries to succeed in life outside of Salem. She admits needing all the help she can get. Carrie also apologizes for the mistakes she made as they opened the door to everything happening. A voice from nearby calls out to her, telling her she isn't to blame. It's Roman!!! He tells Carrie it all falls on Orpheus and, in some cases, Stefano. Both men have tortured them for years. Carrie nods and then asks why he is at the cemetery. Roman says he visits Eric and Sami's grave everyday. It helps motivate him to accomplish ridding Salem of Stefano and Orpheus. Roman then asks Carrie if she thinks leaving is the right choice. Carrie thinks it is, saying it is all happening fast but it feels like she made the best choice, even thought she hasn't left yet. Roman goes to the grave and bends down to pay his respect to his children. He promises that their deaths will be avenged and that they won't be forgotten. Carrie seconds that notion. Carrie then looks at her watch and says she needs to be getting back for her party. She tells Roman to come with her as everyone is worried. Roman isn't sure he wants to be around people but Carrie reminds him she is leaving with Evan and doesn't know when she will be back so he should spend some time with them now. Roman understands and agrees, saying he will but she must help him keep people off his back, especially Marlena. Carrie says she will see what she can do. Both of them then look at the graves once more and pay their respects before leaving and heading for the Pub. -Back on the island, as the rain begins to come down, Billie is in visible pain, alternating between holding her stomach and leg. She calls out to Jack repeatedly but her screams are getting lower and lower until, finally, she passes out as the storm hits. -Back in Salem, Steve arrives at his gate just in time, noting how he shouldn't have taken the long way to the airport. he boards the plane and sits down, wondering how he will explain going to New Orleans to Kayla. Steve is unaware that Hope is sitting a few rolls back, covering her face with a newspaper and also wondering how to explain to Bo why she went to New Orleans. -Back at the pub, Frankie and Max are now there with Greta and Stephanie. Caroline is really worried about Carrie and is about to send Bo out to look for her when Carrie shows up...with Roman. Marlena embraces Roman, overjoyed to see him. Carrie is greeted by everyone at the Pub, along with Roman, and Carrie mentions how she just had to handle a few things before coming. Caroline is happy they have both come so now the party can start as Cal and Katherine are on their way and, hopefully, Steve and Hope are too. She is confident they can now have an amazing farewell party for her, Cal, and Katherine. Carrie smiles and then is shocked by someone she sees outside the Pub. Carrie sneaks out to take a look, hoping not to be seen by the person. She exits the Pub and yells out to the blonde woman running away from the Pub to come back. The blonde woman stops and turns, saying Carrie's wish is her command. It's Nicole!! Carrie says she knew she saw her from inside and asks what she is doing at the Pub. Nicole says she knew Carrie was leaving and just had to see her one last time to deliver a special message. Nicole shows a sinister smile as a curious Carrie looks on while the scene freezes on a split screen of Carrie and Nicole's faces and fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... GOODBYE CARRIE!! DON'T MISS HER EMOTIONAL GOODBYE WITH A NICE PAYOFF FOR FANS OF NICOLE/CARRIE!! PLUS, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO BILLIE!!! ALSO, BE SURE TO READ THE EXCLUSIVE SUMMER FINALE WEEK PROMO TO BE RELEASED TOMORROW!!! LOOK FOR IT TO BE POSTED SEPARATE OR WITH TUESDAY'S EPISODE!!
  4. WEEK OF AUGUST 26 EDITION SALEM LIVES: HEAD WRITER'S STATUS REPORT PART 2!! IT'S BEEN ONE HELL OF A YEAR THUS FAR ON SALEM LIVES AND, LIKE LAST YEAR, WE ARE SITTING DOWN WITH THE TEAM THAT DELIVERS IT ALL TO YOU ON A DAILY BASIS...HEAD WRITERS TIM LOWERY (PHOENIX) AND PATRICK L. EWING (ROMAN). IN THE SECOND OF A TWO PART FEATURE, WE SIT DOWN WITH TIM LOWERY TO GET HIS TAKE ON ALL THE HAPPENINGS ON SALEM LIVES AND WHAT IS TO COME! Interviewer (I): We last talked to you personally a few weeks ago but we didn't ask much in general about the past year. How do you think Salem Lives has changed in the year since you came aboard and you both began writing together? Tim Lowery (TL): Well, I began this journey by myself and laid the groundwork and then found myself a wonderful, hard working partner with such a creative vision that truly helped us create a world that fans of these characters could be proud of. I think Salem Lives has gotten better with every episode. I think it took us awhile to work out the kinks and to get to a place where we feel comfortable. I think we both feel that the canvas is ours and I think our loyal readers know what to expect when they come here daily. They know they are going to get character-driven story featuring characters they know and love. They know there will be shocks and that we take risks. We always do what is best for Salem Lives and for the story and characters. That is who we are and what we will always be about. So, I think the biggest change is people know who we are and what we are about. The other changes have been mainly to the cast and I feel we are getting to a better place now where the canvas is more manageable. I: How do you think Salem Lives has improved in the last year? TL: Well, I think my answer above helps to answer this but I also think we are more comfortable now. I think we both have learned alot and my partner and I have a system that works so well for us. I truly think it's taken a year to fully embed ourselves in this and to understand what we have to do to be successful on all levels of doing this. We've both learned from each other and from the fans. I think my partner and I can both agree that this has been a very rewarding experience this far and that it's a blast to put out our vision on a daily basis. I just think we have this knowledge now that has allowed us to better Salem Lives and to base it on ideals important to us...that of romance, adventure, mystery. etc. That has been our biggest improvement, other then amping up our stories and proving what we can do and are all about. I: What have been your favorite stories since last August? Any favorite episodes or moments? TL: The Marlena MPD story is a favorite of mine. The mob war and showdown in Sydney is another. Orpehus's big return with Vendetta is another. Vendetta was very difficult with the game and all the extra features. We simply wanted to be more interactive and to do something that no one else was doing. We're proud of what it accomplished but it was alot of work and it hindered our story a bit with so many being involved in it. Some characters, like James McCluer, suffered from not enough character work and I apologize to my partner for that. He created James and I allowed so much of the story to be pushed aside. I will always regret that. I think alot of the current stories we have going are my favorite. The Forrest story and Steve being Chelsea's father are faves of mine. I think it may be easier asking me about my least favorite (laughs). Oh, and as for favorite moment, Orpheus's unmasking and Sami's "death" and the reveal that she was alive are the best and most memorable for me. I: What are your least favorite stories since last August? Any least favorite episodes or moments? TL: Well, some aspects of Vendetta, as I said above, were all over the place. I felt the Maggie/Victor/Doug/Julie story got muddled a bit in the spring. I think the Cassie/Max/Abby/Chelsea story didn't get enough attention, nor did the Lexie/Abe/Celeste story. I think all these suffered from a bloated cast, which is why we are making cuts. I don't think there was a clear cut flop of a story or moment though. I guess I am kind of embarrassed about the whole cruise ship in Salem thing (laughs). I took alot of hell from my partner and others for that. It will be one of those unsolved mysteries. How did that ship get into Illinois? (laughs) That story was written 8 months in advance and I still missed that plot point! I: Do you feel the writing for Salem Lives as a whole has improved in the past year? TL: I already answered this above but, yes, I think it has. I mean, having a full year under our belt now together is bound to improve us. We use history even more then we did before. We emphasize emotion better and our execution is better. As I said, we learned as we went along but also learned a great deal from each other and our loyal readers. I think we will only get better from here. I am doing my best to shorten the length of the episodes I write. I think our fans will start noticing some changes next week in the day to day episode writing. We are going to really strive to make Salem Lives the best it can be. We're both very excited. I: What would you like to do in the future on Salem Lives that hasn't been done yet? TL: Good question and one that is hard to answer without giving out the future ideas we are discussing right now. All I will say is I would really like to do a good murder story at some point with suspects and all. I just like those stories and I know I would have fun writing the fallout. My partner would like it too, I think. I: In the past year, have you changed your feelings toward any particular character you wrote for? In other words, do you now hate writing for a character that you once enjoyed writing for? TL: As my partner said in his interview, it's a waste to keep someone around you can't write for due to your feelings for them. I find something interesting about all the characters so I don't find a problem writing for any of them. Some of the cuts we made, however, were of people that were getting to a point where we felt they needed a rest. We just felt they were played out right now so we are moving them off the canvas but plan to bring them back at some point. At that time, we will have a fresh perspective. I will say I find myself enjoying writing for Doug and Julie much more then I thought. It was hard writing for them at first because it felt like they were nothing but props but getting them into story helped that along nicely. I: Salem Lives has had a large cast for the past year, one that is being cut down a bit now. Will cutting down help and did you find writing for a large cast difficult? TL: I think this issue has been beaten to a pulp (laughs). It was difficult, as I mentioned above, but we had to use who we did to further story and to get the canvas to the place we have it now. The cuts we are making now will make Salem Lives much tighter and cohesive. It should help us be able to capture every beat of every story we do and our balance, which is good, will only get better. I: Salem Lives uses Days history an awful lot and seems to strive to be true to every character. How important do you feel history is to the writing and to Salem Lives? TL: Without a doubt. It's one of the most important things in writing a soap. As a writer of a soap, you have to recognize that much happened before your time and that the fans know all this. The fans need to be treated like intelligent people. You need to show them that you care about history and the characters and you do that by mentioning and using history in your stories. It impresses them and inspires confidence as they will learn to trust you as a writer. History also enhances a story and can help a fan care about it and a new character if you tie it back to the past. Utilizing history just makes for a more well-rounded story or show. We love using history and it's a big part of what we do. One of our upcoming stories will be utilizing alot of history. We're excited about it. I: Orpheus as the MCF seems to have been the biggest story of the year, along with the Victor vs Stefano war. Clearly, both are umbrella stories. How important do you feel umbrella stories are to Salem Lives and how you feel personally about them? What are you thoughts on the MCF/Orpheus story and the Victor vs Stefano story? Do you feel they were successful quality-wise as umbrella stories? TL: Very important because they improve balance and can draw more fans in because many faves are involved in one story. Therefore, some fans who only like certain characters or couples can learn to like others by way of an umbrella story. They just amp up the atmosphere and create a much more exciting story and show. They can be taxing, especially if you write one like Vendetta was that involved everyone in the cast, but they can be very rewarding in the end as they can change the whole climate and landscape of a show. I think the Orpehus story and mob war story were superb and that they were fantastic stories. They affected the whole canvas and really impacted long-term story, which is what umbrella stories are supposed to do. They were a blast for both of us to write and still are as both stories are still ongoing. I: What are you most excited about that is upcoming on Salem Lives this Fall and beyond? Is there anything you want Salem Lives as a whole to improve on and is there anything you feel you want to personally improve on as a writer? TL: Well, I am personally going to improve on shortening the episodes I write and I think we are both going to strive to make Salem Lives the best it can be...tighter, cohesive, etc. I am excited about everything. Honestly, this is the most excited I have been. The stories we have coming our classic soap but also very unique in themselves. The balance is good and we will be using history and even faces from the past. My partner and I love what is ahead! I: Any other further thoughts on Salem Lives' past, present, or future? TL: I just want to say thank you to my gifted, loyal, and hard working partner. Without your creative mind and your friendship, Salem Lives would never be what it is today. I want to thank the loyal readers who check us out everyday. We appreciate it and hope you continue to do so and that we succeed in entertaining you all. 5. -At the Salem police station, Chelsea is in the interrogation room handcuffed. Hope comes in, shocking Chelsea. Chelsea asks what she is doing there. Hope explains that she wanted to say goodbye to her in private, given their situation. Chelsea understands. Hope: I know it's been hard. Keeping this secret and having to lie like this. I just think it's... Chelsea: For the best right now? I know. The family has been through enough. Hope: I just regret that Bo and Billie are thinking of you as their daughter when your mine and I can't even tell anyone, let alone act as a mother to you. Chelsea: It's ok. Really... Hope: Wow...you really have grown up. The "old" Chelsea would be upset. Chelsea: Yeah, well, life changes you. It's been a rough year and a half and I had no choice but to grow up. Hope (smiling): Well, I must say I am proud of you. Chelsea: You shouldn't be. Hope: Yes, I should. You straightened yourself out and you are taking responsibility for your actions. You are doing everything right and I am proud of you for it. Doesn't a mother have a right to be proud? Chelsea: Yes. But mom I... Hope (smiling): Mom? That is the first time you ever called me that. Of course, with us keeping our secret and not seeing each other much... Chelsea: Yeah. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to... Hope: No. It's fine. Say it again. Chelsea (smiling): Mom... Hope: It's nice...hearing my daughter call me "Mom." Chelsea begins to tear up. Hope gets emotional looking at her. Chelsea: Love...that's all I wanted my whole life. Now, I have it. Love from my family, including one that thinks they are my family, and love from my real mother. We've come a long way, haven't we? Hope: Yep. Sure have. Who knew we would ever get along? Chelsea: I'm glad we are and I'm glad your my mother. Billi is great but... Hope: You feel the connection...the connection between mother and daughter. It's what we both have, Chelsea. Hope then hears people coming and figures it's the rest of the family. Hope: I hate to rush this but we have to make this quick. Hope puts her arms around Chelsea as they both begin to break down. Hope: Be strong and remember we all love you. I love you... Chelsea: I think...that's a first too. Hope: I believe it is. Chelsea: Well, let me add a first. I love you too, mom. Hope (smiling): Well said. Chelsea: Thanks. You'll all keep in touch, right? Hope: Yes. I will let you know what happens with Jack and Billie. We'll find them. Chelsea (nodding): Well, I guess it's goodbye. Hope: I hate this. We have already lost so much time and now we will be losing more. Chelsea: We''ll make up for it. I'll be fine. God, I have to keep saying that or I will lose it. Hope: Your my daughter. A Horton. Your made of the strong stuff. You'll make it. Chelsea: Thanks but...I'm so...scared. Hope: That's natural. We'll all be praying for you and thinking about you. We'll call, write, visit...we won't forget you. We would never...do that. Chelsea: I'm glad we had the chance to talk before I left. Just hearing you say you were proud of me and that you love me... Hope: And you calling me "Mom." I guess we both made each other happy. Chelsea embraces Hope as they hold on to each other for what seems like an eternity. Chelsea: I'll miss you all... Hope: I know. We'll miss you too. Chelsea: I love you, mom. Hope: Love you too, sweetheart. Just be strong, ok? Chelsea nods as Bo walks in and asks what is going on. -On the island, Jack is roaming around and comes across a small waterfall. He marvels at it and then notices Billie a short distance nearby, overlooking the waterfall. Jack walks over to you and mentions he has been looking for her. Billie says nothing. Jack asks if she is giving him the silent treatment now. Billie: Yes. Jack: That didn't last long. Billie: You know what? Why can't you just open up to me? Confirm to me what we talked about before. Your pushing me away because your afraid, just like you did with Jennifer. Your afraid to hurt me, you think your unworthy...come on, Jack. It's obvious. You confessed your feelings to me on the ship and there is no way you would lie to me. Jack: Billie... Billie grabs Jack's face and looks him in the eyes. Billie: I want the truth. I wandered around this island for so long, thinking about you and wondering what I could do to convince you. I came up with nothing but, let me say, if you can't at least be honest with me, I want nothing to do with you. I can't be friends with someone who can't be honest. Jack: But, Billie... Billie: NO!! Damnit, Jack. You play hero on the high seas but, when it comes to feelings and opening up, you just shut down. I was afraid to admit my feelings to you for so long because I had been hurt in the past. Being on death's door forced me to confess my feelings but I am taking a risk now and putting my heart...my feelings...everything on the line. For you. For a chance for us. Life is full of risks, Jack. We can't fear them our whole life. We have to take a chance and hope for the best. Otherwise, you may never... Jack: What is this about you taking a risk? You haven't done anything. All that is a bunch of romantic mumbo...whatever. Billie: Oh, please. Jack: You make it sound like you rode a bike with Evil Caneval. Now that is a risk. Not some... Billie: Yeah, ok! Why don't you show me a risk right now by taking one? Jack: No thanks. Billie: Your scared. What a chicken. Billie begins to cluck as Jack watches, rolling his eyes. Jack: Very mature. Billie: Don't pull that on me. You started this by saying that I didn't... Jack: I simply think you haven't risked anything yet and I don't plan to risk anything myself so... Billie: You are as stubborn as they come. What will it take...wait, what would qualify as a big risk to you? Jack: I don't want to... Billie: Just answer me. Jack: I don't know...gambling alot of money, something dangerous... Billie (looking down the waterfall): Hmm...I will make you a deal. If I do something that fits your qualifications as a risk and I see it all the way through, then you open up to me about everything your feeling. Got it? Jack: I... Billie: It's fair, Jack. Jack: Hmm...fine. But, you must see it all the way through. Billie: Don't worry. I plan to. Billie smiles as she turns and then jumps off the cliff and down into the waterfall as a stunned Jack watches. He screams Billie's name, asking if she is alright. Billie surfaces from underwater and says she is fine. She tells Jack to come on down. The water is great. Jack refuses and thinks she is nuts. Billie says she took a risk and now he has to pay up on his debt. Jack asks if he can get out of the original deal by diving off the cliff and down into the waterfall. Billie shakes her head but Jack reminds her of how dangerous this is. Billie doesn't care but, just then, Jack picks up speed and jumps off the cliff and into the waters below. Billie gets hit by Jack's splash. Jack resurfaces and tells Billie they are even. Billie says they are not even as he needs to fulfill their first deal as they never shook on his deal. Jack says he isn't doing something he doesn't want to do, regardless of the circumstances. Billie asks what is wrong with him. Jack doesn't answer and simply swims away and returns to dry land. Billie follows and begs Jack not to run away from her...or his feelings. Meanwhile, in a small country Inn in Europe, a young man (Christian Bale) is sitting at a desk by the window of what appears to be a first class, luxurious room. He is hard at work writing in a black book when a woman (Finola Hughes) knocks and then enters. Woman: I hate to interrupt but there is an emergency and we must go. Man: Excuse me? Woman: I have a helicopter waiting. We have a mission to go on, son. Man: Mission? What's going on, mother? Woman: Nothing. Just grab a jacket and some... Man: Secretive again, eh? I guess that's just your nature. Woman: We don't have time to waste. Just come on... Man: Tell me where we are going! Woman: I'm your mother, Alexander. Can't you just... Man: Come? No, mother. I am sick of the secrets. Just let me know what is gong on. Woman: You'll see. Please, just humor me. Man: Fine but, on one condition. Woman: Yes... Man: That you are honest with me from this point on. Understand? Woman: I've tried and... Man: Keep trying. Woman: Fine. Fine. Can we go now? Man: Yep, as long as you remember our condition. Woman: I will. Don't you worry. Now, let's go. Time is precious. The woman races out with the young man, Alexander, right behind her. Back at the police station, family and friends have now gathered to say goodbye to Chelsea. Kate embraces Chelsea and promises to call, write, and visit. Chelsea thanks her and says she is a great grandmother. Kate thanks her for that, especially with everything happening in her life. Chelsea tells Kate that it will all work out. She just needs to be strong, like she usually us. Kate tells Chelsea to take her own advice because it's what is best for her. Chelsea nods, saying she will follow that principle if Kate does. Kate says she will and then tells Chelsea they will do this together, even if she is going to be away They embrace once more. Kate tells Chelsea she loves her and she tells Kate the same. Meanwhile, Bo asks Hope why she was so upset when he arrived. Hope says she hates seeing Chelsea go through this after she finally got her life in order. She tells Bo they were talking about how she has changed and it's just a shame this happened. She also tells Bo she told Chelsea she was proud of her for taking responsibility for her actions. Bo assures Hope she probably made her a very happy young woman today. Hope smiles. Bo goes over to say goodbye but not before getting a comforting hug and kiss from Hope. Bo thanks her and goes over to Chelsea. Hope then notices Steve sneak out of the room while Kayla is with Caroline saying their goodbyes to Chelsea. Hope notices how suspicious Steve looks and, recalling the conversation with Tony she heard between them earlier concerning Maison Blanche and his going there. she decides to see what he is up to. She eavesdrops on him when she sees him making a phone call. Steve tells the person on the phone and says he needs one ticket...for the first flight out to New Orleans!! Hope is stunned and wonders what is going on with him. Later, Carrie (who is holding Evan) and Belle say goodbye to Chelsea, along with Marlena. Julie, Alice, Maggie, and Victor say their goodbyes. Victor apologizes for not doing more but assures Chelsea that Stefano will pay for his interference. Chelsea thanks him. Forrest wheels Abby over and wishes Chelsea luck. Abby and Chelsea tearfully embrace. They admit they will miss each other. Chelsea begs Abby to be careful and to listen to those who care about her. Abby tells Chelsea she doesn't want tension right now. Chelsea agrees but begs Abby to at least listen. Abby nods in approval. Chelsea also tells Abby to let her know if her father and her mother is found. Abby says she will. Max and Stephanie then come over to say goodbye to Chelsea. Chelsea begs both of them to help Abby and to do their best to get Forrest out of her life. Max says he will. Frankie and Greta then walk over to say their goodbyes as Doug walks in. He gives Julie a cold look and then approaches Chelsea to say goodbye. Meanwhile, Marlena is asking Bo if he has heard from Roman. Bo says he hasn't. Marlena turns her back in disgusted, wondering what Roman is up to now. Victor comes over and tells Bo that his people are still out looking and they have nothing. Steve interjects and thinks that Roman is nearby since it's the last place they would look. Bo thinks that is a good point and then asks Victor if he has enough manpower since he has many of hus men acting as guards to their loved ones. Victor says he has plenty of help and that it will be fine. The scene then shifts to Kate, who is in a corner away from everyone. not wanting to start trouble. She then looks outside the door and catches a glimpse of something or someone shocking. She sneaks out of the room and into the police station hallway. Kate ends up in the main lobby and is shocked when the person or thing that caught her eye is standing right in front of her. The camera then pans around to show a woman's shoes. The camera then pans up to reveal MIRANDA GREY!! Miranda smiles, saying she was hoping Kate would see her when she strutted herself by the interrogation room. She knew she would be present for Chelsea. Kate says she is always there for her children and grandchildren. Miranda laughs and says that's rich coming from the cold hearted bitch that abandoned all of her family and friends to become the fine piece of work she is now...a mother who tries to control her children's lives but only manages to ruin their lives and, in some cases, kill them. Miranda clearly strikes a nerve in Kate, who hauls off and slaps Miranda! Back in the interrogation room, Bo walks over to Chelsea and embraces her. He tells her to be strong and that he will come visit and stay in touch. Chelsea thanks him for being a great dad. She says she will miss him. She begins to cry as Bo's eyes well with tears too. He tells her she will be fine. He will make sure of it. He kisses her on the cheek and tells her to be the strong girl he knows she is. She nods. An officer shows up to take her out to the squad car that will take her to the mental hospital. As she is about to leave, Bo tells her he is proud of the woman she is becoming. Chelsea smiles and looks at both Bo and Hope. She tells them she loves them and then says she loves everyone in the room and thanks them all for being there. She says goodbye one last time as she is escorted out the door while everyone watches. Forrest comforts Abby, angering Max. Bo and Hope comfort each other. Steve watches Chelsea escorted down the hallway and then sneaks out of the room. He catches up to Chelsea and the officer and asks the officer for one minute. He embraces Chelsea, confusing her. She asks him what is wrong, noticing the tears in his eyes. Steve tells her she will be ok. Everything will be ok. She just needs to be strong and she will get through this. Chelsea nods and tells Steve goodbye. He grabs her arm and then whispers in her ear: Steve: I may know who your father is. I am going to look into it and I promise to let you know when I know anything. Chelsea is stunned and asks: Chelsea: Do you know about... Steve (whispering): Yes...I know about Hope being your mom. Your secret is safe with me. Just keep my investigation on the down low. Chelsea: Why do you... Steve: Shh...whisper!! Officer: We have to go...and I don't like all this whispering. Chelsea (whispering): It's ok, officer. I'm not plotting an escape or anything. Why are you doing this, Steve? Why do you care? Steve: I have my reasons. That is all you need to know. Goodbye, Chelsea. Chelsea: Bye. The officer escorts Chelsea down the hallway and out the main entrance as Steve watches. He wipes tears from his eyes and says: Steve: I will find out, Chelsea. Not just for you but for me...and for Hope. I need answers. We all do. I think New Orleans is the place to get them. Steve is unaware that Hope is right behind him and has overheard the whole thing just as Bo and Kayla walk up behind her, asking if she is ok. Hope turns and freezes as Steve turns and asks what is going on. The scene then freezes on Hope and then fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... HOPE MAKES A BIG DECISION,,,CARRIE GOES AFTER NICOLE...KATE AND MIRANDA GO AT IT!!
  6. Due to heavy storms in my area and the fact that my power has been on and off for the past 2 hours, it's been hard trying to get today's episode ready to post. Rather then not letting our fans know ahead, I am choosing to make a preemptive strike. Today's episode of Salem Lives will not be posted tonight. We will follow the schedule we did last week in that Friday's episode will be posted tomorrow night and this week's SL INSIDER and promo will be posted Sunday night. After that, everything will be good. We apologize for the inconvenience. This summer has been a mess for me with storms, outages, and so on and I just know, judging by the lightning outside my window, I am going to lose power again due to the pattern I am used to . 7. - Lucas is standing at the window at Roberts INC, staring out into the warm night air. He has his hands in his pockets as he drifts off in thought. These thoughts are always about the same thing....... Sami. At that moment, someone warmly hugs him from behind. He jumps back and then turns to see Joelle. He asks her what the hell does she think she’s doing sneaking up on someone like that. She says she’s sorry but the air conditioner made her blouse stick out and knows he felt that when she hugged him. Lucas walks away from her and tells her to get a grip, to which she replies that that was exactly what she was trying to do. Lucas calmly tells her that she is a very beautiful woman and he is very flattered but he just lost someone who meant more than anything to him. And right now, he’s nowhere near ready for anything like that. Joelle tells him that she doesn’t want his mind right now. That can come later. She just wants his body. Lucas stares at her in shock, saying that there is no way he’ll do that in his office. She reminds him that some of the best deals ever made happened just like that in an office somewhere. Lucas knows that but all he wants is her to slam the brakes on and go find a cold shower somewhere. She grows silent as he turns and walks out of his office. She stands there, looking at his backside as he leaves, and promises to herself that she will make him forget all about Ms. Samantha Brady........ And soon. She smiles at the thought of her next move as she leaves his office. -At the majestic Winters Hotel in downtown Salem, Cal walks in with Katherine trailing right behind him. Cal hasn’t spoken a word since learning of Katherine’s job offer and all he can say is.... Cal: So, was I supposed to know about this or were you just going to keep this to yourself? Katherine: (closing the door) Dammit, what did you expect me to do? All you worry about is why the Brady's have kept you out of everything.......or so you think. And then I was supposed to hit you with this? Cal: Yes! You were supposed to be honest with me. Katherine: But you can’t even be honest with yourself. You still think of them as your family. And they think of you the very same way. Cal: (turning his back) Uh, no they don’t. Katherine: (hugging Cal from behind) Yes, they do, babe. But what you need to understand is that so much has happened to them....and us. I know you feel so badly about Eric and Sami........ Cal: I feel like my two kids are gone......and that I couldn’t do anything to protect them. And then (turning around), when I go to them and offer my support..... Katherine: They seem to turn their backs on you, right? Cal: (wiping tears from his eyes) Yeah. Yeah, right. That’s how I feel. Katherine: And that’s how you’re supposed to feel. Always be honest to yourself about your feelings. That is the best way you can heal. And remember something else. Cal: Yeah? Katherine: That you have a family right here.........me. And you also have a family out there that doesn’t know what happened to you. Being a Toscano will take up a lot of your time and I feel, personally, that you need to find those answers. Cal: You’re right, lady. (kissing her gently) I think it just may be time for us to spread our wings. And...........since I’m the head of the Toscano Family now.......... Katherine: That brings a lot of wealth and power. You can do a lot of good, Cal. Cal: With you by my side.........how can I fail? They both smile at each other. They kiss gently and hold each other closely. As they start to make their way to their bed, there is a knock at the door. A flustered Katherine sits on the bed as Cal goes and answers the door. When he opens it, his bodyguard, Angelica, asks if he’ll be needing anything else tonight. Katherine stands up and walks over to Cal, draping herself over him, and Cal looks back at Katherine, saying to Angelica... Cal: I think I have...........everything I want for this evening. Goodnight. All Angelica can do is smile as Cal slowly closes the door. Angelica then casually saunters down the hallway to her bedroom. -Later that evening, at the Pub, Cal and Katherine walk in hand and hand. The family smiles and hugs both Cal and Katherine, with Caroline asking what is going on. Cal looks at Katherine and then back at the Brady's, announcing that they are leaving Salem........and moving to San Francisco. Caroline, Bo, Hope, Steve, Kayla, Roman and Marlena are shocked. Bo tells him first they lost Kimberly and Shane, now Cal and Katherine? Roman says it isn’t right for the family to be splitting up like this. Cal slowly walks over to Roman and asks him if he really means that. Roman looks at him and tells Cal that as far as he’s concerned, he has two brothers. Bo.......and Cal. Both men shake on it and Cal tells Roman to make sure he watches out for the family.........or Roman will answer to him. Roman makes him that promise, telling him if he ever needs anything.......his Brady family is just a phone call away. Katherine is crying now as Kayla gives her a handkerchief and they both laugh. Caroline tells Katherine to watch after her boy for her. She then starts telling him what he likes to eat and says she’ll send all of her recipes to San Francisco so that she won’t forget. They all laugh again as Hope walks over to her and tells her........that the best thing she ever did in her life was to find such a splendid man as Cal. She tells Katherine that she saved his life and Hope, personally, will be forever grateful for that. Caroline steps up and says they all will. At that moment, Bo's phone rings. He takes the call in private, A short time later, he returns and announces it's time to say goodbye to Chelsea. The mood turns grim as Caroline says they need to get everyone together. Steve says that he wishes he had more time to get to know her. Hope looks at Steve strangely. Kayla catches these looks and looks at Steve, wondering what he meant by that. Bo says they better get on over there and call the others on the way. They don't have much time before the transfer. Everyone begins to get ready to leave the Pub, leaving Cal and Katherine standing by the door. They look at each other and silently decide to leave. As they walk out the door, Cal looks back through the window at the family that was once his. Then he stares at Roman............and just shakes his head. Katherine takes him by the arm and they both walk off into the night. -Roman gets a phone call and separates form the group. Marlena watches him as he speaks softly. He shakes his head and, when Marlena starts to sneak up on him, Roman can feel her presence and abruptly ends the call. He then turns around and asks her......... Roman: What the hell?! Marlena: And who was that? Roman: Nobody, ok? Marlena: Ok, my ass. You kill me with this. Like I don’t have the right to ask you what is going on. At that moment, Bo sees that Marlena and Roman are arguing and he places a phone call to Victor. He tells him that he is on his way over and he’ll be bringing someone along. Victor asks if this person can be trusted. Bo says that if having a patch over his eye is any indication, that should be all he needs. Victor grows silent for a few moments and then tells Bo to bring Steve along. But......to make it quiet. Nobody need know of their plans. Bo and Victor hang up and then Bo nods at Steve. Bo and Steve then say their goodbyes as Hope and Kayla ask where they are going. Bo says that Steve just agreed to help him with something, that’s all. They’ll both be very careful. Bo kisses Hope on the cheek and Steve does the same with Kayla as both women watch the men take off into the night. Then, at that moment, they turn to see Marlena trying to convince Roman not to leave........ Marlena: This damn revenge thing of yours is going to get you killed. Roman: Well........my life. Marlena: Don’t get flippant with me, sir. Roman looks at Marlena, knowing he just made a mistake......... Marlena: (Pointing at Roman) How many more people do we have to lose? Do you know the HELL I went through when I thought you were dead? Huh?! Do you?! Roman: But I came home, Doc. I’m right here, ok? Marlena: But for how long? A week? A month? Tell me, cop! Roman: Dammit, woman.........I don’t know that. The family looks at the couple as Roman looks into Marlena’s eyes and tells her..... Roman: I have to do this. I just.........I just have to. Roman then turns and walks briskly out the door as Marlena chases after him. Hope, Kayla and Caroline stop her, telling her that now is not the time. Hope tells her Roman has to work through this so he can come back to her. Marlena hopes she’s right because if she isn’t......... She can’t bear the thought of burying the only man she’s ever truly loved. -At the Kiriakis Mansion, Bo and Steve walk into the huge study room. Victor is sipping brandy and asks Steve if he would like some. Steve’s only reply is...... Steve: No. Not right now, Vic. Victor: Fine. I guess we can get down to business. Steve: Good. By the way........have you heard from my sister? How’s she and “Dimples”? Victor: (Laughing) That sense of humor. I did miss it. They are all doing fine. Steve: (Sitting on the couch) Good to hear. You know, even though he’s your nephew.......he still ended up alright. Bo: And me, Steve? Steve: Oh, Bo. You were always the cat’s meow to me, bro. Bo: Good to hear. Victor pulls out a huge map. A map of a structure. They go over the plans that Victor and Bo talked about earlier. Nico walks in and joins the small group, asking Victor if it's alright to speak in front of Steve. Victor says for now........yes. Nico tells both Victor and Bo that things are moving along smoothly. They are in constant contact with their operatives, especially the person Bo has been speaking with. Everything is taking shape. Victor says excellent. Bo agrees. Steve asks what is going on. Victor tells him........ Victor: All in due time, Steve. I always keep my plans close to the vest. Makes it safer for everyone. Steve: You got it, Vic. Victor: And now, if you’ll excuse us...... Victor and Nico leave to go talk privately. Bo and Steve pick up some pool cues and start to play a game. Steve tells Bo that he still hasn’t paid him the $5 bucks he owes him for that game in the Carribean. Bo smiles, saying that he thinks he can afford it now. Steve smiles as well but then he turns serious, asking Bo..... Steve: You really in that deep with your old man? Bo: Deep? How? Steve: Well, it wasn’t too long ago you couldn’t stand him. All that stuff in Miami.....remember that? And all that business with Carly Manning? Bo: Well, I was a different person then. Both men smile...... Bo: And I’d like to think I’ve gotten used to some different ways of thinking. Victor is right about one thing, though........your enemies must bleed. And bleed heavily. Stefano and Orpheus have gotten away with too much. They want blood.......that’s what I’m prepared to show them. And a lot of it. Steve: I’ll drink to that, bro. Both men pour two glasses of brandy and then toast one another before downing the drinks in one gulp. Victor then walks back into the room, announcing......... Victor: Well, gentlemen. It seems that your brother, Roman, has went off on some fool’s errand. Bo......you might have to bring him in. His anger is wonderful for the war we are fighting but I can’t have anything happen to him. Caroline would never forgive me. Bo: Is this the same man who ordered him shot at the New Year’s Ball? Victor: Yes. Yes, it is. It’s also the same man who knows what losing a child does to you. He’s lost two children. Tell me......how did you feel when Zack died? Bo is silent as he stares at his father...... Victor: Exactly. Find him, gentlemen. And reel him in............ Before he does something that may destroy us all. The scene then goes from Steve...........to Bo...........and stops at Victor, before freeze framing on his face, and slowly going black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... GOODBYE CHELSEA!! PLUS, HOPE IS ON TO STEVE!!
  8. Thanks JtSmarts . Hope to see you reading and commenting more often. There is great things ahead.
  9. -At the Pub, family and friends have gather to say their goodbyes to Kim and Shane. Hope is at the bar and hates that they had to leave Chelsea with her leaving so soon. Bo reminds her visiting hours were over and that they would not be permitted to see her until it is time for her to leave. Hope makes note of the fact that she could be leaving tonight. Bo says he knows and they will be there, if it happens. Bo comforts her and says he never thought he would see the day where Hope treated Chelsea like her own daughter. Hope's face turns to one of panic. Belle and Marlena embrace Kim and Shane and wish them luck. They both thank them as Max, Stephanie, Frankie, and Greta come over and so the same. Kim wishes Roman would come. They don't have much time and she doesn't want to leave without saying goodbye to him. Marlena hears this and calls Roman, telling him that he is needed at the Pub. His sister is leaving Salem and his place is with his family and friends. Marlena hangs up and then gets another calls. She answers and hears Barbara, who tells Marlena she has been trying to reach her. She needs to make an appointment with her and must not toss her treatment aside. Marlena tells Barbara she will but now is not a good time. She will talk to her soon. Marlena hangs up, saying her problems are the least of her concerns. Meanwhile, Stephanie and Max talk about what he told her at the station. She can't believe Fred is Forrest. She always thought he was dead. Max has no idea what is going on but he knows Forrest is bad news, as does Chelsea. Neither one of them has been unable to get through to Abby. Stephanie says that she can call and talk to Abby. Max doubts it will help but thinks trying wouldn't hurt. Stephanie takes out her cell and calls Abby, who is sitting with Alice when she answers her phone. Stephanie and her both ask how the other is doing before Stephanie asks if Fred is there with her. Abby says he isn't and asks why. Stephanie says that she knows that Fred is Forrest Alamain and she thinks it would be best if Abby stayed away from him for now. Abby gets upset and says she can't believe she is siding against her too. Stephanie says she just has a bad feeling and insists they all care about her and are worried. Abby says they will all see that they are wrong. Forrest has been a blessing to her and they will soon see he is not what they all think he is. Stephanie prays Abby is right but begs Abby to be careful at least. Abby says she will before saying goodbye and hanging up. Alice asks if there is a problem. Abby shakes her head and says it's something that will work itself out. Stephanie tells Max she tried and failed. Max doesn't know what else to do. Stephanie thinks they need to tell her dad or maybe even Bo, Roman, or Abe. Max thinks that is a bad idea. Forrest was adamant about keeping his identity a secret and blowing his cover to many people may cause him to do something rash. Stephanie still thinks they should get some help, like maybe telling his brother or something. Max says Frankie would be of no use just as Frankie and Greta walk by and overhear. Frankie asks what Max is talking about. Max says it's nothing but then Stephanie jumps in and interrupts him, saying that max and Chelsea are worried about Abby because of Fred. Frankie and Greta are confused. Stephanie adds that they are worried because Fred is really Forrest Alamain. Frankie and Greta are stunned. -At Sami's apartment, Lucas is now all dressed up and in his suit. He comes out of his bedroom to Will and asks how he looks. Will says he looks great. Lucas then worries he won't be able to do this. Will tells him to just have confidence and reminds him that mom is watching over both of them. Lucas smiles and says that and the fact that he is also doing this for his son is what will keep him going. Will and Lucas embrace as Will tells Lucas he is so proud of him. Lucas tells Will he is proud of him too. Lucas looks at his watch and says he has to go. Will and Lucas say their goodbyes as Lucas leaves. Later, Lucas arrives at Roberts INC and is greeted by Joelle, who says she will now be his personal secretary with Kate gone. Lucas nods and says he hopes they can have a cooperative relationship. Joelle smiles and says she hopes so too as Lucas takes a deep breathe and hopes that he can move on and do this. He then heads to his office. Joelle follows. Lucas tells her he is ready to just dive right in and tells Joelle to hit him hard. Joelle then explains how backed up they are with everything Kate and the family went through so it's up to Lucas to get them caught up. Lucas understands and begins to throw himself right into it, telling Joelle he thinks he has it under control. Joelle then puts her bare leg on the desk and smiles, saying she knew he looked like a man that likes to take charge. Lucas smiles as Joelle seductively observes Lucas. -At the Cheatin Heart, Nicole is downing shot after shot while looking at a picture of Eric. Her eyes well up with tears as she remembers him and also Evan. She lost everything and she couldn't even go to Eric's funeral or the reception at the Pub. She reminds herself it's always been this way. She was never good enough for a Brady or a Horton and she is sick of it. The bartender asks if she wants another. Nicole shakes her head and says it's time she sobers up. She will not sulk anymore. It's time for her to sober up and get her revenge on those that belittled her and treated her so harshly. Nicole vows to make all her enemies wish they never laid eyes on her. -Back at the Pub, Steve embraces Kim and Shane and wishes them well. Bo, Hope, and Kayla do the same. Kim apologizes to Bo again for hiding the truth from him. Bo says they agreed to put it in the past. It's time to move on. Kayla agrees and adds that the family needs each other. Just then, Roman arrives and says he agrees. Marlena is pleased to see him, as is everyone else. Roman embraces Shane and Kim. Kim thanks Roman for everything and for standing by her through it all. Roman smiles and thanks her for doing the same. He then tells Shane to take care of his sister. Shane says he will, like always. Shane then apologizes to everyone again for his role in what happened to Carrie. Carrie then appears from upstairs with Evan and says it's all forgiven. She explains that he only tried to help her and had good intentions. Roman tells Shane it's time to just let it go. Shane thanks him and the Brady's, saying he would never want any harm to come to them. Caroline is so happy to see the family united again and thinks putting past issues in the past is best. She then embraces Kim and Shane, tearfully wishes them well, and adds that they will be missed. Carrie also says goodbye to them and gives them both an embrace. She adds that she will be on the receiving end of this too when she leaves. Everyone is stunned by Carrie's words. Carrie smiles and says she was going to keep it rather quiet but, since she blurted it out, she announces she is leaving Salem ASAP. She just needs to get away and she won't be saying where she is going. She just needs time to heal and think and she leaves tomorrow. Marlena thinks that is a good idea. Roman and the rest of the family say they will miss her and hate that she is doing it so fast. Carrie says she has to...for herself and Evan. Kim and Shane both wish her luck. Carrie thanks them. The door of the pub then slams as Anna yells out in disbelief that Carrie can't be leaving. Carrie tells Anna to get out and reminds her she has no say. She also lashes out at her for following her again. Anna says she just had to find her so they could talk. Anna begs Carrie to reconsider as she can help her through everything. Carrie tells her to just leave her alone and to stop acting like a mother. She has never been one nor will she ever be. Anna is heartbroken as Carrie wishes Shane and Kim well before saying she has to go. Caroline tells her they will have a party for her tomorrow. Carrie smiles and thanks her and tells everyone she will see them later before leaving. Anna then turns and faces everyone, asking what they are looking at. She then begins to fall apart and leaves the Pub in tears. Roman wonders if someone should go after her. Marlena thinks it's best if they leave it be. Kim tells Shane they really should be going. Shane agrees. They them embrace family and friends once last time and say their goodbyes before exiting the Pub while family and friends watch them walk off. In the parking lot, Shane gets Kim in the car. He then turns and sees Miranda there. She says she knows he is leaving and wishes him well. She is glad she found him before he took off. Shane says thanks and asks her to keep in touch and to watch her back. Miranda says she will and that she can handle herself. He should know. Shane laughs and says they have to get going. Miranda embraces him and tells him good luck. Shane thanks her. He then says goodbye to her and gets in the car. Back in the Pub, Frankie and Greta are stunned about Forrest. Max is upset with Stephanie but she argues that they needed help and she thinks Frankie and Greta will help since they are under the radar, unlike their family members in law enforcement. Frankie thinks they need to tell Abe, Bo, and Roman.. Max begs Frankie not to, saying Abby could be in danger as Forrest wanted the secret of his identity kept. Frankie says he promised he would always look after Abby. Max knows and says he is worried too but telling anymore people would only make things worse. He begs both Frankie and Greta to remain quiet...for now. Frankie agrees but tells Max and Stephanie they need to discuss Forrest later...in private. Meanwhile, Steve is at the bar when he gets a phone call and then tells the person he will be right out. He goes over to Kayla, who is with Caroline, and tells her that he needs to get something from the car, kisses her, and leaves. He walks outside and finds Tony, who asks why Steve called him and why they can't talk insider. Steve says they need to keep this private and just between them. He asks if Tony did as they discussed. Tony nods, saying he talked to the guards and he is clear to go visit the Maison Blanche area and the rebuilt mansion without problem. Tony says he will make sure Stefano doesn't interfere. Steve thanks him. Tony says it's no problem. He knows that the past is very important and can define a person. He will do anything to help him discover the truth behind his missing years, especially if it helps with bringing Stefano down. Steve and Tony both smile as Steve thanks him yet again and reminds him he mentioned something about a key. Tony remembers what he is talking about and hands Steve an iron key, saying that will help get him into the various secret passages and rooms in the house, just the way the old Maison Blanche was set up. He managed to snag it from Stefano's secret cabinet in the library at the mansion and it gives his access, which is important since Stefano likes to hide his various secrets in those areas. Steve thanks him. Tony tells him to keep in touch and to call if he needs anything more. He also wishes him luck. Steve says he will and reminds him to keep this all quiet. Tony promises he will as Steve thanks him yet again, unaware that Hope, who has just taken out the trash for Caroline, is behind the dumpster and is listening in on their talk. -Back in the parking lot, Shane asks Kim if she is ready. Kim says as ready as she will ever be. Shane assures her they will be fine. Kim says she knows but she will miss Salem. They have alot of bad memories but they have just as many good ones there. As she says that, a Kim and Shane montage begins to play: PLAY THIS KIM AND SHANE MONTAGE!! The scene then returns to Kim and Shane as he tells her they will return to Salem again...some day soon. Kim smiles and says: Kim: Just like we always end up doing, I guess. Ok. Let's get this show on the road! Shane then backs out the car and then drive off to the airport as the scene fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... CAL AND KATHERINE'S BIG DECISION AND ANNOUNCEMENT...VICTOR, BO, AND STEVE PLOT TOGETHER!!!
  10. -At the hospital, Katherine is sitting in her office when there is a knock. Katherine tells whoever it is to come in. It's Barbara, who asks Katherine if she has made a decision yet. The psych department will need a replacement and time is running out, according to guidelines. Katherine says she knows but she has problems. Barbara looks at her and asks if Cal is giving her trouble. Katherine fills her in and says she messed up. Barbara tells her to go to Cal. They need to talk alot out, especially their trust issues. Katherine agrees but says she hurt Cal deeply and that he was already upset due to some other issues. Barbara tells her to just find her husband and talk it all out. Katherine thanks Barbara. Barbara reminds Katherine that the offer she is getting is a great opportunity to work with a world-renowned psychiatrist. Katherine says she knows but it's still not worth losing Cal over. It will all depend on how things go when they talk. Barbara wishes her luck as Katherine thanks her. Barbara leaves, leaving Katherine alone to think about how she is going to go about talking to Cal about this. -At the Toscano mansion, Cal is sitting with his father's executive assistant. He asks Cal if he is going to sit there all day. Cal says he can't believe Katherine would lie to him, especially now with what he is going through. Angelica overhears and tells Cal that people make mistakes. Katherine is his wife and it seems she had good intentions. She knew he was going through alot and didn't want to burden him. Angelica also makes note of the fact that it's not like Katherine agreed to the offer. She just didn't tell him and was waiting for a better time. Cal realizes he has been a little harsh lately to those around him and that he can see why Katherine would do what she did. Angelica tells him to go talk to his wife. They need to talk everything out and then see where they stand. Cal realizes he said some hurtful things. He wonders what they will do about the job offer. Angelica tells him that marriage is about compromise and making decisions together. It will all work itself out when they talk. Cal thanks her for the advice and says he needs to find Katherine so they can talk. Angelica wishes him luck. Cal thanks her and says he will be back before walking out the mansion's front door. On the pier, Tony is walking when he comes across Carrie, who is sitting on a bench with Evan. Recalling his idea to help Anna and Carrie's relationship, Tony approaches Carrie in hopes of talking to her. Tony: Carrie! Long time, no see. Carrie: Tony! It has been awhile. Tony: I apologize for the fact that we have not played catch up sooner. My, have you grown since the days when you were that adorable little girl running around your mother and I in circles. You've really become a beautiful, loving woman. Carrie: Thanks. Tony: I want to apologize for your losses again. Losing Austin and your two siblings can't be easy. Carrie: No. It's been really rough and, do me a favor. Tell my mother that when you see here because it's about time she got that through that thick skull of hers. Tony: I know you two are having problems. Carrie, I know Anna comes on strong but give her a chance. She really wants to try and... Carrie: That time passed long ago, Tony. She missed so many things in my life. I needed her so many times and she always avoided my phone call, that is when I was able to locate her. I mean, it took her days to talk to me after we came face to face on the cruise ship. I can't give a woman like that a break. Tony: Carrie... Carrie: Tony...don't defend her. Look, I am going through a rough time right now. I'm a single mother, my family is a mess...I don't know how my family or I will move on from this. Tony: Simple. You all just need to follow your hearts and hold on to the memories. You all need to recognize that Austin, Eric, and Sami would want you all to be happy and to move on and lead wonderfully full lives. Carrie: Easier said then done. It's just so hard walking around Salem and being reminded of...(begins to cry) Tony (putting his arm around Carrie): I know. It's hard. Your strong though, as is your family. Carrie, why don't you try getting involved in something to take your mind off all the tragedy? Carrie: I don't have the time. I have a child. Tony: Well, you could get a job. I am sure Evan could go to a daycare or be looked after by a relative or friend. Carrie: I've thought about it but...I'm not sure. It may be too soon or... Tony: It's always going to be too soon. Austin would want you to move on, as would Eric and Samantha. Carrie, just follow your heart and trust it. Don't question it. Do what makes you happy and what feels right. Carrie: Your right. I just have to think about what does feel right right now. Tony: It will come. Now, about Anna... Carrie: No, nothing about her. I don't wish to discuss her. I would appreciate it if you cooperated with my wishes. Tony: Very well. (looks at watch) I must be going, anyways. Tony embraces Carrie and then gently kisses her hand. Tony: Good luck and do call me if you need anything. Carrie: Thank you. Have a good afternoon. Tony: You too. (looks at Evan and takes his hand) And you have a pleasant day too, young man. Carrie smiles. Tony then smiles at her and walks away. Carrie then looks out on the water and contemplates what she should do from here and what is right for her. She then turns the pocket radio she has in Evan's stroller on for some music to help her think. A news channel is on and Carrie hears the end of a report on an event in Israel. It reminds her of Mike and how he said someone was needed to promote and help get funding for the clinic Robin and him are trying to set up. Carrie recalls her job experience, most notably her position as a PR executive at University Hospital, and says she has an idea. -At the police station, everyone is still gathered near Chelsea's holding cell. Bo pulls Victor off of Stefano, who re-adjusts his collar and tells Victor he is lucky that he is a lenient man or he would press charges for assault. Victor tells Stefano to shut up. Stefano asks Abe if he is going to question him or not. Abe nods and says he will be. Stefano tells Abe to ask him what he wishes as he has much business to tend to. Victor assumes that means he is up to something involving all of them. Stefano chuckles. Abe asks Stefano if he is responsible for the DA and Judge Fitzpatrick changing gears and pushing for Chelsea to be in a mental hospital rather then jail. Stefano denies doing anything. Victor lunges for him but is held back by Bo, Hope, Shane, Frankie, Greta, and Maggie. Maggie begs Victor to stop this, as does Caroline. Belle tells Kim she is worried about where all this is leading. Kayla overhears and agrees. Stefano asks Abe if he is free to go as this whole interrogation is a sham. He has no proof and really no reason to bring him in for questioning. Abe tells Stefano to just go. It was a mistake bringing him down as it accomplished nothing. Stefano comments on how the Salem PD is always such a thorough and well put together department. Bo tells him to cut the BS. Stefano agrees to and bids everyone good day, saying he will see them all around. On the way out, Stefano walks up to Victor and whispers in his ear: Stefano: This is only the beginning, old friend. What I did to Chelsea was a subtle act. It was minor. You just wait and see what I have coming up next. Victor: So you did... Stefano: You will never prove it or make it stick. Even if you did, I have top notch lawyers and I have my ways of maintaining my freedom and my productive life. You would be wise to remember that. Good day, Victor. Stefano walks off as Victor watches in anger and disgust. Meanwhile, Maggie's phone rings. It's Lucas, who tells her he hates to bother her again but needs advice. He tells her about his mother giving him control of Roberts INC. Maggie is happy and proud of him and tells him to take advantage of it and to remember what she told him earlier. He needs to just focus on other things and going back to work and running Roberts INC would be perfect. Lucas isn't sure he is ready for a position like that nor is he sure he has the mindset with what has happened. Maggie tells him to have faith and to just go with it. He needs to do that for himself and for Will. After thinking for a moment, Lucas agrees that Maggie is right and tells her he will do it. Sami would want him to and it feels right. He will go run Roberts INC. Maggie is pleased and wishes him luck, reminding him to call if he needs anything or if he is tempted to have a drink. Lucas agrees and tells her to wish Chelsea and the family good luck and also tells Maggie thanks for everything. Maggie tells him anytime before they both say goodbye and hang up. Just then, Will comes out of his room and asks what is going on. Lucas tells Will about him being the head of Roberts INC now and Will is overjoyed, thinking it's needed. Lucas tells will that it will be good if he can build the company up to give to him someday. Will smiles. Lucas tells Will that it may be best for him to go to the office right away to get used to everything so he can formerly start ASAP. Will thinks that is a good idea. Lucas tells Will he may need a little help getting ready to go and all. Will asks if he is going to replace mom as his fashion consultant. They both laugh. Lucas tells Will it's been awhile since he laughed. Will says he hopes it won't be long before it happens again. Lucas tells Will to come along and help him get ready. Will follows Lucas into his bedroom. -Back at the station, Victor is still angry about Stefano. Maggie tries to calm him as Marlena shows up. Belle embraces her and she and Caroline fill her in on Kim and Shane leaving and the Chelsea issue. Caroline asks about Roman. Marlena says he is fine. Marlena is shocked Kim and Shane are leaving. Kim tells Marlena that Shane her are trying to give their relationship a go again so all this feels right. Marlena says she will miss them both as she embraces both of them. Caroline tells Marlena there will be a party at the Pub in another hour to say goodbye to Kim and Shane. Marlena says she wouldn't miss it for the world. Meanwhile, Abby tells Chelsea she is so sorry for her having to go through this, on top of her mom being missing. Chelsea thanks her and asks if there is any word on Jack and her mom. Abby shakes her head and says she is beginning to lose hope. They both embrace and comfort each other. Chelsea sees Forrest watching from the corner and tells Abby to be careful. Abby asks if that was yet another warning about Forrest. Chelsea tells Abby she doesn't trust him and is worried about her being with him so much. Abby tells Chelsea she is fine and that Forrest has done nothing but comfort her and try to help her. She adds that she can't wait for the day when Chelsea and everyone else realizes that they are all wrong about him. Chelsea asks Abby how she can ignore the fact that so many people think he is dangerous in some way. Abby doesn't answer and tells Chelsea she is there for her, like always. Chelsea nods and says she knows. That is what best friends are for. They hug. Max and Stephanie watch this scene and Stephanie reminds Max of what they discussed at the funerals yesterday. She asks Max what he knows about Forrest since he seems much more worried about Abby then she is. Max doesn't know if it's best to tell her, especially with Forrest/Fred watching. Stephanie tells him to just whisper it to her then. Max agrees, realizing that he could use some help with Chelsea being unable to help him. Max whispers in Stephanie's ear that the man with Abby is really none other then Forrest Alamain. Stephanie pulls away, stunned. Nearby, Hope is with Steve and Kayla when she asks Bo if there is any hope of getting Chelsea out of this. Bo shakes his head, saying she will be transferred within the next 24 hours. The wheels are in motion now with the DA and Judge Fitzpatrick on board. Hope begins to break down and says this can't be happening...not to Chelsea. Bo comforts her and makes note of how hard Hope is taking this. Bo says that it's like she has grown to love Chelsea as her own daughter. This causes Hope's face to light up as she realizes that she needs to be careful not to let her secret out. Steve and Kayla watch as Bo comforts Hope. Kim and Shane come over and comment on how horrible it is. Kim wishes they didn't have to leave now. Shane says she doesn't have to but Kim says she does. They are in this together. She takes his hand, lovingly. Steve and Kayla embrace and Kayla notices that Steve is taking all this rather hard. She reminds him he has been showing alot of concern for Chelsea and she knows he explained before but it's interesting and confusing. Steve says he just hates to see a young girl like that going through this. It reminds him so much of the things he went through in his past only this is something she has no way out of, really. Kayla smiles and says she loves being married to such a kind, caring man like him. Steve turns shy and says he isn't this perfect husband she makes him out to be. Kayla tells him he is perfect to her. They kiss. Steve looks at Chelsea. Kayla tells Steve she has to go talk to mom and walks off. While alone, Steve continues to look at Chelsea and says he needs to find out if she is his...once and for all. He tells himself it's time to get the ball rolling. The scene then shifts to Victor, who is on the phone down the hall. Maggie comes up behind him and asks if he is ok. Victor tells the person on the phone he will call them back. He then tells Maggie he will be fine when he destroys Stefano and all he stands for. Maggie tells Victor she knows he is angry and she did promise to stay out of his business dealings but she thinks he should wait to act on this. He is upset right now and it could all backfire. Victor says it won't. He needs to protect his family and he will not let what Stefano did to Chelsea stand. Victor: The war has been sparked yet again. May the best man win. Maggie looks on with worry as the scene freezes on a determined Victor and then fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... KIM AND SHANE SAY GOODBYE TO SALEM!!
  11. -At the Salem Police Station, Abe walks down the hallway to Chelsea's holding cell. When he gets to her cell, he yells out he has the info they need. Caroline, Bo, Hope, Belle, Julie, Alice, Abby, Stephanie, Forrest, Steve, Kayla, Frankie, Greta, Nico, and Victor are all there. Doug soon arrives, giving a cold look to a heartbroken Julie. Max also arrives and sees Forrest with Abby yet again. he comments on how they are attached at the hip and it seems Abby didn't heed his words. Stephanie approaches him and asks Max if he is ok. Max says he isn't and won't be until Abby is away from her "keeper." Abby thanks Forrest for coming with her. She really needs the support right now. Forrest tells her he is happy to oblige. Bo says it looks like there is no way out for Chelsea and then asks Abe what he learned. Abe tells everyone that the psychiatric hospital that was appointed to Chelsea seems fine. They have a solid record and there is no shady business. Everyone is surprised. Bo wonders if they are being led down a wild goose chase to cover up the real hospital Chelsea is being sent to. Abe doubts it. Hope reminds Abe that Stefano could be involved. Abe realizes she is right. Just then, Victor yells to everyone he has an announcement. He just talked to some of his underground contacts. Stefano was behind the interference in Chelsea's case. He was going to push for a severe legal penalty but changes his mind for some reason. Everyone in the room is upset. Abe doesn't understand what was in it for Judge Fitzpatrick and the DA but Bo says it doesn't matter. They need to question them and Stefano. Abe says he will go call Stefano in for questioning. Kim and Shane then arrive. They are holding hands and he whispers to her how he was having fun in bed and they could've spared another hour. Kim says they couldn't. Their plane leaves soon and they need to say goodbye to everyone. Caroline overhears and asks what she means by goodbye. Kim tells her mother to wait a second. She then yells out she has announcement to make-Shane and her are leaving Salem!! -At Cal and Katherine's suite, Cal is on the couch and asks Katherine what is taking so long in the bathroom. Katherine yells out she needs a few more minutes. Cal says there will be a puddle on the floor in a few minutes if she don't get her ass out of there. The phone then rings. Cal gets up to answer it just as Katherine finally emerges. Katherine apologizes for being so long but then finds herself stopping dead as Cal looks at her in shock. Katherine asks what is wrong. Cal tells the person that Katherine will call him back and hangs up. Cal then asks Katherine when she was going to tell him about her job offer...in San Francisco!! -At Roman and Marlena's, Roman is in the shower as Marlena thinks back to their night of lovemaking and smiles. She then looks at a picture of Sami and Eric and tears up. The phone then rings. Marlena looks at the caller ID and sees that it's Barbara's number. She opts not to pick it up and let's the machine get it. Marlena listens as Barbara leaves a message that says how they need to make an appointment as she must be treated. Her psyche is still fragile and she runs the risk of a relapse or worse if she doesn't take her meds or participate in therapy sessions. Barbara begs Marlena to call her before hanging up. Roman emerges and asks who was on the phone. Marlena says it was junk and she ignored it. He tells her he really enjoyed last night. Marlena says she did as well. They both needed it. He finished getting dressed as Marlena asks where he is going. Roman tells her he has business to tend to. Marlena tells Roman they need to get down to the station as the family is going over there to help Chelsea. Roman says he can't right now. Marlena reminds Roman that their family and friends have been there for them and they need to return the favor. Roman tells Marlena to apologize for him but he can't. He kisses her goodbye, says he loves her, and leaves. Marlena yells for him and follows but then stops, asking herself why Roman is doing this. -At Sami's apartment, Will opens the door to Maggie, who was knocking. Will thanks her for coming, telling her that Lucas came home drunk last night. Maggie says she had a feeling he would fall off the wagon. Will says he will leave them alone to talk. He goes to his room. Maggie approaches Lucas, who is laying on the couch covered in a blanket. Maggie pulls the blanket off Lucas's face and then off his body. She orders him to get up. Lucas shields his eyes and tells her to go away. Maggie grabs him by the neck and tells him she will go away when he gets his butt up and tells her what is wrong with him. Lucas: I just can't deal with the pain. I see Sami all over...I can't stop thinking about her...seeing her die... Maggie: I felt the same way after Mickey died. You know that. I fell off the wagon twice. This is not the answer, Lucas. You told everyone at the funerals yesterday that you knew Sami wouldn't want this. You have Will to think about. Doing this...isn't fair to him. You saw the mistakes I made this past year, Lucas. Don't do what I did. I got out of it but you may not be so lucky. Lucas: I know. Your right. I'm just falling apart right now. I'm all over the place. There is a guard outside my door with Orpheus and all the big bad super villains running around and I am just a wreck over what I'm going to do now. The women I love is gone. I have a son to raise...what I am going to do? Maggie: Get out of here. Go to work. Keep your mind off things. Go away with Will. Just don't sit around here because then you will be reminded of Sami constantly. Lucas: Your right. I don't think Will and I could leave right now with Orpheus out there and all but going back to work is a good idea. Finances are a little tight and it would be good to get out and be productive. Maggie: Exactly. Lucas: I just don't feel like working with mom everyday right now. Maggie: Just deal with it. She is your mother, afterall. Lucas: Yeah. Your right. Maggie then looks at her watch and says she has to be going. She is meeting Victor at the station so they can help with Chelsea. Lucas tells Maggie to wish Chelsea and everyone else luck. Maggie says she will and tells Lucas to call her and update her later. She also reminds him to call if he is tempted by a drink. She is his AA sponsor and it's her duty. Lucas says he will and thanks her. They embrace as Maggie says goodbye and leaves. Meanwhile, at the Java Cafe, Kate is drinking a coffee, waiting for her secretary, Joelle, to meet her. Joelle arrives but waits outside. She is watching Kate and her cell rings. She answers and tells the person on the other end she has it all under control and, with any luck, things will be better soon. Joelle tells the person she knows desperate times call for desperate measures. Joelle hangs up and goes in to meet with Kate. Kate thanks her for coming and asks of she brought the papers. Joelle nods and asks if Kate is sure. Kate nods, reminding Joelle that she had told her to do this awhile ago. Joelle tells Kate she is happy she is doing it now. Kate wishes she had done it while Austin was around but what's done is done. She will just have to hand it over to Lucas. Joelle pulls out the papers. Kate reads them and signs them. Kate asks Joelle if she is sure this is all she has to do to make it official. Joelle says it is. Kate gives her the papers and tells Joelle to call Lucas and to tell him he is now the CEO and principal owner of Roberts INC, formerly known as Roberts and Sons. Joelle agrees and tells Kate it was a pleasure working with her. Kate agrees. Joelle leaves while Kate tells herself she made the right decision and that it's time to make amends. Meanwhile, Joelle looks at the signed papers and smiles: Joelle: Hopefully, it won't be long now. The scene then shifts back to Lucas, who has just come out of the shower to find the phone ringing. He answers it. It's Joelle, who tells him that he is the new CEO and principal owner of Roberts INC. Lucas is shocked and asks about his mother. Joelle says she gave it all to him and asks if he will be starting ASAP. Lucas tells Joelle he will get back to her. He then hangs up, shocked and bewildered by what he just heard. -Back at Cal and Katherine's suite, Cal tells Katherine that was Mr. Lewis, from the University Hospital board. They wanted to know if she had made a decision yet because they need to find a replacement for her. Katherine tells Cal she is sorry. She was going to tell him but he was so upset about everything with his family and his past. Cal tells her there are no excuses. They promised the day they were married to be honest with one another and she already broke that promise. Plus, this involves a big decision and that also goes into the fact that he should've been told as marriage is a partnership. Katherine apologizes again but Cal won't hear it. He tells her he can't take this anymore. He won't be treated like crap by everyone. He then looks at Katherine and tells her that maybe she was right...she wasn't ready to get married and has no idea what a marriage really is. He then turns, opens the door, and leaves. A devastated Katherine goes after him but he has already went down the elevator. She breaks down in tears, regretting what she has done and praying that Cal comes back and doesn't do something stupid. -Back at the station, Kim has filled everyone in on Shane's ISA issues and how they reunited last night and are going off together. Alice smiles and says she always knew they were meant to be. Shane and Kim both thank her. Caroline is upset it has to happen so fast but insists they let her throw a quick goodbye party at the Pub. Kim insists that won't be necessary but Caroline thinks otherwise. Kim and Shane reluctantly agree to a goodbye party. Kim then apologizes to Chelsea for making the announcement with everything going om with her. Chelsea smiles and says it's fine and that she will miss them both too. Just then, Stefano enters the room, saying he was called to come down by Abe and told that he was near Chelsea's holding cell. The room is now silent and everyone is staring at a smiling Stefano, all except Victor, who calls Stefano a sadistic bastard and lunges for him just as Maggie comes in. Victor takes Stefano by the collar and shoves him into the wall, telling him he has messed with him and his family for the last time. The scene then freezes on Victor holding Stefano against the wall with his collar as a horrified Maggie looks on and the scene then fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... 12. WEEK OF AUGUST 19, 2007 EDITION SALEM LIVES: HEAD WRITER'S STATUS REPORT!! IN THE FIRST OF A TWO PART FEATURE, WE SIT DOWN WITH PATRICK L. EWING TO GET HIS TAKE ON ALL THE HAPPENINGS ON SALEM LIVES AND WHAT IS TO COME! Interviewer (I): We last talked to you personally a year ago. How do you think Salem Lives has changed in the year since you came aboard? Patrick L. Ewing (PLE): Hopefully, the fans of the blog have liked how each and every story is character driven. Plot driven stories don't last very long. Also, everything that we do at SL is mapped out 8 months to a year and a half in advance. It makes the storytelling much easier that way because then all a writer would have to do is tweak stories instead of doing something that truly wouldn't make any sense just to shock the readers. I: How do you think Salem Lives has improved in the last year? PLE: Well, hopefully, if there was a JER-like influence at SL, that is long gone. We truly try not to do that here. Everything flows from one point to the next and, if it doesn't, my wonderful partner and I, Tim Lowery, sit down, talk it out, and come to a bonifide understanding. No egos involved now, even though I do have the tendency of getting upset if I see something I don't like. But, Tim is a very calming influence on me. (laughs) I: What have been your favorite stories since last August? Any favorite episodes or moments? PLE: "The Mob War" and "The MCF" stories are personal favorites. I love umbrella stories because you can take each character in whatever direction you want to and, in those types of stories, they don't end. They just move on into the next phase until the writers decide where to call it a day. I also liked Marie's funeral, The New Years Eve Ball, The MCF reveal, and, most recently, the shocking return of Ms. Samantha Brady. Also, the gun battle in Sydney. Another personal favorite. Bringing on Peter Bergman as Forrest Alamain, bringing back George as Orpheus, and the romances that have been played out, when they have been (laughs), are some of my favorites. I: What are your least favorite stories since last August? Any least favorite episodes or moments? PLE: Least favorite? Anything having to do with a ghost. I hate that! (laughs) I have always been a firm believer that once a character is dead, they are dead, period. We have had some things about all the people we have brought back to life but we hope that our readers understand that we just don't do it because A.) It's being done on Days Of Our Lives or B.) It's the most shocking thing we can come up with. It has to make sense and I hope that they give us that leeway to tell these types of stories. Also, I don't feel we have to tell each single story every time we write an episode. No need to write "War & Peace" or "The Greatest Story Ever Told" every single time we post an episode. (laughs) I: Do you feel the writing for Salem Lives as a whole has improved in the past year? PLE: The way we can tell if the writing has improved is by the constructive, yet very positive feedback we get on top of all the wonderful, truly inspiring people who take any time out of their busy days and come by SL to read what we have put on the blog. The stories are so much fun to tell but when someone says "You two should write for Days" - that really makes my day. I: What would you like to do in the future on Salem Lives that hasn't been done yet? PLE:There are a few things in motion that will be played out throughout the Fall season. There are things planned that DOOL hasn't done in a very long time. Characters are about to go through moments that, hopefully, will have fans on the edge of their seats. That's all I will say now. (laughs) I: In the past year, have you changed your feelings toward any particular character you wrote for? In other words, do you now hate writing for a character that you once enjoyed writing for? PLE: You know, a good writer writes for each and every character, no matter how you feel about them. If they are on your canvas, IMO, write for them. If a writer either hates writing for a character or doesn't have a place for them, those characters need to go. Not necessarily killed off but, at the very least, moved off canvas until there is such time to bring them back - with a good story. I don't like writing for a character if all she's going to do is cook dinner or have visions every single time we see her. That makes no sense. (laughs) I: Salem Lives has had a large cast for the past year, one that is being cut down a bit now. Will cutting down help and did you find writing for a large cast difficult? PLE: We're both in the process of moving people out and giving characters a rest. We will bring back certain people down the road but I hope that the readers understand that when you have a cast list over 40, there is no possible way to write for everyone effectively. It will help immensely with the storytelling because then you can focus on fewer people, which streamlines everything so much better. I: Salem Lives uses Days history an awful lot and seems to strive to be true to every character. How important do you feel history is to the writing and to Salem Lives? PLE: You know something? Ask the readers. If you look at our views and the feedback, people seem to like the fact that history pays a major part in every single story we tell. History gives the story alot of material for the present while pushing a story into the future. The stories that are being told now are proof of that in a huge way and there is more of that to come. PLE: Well, I'll answer the second question now. Nobody knew what was coming in either of those stories. It allowed us to use the entire canvas while also making the vets the focal point. Both were great successes. They were long stories to write and we're still not done. Even though we still haven't explained how a cruise ship got into the middle of Illinois (laughs) the readers seemed to really dig them. I: What are you most excited about that is upcoming on Salem Lives this Fall and beyond? Is there anything you want Salem Lives as a whole to improve on and is there anything you feel you want to personally improve on as a writer? PLE: We have said that the length needs to improve and steps will be taken to work on that. The doom and gloom will also lighten up. It doesn't mean it will become a comedy but we truly listen to the readers when they say that at times as there is way too much death, destruction and gloom on SL. That will be worked on. The rest...........just wait and see. I would also like to be interviewed more than just once a year too. (laughs) I: Any other further thoughts on Salem Lives' past, present, or future? PLE: I just want to once again thank my wonderful partner, Tim Lowery, who without giving me this opportunity to write for SL I would just be sitting on the sidelines. A true Godsend he is. A wonderful friend and colleague, who has a truly giving spirit. And, to the fans, who make this all worthwhile, from the bottom of my heart, I thank them. And be prepared. They haven't seen anything yet. COMINGS AND GOINGS COMING Finola Hughes and Christian Bale (Elizabeth and Alexander Dawson): As previously reported, this mother/son duo debuts August 24. 14. -At the Kiriakis Mansion, Victor and Maggie have finished dinner and are now dancing to some romantic instrumental music. Victor: This has been a lovely evening. Thank you so much for putting it together. Maggie: I wanted to. We've never had an evening like this to ourselves. Now that we are a couple, we can have many more of them. Victor: A couple? Never thought I would hear myself being called that with anyone again. Maggie: Well, that's what we are and I couldn't be happier. It took us so long to get to this place. We were there for each other so much in the past year from Mickey and Jennifer's death to Philip nearly dying... Victor: To your falling off the wagon twice and me putting you through hell with my plot to drive you away. I am so sorry, Maggie. Maggie: We agreed that was in the past. It's ok, Victor. Boy, so much has happened but it only served to bring us closer together. It was fate. Victor: It was something for sure. Maggie: You came into my life just as I lost Mickey and you were such a Godsend. I think he helped our relationship from beyond once he passed. He knew I would need someone and he wanted me to find love again. Victor (smiling): Perhaps my Isabella was in cahoots with him to find me happiness. Maggie (smiling): Perhaps. Victor: I'm just happy we are together after all we have been through. I want you to know...I know that Mickey... Maggie: Will always be in my heart. You told me. I will always love him but I do love you. So much. Just like a part of you will always love Caroline. I understand that. Victor: I know and thank you. Your right about that. See, Maggie, I just want us to be honest with each other and to go into this without reservation. Maggie: We are. Now, enough about the past...let's talk about the here and now. Victor: Ok. Maggie: You look so smashingly handsome tonight. Victor: Why, thank you, my lady! Maggie: So handsome...that I want to take you upstairs. Victor: Upstairs? As in... Maggie: Uh...yeah. What are you a soap writer? People over 65 are allowed to still... Victor: Yeah, I know. Are you sure, though? Maggie: I put off so much after Mickey died. I was afraid to move on and missed him so. I am ready now. We're finally together, Victor. I know it hasn't been long but we have felt strongly for each other for so long. I don't want to wait anymore. The whole cruise ship think...it taught me life is too short. We need to make the most of what we have...of the now. Let's do that. I know Mickey would want me to keep moving on and I think it's time to take this step. I'm ready and I do want to. Victor: Maggie... Maggie then grabs Victor and pulls him into a passionate kiss. Maggie: Now...let's go upstairs. Victor: You made your case and it seems I must oblige. I just hope I can... Maggie: You'll be fine. Don't worry. Maggie then holds out her hand. Victor gently takes it and they both walk upstairs. -On the island, Jack finds Billie on the beach as he returns with firewood. He walks over to her: Jack: You haven't said much the past two days. I know your upset. What's wrong? Billie: I'm fine. Just don't feel much like talking. Jack: Well, we're on an island. It gets lonely if there isn't much talking. Billie: You know....your right. I have been silent the past two days for the most part and it's because I can't talk to someone who isn't being honest with me or himself. You admitted to me on the ship that you were in love with me. I admitted the same. So, what the hell is your problem? Why do you keep pulling away from me since we found each other here? What are you afraid of? Jack: Nothing. Is that what is bothering you? The fact that I was pulling away from a kiss? Billie: Kisses and yes. You know, Jen told me that you were afraid of commitment early on with her and that you let demons from the past get in the way alot. She said you always had a tendency to feel unworthy of love due to the mistakes you made and your past. Is that happening here, Jack? Jack: Just leave it alone, Billie. Billie: No! I need to know. Are you afraid to move on? Can you not get over Jennifer? Are you just not ready? What, Jack?! Tell me. I need to know. After what you told me on the ship....after what we told each other. I need the truth. What's happening here? Jack: We just need to get home, Billie. We have to work to survive and we need to find a way to get home to our kids. That is what I am focused on. All this other stuff... Billie: What? It doesn't matter. Yes, it does. Nothing else is happening here, Jack. We only have each other. There is no way out until someone finds out and we have done all we can. We can only send up smoke signals so much. I want to get home just as much. Jack: I don't think I found enough wood for the fire. It's going to be a cool... Billie turns Jack around and grabs Jack by the face. Billie: DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE WOOD!! LOOK AT ME!! YOU SAID YOU LOVED ME. I SAID I LOVED YOU!! Billie then kisses Jack passionately and holds on so he can't pull away. Billie: This is what people in love do, Jack. They don't pull away. You didn't lie to me on the ship. You would never do that. I can see it in your eyes. You do love me. Something is just holding you back. We'll be ok. Don't worry. I was afraid before but life is too short to be afraid now. We have a good thing here. Let's ride it... Jack: I... Billie: Just feel...don't think...look at me and just feel... Jack and Billie slowly grow closer and into a kiss from which neither pulls away from. Eventually, Jack pulls away as Billie gets upset. Jack: I can't do this. We can't. It's not right. Billie: Why? Why are you doing this? Jack: Just leave it be, Billie. I have to go...walk...somewhere or something. Billie: Jack! Billie follows but Jack stops, turns, and says: Jack: I want to be left alone, please. Billie: Oh...fine. Jack turns and walks off, leaving a confused Billie behind. Billie: What is wrong with you, Jack Deveraux. Why are you afraid to love me? Why are you afraid of "us?" -Back in Salem, at the park, Abby wheels herself down a path and turns a corner. Max is standing and waiting. he turns upon hearing her arrive: Max: Glad you could make it. You didn't bring your lackey? Abby (rolls her eyes): "Fred" isn't here and was that necessary? Max: Sorry. Abby: You said in the note that you wanted to talk to me so go ahead. I want to get this over with. Max: Abby, this talk is long overdue. We have yet to talk since... Abby: Everything happened with the miscarriage? That's right. Max: As I said months ago, I screwed up. It was just the emotions of Cassie losing our child and... Abby: You chose to believe her and her faulty evidence over me, someone who belongs to a family you trust and someone you claimed to care about. Nice. Max: Look, I plan on spending the rest of my days making up for all that. I am sorry, Abby. Abby: You know, right before I was kidnapped, I was going to forgive you and try to make it all work but I had alot of time to think while being held captive and I realized that your not worth it. After what you did, I decided I'm better off without you. I can't be with someone who would believe a proven liar over me. Max: I know I was wrong...look, this isn't doing us any good. Abby: It isn't so let's just both leave. Good... Max: No! I wanted to talk about our relationship issues but I also wanted to talk about Forrest. Abby: Forrest? Max: Chelsea told me everything. Abby: Damnit! She promised! Max: She's worried about you and so am I. All of your loved ones are and most of them don't even know he is Forrest. The guy is fascinated with you and you keep encouraging him. Abby: He is a comfort to me. I've been through alot and he has helped me. He's trying to help me walk again and is also trying to find my dad and Billie, along with making some calls to help Chelsea. He's a good guy. We're not in love or anything. Max: Maybe you should look at how he looks at you. Abby: Stop! He is a man who seems to have lived a lonely life. He has been great to me and I don't know where I would be without him. I think you are just jealous he is a better man then you are or ever will be! Max: Nice. Good one. Abby: Sorry. Look... Max: No, your right. I screwed up and I deserve it. I just want you to know that I care deeply for you. What I feel for you...I'm not sure what it is other then it being strong and powerful. I can't bare to see you in pain. I think about you all the time and dream about you and...Abby, if you won't forgive me for the Cassie thing, at least listen to me. We don't know much about Forrest. He is an Alamain and you know the backstory there. I am worried about you, along with many of your loved ones, and I think you need to stop seeing Forrest or at least cutback. Abby: No! He's a friend, Max. He's harmless. The man saved my life on the ship. Max: This could all be a game or a plot or... Abby: Why? Why would he target me? I met him on the ship when Chelsea and I were brought on board as prisoners. There is no way he could've set all that up or knew I was coming... Max: Abby...I won't just sit back and watch you get hurt...or worse. I care too much about you... Abby: Just stop this!! Enough!! Max: Just believe me when I say this guy is bad news. Everyone... Abby: Now, how's it feel? You did the same thing to me with the Cassie situation, even when everyone else was on my side and now, here you are, in the same boat. Ironic? Max: Please, Abby. Abby: No! I've had enough! Good night, Max. Max: ABBY....STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!! PLEASE!! PLEASE!! Max follows Abby as she wheels away. She stops and says: Abby: Just leave me alone or I will do something to make sure you do. Abby then wheels away as Max looks on. As she wheels away, Abby thinks about what Max said and, with tears beginning to stream down her face, says: Abby: The way he described how he feels...he's in love with me. I could feel it. Max...I can't put my heart on the line again. Not for you. I just can't be hurt like that again. I just can't. Abby then wipes her tears and wheels off. Meanwhile, Max kicks around some stones and says: Max: I just know Forrest is bad news. Please, God. Let her listen to me because, if she doesn't, I shudder to think of what will happen. The scene then shifts from Max back to the island where Jack is walking around, thinking about what Billie said. he heads back to the beach and sees Billie near the fire, alone. He is about to approach her but hesitates and then walks away as Billie recalls Jack and herself admitting their feelings for each other on the ship. Billie: I'm not giving up, Jack. What's going on here is special and I feel it to strongly to just give up. I will find out what is wrong, no matter what. The scene then shifts from Billie back to Salem, where Victor and Maggie enter the bedroom. He lights some candles as she emerges in a red negligee while "My Destiny" begins to play CLICK HERE AND PLAY THIS SONG AS YOU READ THE VICTOR/MAGGIE LOVE SCENE FROM NOW UNTIL THE END OF THE EPISODE!!. Victor smiles and appears in awe of her beauty. He has no words. She slowly walks up to him and kisses him. They then move towards the bed and he slowly lays her on the bed as they passionately make love. Later on, they bask in the afterglow. Maggie and Victor turn to each other: Maggie: That was amazing! Victor: That was everything I expected and more. Maggie: I love you, Victor Kiriakis. Victor: I love you, Maggie Horton. They then kiss again and begin to make love for a second time as "My Destiny" continues to play while the scene slowly fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... 16. -Marlena sits at home and is looking through the family album. She gently turns the page to look at more pictures and focuses on a picture of Roman and herself with Sami and Eric. She wipes the tears from her eyes as she hears a door shut behind her. She turns and is stunned by what she sees. -At Bo and Hope's house, Bo has takes his tie off and sits on the couch with Hope. Hope: It's been such a long hard day. Bo: You can say that again. I just hope the family can get through it. Hope: Me too. We're strong, though. I just hope Roman doesn't go off and do something stupid. Marlena and him have enough to deal with. Bo: Well, we will all just have to help them both out. I promised I would be there for my family from now on and I meant it. I will do whatever I can to get us all through this. Hope: I know. And there's Chelsea. My God, Bo. If Stefano interfered and is sending her to some seedy psychiatric hospital, there is no telling what will... Bo (puts his arm around Hope): Abe is looking into it and will see what he can find out about the hospital. I also have some men looking into what made the DA and Judge Fitzpatrick push this. Hope: I just hope we can help her. Bo: Boy, I remember the days when you two hated each other. Hope: We've both come a long way. All of us as a whole have. Bo: Yeah. I know I would've never gotten this far without you, Fancy Face. Hope: Same here, Brady. That's what it's about, though. Through sickness and health, only to be parted through death. We both signed on for that and I meant it. That is why all those months you were a lost soul...I never gave up on you. I will always be there to fight for you...to fight for us. Bo: I know and that's why I love you so much. Without you....I shudder to think. I love you, Fancy Face. Hope: I love you too, Brady. Bo and Hope kiss and embrace. Hope: You know, it's been awhile since we sat at home and just cozied up like this. Bo: Yep. First time in years, I think. It's also been awhile since...well, you know... Hope: JT is asleep, you know? Bo (smiling): I do...so, what are you getting at? Hope (smiling): Oh, come on. You know...you just put us on the topic... Bo: Ok, maybe I do. I as just waiting for you to ask. Hope passionately kisses Bo repeatedly. Hope: Let's just go upstairs and stop all the mind games. Bo: Hmm...sounds like a plan. Bo and Hope continue to passionately kiss as he picks her up and carries her upstairs. -At Steve and Kayla's Salem Inn Suite, they are both cozied up to each other on the couch. Kayla: It's so nice to finally have a chance to just sit, relax, and hold each other. Steve: Yep. We've only waited 17 years. Kayla: Ha ha. It was so nice of Stephanie to stay at the Pub. Steve: That's my little Sweetness. Trying to give her mommy and daddy some alone time. Kayla (gets up and turns around): And what do you think we will be doing with this alone time? Steve: Something we haven't done in 17 years? Steve shows a devilish grin. Kayla: Well, I guess it has been awhile. Steve: And you weren't with another man. Damn, it's been awhile for you? I guess I should be flattered you think so much of the Patch man. I must be really good if you didn't seek action from elsewhere. Kayla: Stroke your ego all you want but all that had more to do with me loving who you are and not what you are in the bedroom. Steve: I guess I'll take it. Anyway....what are we doing? Kayla grabs Steve and kisses him. Kayla: Answer your question? Steve: Alot more aggressive then you used to be. Kayla: well, it has been a long time, as you so eloquently noted. Steve: Well, then...let's not keep you waiting any longer, gorgeous. Let's fulfill those pent up desires of yours. Kayla: Amen... Steve and Kayla passionately kiss and, eventually get up, and make their way to the bedroom. -Shane is with Kimberly in her room at the Salem Inn. He brings her some more tea. Kim: You know, I have gotten quite used to this place. It's nice that I don't have to intrude on mom at the Pub. Shane: I'm sure she would love having you around. Kim: Yeah but I was never sure how long I would be staying in Salem. I never thought it would turn out to be 8 months. Shane: Yeah. I never antipated staying a full year but... Kim: Now you must go. Tomorrow... Shane: I know we have to talk about this but I don't know... Kim: If you can? Either do I. God, Shane. I think it was fate that brought us both back here. With everything you went through with the Carrie situation and with everything your still going through...and my situation with my family and what I did to Bo... Shane: It's all in the past. Your family and Bo forgave you. Kim: Yeah but I still feel horrible. Always will. Not to mention, it was a rough go of it for me and my family for months. We got through it but I, personally, could've never got through it without you. You were my rock. You always were. Shane: We go back a long ways. Kim: Sure do and, like I said, this happened for a reason. It brought us back together. I know I moved in with you in London but what we went through here...it bonded us. Shane: The bond was always there, Kim. We just got out of touch with it and each other along the way. Kim: And now it's all clicked again. The feelings, the emotions... Shane: Wait, Kim...what are you saying? This talk of feelings and... Kim: You know what I am saying, Shane. Your leaving tomorrow and I am not going to beat around the bush and make this some long, drawn out confession. We both know what's happening here. We both have known and felt it for some time. We're still in love. Shane: You certainly don't beat around the bush, do you? Kim: We have always loved each other, Shane. We always will. That's why our other relationships never worked. That's why we found ourselves drawn back together in this past year. Shane: Your right...I do still love you. I never stopped. I just didn't want to make things uncomfortable with you and the kids and all. Kim: Same here but we can't hide it anymore. We both know it's there between us and can't ignore it. Shane: So, what now? I'm leaving tomorrow. Kim: I know. Shane: It's too bad we didn't realize sooner or... Kim: Well, such is life. There is one thing we can do. Shane: And that is? Kim: I could come with you. Yeah...I am going back to London with you. I mean, I was loving with you and the kids before so I should go back with you. What's left for me here? It's time to go back. Shane: That may be true but I have ISA issues to deal with and... Kim: Yeah, yeah, yeah...bend down and get near my face so you can hear me. Shane: What? Kim: Just do it. Shane bends down to Kim's wheelchair and gets close to hear her. She then grabs his face and kisses him. Kim: Can't argue with that, can you? Shane: Uh... Kim kisses Shane again and passion ignites. Shane then pulls away. Shane: What are we doing? Kim: Just go with it. Don't fight it. We both said we wouldn't fight it anymore. Shane: But...your... Kim: Wheelchair...paralysis...if you think that is going to stop me, allow me to prove you wrong. Kim kisses Shane again and this time there is no stopped. Kim: Take me, Shane. I love you...I love you so much! Shane: I love you too. Are you sure? Kim: Yeah. It's been far too long. It's...our destiny Shane then picks Kim out of her wheelchair and takes her into the bedroom as they continue to kiss passionately. -Back at Roman and Marlena's, Roman puts his holsters and guns on the table. Marlena: I wasn't expecting you to come home tonight. The way you left... Roman: I don't like how we left things. I went out there and I couldn't stop thinking about the fight we had. We've been doing alot of that lately and it's wrong, especially today. We just buried...(Roman becomes overcome with emotion) Marlena: Our sweet, beautiful twins. I know. Roman (with tears in his eyes): I just want to avenge them. I just want... Marlena: Enough of that. Look at me. You just need to let it all out. You are trying to be strong and keep everything insider. You can keep internalizing, Roman. This whole quest for revenge is your cover for all the hurt you feel. All that pain and agony...just sit here with me. Let me and the family help you. If not them, just me. You need to just let it out. We can cry together. One emotional breakdown like you had with me last night is not enough. Talk to me, cry with me, mourn with me...just don't back away from the family...from me. Not now. My God, not now. Roman (crying): I'm so sorry, doc!!! I'm so sorry! God, our children! Our Eric! Our Sami! Damnit, doc!! Why them both?! Why? Damnit...why?! Marlena embraces Roman and comforts him in her arms as she begins to cry. Marlena: I don't know. I just don't know. Roman: Your right, doc. I do need you. I can't...get through this without you. The hurt...my God. Marlena: I know...and I need you. Let's be there for each other, like we should be. Roman: I need you more then ever, doc. I need your touch...your arms around me...I just need you. Roman and Marlena hold each other in each other's arms as they both cry for their children. They then pull away from each other and look into each other's eyes. Roman: Doc, I need to... Marlena: I know. It's been so long. Roman: I need to feel close to you. I just... Marlena (moving in close to Roman): I know. I know... Marlena then continues to slowly move in and kisses Roman. They continue to kiss passionately as one thing leads to another and he picks her up and takes her upstairs to their room. The scene then shifts to Alice, who is in the Horton living room, looking into her photo album. She turns to the next page that has pictures of Bo and Hope, Roman and Marlena, Kim and Shane, Steve and Kayla, and even Jack and Jennifer. She looks at the page as her eyes fill with tears. Alice: On days like this, the memories are so comforting. So much pain in Salem... (looking up to the heavens) Tom, you and all of our beloved up there need to look after all of us. Roman, Marlena, the rest of the Brady clan, all of us...we all can use all the help we can get. Now more then ever. Alice puts her hand on Jack and Jennifer's wedding picture. Alice: Such a beautiful day. Watch over your children and your Jack, Jennifer Rose. Wow...so many memories...all of these beautiful couples...my have some things changed yet, in many ways, they have also stayed the same. Faith, hope, love, destiny...simple. That's all it is and all it ever takes. A supercouple montage then plays=SUPERCOUPLE MONTAGE-CLICK HERE!!!. As the montage ends, we see the scene shift between Bo and Hope, Roman and Marlena, Steve and Kayla, and Kim and Shane all making love. The scene then shifts to Alice, as she closes her photo album and says: Alice: Love, magic, destiny...you just have to believe. Alice then looks up to the heavens. Alice: Right, my Tom? Alice then smiles as she turns and looks at a picture of Tom and herself that is on her coffee table next to her as the scene freezes on the picture of her and Tom and then fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... THE RETURN OF ROMANCE CONTINUES AS MAX MAKES THE DEPTH OF FEELINGS FOR ABBY CLEAR AND JACK/BILLIE AND VICTOR/MAGGIE SHARE HUGE DEFINING MOMENTS IN THEIR RELATIONSHIPS!!!
  17. -Cal walks into Ernesto’s huge mansion. Staff members of the house greet him at the door, with one of them calling him sir and welcoming him to the Toscano Estate. Cal stands and looks at the smiling yet nervous group and tells them that it’s good to be home. The executive-in-charge of the mansion asks him if there was anything that he wanted or needed. Cal stumbles over his words, saying that he is fine and that everyone can go back to doing what they were doing. The group splits up and everyone goes back to work as Cal walks into the huge living room. He looks around in awe, telling the executive that he didn’t even know that Ernesto even had a mansion in Salem. The executive tells him that Ernesto bought it and refurbished it a year ago, just so he could be near Cal. Cal is taken aback by this but is also impressed. He walks around looking at furnishings, paintings from the mid-to-late 19th Century, artwork from as far away as Japan and Greece and, sitting in a leather folder on a classic end table, a wine list second to none. He turns to the executive assistant and asks...... Cal: Where did he get all of this? E.A.: From all over the world. Truthfully, he was traveling........looking for you. He would pick these items up, having spent a tremendous amount of money for them, as you can see, because the Master always said that you and him had the exact same taste. Cal: Look........I spent the last ten years drinking a cold beer and walking around my apartment with no shoes on. This is all........new to me. E.A.: (Laughing) The Master thought it might be. We often had many wonderful talks about how you would react if you had seen all of this, being the man you are now. Cal: Ernesto talked of me a lot? E.A.: Yes. Often. He called you.........let me get it right.........”The future of the Toscano Family”. Cal: Oh. I see. (Looking around) Well, are you going to take me on a guided tour? E.A.: Oh, yes sir. But.........let me also introduce you to.........someone who knows you quite well. At that moment, a very beautiful and muscular woman walks into the living room. She is dressed in black leather from head to toe and, when she sees Cal, she slowly takes off the jet black shades she was wearing and looks at him, saying..... Angelica Steel (Salem Lives Recurring Player Denise Masino): Well, about time I saw you up close and personal. Cal looks at the E.A. and asks....... Cal: And she is? E.A.: Your.............assistant. More or less your bodyguard, sir. Cal looks back at Angelica and all he can say is...... Cal: Damn. Nice to meet you. Angelica: Likewise, sir. Angelica slowly walks up to Cal, gently takes his hand, and stares into his eyes, telling him that it will be a pleasure guarding his body. Cal is stunned, saying that he hopes she has a good time doing it. Angelica tells him she’s sure she will. At that moment, Katherine walks into the room, having been let in by one of the staff. Cal walks over to her, saying that he got the first of Ernesto’s things and wanted to check out the house for himself. Katherine looks around and then fixes her eyes on Angelica, saying that everyone is entitled to have some secrets. Angelica introduces herself to Katherine, as does the executive assistant, and both of them leave Cal and Katherine alone in the living room. Cal walks around, telling Katherine how nice the place is. But, he asks Katherine, what did she mean by that "secrets" remark? Katherine says that it was nothing at all. She was just marveling at his newest associate. Cal laughs, saying that Angelica is just there to help. Cal also says that it’s more than the help he’s gotten from the Bradys. Katherine tells him that the time of blaming them for what he’s went through must pass but Cal says that's easy for her to say. She hasn’t lost her identity. Katherine says no matter what he’s lost, he still has her, and always will. He knows that and pulls her close for an embrace. He tells her that she has made his life the best it’s been since all of this Roman stuff and the War has been going on. He tells her that he appreciates that more than anything, no matter how anyone else feels. He kisses her on her cheek and then on her lips. Katherine returns the kiss and then says she has to go back to the suite. Cal says he’ll stick around and find out just how big that house is and will see her later. They kiss each other goodbye and she leaves. But right after she closes the front door, she says to herself.... Katherine: I wonder how he’ll feel when he finds out my little secret? She glances back at the door and walks away. -At the Kiriakis Mansion, Maggie is very busy preparing a special dinner for her and Victor that she volunteered to cook for him. She has been rushing him out of the kitchen for hours and he is starting to get a little cranky, being hungry and not being able to eat anything. Maggie says she hasn’t cooked like this for a man since........and both of them get quiet. Victor tells her it’s ok. He knows that Mickey was the love of her life and knows that he can’t compete with that, nor does he want to. Maggie appreciates that but wants him to know just how much she truly loves and adores him. He feels exactly the same about her. They kiss and she hurries him off again. He tells her he thought the kiss would work but he guesses he’s still out of luck. They both laugh as he leaves Maggie to finish dinner. Victor walks out into the study and sees Nico standing in there. He walks in and closes the door, locking it behind him. He asks Nico if all their people are still watching both Stefano and Orpheus. Nico says yes and also says that their people are watching them as well. Victor remarks that it sounds like the title of one of his favorite books.........."Whose Watching The Watchers?" Nico asks when will they start putting all of their people in place. Victor tells him that men and women are being positioned as they speak. Victor picks up a pool stick and starts a game of pool. Nico picks up the other stick and joins in. Victor remarks how playing pool has always cleared his mind. Nico smiles. Victor asks Nico if Bo has been in contact with that person they were discussing and Nico tells him yes. Not only is this person keeping an eye on Roman and Marlena, he’s watching Stefano as well. Victor remarks that’s why he’s the best at what he does. Nico then receives a phone call. Victor looks at him and, after Nico hangs up, he informs Victor that someone blew up Orpheus’s high rise apartment. Victor smiles, wondering who may have done that. Nico looks at him and asks him if he already knows. Victor says that the first thing he ever taught Nico...........was to trust your instincts. He then tells Nico............ Victor: (Playing Pool) This is not the first time I’ve been through something like this. I still remember the battles the Corleones had back in the day. Nico: So..........you knew of that family? Victor: Who didn’t? But now, Stefano seems to have forgotten what it is to be loyal. Loyal to the family and your brothers above all else. About time someone taught him a lesson. Nico: And Orpheus, sir? Victor: Orpheus. Nico, my friend...............there are plans in motion that will one day make Orpheus a distant memory. He wanted to play with the big boys. Well..........time for him to get squashed. Victor sinks the 6 ball into the corner pocket as Nico watches on. He then instructs Nico.......... Victor: Make sure that my son is well protected. Nico: Philip? Victor: No. Bo. Nico: What about Philip? Victor: What about him? He acts like a spoiled brat. I knew he never would have the stomach for this battle and he’s proven me right. Bo? Bo has shown me a lot the last year or so. Nico: And what is that, sir? Victor: That family means more to him than anything. He will certainly have to prove that in the coming months. Nico: You expect this whole war to get worse? Victor: Nico, let me tell you something.............. You haven’t SEEN bad yet. But it’s coming................ At that moment, Maggie walks up and knocks on the study door. Victor hands his pool stick to Nico as he goes and opens the door. Victor has a huge smile on his face as Maggie announces that dinner is ready. Victor looks back at Nico and then follows Maggie into the dining room, arm in arm. Nico then takes out his phone and makes a phone call, telling the person on the other end........... Nico: Well, everything’s in motion. Time to go to the next level. Nico hangs up his cell as a very determined look crosses his face. -At the Brady home, Marlena comes downstairs to see Roman placing guns into both of his holsters. She walks over to him and asks him........ Marlena: Roman? What is going on? Roman: Well, let’s see..........I’m loading my holsters? Marlena: You know what I mean. You quit the force. Roman: Oh, so I guess that should stop me from protecting my family? Marlena: What the hell is wrong with you?! Ever since Sami and Eric’s death, you’re acting like nothing matters but finding Orpheus and making him pay. Roman: And what the hell is wrong with that?! He kills our kids and I’m supposed to be the same noble !@#$%^&*] I’ve always been, huh? "Let the law take care of it.” Marlena, that’s bullshit, and you know it. Marlena: I’ve never heard you speak this way. Roman: Well, my dear (Picking up another handgun) Things are about to change around here. I made Orpheus a promise.......... And I keep my damn promises! Roman storms out the door and Marlena follows after him. She tries to catch him but he jumps into his car, backs out of the driveway very quickly, and slams the accelerator to the floor, flying down the street. Marlena looks on worried and hopes Roman will not do something that will haunt him. What she doesn’t notice though.........is the black Porsche that drives slowly down the street. -At Sami's apartment, Will sits on the couch, watching TV. He looks at the watch and wonders where his father is. He looks at a picture of Sami and asks his mother to watch over dad and to help them both through this, Meanwhile, at the Cheatin Heart, Lucas has a drink sitting right in front of him. He stares at it and can't stop thinking about how Sami wouldn't want him to drink but he is hurting so much. He thinks about calling Maggie but opts not to bother her. The bartender asks if something is wrong as his whiskey has been sitting there at the bar for almost a half hour. Lucas looks at the glass, takes it, and downs the whole drink. He then asks the bartender to him him again and keep it coming. He needs to stop the memories...the hurt...the pain. The bartender brings him another glass and Lucas begins to down that, raising his glass and saying: Lucas: To Sami...may you rest in peace. Lucas then finished his second and asks the bartender to bring him another and reminds him to keep them coming. -In the bedroom of Orpheus’s palatial apartment, Sami gets up out of bed, turns on the television, and walks over to the dresser. She sees pictures of her family sitting there..........Marlena & Roman, Lucas and Will, and Carrie with Evan. She also sees pictures of Jonathan and Chloe and Belle and Claire. Orpheus walks in and asks her........... Orpheus: Well, looking at the family? Sami: You know, you are one crazy !@#$%^&*], you know that? Orpheus: Temper, temper, my sweet flower. I guess you get that from your father. Sami: I get that from both my parents. And when my dad finds out what you’ve done...... Orpheus: Is he going to make me pay? Hmmmm? Is he going to........get revenge on his enemy? Please. Keep that crap talk to yourself. I’m so tired of hearing it. Sami: Wonder how tired you were of it when my father blew up your high rise apartment? Orpheus: You know about that? Sami: Tell your henchmen to stop talking so damn much around my bedroom. Orpheus: I definitely will, young lady. I also tell them when it will be a good time to carry out more punishment for that jackass father of yours.........and your whole wretched family. Sami: Oh. There’s more on the way? Orpheus: Oh, my dear. I’ve just gotten started. No need to go into details just yet. You’ll be spending a lot of time with me........so that we can get........better acquainted. Orpheus tries to kiss Sami but gets a very hard slap across his face. Orpheus holds his jaw as Sami tells him..... Sami: Get one of your henchmen to take care of all that horniness. You’re not getting anything here.......not willingly, anyway. Orpheus: No need, my dear. I didn’t do that to your mother when I held her captive. No need to do it to you. All you need to remember is that when all is said and done.............Roman Brady will have only one place to rest. In his grave. Sami: Don’t do that, Orpheus. Orpheus: What? Kill your father? Sami: No.................underestimate him. I’ve seen him upset and mad. Hell, I’ve even seen him angry. But, I can bet you he left pissed off about 1,000 miles back and that’s what he is now. And I can also tell you this.......... NO ONE has EVER seen Roman Brady like that. So.........watch your step. It just may be your last. Orpheus rubs his chin as he walks to the door. He takes one last look at Sami before heading out. Sami smiles, knowing that she just played this first round very well. She learned from her parents. And now, as Orpheus stands outside her bedroom door, he calls one of his men over, instructing him to.......... Orpheus: Make sure all of our buildings are secure. Roman found out where my secret apartment is. He can find anything he wants to. His henchman obeys and runs off. Orpheus stands there, thinking to himself that he truly hopes he didn’t make the ultimate mistake...... And push Roman Brady too far. The scene freeze frames on his face as it slowly fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... THE ROMANCE IS BACK!! DON'T MISS THIS SPECIAL SUPERCOUPLE EPISODE!!!
  18. -Lucas is walking the quiet streets of Salem and is reminiscing about Sami. He looks up to the heavens and wonders what he is going to do without her. Will comes up from behind, puts his hand on his dad's shoulder, and says he wonders the same. Will tells Lucas they will get through this together. Lucas tells Will he is supposed to be comforting him, not the other way around. Lucas considers himself already a failure. Will tells his father that's not true but Lucas won't hear otherwise. Lucas orders Will to go home. A worried Will asks where he is going. Lucas tells Will again, only this time in an angry tone, to go home and not to follow him. Lucas walks off as Will gives chase but soon sees that his father has disappeared down an alley. Will worries about what his father might do in the state he is in. -Back at the Pub, Doug and Julie are still locked in the supply closet, screaming for help. Julie tells Doug it's no use. No one is going to hear them so they may as well save their breath for the moment. Doug tells Julie no one will ever hear them if they do that. Someone could miss them. Julie tells Doug to show some patience. Doug says he has to do something. Julie asks him what he is so afraid of. Doug denies being afraid of anything. Julie accuses Doug of lying and says she thinks he is afraid of showing he still loves her and being with her long enough will cause him to open his heart to her again. Doug is silent and then turns away to continue to pound and scream for help. Julie watches and smiles, realizing there may be hope afterall for her marriage. The scene then shifts to the Pub itself where everyone is focused on the apparently drunk Nicole. Victor begs Nicole to come with him outside. Nicole throws his arm off her and says she will not do that. She has been tossed around enough. Nicole (with tears in her eyes): I couldn't even go to my own husband's funeral. You had security keep me out. That is appalling and I will never forget that. Eric is probably turning over in his grave! Carrie (holding Evan): I doubt it. After all you did...your responsible for his death and Austin's. My God, you assisted Orpheus for months and kept my baby for me. Eric could care less about you. Nicole: Like your innocent, Carrie! You and Kate were in this too, not to mention the countless other Salemites that were blackmailed and forced into helping Orpheus so get off your high horse! You Brady's always think your perfect even though you screw up just as much as people like me. Bunch of damn hypocrites! Look at you all!! Alice Horton...Caroline Brady...supposed to be the two most loving women in Salem and you stand by and say nothing about me being kept from my husband's funeral. That's rich! Roman: Cool it, Nicole!! Alice: I didn't exactly like the idea, Nicole. Caroline: Alice is right. We just didn't want any tension or trouble and, given your involvement with Orpheus and... Nicole: Excuses....excuses. You all are going to pay! Eric and Austin both told me when they died they had hope for me. They wanted me to choose the right path but that's bull. Being good gets you nowhere. Hope: Neither does being bad. Look what happened when you worked with Orpheus/ Nicole: Mistakes happen. Whatever the case, I will make all of you pay, especially the Brady's. You never accepted me. Never. Even last Fall when I was trying to be a good person, you still looked at me like someone you despise. I am through trying to change for you all...trying to impress you all. Now, I just want to make you experience hell on earth. I was hurt enough before today but this...my suffering will be nothing compared to what I will bring upon you. Victor tells Nicole that's enough. Nico and Bo then take her out by arm and tell her she has said enough. They throw her out of the Pub and warn her that she will be arrested if she enters again. Nicole smiles and says she did what she had to do. She tells Bo and Nico to tell everyone insider they have been warned. Hope overhears this as a pleased Nicole leaves. Hope asks Bo if they should all be afraid. Bo says she is nothing and that they have bigger issues. Victor warns them not to underestimate Nicole. Inside, everyone tries to forget about Nicole and to get the party back on track. Carrie and Mike meet at the bar. She tells him they finally have a chance to catch up and asks how he has been. Mike says he has been busy. Jeremy is in med school and nearly finished and Robin is starting a clinic for needy families with which he helps her with, along with working at a local hospital. Mike says they need help promoting the clinic to outer areas and getting funding or it but they still hope to get it off the ground once they find someone to do PR for them and help them find business to fund the clinic. Carrie smiles and says somethings never change. Carrie tells Mike that with Austin gone she feels like her life has no meaning other then Evan. Mike reminds her about her family. Carrie says she knows that but she needs something to dive into with Austin gone. It's going to take her a long time to move on to a point where she even enjoys life again. Mike tells Carrie it will all work itself out, eventually. He looks at his watch and tells Carrie he lost track of time and must get going. He has a plane to catch. Carrie tells him to come back for a longer visit next time so they can catch up some more. Mike says he would like that. Carrie smiles and says she is glad they can still be friends. Mike agrees and embraces her. They then bid each other goodbye. Meanwhile, Victor looks around and notices Stefano left. Nico says he left shortly after the Nicole debacle. Victor notices Philip has left as well and then turns to Bo and tells him he will do whatever he can to help Chelsea. Steve agrees to do the same, along with Kayla. Abby, Forrest, Max, Frankie, Greta, Roman, Marlena, Caroline, Shane, and Kim also pledge their help. Bo thanks them and says he is going to have the court appointed psychiatric hospital looked into. Abe tells Bo he will head back to the station to work on that. Bo thanks him. Abe tells Celeste he will take her home as they say their goodbyes and leave while Cal witnesses the closeness of everyone and how he is once again not a part of any Brady family happenings. He tells himself he has had enough and leaves. Katherine sees him and quietly follows him out of the Pub, not wanting them to be noticed. Victor tells Bo and Hope he is very suspicious of Stefano and wonders if he had something to do with what happened to Chelsea. Bo says it's right up Stefano's alley. Hope worries about the hospital Chelsea is being sent to if Stefano is involved. Victor tells Nico to use their underground connections to see what he can find out. Nico nods and says he will call him with updates. Nico leaves. Forrest tells Abby that he will do what he can to help Chelsea by way of his contacts. Abby thanks him but says he doesn't have to do anything. Forrest insists and then gets a phone call. Max is with Stephanie nearby and is watching Forrest and Abby. Stephanie asks Max what he meant before by Abby being in danger and "Fred" being trouble. Max says it's not the time and place to talk about this. He says he has to talk to Abby alone but wonders how he can do it. He then comes up with an idea and tells Stephanie they will catch up later. Forrest returns to Abby and tells her he just got off the phone with a specialist from Paris. He knows of a surgery that can help her walk again. He is making arrangements now to fly into Salem. Abby is shocked and overjoyed. She embraces Forrest and thanks him for everything. He is her guardian angel. Forrest wishes he could find her father too and help Chelsea, promising that he will try. Abby says he has done enough. She also asks that he not tell anyone about the specialist out of fear of raising everyone's hopes. He agrees. Meanwhile, Max sneaks behind Forrest and Abby while they are facing the other way and slips a note into the back of Abby's wheelchair. The scene then shifts back to Abby, who is asked by Forrest if she is ready to go now that so many are leaving. Abby says he read her mind as she just told her grandmother she was heading home. Forrest says he will bring the car around. He leaves. Abby reaches in the back of her wheelchair for something and finds the note Max left. She opens it and reads it. It asks her to meet him at the gazebo at the park in two hours and says that it's important they talk. Abby has a moment of contemplation and says that maybe it's time her and Max did talk. Meanwhile, Kim wheels over to Shane and notices him on the phone. Shane hangs up and Kim asks what is wrong, other then that fact that Andrew and Jeannie just left to go back to London. Shane says that was the ISA and he will be heading back there too...TOMORROW!!! He was allowed to stay for the funerals but must leave for London tomorrow. He has no choice. The door then opens and it's a Brady Pub waitress. She asks how long they have been locked in there. Doug looks at Julie coldly and says it's been long enough. He walks out and away from her. Julie gives chase, begging him to wait. Maggie and Alice hear them coming and watch Doug walk right past them and out the door. Hope tries to stop him but he tells her he is fine. He just needs to be alone. Hope watches Doug leave and turns to Julie. She orders Julie to just leave it alone and to give her father time and space. Julie wipes away tears and apologizes. She just loves him so much. Hope says she knows but she hurt him and it's going to take time for him and other, including herself, to forgive her. Julie understands. Hope goes back to Bo. Maggie says the whole supply closet thing was her idea and apologizes. Julie tells her not to apologize. She now knows there is hope. She saw it in Doug's eyes. He still loves her and he just needs time to heal. He'll come back to her. She just knows it. Maggie smiles and tells her that's the spirit. They embrace as Alice watches, smiling. The scene then shifts to the Cheatin Heart, where Lucas has just sat down at the bar. The bartender asks what he would like. Lucas thinks about what Sami would want him to do but he is in so much pain. The bartender asks again as Lucas is silent and tells the bartender to come back to him. Meanwhile, Will goes home and waits at the apartment. He looks at a picture of himself and his parents and tells himself it will never be the same. Life as they all know it...is over. The scene then freezes on the picture of Sami, Lucas, and Will and then fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... She yells out for someone to please help her. Orpheus puts his hand over her mouth and tells her to behave or he will have to give her some more "medicine." Hope asks why and how they can do that. Bo has no idea. Victor looks at Stefano, who looks back coldly at him. Abby is devastated as Forrest promises her he will help in any way he can and that it will be alright. Steve seems very upset and Kayla asks if he is alright. Steve smiles and says he just feels horrible for Chelsea. Hope asks Bo what they can do. Bo embraces her, saying he doesn't know. Meanwhile, Don comes over to Julie and asks if she would help him with something for Caroline out back. Julie asks why he needs her. Don says she will realize why when she follows him. Julie agrees and leaves with Don. At the same time, Bill asks Doug if he could help him with something out back for Caroline. Doug wonders why he is needed but Bill asks him to just follow and it will become clear. Doug agrees. Doug and Bill arrive out in the back hall leading outside. They see Don and Doug asks what they need to do. Don then pushes Doug into a supply closet and closes the door behind him, locking it. Doug screams to be let out and a voice then tells him not to bother. They have been set up. Julie comes up behind Doug, who is shocked to see her. -At the bar, Lucas is having a drink when Bill passes by, saying he is grateful it's not alcohol. Lucas says Sami would want him to stay sober, for Will's sake. Bill agrees. He tells Lucas he is happy to have come for a visit yet again because it gives him a chance to see him. Lucas smiles and tells his father thank you for coming back to support him. They embrace, as Bill tells him anytime. Kate then comes over, with Will behind her. Will is begging Kate to just leave his dad alone. Kate says she has a right to comfort her own son and grandson. Bill warns Kate to back off right now but she won't listen. Kate tells Lucas she knows he is upset with her and has been for some time. However, she is still his mother and she knows he needs her. Lucas looks at her and says he doesn't need this. He then gets up, walks away, and leaves the Pub. A angry Will sarcastically thanks Kate for making things worse. Will walks off, leaving a frustrated Kate behind, who asks Bill what she did wrong. Bill simply shakes his head. Just then, Nicole bursts in, yelling for them all to look at her. Everyone in the Pub focuses their eyes on her. They notice she is drunk. Victor approaches Nicole and tells her not to do this. Nicole tells Victor to get the hell away from her. Nicole: I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore!! Do you all hear me? 22. WEEK OF AUGUST 13, 2007 EDITION SAMI'S ALIVE!!! SALEM LIVES fans were stunned on July 20 when Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) was killed off in an explosion set by the notorious Orpheus (George Dehoyo). Well, fans who were upset can come on back because the former schemer turned heroine is back and not going anywhere!!! "It was planned," says Ep/HW Tim Lowery. "Credit goes to my co-EP/HW Patrick L. Ewing for this. He came up with this months ago and we went with it. Ali has worked alot so she needed time off and she is doing The Biggest Loser so it worked out on both ends. We needed to do this to set up story and also to put Lucas in his onw story for once. Lucas has always been the side piece to Sami, who is the main course most of the time. With what we are doing now, we are working on Lucas as his own person and defining him. Sami will be involved but this is more about Lucas this time, something we feel must be done. Fans can rest easy knowing Ali is here to stay." In regards to the press release about the character of Sami appearing as a ghost/vision, Lowery says it was part of the game. "I had been saying we were going through massive cast cuts and fans had already seen so many deaths and cuts," says Lowery."So, we chose to do this in the middle of the cuts because people would buy it and posting the news about her continuing on as a ghost/vision was designed to feed into the belief she was gone. We would never bring her back in that form. If she's dead, she's dead. We just wanted the fans to buy it but also threw out hints. The fact that a body was never found was a hint and the fact that we didn't even consider removing her from the cast list was another." Nonetheless, Lowery promises more shocks ahead. "Everyone knows about the next wave of cuts so we have that and many more shocks on the way. Summer may be ending but we are going into Fall with a bang!!" COMING AND GOING GOING Funeral Guests (Various Actors and Actresses): As previously reported, with the exception of Shayna Rose (Stephanie), all the funeral guests that returned to Salem to mourn Eric (Jensen Ackles) and Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) will end their runs on August 14. Their last airdate will be August 22. Christie Clark (Carrie Brady-Reed): As reported two weeks ago, Clark is out. She will last air on August 28. Josh Taylor and Terri Garber (Cal and Katherine Winters): As previously reported, the onscreen duo is out. They will last air on August 29. 23. -As the funeral precession makes its way to the church, Roman looks out his window and sees that the entire cadet class and most of the police force are standing and saluting both Samantha and Eric as they drive by. He gently waves at everyone, while fighting back tears. Roman looks at Marlena and his siblings look at him, as he can’t help but blame himself for everything that has happened. Bo looks at Roman and asks.... Bo: What’s up, bro? Roman: It’s......it’s all my fault. I could have stopped all of this from happening and I didn’t. Too damn high and mighty, I guess. Bo: I wouldn’t say that...... Roman: Well, I would. Kayla chimes in, telling Roman..... Kayla: You can’t blame yourself for how sick of a bastard Orpheus is. Roman: I think I can, sis. That man still blames me for what happened to his wife and said he would make me suffer for it. And.......what are we doing right now? On our way to bury our twins. Hope: I just hope that you don’t do something rash. The bloodshed in Salem needs to stop. Roman slowly turns his head and looks at Hope. He is very determined when he says to her.... Roman: Whatever happens..........will be worth everything we’re going through now. Hope looks at Bo, who is looking at Roman, and wonders what is to come down the road. As the procession pulls up to the church, everyone parks their cars and starts to get out. Marlena is helped out by Roman and Bo and, when she steps out of the car and looks up.......she sees the face of her father, Frank. She jumps into his arms and cries out loud as Frank holds her tightly. Marlena rests her head on his shoulder as Frank shakes Roman’s hand. Frank tells Roman how very sorry he and Martha are about the children. Roman shakes his head and is shortly greeted by Martha, who gives him a big hug. Martha tells Roman that if he needs anything, just to let them know. He thanks her for that but tells her that everything will be taken care of in due course. He then slowly walks away from the group as Martha looks at Marlena and Marlena wipes the tears from her eyes, shaking her head. Martha kisses her on her cheek as Frank and her help Marlena walk towards the church. Frank tells her that she has someone who has been waiting to see her. When Marlena looks up, she sees Rex Dimera standing at the entrance to the church. Rex walks over and they both embrace warmly. Rex looks at her and wipes the tears from her eyes, saying that he couldn’t stay away at a time like this. Marlena thanks him for coming. Rex tells her that Samantha and Eric were his brother and sister. He had to be here for his family. Roman, Bo and Hope walk over and welcome Rex home. Roman and Rex hug and Rex tells him it’s real good to see him. Roman tells him likewise and says that he needs all of the family he can spare right now. Rex asks if he knows who did it, to which Roman replies yes, he does. Roman then pats Rex on the back and tells him..... Roman: All in good time, kid. Roman then sees Alice and the other Horton's and leaves to greet them as Rex looks at his family and wonders what has happened to his stepfather. Roman greets Alice and kisses her on the cheek. He then sees Lucas and Will and walks over to hug Lucas. Lucas embraces Roman and Roman then hugs Will as well. Roman tells Lucas that he can’t begin to tell him how sorry he is for Samantha’s death. Lucas thanks him but tells Roman that she was his and Marlena’s daughter before she was his lady. Roman reminds him that he knows how it feels to lose his lady. Lucas understands and tells Roman that he isn’t to blame for the sick bastards like Orpheus who kill without reason. Three men walk up to the group, with one of them saying that they agree with this wholeheartedly. Roman actually manages to smile slightly as he greets Don Craig, Mike Horton, and Bill Horton. Both Lucas and Roman shake hands and give out hugs. Don says he didn’t think he would be back so soon after Marie’s funeral and Mike says how he’s been reading in the papers and seeing on CNN and MSNBC about all the violence and........death........that has been happening. Marlena walks over with Frank and Martha and asks if the news has reached that far away. The men, one by one, hug Marlena and kiss her on her cheek, telling her how sorry they are about what happened. And Mike answers her question, saying that when you throw Orpheus into the middle of Victor and Stefano, that it makes news. Don agrees, saying that he hopes Roman and the S.P.D. can get a hold of all of this and end it soon before more lives are lost. Roman looks cryptically at Don, saying that that is just what he intends to do. The group looks at each other silently, wondering if they were all thinking the same thing. At that moment, Father Jansen stands at the door and tells everyone that it is time to start. Marlena looks at Roman and he hugs her gently. Roman then starts to walk over to the hearses as Bo, Steve, Lucas, Will, Don, Mike, and Frank follow him. When they get to Samantha’s hearse, they are joined by Jonathan, who gives his dad a big hug and shakes his hand. Rex and Andrew Donovan join the group as they split up and a small group of men start to unload both caskets from their respective hearse. As the men take both caskets and head toward the church, a black limousine drives slowly down the street. The car stops and the window slowly rolls down. At that moment, a black Porsche drives down the opposite end of the street and stops next to the first black car. The passenger window of the Porsche rolls down, revealing a man sitting in the driver’s seat SALEM LIVES NEWCOMER. He slowly takes off his jet black shades and looks at the men in the first car. The men look at each other, then back at him, then nod their heads in frightened silence, roll the window back up, and drive off. The man in the black Porsche then rolls down his driver’s side window, looks at the mourners standing in front of the church, rolls his window back up, and drives off. Everyone looks at each other and then, after some tense moments, the men start to once again carry Samantha and Eric’s caskets into the church. As the men reach the steps of the church, Marlena stands right behind the caskets carrying her twins and she looks around the packed church. She sees that Stephanie has made it back to Salem for the funeral, as has Chloe and Jeannie Donovan. The men slowly carry the caskets to the head of the church as members of Salem’s constabulary have came out as one, as well as members of the community. The men sit both caskets down, one next to a huge picture of Samantha and the other next to Eric’s picture. The men then slowly take their places as the congregation sits down and Father Jansen walks over to the podium..... Fr. Jansen: Welcome to everyone, one and all. Today, we do not say goodbye to these two loving souls from God’s Creation. We rejoice in the fact that they are now at home, forever in his loving embrace....... Marlena shakes her head in agreement as Roman looks at her and smiles, proud of the strength she is showing right now...... Fr. Jansen: And so, at this day of their home going, let us give thanks to Our Lord, Jesus Christ, who makes all things possible, and thank him for blessing us with these two flawed, loving, precious souls. The scene then fades into Will, who is standing in between his mother and uncle’s caskets, as he starts speaking..... Will: I just don’t know what to say. My Uncle Eric was a fine, fine man. I will always remember how he stood up for my mom, whenever she made the mistakes that she made. And.......no matter what she did, I will always love my mom so very much. It’s a shame that she didn’t truly become the person I always wanted her to be until the end of her life but it’s great that she saw how much being a good, decent human being is so much better than how she was living. No one notices that Nicole is standing in the back of the church. No one except Kate, who turns her head, looks at Nicole, and just shakes her head in shame. She turns back around as Nicole ducks out of sight, as Will continues.... Will: Well, Mom. I guess this is so long, for just a little while. I’m glad that you changed and I truly hope.......... Will looks up into the sky............ Will: That you are truly happy....... Then he looks down at the floor....... Will: Where ever you may have ended up. The audience laughs out loud and applauds as Will bends down and kisses his mother’s casket. Will walks over to Lucas and sits down and Lucas can’t help but smile, whispering that Sami would have loved his eulogy today. Lucas hugs Will and the scene then fades into Carrie, who is now standing next to her brother and sister.... Carrie: My, my, my. How I miss you, little brother. A man of honor and distinction, you never wavered in your beliefs. I will always remember that about you. You look after Sami, ok? (Starting to cry) And......my little sister. We spent.......all that time......hating each other. And then when we started getting close and finally turned the corner.........you’re gone. Jonathan starts to cry as Chloe holds him tightly....... Carrie: Well, sis. I guess I’ll be seeing you. And I’ll keep playing that song you loved so much. (Looking At The Audience) It was called Sideshow, by Blue Magic, and it was truly one of her favorites. Goodbye, sis. Till we meet again. The scene then fades into Marlena. Roman is standing by her side and she starts to talk about the children she has loved and lost....... Marlena: My precious babies. My twins. (Patting and rubbing both caskets gently) I can’t even come up with the words. (Looking At Roman) I can’t. I can’t say goodbye to them. They can’t be gone, Roman. (Crying heavily) I can’t.........I can’t........... Marlena almost collapses as Roman grabs her. Hope, Bo and Lucas run over to help Marlena back to her seat and they sit her down next to Caroline. Caroline cradles Marlena as Kayla and Kimberly help console her and Roman stands next to his two children, almost too grief stricken to speak....... Roman: I can’t help but feel this is my fault. I tried so much to protect my children every day of my life but let my arrogance and foolish pride get in the way.... Victor watches intently from the back of the church........ Roman: And I feel that Eric and Sami would not have wanted me to feel this way.......but I just can’t help it. I can’t help feeling that if I would have done something to stop the evils that have befallen all of us, we wouldn’t be standing here today. Well...........no more. I now promise........no, VOW.........that no one sitting in this church will feel the pain that my family and I feel today. Roman looks towards the Heavens and tells his children....... Roman: Goodbye, little ones. Take care of each other. Roman walks back over and sits next to Marlena, who continues to cry in his arms. The final speaker of these proceedings is Lucas, who stands next to both caskets, tears streaming down his face.......... Lucas: Eric, I hate the fact that we were never closer. You were a good, good man and the world is a much lesser place for you being gone. You gave your life to save all of us and, for that, I will forever be grateful to you. He looks at Samantha’s casket and then looks at Will, who brings a radio up to the podium. He sits it down and takes his seat again. Lucas starts to run his hand gently across Sami’s casket and just talks softly to her, as if she can hear him...... Lucas: We should have been married. Had more kids. A big family. Even with the stuff that you did, we would have been so happy, especially since you had changed. You became the sweet, wonderful lady I knew you could be.......and now....... you’re dead. You told me to walk away from everything and be with you on New Year’s Eve and I didn’t listen. (Crying) All I can ask.......is for you to forgive me. Please. Don’t be mad it me, Sami. Oh God, I love you so much........please don’t leave me......... Kate runs up to the casket and catches Lucas before he collapses in grief. Bill also joins her and they help Lucas back to his seat. Will walks over to the radio and, with Father Jansen’s permission, hits play on the radio, and the song If You leave Me Now by Chicago (CLICK ON THIS FOR "IF YOU LEAVE ME NOW" BY CHICAGO) starts playing. The men then stand and walk over to the caskets and pick both of them up. Nicole sees this and hides in the bushes as Samantha and Eric are taken out of the church one last time. The men walk out into the beautiful daylight and carry both caskets back to their respective hearses. They put Sami and Eric into them and close the doors. Everyone starts coming out of the church after them and people start getting into their cars. Bill walks over to Lucas and tells him how sorry he is for what he has lost. Lucas shakes his head and thanks Bill for coming. Bill tells him that he wouldn’t be anywhere else but by his side at a time like this. Lucas really likes hearing that and, before he can say anything else, Bill also tells him how sorry he is for not being there when he was growing up. Lucas understands, saying that it was his mother’s fault. Bill tells Lucas not to blame her. She was looking out for him, like she always has. Lucas sees that but tells him that all she cares about is herself and running people’s lives. Bill says that he thinks Sami’s death may have changed her for the better. All Lucas can do is wait and see. Lucas agrees and both men shake hands. Will walks up behind them and Bill says he forgot how handsome his grandson was. This makes Will smile and he tells Bill that seeing him really feels good. All three men get into their limousine and, after everyone else is in their cars, they start up as one, and drive off towards the cemetery. Some time later, Victor walks up to the door of The Brady Pub. He turns and tells Nico to make sure that Roman and his family are being watched over. Nico tells him that Bo must have taken care of it because there is a man who is already keeping and eye on them, especially Roman. Victor tells Nico that he has done well and they both walk into the Pub, where a huge party is taking place. People are laughing, dancing, and passing around huge pitchers of Irish beer. A huge banner has both Samantha and Eric’s picture on it and all it says are two simple words..... To Life. Stories are being told about Samantha and Eric as people laugh out loud. It is an old Irish tradition to celebrate the lives of people who have past away and this time is no exception. As sad and as solemn as everyone was........and is, this is a time for celebration and that’s what the Brady's and their friends intend to do. Roman sees that people are sitting with Marlena, who seems to be having a good time, forgetting about the pain that she is feeling. He sees that it is doing her good to talk about her two children. As he walks past her, Roman pulls out his cellphone and tells Bo that he’ll be right back. He has a phone call to make. Bo tells him to take his time as Roman tells everyone to keep the beer and good times flowing. Roman then steps outside, far out of earshot of anyone close to the Pub. He dials a number on his phone and someone picks up on the other end. The person who he called is..... Roman: Dear Orpheus. And how are we doing today? Orpheus: Roman? How in the HELL did you get this number?! Roman: Now, now, Orpheus. No need to get upset. Just wanted to call you and say hi. Orpheus: Well, Roman, I thought you and your family would be busy today. I heard their was a funeral in Salem......or perhaps two. My mind tends to wander. Roman: (Laughing) Good one, old friend. Still the jokes, even after you killed my twins. Orpheus: Of course, Roman. Always make time for a little humor. Adds years to your life. Roman: Well, if you thought that was funny, you’re about to wet you pants over this one. Just listen....... Roman takes a device out of his pocket and holds it up to his cell phone. He then says to Orpheus..... Roman: Now. On the count of three. One......Two......THREE! Roman pushes the button and an entire floor of a fancy high rise apartment building explodes. A few moments later, one of Orpheus’s men comes running in, telling him that they just received a call that his high rise apartment exploded. Orpheus looks at the phone in shock and says...... Orpheus: Roman........are you still there? Roman: I sure am. You know, that really was a nice apartment you had. After a brief pause, a determined Roman tells Orpheus......... Roman: You started this. You’ve maimed and murdered people and all for what? Revenge. Well........old.......friend, you have now gone way too far. You killed my blood. My babies. And now, as far as I’m concerned............ It’s an eye........for an eye. Have a pleasant day, Orpheus. Roman hangs up the phone and Orpheus tries to call him back but Roman has blocked the phone line. Orpheus calls in several of his men, yelling at them to find out how Roman Brady infiltrated his private quarters. He demands that they step up the next phase of his plans. The men obey and all of them take off into the cool night. After he is alone, Orpheus slowly walks up the staircase to an upstairs bedroom. He slowly opens the door and looks in on his sleeping guest. He then slowly walks over to the guest and stands next to the person, quietly saying..... Orpheus: Well, it seems like I have made the cardinal sin. I have underestimated Roman Brady. (Looking at his guest) Now, what would he do if he knew.......that I have you....... All to myself? The scene then pans down on his sleeping guest BIG SURPRISE!!! as the scene freeze-frames and the suddenly goes to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... DRAMA IS THE MAIN EVENT AT THE BRADY PUB AS THE SHOCKS JUST KEEP ON COMING!!!
  24. They were there, Tishy. Roman just didn't mention them, specifically in an effort to keep length down. I had them both at the Pub in Wednesday's episode so we were hoping people would just assume they were still there, which they were. They will be mentioned more specifically in today's and next week's episodes. Austin had his cremation service on Wednesday. Carrie honored his wishes to be cremated so she held a private ceremony with only Kate, Belle, and Philip there. Lucas and Will did not come because Lucas was out of it and Will didn't want to leave him. There will be another memorial of sorts for Austin coming up soon, as well. Glad you enjoyed it. Roman really did a nice job with it. He has a talent for these funeral episodes, that's for sure.
  25. -Roman starts to stir in his bed and slowly wakes up. He turns his head slowly, looks around, and then seems to wake up all at once when he sees that Marlena is not laying next to him. He thinks for a second and then jumps up and grabs his pants, shirt, and gun. He throws his shoes on and races downstairs. He runs towards the door and hears something behind him and when he looks back....... He sees a sleeping Marlena on the couch, holding a picture of Sami and Eric when they were both a year old. Roman slowly walks over to the couch and bends down on one knee, gently nudging Marlena as she starts to stir. Marlena wakes up and looks at Roman and smiles slightly........then realizes that not only are her twin babies dead but today is the day they say goodbye forever. Marlena sits up on the couch and looks at Roman. Tears starts to stream down her face as she leans forward and Roman hugs her lovingly. The only words that are spoken as Marlena clutches Roman tightly is.......... Marlena: My twin babies. How do I say goodbye? Roman slowly shakes his head back and forth as he rocks with Marlena. She knows that her daughter was far from a saint and, even though she was very, very ashamed of her at times, she always loved her precious baby girl. And Roman thought that, as much as he loved Sami, that his son Eric would always be there to protect her..........even after he and Marlena had both passed away. They both know they have other children and love Belle and Jonathan more than life itself, but to have to bury not one but two children...............only God Himself knew the reasons why. At that moment, the phone rings. Marlena shakes her head yes and Roman stands up to answer it. The person on the other end is........ Roman: Oh, my. (Wiping tears from his eyes) It’s good to hear your voice. Jonathan: Thanks, Dad. It’s really good to hear yours. I'm at the Pun right now and wanted to give you and Marlena some time before I called you this morning. Roman: (Picking up the phone and walking away) Oh, I thank you for that, son. Hard, hard day. I just don’t know........(Starting to cry) How I’m going to........Oh God........ Jonathan: I don’t know, Dad. I just...........I just wanted you to know that I’m here, ok? Roman: Son, you don’t have to......... Jonathan: Yes I do, Dad. I have leaned on you my whole life. Time for you to lean on me, ok? Roman: Yes. Ok, son. Ok. I could really use that right now, you know? Jonathan: I know, Dad. I’ll start getting ready and I’ll see you later on........before the funerals. Roman: Ok, son. Jonathan: And do me a favor. Roman: Anything. Jonathan: You tell Marlena..........(Starting to cry as well)...........That I love her, ok? Please? Roman: I will, baby boy. I will. Jonathan: See you later, Dad. Roman: Bye, son. Roman hung up the phone on a crying Jonathan. He knew that his son didn’t want him to hear him break down and gave him his respect. Roman placed the cordless phone on a small table and looked back at Marlena, who is placing the picture back on their end table. She stares at it sadly and thinks of all the time that she feels was wasted fighting, arguing, and not being close with one another. Marlena thinks of Roman regaining his identity, her coming back home, and Sami finally making the choices in her life that truly were making her happy. She thinks of Sami’s love for Lucas, the man who helped turn her around, and knows that if this........tragedy........would not have occurred, her and Lucas may have soon enough walked down the aisle as husband and wife. And may, just maybe, she would have started a family of her own. But now............she realizes that will never be and Roman walks over and holds Marlena from behind as she leans backwards onto him. Both of them can’t stop crying. The pain of losing one child is unbearable.............but to lose two children, at the hands of some madman............it now is almost more than either of them can bear. The scene slowly dissolves away from Roman and Marlena......... And onto Lucas, who is walking slowly around his apartment, holding a picture of his beloved Samantha. Lucas slowly walks over to the window in the living room and looks out into the beautiful sunlight of the morning. He then thinks to himself...... Lucas: Amazing how when you bury someone, the skies are wide open with sun. A person standing behind him answers his question........ Will: Yeah. It sure is. Lucas turns and wipes the tears from his eyes as he sees Will standing there looking at him. Lucas walks over to his son and hugs him. Will hugs him back, trying his best to remain strong for his father. Both men know what today is........and truly don’t want to say goodbye to a lady who they loved no matter what. Lucas slowly backs up and looks at Will, asking him.... Lucas: Well.........do you have........your clothes ready? Will: (Wiping tears away) Uh, yeah, Dad. Yeah. I laid them out this morning. Lucas: Good. Good, son. Lucas walks away and Will asks him........ Will: Are the police guards still outside the door? Lucas: Actually, no. Victor sent some men over late last night and they have been there all evening. He has some over at Roman and Marlena’s as well. With Orpheus running loose........ Will: (After a pause) If I ever see that bastard....... Lucas: NO! I don’t want to hear that from you. You must stay out of this. Will: That bastard kills my mother and I can’t wish death on him?! Lucas: Son..........I don’t want the anger to eat you up, ok? Will: How can I stop that from happening?! She’s dead, Dad. Lucas: You don’t think I know that?! Will looks at his father as one tear falls from his eyes........ Lucas: I can’t sleep. I can’t eat. It is beyond painful just for me to breathe from moment to moment. All I see........is her. I feel her. I sense her. And then..........(crying)..........I am reminded that she will never walk through that door again..........or laugh out loud at one of my stupid jokes........or jump into my arms........ Or tell me.........how much she loves me. And I can’t tell her............how truly blessed I was to have her in my life, despite everything. (Looking at Will) So yes, son. I know what you’re going through........ Because I’m going through the exact same thing. Will slowly walks over to Lucas.........and hugs Lucas from behind as he breaks down once again and sobs deeply. Lucas is wracked with emotion as Will tries to comfort his dad. All Will can do is to softly say into Lucas’s ear..... Will: It’ll be alright, Dad, Trust me. It’ll be alright. Will continues to hold a sobbing Lucas as the scene slowly pans up and then fades to black. -Later that morning, loved ones start to arrive at the Brady Pub. Kayla and Kimberly greet people as they start filing in. Kimberly looks over at a small table in the back and sees Caroline sitting there, holding a picture of both Samantha and Eric. All Caroline can do is rock back and forth and shake her head. Kimberly wheels herself over and when she is near, places her hand gently on Caroline’s wrist. Caroline slowly looks at Kimberly.......and then leans forward, resting her head on Kimberly’s shoulder and breaking down completely. Kayla sees this and walks over to her mother, followed closely by Steve. All Steve can do is pat Kayla on her back as both sisters try and comfort their mother. Steve then looks towards the door.......and sees Bo and Hope walk in. He excuses himself and walks over to his best friend, hugging him deeply as Hope watches on, fighting back tears. The men look at each other as Steve tells him...... Steve: So sorry, man. Bo: Thanks. But it’s Marlena and Roman who are going through hell. Both twins........gone. Steve: (After A Brief Pause) Let me talk to you for a minute. Hope......would you mind? Hope: No, Steve. I’ll be over here with the ladies. Steve and Bo step outside and Bo turns, looking at Steve and asking him...... Bo: What’s up, man? Steve: I want in on this. I know.....that you and Victor have something special planned for that bastard and I want in. Bo: Steve, look....... Steve: Don’t tell me that! They were my people too, man. Bo: Damn right they were. And you are my brother, just like Roman is. Let me handle this, ok? Steve: After everything we’ve been through.......you can say this to me? Bo: Roman was gone for so long after Stefano shot him. And you just came back home. I lost two brothers who mean the world to me. I’m not losing anyone else. Steve: Then it’s time for this family to go on the offensive. We find Orpheus and Stefano.........and we make these sick bastards pay, dude. Bo takes a few steps away from Steve and ponders his words. He then turns back, looks into the Pub at all of his loved ones who are gathering, and tells Steve in a menacing tone..... Bo: Fine. You win. We make every last one of these [!@#$%^&*] regret the day they EVER crossed paths with this family. Steve: Good deal, man. Both men shake on this newfound alliance as they both walk back into the Pub to join the gathering. What they didn’t know is that their conversation was overheard...... By none other than Victor Kiriakis, who tells Nico....... Victor: I think my son is finally coming into his own. Victor and Nico walk into the Pub as the scene slowly fades to black. -At the Horton home, Alice is getting ready for today’s funerals when Maggie walks in and asks her how she’s doing. Alice tells her she’s just about ready. She reminds Maggie that it wasn’t too long ago that they all said goodbye to Marie. Now, another tragedy. Maggie asks her if Salem will ever know any type of peace again and Alice responds, saying that they will. Maggie sits down next to Alice as Alice pats her hand, telling her that at the end of the day, all they really have is each other. She recalls telling that to Samantha once. She is so sorry now that the precious dear didn’t realize that until the end of her life. Maggie tells her that she is glad she saw it, though. Just like Eric. Alice reminds Maggie that Eric always knew that. He was a splendid young man, Alice says. Just like his father. The both of them came from good, good stock and that is what will carry them through this pain. Alice then asks if the men who were outside all night are still there. Maggie is shocked, saying she didn’t know men were outside. Alice tells her that Abe sent them over. Maggie tells her that all she noticed last night were the cars driving up and down the streets all night. Alice says that when she went downstairs to get the morning mail, she had a letter that was addressed to her with no return address. When she opened it.....all it was was a picture..........of a Phoenix. Maggie asks her if she was sure they were Stefano’s men and Alice tells her that’s all she can get from that letter. Maggie wonders...........is it really possible that Stefano DiMera actually has a heart? Alice responds, saying only...... Alice: We’ll see. Both ladies laugh as Maggie helps Alice stand up. She helps Alice out into the hallway...........where Shane, Doug, Will and Lucas are standing. Alice walks over to Will and Lucas and each man reaches out to her. She takes both hands and tells them both that they will get through this with the love they have for each other and the love from their families. Both Lucas and Will nod their heads in agreement as they help Alice down the stairs and out to her limousine. -At the Pub, Victor walks over to a grieving Caroline. She stands up and Victor gives her a warm embrace. She thanks him for coming to the funerals. Victor tells her he just couldn’t be by her side at this time. She wonders if Maggie will be upset and Victor says he talked to Maggie and she understands. He asks how Roman and Marlena are doing. Caroline says that Roman is at home but she doesn’t know what has happened to him. He seems to blame himself for what happened. Victor says he knows what Roman is going through. He blamed himself when Isabella died. Caroline tells him that wasn’t his fault and Victor says he found that out later but it still didn’t stop him from laying all that guilt on himself. Caroline just hopes that Roman comes to his senses soon, before he does something he’ll regret for the rest of his life. Before Victor can respond, Bo looks out the window and slowly turns, telling the gathering that the hearses and limousines have arrived. Caroline sinks into Victor’s arms and Kimberly places her hand over her mouth, to keep from crying out. Kayla hugs Steve, who looks at Bo and nods his head. Bo responds in kind as Hope walks over to her husband and hugs him gently. The gathering then starts to slowly walk out of the Brady Pub and make their way to the limousines as Victor places Caroline in his personal car. He leans into Nico and tells him something and Nico then gives a signal. At that moment, a car rides in front of the hearse and stops. When everyone has gotten into their cars, two young ladies stand up through the roof of the first car and, as the cars start to pull away, they throw white rose petals in front of Samantha’s hearse. The scene then pans up towards the beautiful sky as the fleet of cars drives off into the morning. People stop their cars and wave at the Brady family as they drive by and Caroline lets her window down, as school children run up to the side of her limousine and hand her long stem white roses as her car slowly drives by. The fleet makes their way towards Roman and Marlena’s home. When the phone rings in the living room, Marlena picks it up and says that they are ready and thanks the person who called her. She hangs up the phone and looks out the window as Roman walks down the stairs. He looks at her as a tear falls from his eyes and she tells him that everyone is out front. He walks over to her and hugs her again, trying his best to keep Marlena from collapsing in his arms. He puts his jacket on and opens the front door. He leads Marlena outside as everyone watches this almost overwhelming scene of grief being displayed. Roman looks up and towards the fleet of cars, as if asking for help. Bo jumps out of his limousine and runs over to them and helps Roman take a now crying Marlena to her car. Kayla and Hope get out of the same car and race over to Roman, who stops dead in his tracks. He then doubles over with grief and Kimberly watches on as the two ladies try to hold Roman up long enough for him to make his way to the limousine. At that moment, a car slowly drives by the fleet and, when it stops near Marlena and Roman’s limousine, the window comes down. Marlena lowers her window and her and Roman see the person inside the car....... And it is Stefano DiMera, who nods his head at both of them. Roman wipes his face and hands Marlena a handkerchief. He then sits back and the window goes back up as the limousine drives away slowly. Roman closes his door as Kayla, Bo and Hope sit with Roman and Marlena, as she places her head on Roman’s shoulder. He places his arm around her and tells her....... Roman: Ok, Doc. Let’s take our twins home. She cries in his arms as the fleet starts up again and as they all drive off, the scene pans up and slowly fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...
