  1. Not rude at all . It was mentioned on her first episode but only in passing. We threw it out there as a hint. Nothing will be cheapened. The story is developing and the death still means alot to the story, without a doubt.
  2. NOVEMBER 6, 2007-EPISODE #366: TAILSPIN PART 2 UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Steve comes back in to Hope's room, apologizing for having to leave. Kayla was paged so he had to say goodbye to her. He says that Bo wanted to pass a message on to her that he had to handle some things at the station. He then tells her he wants to get back to what they were discussing and asks what changed her mind. Hope says it was nearly losing her life at Myers' hand. Her life flashed before her eyes and she realized she was still had some blanks. She thinks if she had died she would never rest in peace because of those missing pieces of her past. It would be like unfinished business. Hope then adds that they need to think about Chelsea as well. They are just assuming they went through with making love so, therefore, they don't know that he is her father. Steve agrees but reminds her of her worry about the feelings between them that may come to the surface. Hope says she is scared about that but she knows now she has to just be strong and hope they don't become a problem. She tells Steve she needs to do this and she knows that now. Steve notes that she seems sure of this. Hope nods. Steve says he is happy to hear it and promises to do what he can to be strong and to not let any past feelings between them get in the way. Hope promises the same. He then reminds Hope of the security they faced at Maison Blanche the last time and says it will impossible to get in. Hope agrees and then, after a few moments, says she has an idea and tells Steve to help her to Tony's room. The scene then shifts to... Cassie by Tony's bedside, telling him how grateful she is that he is going to be ok. Tony is touched by her concern and tells Cassie that she shouldn't have come. It's still not for sure that Salem is safe. Cassie tells Tony that Salem isn't safe with or without Myers as Orpheus and Victor are still around. Tony mentions Stefano too. Cassie tells Tony that she doesn't want to argue. She is just happy he is alright. Tony smiles, telling her how proud he is to have a the most beautiful, caring daughter a man could have. Cassie thinks there are better daughters out there but Tony shakes his head, saying she is the only one that counts in his book. They then embrace as Tony says he loves her. Cassie says she loves him too. The scene then shifts too... The morgue, where Jack is talking with the medical examiner, who tells him he just called downstairs and they will run the tests needed to determine whether his theory may be right. The medical examiner tells Jack he still doesn't understand why he made the woman take his son out of the room. Jack says he didn't want Alex to get his hopes up, in case he is wrong. Jack then says he doesn't think he is wrong. The medical examiner can't believe Jack remembered a birthmark. Jack: Elizabeth and I were in love. We were together for awhile. I remember noticing the birthmark on her shoulder one night and asking her about. She said she hated it. She wanted everything about her to be perfect and found the birthmark distracting, especially when her arms were exposed. When I was looking at the body earlier and didn't see the birthmark, it hit me. It hit me on more then the surface. It hit me inside. I know this isn't Elizabeth. Medical Examiner: She could have done something to remove the mark or to cover it up. I mean, you admitted a few seconds ago you could be wrong. Jack: I know. I just believe I'm not. If something were covering it up, we would notice it, I would think. I don't think she would have it removed either. Elizabeth was petrified of hospitals and everything associated with them. This isn't her. I can't believe I didn't pick up on it sooner. Medical Examiner: Well, we will run the necessary tests to determine who she is for sure. You said her sister was identical to her so this may come down to dental records. Jack nods, saying: Jack: They were identical. Bridget was her sister's name. When Elizabeth and I were together, Bridget had already been ostricized from her family. They had a major falling out and she was the black sheep. Elizabeth always felt bad for her, thinking she was the reason for all the trouble because Bridget always felt their parents favored Elizabeth. Medical Examiner: So, your thinking her sister took over her life for revenge? Jack: I don't know. All I know is I don't believe in my heart that this is Elizabeth and we need proof to give us the answers we need as soon as possible. Medical Examiner: We''ll do our best. Meanwhile, outside the morgue, Alex nervously walks the hall, wondering what is going on. Billie is on her cell, trying to reach Abby. Billie doesn't understand why Abby isn't answering. Alex asks her what she thinks is going on in there. Billie says she has no clue. Jack then comes out. Alex asks him what is going on. Jack tells him to calm down and, realizing he has no choice but to tell him, warns him that he can't get his hopes up. Alex promises not to. Jack then fills him and Billie in on the birthmark and his belief that the dead woman in there is not Elizabeth but, rather, her sister Bridget. Alex and Billie are stunned. Alex says it's hard to believe the woman that has been raising him could be his aunt. He then asks how long this may have been going on. Jack tells Alex not to put the horse before the carriage, saying they have to wait until they are sure before speculating. Jack says it does make sense, especially given what Billie has been saying about her scheming and plotting to cause trouble. Billie is shocked to hear Jack say that and says: Billie: Wait, now you believe what I've been telling you? After all those times I tried to convince you, now you beleive me? When the woman is dead and you realize it may not be your past lover? Jack: Billie... Billie: So, let me see if I'm understanding this. Because you now think this woman isn't Elizabeth, you finally believe what I've been telling you for weeks? Makes me think you bought what I was saying all along but just didn't want to acknowledge it or deal with it because it was your beloved Elizabeth. Now that it may not be her, lo and behold, you acknowledge I was right. Jack: Calm down, Billie!! Billie: No!! This is making me sick, Jack. Damnit! I don't know even know what to say to you. Jack: Ok, would you just shut up for a second? Billie: Don't tell me to... Jack: What are you upset that it might not be Elizabeth? I mean, right before this Myers thing you did say you wanted Elizabeth to disappear from our lives. You thought you got your wish, didn't you? Billie: How dare you accuse me of wanting someone dead. I was angry when I said all that, Jack. I would never wish such ill will on someone. Jack: Look, I don't want to do this right now. The tests should be back tomorrow and then we'll know for sure. Billie: Sure. In the meantime, why don't you try calling your daughter? I've been trying for hours and nothing. I tried the number Forrest and Dr. Dobbs gave us and Abby's cell. Nothing. She needs to know we are all ok before she hears about all this and panics. Jack: I wouldn't worry. I will keep trying to call her. I'm sure she is napping or away from the phone or something. Billie: Or something could be wrong. Usually your the one considering that possibility. Jack: I don't want to think negatively. There has been enough of that lately. Billie nods in agreement as Jack tells Alex he can stay with him at the house tonight. Jack adds that they will have to call a cab since his car is blocked in my emergency personnel. Billie says she will give them a lift. Jack says she doesn't have to but Billie insists, promising she won't start anything. Jack thanks her and motions to Alex to come on. Jack and Alex walk off as Billie looks once more into the morgue and wonders what will happen to her and Jack if that isn't Elizabeth in there. MALIBU, CALIFORNIA Abby is shocked by Forrest's request and asks how marrying him would solve the problem. Forrest tells her that her marrying him would prevent Lawrence from marrying her, thereby preventing him from using her as a way of getting revenge on his enemies and her loves ones. Abby notes that she can just marry anyone. Forrest says that marrying him means she is an Alamain. Lawrence may see him as inferior but the family name and the honor and legacy that goes with it means alot to him. He will see you as an Alamain and you will be off limits. My father always told him that family was family and that you never hurt or permanently dispose of family. That is why they both only faked my death and didn't kill me. Forrest also notes to her that if she is married to him, Lawrence will back off and will be humiliated that he beat him, especially so since he would've caused him to fail in accomplishing his plots for revenge. Abby isn't so sure. Forrest tells her he knows his brother and reminds Abby of her promise to trust in him and to do whatever it takes, He reminds her that this isn't just for her but is also for her loved ones as well. After a few moments, Abby asks if he is sure this is the only way. Forrest nods, saying he doesn't think there is anything else that would be as effective. After hearing Forrest say that, Abby reluctantly agrees. A pleased Forrest tells her that he will make it as easy on her as possible. He then says they will leave right away. Abby says that she will have to go and get ready then. She wheels off as Forrest then tells Dr. Dobbs to prepare to leave for Vegas. It's the only place nearby that is quick enough to get this done. Dr. Dobbs says he will and that he will tell the housekeeper so she can look over his home. He leaves as Forrest says Miranda and alot of others won't be happy about this but there is no other way. The scene then shifts back to... Tony's room, where he is lying with his eyes closed. He begins to stir upon hearing someone enter the room. He is shocked to see Anna standing above him and asks what she is doing there. Anna tells him she came to the hospital to check on everyone after being forced into a safehouse last night. She heard about his being injured and had to come make sure he was ok. Tony smiles and says he knew she still cared. Anna tells him of course she does. She always will, even if they aren't together. Tony tells Anna that, just like that night at Orpheus's restaurant, her coming to see him proves that they aren't over. Anna doesn't think that now is the best time to get into all that and thinks it may be best for her to leave. Tony grabs her arm and begs her to stay and not run away from what is between them anymore. Anna tearfully tells Tony she can't go there with him again. She wouldn't be able to take it if he hurt her again or if she hurt him. She tells him they just have too many issues. Tony tells her they can resolve them. Anna pushes herself away from Tony and tells him she is glad he is ok and that she hopes he feels better. She then bids him goodbye and walks out as Tony says out loud that Anna needs to stop trying to lie to him and herself. Steve then comes in wheeling Hope in a wheelchair. Hope tells Tony she hopes they aren't disturbing him and asks how he is feeling. Tony says it's fine and that he's fine. Hope tells him she knows it's bad timing but they need his help. The scene then shifts to... Outside Greta's hospital room as Cassie is walking by. She glances at it and stops. She looks in and sees Greta lying in bed. Cassie recalls the hit and run and worries that, with Greta awake, her time is up and Greta will put her away. Lincoln then shows up and tells Cassie he has been looking for her. Stefano sent him to make sure she got home ok. Cassie apologizes and says she is fine and was on her way home anyway. Lincoln tells her he will escort her. Cassie says she doesn't need him but Lincoln insists, on Stefano's orders. Cassie says ok and Lincoln motions to her to come with him. As they begin to leave, a worried Cassie looks back at Greta's room as the scene shifts to... Tony's room once again as he is telling Steve and Hope that the security around Maison Blanche will be tough but there is a passageway under the mansion grounds he can direct them too. They may still encounter guards but not nearly as many and may be able to find ways to avoid them. Hope tells him that would be great. Steve then mentions how they will deal with security if they should make it into the mansion. Tony tells them it all depends and says they can call him at anytime and he can see what he can do upon hearing what they are dealing with. Steve and Hope both thank him. Tony reminds them he owes them for all their help when they accompanied him on his journey and says they did have a deal. Hope says she hates to lay this all on him right now with his injuries and all. Tony says it's fine and assures them both he is fine once again. Steve then wonders what they will do about Kayla and Bo. They promised them they wouldn't do this again. Hope adds that they really should leave right away too. Tony tells them both to leave all that to him. He has a plan. Hope embraces Tony as Steve shakes his hand, thanking him for all his help. Tony says it's no problem. They are his friends and they made a deal, one he plans to hold to. The scene then shifts to... Outside Elma's room as Abe ushers Lucas, Will, and Joelle out of the room. Abe tells them the scene is still being surveyed. Joelle reminds Abe her mother died in there. Abe says he knows she is upset. Joelle tells him to just leave as he is worthless anyway,. She then adds: Joelle: You and your Salem PD...not to mention your superiors...you better believe I will be looking into all this to see if I have grounds to sue your asses. I'm sure your going to get alot of that and, rightfully so. Abe: Joelle... Joelle: I told you to go!! Abe: I'm not leaving you like this. Not with Lucas and Will. Joelle: Well, if your going to stay, why don't you arrest Lucas for my mother's murder since his stubbornness is why she is dead. I offered you a settlement and you turned me down, acting all proud of yourself doing it. My mother could've been moved but, instead, she's dead and it's your fault, Lucas!! Lucas: There is no way your mother would've been moved so quick. Your not thinking, Joelle. Our meeting was yesterday and there is no way we could've found a rehab center and moved her that quickly. Joelle (turns around and whispers):Why couldn't you just give in? Why did you have to fight me? Lucas: What was that? Joelle: Nothing. My mother is dead. What am I going to tell my son? Lucas: I'm sorry for your loss. Really, I am. I know how much you loved her. Abe: As I said, Joelle, I'm sorry too. Joelle: You know what? LEAVE!!! All of you!! Now!! Abe tells Lucas and Will they should go and ushers them away while Joelle yells out that they will pay. Her mother's death is on their hands and the hands of those associated with them. Once they move a short distance down the hall, Lucas tells Abe and Will that Elma's death looks like it has driven Joelle over the edge. He is afraid of what she might do. Abe says he can see why and warns Lucas to be careful and to tell his loved ones to be careful too. A worried Lucas and Will look at each other, fear evident in both their eyes. Meanwhile, Joelle looks into her mother's room and then up at the heavens above, promising her mother that those responsible will pay for this, especially Lucas Horton. Joelle: Before this was just about giving us a better life but not no more. It's about much more then that now. Now I want to punish those responsible for me losing you. I want to destroy Lucas Horton and make sure he has nothing! NOTHING!! (pounds fist into the wall) An enraged Joelle then turns around, clutching her hand which now seems to hurt after pounding the wall, and says she needs to talk to Patricia to let her know what is going on. She then angrily walks off as the scene shifts too... The ER, where an enraged Alyson is demanding that Nicole give her back Samuel. Caroline is walking by and says she has been looking all over for Alyson. She asks what happened. Alyson tells Caroline that Nicole tried to snatch her baby again. Nicole denies that, saying she was only holding him. She admits that's all she was doing the last time too. She just wandered too far. Alyson reminds Nicole she ran off with the child. Nicole says Eric would want Samuel with her, especially after she lost Evan. She is the love of his life and she is convinced that is why Alyson and Jean brought him to Salem. It was Eric's gift to her. Alyson thinks she is delusional. The nurse comes back with the other nurse and asks what is going on. Alyson fills them in. The nurse apologizes, saying she thought Nicole was the child's mother and then looks at Nicole, saying she knew something was off. The other nurse says that Alyson is the real mother and demands Nicole give the child back. Alyson then screams for security. Nicole tells Alyson there is no need for that. Alyson says she thinks there is. Two security guards arrive and ask what is wrong. Alyson fills them in and orders them to get the baby from Nicole and to give it back to her. The guards order Nicole to give up the child and she complies. Alyson tells Caroline to take him and then walks closer to Nicole, saying: Alyson: I was lenient before but not anymore. I gave you a chance when practically everyone was warning me not to, telling me you would call my bluff. Oh, how right they were. I've been nice for too long. I've held back for too long with you...with everyone!! Nicole: What is this? Is someone growing a spine? Alyson (moving closer to Nicole): You listen to me, you guttersnipe. I won't be your doormat anymore. Nor will I be anyone else's. The day of you intimidating me and thinking you can do whatever you damn well please is over. Samuel is my son. Mine and Eric's. I gave you a chance to back off and you ignored it. Now you pay the price. Nicole (laughing): Really? What price? Alyson: This! Alyson then hauls back and slaps Nicole, sending her to the floor. Alyson: TAKE THAT YOU BABY SNATCHING BITCH!! Alyson then moves to attack Nicole further but the guards pull her away. One guard goes over to Nicole while another holds Alyson back. Alyson tells Nicole there is more where that came from. She has kept her anger all bottled up inside but no more. She is not going to stand by and be weak nor will she be a victim. She tells Nicole defiantly: Alyson: I'm not taking your [!@#$%^&*] anymore and I hope no one else does either. Guard#1: I assume your pressing charges? Alyson: Yes. This time she isn't getting off the hook. Not like the last time. I don't do third chances, at least not anymore. Nicole (as the guard begins to pull her away): We can talk about this, Alyson. Alyson: No, we can't. You also better believe I will be getting a restraining order too. Your done, Nicole. I'm done. With you. The two guards drag Nicole away as she yells out that Alyson can't do this and that she will pay for this. Alyson takes Samuel from Caroline and holds him, saying: Alyson: I won't lose you, too. I will do whatever it takes from now on to make sure that Nicole, nor anyone else, takes you away from me. That I promise you, my sweet boy. The scene then freezes on Alyson holding Samuel, rocking him back and forth to comfort him, and then fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... RETURN TO MAISON BLANCHE!!!

Abby thanks him for all his hard work and says it's the treatment that is doing it. Dr. Dobbs smiles and says that most of the praise should go to her for her drive to overcome this. Meanwhile, Forrest is on the phone with Miranda, who tells him she has bad news. She says that Lawrence is on the move and closing in. Forrest says that means they must do something before he implements his plans. Miranda reminds Forrest that they weren't counting on this so they will have to come up with something. She asks if he has any ideas. Forrest looks around the room as he thinks. After a few moments, he looks down at a newspaper and becomes fixated on something, telling Miranda he has an idea but he needs to act fast. He tells her that he will explain later. Miranda reminds him they are partners but he hangs up as she is talking. Forrest goes over to Dr. Dobbs and Abby and tells them he needs to speak with Dr. Dobbs. Dr. Dobbs excuses himself and tells Abby to take a break. Dr. Dobbs asks what is going on. Forrest tells him Lawrence is closing in and that something needs to be done to protect Abby, her loved ones, and all of Lawrence's enemies. Dr. Dobbs asks what he plans to do. Forrest says he will do what he must and then says he has to go ask Abby an important question. UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Maintenance and construction workers are being accompanied around the building with police officers and National Guardsmen as Salem begin to pick up the pieces after the events of Halloween night. Lucas is racing through the second floor hallways and runs over to Abe, telling him he has been looking for him. Abe asks if everything is ok. Lucas says that he can't find Will. He was supposed to be at a friends house but he changed his mind and decided to come home. Lucas tells Abe he went home and searched the area and all of Will's usual hangouts and found nothing. Abe tells Lucas to calm down and that he will radio his men to see if Will has been picked up. Lucas thanks him and says that he can't lose his on. Not after losing Sami. Abe tells him he will do what he can and then walks off, leaving behind a worried Lucas. The scene then shifts to... A second floor waiting area as Jack and Alex get off an elevator. Jack tells Alex that his mother should be around somewhere as those put in safehouses are all being brought to the hospital to meet with their loved ones. Billie, who is sitting and reading a magazine, sees Jack and Alex and walks over to them, saying she has been waiting for them. Jack embraces Billie, telling her that he is glad she is ok. He admits he was worried when he couldn't reach her last night after they last saw each other. Billie tells him she tried reaching him too. Jack tells her that he must not have heard the ring or something with all the commotion as him and Alex were stuck on the first floor with a good deal of people. Billie nods and Alex then asks if she has seen his mother. Billie hesitates and then looks down before looking back up again. Jack asks what is wrong, saying he knows when she has that look that something has happened. Billie tells Jack and Alex that she is sorry but she has bad news. She tells them that after they put her in her car last night and she took off, she came across a dead body lying in the street on Rt. 14. Alex begins to shake his head in denial as Jack's face turns as white as a sheet. Billie says the body was Elizabeth's and that she is dead. She tells them both Myers got to her and snapped her neck. She tells them she is really sorry. Alex doesn't believe his mother is dead and says he will need to see it for himself. Billie says her body is in the morgue and someone does need to ID it. Alex moves to leave but Jack stops him, saying this is too much for him. Alex is stunned that Jack believes she is gone. Jack says that Billie wouldn't lie about this. Alex tells Jack that he needs to see for himself. Jack, realizing he can't talk his son out of this, says he will go with him then. Alex agrees and they both walk off as Billie follows a short distance behind. Hope's hospital room, where Doug is visiting her and saying how thankful he is that she is ok. Hope thanks him. Bo says she is a lucky girl but that she also needs her rest. Hope says she feels fine but Bo insists. Doug tells Hope that Bo is right. He kisses her on the cheek and says he will give her a call to check on her. Hope thanks him. Bo says he will walk him out and tells Hope once again to rest. Hope tells Bo she heard him and to lay off. Bo tells her that he is only saying it because he cares. Hope smiles as Bo smiles back before leaving with Doug and joining Kayla, Steve, and Caroline in the hallway. While alone, Hope sighs deeply and tells herself what happened to her happened for a reason and was a sign. A sign she can't ignore. The scene then shifts to... Another side of the hospital where Frankie is racing down the halls. He then turns a corner and bursts in to Greta's room. Frankie is shocked when he sees Victor sitting right by her. Greta is overjoyed that Frankie is ok. Frankie says he is happy to see that she is too. Victor tells Frankie that his first order of business was to check on his daughter and, as usual, she was only worried about everyone else but herself. Frankie smiles, saying that's her alright. Greta tells them both she saw what was happening on the news and was so worried. Victor tells her they were worried about her with Myers running loose in the hospital. Greta is touched by the concern of both of them and says it means alot. Victor tells her he is sick of these close calls and that he can't lose her, not when they are just getting a chance at a father/daughter relationship. Greta assures him and Frankie that she isn't going anywhere. She then laughs and says she is here for the long haul. Frankie smiles as Victor smiles and says that is good to hear. The scene then shifts to... The ER, where Nicole is exiting a cubicle after having a gash on her head taken care of. Julie races by but notices Nicole and asks what happened to her. Nicole says that a bunch of people pushed her when the National Guard was forcing everyone into a safehouse. She says the people were in a panic and were shoving and she ended up getting knocked over and couldn't get the gash on her head taken care of until morning. Nicole admits she didn't even want to go to the hospital but a Guardsman insisted. Julie nods her head and says that it sounds like she had an eventful night. She then says she has to go and races off as Nicole yells out a thank you to her for pretending to care. Nicole then turns to leave but is shocked to see a nurse carrying baby Samuel out of the ER. She overhears a nurse telling another nurse at the front desk to keep an eye on him as she will be right back to take him back to his mother. The nurse agrees as Nicole slowly walks closer like a moth to a flame, her eyes never moving off of Samuel. Nicole goes up to the front desk and tells the nurse that she is the child's mother. The nurse asks for ID. Nicole says that the nurse who took care of him knew what she looked like and who she was. She tells the nurse she will wait right where she is so that the nurse can page the nurse who cared for Samuel so there are know issues. The nurse thinks for a few moments and tells Nicole she is watching her. Nicole smiles and nods. She then picks Samuel up in her arms and turns around, saying: Nicole (looking at Samuel): Oh...you look so much like daddy. You have his eyes and that adorable nose of his. You should be with me and not some floozy your daddy took for a ride one night. Your daddy would want me to raise you. (rocks Samuel) Yes, he would. I'm the love of his life, afterall. It would make him happy and he knows it would make me happy. It would be perfect. Nicole continues to talk to Samuel and rock him back and forth as the nurses watches and calls for the other nurse to return as the scene shifts to... Alyson, who is sitting at Jean's bedside. Rich walks in and advises Alyson to go home and get some sleep. Alyson says she isn't leaving her mother. Rich reminds her that she is in a coma and won't be waking up anytime soon. Alyson asks for assurance that she will wake up. Rich says he is hopeful but there are never no guarantees. Alyson begins to break down, recalling how one of their last conversations was an argument over her being too controlling. A teary-eyed Alyson asks Jean why she didn't listen to her about coming to Salem. Being there has been nothing but trouble for them. Rich then quietly sneaks out. Alyson wishes she could do something to help, admitting she feels helpless right now. She then asks if Jean would like to have a visit with her grandson. She knows she can hear them, even in a coma. She tells Jean she will be right back with Samuel. As she exits the room, she bumps into Abe, who asks about her mother. Alyson tells him she is in a coma and there are no guarantees of her waking up or even surviving. Abe apologizes. Alyson lashes out and says: Alyson: An apology won't do [!@#$%^&*]! You and the PD are responsible for this. This whole Myers thing was a can of worms opened by you and that damn justice system of yours and... Abe: Alyson, I know your upset... Alyson: I'm past that and you better believe I will be hiring an attorney to look into all this. Goes to show you not even putting a person away can stop them nowadays. Abe: I am really sorry for what happened to your mother and to you last night. Alyson: I appreciate the sentiment but that all sounds hollow to me. Maybe I'm just too heated or something. Abe: I understand where your coming from completely. Alyson: Well, good. I have to go. You will be hearing from me and a lawyer. Tell those higher ups of yours that for me. Alyson walks off as Lucas catches up to Abe and asks if he has found anything. Abe says nothing yet. Lucas admits to Abe he is very worried that something may have happened to Will. The scene then shifts to... ORPHEUS' PENTHOUSE Orpheus carries Sami back into her room and tells one of his men to make sure her medical needs are taken care of. The man asks Orpheus about the cuts and bruises he sustained and Orpheus says he will be fine and that it can wait. He has things to think about and tells the henchman to make it known that he is not to be disturbed unless it's an emergency. The henchman nods his head in agreement as Orpheus leaves, taking a deep breath and saying: Orpheus: Damn. What a night. The scene then shifts back to... UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Marlena is by Roman's side as the injuries he sustained at the Pub are tended to. Marlena advises Roman to take it easy for the time being. Roman tells her he can't and that the Micheal Myers incident has made him more determined then ever to protect his family and Salem. A frustrated Marlena tells Roman to rejoin the force and to stop acting like he needs to do this himself. Roman says the force only limits what he can do. He tells Marlena he knows what he is doing and that it's only a matter of time before Stefano or Orpheus strike again. Marlena wonders why he didn't lump Myers in there. Roman reminds her that Stefano and Orpheus are the more immediate danger but that he also worries about Myers. Marlena reminds him that his family needs him and that the approach he is taking is only making things worse. Roman tells Marlena she is wasting her breath once again and that he is doing this his way. An angry Marlena throws his leather jacket at him and says to him: Marlena: Fine. Do what you want. Just know that you ending up in a body bag will do nothing to help your family or Salem. I can't believe your don't see how wrong you are. Roman: I love you, doc. Marlena: Ugh. I'm going to call Belle. Roman: So, your not leaving me alone here? Coming back, eh? Marlena: I'm your wife. The dressings on those wounds need to be changed daily. Of course, I'm not leaving you right now. I need to make sure your ass goes right home and stays there until you recuperate properly. Roman: I have things that have to be done. Marlena: This is non-negotiable. In order for your injuries to heal completely, you need to rest and recuperate. No arguments. As for your determination to continue with this vigilante justice of yours, we'll discuss that later. Roman: We just discussed it and have been discussing it for weeks. Nothing is changing, doc. I'll rest and let my injuries heal but, once I see that I'm good to go, nothing is stopping me from doing what I have to, ok? Marlena: I have to go call Belle and tell her to come home. I'll be back. A frustrated Marlena walks away as Roman says that he is sorry it has to be this way but he needs to protect the people he loves, no matter what the cost. Meanwhile, Marlena calls Belle, who asks how Roman is. Marlena says he is stubborn as usual but tells Belle he will be held back a bit by his injuries. Belle thinks that is a blessing. Marlena agrees but warns that nothing will stop him once he is recuperated completely. The scene then shifts to... Stefano and Cassie walking down a hallway. Stefano tells Cassie he is so pleased that she is ok and that Alexandra was forced into a safehouse last night. He says he is thankful they all made it. Cassie says she is too, especially after the close call with Myers last night. She tells Stefano she is glad to be finally getting out of the hospital. It feels like forever. Stefano says he can imagine. Cassie asks if her father is still there. Stefano nods, saying he is still being treated for his injuries. Cassie asks if it would be ok if she sticks around to visit him and meets him back at home. Stefano says that is fine if that is what she wants. Cassie nods. Stefano embraces her and kisses her on the forehead, saying he will see her at home and to be careful. He tells her that he will send a driver to wait for her outside to take her home. Cassie thanks him and says she will see him later. Stefano bids her goodbye and then motions to Lincoln, who is behind him a short distance, to come closer to him. Stefano asks Lincoln if Orpheus has been located since last night. Lincoln says he hasn't. Stefano orders him to make sure to continue the efforts to locate him as he needs to know if he was in any way affected by Myers and the events of Halloween. Lincoln agrees to the instructions and asks if Stefano wants the car brought around. Stefano says yes. Lincoln nods and then walks off, saying he will call when the car is up front. As he leaves, Stefano privately hopes that all is well with his newfound son, Orpheus. The scene then shifts to... Lucas, who is walking down a hallway when Abe runs him down...with Will!!! An overjoyed Lucas embraces Will, asking where he has been. Will says he was forced into a safehouse on the east side of town and his cell was dead. Abe says he found him in the hospital parking lot on his way in as the National Guard was dropping his group off. Lucas tells Will he is so happy that he is ok. Will says he is happy to see him too after last night and asks if he was hurt. Lucas is about to answer him when Joelle interrupts, sarcastically commenting on what a pretty scene she is witnessing. Lucas tells her to leave them alone and that it isn't a good time to deal with her. Joelle says that's too bad. Abe then interjects and says he is glad Joelle is there. Abe informs her that he has been trying to contact her for hours. Joelle tells him that she was taking care of her son. She didn't want him to be alone with a psycho on the loose so she took him to a safehouse. Abe says she did the right thing. He then adds that there is something she must know...about her mother. Joelle tells Abe she is just about to see her and asks if her condition has changed. Abe hesitates before telling Joelle that her mother was found dead late last night. Joelle breaks down in tears and lets out a blood curdling scream. Abe tells her that Myers got to her while he was loose in the hospital and it seems he slit her throat. Joelle lashes out, blaming Abe and his superiors for not stopping Myers. Abe tries to comfort her but she pushes him away, saying she has to see her mother. Joelle races down the hallway and into her mother's room, only to find officers still surveying the scene. A hysterical Joelle refuses to believe this is happening. Abe says he is sorry. Joelle turns and sees Lucas and Will standing behind her as well. Joelle looks at Lucas and says this is his fault more then anyone else's. Her mother is dead because of him. Lucas and Will are stunned by her reaction as the scene shifts to... A waiting area, where Maggie and Alice are filling Julie in on what happened on Halloween. Julie is appalled and is thankful they are all ok. Victor then walks up and Maggie runs into his arms. They both proclaim their love for each other and how glad they are that they are both ok. Maggie says she was so worried. Victor reminds her that it's going to take more then a mass-murdering psychopath to bring him down. Maggie laughs as Victor pulls her into a kiss. Meanwhile, Doug walks by and locks eyes with Julie. Julie tells Doug she is glad to see he is alright. Doug says he was forced into a safehouse. Julie says she was too. As they continue to look into each other's eyes, Doug says he is glad she made it as well. He then says he has to and races off. Julie's eyes well with tears as she sits down next to Alice and rests her head on Alice's shoulder, while Alice puts her arm around Julie and comforts her. The scene then shifts to... Hope, who is lying in deep thought in her room when someone walks in. It's Steve, who asks if she is ok. Hope snaps out of her trance of thought and asks what he said. Steve tells her that he came in to check on her for Bo and just wanted to know if she was ok. Hope nods, saying she is glad he is there. She tells him what happened with Myers got her to thinking and she has had a change of heart. Hope tells Steve she wants to return to Maison Blanche and wants to do whatever it takes to learn about the missing pieces from her past. Steve is stunned by this turn of events as the scene shifts to... The ER, where Nicole is still rocking Samuel and talking to him. The nurse hangs up the phone and says the other nurse is tied up and that she has to leave. Nicole says it's no problem. She will just stay put right in front of the security guard by the pay phones. The nurse looks over at the guard and goes over to tell the guard to make sure Nicole stays put. The guard nods. The nurse says she will be right back with the nurse she had that can ID her, saying she has the name now. Nicole thanks her and says she will stay put. After the nurse leaves, Alyson exits off an elevator and is shocked to see Nicole holding her son. An enraged Alyson then races over and orders Nicole to get her hands off her son, stunning Nicole as the scene shifts to... The morgue, as Jack and Alex enter with Billie closely behind. Billie stands to the back as Jack and Alex meet with the medical examiner, who asks if they are here to ID a body. Alex is about to say no when Jack interrupts and says yes. Alex asks why Jack is buying this. Jack doesn't answer and gives the medical examiner a description of Elizabeth. The medical examiner says he knows who they are speaking of and goes over to a gurney. He pulls the sheet down slightly to reveal Elizabeth's cold, dead body. Alex can't believe what he is seeing, saying his mother can't be dead. Jack can't stop looking at her and kneels down next to her, commenting on how lifeless she looks and how cold she is. Jack gently caresses Elizabeth's face and asks how this could've happened and why it had to happen now. Billie moves closer and sees that Jack is fighting back tears. The medical examiner says that he assumes this is the person they were looking for. Jack nods, saying her name is Elizabeth Dawson. Jack then looks at her face once more and says he can't do this. He gets up and prepares to pull the cover over her face but stops himself, saying that there is something wrong. The scene then shifts to... MALIBU, CALIFORNIA Forrest tells Abby they need to talk as Dr. Dobbs looks on. Abby says she can see something serious is going on and asks how bad it is. Forrest tells her that Miranda called and Lawrence is closing in. He says this means they need to take action to protect her, her loved ones, and those that Lawrence is targeting. Abby says ok and asks what he is planning on doing. He reminds Abby that with her mother dead, Lawrence plans on using her as the key to his revenge. Abby says she knows that. Forrest tells her that is why he thinks he has the best way of dealing with this, noting what he has in mind is extreme. Abby tells him to come out with what he has in mind. Forrest says there is only one way to deal with this, in his view, and that is to make it so that Lawrence can't marry you. Abby asks how. Forrest then says: Forrest: Abby, marry me!! Abby is stunned as an equally stunned Dr. Dobbs watches and the scene fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... JACK, ALYSON, AND JOELLE'S ANGER EXPLODES!!!
  4. WEEK OF NOVEMBER 5, 2007 EDITION (NOVEMBER SWEEPS EDITION) SPECIAL FEATURE: NOVEMBER SWEEPS PREVIEWS "I know we say this all the time but November is HUGE," says EP/HW Tim Lowery. "We have a nice blend of romance, adventure, action, and drama that is coming. The fantastic events of November will give way to an even better December. The next 8 weeks change everything, much like last year at this time. Stories are amped up and it's very much a case of miss a day, miss alot. This month will culminate in a cataclysmic event that brings nearly all of Salem together. It's gripping and very intense drama that will have fans on the edge of their seats." Orpheus/Sami: "Orpheus is in disarray following the reveal of Stefano as his father. He still has his plans for revenge but he is a bit in shock and that is holding him back just a bit. An encounter with Kate may snap him out of that and may spark chaos in more ways then one. Meanwhile, Sami has all but given up hope that she will see her loved ones again. Also, look for Anna to get involved here when she sticks her nose where it doesn't belong." Bo/Hope/Steve/Kayla: "The events Of Halloween have an affect on everyone, including Hope. While still being weary of her her past feelings for Steve resurfacing, Hope decides that she needs to learn the truth about her time with Steve at Maison Blanche. The two return there with Tony's help and make a shocking discovery that leads to the real truth behind their past being revealed. By the end of the month, fans will see what affect the past will have on them and just how far the feelings between them will go. It just may be a case of the past not being completely in the past. Meanwhile, Bo and Kayla's frustration with their spouses will grow." Billie/Jack/Elizabeth/Alex: "Elizabeth's death changes everything. Jack and Billie shared a close moment on Halloween but Elizabeth's death causes a major rift between them that is even worse then the one they were dealing with before Elizabeth's death. Jack makes a shocking discovery that will lead him and Alex on a journey by month's end, one that will become like an obsession for Jack. This will cause futher problems for him and Billie, who will have her own issues when she gets the shock of her life." Forrest/Abby/Max: "Forrest makes a shocking request of Abby, which leads to a defining moment between her and Max. Meanwhile, Abby's loved ones race against time to "save" her and will learn the truth about Forrest, much like Abby has, by month's end." Lucas/Joelle: "Elma's death turns Joelle from a woman desperate to provide for her mother and child into a woman filled with rage. She now wants to destroy Lucas and take him for all he is worth. A intense confrontation at the end of the month leads to a stunning move by Joelle. Meanwhile, a mysterious presence continues to lurk and Will begins to take notice." Alyson/Nicole: "Jean's is in a coma in the aftermath of Myers' reign of terror. Alyson, who was already coming out of her shell, is driven to the brink when Nicole crosses the line once again. Fans will see a whole new side of her. The frustration and anger insider her boils over and she begins to make others around her the doormat, rather then herself. Things will go from bad to worse for Nicole this month and will really get bad at month's end, driving her to take some desperate measures." Roman/Marlena: "Roman gets the shock of his life and may finally get the change at redemption and revenge. Meanwhile, Barbara wants Marlena to push things to the next level in her therapy but Marlena's focus is on her loved ones, especially around the late part of the month." Abe/Lexie/Celeste: "Lexie is prepared to fight for Theo and to cut all ties to Abe and Celeste but, is she merely putting up a front to cover up her hurt? Meanwhile, things may not be quite over for Abe and Celeste..." Stefano/Cassie/Greta//Tony/Patricia/Anna:"Cassie worries worsen when Greta is finally able to talk to the police about the hit and run. Stefano tries to assure her that it will be ok. Tony and Patricia will strike up a deal and Tony may, ultimately, send his own daughter to prison. Meanwhile, Tony uses Patricia to make Anna jealous." Doug/Julie: "Doug is determined to leave Salem but why hasn't he yet? Julie and others begin to question this and Doug begins to wonder himself why he can't bring himself to leave. Could there be hope for Doug and Julie? This month begins to give fans an inclination of whether that is the case." Belle/Philip: "Things begin to soften between them but there is still alot of damage there." BREAKING NEWS: SPECIAL SUNDAY EPISODE OF SALEM LIVES PLANNED FOR NOVEMBER SWEEPS!!! For the first time in the history of Salem Lives, the blog will air a special Sunday episode on Sunday November 18. The episode will be posted around 8PM EST that night and will center around a gala event thrown by Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) and Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) to honor the new hospital wing dedicated in Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Eric Brady's (Jensen Ackles) memories. "This episode will be similar to that of the classic Days primetime episodes in the 90's," says EP/HW Tim Lowery. "It will have a primetime feel to it because, essentially, it is a primetime episode. We are only calling it a Sunday episode because we post our episodes usually in primetime so we can't call this a primetime episode really." (laughs) Sources say the episode will involve most of the cast and will feature several critical plot twists. "It's the centerpiece of sweeps for us," Lowery admits. "There is a storm that causes a blackout and then passion will ignite, a family will get the shock of their lives, and a shocking revelation will take place. It's huge and it sets up what is to be one of our most gripping, intense weeks ever." Again, the special Sunday episode event is Sunday November 18 and the episode will be posted around 8PM EST. The episode will be of a longer length then usual but Lowery assures fans it will be worth it. "It's an episode no one should miss," Lowery enthuses. Sources also confirm the episode will also include an exclusive promo of the big week that will follow the episode. "Fans will already be hyped but that will hype them even more," Lowery promises. WRITER'S CORNER (SPECIAL HALLOWEEN EVENT EDITION) THIS WEEK MARKS THE EIGHTH EDITION OF THE WEEKLY SL INSIDER FEATURE, "THE WRITER'S CORNER." EACH WEEK I, TIM LOWERY (BETTER KNOWN AS PHOENIXRISING05), AND MY FELLOW SALEM LIVES HEAD WRITER, PATRICK L. EWING (BETTER KNOWN AS ROMAN), WILL TAKE TIME OUT TO ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM READERS AND ANYONE ELSE THAT DECIDES TO CHECK OUR FAN FICTION BLOG OUT. WE WILL TAKE TURNS ANSWERING QUESTIONS EACH WEEK. THESE QUESTIONS CAN BE QUESTIONS ABOUT CASTING, WRITING, PAST STORIES, CURRENT STORIES, OR WHATEVER COMES TO MIND REALLY PERTAINING TO SALEM LIVES. PLEASE REMEMBER TO PM US QUESTIONS DURING THE WEEK FOR US TO ANSWER AND ALSO REMEMBER YOU CAN POST QUESTIONS VIA COMMENTING HERE IN THE BLOG. IF WE RECEIVE NO QUESTIONS, ROMAN AND I WILL JUST ANSWER QUESTIONS BASED ON REACTIONS TO EPISODES AND DISCUSSIONS WE HAVE HAD WITH OTHERS. SO, WITHOUT FURTHER ADIEU, HERE WE GO: THIS WEEK'S WRITER IN THE HOT SHEET: PATRICK L. EWING (ROMAN) DISHES ON THE HALLOWEEN EVENT THAT ROCKED SALEM!! SLI: You wrote the entire Halloween week event. How do you feel sitting at the end of that? A: Tired as hell. (laughs) I now see what folks go through when they write all that stuff by themselves and have great respect for them. My only hope is that once readers sat down and read each episode, they enjoyed it. I think it was a crossover that worked but it was also written to push story. That was the main reason to write it. It should be the main reason to write anything. SLI: Hardly anyone died. Why is that? A: Oh, the body count was high. No huge players did. We still have a blog to write. (laughs) You don’t kill off characters in something like this if you have story to tell. Also, you don’t kill off characters just because, because if you decide to bring them back, THEN it looks like some cheap stunt. They were not killed off now.......but stay tuned. SLI: How will November Sweeps be effected? A: The ball keeps on rolling. Things will happen that will push story for the next year. All of our stuff is planned out way before hand. Only small points are handled on the fly. But, everything that is written must make sense and, when it doesn’t, it will be discussed and then agreed upon that something that doesn’t make sense won’t happen again. What is about to happen will make sense. Trust me. SLI: The cursing has been way up on the blog. Will that continue? A: It will be used when needed. It is always used to enhance each character who uses it but every character won’t curse now. Alice will not flip out and just start using expletives just because. It’s out of character for her. That’s how it will be done from now on. SLI: What is coming up during November Sweeps? A: Boy...(laughs) Do you honestly expect me to tell you anything? (laughs) I guarantee........this November will be romantic, exciting, emotional.........and it will give the readers what they want. COMINGS AND GOINGS GOING Kathryn Joosten (Elma Young): The recurring actress's run ended a little shorter then expected when it was revealed her character met her maker at the hands of Micheal Myers on November 2. "I'm sad we didn't get to use her in a more active role," sighs EP/HW Tim Lowery. "She's great and all we really did with her was have her lay there. The plan was for more but things happen and, sadly, we had to end her run." PREVIEWS AND PEEKS INTO WEEK OF 11/5/07 -A Defeated Salem Tries To Recover. -Jack Reaches His Breaking Point. -Maison Blanche Receives Two Mysterious Visitors. -Can Her Family Stop Abby In Time? -Two People Take One Step Closer.......To Each Other. -Shocking news Reaches Salem! Next Week -A Father & Daughter Bond. -A Life Changing Discovery Is Made, And......... -Salem Prepares For A Huge Gala! Catching Up With: Michael T. Weiss SLI sits down with the actor who played Mike Horton during DOOL’s popular 80's period and asks him if he would like to come to SL, what happened after The Pretender went off the air, and what he thinks of the state of daytime television. SLI: Thanks for sitting down with us. Question one. Would you do a stint on SL if asked? MTW: Well, thanks for having me. They already have a great guy who plays the role and right now, it seems that they have no story for Mike on their show. If asked and no one else is available, sure, it would be great fun. SLI: What did you do after The Pretender left the airwaves? MTW: Became a bum. (laughs) No. One of the things that you really have to realize being in this business is that things happen. I loved that show and the fans did as well. It should have went on longer than what it did and, when it was cancelled, it was a blow. I did some theater work and am now looking to get back on the horse television-wise and see what’s out there. I have heard the rumors about bringing the show back on another network. All I have to say to that is.........stay tuned. SLI: What do you think of the state of daytime television? MTW: (Sighs)You know, I’m going to try and be nice here. The industry needs a serious make-over. I truly believe that fans are just about sick and tired of seeing some of the crap they have been seeing. Also, I don’t know why there is such a dependency on pushing the younger actors at the expense of veterans that have been with shows for many, many years. There is a daytime network president at ABC who has shown some serious disrespect to the vets on those shows and has made statements that have pushed away long time viewers. How he keeps his job is beyond me. Daytime T.V. can be fixed. If they would look at some of the blogs that are being written, by fans mind you, they can see what people like and don’t like. All this stuff with vampires, serial killers, and DOOL becoming "Soap Of The Living Dead" has pissed them off. The arrogance needs to leave the hierarchy of daytime television and, when that happens, soap fans will come back in droves. They just have to have something good to come back to. SLI: Thanks for your time, Michael. MTW: My pleasure.

  6. NIGHT OF TERROR, PART VI EMERGENCY CRISIS CENTER Two hours have now past since Elizabeth’s body was found. Most of Salem is deserted. Residents have either bolted their homes up or just left Salem outright until Michael Myers is found..........or killed, if he can be. In an emergency crisis center, Roman is sitting on a makeshift table, being bandaged up, and receives a call from Marlena, who asks him if he is ok. Through his still hoarse voice, he says he’s sleeping for a week if he survives this. Marlena then asks if any word has come on his capture. Roman tells her no. Roman then says he has to go..........Abe and Bo just walked in. They say their I love yous and, after he hangs up the phone, Roman puts his shirt on, looks at Abe and says......... Roman: What’s the word, partner? Abe: Wow. This man..........this is the file from his late doctor, Sam Loomis. Roman and Bo look at the file and then look back at Abe, with Bo asking....... Bo: No wonder we can’t bring him down. Elizabeth didn’t have a chance. Roman: Oh no..........she’s dead? Bo: Billie found her in the middle of the road out on Route 14 a few hours ago...........with her neck broken. Roman: Damn. This is nuts. Just then, a S.P.D. officer runs in, telling the group that another woman was found dead in the hospital. Lucas walks in to hear the news and, when the officer gives Abe the name........it is revealed that it was Joelle’s mother, Elma, who was found with her throat cut. A National Guardsman was also found dead outside the hospital with a broken neck. Abe walks past the men, flabbergasted. Bo says that now is the time to find Myers and stop him for good. Roman agrees. Abe tells the officer that everyone whose in goes back out.........with orders to find Myers and stop him..........by any means necessary. The three men look at each other and then silently walk to a squad car, get in, and take off into the night. BRADY PUB Caroline grabs her bag and begins to head out. She walks down the stairs and into the Pub........and hears a door close in the back kitchen. She stops, turns, and looks back toward the kitchen area. But, she has seen her share of horror movies and, instead of investigating, turns back around and heads for the door. When she opens it, she is scared out of her shoes when she sees both Nico and Steve, along with Max, standing in front of her........and brandishing guns. She asks if they are looking for Myers and Steve says yes. Nico then adds that Victor wanted her to be safe. She says she ducked out and came home by herself. Kayla has been calling and Kimberly called from overseas when she heard the news. Max is shocked that it has reached all the way over there. Caroline answers yes. Then she says she doesn’t want to stand around there talking.......they can do this on the road. Max says he’ll get her out of town and let Abe know that Steve and Nico are checking the Pub out. When they separate, Steve and Nico go inside the Pub and start to look around. ORPHEUS' PENTHOUSE Sami hears commotion on the other side of her door. She tries to listen and, when she gets close to the door, it flies open, almost hitting her in the face. Orpheus comes barging in, saying that she has to be moved for the time being until Myers is found. She agrees, which makes Orpheus tell her that she better not think this is her chance to escape. Sami asks where Orpheus is taking her. He says......... Orpheus: None of your business. Now get moving. Sami: This guy must be a serious threat if you are risking moving me. Orpheus: He’s...........a killing machine. I, personally, don’t think he can be stopped. So..........that’s why you’re going. Now, stop your whining and lets go. Orpheus grabs Sami by the arm, takes her to the door, and instructs one of his men to put her in his personal car. He’ll get her out of Salem. And, he leaves orders for him to be notified the second Myers is found so she can be transferred back. The man obeys and takes Sami away as Orpheus closes the door. BRADY PUB Steve walks back from the kitchen while Nico comes back in from outside. He tells Steve he didn’t see a thing. Steve says he’s just glad that Max got Caroline out of town. They both then look to the door to see Bo and Roman walking in........ And that’s when Michael stands up from behind the bar, reaches over, grabs Steve, and holds him in a vice like grip. Steve struggles as Nico picks up a chair, swings it, and sends it crashing on top of Michael’s head, making him break his grip on Steve. He breaks free as Bo says it looks like he is weakening and Roman pulls his gun, stating...... Roman: Time to take him out, boys! Bo and Roman start shooting at Myers, sending bullets and glass flying everywhere. Myers collapses behind the bar as smoke fills the air. Nico picks Steve up and gets him out of the building as Roman and Bo look at each other........and then slowly start walking toward the bar. When they reach it,.......they look down to see Michael lying very still. Bo tells Roman not to get close. He looks like he’s still breathing. Bo then gets on his cell phone and calls for backup. As Bo walks away from Roman, Roman looks down at Michael and then, for some reason......... Goes and checks on him! When he slowly bends down, he places his fingers on Michael’s neck, checking for a pulse. What he ends up seeing is the sudden reaction of Myers as he lifts his head and then moves with incredible quickness, grabbing Roman by the shirt and tossing him off of him. Bo hears the noise of Roman crashing into one of the tables and starts to walk back over to the bar...... But is now standing face to face with Michael. He then stares at Michael, right before hitting him with four consecutive punches hard. Of course, this does not faze Myers and he grabs Bo by his jacket, picks him up........and sends him flying through the air, right before he crashes on top of a table. As both Bo and Roman lay unconscious on the floor, Michael turns and quietly leaves the Pub through the back door. A few minutes later, Steve and Nico walk back into the Pub to see the destruction and then hear one of the cars start up and drive off. Nico goes and checks on Bo while Steve gets his cell phone and calls Abe. Roman starts to stir as Steve tells Abe....... Steve: He was here, Abe. And he’s just stolen a car. Abe and Steve talk for a few moments more and, after Steve hangs up, the scene then fades into......... ORPHEUS' CAR (STREETS OF SALEM) Orpheus is driving Sami to another location. Orpheus tells Sami to stop talking for just a few minutes. Sami will not listen, saying....... Sami: You better stop this car before I jump out! Orpheus: You would kill yourself?! Sami: I might as well be dead. My family thinks I am and you’re so busy playing this sick game with my dad that you’ve lost your mind. What the hell do I have to live for?! Orpheus: You are NOT the trouble you’re worth. So, if you don’t keep quiet,........I’ll kill you myself. Sami: More threats from the big man, huh? Well, let me show you......... And at that moment, someone smashes into the back of Orpheus’s car. Orpheus tries to keep control but the car is slammed into again. When Sami looks through the back window.......... She sees the masked face of Michael Myers. Myers drives along side of the car and then jerks his car to the left, smashing into the side of Orpheus’ car. Sami screams as Michael hits the car again. A very determined Orpheus tries to fight fire with fire, smashing his car into Michael’s car, but it has no effect. This continues for a half mile and, when Sami has had enough, she reaches over to Orpheus, grabs his gun.......... And fires at Michael. One shot hits Michael in the neck and, just when Sami aims the gun at Orpheus,........Michael sends his car one last time into Orpheus’s car and that last hit sends both cars off the road and crashing down the embankment. Orpheus and Sami are thrown free from the car and Michael’s car tumbles end over end, finally crashing into a tree..........and exploding several seconds later. Fifteen minutes later, Roman and Bo are driving along that same stretch of road when Bo spots a bright light. The men keep on driving and they soon reach the crash site. Roman jumps out and races down to the crash site as Bo radios in and says they have found a two-car wreck and to get people out there now. When Roman reaches the burning car, the flames are so intense that he can’t see inside. He then looks around...........and sees no one there. Bo then comes up behind him and Roman asks........ Roman: Is that one of Victor’s cars? Bo: Sure is. Roman: Yeah.........the one that Myers took. Both men stand and watch the car burn as the scene goes up into the night sky......... And the turns to daylight where firefighters finish putting out the fire. As troops and officers move about, Abe walks up to Bo and Roman, who are joined by Steve, as they watch the scene from the top of the ravine. Abe looks at the men as Roman asks: Roman: Is that it, Abe? Abe: I............. Steve: What are you saying, dude? Abe: I just talked to one of the firefighters. There was no one in either car. Bo: You mean he got away........again?! Abe: Looks that way. Roman: So now what do we do? Abe: Wait, hope...........and pray............that if he is alive and he comes back, that the next time........ We’re ready for him. The group of men look at the wreckage once again as the scene fades......... To an unconscious Sami, laying in the backseat of one of Orpheus’ cars as it drives down the road. Orpheus thanks his trusted assistant for saving him and Sami. He then says, as he bandages his arm..... Orpheus: The long night is over. But the war..........the war, is just beginning. The car is then seen driving off into the morning skyline as the scene pans upward......... And then slowly fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... SALEM REELS FROM THE AFTERMATH OF THE NIGHT OF TERROR!!
  7. NIGHT OF TERROR, PART V UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Police officers, National Guardsmen and Illinois State Troopers run throughout the building, searching for Michael Myers. Kate runs into the hallway and demands to know where Lucas is. Max stops her and tells her that he took most of the women out of Salem until Myers is caught........or killed. Kate says that she has been hearing reports that Myers has been injured but, for some reason, he keeps escaping. Billie then walks up and says they need to get out of the hospital now. It’s a madhouse.......and the police know that Michael is in the building. Kate, Billie and Max turn to walk out and Jack sees this. He stops Billie and asks if she will be ok. Billie smiles and then steps toward Jack. They look at each other as she leans in.......and gently kisses him. They then both hug each other warmly and Jack tells her that they need to sit down and talk when this is over. Billie smiles, as a tear rolls down her face. Jack wipes it away, like the gentleman he is, and then both women are lead out by a NG trooper. The scene shifts to a darkened hallway as Roman runs about, checking rooms. He then gets a phone call. It’s Belle and she asks her father....... Belle: What’s going on, Daddy? Roman: Listen to me, baby. Where ever you are........I want you to get Claire and get in your car, leave Salem, and don’t come back until you hear from me or your mother, ok? Belle: But Daddy........ Roman: Just do as I say! I...........I would never be able to forgive myself if anything happened to you, ok? Belle: (After a pause) Ok, Daddy. I’ll go. You please be careful. I love you. Roman: I love you too, baby. They both hang up and, at that moment, the elevator stops on Roman’s floor. He turns to see the floor light activate and then slowly walks over to the elevator, with his weapon drawn. As he reaches the door, he aims his gun and, with a steel determination, watches as the door slowly opens........ To reveal the unconscious body of Jean. Blood is everywhere and her eyes are still open. Roman is aghast, so aghast that he doesn’t see The Shape walking behind him. Michael stops for a second, turns, looks at Roman, and then heads around the corner and slowly stalks down the hallway. Roman walks into the elevator, bends down and looks into Jean’s eyes. He then gives the sign of The Cross and asks God to grant her peace. As he stands back up, he radios downstairs and tells Abe that Jean is coming back down. He found her barely alive. He then turns suddenly.......and is shocked and scared out of his pants by the sight of Tony DiMera in front of him. He demands to know..... Roman: What the hell are you doing here, Tony?! Tony: Thought I could lend my former brother a hand. Where is this foul creature? Roman: Somewhere in the building. Which is where you shouldn’t be. Tony: You need all the help you can get. Roman: I can arrest you. Tony: No, you can’t. You’re no longer a police officer. Besides..........it’s all over the country that this Myers person killed many of Salem’s finest tonight. Roman: And you think you can help stop him. Tony: Somebody has to. Roman starts to tell Tony to get out of the building when they both hear a noise from around the corner. They both turn and then look at each other. Roman radios down that he just heard a noise and is going to check it out. He then tells Tony to stay behind him. Tony agrees, saying...... Tony: I’m brave........but not that brave. Both men start through the waiting area and then slowly start down the hallway. As the two men walk deliberately down the hallway, they look into each room on either side of the hall. After a few very tense moments, they start getting close to the end of the hallway......but neither sees that Michael has walked out of one of the rooms Tony just looked in and is now walking behind them. When they stop, he stops. When they walk, he walks. It’s almost like a game to Michael now. As the men make it to the end of the hallway, they both look at each other and breathe a sigh of relief. As they turn..........they both see Michael standing in front of them. Roman aims his gun and fires, hitting Michael, but it doesn’t faze him once again. Michael takes three huge steps forward and grabs both men by the throat. He lifts both men off the ground, showing his incredible strength. He then tilts his head to the left.......and then to the right, almost as if he’s admiring a painting. Michael then looks at Tony...... And with one mighty heave, sends him crashing through a glass window, onto a operating table, and then falling down to the floor, bloody..........and unconscious. Michael then turns his attention back to Roman as he starts to squeeze his throat with a vice-like grip. Roman fights for dear life and starts to lose consciousness. His eyes start to roll into the back of his head............ When Steve, Bo, Abe and Nico come around the corner. All four men pull weapons and take aim. Michael hears them and turns around........with a choking Roman in his hands. Abe orders them not to fire and then Michael looks at the men, then back at Roman.......... And sends him crashing through a glass window on the opposite side of the hallway. An unconscious Roman falls onto a operating table and then slowly falls to the floor. Michael then turns and briskly walks to the stairwell as the four men give chase. Michael reaches the stairwell and closes the door behind him.........and then breaks the door knob off. He then punches the doorknob until the door is basically sealed. The men reach the door but can’t get through. Bo looks through the door to see Michael slowly walk down the stairs.........and disappear. Nico and Steve say they are going after him as Abe radios downstairs about the situation. Bo goes into the operating room to check on his fallen and injured brother. Bo gets him to come to and Roman’s voice is very hoarse from the choking he just received. Roman can barely move and Bo goes and grabs a towel and holds it on his bleeding wound on his back. Roman tells Bo that they have to find Myers before he kills someone else. Bo knows that but says the best thing to do now is get the hell out of the hospital. Bo knows he can’t take Myers on by himself. Roman agrees and Bo gently picks his brother up as they both head out the door and back down the hallway. Meanwhile, Elizabeth walks outside the hospital. Alex comes up behind her, frightening her. Alex says he’s sorry and Elizabeth tells him to never do that again. Alex then tells her that he got a state trooper to do him a favor and take her to a safe house for now. Elizabeth says she will not leave him in Salem alone. Alex reminds her that, thanks to her, he’s there with his father. They will look after each other. The trooper comes by and asks if she is ready. Mother and son look at each other........and then hug warmly. Alex looks at her again and simply says....... Alex: See you soon, Mother. Elizabeth: Ok, my son. The state trooper whisks Elizabeth off, puts her in the front seat of a squad car, gets in himself, and they both drive off into the night as Alex watches the car leave. He then turns and sprints towards Jack and Billie, who are standing by her car. He tells them both that his mother is safe. Jack thanks him for getting Elizabeth out of town and then he turns to Billie before she can react and says to her....... Jack: Now it’s time to get you to safety. Billie: No..........I’m not leaving you. Not now. Jack: Dammit, Billie........ Billie: NO........Jack. I..........I care about you too much, ok? Jack looks at her for a few moments and then smiles. He then hugs her, looks at her again......and gently kisses her on the lips. He then opens her car door and, reluctantly, Billie gets in. She then starts up her car, looks at both men for the last time.........and drives off. Jack and Alex look at each other and then jog back towards the hospital. As they reach the door, they see Bo bringing an injured Roman out of the hospital. They run up to them and ask what happened. Bo says Michael Myers is what happened. He then says that Tony is still inside, upstairs in one of the operating rooms, and both Jack and Alex run into the hospital. As the scene watches the men run into the building, it shifts to......... ORPHEUS'S PENTHOUSE Sami is watching MSNBC. She is terrified at what is happening in Salem and, as Orpheus walks into her room, she asks him if this Michael Myers has been caught. Orpheus looks at her........and tells her no. She then sees that for the first time, he seems very worried. She asks him if this man CAN be stopped and Orpheus doesn’t answer her. He then turns and tells her that state troopers, local police, Stefano’s men, his men and Victor’s men are all out looking for him and, if he has anything to say about it, Myers will be brought in....... Alive.........or dead. With that, Orpheus leaves Sami alone in her room. Sami then goes and sits back down, watching everything as it unfolds........and praying for her family. STREETS OF SALEM (RT. 14) The state trooper drives Elizabeth out of town. He looks at her and smiles, saying that she is in good hands and that she has nothing to worry about. As Elizabeth smiles back at him, she then asks if he left something in his back seat. When the trooper asks why, Elizabeth says that something back there is hitting on the floor. The trooper then looks at Elizabeth, back at the road, and then at her again. When Elizabeth turns her head to see what it may be....... Michael Myers sits up in the backseat, grabs Elizabeth by each side of her head, and pulls her into the backseat with one motion. The state trooper tries to stop Michael and drive the car at the same time but it is all for naught. As Elizabeth struggles to free herself from this monster, Michael looks at her........and jerks her head to one side, snapping her neck, and killing her instantly. He then opens the back car door.......... And pushes her out of the moving vehicle. After he closes the door, he turns his rage toward the screaming state trooper......... As Billie comes driving down the same road. She looks down the road and the sight she sees makes he gasp. She slams on her breaks, jumps out of her car, and sprints down the dark, moonlit road...........to see Elizabeth’s lifeless body laying on the pavement. She bends down and checks her pulse but can tell from the looks of her that she’s dead. She then gets on her cell phone and calls Bo and all she can say is......... Billie: Bo? Billie. I just found Elizabeth dead in the middle of the street. I'm on Route 14. You better tell everyone...........Michael got out of the hospital and, if he isn’t caught soon.......... Then NO ONE is safe in Salem. The scene then freeze frames on Billie’s shocked face as she kneels over Elizabeth and looks down the road.............. As it slowly fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... THE NIGHT OF TERROR'S DRAMATIC CONCLUSION!!!
  8. NIGHT OF TERROR, PART IV UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Ninety minutes later, after leaving the Kiriakis mansion, Bo and Roman walk into Victor’s room. Bo asks how he’s doing and a bandaged Victor says it hurts like hell but other than that. He then asks if Greta is ok. Bo says she’s doing fine. But, they had to stop her from getting out of her bed to come and see him. Victor thanks Bo and Roman. Roman says that he has to go check on some people and he’ll be right back. After he leaves, Bo sits down for a moment, saying that he guesses the war with Stefano and Orpheus is put on hold. Victor says it is..........for now. Once this Myers business is dealt with, then the DiMeras get dealt with and, as the scene fades on Victor........ It goes to an arriving Stefano, who storms right up to Abe in one of the outer hallways. He demands to know how all of this has happened. Abe tells him to ask the D.A. and the judge who let Myers out. As the men walk into the main waiting room, Stefano wants to know what Abe will do about it. Abe says first, he will walk away from Stefano...........before he forgets he’s a cop and, second, he’ll find Myers and bring him in,............dead or alive. As Abe leaves a steaming Stefano, Cassie and Alyson walk around the corner. Stefano and Cassie hug as he asks if she is ok. Cassie says she’s scared but other than that, she’s fine. Alyson gives Sam to a nurse and asks if they can look at him. He seems as though he’s burning up. The nurse takes Sam and leaves for the ER as Caroline walks in and hugs Alyson. Jean follows in as well and they both ask how everything is going. Alyson tells them that Myers has done some serious damage. People are either dead or injured. Steve then walks in and confirms what Alyson said. Caroline asks if Kayla is ok and Steve says she is, although she won’t admit how scared she is right now. Stefano says everyone is frightened, to which Steve responds that he’s surprised Stefano isn’t behind this. A shocked Stefano wonders how Steve could think of such a thing and Steve says for him to look at himself and Roman. Two men he tried to control. Before Stefano can respond, Bo wheels a groggy Hope out into the hallway. Everyone is happy to see her ok. She says she has Roman to thank. If it wasn’t for him, she might be dead. She then asks if anyone knows where Myers is. Bo says they left him for dead at the mansion but they were wrong about that. Steve then looks at Stefano and asks him how he would have felt if Hope would have been killed tonight. Stefano has had enough and lunges at Steve, who has to be held back by Bo. Lucas, Lincoln, Roman and Abe all run in and separate the men, with Lucas saying that they can resume their fight after Myers is caught. Lincoln agrees, saying there will be more than enough time for everyone to kill each other. Steve and Stefano stare daggers of hatred at each other. At that moment, out in the parking lot, Jack and Billie get out of her car and look toward the hospital. They see all the guards and news crews in front, reporting nationally on Myers’ escape and his rampage thus far. Jack thanks Billie for the lift and says this will be a huge story. Billie looks at him, shaking her head and saying that now is not the time for that. She’s surprised he hasn’t rushed over to see how Elizabeth is doing. As Jack looks at her, both Elizabeth and Alex drive up in his Lambourgini. As they get out, Billie throws up her hands, telling Jack.......... Billie: Damn. Do they have me bugged or something?! The duo tell Jack that since they saw the news reports, they both figured it would be safe at the hospital. Jack agrees and so does Billie, reluctantly. The group then walk toward the hospital........ As a dark figure stalks toward the back entrance. As The Shape slowly makes his way to the entrance...... Jack, Billie, Elizabeth and Alex push past the police officers and into the hospital. National Guard troops are ordered to the police station. Roman and Abe come downstairs and stop the group, with Abe saying....... Abe: There’s no story yet, ok, Jack? Jack: Abe, come on now. A mass murderer is loose in Salem, people are turning up dead, one forth of your officers were killed tonight, Myers hasn’t been caught.........and you tell me there’s no story. Be real, Abe. Abe: I am, Jack! And I don’t have time for this. Roman: And also.........do NOT interview anyone inside. Just be a friend right now, Jack. Not a reporter. Alex looks at his father and admires what Jack says next........ Jack: Then take this for right now (Handing Abe his notepad) and point me in the right direction. Roman tells them where family and friends are and the group separates as the scene shifts to.......... Marlena, who walks in the hallway outside her office with the officer Roman assigned to protect her. The officer says they need to get going or her husband will have his hide. Marlena looks at him and tells him everything will be ok. At that moment, they both hear something down the hall. The officer tells Marlena to wait near the elevators as he goes and checks it out. As Marlena walks down the hall, she does not notice the huge figure standing perfectly still as she passes him. Michael looks at Marlena as she goes toward the elevators........ And then turns the other way and slowly walks down the hallway...........toward the police officer. Moments later, the officer slowly walks down another darkened hallway. He turns a corner and sees.........nothing. Just a unused gurney. He walks into one of the empty operating rooms and looks around. He then walks over to a light and flicks it on...........not noticing Michael standing inside the room with him. Michael then reaches up..........and turns the light back off. This makes the officer’s blood run cold with fear as he slowly turns around to look toward the doorway. He doesn’t see Michael, who disappears into the cover of darkness. As the officer slowly walks over to the door, he turns his back to Michael...........and knocks over a tool tray. He bends down to pick it up and, when he stands back up, he places the tray on the desk beside him. He then turns the light back on......... And comes face to face with Michael Myers!! On the other end of the hallway, Marlena keeps looking down the hall, waiting for the officer. She then decides to go down the elevator by herself. As she pushes the button, she hears a loud crash that makes her jump and grab her heart with fear.......... As the scene shifts to the outside,..........where the police officer has just been thrown through the window. He sails down to the ground below and hits a parked car, blowing out every window on the vehicle in a loud explosion. The dead officer’s eyes are still open as blood runs from open wounds on his body......... Especially his cut throat. The scene then shifts quickly back.......... To Marlena, who starts to slowly walk down the hall. She starts to head toward where the crash came from. She clutches her purse as she slowly steps down the hallway. As she reaches the end of the hallway, she turns...........and sees the window that the officer was thrown through. She slowly walks over to the window and looks out,..........only to see the dead officer laying on top of a car. She gasps in horror at the sight and turns to run............ And stares cold terror into the blackened eyes.............of Michael Myers! Michael reaches out and tries to grab Marlena but she ducks his deadly grasp. She then crawls along the ground and screams at the top of her lungs as she kicks her shoes off and runs down the hallway towards the elevators. Once she makes it there, she bangs on the buttons, trying to get the door to activate. Michael then turns and stalks down the hallway toward Marlena. She is using all of her strength now, crying and screaming for the damn door to open. Michael is close to her and, as he nears a terrified Marlena...........the door opens........... And in slow motion, out steps one Stefano DiMera, brandishing a gun! Marlena grabs onto Stefano as he takes his deadly aim........and fires at point blank range at Michael, once again, sending him down to his knees and then backwards,........as he collapses to the floor. Marlena faints in Stefano’s arms and he picks her up and carries her onto the elevator. Once the doors open to the ER floor, Stefano carries an unconscious Marlena to a gurney, calling for help. Doctors and nurses rush over and Marlena’s family and friends rush over to see what has happened. Roman and Abe walk in and Roman asks what Stefano did to his lady. Stefano simply says..... Stefano: I saved her life, Roman. That maniac was about to kill her. I was on my way up to look for Cassie when I heard her screaming. Roman: You expect me to believe that? Stefano: I don’t give a damn WHAT you believe. Roman walks over and stares directly into Stefano’s eyes. Abe then slowly walks over and stands next to him, followed by Steve and a returning Bo. Stefano is joined by some of his men........ And Orpheus, of all people, who stands behind his newfound father. Everyone stares at each other and, after a few very tense moments,..........Roman nods his head at Stefano, who accepts his thanks by nodding back. At that moment, Tony, Anna and Max walk into the hallway. The men slowly disperse and Orpheus disappears around the corner. Abe says that Michael is in the building. Bo sees that and, as Hope is wheeled out into the hallway, he turns and tells Lucas that he has to get the women out of harm’s way. Lucas says he’ll take Maggie, Alice and Caroline out of Salem until they find and stop Myers. At that moment, the Commander of the National Guard Division that is in Salem walks in, telling the group that his men will evacuate as many people as possible. Abe thanks him and the Commander orders his Colonel to snap to it and get it going. The Colonel gets on his radio and starts ordering his men to start evacuating the hospital. Hope is wheeled out and her and Bo hold hands. They look lovingly into each other’s eyes...........because they know this may be the last time they see each other. After Hope is pulled away, Marlena is brought out. Roman walks over and kisses her on the forehead and she is then taken away. Kayla is wheeled out and sees Steve, who walks over to her and simply says...... Steve: You take care, Sweetness. And know this..........I love you so very much. Kayla: I love you too, baby. I’ll see you soon. The nurse wheels Kayla away as Jean runs into the hallway. She is looking for Alyson, who then comes around the corner. Both she and Cassie are crying as Stefano runs up and grabs Cassie. He asks both girls where they have been and Cassie calms down long enough to answer........ Cassie: Well, we got on an elevator and got off on the wrong floor. I had to go back up to my room, and Alyson went with me. We were walking in the dark........when we saw this huge man with a white mask walking down the hall. We ducked into a room and closed the door. The man stopped at the door.........and tried to open it. He opened it a little ways......and then must have heard something because he let the door close and walked away. Oh, Grandfather.........we were so scared........ Stefano grabs Cassie and holds her while Jean goes and takes Alyson into her arms. She tells Alyson that they have to get out of Salem until this man is caught. Alyson agrees and Jean starts over to the elevators. Alyson walks close behind her but, after she pushes the button, the door opens......... And reveals a bloody Michael Myers standing in front of Jean! Jean lets out a scream as Michael grabs her by the head........and throws her against the elevator wall behind him. The door slowly closes as Michael grabs Jean’s head........and starts smashing it against the wall. Alyson lets out a ear-piercing scream and the men come running towards the door........but the door closes. Roman orders his men to get to each elevator opening and, as he pulls his gun and takes off running, Alyson collapses into Cassie's arms......... As the scene slowly fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... MORE.........OF THE NIGHT *HE* CAME TO SALEM!!!
  9. NIGHT OF TERROR, PART III HORTON HOUSE As Michael brings the knife down, Lucas slams the door shut and braces himself against it. He then looks at Maggie, yelling at her to get herself and Alice out of the house now. As Maggie turns Alice around, a loud crash is heard and glass goes flying everywhere. Michael has punched through the glass on the front door and starts trying to grab at Lucas as Maggie reaches the back door with Alice. Lucas rolls across the floor as Michael comes crashing through the door, sending glass and wood frame everywhere. As Michael stands above Lucas, Maggie takes Alice around the side of the house and puts her in the car. Maggie then runs around to the other side of the car and gets in. As she sits in her car, she looks for her keys.............which she then terrifyingly realizes she left inside the house! Maggie looks at Alice and tells her the grim news as Alice says that they better get out of the car and try to get out of there the best way they can. As Maggie reaches for the door handle, she and Alice scream in terror as the door flies open...........to reveal a bloody Lucas standing in front of them. He jumps into the car, with blood running down the back of his right shoulder from a knife wound. He takes out Maggie’s keys and puts them in the ignition as Maggie and Alice yell for him to get going. When he starts the car and puts it in drive,............a huge hand crashes through the passenger car window, trying to grab at Alice. Maggie stops Michael from grabbing her as Lucas guns the engine......... And peels out of the driveway. Michael tries to hang on but Maggie and Alice fight for dear life...........and, as both women keep knocking his right hand away, they finally break free of him..........and leave him standing in the middle of the street as he coldly watches the trio drive off into the cold, dark night. UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Bo comes running in and heads toward the ER rooms. Roman runs down the hall and stops him from going in, saying that Hope is resting but doing well. When Bo asks how bad she is, Roman says the doctor will be out to fill him in but that it doesn’t look serious. Just then, both men start to see police and paramedics bringing in Kayla on a gurney, with Steve following closely behind. As they take Kayla into another ER room, he joins the other men at the nurses station. Abe then walks in and Steve turns to see him. He stops Abe and demands to know......... Steve: Who in the HELL was that that who tried to off us tonight, man?! Abe: It’s a long story, Steve. Bo: Well, we have some time. Fill us in. Abe sighs deeply and starts to tell them what happened........ Abe: Look. You know what happened on Halloween Night, 1978. Bo: Yeah. He flipped out, came back to Haddonfield, and started killing people for no reason. Abe: That’s not the whole story. Steve: GET ON WITH IT, MAN! Abe: Ok. Ok, Steve. I was working on the P.D. at the time and me and another officer were assigned to go to Haddonfield, read up on his case, and recommend if he should be locked away in prison or if he should transferred. Bo: And what won out? Roman: Guess. Based on...........OUR recommendation........ Steve and Bo look at each other......... Roman: We thought he was going to stay at Smith’s Groove until the day he died. I guess some judge thought differently because yesterday he was ordered transferred.........and look where we are now. Bo: And you didn’t say anything? Roman: Aye, Bo...........how was I supposed to know he would escape? Steve: He escaped before, Roman. Damn, man...........he killed 16 people that night. You should have said something. Abe: I know, but..........out of sight.......... Bo: Out of mind. I can see that. Abe: Roman........myself, Steve & Bo are going back to the P.D. to coordinate things. You stay here and watch over things from here, ok? Roman: You got it, Abe. Abe: Ok, let’s roll. The three men leave the hospital as Roman sees officers walk in. He says Commissioner Carver deputized him and left him in charge. He instructs them to set up a perimeter around the hospital and to make sure no one gets into the ER area without permission from the hospital staff. As the officers leave, Roman goes to find Marlena, who is sitting in her office finishing up......... Roman: Aye, Doc. Marlena: (Looking up) Oh, hi..........oh Lord. I’ve seen that look before. Roman: Doc, I’ve got to get you out of here and to a safe place. Marlena: Tell me what’s wrong. Roman: (After a pause) Ok. Michael Myers escaped police custody tonight. Marlena: Dear God, no. Roman: Yeah. So, we have to go. Marlena: Ok. Sure. Marlena starts packing up the rest of her things as a officer runs in, saying he’s glad he found Roman. When Roman ask what’s up, the young officer says that he just got a report that someone attacked the Horton's at their residence. Roman asks if they are alright and the officer says that they are on their way, under the orders of Detective Brady, to the Kiriakis Mansion. Roman then looks at Marlena and tells the officer to take his wife to one of the safe houses outside of Salem and to stay there with her until he hears from him. Roman then kisses Marlena and runs out of the room and disappears. The officer watches as Marlena gets her things and the two of them race out. The scene then fades to the... DIMERA PENTHOUSE Stefano watches the news reports on television. He sees that Myers has already caused death and destruction and cryptically comments..... Stefano: What a soldier he would have made. At that moment, Lincoln comes off the elevator and into the living room, filling Stefano in. He says that the Horton's and Johnson's have been attacked and the hospital is on lockdown. Stefano asks about Cassie. Lincoln says that police are everywhere and that, from what he understands, the National Guard is being called in. Stefano turns and walks towards the window, saying that he tried to tell the people at Smith’s Grove that Myers was dangerous and shouldn’t be moved. But........they wouldn’t listen. He now regrets funding the wing that was being built at the time. He doesn’t want to have any association with people who would carelessly house such a madman. As Lincoln shakes his head in agreement, the scene then fades to... SALEM POLICE DEPARTMENT The three men get out of the car and, as they close the car doors, they look toward the station,.........which is dark inside. They then look at each other and draw their guns as they walk slowly toward the station. They look around to see if anyone has followed them but, apparently, miss the figure dressed in green overalls and a white ghost-like Captain Kirk mask walking very slowly to a car parked down the street from the station. As the men enter the station,........they see something that makes their eyes grow wide with shock...........a officer stabbed to death, laying on the floor, blood running everywhere. The three men back each other up as they slowly go from room to room, checking for any survivors. They make their way up to the main squad room.........and the scene is chilling. Five dead police officers lay on top of desks and on the floor and, as they walk into Abe’s office......... They see another officer dead on the floor. Steve is the last one to walk in and, as he slowly closes the door behind him,.........all three men jump at the sight. A dead officer.......impaled on the door, eyes wide open. They look at each other as Bo takes out his cell phone and calls the hospital. Abe calls Roman and Steve calls Kayla. Just then, all three men hear something in the outer room. They all hang up and draw their weapons again. Steve slowly places his left hand on the door as Bo and Abe prepare to fire. When Steve pulls the door open.......... All three men point their guns..........at Roman’s head, who is pointing his gun back at them. The four men breathe a heavy sigh of relief as Steve says........ Steve: Damn. I hope I have a extra pair of pants and draws in the car. The other men breathe heavy as Roman tells them he put cops all around the hospital. He then wanted to come over and see what was up because he tried calling the station and got no answer. He didn’t know that all that had happened. Bo says that from what he read, Michael did the same thing almost 20 years ago when he escaped then. He killed seven officers, who apparently didn’t know what they had ran up against. Abe says that they need to get the National Guard and state troopers to the station and tells Roman and Bo to turn the outer offices into a makeshift morgue until the coroner can take the dead officers out. They follow Abe’s orders and Abe and Steve then start going through the rest of the station to see if there were any survivors of this brutal massacre. The scene then quickly goes back to... UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Cassie gets out of her bed, still recovering from the explosion of the Dimera mansion. Cassie moans and groans, saying she will be glad when she finally goes home after the burns are healed and the infection from her infected wound is gone. She walks out into the hallway and sees all the commotion going on. She looks to her right and sees Alyson bringing Sam into the hospital. After hearing Alyson call Sam by name, Cassie asks her if she is that woman who had Eric's kid. Alyson nods. Cassie then asks what’s going on and Alyson tells her that some nutcase named Michael Myers has escaped and is in Salem right now. She also tells a shocked Cassie that people have been killed and that he attacked Steve, Kayla, Lucas, Alice and Maggie tonight. Before she can say anything, Alyson tells Cassie that she doesn’t know how they are. She just came to the hospital to keep her son safe. Cassie agrees it's safe at the hospital and goes back into her room. She starts to get dressed and Alyson sits down in the hallway, comforting Sam. Minutes later, Cassie comes out of her room and goes over to Alyson, telling her that they need to get to where the cops are. Alyson agrees and she and Cassie go to the elevators to take one downstairs. The scene then fades to the... KIRIAKIS MANSION A terrified Maggie helps Lucas bring Alice into the living room. A doctor and nurse that Victor hired goes over and checks all three individuals as Lucas thanks Victor for letting them come there. All Victor wants to know is if they are all ok. Lucas says yes but barely. He then says that he has never known fear like that. He says that Myers is unstoppable. Victor agrees, saying that he’s calling Bo and Roman and telling them what’s going on. Victor picks up the phone........ And there is no dial tone. Victor tries to get his phone working but nothing. He then goes and picks up his walkie-talkie and calls the front gate...........but now, there is no answer there either. When the scene shifts to the front gate..........the guard, who was watching, is slumped over..........and his neck has been broken. The scene shifts back to the mansion where Victor calls Nico in and tells him to get Bo, Roman or Abe on the phone and to tell them to get some men out to the mansion........now. Nico races out while dialing his phone as Victor then goes to a door on the far side of the living room. He activates a control panel and the door opens........to reveal a room full of weaponry. Lucas runs over and asks why Victor has this room. Victors looks at him while handing him a gun and says........ Victor: Why shouldn’t I have it? Lucas says they’ll talk about it later as Nico comes back in. He quietly tells Victor that he has called all of their guard stations on the grounds.........and no one is answering. Victor looks at Nico, asking if he got in contact with anyone. He says he reached Bo, who said he’ll tell Roman. He says he had just left the station and is making a u-turn to head to the mansion. Victor smiles, even though he doesn’t want Bo anywhere near Michael. Before Victor can say another word,.........the lights go out in the mansion and on the grounds. Victor tells Nico and Lucas to get the women out of the house. Nico says he will not leave Victor alone. Victor walks up to his most trusted ally and tells him........ Victor: My friend. All of us are innocents in this. Michael Myers is a psychopath and I want you here...........watching over my family, if anything should happen. Now..........do as I say. Go, go.......... Victor gently pushes Nico over to the ladies as Nico stares at him with sorrow. Victor then turns to look at Lucas, who does nothing........but hold his hand out. Victor shakes it as both men look at each other. Nico then goes over and picks Alice up, with her saying..... Alice: Take it easy now, son. Not as young as I used to be. Nico smiles and the four walk into the hallway with Maggie looking at Victor lovingly. She tells him...... Maggie: I’m a lucky girl. To have had two very wonderful, brave men in my life. Victor: Hopefully that bravery will get me into Heaven. Maggie: Just do your best, my love. Victor: I will. They gently kiss and the four walk out the door into the cool night as Victor closes the door behind them. He then turns and points his gun in the darkened house. He slowly walks the hallway and, as he walks past a glass window down the hall,...........he sees that it is pushed open. He looks around the corner and continues down the hallway. He comes upon a sight that chills his heart.........one of the maids, dead on the floor, the victim of a deep stab wound in her stomach. He continues down the hallway to the stairs and slowly goes up. When Victor reaches the upstairs hallway, he looks both ways before slowly walking down the hall. And the scene then takes a point of view from Victor, looking into each room. The scene then shifts back behind him...........to see the deadly figure of The Shape slowly walking behind him. Victor stops dead in his tracks........as Michael turns and walks into a room beside him. When Victor turns,........he sees no one there. He then slowly takes a few steps back down the hallway.........toward the bedroom Michael walked into. When he reaches the bedroom, he slowly looks into the room....... And Michael is gone. As he steps into the bedroom,..........Michael walks up behind him, brandishing his butcher’s knife. He slowly lifts it up over his head and, as Victor turns back around, Michael brings the knife down hard.......... And is tackled by none other than Roman Brady. Roman jumps back up and is handed a golf club by Victor. As Michael stands back up, Roman hits him hard in the face with the club three times........and Michael is unfazed. Michael stares coldly at Roman as Roman looks at the club and then back at Michael. Michael then reaches out and grabs Roman by the throat and right as Roman exclaims..... Roman: OH [!@#$%^&*]!!! Michael throws him over the railing and against the wall as Roman then falls to the steps, unconscious. Victor then takes aim and fires his gun.......but, even though Michael staggers backwards, he resets and stalks forward. Victor fires again..........same result. Victor fires a third time and misses Michael as The Shape throws his shooting hand to the side..........and stabs Victor deep in his right shoulder. Victor stumbles back and hits the wall and, as Michael moves in to finish him off............. Bo Brady jumps over his fallen brother and runs up the stairs. He takes aim and, as he screams...... Bo: MICHAEL!!!!!!!!! Michael jerks his head to see Bo as a rifle shot rings out, hitting Michael and sending him back into one of the bedrooms. Bo looks down at his injured father, who nods his head, and Bo then stalks to the bedroom. He looks inside the room to see Michael standing there and he raises the shotgun once again. He fires seven more times, sending Michael backwards and through the glass door, causing him to fall to the ground below. Bo then starts over to the door but changes his mind and goes to check on Victor. Roman stumbles upstairs and both men reach Victor at the same time as they help him up. Bo asks....... Bo: What kind of monster is he?! Victor: Like to know that answer myself. All three men then walk slowly into the bedroom and over to the glass door and, when they reach it and look out.......... Michael is gone. All three men are shocked at this sight as Bo asks....... Bo: Ok. So what do we do now? Roman: Get the !@#$%^&*] outta here............ and pronto. As the men hear police sirens coming up the way, they quickly exit the house as the scene pans slowly back to the ground below........ And then to a slowly walking Michael Myers as he now heads toward the city of Salem. As he stalks down the street past the Salem road sign, the scene then slowly fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... MORE.........OF THE NIGHT HE CAME TO SALEM!!!
  10. NIGHT OF TERROR, PART II HOPE'S CAR (DRIVING DOWN COUNTRY ROAD) As this night continues, Michael Myers jerks his car over to the left once again, hitting Hope’s car and sending it crashing into a guard rail. The car then bounces off the rail and starts tumbling end over end as Hope crashes through the window and lands in a grassy area away from the car. The car then tumbles into a second guard rail and, when it comes to a stop, explodes in a huge fireball that can be seen for at least a mile. A very groggy and woozy Hope tries to stand up as she looks at her burning car and also sees one other sight........ Michael backing up in his car, towards her. Hope barely manages to stand on her feet as she turns away from his car. She realizes that her ankle is broken and she can hardly place any pressure on it but what is more important is getting away form this psychopath. As Michael backs up his car faster, trying to run into Hope, she looks up to see car lights coming form down the road. The scene then shifts to inside the second vehicle, which happens to be driven by......... ROMAN'S CAR (DRIVING DOWN COUNTRY ROAD) Roman Brady, who is on his way to pick up Marlena for their date. He looks ahead to see Hope waving at him and he wonders what has happened. He soon finds out as he sees Michael trying to hit Hope with his car. Roman then slams on the accelerator and guns his car towards Michael. Hope sees what Roman is doing and, at the last minute,..........jumps out of the way of Roman’s car as he slams into the back of Michael’s car. After a few moments, Roman recovers to see Michael pulling away from his car. Michael’s car is damaged but he guns the engine and speeds off into the night. Roman then pulls out his cell phone and calls 911, getting help for Hope and himself. He then calls Abe and tells them that some nutcase just tried to kill Hope. Abe informs him that Michael Myers escaped and is now on the loose. Roman’s heart grows ice cold with fear, telling Abe that they have to stop him. As Roman gets out of the car, he looks around and then spots Hope laying unconscious in a ditch. Roman tells Abe to tell Bo about Hope and Abe says he’s on his way to the Kiriakis Mansion at that moment. Roman says that after he gets Hope to a hospital, he is going to start looking for Michael. Abe tells him he will mobilize the entire P.D. and will also get the National Guard into Salem to help find him. Roman also tells him to put out an APB on Myers as he bends down to check on Hope, who is breathing normally. Roman takes his coat off and places it over Hope. He then turns and walks back to the street. A passing officer comes up on the scene and Roman identifies himself. The officer knows of him and Roman tells him they need to get Hope to a hospital fast. The officer says that he saw an ambulance down the road at the sight of another accident but will call it to come up to see to Hope. Roman gets back on the cell and tells Abe to keep in touch. Abe says he will and tells Roman to be careful. They both hang up as both the officer and Roman run back down to see to Hope. As the men stay with Hope, the scene fades into the... KIRIAKIS MANSION Abe bangs on the door. Bo runs to open it and Abe rushes in. He stops and tells Bo that Hope was injured but Roman is with her and she will be taken to the hospital soon. Bo asks what happened and Abe tells him someone tried to kill Hope tonight. When Bo demands to know who the person was, Abe looks at him and simply says.......he doesn’t know but Michael Myers escaped earlier tonight as he was being transported from Smith’s Grove Sanitarium. Victor walks in and asks Abe what he intends to do about what has happened tonight. Abe turns and tells Victor that all businesses will be shut down and the panic button has been pushed. All officers are reporting into work and the National Guard has been notified. Victor says that Abe should call the Governor and Abe says he will, just as soon as they have the situation in hand. Victor says that if it were in hand, Myers wouldn’t be loose and his daughter-in-law wouldn’t be on her way to the hospital. Before Abe can say anything, Bo steps in between them, saying that they should head to the hospital and wait for Hope and Roman to get there. Victor says he’s calling Maggie to come home now so he’ll stay behind but tells Bo to take some men with him, just in case. Bo and Nico rush out along with Abe, whose on his cell phone with the cop shop. As everyone jumps into their cars and speeds off into the night, the scene then shifts to.......... STREETS OF SALEM Steve and Kayla, who have just turned onto the street they now live on. Kayla tells Steve she is happy that her mother told them about this house as it's nice to finally be out of the Salem Inn. Steve agrees. Kayla holds Steve’s hand lovingly, saying that she hasn’t done that with him since right before he disappeared. Steve is surprised, saying that he would have thought a fox like her would have had her pick of good looking men. Kayla said she did but she only wanted one man.........Steve. That makes him smile and he kisses his “Sweetness” on the cheek. Kayla blushes a little but they both are startled out of their special moment by the sight of a car............ With the rear end severely damaged. Steve remarks......... Steve: Now, why hasn’t either of your brothers given this cat a ticket? Kayla: Beats me. Roman said he was going to try and take Marlena out tonight and Bo and Hope were going to hang out at home. I don’t know....... At that moment, the couple sees a police car fly past them and around the corner at breakneck speed............ Steve: Ok. What the hell is going on? Kayla: I don’t know. We better get inside and call the station. Steve: I’m with you on that, Sweetness. Steve and Kayla walk briskly to their new home, unaware that, standing behind a huge oak tree across the street......... Is The Shape of Michael Myers himself, staring at the couple as they disappear into their home. STEVE AND KAYLA'S NEW HOUSE Michael then slowly walks across the street.........and into the Johnson's backyard. Inside the home, Kayla calls Roman. Once on the phone, Kayla asks what is going on. She and Steve had just seen a police car flying down the road. Roman says he’ll explain everything later but tells her to get out of the house and go to the Pub until she and Steve hear from either him, Bo or Abe. Before Kayla can say anything else, Roman hangs up the phone. She turns to Steve, telling him............ Kayla: Something really scary is going on, Steve. Steve: What’s the matter, baby? Kayla: Roman just told me that we should get out of the house and go to the Pub. Then he hung up the phone. Steve: (After a pause) If Roman said that...........something must have happened. Go upstairs and get my gun and then come back down. I’ll lock up the house so we can go. Kayla: Ok. As Kayla runs up the stairs, Steve walks to the kitchen. He then stops dead in his tracks.......... When he sees that the back door is open and the window has been busted out. Steve steps slowly to the door and, as he passes the kitchen counter, he picks up a butcher’s knife off the counter top. He keeps looking around as he walks up to the door and opens it slowly. He looks out into the moonlit backyard and looks around for anyone who may still be there. What Steve doesn’t see, though......... Is Michael walking quietly and slowly behind him, down the hallway, and into the living room. Steve then steps back and closes the door, locking it. He then turns as Kayla starts to come down the stairs. As Steve reaches the bottom of the staircase,..........Michael turns from around the corner and grabs Steve by the throat. Steve reacts quickly, stabbing the butcher’s knife deep into Michael’s mid-section. That doesn’t matter to Michael, who picks Steve up with one hand and throws him into the living room. Steve crashes on top of a glass table. Kayla sees this and points the gun at Michael. She clicks the safety on the gun, aims at Michael’s back......... And fires several shots into him, sending him down to one knee, and then watches him as he falls face forward on the floor. After several frightening moments, Steve stirs and shakes the cobwebs out as Kayla slowly walks down the stairs and looks at Michael, pointing the gun at him. Steve stands up and staggers over to Kayla as she asks him if he is alright. Steve, ever the smart-ass, says........ Steve: After what the DiMera's put me through, this ain't [!@#$%^&*], baby. Steve walks past Michael as he looks at him laying on the floor, motionless. When he looks at a beyond scared Kayla, he walks over to her and then gently takes the gun out of her hands. Kayla then breaks down and Steve holds her close, saying they need to call the police and get the hell out of there. Steve then leads Kayla out the front door and down the steps as they both see a police car come down the street. Both of them wave at the car, which then pulls up and stops in front of their home. When the two cops inside jump out, Steve tells them that some nutcase just tried to kill him and his wife in their home. Both officers draw their guns and tell the couple to get in the squad car as they go search in the home. Both officers walk up to the door, with one of them slowly pushing the door open with his gun. As they slowly walk into the home, they look down on the floor........ And see nothing but blood. Both officers then look down the hallway and see a trail of blood lead to the back door. The door is open and, as the officers then slowly walk down the hallway, they both see that whoever was in there is now gone. They look at each other again as they turn and practically run out of the house. As they get outside, Steve has placed Kayla in his car and asks why the men are outside instead of bringing out the psycho dude who did this. One of the officers tells Steve that there was no one in the house. Steve and Kayla’s eyes grow wide with shock as Kayla says she shot him four times in the back. How could he have survived? One of the officers says he doesn’t know but that they better get them to safety. Steve says he’s fine and then says he’s taking his wife to the Brady Pub. If they need to be reached, they can get them there. The officers agree and, when everyone piles into their cars and drive off, no one sees the shape slowly walking in the opposite direction down the street.......... And towards the Horton House. HORTON HOUSE Maggie picks up her ringing cell phone. Victor tells her in no uncertain terms that she has to get herself and Alice out of that house and get back over to the mansion now. Maggie asks what is going on and Victor says there is a psychopath loose in Salem. Maggie looks shocked and, when she asks who it is, Victor simply says........... Michael Myers. Maggie asks if that is the man who killed all those people in Haddonfield all those years ago and Victor says yes. Lucas walks into the living room as Maggie tells Victor that they all are on their way. She hangs up the phone as Lucas asks what the problem is. Maggie goes and turns on the television and the group sees the breaking news story about Michael’s escape. They also see that, so far, two auto mechanics and two police officers are dead and that the Salem PD asks that everyone lock their windows and bolt their doors until the danger has passed. Lucas looks surprised as Maggie turns off the television. When Alice asks what will they do, Lucas says they’re about to get the hell out of there and fast. Maggie says she is thankful Julie is at the Penthouse Grille tonight. Lucas agrees and then instructs Maggie to get Alice’s coat and help her on with it as he goes and checks the back door. After several very tense moments, Lucas comes back up front and asks if they are ready to go. Maggie and Alice are holding each other tightly as they all head for the front door. Lucas looks back at the ladies and tells them......... Lucas: Everything will be ok. Trust me. The ladies smile at Lucas and, as he opens the door........... He turns to see the terrifying figure...........of Michael Myers standing in front of them! Maggie lets out a piercing scream................as Michael holds up the large butcher knife over his head............ And the scene suddenly goes black! ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... THE NIGHT OF TERROR CONTINUES!!
  11. WEEK OF OCTOBER 29, 2007 EDITION WRITER'S CORNER THIS WEEK MARKS THE SEVENTH EDITION OF THE WEEKLY SL INSIDER FEATURE, "THE WRITER'S CORNER." EACH WEEK I, TIM LOWERY (BETTER KNOWN AS PHOENIXRISING05), AND MY FELLOW SALEM LIVES HEAD WRITER, PATRICK L. SO, WITHOUT FURTHER ADIEU, HERE WE GO: THIS WEEK'S WRITER IN THE HOT SHEET: TIM LOWERY (PHOENIXRISING05) Q: I see you opened a poll regarding the current Steve and Hope story. What was the reasoning behind that and what effect will that have on story? A: The reasoning was that my partner and I decided to gauge reader and fan reaction due in large part to the fact that we are dealing with two supercouples here. We don't want to do anything out of character or that causes outrage to the point where readers and fans are turned off to us or feel offended. We take risks and we are all for drama and story first. If we see compelling story, we tell it, even if it means putting the readers and fans through out or is a big risk. Sami's "death" in the summer is an example of that. We already have a story in mind and a plan in place. This is more or less a way of helping us with execution of the story and how we want what is planned portrayed. Q: How did the idea for the Halloween/Michael Myers story come about? A: That is a better question for my partner. Ask him that next week after the event. I will just say it's original, creative, and a nice change of pace story-wise. It's a good way of celebrating the holiday on SL and it is also helping us move story forward so it works on all counts. Q: What is going on with the episode lengths? They have been quite long this week. A: Due to time constraints, the episodes had to be longer. We apologize to our loyal fans and readers and thank them for their support. Next week should be a bit better as a whole. Between the Halloween event and sweeps, we just had no choice if we were going to stay on course. When situations like this present themselves, our goal is to make the episode so entertaining that the episode doesn't feel long or that the length is hardly noticed. We hope we did that this week. We understand the frustration. We always strive for quality first but do know that we listen to reader and fan concerns and things will be better. Q: Where are the sweeps previews? A: Next week's Insider will have them along with a special announcement on a big event in November and some other features coming the readers way. Q: Are there any cast comings and goings on the way? It's been pretty quiet on that front of late. A: Yes, it has. It feels great to have stability since most of our first year and a half was filled with comings and goings. We feel our cast now is what we have envisioned for awhile now. There are a few tricks up our sleeve, kind of like Liz's return earlier this month. Fans and readers need to keep looking out because we won't announce everything but do know that some exciting things are coming. WELL, THAT IS ALL FOR NEXT WEEK. REMEMBER TO PM QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED IN THE WRITER'S CORNER TO ME OR ROMAN BY NEXT FRIDAY AT 8PM EST. ALSO, YOU MAY POST QUESTIONS HERE IN THE BLOG BY COMMENTING. JUST DO IT BEFORE FRIDAY AT 8PM. THANKS AND WE'LL SEE YOU NEXT WEEK IN THE WRITER'S CORNER WHERE ROMAN WILL BE ANSWERING YOUR QUESTIONS. UNTIL NEXT TIME!!! NOTE: MAKE SURE TO READ NEXT SUNDAY'S INSIDER WHICH WILL CONTAIN NOVEMBER SWEEPS PREVIEWS, A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ON A SPECIAL SWEEPS EVENT ALONG WITH SOME NEW FEATURES FOR READERS, AND THE USUAL COVERAGE YOU EXPECT FROM THE WEEKLY INSIDER!!! PREVIEWS AND PEEKS INTO WK OF 10/29/07 DUE TO THE SET BEING CLOSED, NO TEASERS AND SPOILERS WILL BE POSTED FOR THIS WEEK OR NEXT WEEK. NEXT WEEK'S INSIDER WILL RESUME POSTING OF TEASERS AND MINOR SPOILERS SO YOU ALL WILL JUST HAVE TO READ TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS!! "SALEM'S NIGHT OF TERROR" HAS BEGUN!!! Last Friday, Salem Lives began a 6 episode event to coincide with Halloween entitled "The Night of Terror." The heavily promoted story was revealed on Friday to be centered around the mass murdering maniac from the highly popular Halloween movie franchise, Micheal Myers. "The story will engulf our whole canvas and it's one of the most gripping, edge of your seat stories we have ever done," says EP/HW Tim Lowery. "This is not just a stunt. It will move story as well and the intensity and drama this story presents is like nothing we have ever done. This is indeed a departure for us as we have never done something with the creepy, slasher-like vibe this story has. I want to give kudos to my partner who came up with this unique idea and for crafting such a wonderful story around it. We hope readers will enjoy it and that this will leave them wanting more." The event is so big that the set was closed, thereby forbidding any teasers or spoilers from leaking out. "It was necessary," Lowery states. "A story of this magnitude needs to be kept in a state of unpredictability and suspense and keeping readers in the dark is the best way to do that. We also didn't put out anything regarding next week or November sweeps so readers can't look ahead and get a clue of what happens this week. It just helps the overall feel and impact of the story." Look for more on this event and how it came out in next week's Insider. CATCHING UP WITH: CHARLES SHAUGHNESSY (EX-SHANE, DAYS/SL) We recently had time to sit down and ask Charles Shaughnessy (ex-Shane, Days/SL) three questions on how he’s doing since leaving SL, what he thinks of it right now, and how he feels about being on the outside looking in right now. SALEM LIVES INSIDER: Good to see you again. Your exit in August came as a surprise. How did it come about? CHARLES SHAUGHNESSY: Well, it wasn't a shock because they brought me back on recurring in June of 2006 when the new writing team stepped in. Then, I left for a bit and returned for the duration of my stint in late August. I was recurring the entire time but I felt contract. I worked alot and they kept roping me into things, for which I am happy. I was just shocked at the time. I also never expected them to bring Patsy (Pease, ex-Kimberly) back for that long of a run. Once they did, I began to think there was more to this and she did as well. We had a blast and I wasn't upset when we both were told our stints were finished. We had more work then we ever could've dreamed of having and it was fun. The door is open for a comeback and the exit we were given was wonderful. The whole experience was fantastic all around and Patsy felt the same. SLI: What is your opinion on SL right now? CS: The same as it was while I was there. I just feel the intensity level of the show is great. It's edge of your seat but true to character and history. It is realistic and I think that is the proper way to be. Everything that happens has a reaction or effect. It's all mapped out and, as an actor, you appreciate that rather then regimes that constantly change their minds. SL is a joy to be a part of and to follow. SLI: Would you ever come back? Have you been approached? CS: When I left Days after my second stint in 2002, I didn't think I would go back. SL was such a great experience that I would love to return. It was a pleasure and there was mutual respect there. I have not been approached but we keep in touch and I think it will happen at some point. We'll see but I'm game on my end. SLI: Thanks so much, Charles. We do appreciate it. CS: Sure. Good day to you.

  13. NIGHT OF TERROR, PART I SALEM POLICE DEPARTMENT The evening of October 30th started like any other in the City of Salem, Ilinois. This was especially true for the Salem Police Department, as Abe sits at his desk reading reports form the previous day. As he sifts through the papers, a representative from the D.A.’s Office walks in, throwing a leather bound file on his desk in front of him and telling him........ Rep: You better read this, Commissioner. This person comes up for review this evening and, if it is granted, he will be transported to a maximum security prison tomorrow. Abe: (Slowly looking up) And good morning to you too. Thank you so much for almost knocking over my coffee. Rep: The D.A. wants to know what you intend to do about it. Abe: Tell the D.A. that all of our officers will be forever vigilant, ok? If, and that’s a big if, the prisoner is transferred, they won’t come anywhere near Salem, alright? Rep: (Leaning forward on his desk) You better hope not, Commissioner. Because if that happens........ Abe: (Leaning forward) First of all, get off my desk. The rep stands up slowly........ Abe: And second, I just told you what is happening. I don’t need some tight-ass coming in here telling me my job, especially when she was sucking her thumb when I was busting Stefano DiMera and Victor Kiriakis. Now.........there’s the see through door. See your way out of it. The Representative slowly turns and walks to the door but, before she walks out, she turns and tells Abe...... Rep: I hope you’re right, sir. Because God help us all if you’re wrong. The rep.walks out, leaving Abe to lean back in his chair. He looks at the folder and, after reading the name on it, sighs deeply. He then opens it slowly, puts on his reading glasses, and starts reading, as the scene dissolves to.......... SALEM CITY HALL (D.A.'S OFFICE) Salem D.A., Patricia Cromwell, is on the phone......... Patricia: What?! Oh dear God, no. Are you serious?! Whose bright ass idea was this?! (After a pause) Well, we all better be on the ball tomorrow. God help us if this one escapes. She hangs up the phone and stands up, walking to the window and looking out onto the city of Salem, and thinks to herself..... Patricia: God........pray for us. Pray for us all. The scene then slowly fades to black on her worried face. BO AND HOPE'S HOUSE The next morning, Hope is helping JT with his breakfast. Bo walks into the house and walks over to Hope, kissing her on the cheek and kissing JT on the head while also messing up his hair. He walks around to the couch and sits down, asking Hope..... Bo: So........how is my family doing today? Hope: We are doing fine. How are you doing, Bo? Bo: Ok. The therapy sessions are going good. Starting to........make some connections. Haven’t felt this well in a while. Hope: That’s good, Bo. I didn’t think you would go, to be honest with you. Bo: Well, it was too important. The doctor that Victor put me in touch with is really good. I didn’t know he cared so much. Hope: You know, even with this war he is fighting, which I hate....... Bo rolls his eyes.......... Hope: Victor really loves you a lot, Bo. Even I can see that. He has ever since he found out you were his son. Bo: I know. I know. Just wish all this battling was over, you know? Get some damn peace back into our lives. So I can.........spend time with my favorite girl and my favorite guy. (pats JT lightly on the head) Hope: Well, you will always be my favorite cop, Brady. Never forget that, ok? Bo: You bet. Bo leans in and gently kisses Hope, as she places her hand on his cheek. They then look lovingly at each other, as the scene dissolves into........ UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL (MARLENA'S OFFICE) Marlena is putting things back in her office and hanging pictures on her wall. As she turns to get another picture, a nurse comes in and welcomes her back, saying that it’s good to see her. Marlena smiles as she goes to hug the nurse, saying that it’s good to be back. But.........all she’s doing is putting some stuff back in her office. She still has some things to work out before she starts telling other people how to live. A man walks in with flowers and tells her he wishes he would have listened to her earlier. Marlena looks to see that it is Roman, as the nurse looks at both of them and then excuses herself. After the nurse leaves, Roman walks over to Marlena and tells her how sorry he is for the fight they had the other night and knows that last night isn't going to make up for anything. Marlena turns silently and walks back over to her desk, picking up a picture and silently placing it on the wall. Roman wants Marlena to please listen to him but she turns and says........ Marlena: You are in NO PLACE to make demands, Roman. Roman: I know, Doc. I know........I was just saying......... Marlena: You just want me to overlook how much of an !@#$%^&*] you’ve been lately. I won’t do that. Sami’s dead, Eric’s dead, Carrie is overseas with our grandchild, Belle is still trying to put her life back together after what happened with that jackass Philip........and here you are, playing supercop. Oh, I’m sorry...........FORMER supercop. Roman: Ok. Bout sums it up, I guess. Look, can we at least call a truce? Just for today? Marlena: (After a pause) Well...........it is Halloween. Maybe we can.........do what we used to. Roman: You mean.........go trick or treating? Marlena: Yeah, I guess. That used to be fun. Especially when the kids were small. Roman: Sure was........before so much changed. So..........can I look forward to picking you up tonight? Marlena: (After another pause) Sure, Roman. Why not. Roman runs over real quick, hands Marlena the flowers he was holding, gives her a quick kiss on the lips, and rushes off, telling her he’ll see her tonight right before he runs out the door. Marlena smiles after he leaves and the nurse walks back in. Marlena asks her to get her a vase to put these flowers in. The nurse smiles and leaves to find a vase as Marlena holds the flowers close to her and smiles as she smells the wonderful scent. The scene then dissolves to......... COURTHOUSE IN WESTERN ILLINOIS A judge is about to make a decision in the courtroom...... Judge: It is the opinion of this court that the prisoner be remanded to the Joliet State Prison, to stay there.........until the day of their death. And........... May God Almighty Himself have mercy on your soul. The judge hits the gavel and the prisoner is led out of the courtroom slowly. As the prisoner walks past Patricia., who is sitting in attendance, she picks up her cell phone and calls Abe. When he answers, she tells him that the prisoner is being transferred. Abe sighs deeply, telling her that she better call her friends statewide and let them know what is going on. She agrees and then hangs up the phone. As she walks out of the courtroom, the scene switches back to the cop shop, where Abe walks out of his office and tells one of his officers to get Bo Brady on the phone. The officer obeys and runs off to call Bo. Abe then thinks to himself that if the meeting went wrong........ He knows only God can help them then. STREETS OF SALEM The scene then dissolves into nighttime, where kids are being taken up and down the streets of Salem trick or treating as the skies are slowly getting darker. Steve and Kayla walk down the street, watching the parents and kids having a great time on the Eve Of All Saints. Steve holds Kayla in his arms, saying how great it is to be home for a day like Halloween. Kayla smiles but then asks him if he still plans to get involved with that Orpheus/Stefano/Victor business now that he is home. Steve stops her, telling her that he’ll do what he has to do. Period. Sometimes, good people have to do bad things to get the right outcome, he tells her. So, no need for her to worry. Kayla says she won’t and the scene pans upward over the beautiful streets and, when the scene pans back down, the prisoner that was in court earlier that day is now headed to their new destination. PRISONER TRANSPORT VEHICLE The men who are transferring this person speak amongst themselves, with one saying......... Officer 1: Damn. I could be at home right now. Another Halloween without taking my kids out. Officer 2: Man, don’t worry about it. We won’t be long. All we have to do is drop this cat off and head back home, alright? O1: Easy for you to say. You don’t have kids. O2: Oh, so now I have to have kids in order to speak my mind, huh? O1: Just speed it up, ok? Having this prisoner in here gives me the creeps. O2: Well, finally.........something we agree on. As the men talk, they don’t know that the prisoner has broken the restraints that were binding their hands and, as the men look out into the night........ The prisoner springs forward, smashing their right hand through the protective glass shielding. Both men scream out in horror as the officer in the passenger seat reaches for his gun. The prisoner backhands him, shattering his jaw and knocking him unconscious as his head smashes through the glass window. Then..........the prisoner turns his attention to the driver.......... The scene comes up from over a nearby ravine as the car is now driving across all the lanes of the road. The car then hits a guardrail and tumbles end over end downward, coming to a rest near a huge tree as it smashes into it. After a few moments, one person climbs out of the destroyed car. The person stands, looks at the car, then turns......... And slowly walks away and makes their way back to the street. It is..........the prisoner, who is removing the last of the restraints that binded them. Then, after walking about 400 yards, they past a sign..........that simply says........ Salem: 5 miles. The prisoner stops, looks up at the sign, then turns back to look ahead at the city of Salem........ And then continues to walk slowly down the road. The scene then fades to the... KIRIAKIS MANSION Bo has just hung up the phone talking with Abe. He walks back into the main study and walks over to Roman and Victor. He turns and tells Roman that there may be a problem. When Roman asks what it is, Bo tells him that a special prisoner that he recommended putting away almost 30 years ago is being transferred to a maximum security prison in southern Illinois. Roman looks at Bo with shock. He walks past Bo, telling him and Victor that Abe and him thought they were doing the right thing. He hopes no one is hurt by this maniac. When Victor asks him who they’re referring to, Bo says apparently............a serious nut job. Victor asks if there is anything he could do, like call the Governor or the Attorney General. They both owe him many times over. Roman says for right now, he thinks they need to bring Abe over and get on the phones and hope that this prisoner made it safely to their destination.......... Before it’s too late. Bo gets back on the phone to call Abe as Roman picks up his cell phone to make some calls. Victor calls Nico in, giving him orders on how to proceed this evening. The scene then fades into......... THE HORTON HOUSE Lucas is at the door, handing out candy. He smiles as he gives the kids their treats and wishes them a good night as they leave. He watches them walk into the night and then closes the door, walking back into the living room to see Maggie helping Alice with her famous cookies. Lucas says he is glad to be helping them out as it's taking his mind off his problems. He sits down, saying that he hates he missed out on all of this growing up. Alice tells him it wasn’t his fault. Lucas says he knows. He then says that if he didn’t have a mother who was so damn selfish, he could have spent his life with his real family. He says he hates the fact he didn’t grow up a true Horton. Maggie tells him that he shouldn’t blame anyone for that. It was just fate, the same way it was fate to find out he is a part of this family. And always will be. Hope walks in agreeing with Maggie, saying that she has always loved him, no matter what. She then walks over and gives him a kiss on the cheek, making Lucas blush. He then says quietly to Hope that he saw some pictures of her from some years ago and.........wow. She’s was just as beautiful then as she is now. Hope smiles, wondering if Lucas wants to be kissing cousins. Lucas blushes again, saying that he needs to get some candy from the kitchen, which makes all the women laugh out loud. Hope then gets a phone call and tells the person she will be right there. Hope then says she has to go. JT forgot something for his costume. Hope kisses Alice and Maggie and tells them to say goodbye to Lucas for her. She tells them she may be back later and wishes them luck with the trick or treaters. Hope then gets into her car outside and calls Bo, telling him that she is on her way home right now to get something for JT and then she will be all his. Bo smiles, saying that he will see her soon. They tell each other their I love yous and, as Hope hangs up the phone, starts her car, and drives away, the scene pans upward into the crisp night sky......... And back down into a service station on the main road to Salem. SERVICE STATION The older station has two attendants, one sitting in the shop, the other working on a car in the garage area. The attendant inside has a radio turned to the police band frequency and hears a report about two missing officers who were transporting a prisoner to another prison when they lost contact with headquarters. As the police continue on the radio, the attendant goes out into the garage and tells his co-worker........ Attendant 1: Aye, two cops are missing. And some prisoner has escaped. Maybe we should lock up and go home for the night. Attendant 2: We will........as soon as I replace this radiator. A1: Man, that can wait until tomorrow. A2: I know it can...........but I want to get it done so I can start on that lady’s transmission tomorrow. That’s an all day job, friend. A1: No [!@#$%^&*]. Look..........I just don’t like being out here this far from Salem with some escaped convict missing. A2: Damn........OK!! Ok........if it makes you feel better, I’ll finish up here and I can drop you off on my way home. Now.........does that remove your panties from your ass? A1: Sure does. And hurry up............I want to see my lady tonight. To himself, the second attendant says......... A2: Chasing after some ass is more important than your job, huh? !@#$%^&*]. As the first attendant walks back into the shop, he notices that there is no sound coming from it. He steps slowly into the shop, looking around, and walks slowly over to the radio. What he sees makes his eyes grow wide with shock as he looks down at the radio......... And sees it completely destroyed. It looks like someone hit it with a baseball bat several times because there is nothing left of it. He slowly walks backwards from the radio, looking around to see if anyone is in the shop. He starts to then turn around and, when he does....... He comes face to face with the prisoner. The attendant tries to scream out but the prisoner grabs him by the throat, squeezes around his wind pipe with a vice-like grip, and crushes his larynx. The prisoner then puts one hand under his chin, another on top of his head........and jerks his head sideways, snapping his neck in two pieces. The attendant’s eyes are still open as the prisoner drops the dead man to the floor and then turns their head to look into the garage........ The second attendant is still working on the car and, after looking for a tool that he needs, decides to slide out from under the car. As he does.........he stands up, looks around, and sees his wrench laying on a small table in the corner. As he walks over to it, he hears something fall off to his left. He looks over........and sees that one of the tool boxes fell over. He goes over to pick up the tools. As he bends down, he picks up a socket and places it in the toolbox but, when he picks up another socket...... He is grabbed by the back of the neck. He is stood up and turned around. He is struggling to free himself but can’t get away. The prisoner has now grabbed him by his throat and the shocked and terrified attendant is now being carried by his throat towards the front of the car. Once he is there, the prisoner looks at the begging man, looks at the car hood, lifts it up, and then slowly places the man’s upper torso on top of the engine. And then, with incredible speed and unbelievable strength....... He smashes the hood of the car down on the attendant several times until blood is pouring down on the ground under the car. The prisoner then slams the car hood down on the attendant once more and leaves it there. He then looks throughout the garage for some other clothes to change into. After 20 minutes have past, the prisoner walks out into the lot and sees a car sitting in front of the station. The prisoner slowly walks over to the car, gets in..........and pulls down the sun visor, where a set of keys falls out. The prisoner chuckles once and starts the car. The prisoner then slowly drives off into the cold, crisp night and the scene then dissolves into........... HOPE'S CAR (DRIVING DOWN COUNTRY ROAD) Hope is driving through the winding street in the Salem countryside. As she drives by, a car that was sitting on the side of the road starts up, and Hope looks into her rear view mirror to see the car. She continues to drive as the car pulls out onto the street and gets behind her. The car slowly follows Hope as she drives and she keeps looking in her mirror to see what the other driver is doing. Hope then looks down and picks up her phone, calling Bo. When he answers, Hope says that someone is following her closely. She tells Bo she is getting worried to which he responds for her to tell him where she is. When Hope begins to tell him, the driver speeds up and slams into the back of her car. Hope lunges forward, hitting her head on the steering wheel, and dropping her cell phone on the floor. Bo calls out but Hope can’t pick up the phone as the driver slams into her car once again. Hope then puts both hands on the wheel and speeds up, trying to get away from the crazed driver. The driver, though, speeds up as well and pulls along side Hope’s car. The driver then jerks the car to the left, smashing into Hope’s car once again. Bo is now screaming into the phone but Hope can’t respond as she fights for her life against this maniac, who then jerks the car to the left again, slamming hard into Hope’s car. Hope, with her forehead bleeding, manages to roll down her window. She then jerks her car to the right, slamming into the other driver’s car. She does it once again, with the same result. The cell phone goes dead as Hope then looks over to the other car and the driver rolls down the window. Hope looks at the driver and her eyes grow wide with terror as she stares at the driver............. And the driver turns their head very slowly (FACE OF PRISONER/DRIVER) as the terrifying scene freeze frames on the driver’s face......... And then suddenly goes black! ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... THE NIGHT OF TERROR CONTINUES...
  14. OCTOBER 25, 2007-EPISODE #358: EYES WIDE OPEN PART 3 (NOTE: DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS, THIS WEEK'S EPISODES ARE RUNNING ALOT LONGER THEN NORMAL. THIS WILL NOT BECOME A HABIT AND IS ONLY BEING DONE FOR TIME PURPOSES. BARE WITH US AND WE HOPE YOU CONTINUE TO ENJOY SALEM LIVES) KIRIAKIS MANSION Nico walks into the living room and tells Victor that all their men are in position. Victor is pleased and tells Nico to keep him updated on any happenings with Stefano and if they locate Orpheus. He tells Nico they must strike soon. They just need to wait for the right opportunity. Victor admits things will be interesting now with Orpheus being Stefano's son. He admits being curious as to how they will both handle that. Nico agrees it will be interesting. Henderson then walks in and tells Victor the surprise for Mrs. Horton is all ready. Victor smiles and says good. Maggie will be very surprised when she gets home. BO AND HOPE'S HOUSE Bo opens the door and lets Kayla in with JT. Bo thanks her for picking him up as he wasn't sure he would make it out of work to get him. He asks JT how school was. JT says good and then goes running upstairs. Kayla says it was no problem and asks if there is any word. Bo shakes his head, saying his contacts have nothing. Just then, Hope and Steve come through the door and an overjoyed Bo and Kayla embrace their spouses and then Hope and Kayla and Steve and Bo embrace. Bo asks where they have been. Hope apologizes to Bo for running off again. Steve interjects and says he got another lead on his missing years and wanted to make a move on it before Stefano was hot on his trail. He brought Tony with him to help but Hope wanted in too. Steve reminds Bo of how stubborn Hope is. Bo says he knows but says he can't help wondering if there is more to this. This is the second time they ran off and only left a note behind and, this time, they didn't even contact them to let them know they were ok. Hope apologizes, saying everything happened so fast and they wanted to be careful not to tip Stefano off. Bo tells Hope and Steve he doesn't want them taking off like this anymore. Next time, he is going with them. It's too dangerous. Kayla agrees, telling Steve they are a team and are in this together. Hope and Steve agree and promise not to run off anymore, at least without talking to them first in person. Bo and Kayla are pleased. Bo asks if they found anything. Hope is about to answer when Steve interrupts, shaking his head and saying the trail was cold. Stefano must have gotten rid of any evidence that proved he was in some of these places. Bo asks where they went. Hope says they checked out some more Dimera lairs and tunnels in the Midwest and on west coast. She tells Bo he would be surprised to see how many secret hideaways Stefano has. Bo says he doubts he would and says he is just happy to see them both. Kayla agrees, begging them both not to leave like that ever again. Hope and Steve embrace their spouses again and assure them they won't as they longingly glance at each other. BRADY PUB Elizabeth, Jack, and Alex are finishing their lunch as Jack looks over an article Alex wrote. Jack tells Alex that he is fantastic. Alex thinks he is just saying that to get him to like him. Jack tells him that isn't it. He tells Alex he is a great writer and would make a fine reporter or, even, author. Alex says he hopes Jack is right. He loves to write. Elizabeth tells Jack it's all Alex ever seems to do as he never had much of a social life. Jack says that clearly practice made perfect because Alex's writing skills are at the pro level. Alex is pleased to hear that and says he has more writings in the car. He tells Elizabeth he is going to go get them and says he will be like back. After Alex leaves, Elizabeth asks Jack if everything is ok. Jack nods and says it is. Elizabeth admits that she can tell something is wrong and could see it from the moment he showed up today. She tells him she always could tell when he was upset or bothered by something. Jack tells Elizabeth she really does know him. Elizabeth smiles. Jack says he is still having problems with Billie. Elizabeth asks if she is still on her kick about her trying to break him and Billie up. Jack nods, saying that she is adamant. At that moment, Billie walks in and sees Jack and Elizabeth. She sneaks over to a booth, not wanting to disturb them or to be seen. Elizabeth tells Jack she would never do what Billie is accusing her of. She admits to Jack she does still love him and always will. He owns a special place in her heart and that will never change. She then goes on to say that she would never scheme to tear him and Billie, or any other woman, apart. She tells Jack that she knows whatever happened between them is in the past and she would never want to risk hurting him or his family, or even Alex. Elizabeth asks if Jack believes her. After a few moments, Jack says he does. He's known her for too long and he can see she means what she is saying. He tells her he is relieved to hear her say what she just said. He just wishes Billie could and that she would believe it. Alex then returns and, as Jack turns slightly around, he notices that Billie is there. He asks if they would both excuse him and leaves. Elizabeth sees him go over to Billie. Alex tells her to just back off and leave them alone. Elizabeth smiles and tells Alex she isn't doing anything, really. Jack and Billie are tearing themselves apart and she doesn't have to lift a single finger. Billie asks Jack why he came over to her. Jack says they need to talk. Billie reminds him of where their attempts at talking got them this morning. Jack asks about Lucas. Billie says nothing really happened. She then tells Jack to just say what he wants to so he can go. She can't talk to him right now with the way things have been going. She tells him she just doesn't have the energy. Jack sits down and fills her in on what Elizabeth just told him. Billie can't believe he believes that BS. Jack says he knows Elizabeth and it isn't BS. Billie tells him to look inside himself. He knows she is right. Jack asks Billie why she is being so difficult. He asks her to give Elizabeth a chance. Billie tells him she did and she quickly found out that the woman is a snake. Jack tells her he doesn't know what else to do or say. He is just torn right now because he is being pulled in two directions. Billie says that wouldn't be happening if he didn't let it. Jack asks what he is supposed to do. Billie says nevermind and gets up. Jack tells her that he doesn't know what else she wants from him. Billie says nothing. He can't give her anything right now since he is in denial. She tells him all she wants is for Elizabeth to disappear from their lives...permanently. Alex and Elizabeth overhear and Jack asks if Billie means that. Billie says she does. She wants the woman out of both their lives and doesn't care how it happens. She adds that she would even make it happen if she could. Jack is shocked she is saying all this. Billie tells him that she only wishes that her wish would come true. They would all be much better off. Billie then grabs her purse, leaves money for a tip on the table, and leaves. Jack returns to Elizabeth and Alex, both of whom can't believe Billie would say such a think. Jack doesn't think she means it. Elizabeth thinks she does and says that Billie hates her and has hated her all along. Jack tells Elizabeth that he knows Billie and she won't harm her. Elizabeth says she doesn't have to herself. The mere fact she was wishing for her to disappear for good is enough of a jinx and she tells Jack she is really worried. An upset Elizabeth lies in Alex's arms for comfort as Alex stares at a frustrated Jack. BO AND HOPE'S HOUSE Doug races in and embraces Hope lovingly. Bo comes in and says he called Doug and that he has another surprise that he wanted to be just right for her. JT then comes in with a "I love Mommy" cake. Bo says he had it all ready for when she came home as he thought and hoped she would. Hope embraces and kisses both JT and Bo and thanks them. She then begins to fill Doug in on where she has been. Meanwhile, Stephanie walks in and races into Steve's arms. Kayla tells Steve she called her over. Steve and Stephanie are overjoyed to see each other. Stephanie begs him not to run off again. They still have to get to know each other. Steve smiles, saying he won't and that he looks forward to spending time with his little "Sweetness." Bo then calls over to Steve, Kayla, and Stephanie and asks if they want cake. JT then gets cake all over his shirt. Hope tells JT to go right up and take it off so that he doesn't make anymore of a mess. Bo says that he didn't take all of JT's shirts out of the laundry basket and tells JT he will go up with him to find him another shirt. They both leave. You've watched them fall in love. You've watched their love grow in spite of interference. Now...watch their love reach new heights with the creation of their miracle child. Hope tells Steve, Kayla, and Stephanie to help themselves to the cake. Hope then asks Doug how things are with Julie. Doug catches her up on things and Hope asks if he really thinks ending it is the best thing. Doug reminds Hope she was just as mad at Julie. Hope tells Doug that sometimes circumstances can drive a person to do things they don't want to do, especially when it comes to their family. Doug asks if something is going on with her. Hope shakes her head, saying no. She just thinks he should give Julie another chance. She just doesn't think what happened is worth throwing away so many years of marriage and love. She then tells Doug it's her decision though and she will support him no matter what. A shocked Doug nods, saying he has alot to think about. As Steve gets himself some cake, Kayla fills in Stephanie on where her father has been. Stephanie asks Kayla if she thinks dad is hiding something. After a few moments and a brief look over at Steve, Kayla says she doesn't think her father would do that. Stephanie says she is just happy he is back. Kayla looks over at him and says she is too. HORTON HOUSE Maggie walks Alice into the house and they are both shocked to see a devastated Julie lying on the sofa. They both ask what happened. Julie fills them in on what happened with Doug and says it;s over. Maggie urges her not to say that. Julie says she has to say it because she has to accept it. It's over. Doug and her are through. Julie then breaks down again in Maggie's arms as a heartbroken Alice watches. BO AND HOPE'S HOUSE Kayla announces that they must be going. She embraces Bo and thanks him for all his help. He does the same. Steve sneaks over to Hope and tells her they have to talk. Hope says she will tell him when and if she is ready to. He asks what her problem is. Hope says he knows what it is and tells him to do everyone a favor and leave the past and everything that happened between them the past few weeks where it belongs...in the rear view mirror. She tells Steve she is not going to destroy her family. Steve agrees but still thinks they need to talk. Hope wishes him a good night and goes over to say goodbye to Doug. Stephanie comes over and asks if Steve is alright. Steve nods, saying it's good to be home. Steve then embraces Stephanie as he and Hope stare at each other from across the room. ROMAN AND MARLENA'S HOUSE Marlena comes home and is shocked to find what appears to be Roman's luggage in the living room. She then sees Roman comes out from the kitchen and asks what the hell he is doing there. Roman says that it's his house too. Marlena reminds him that she kicked him out last night. Roman tells her that he isn't just going to give up on their marriage. She should know that by now. Marlena says she isn't giving up. He is the one giving up and compounding problems they already have. Roman tells Marlena he is sorry if what he is doing is worrying her but he tells her she just needs to accept it. He is doing this for her and for their family. Eric and Sami's deaths will not go unpunished. Marlena: Alrighty then. Go back to the force. Stop with all of this mafia and vigilante justice [!@#$%^&*]. That is the problem here, Roman. Your going to get yourself killed and then what good does that do? Your family needs you. I need you. We've needed you for months yet there you go every night to help Victor or go after Orpheus or to do God knows what. Roman: I just can't stand around and do nothing! Marlena: No one said you had to. Why not do this the right way? With the support of your friends and family. With all of us around you. We can all unite and work as a team. Roman: Oh, yeah. That will work. Then, when we are finished, we can go home for tea and crumpets. Come on, doc. This thing isn't going to end using that stupid approach. I am handling this the best way I know how and I'm not going to change my mind. You will just have to accept that. Marlena: I don't have to accept anything. Roman: No, you don't. I just wish you would. (gently touches Marlena's cheek) I just hate all this fighting. Marlena: So do I. I just want you to hold me and to tell me it's going to be ok. That is what I have wanted for so long, Roman. That is what your family wants. We need you here with us. I need you here with me. Roman: I know and I'm trying. Look, I'm here now. Let's just forget all the other [!@#$%^&*] and live in this moment, right now. Come here. Roman takes Marlena in his arms and kisses her on the forehead. Marlena: Being here in your arms, I feel so safe. For the first time in so long, I feel like nothing can hurt us. Roman: That's because nothing can. I won't let it. I promise you, doc. I will make everything alright again. I can't bring Sami and Eric back but I can make sure they rest in peace. I owe them and you that much. Marlena: Right now, all I want is for you to hold me close and not let go. Roman: Your wish is my command. Roman and Marlena then sit down on the couch as he wraps his arms tightly around her even more before telling her he loves her. They then kiss as Marlena tells him she loves him too and that it feels good that they are both back where they belong...in each other's arms. Roman smiles, saying it sure does, and then pulls Marlena into another kiss. HORTON HOUSE Alice sits in her chair in the living room and watches Julie as she lies on the couch. She asks her if she is ready for all the trick or treaters tomorrow night. Julie doesn't answer. Alice tells her not to give up. Julie tells Alice that she has no choice. All good things come to an end and her marriage just did. She tells Alice her time is up and she has lost the love of her life. Alice reaches out and takes her hand. Julie then falls apart yet again and breaks down in her grandmother's arms. KIRIAKIS MANSION Maggie walks in the front door and is greeted by Nico, who tells her that Mr. Kiriakis would like to see her upstairs. A confused Maggie asks what is going on. Nico smiles and tells her to go upstairs and find out. Maggie walks upstairs and hears some romantic music playing from Victor's room. She enters and finds the room covered in roses and rose petals with a candlelight dinner set up. Victor then appears out of the bathroom in a tux and says he thought they might enjoy some special alone time together, something they never seem to have nearly enough. Maggie asks what he had in mind. Victor takes her in his arms and says a romantic dinner, maybe a dance or two, and then who knows. They kiss as Maggie says she likes the who knows part. They both laugh. Maggie suggests she get into something more comfortable and tells Victor to make sure they're not disturbed for while. Victor says he will get right on that. Maggie then slowly walks away, twirling her hair and telling a smiling Victor she will be right back. Victor then opens the door and calls out to Nico, who races upstairs. Victor tells Nico that he and Maggie are not to be disturbed. Nico nods and says he understands. Victor dismisses him and then smiles as he leaves. He then turns around to see Maggie in a beautiful red cocktail dress. Maggie thinks it's time to get their evening started. Victor agrees and then leans in and passionately kisses Maggie. SALEM INN Steve and Kayla are back at their suite. Steve comes out of the bathroom after showering and is shocked to see Kayla lying on the bed in a negligee. He smiles and asks what she is up to. Kayla says it's been awhile and she has missed him greatly. She thought he may be in the mood for some good, old fashioned loving from his favorite girl. Steve jumps on the bed and says he is intrigued. Kayla smiles and says she thought he would be. They kiss but, as they kiss, Steve recalls kissing Hope and them nearly making love at Maison Blanche. Steve jumps back. Kayla asks if he is ok. Steve lies and says he is just fine. Kayla says good and goes back to kissing him all over his neck as Steve looks off in the distance, his mind seemingly elsewhere... BO AND HOPE'S HOUSE Hope enters her and Bo's bedroom and tells Bo that JT has already gone to be. He is so excited about trick or treating tomorrow he thinks the day will get here faster by going to bed early. She then finally notices something is off about the room and is shocked to see the room dimly lit by nothing but candles with Bo lying on the bed with champagne on ice right next to him. Bo smiles and tells Hope he missed her and thought she may like to do some catching up. Afterall, it has been a long time. Hope slowly walks over. Bo takes her hand and drags her down onto the bed, kissing her passionately. As Bo kisses her, Hope recalls kissing Steve passionately in the cabin on the grounds at Maison Blanche. Hope pulls away. Bo asks if she is ok. Hope says she thought she heard something and she was startled. Bo says it's probably the earth moving. They both laugh as Bo tells her to come here. He begins to kiss her again as Hope looks off into the distance and sighs deeply before whispering: Hope: What...is wrong with me? Bo (as he kisses Hope): Did you say something, Fancy Face? Hope: No. Nothing at all. Bo continues to kiss Hope as the scene freezes on her face as a look of anguish and confusion crosses it and then fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... UNBELIEVABLY IT'S COMING........ TO SALEM.......... TOMORROW!! DON'T MISS IT!!
  15. OCTOBER 24, 2007-EPISODE #357: EYES WIDE OPEN PART 2 PIER Julie shows up to meet Doug and apologizes for being late. Doug says it's ok. Julie tells him she has waited so long for this and is so happy he is giving her a chance to talk things out with him. Doug tells Julie he would like to ask her a few questions first if that is ok. Julie says it's fine and they sit down. Doug asks if she regrets the lies she told him. Julie says she does everyday. She knows what she did was wrong but she also knows that she was protecting Maggie, who was a mess at the time. She tells Doug she regrets the lies from the standpoint of lying to him and breaking the trust between them but not from the standpoint of protecting Maggie. She would do anything for family. Doug says he knows. That is why he fell in love with her. Doug then asks if Maggie or some other family member were not involved and it was someone she knew but not that close to, would she do the same thing? Julie says she isn't sure. It would depend on the circumstances, who the person was, and how it all came to that point. Doug then asks if she would do it all over again, would she do it the same way? Julie nods, saying she would because it's Maggie. It's her family. It doesn't mean she doesn't love him. Doug says he has one more question. Can she promise him she will be honest with him from this point forward for the rest of their lives? Julie tells him that's not fair. Everyone tells white lies and sometimes a lie is necessary. Doug tells her to answer the questions. Julie says it would depend on but then Doug cuts her off, telling her to just answer his question. Julie sighs and says she can't make any promises. She has no idea what life could throw her way. No one does. Circumstances often times determine the action so it's unfair to make her answer a question like that. Doug gets up and walks away. Julie asks why he is asking all these questions. Doug tells her he was testing her. He needed to see if her answers were what he could accept and if they were in line with what he has always known and thought about her. He tells Julie he doesn't like what he is hearing nor does he think he really knows everything he should about her, despite all their years together. He knows she was quite the troublemaker in the past but he thought she was past being underhanded and falling into those ways. Julie says she is and that she did what she did for Maggie and her family. She doesn't understand where Doug is coming from at all. Doug says Julie may never understand and admits he really doesn't either. He is just going on how he feels and, right now, he feels they are through. He tells her they're over and that he has to leave Salem. He can't deal with her, the memories, and everything else. He tells her it's time and that it's the end. Julie begs Doug to just talk with her some more and to be reasonable. Doug says this is how he feels and he feels this is right. He pushes a distraught Julie away from him and says goodbye. A crying Julie races after him but he grabs her and tells her to stop this and to just leave it be. He tells her she just needs to accept it. She can't change how he feels about what she did or how he feels in this moment, right now. He tells her that he will have a lawyer in touch. Julie then lets out a shrieking "No!!" and falls to her knees, begging Doug not to do this. Doug gently brings her to her feet and puts her on a bench. He tells her to stay put and then says goodbye again and leaves as Julie breaks down in tears, begging Doug repeatedly to come back. She then gets to her feet and races off in tears after him. CARVER HOUSE Celeste comes downstairs and says that Theo is taking a nap upstairs, mentioning he must be tired from spending the night with his mother . She then asks when he is going to work. Abe doesn't answer. Celeste asks what's wrong. Abe hangs her a packet of papers and an envelope and says that Lexie acts fast. Celeste looks over the papers and asks if they just arrived. Abe nods. Celeste sits down and comforts him, telling him it's going to be ok. There is a still a chance at convincing her not to do this. Abe shakes his head, telling her it's over. He called to speak with her and she altered her voice mail message to tell him she doesn't wish to see or speak with him or Celeste until the divorce hearing. Celeste tells Abe she isn't giving up on her daughter and he shouldn't either. Abe says he doesn't want to but he can't help but think this is it and that papers are forthcoming regarding going to court over Theo. Abe tells Celeste he can't believe it's come to this. Celeste embraces him and tells him they will get through to Alexandra together and that she will be there for him. Abe thanks her and says he is going to need all the help he can get. SALEM INN Tony enters the main lobby and bumps into Anna, who is heading up to her room. Anna says that she should look into staying at another hotel. Tony tells her she can't keep avoiding him and mentions to her that he knows they had a breakthrough last night. He could tell she still cares about him. Anna says she will always care about him and that she also appreciates him saving her life but she just can't go down this road with him. Too much has happened. Tony thinks they just need to talk things out. Anna shakes her head and tells Tony to just stay away from her, for both their sakes. Anna walks away, leaving behind a frustrated Tony. Meanwhile, Alyson and Jean are in their room. Jean comments on what a nice day it is and suggests going to the park for a stroll. Alyson hates the idea, asking if she remembers what happened yesterday. Jean says she does and tells Alyson she can't live in fear. In fact, she wouldn't have to if she had pressed charges. Alyson tells Jean she wanted to give Nicole the opportunity to back off first. She sees some good in her and, obviously, she is right because Eric would never love someone as cold and calculating as she seems. Jean thinks she is making a big mistake. A frustrated Alyson then explodes and asks Jean when she plans to just let her run her own life. She tells her she wouldn't be in this situation if not for her. She was perfectly happy away from Salem when no one knew about this child except the two of them. Jean tells Alyson that Eric's family had a right to know. Alyson tells Jean that she isn't stupid. She knows the only reason why she gave a damn about coming to Salem and telling the Brady's about Samuel was because she wanted stature and was hoping to get something out of this for herself, whether it be money or something else beneficial. Jean denies that, saying she just wants what is best for her. Alyson then tells Jean that she will decide that, personally, from now on. She will act on her own for herself and her baby. It's her life and she is not letting anyone dictate it anymore. Jean mentions that Alyson is letting Nicole do that right now by letting her go free after yesterday and now deciding not to leave the room with Samuel. Alyson tells Jean to get Samuel ready. They will be going to the park. Jean nods and goes to get Samuel but Alyson stops her, telling her she is doing this because she wants to and not because Jean suggested it. Jean says that's fine and then Alyson goes on to tell her: Alyson: I gave Nicole one chance but I will not give her any others. If she slips up, her baby snatching ass will be behind bars. That, I promise you. Jean nods and walks away. She goes into the other room to get Samuel and wonders what on earth got in to her daughter. Meanwhile, Alyson puts her shoes on and says she is sick of being a doormat for everyone, including mom. It's been that way for too long and that is going to change. She then says if Nicole pushes her, she won't know what hit her. UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Outside Greta's room, Caroline exits the room only to be greeted by Nicole. Nicole smiles, saying she was told at the Pub that she could find her there looking after the royal answer to Swiss Miss for Frankie. Nicole admits she was hoping she would come out of Greta's room. She isn't in the mood for Salem's beloved princess to kill her with sweetness today. Nicole says she was so much more tolerable in a coma. Caroline raises her hand to slap her but restrains herself. Nicole mocks her, saying that she thought the Brady's used their words and not violence to solve disagreements. Nicole then thinks for a minute and says that is just another thing to add to the hypocrisy of the Brady family. Caroline asks her what she wants. Nicole says she is truly sorry for the incident with Alyson and Samuel and says she will continue to stay away from both of them. Caroline says that's good. Nicole says there is a catch and it's something she just thought of late last night. Nicole tells Caroline she will be sure to keep away from Alyson, Samuel, and the whole Brady family for that matter if Caroline grants her one request and that is for her to call Carrie and ask if she can visit with Evan. Caroline defiantly says absolutely not. Nicole tells her she might want to think about that. Caroline tells her she might want to think about honoring the agreement she made with Alyson before she ends up in the slammer. Nicole says she knows Eric would want that baby with her and not some girl he had a fling with. She also knows that Evan belongs with her. Carrie gave him up willingly. Caroline tells her this isn't finders/keepers. Nicole agrees, saying it's doing what is right. Caroline thinks she is deluded and says this conversation is finished. Caroline warns her to stay away from her family but, especially, Alyson and Samuel. Caroline asks if that is understood. Nicole says it's crystal clear. Nicole then gets in Caroline's face and tells her to remember that anything that happens to her family, they brought on themselves and that includes her. Nicole smirks and tells her to have a nice day before walking off, leaving behind a frustrated and somewhat worried Caroline. You've watched them fall in love. You've watched their love grow in spite of interference. Now...watch their love reach new heights with the creation of their miracle child. The scene then shifts to another end of the hospital as Billie arrives in the conference room and greets Alice and Maggie. She asks where Julie is. Maggie says she went to meet Doug. Alice says they are praying that things work out for them. Billie tells them she hopes things do too. Maggie asks if she has talked to Jack. Billie shakes her head, saying she hasn't seen or talked to him since he left Greta's room to meet Elizabeth and alex. Kate then walks in and asks her why she is just standing there. Billie turns and asks what she means. Kate tells Billie if she is having problems with Jack falling prey to another woman she just needs to fight like hell to keep him. Maggie says she is staying out of this and helps Alice walk over to Lucas. Billie reminds Kate that she has said she was trying to change. Kate says she still is but that doesn't mean she can't still encourage her children to fight to be with the person they love. She just won't be interfere personally. Billie rolls her eyes, saying that should be hard for her. Kate says it will be but she has no choice. Kate puts her arm around Billie and tells her not to give up. If she loves Jack, she just needs to fight with all she has because it will be worth it. Billie says it's not easy. Jack loved Elizabeth and probably still does deep down and Alex is his son and is in the middle of it all. Kate tells her none of that matters, unless she feels Jack may have feelings for Elizabeth that potentially surpass his feelings for her. Billie shakes her head, saying she can't be sure of anything right now. Just then, Philip walks by and greets and embraces Billie. Kate says hello to him too and Philip reluctantly says hello back and walks over to Lucas. Billie tells Kate she is sorry to see that things are still bad with her and Philip. Kate says they are bad with Lucas too. She tells Billie she is all she has right now. Billie smiles and says: Billie: Lucky me. Kate: Ha ha. I'm going over to attempt to talk to Lucas. Kate leaves Billie and heads over to Lucas, who is talking to Philip. Philip offers Lucas whatever help he needs, telling him he has alot more power at Titan now and will use whatever means necessary to him to help. Lucas smiles and thanks him, saying having the Kiriakis family on his side can't hurt. Kate then comes up, saying it could with all of the violence that is going on. Lucas asks what she is doing there. Kate reminds Lucas she is his mother and she came to support him. Lucas tells her that he doesn't have the energy to fight with her and just tells her to stay out of his sight. Lucas walks off, as does Philip, leaving behind a heartbroken Kate. Meanwhile, the mysterious figure once again watches Lucas from the hallway outside the conference room and then moves away upon hearing someone coming. Will then walks quickly down the hall. He then stops before entering the room and sees a distorted shadow on the wall in around the corner. Suspicious, he walks slowly around the corner and sees nothing. He then turns and enters the conference room, embracing Lucas. Lucas assures him it's all going to be ok as Joelle arrives with Patricia, while the mysterious figure watches from outside the room once again. MALIBU. CALIFORNIA Dr. Dobbs wonders why Miranda wants to talk to Abby. Forrest says he knows. It's because she is going to try to convince her to stay. Just then, Abby opens the door to her room and says that's exactly right and she is going to stay. She tells Forrest it's not just because of Miranda, although her words helped verify things and made her sure she was doing the right thing. She tells Forrest she remembers all that he did for her and how he has treated her. She also tells him that his story affected her. She was just caught off guard and thought he had an agenda, especially with her resemblance to Sylvia. She tells him she knows that isn't the case now and that he just wants to protect her and to help. Dr. Dobbs goes to call Miranda to tell her what Abby has decided. Forrest thanks him and then tells Abby that he wants to bring his brother down too. Abby says she wants to as well, especially given what he did to her Uncle Steve and her mother. She tells Forrest she wants him to stay and that she plans on staying. She promises to do whatever she can to help and to follow his orders. Forrest asks if she is sure. Abby nods, saying she is sorry for how harsh she was. Forrest embraces her, saying it's alright and he understands. He is just sorry for lying to her. Abby tells him it's in the past and all that matters now is completing this mission of his. Forrest nods, saying it should be easy with her on board. Abby says she hopes so to which Forrest agrees, saying it has to be easy...for all their sakes. ORPHEUS'S PENTHOUSE Orpheus enters Sami's room. Sami is watching Joelle and Lucas's meeting at the hospital on the surveillance camera. Orpheus asks her she isn't eating. Sami says she doesn't see a point in living. Her family and friends need her. Lucas needs her. She tells him she is through living for nothing but remaining in captivity. Orpheus orders her to eat. Sami says she won't eat. She may as well be dead anyway if all he is going to do is keep her locked up and she knows he plans to kill her and her family so she is dead no matter which way. She tells him it may as well be now. Orpheus loses it and grabs Sami forcefully by the arm, ordering her to eat or Lucas and Will will have bullets in their skulls within the hour. Sami is frightened of Orpheus and his rage and caves in, saying she will eat. Orpheus lets her go. Sami tells him she has never seen him like this. He is usually calm and sure of himself. He is always mocking her and enjoying torturing her but something is different. Sami points out she heard him screaming and tossing things around all last night. Orpheus tells her to mind her own business and to do as she is told before leaving. After he leaves, Sami wonders what is going on with him. She then returns to watching what is happening onscreen. Meanwhile, outside Sami's room, Orpheus clutches his head and asks why this had to happen and why his life was full of nothing but lies. UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Lucas and Joelle are arguing at their meeting as Frankie and Patricia interject. Patricia says that Joelle's demands for a $12 million dollar settlement or a piece of ownership in Roberts INC, along with complete funding for her mother's medical treatment is reasonable. Lucas doesn't think it is. Patricia then mentions a promotion along with a $6 million dollar settlement. Lucas says he isn't settling because he didn't do anything. Frankie tries to calm him. Patricia says that it looks like they will be seeing him in court then. She tells Joelle to come on. There is nothing more for them to do or say. Joelle tells her to wait and tells Lucas to remember the shape her mother is in. She tells him she is uncomfortable in the hospital and needs top notch care to come back from her recent setback. She knows Lucas is a good guy and begs him to at least provide funding for her mother's medical care up front. She promises to be more lenient on him. Lucas tells her he will provide funding for her mother's care if Joelle drops th case. Joelle says she can't do that. Lucas then says that he can't give her mother what she needs. He tells Joelle he feels sorry for her mother and her son but he knows he is innocent and so does she. Patricia says they will see about that. Patricia drags Joelle to the door, while Joelle warns Lucas that if her mother's condition deteriorates or worse, she will make sure he loses everything. She tells him this isn't just about her. It's about her son and mother too and she won't have them suffer because he is in denial concerning what he did. Lucas shakes his head in frustration as Joelle and Patricia leave, as the mysterious figure watches from afar. Lucas embraces Will, who is worried that they are in trouble. Maggie and Alice comfort them and Frankie assures Lucas he will do all he can. He thinks his case could go either way but tells Lucas that is good odds right off the bat. Lucas nods and thanks Frankie. Philip embraces Billie and says he will seeing her. An upset Kate walks over and watches him leave. Billie asks Kate if she actually expected Philip to say goodbye to her. Kate says she doesn't expect anything anymore, from anyone really. Meanwhile, Sami is watching everything on the surveillance camera footage on the monitor in her room. She touches the screen as Lucas has appeared on it hugging Will and tells them she wishes she were with them. She says she isn't sure what is going on and that she is sorry she isn't there. Sami wipes tears from her eyes as she tells Lucas and Will she loves them and that she isn't giving up. She will come home to them. She promises. STEFANO'S PENTHOUSE Tony walks in to find Stefano sipping brandy at his chess board. Stefano tells Tony he has been expecting him and tells him to get right to telling him all about his recent quest to find the missing Dimera. Tony says it will be his pleasure. Stefano points out to Tony that he knew he was up to something. He had heard of his misadventures with Hope and Steve at Maison Blanche but could never learn anything concrete. Tony tells Stefano he must be slipping in his old age. Stefano tells Tony to just tell him how all this transpired. Tony gives Stefano the folder of information from Liz that proves Orpheus is Stefano's son and tells Stefano all about how Daphne gave Orpheus up because she feared Stefano's influence on him and how she did it by going into hiding during the pregnancy. He then explains how she kept it a secret and how she made sure he was the only one that learned about, at least at first. Stefano is stunned, saying he can't believe he never picked up on more being behind her disappearance all those years ago. He also says he must give Daphne credit for the way she kept it hidden and how difficult she made it to learn the truth. He would've never expected her to use clues and to use Liz Curtis as the secret keeper was inspired. Stefano adds that she was more like him then she thought, at least in some ways. Tony tells him he is sadly mistaken and that Daphne wanted him to know first because he is her son and she knew this secret could potentially destroy Stefano. At the time of her death, she knew that he would know what to do with such a goldmine like this. She wants him to rise up and destroy Stefano and his empire of evil. Tony adds that she was right to trust him with it and that he plans to use this as the vehicle to end Stefano's reign of terror for good, something he will take great satisfaction in. Meanwhile, Orpheus watches all this unfold on one of his surveillance cameras, clenching his fist in anger and frustration as he watches. Stefano laughs, saying he can't destroy him nor will this secret have any affect on him. Tony tells him he is wrong. Orpheus has already shot him and nearly wiped out half of Salem. He hates Stefano and Stefano hates him. Tony says that all the makings are there to end this dynasty of terror. Tony gets in Stefano's face and tells him he knows it's true and that it will soon be over for him and all that he stands for. Stefano throws his drink against the wall, takes Tony by the collar, and throws his body against the wall, telling him: Stefano: Don't you ever get in face again! You bastard! No one talks to Stefano Dimera like you just did and gets away with it. You'll see how wrong you are, as will your mother from her grave. I used to give a damn about you, Tony. Not anymore. You've disrespected me and this empire too many times. I've lost hope for you ever being someone of promise. Your nothing to me now. In fact, if you unwisely decide to stand in my way, you will be an enemy to me and to this family. Think about that, you fool!! Stefano then tosses Tony to the ground and walks out of the room. Once out of the room, Stefano says: Stefano: Nothing will deter me from my plans. Not Daphne. Not Tony. Not even my newfound son. The day of reckoning for all my enemies is close at hand. Much closer then they all think. Stefano laughs as the scene freezes on his face and then fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... SECRETS, HEARTBREAK, AND LIES HAUNT SALEM RESIDENTS!!!
  16. Good question Tishy. The approach I took was that Victor was busy and so was his men as a result of the shootout and all so it was hard to reach him. I was thinking about that while writing but never thought of adding a line during editing. Maybe it was the SON outage and all that threw me off. I added a line explaining that because it's something that I should've put in initially to avoid confusion. Thanks for pointing that out . It was really helpful.
  17. OCTOBER 23, 2007: EPISODE # 356: EYES WIDE OPEN PIER Doug is sitting alone, thinking about the advise Jean gave him at the Salem Inn last night. Doug then thinks back to his wedding to Julie. DOUG'S FLASHBACK-CLICK HERE!!! Doug begins to tear up and wonders if there is anything left between them to fight for. He then thinks about the advice Jean gave him and tells himself he knows what he must do. He takes out his cell phone and begins to dial. HORTON HOUSE Alice and Julie are sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast when the phone rings. Julie tells Alice she will get it and is shocked when she answers to hear Doug on the phone. Doug asks Julie if she can meet him at pier 11 this morning. Julie tells Doug that Lucas is having a meeting with Joelle to address her accusations and that the whole family is going to support him so she can't make it. Alice motions to Julie, who puts down the phone and asks Alice what she wants. Alice tells Julie to go ahead. Maggie can come and get her. Alice tells Julie she can't give up the chance to work things out with Doug. Julie asks if she is sure. Alice nods, saying the family could use some good news right now and she may be the one to bring it to them. Julie says she hopes so and then picks the phone back up, telling Doug she will meet him in an hour at pier 11. Doug tells Julie it sounds good and hangs up. Alice tells Julie the fact that he called and wants to talk is a good sign. Julie agrees, saying she finally sees a ray of hope. Alice takes Julie's hand and tells her to just have faith and it will all work out. Julie and Alice embrace as Julie says she will try and thanks her for her support and comfort. Alice smiles, saying it's her job. They both laugh. KIRIAKIS MANSION Maggie is lying in Victor's bed when she hears a rattling noise. She sits up to find Victor standing over her with a covered tray. Victor smiles and says that breakfast is served. Maggie is shocked. Victor says he made it himself. It's the first time in at least 10 years that he even stepped in the kitchen. Maggie is impressed and asks Victor why he did this. Victor says he wanted to surprise her because he wants to make everyday they spend together special because he loves her. Plus, he wanted to give cook a day off. They both laugh. Maggie begins to dig into her tray and asks Victor if he is just trying to kiss up to her after that shootout with Stefano and Orpheus last night. Victor asks how Maggie found out. Maggie tells him she overheard Nico talking about it with the head gatekeeper. Victor reminds Maggie of their agreement. Maggie says she remembers and that she isn't judging him or lashing out. She just wanted to know if that is why he was doing this for her. Victor smiles and then kisses her passionately, telling Maggie that is why he did it. Maggie smiles and kisses him back as one thing leads to another and the two of them begin to make love. UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Caroline, Max, Stephanie, and Billie arrive at the hospital, wondering why Frankie called them there. Frankie then races around the corner, thanking them for meeting him. Billie asks Frankie what is going on. Frankie says he doesn't know. Rich called and said that he had big news on Greta's condition so Frankie decided to call all of them down like they said they wanted him too. Jack then appears, saying he is sorry he is late. Billie turns and looks at him and the two of them lock eyes. Frankie says it's fine as Rich hasn't been around yet. Just then, Rich appears from Greta's room. Frankie asks what is going on. Rich smiles and tells them all to come in and see for themselves. Everyone enters to see Greta turning her head toward them with her eyes open. An overjoyed Frankie races over to her and kisses her forehead while also embracing her. He tells Greta he is so happy she has finally come back to them. Caroline whispers to Billie that it's pretty clear Frankie is quite taken with Greta. Billie says she knows and that she hopes Frankie tells her how he feels. Caroline tells Billie she is going to call Victor. Once Caroline leaves, Jack comes over to Billie, commenting on how great it is that Greta is ok. Billie smiles and says it is. Things go silent as Jack asks Billie if she has calmed down. Billie says she's fine. Jack nods and says that's good. He tells Billie that he would like to talk to her later in a calm manner about things so they can work everything out. Billie tells Jack she was calm last night until he started acting like an idiot who refuses to listen to reason. Jack tells Billie that it's not the place to argue. Billie tells Jack she doesn't care and then mentions talking later. She asks why they can't talk now. Jack explains he has a lunch date with Elizabeth and Alex. Billie turns away in disgust and takes a deep breath. Jack reminds Billie that Alex is his son and he needs to bond with him. Billie tells Jack she gets that but then stops herself before going on. She tells Jack she can't deal with this. It feels like she is talking to a brick wall. Billie goes over to Frankie and Greta. Billie tells Greta she is so happy she is awake and that she will come by later and visit so they can catch up. Greta whispers "thank you." Frankie explains that Greta is going to need rehab to help regain some motor skills and to help get her communicating again. Billie says it's understandable and tells Greta to let her know if she needs anything. Greta nods. Billie then motions to Frankie to follow her. Frankie does and asks what's up. Billie urges Frankie to tell Greta how he feels about her. It's been obvious for months and life is too short, as they both know, to wait another day, let alone moment. Frankie isn't sure he can and doesn't want anyone to get hurt. He doesn't want to lose his friendship with Greta. Billie thinks about her and Jack and tells Frankie that it doesn't matter. She uses Jack and her as an example, noting that it may not be the best example with their problems right now. Frankie thinks it's too much of a risk. Billie tells Frankie he doesn't have to worry about a make version of Elizabeth showing up to cause problems. Neither he or Greta has any past loves out there with Eric and Jennifer both gone. Frankie tells Billie he will think about it. Billie smiles and embraces Frankie, telling him she will come by and check on Greta later. Frankie tells Billie he will see her at Lucas and Joelle's meeting. Billie nods and walks by Jack without acknowledging him. Jack turns and watches Billie leave and sighs. Outside the room, Billie looks in and watches Jack with Frankie and Greta. She wipes tears from her eyes and says that she just doesn't know what else to do. She walks away as the scene shifts to the nurses station, where Caroline is talking to Victor. She tells him she is sorry to interrupt but just thought he should know and the doctors had tried to reach him and failed. Victor says he was busy all night and had a good part of his men dealing with a situation so things were in chaos. Victor thanks her for telling him and says he will be right over. Victor hangs up and Maggie, who is still in their bed, asks what is going on. Victor smiles and tells her Greta is awake. He tells Maggie he hates to cut their morning short but he really wants to see her. Maggie says it's no problem and that she will go with him. She then gets out of bed and and grabs some clothes as Victor thanks her and goes into the bathroom to begin getting ready. Meanwhile, Max and Stephanie leave Greta's room. Max says he is happy for Frankie. He was so worried about Greta. Stephanie says she can tell Frankie cares for Greta. Max tells Stephanie he wishes he could admit to both Greta and himself. Stephanie thinks he will in time. Max then mentions that he forgot to ask her if she has heard from Abby. Stephanie shakes her head, saying she figures she is still with friends. Max tells her he figured she would contact her since she is her cousin and admits he is a little worried. He just thinks it's suspicious she would take off shortly after Jack came home and in the midst of her therapy. Stephanie thinks it's weird too but can't find reason to worry. Max notes that Forrest is missing too and he just thinks it's strange. His gut tells him it's no coincidence. Stephanie asks if Max talked to Jack. Max says that Jack is the one that told him Abby was with friends when he called looking for her after she wasn't answering her cell. Max mentions that he got the sense that Jack seemed worried about something but it would just be an assumption to say that he was worried about Abby. He tells Stephanie that he isn't going to keep asking Jack because he has enough on his mind and he doesn't want to push. Stephanie tells Max she can't imagine Jack lying to him about Abby as there is no good reason for that. Max shakes his head in frustration and tells Stephanie he just can't shake the feeling something more is going on here and admits he doesn't like the feeling he's getting. Malibu, California Forrest comes into the kitchen carrying a bag while talking to Miranda on the cordless phone. Miranda can't believe he is just giving up and that he told Abby everything. Forrest tells her he had no choice. Abby overheard them and there was no way out of the situation. She's not stupid. An angry Miranda tells Forrest she knew something like this would happen and thinks Sylvia played a role because of her resemblance to Abby. Forrest thinks she did too. Miranda asks what he plans to do now. Forrest says he has already told Dr. Dobbs that he is leaving and for him to keep treating Abby. Forrest adds that he will continue to fund the cost of her therapy. Miranda tells Forrest she will have to call him back. There is something she has to do. She hangs up as Dr. Dobbs enters the kitchen. Meanwhile, Abby sits in her room near her bed. She recalls everything Forrest told her last night and her reaction and wonders if she has handled this all wrong. Dr. Dobbs asks if Forrest is sure about leaving. Forrest nods and asks if he told Abby. Dr. Dobbs says he told her through the door of her room. He assures him that she is still in there but remains silent. Forrest thought that was the case. He then enters the hallway and walks to the door of Abby's room. He tells her through the door that he is leaving now and she doesn't have to worry about him being around anymore. The ISA will likely take a new approach and he assures her that Dr. Dobbs will continue working with her and that he will take care of the payment. Forrest tells Abby he does care for her and that he has enjoyed the past few months with her. He considered her a dear friend and promises her this was never about her looking like Sylvia or some other ulterior motive. It was simply about protecting her. Forrest says he just hopes she can understand that in time and apologizes for lying to her. Forrest then turns away and picks up his bags. He thanks Dr. Dobbs for his help and hands him an envelope full of cash, telling him that should take care of everything. Dr. Dobbs wishes him luck and promises that Abby will be well taken care of. Abby is listening to everything behind her door and wonders if she was too harsh and not understanding enough. Just then, the phone rings. Dr. Dobbs answers it. It's Miranda, who tells Dr. Dobbs who she is and to put Abby on the phone. Dr. Dobbs tells her that Abby has locked herself in her room. Miranda asks if there is a phone in her room to which Dr. Dobbs replies there is but Forrest and hims disabled all the phones but the main phone so she couldn't get away. Miranda just tells him to put her on the phone. Forrest asks Dr. Dobbs what is going on. Dr. Dobbs fills him in and tells Abby she has a phone call. He lies and says it's her father. Abby is shocked and opens the door slightly, asking if this is a trick. Dr. Dobbs hands her the phone and tells her to see for herself. Abby takes the phone and closes the door completely, locking it. She answers the phone, acting as if it's Jack and telling him she misses him and wants to come him. Miranda tells Abby that she is not speaking with her father. She introduces herself and tells Abby that she is in great danger. Everything Forrest said is true and he is the best chance she has at protection for herself and her family. Miranda assures her that Forrest is on the up and up and that he really wants to bring his brother down. She tells Abby she must listen to Forrest and do what he says. Not just for her sake but her loved ones' sakes. Abby asks how she knows this isn't a trick. Miranda tells her she don't but she can always call Shane Donovan, who is her former partner, and he can vouch for who she is. She tells Abby to trust her instincts and that she is confident she will make the right decision. Miranda hangs up as a confused Abby wonders what to believe and what she should do. UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Jack sits with Greta and tells her about all she has missed. Greta is shocked that Jack has a son. Jack smiles, saying he would like him to work at The Spectator too, if that is ok with her. Greta smiles, having difficulty talking. Jack tells her it's ok. They can talk about that when she is better. He tells her not to worry about The Specator and that he will take care of everything as he has all along. Greta thanks him. Jack looks at his watch and says he has to go but he will be back soon. Greta nods and they both embrace. Jack tells Frankie she is all his and leaves. Greta smiles at Frankie and tells him she could hear him talking to her all along. Frankie says he was there pretty much every day for the entirety of visiting hours. Greta laughs and says he must have no life. Frankie laughs and shakes his head, saying he cares about her. Greta and Frankie lock eyes. Frankie tells Greta there is something he has to tell her. Just then, Victor and Maggie walk in. Victor races right over to Greta and embraces her. He then kisses her hand and says it's such a relief to have her back. Greta says she could hear him talking to her too. He says he is her father and there ways nothing that would keep him from being by her side. Greta smiles. Victor says he looks forward to them spending time together now and promises he will not take this second chance they have for granted. Greta says she won't either. They hug as a tearful Maggie watches, telling Frankie how beautiful the scene is. Frankie agrees, saying Victor already seems to have fallen in love with his newfound daughter. Greta then remembers Frankie wanted to tell her something and tells Victor she is sorry but she wants to hear what he had to say since it seemed important. She calls to Frankie and asks what he wanted to say. Frankie tells her it's ok. It can wait. They have nothing but time now. Greta and Frankie both smile at each other as Greta turns her attention back to Victor. The scene then pans up to show Victor at Greta's bedside, talking to her, as Frankie and Maggie watch and then the scene fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... DIVORCE, TENSION, THREATS, RAGE, AND HEARTBREAK ROCK SALEM!!!
  18. OCTOBER 22, 2007-EPISODE #355: CURVEBALL PART 3 ORPHEUS' RESTAURANT As Stefano looks at Orpheus, his son, in shock, he starts to step backwards. One of his men on the inside see this and points a gun at the window. Roman sees this and fires a shot into the window, barely missing Stefano. Orpheus jumps up and takes two big steps before diving on top of Stefano and shielding him from the gunfire. At that very moment, Bo’s men come out of the shadows with weapons drawn. Stefano and Orpheus’s men take positions themselves and, as one of Stefano’s men gets antsy....... Gunfire erupts. Roman starts shooting Stefano and Orpheus’s men from the rooftop while glass from the front of the restaurant flies everywhere. Marlena is accidentally pushed outside into the middle of the gunfight but, like the hero that he is, Bo comes flying up in his limousine and jumps out of the car, grabbing Marlena. At that moment, from around the corner, a black Corvette comes blazing down the street. The man known as Hawk slams on the breaks and jumps out, pulling out a huge nickel plated Magnum from his long black trench coat......... And opens fire at Stefano’s and Orpheus’s men. Injured and dead men are flying everywhere, as is the case on the inside of the restaurant. Stefano looks up at his newfound son.........and gives him a look of contempt. Orpheus looks down at his father..........and spits on the floor. Then, both men get to their feet, then duck down and make their escape. Out in the streets......... Bo has pushed Marlena into the limousine and, as he takes cover, looks up at Roman. Both men’s eyes lock as Bo gives his brother the order. At that moment, in slow motion, Roman drops the sniper rifle, reaches down to his bag..........and pulls out a machine gun! He then throws his baseball cap off stands up, puts one foot on the railing in front of him........ And opens fire, spraying the entire street and storefront with a rain of bullets that have not been seen in this city in years. Men drop dead after being shot and killed, their bodies littered with bullets. Bo jumps into the limousine and orders his driver to........ Bo: DRIVE!!! YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!!!! The limousine driver guns the car as it flies down the street. Hawk jumps into his car, slams into reverse, backs up, turns, and floors the accelerator as the black Corvette flies off into the night. Roman sees that Bo, Marlena and Hawk have made their escape and puts the machine gun back into his bag. He then puts is cap back on, looks over the railing at the death and blood running in the streets, and quickly makes his escape as well off the building. Inside the restaurant, dead men and women lay everywhere as Orpheus and Stefano make their getaways. Stefano turns to his left and thanks........ Stefano: Lincoln. Thank you.........for pulling me out of there. Lincoln: No problem, Stefano. What the hell just happened? Stefano: We were blindsided tonight. That’s what happened. And I know by who. Lincoln: Victor.......... Stefano: (Smiling) Yes. Yes, indeed. At that moment, Stefano gets a phone call from none other than........ Orpheus: Well, no thanks for saving your miserable life? Stefano: Thanks? HA!! You must be CRAZED. I’ll thank you when I bury you, how about that? Orpheus: And here I thought we could go to a ball game sometime.......and you could buy me a hot dog. Stefano: You must have gotten your sense of humor from that witch mother of yours. Orpheus: Don’t you talk about her like that, !@#$%^&*]. She must have feared you enough to hide me for all those years. Stefano: And that is what I’m going to get to the bottom of. Starting tonight. There is no way in HELL I could be the father of a BASTARD like you! Orpheus: We’ll see who the bastard is.........DAD.........when this war is over. Goodnight.........and sleep well. Orpheus hangs up the phone as Stefano orders Lincoln to get every man in Italy on this right now. He wants answers..........and he wants them now, before he is forced to kill his own son. As the police drive up to the deadly scene, Anna and Tony come driving up as well. They get out and survey the death and destruction as Anna asks Tony when this all will end. As Anna turns her back, one of Orpheus’s lone gunmen walks out from around the corner and, mistaking Anna for Marlena, takes aim at her. Tony, who is standing a few feet away, turns to see this, and in slow motion, runs toward Anna. At that moment, a shot rings out and Tony lands on Anna as they both fall to the street. When Tony looks at Anna..........she is not responding. Tony begs for Anna to be ok and, after a few very anxious moments,........she starts to stir. Anna looks up into Tony’s loving eyes..........and she embraces him, as he smiles and hugs her for all it’s worth. They then look over towards where the shot came from........and see the gunman laying in the street, dead. When they look at the figure walking down the alley across the street and into the night........ The scene shifts to the other side of the street to see a smiling Roman Brady pull the brim of his baseball cap down as he gets into a black Cadillac and drives off into the night. Two hours later, after Bo has dropped Marlena off at her home and left men there, Roman comes flying into the house, looking for her. When she comes running downstairs, he pointedly asks....... Roman: What in the !@#$%^&*] was that, woman?! You could have gotten yourself killed. Marlena: Oh, that’s really something, coming form Mr. Lee Harvey Oswald here. Since when did you take up sniper work, huh? Roman: That’s not the damn point......... Marlena: IT IS THE DAMN POINT!!! I wouldn’t have had to do none of that [!@#$%^&*] if I had had my husband here by my side. You still don’t see that, do you? Roman: Yes, I do, Doc. But this isn’t like...........the Strangler, or when Stefano kidnapped you or the twins, or when Orpheus has played one of his sick games. This is three men fighting for control of this city and each other’s destruction. I had to take a side..........and I did. Please understand that and realize that this has nothing to do with you. Marlena: Then we have nothing more to say to each other. There’s the door. Don’t let it hit you in that stupid ass of yours on the way out. Oh and by the way...... Your [!@#$%^&*] is in the closet. I suggest you take it with you. Marlena stomps back upstairs as Roman storms to the closet, takes out his luggage, opens the door, and slams it behind him. He then jumps in his car and speeds off into the night, leaving a dejected........and crying Marlena upstairs........alone. PIER Tony walks with Anna. They stop to sit down and Anna says that Salem is just as lively as ever. Tony then turns to her and asks if the look she gave him tonight meant something. Anna pauses, then says that he disappeared from that very pier years ago in a fog and took her heart with him. She doesn’t know if she can go through that again. As Anna stands up, Roman comes walking down the stairs to where the couple is sitting and Anna looks at both men, saying that they really need to figure out what’s important to them........before it’s too late. She then says she is going to check on Marlena, leaving Roman and Tony to look at each other and then out into the Salem River, as Roman says..... Roman: Damn, man. What a night. Tony: Sure as hell was, Roman. The scene then fades back to............ KIRIAKIS MANSION Bo walks into the living room. Victor walks over, hands him a drink, and shakes his hand. Bo says Victor shouldn’t be too proud of him with how he screwed up. Hawk, who was outside, walks into the living room as well, telling Bo that Victor knows how well he did tonight. Bo thanks Hawk for his timely intervention. Hawk says it was all in the wrist. He then finishes his brandy and says he has a meeting with a beautiful lady. They will talk tomorrow morning. Victor and Bo say their goodbyes and, as Hawk leaves, Nico walks into the room. Bo walks past Victor and Victor notices that Bo seems distracted. Bo says that he is waiting for word from one of his men on a private matter. When Victor asks what it is, Bo reluctantly tells him it has to do with Hope and then quickly follows it up with a request to leave it alone. Bo then walks past Victor and upstairs to the surveillance room as Roman walks into the room. He asks Victor if he could crash at his place and Victor smiles, telling Nico to instruct one of the servants to get a room ready. As Nico leaves, Victor picks up his cellphone and makes a call............. Victor: Well...........I guess a Father’s Day card is in order. Stefano: (Laughing) Excellent move, my friend. Victor: You would have done the same......... Stefano: Oh, and I will. The oil tankers were the first salvo. The next one will be the last. Victor: Well, dear friend, better get two coffins ready, one for you........ And one for that bastard of yours. Good evening. Stefano: (Smiling) Till we meet again. Both men hang up as Victor looks at Roman. He tells him that Bo is very distracted and now is not the time for that. Roman says he’ll talk to him. Victor says he better.........before this........distraction........costs him dearly. The scene shifts to Roman and then back to Victor, as it fades out into......... ORPHEUS'S PENTHOUSE Orpheus walks into his darkened bedroom and sits down on the end of the bed. He then reaches over and picks up a picture of a woman. He looks at it and then, after a few moments, presses it to his face, while quietly saying.......... Orpheus: Why.............why didn’t you tell me? Why didn’t you tell me? The scene then goes into a close-up on him holding the picture to his face...........and then it slowly fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... A MIRACLE OCCURS!!
  19. WEEK OF OCTOBER 21, 2007 EDITION THIS WEEK MARKS THE SIXTH EDITION OF THE WEEKLY SL INSIDER FEATURE, "THE WRITER'S CORNER." EACH WEEK I, TIM LOWERY (BETTER KNOWN AS PHOENIXRISING05), AND MY FELLOW SALEM LIVES HEAD WRITER, PATRICK L. SO, WITHOUT FURTHER ADIEU, HERE WE GO: THIS WEEK'S WRITER IN THE HOT SHEET: PATRICK EWING (ROMAN) Q: Do you care to respond to the story line point that Alyson let Nicole off with a warning when she was caught taking Sam, Alyson son? A: A: We will fix that this upcoming week. Sometimes a plot point needs to progress for it to get to the point it was meant to be. I didn't agree with it, but went along with it after my partner and I came to an understanding that in the future, it would not be wise to have this happen again. I hope that our readers stick with this character to see what is coming up. Q: Whose idea was it to put Jack and Billie together and to try out the Steve/Hope “experiment”? A: Well, that was my partner. He wanted to see where the fans would lean to and he was right on. Jack and Billie are a match made because there is so much history between them that can be tapped into. And Steve and Hope........what is there to say? Fans have been wanting them together for years. So, he thought it would be time to try it out to see where it goes. It is working out very well. Stay tuned, though. More of that is to come. Q: Stefano seems to have found his backbone in recent episodes. What is the thought process behind this? A: Stefano became a man who talked WAY too much [!@#$%^&*] and wasn’t backing it up. And, frankly, I think readers got sick and tired of him always threatening someone and then sitting back and playing chess, listening to opera or having a brandy. It was time for this great man to take action, and, as Hogan Sheffer would say, “Get his balls back!” I hope the readers think he has and, rest assured, he will not go back to being some damn mouse just talking [!@#$%^&*] and not backing it up. From now on, this Stefano DiMera means business! (laughs) Q: Does that mean that Victor or any others will be sacrificed to make Stefano stronger? A: Oh, hell no. Some of the best and most humbling comments I have read came from readers who said they loved Victor and how he is written. The challenge is to keep him just as strong as Stefano and for it to make sense on the blog. We are up for that challenge. The characters will have the strength and the good sense to do what they need to do. None of that dumbing down characters just to prop up some other character. Victor will remain a vital figure, just as vital as Stefano. Q: What is coming up next? A: Tune in Friday, October 26th and you’ll see. It has already started but it kicks into high gear on that day. The stakes rise. And, unlike that garbage on The Young And The Restless right now, we will deliver. Previews and Peeks into Wk of 10/22/07: -A Marriage Hangs In The Balance. -Violence Erupts Between Father And Son. -A Miracle Occurs. -Two Couples Are On The Brink. -Deadly Adversaries Prepare To Strike, And.......... On Friday, October 26th......... Salem’s Night Of Terror........Begins!!!!!!!! Next Week..........All HELL Breaks Loose!!! Witness The Most Terrifying Night Of Their Lives!!! Catching Up With: Philece Sampler Salem Lives sits down with Philece Sampler (ex-Renee, Days) to see what she’s been up to since leaving daytime and how she feels about a turn on Salem Lives. SLI: Thank you for sitting down with us, Philece. PS: Thank You. My pleasure. SLI: First question. Would you come back to daytime? PS: You know, I’m having a wonderful time doing voice work and just being a wife. My life is nice, slow, and easy. (laughs) I don’t see myself coming back to daytime. But, I do love the fact that Renee gets referenced on SL and Days. I truly don’t know how they could bring back a woman whose been dead for twenty years and was buried but, I guess you can ask Stephen Nichols for the answer to that question! (laughs) SLI: What do you think of SL? PS: It’s very exciting. I have spoken with both men who run that show and they seem to have their heads screwed on straight. It’s not perfect, nothing is. But, I truly love what they are doing there. The romance, action, adventure......it all works for them. SLI: Last question. How do you feel about Days killing off Renee, with so much story to be told? PS: That was their decision. Not mine. I still hear from fans, all these years later, that they feel it was stupid to kill her off after making her a DiMera and leaving the stuff with Tony and David so wide open. I’ll be P.C. and say that it may not have been the best move but I guess it was best for the show at the time. Who knows. I’m just glad that everyone accepted me into their living rooms every day and that they still remember me. SLI: Thanks for your time, Philece. PS: My pleasure. On Friday, October 26th......... Salem Braces Itself............ For The Ultimate Evil!!!!! A Night Of Terror...........Begins!!!!

  21. OCTOBER 19, 2007-EPISODE # 354: CURVEBALL PART 2 MAISON BLANCHE. NEW ORLEANS Hope and Steve continue to kiss at the door of the cabin but, when Steve places his hand on Hope’s breast, she pulls away and walks towards the fireplace. Steve walks over to her asking if she is alright, to which she shakes her head yes. She can’t even face him, finally saying that she’s sorry for what just happened. Steve tells her she has nothing to feel sorry for. If anything, he pushed himself onto her. Hope then turns and looks at him, saying that it maybe best for them to just go home and forget this whole thing ever happened, before the emotions and memories become too much. Steve agrees, saying that they both love their families way too much to do something like this. They can deal with the past when they feel better prepared to. Hope nods. They then quietly put their clothes back on and, after Steve puts out the fire, they both walk out into the forest and head back to the street. PIER Anna asks what Tony is talking about. What secret? He says it involves Stefano but, before he can say anything else, he stops himself as he looks at Anna, and asks where Marlena ran off to. She tells him Marlena is following Roman. Tony grabs his cell phone and tries to call Stefano but he isn’t answering. The scene then fades to.......... KIRIAKIS MANSION In Victor’s surveillance room, Victor is sitting with Nico as they watch the front of Orpheus’s restaurant. From that location, Victor receives a phone call. When he answers, it’s Bo, telling him that he is in one of the limos down the street from the restaurant. Victor tells him good but also tells him to be very careful. Bo smiles, saying......... Bo: I will, Dad. Victor is quiet as Nico slowly stands up and places his hand on Victor’s shoulder. Victor shakes his head and tells him....... Victor: Now look, Bo. We will have one shot at this, ok? Bo: I know that, Victor. I just wonder what’s going on in there. Victor: So do I, son........... As the scene fades to the inside of... ORPHEUS' RESTAURANT An angry Stefano holds a defiant Orpheus at gunpoint. He reminds Orpheus that if he’s wondering why a Magnum is pointed to his head, he need not think back too far. Just remember the Brady twins and everyone else he killed or hurt. Not to mention that he put a bullet in him not too long ago. For that, it’s time he dies. Orpheus tells him that it must have been quite a long time since he’s fired a gun, seeing as he has his lackeys do his dirty work for him. Orpheus did what he had to do. He started getting rid of everyone who stood in his way. Stefano says to what? Orpheus then grows silent and then he speaks up, saying he and the rest of Salem will see. As the scene turns back to a surprised Stefano, it then dissolves onto the top of a building across the street as Roman lays down on the blacktop and points a rifle at the entrance of the restaurant. What he doesn’t see is Marlena walking up the street. Bo sees her and calls Victor back, telling him that they have to hold off. Marlena follows one of Orpheus’s men behind the restaurant. She ducks behind crates and boxes as the man walks forward but stops when Tony calls her cell phone. Marlena gets very upset telling Tony.......... Marlena: Dammit! Why are you calling me? Tony: I have to tell you what I found out before you get yourself killed. Marlena: How do you know what I’m doing? Tony: Anna told me. Marlena: Never could keep her damn mouth shut. Tony: Marlena, do you want to hear this or not?! It will destroy Stefano. Marlena: Then by all means, go ahead. Tony tells her his news and Marlena’s eyes grow wide. She tells Tony that he is certainly right.........this will destroy him. She then says she has to go..........one of Orpheus’s men is coming back her way. Before Tony can tell her to get out of there, she hangs up, and kneels down further into the darkness. As the man walks by, Marlena stands up holding a 2 x 4 and hits him hard on his head, sending him crashing to the pavement unconscious. She then looks around and starts taking off his clothes so she can put them on. Bo gets out of the limo after it drives down the street and he instructs the driver to circle the block until he comes back. As Bo jumps out, he walks down the alleyway, looking for Marlena. A man walks past him and he hides his face as he walks past. After the man leaves, Bo continues to head down the alleyway, looking for Marlena. But, he stops, turns around and looks back down the deserted alleyway. He then sprints to the street, where the man that just past him is nowhere in sight. He then calls Victor, saying that Marlena just gave him the slip and he doesn’t know where she is. Victor smiles, saying........ Victor: I have always admired her resourcefulness. He then orders Bo to find her and says he will radio Roman and tell him that there is a complication. As Bo takes off, Victor tells Nico to get in touch with Roman. But, on top of the building, Roman has turned off his radio and leans back down to look through the lens towards the restaurant. As Nico turns and tells a concerned Victor that Roman isn’t answering, Marlena looks up and sees Roman on top of the building. She starts to run across the street so she can get into the building but when she opens the door.........a guard is standing there. He asks her what she’s doing there and Marlena lies, saying she needs to use the bathroom. The guard doesn’t believe her, saying that there is one across the street. Another man comes in and asks who this is. The second man takes a good look at her and tells the first guard that it is Roman Brady’s wife. They need to get her over to Stefano. Now. The two guards take Marlena by either arm and drag her across the street. Bo sees this as they bring her out and runs over to them, jumping on one of the guards and knocking him to the ground. The other guard then turns and pulls a gun on Bo, who can’t reach his weapon in time. Just then, Bo’s men come running and pointing guns at Stefano’s men as one of them states that if anyone tries to get at Mrs. Brady, there will be a lot of blood running in the streets. Bo stands pat as the men take Marlena towards the restaurant and, as Victor and Nico watch from the mansion, Bo gives his men the order to stay on guard.......but not to fire. Roman fixes his sight on Marlena, not knowing it’s her under disguise. Before he can pull the trigger, she disappears into the restaurant. KIRIAKIS MANSION Victor orders Nico to tell Bo to pull their men back........for right now. As Nico calls Bo, Bo answers his phone. After a few moments, Bo hangs up, as he turns and looks at his men. Bo’s limousine pulls up as he silently gives the order for his men to stand down. Bo then gets in the limo and drives slowly away as his men disappear into the night. PIER Anna asks if Tony is going to tell Stefano. Tony smiles, saying it would give him no greater pleasure. Tony explains if not him, Marlena will, and he will just have to settle for providing the details. Either way, Stefano will feel unspeakable pain. However, Tony is worried Marlena may get caught in some sort of crossfire. Anna then says they have to find Marlena and help her. Tony grabs her by the arm, asking if anything has changed between them. Anna is silent and says there is no time for that as she shakes free and runs off, with a smiling Tony closely behind. ORPHEUS' RESTAURANT On The rooftop across from Orpheus' restaurant, Roman is angry that his one shot to end this war has slipped through his fingers as he turns his radio back on and checks in with Victor. Victor informs him that Stefano has Marlena in the restaurant and Roman demands to know why they didn’t stop her. Victor asks if Roman saw the 30 or so men who had guns pointed at one another. Roman says no. He was trained on the front door. Then, Victor says, remember that the next time he starts spouting off. Roman says that’s all well and good but Marlena is in danger. Victor says for Roman to tell him something he didn’t know as the scene fades into the restaurant, as Marlena is brought before Stefano and Orpheus. Stefano averts his gaze as he sees Marlena being brought in. He walks over to her as Orpheus stands and asks what is the meaning of this crude interruption. His man tells him that they found her trying to cross the street for some reason. Stefano looks at her, walks over to her, and says......... Stefano: So..........the lovely Marlena. Once again, you get involved in things that are NOT of your concern. Just like that blasted husband of yours. Marlena: Well, I’ll take that as a compliment, Stefano. He was always the better man. Stefano: More insults. Marlena: The truth, as I see it. Stefano: Very well. Have it your way, my precious flower. One day...........we WILL be together. That I can assure you. Marlena: I’d rather sleep with a carnival geek than to let you touch me. Stefano: SILENCE! (Looking at his men) Take Mrs. Brady away. I’ll deal with her later. As Marlena is being led back outside once again, Stefano turns his attention back to Orpheus, who says to him........ Orpheus: My, my. Can’t keep your women in check, I see. Stefano: Still with the smart mouth. Well.........that is about to be fixed...........permanently. As Stefano raises the gun towards Orpheus, Marlena is being dragged to a waiting limousine. As she struggles, she looks up towards the rooftop and the scene zooms in on a determined Roman, as he once again aims the gun towards the door. Marlena kicks one guard in the shin and pushes the other guard away as she runs toward the restaurant, determined to stop Roman........ Stefano points his gun at Orpheus and starts to squeeze the trigger. Marlena comes bursting in. Everyone points their weapons at her as two guards grab her. Stefano does not advert his gaze from Orpheus this time and asks what is Marlena’s game this time? She says she’s learned a secret he must know. Stefano smiles, saying that he knows all. There is no secret that would shock him and that’s when Marlena blurts out......... Marlena: Then how about the fact.............that you have a gun pointed at........... YOUR VERY OWN SON?! BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW THAT!!!! DID YOU STEFANO?!? Stefano stares at Orpheus, who stumbles backwards in shock and collapses in a chair as the scene splits in two once again, as Stefano and Orpheus, Father and Son, stare at each other in shock......... And the scene freeze frames...........and then suddenly goes black! ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!!!
  22. OCTOBER 18, 2007-EPISODE #353: CURVEBALL MAISON BLANCHE, NEW ORLEANS Having arrived in New Orleans, Steve and Hope get out of a cab down the street from Maison Blanche. A severe thunderstorm blankets the destroyed area as Steve and Hope run towards the mansion. They stop suddenly as they see armed guards covering every entrance to the huge structure, a new protocol since their last visit. Steve grabs Hope as a guard heads in their direction and they both run to one of the cabins on the grounds, deep in the woods. Once inside, they try their best to dry off. Steve offers to start a fire to warm them up. Hope thanks him as she starts to remove her wet clothing. Steve looks over at Hope and she catches him as he turns his head quickly towards the fire once again. Steve then starts to remove his shirt as Hope comes and sits by the fire. As she sits down, Steve looks at her and smiles and Hope returns it in kind. What neither can’t shake is how they feel at this moment and Steve and Hope start to slowly lean into each other. They stare at each other as they get closer and the couple finally pass that last barrier........ As the tension is broken............with a steamy kiss. As the kiss ends, Hope looks into Steve’s eyes and then turns away. She gets up and runs over to get her wet clothes. She throws them on and tries to hit the door but Steve jumps up and walks briskly to the door to stop her. He grabs her by the arm as she opens the door and asks her....... Steve: What’s the matter, Hope? Hope: Nothing. I just had a memory flash of.......... Steve: Our time together. I know because I had the same memory flash. Hope: Damn. Steve: Aye........don’t damn it, baby. Just give in........... And with that, Steve starts leaning in once again. Hope leans back and Steve gently pushes her against the doorway as the thunderstorm roars outside. They look at each other as Steve steps forward and Hope responds as they both throw themselves at each other...... And kiss each other passionately as the rain pours down on them......... DIMERA PENTHOUSE Stefano sits and watches a fencing match from Europe. Lincoln calls on his cell phone and one of Stefano’s servants brings it to him........ Stefano: Ahhh.........dear Lincoln. How are our plans going? Lincoln: Orpheus is right where you want him. They found where he goes to eat dinner at 3 nights a week. A private restaurant he owns. You’ll have a clear shot there. Stefano: Good. Excellent. Well...........move our men into position and let me know when his men have been neutralized. Lincoln: No problem. Stefano: Call me when it’s time for my arrival. We’ll get one shot at this..........there are to be NO slip ups, understood? Lincoln: Perfectly. Stefano bids farewell to Lincoln and right after he hangs up his phone, it rings again. Stefano goes and pours himself a glass of water as his servant answers it and then announces that it is Dr. Marlena Evans Brady. Stefano smiles as he walks over and takes the phone, asking how the lovely Marlena is doing. She responds by saying that he will need the same plastic surgeon he used on Roman if he doesn’t keep up his end of the bargain. Stefano says she doesn’t sound much like the fair lady he fell in love with and she says that’s what happens when some !@#$%^&*] is trying to destroy her life. Stefano laughs, saying that she needs work on her manners. Marlena asks if he plans to get Roman out of the middle of this war. He says he will keep his end of the bargain, so long as Marlena doesn’t forget the favor he is doing for her and her family. She says that sounds like a threat, to which Stefano says it’s no threat. Just the truth. Marlena hangs up the phone and as Stefano does once again, he smiles and chuckles. One of Stefano’s men then comes in and says that Orpheus is on route to his restaurant. Stefano tells him....... Stefano: Well, let’s hurry up. I don’t want to keep this bastard waiting. The armed man puts Stefano’s coat on him as they both leave quickly, the elevator door closing on their faces. ROMAN AND MARLENA'S HOUSE Roman rushes in and goes into the back room. Marlena sees him come in like a whirlwind and asks him what is going on. Roman says he’s on his way to get some payback for what happened to Sami and Eric. Marlena says that he doesn’t have to do that. She has taken care of everything and soon they can start trying to put their lives back together. Roman says maybe they can.........after he does this one thing. He looks at her as he stops at the door and then turns and walks out the door and into the night, getting into Victor’s limousine and driving off. Marlena turns and instead of getting upset once again, remembers some costume she wore years ago for a undercover mission she helped Roman on. She rushes upstairs. Forty-five minutes later, she comes back downstairs, her appearance changed almost completely. She calls the guard outside her home and tells him that she needs to go to the store and would he come inside and help her with some things. He says he would and, after she puts the cell phone down, goes to the closet and gets one of Roman’s wooden baseball bats. When the guard rings the doorbell, Marlena lets him in and when he walks past her, she hits him with the bat, knocking him out cold. Marlena looks down at the man, saying that she never did like baseball that much anyway, drops the bat, closes and locks the door, and races off towards the pier. PIER Anna is walking on the pier when she sees Marlena run up. She asks Marlena where she’s going and she responds that she’s tailing Roman and seen him going in this direction. Anna says she just saw a limousine drive by, going towards the city. Marlena says she has to be going but will fill her in later. They say their goodbyes to each other and Marlena races off after Roman. A few moments later, Tony, having just returned to Salem, rushes up on the pier. Anna remarks that she hasn’t seen the pier get this much action since the naval fleet was in Salem. Tony says........... Tony: I have to find Stefano! Anna: What now?! What is so damned important that you have to rush off like this? Tony: News, darling. I just found something out......... That will absolutely destroy Stefano. And I have to get to him...........right now! Tony races off and Anna has had enough. She turns, sees where Tony is going, and races off after him. ORPHEUS'S RESTAURANT Orpheus gets out of his limousine as he is being led into the 5-star restaurant. His men check out the place, as always, to make sure that everything is fine. Orpheus walks to his table and, as the waiter asks him what will he be having, he says the usual. As the waiter leaves, Orpheus turns to one of his men and asks if the waiter is someone new. The man says yes. The previous waiter was sick and they got this guy at the last minute. Orpheus asks very sternly if he was checked out and the guard says he doesn’t know. Orpheus’s eyes grow wide and, at that moment, before he can utter one word, the waiter pulls a gun and points at Orpheus’s head. Other patrons in the restaurant, both men and women, pull out all types of weaponry, as each of Orpheus’s men are subdued. The waiter tells Orpheus to sit tightly in his seat..........there is someone who wants to have a word with him. At that moment, Stefano walks in, dressed in black, and pulling a .357 Magnum from his trench coat. He slowly walks up to Orpheus, points the gun to his head, and as a extremely defiant Orpheus stares daggers into him, a equally defiant Stefano says........... Stefano: So, where do you want it............HEAD OR HEART, YOU ROTTEN [!@#$%^&*] BASTARD?! The scene then splits screens as Stefano and Orpheus stare at each other..........as it freeze frames and then slowly fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... A SHOCKING REVELATION!!!
  23. OCTOBER 17, 2007: EPISODE #352: CHOICES OF THE HEART CARVER HOUSE Abe brings Theo downstairs and tells him to watch cartoons until mommy gets there. Celeste tells Abe they really should try to find a way to get Alexandra to talk to them. Abe reminds Celeste that Lexie has taken every measure possible to avoid that. She sends people over to get Theo or waits in the car while someone else enters to get him. Celeste tells Abe they should refuse to let anyone in but him. She tells Abe they need to know once and for all if she saw their kiss. Abe agrees but thinks they have to be careful. He gets the sense that Lexie is in a vulnerable state and doesn't want to cause her to further distance herself from them. Celeste sees his point and says she has something else on her mind too. Abe asks her to go ahead and tell him. Celeste tells Abe she feels they need to discuss what happened between them. SALEM INN Lexie is on her way out through the lobby when she spots Anna rummaging through her purse. Lexie comes over and says hello. Anna gives Lexie the same greeting and says she didn't know Lexie was staying there. Lexie says she is until she can figure out some things. Anna tells her she knows the feeling. Anna then asks how Tony is doing. Lexie says she wouldn't know as he has been in and out of town handling something. Anna thinks that is strange. Lexie looks at Anna inquisitively and asks her why she just doesn't talk to Tony and give him another chance. She can see she still cares about him. Anna tells Lexie she will always care for Tony but he messed up things with Carrie and it's hard for her to get over some things that happened before he left her all those years ago. She tells Lexie she wishes it was that easy to just forgive him or push him out of her life like a bad dress or something but she can't. Lexie says she understands and feels the same way about Abe. Lexie then looks at her watch and says she must be getting going. She tells Anna to take care and invites her to do lunch with her sometime. Anna likes the idea and bids her good night as the scene shifts to... The Salem Inn bar area, where Jean is still staring down Doug after their tense exchange. Doug apologizes to her, saying he has alot on his mind. Doug: I'm worried about my daughter and...well... Jean: Marital problems? Doug: How did you know? Jean: I can tell. God knows, I have had my fair share with my ex. So, what did she do? Cheat on you? Damn! I'm so sorry to be so blunt. I... Doug: No. It's ok. She didn't cheat on me. Although, it would be much easier if she had. She lied to me about something for months. Something that caused me to nearly die and to lie in a coma for weeks. Jean: Oh my...why would she do such a thing? Doug: Well, her aunt had been going through some tough times. She lost her husband and fell off the wagon. There was just guy she became involved with after her husband's death. He hurt her real bad and there was an incident. Whatever the case, I ended up in a coma and near death and she lied about it. Jean: To protect her aunt, who had something to do with this? Doug: Right. Her aunt had lost control and got drunk. One thing led to another... Jean: So, your wife is a devoted family gal? Doug: Yeah. Always has been. Jean: That's a damn good thing. Most people would love that. Doug: I do. It's just... Jean: This seems like a situation that wasn't easy for her. You know, sometimes someone tells a lie for reasons they believe are right. Sometimes the circumstances aren't so cut and dry. I mean, there are white lies but there are also major lies that one feels they need to tell to help a person, protect them... Doug: I know but I just can't see it... Jean: The person that gets hurt always has trouble seeing the reasoning but, believe me, it's not that the person wants to do it. Doug: You sound like your speaking from personal experience. Jean: My ex-husband and I used to lie to each other all the time. We blamed each other but, looking back on it now, I think we see the both of us were at fault. I mean, he may have cheated first but then I went ahead and did the same thing and lied about it. Mistakes were made on both ends. I just feel bad that my daughter was in the middle of it. She blamed herself for the divorce because she was in a rebellious phase then and her father and I would argue over her at times. After the divorce, she came to live with me but had this big falling out with her father. She blamed him for everything and lashed out at him for hurting me, even though she knew I had did some things to bring the divorce on as well. She told her father she hated him and walked out, never to see him again. That is why I didn't tell her when I heard about his death in a sailing accident. Doug: What? Jean: I knew she would feel a tremendous amount of guilt. I couldn't do that to her. She told him she hated him and those were her last words to him. She would never forgive herself or get over it and she is in enough emotional turmoil as it is. I know it was wrong but I felt it was right and still do. I just want to protect her and I will always do whatever it takes to do that. I'm sure your wife felt the same way when she did what she did. She felt she was helping family and protecting them. That is what you do. Protect your own. It's a natural inclination. Doug: Yeah, I guess it is. I suppose I would do the same thing for my daughter. Jean: And her, right? Doug: Yes...yeah. I can't believe I am just opening up to a stranger like this. Jean: Hey, I'm doing the same thing. We both played the game here so, what do you say we keep everything said between us? Doug: Fair enough. But I don't even know your name. Jean: Jean Parker (puts out her hand). Doug: Doug Williams (shakes her hand and smiles). You know, it's funny. I sit here and think I have the right to judge others, including my wife, but I really have no right. It's hypocritical. I was a con artist early on in my life. I schemed and plotted to rip good people off... Jean: Anyone that is hurt feels the need to judge the person at fault. It's just natural. What your feeling is normal. Doug: You really are a good listener. I'm glad we met here tonight. It's been a great talk. Jean: Yes, it has. I couldn't agree more. Doug and Jean both smile at each other as the scene shifts to... HORTON HOUSE Maggie comes out of the kitchen with some of Alice's doughnuts as Julie tells Alice that Doug could be gone already. She just knows it's over. Maggie tells Julie not to think like that. Alice tells Julie to just have faith. Alice tells Julie to think of all that she and Doug have. They are destined to be together until the end of their lives. Maggie tells Julie that Alice is right and Julie just needs to hang on to that. Julie isn't sure she can or if that is enough. She doesn't know what she will do if Doug leaves her. She can barely keep it together now. Maggie tells Julie she will have her family and friends by her side if it does happen. She won't be alone. Maggie tells her not to worry though because she feels Doug and her will be back in each other's arms soon enough. A tearful Julie hopes she and Alice are right. Maggie embraces her and tells Julie to just believe and keep the faith as Alice watches and looks to the heavens above, asking Tom to help Doug and Julie through this difficult time. She says they need all the guidance they can get. MOTEL AT NASHVILLE AIRPORT Steve is going through his bag when he hears a scream coming from the bathroom. He calls out to Hope and asks if she is ok. She screams again. Steve races over to the bathroom. Another scream comes from the bathroom. Steve breaks down the door to see that a pipe under the sink has burst and Hope, who is clad only in a towel, is trying to stop the water. Steve goes over to Hope, who falls backward into his arms. Her towel falls off as Hope looks up at Steve and the two lock eyes. Steve tells Hope he's got her. After a few moments of silence, Hope says she can see that. Steve looks down and tries to tell her about the towel but can't seem to get the words out of his mouth. Hope continues to look into his eyes but finally stirs and realizes her towel fell off. She freaks out, picks up the towel, and races out of the room as a clearly affected Steve watches her run out. MALIBU, CALIFORNIA Forrest begs Abby to listen to him. He tells her he is working with a former ISA partner of Shane Donovon's. Her name is Miranda Grey. Forrest tells her The ISA sought him out last winter to help in their mission because they had received intelligence that Lawrence was on the warpath. Katerina had left him after learning that he handed Steve over to Stefano after his "death." She heard about how he faked Steve's death and it upset her so much that she took off and no one has heard from her since. Forrest explains that Lawrence blames Jack because Katerina learned about Steve from The Spectator. She would always get it once and awhile to check up on Salem. She always seemed to feel drawn to it, despite her loss of memory. Forrest explains his brother losing Katerina left him with nothing. He is now being driven by a desire for revenge. It's all he had and all that keeps him going. He wants everyone to share in his misery. Forrest explains the ISA came to him last winter and said they wanted to him to help to protect her. Lawrence wanted to get his revenge on his enemies through her. Jennifer was gone and he thought it would be poetic justice against you and so many others. I was suspicious of my brother still concerning Sylvia's death and had felt for years he needed to be brought down so I obliged. The ISA learned of Orpheus', then known to them and everyone as the MCF, ship in Italy. They knew people were being held on board from chatter they picked up on. They didn't know the details but they knew that Abby was on her way so they decided to plant him on board the ship. Forrest admits it was risky but the ISA observed the ship and it seemed the bottom cell rooms were for the imprisoned so they deduced that only one more room was available for prisoners. Forrest explains he got himself captured by walking around on the ship and that is who he was in the position he ended up in when Abby and him met. Forrest says he is just lad it went smoothly and that their plans went as well as they did. Forrest tells Abby he knew he had to get close to you so she would trust him when the time comes. That is why he pulled out all the stops to impress her. He explains that Dr. Dobbs also came in for that reason. He was to help solidify the trust but he had to be used to get Abby out of Salem. Forrest explains that was done to brief Abby on what was happening when they felt it was time. This way, she wouldn't run away nor would there be anyone standing in the way and interrupting. Plus, they can't let her loved ones in on this or Lawrence will know they are on to him. He tells Abby it wasn't supposed to be now that she found out. Abby still can't help but wonder if her resemblance to Sylvia is the bigger reason why he is doing this. Forrest shakes his head, saying he can't lie that he doesn't think about Sylvia nearly everytime he looks at her but he assures her that he didn't take the case due to the resemblance. He did it to bust his brother, who could've killed Sylvia, and to protect her and those she loves. Abby asks Forrest if she knows of Lawrence's plans. Forrest shakes his head and says nothing concrete. Forrest asks Abby if she believes him. Abby looks at him and then wheels away. Dr. Dobbs yells out to her, assuring her that Forrest's intentions are true and good. Abby wheels into her bedroom as Forrest tells Dr. Dobbs to give it up. He blew it and the mission is a failure. Meanwhile, Abby thinks about all that she has just heard and wonders if Forrest is telling the truth or if he is trying to make her his replacement for Sylvia. She wheels over to her bed and says she has no idea what to believe right now. SALEM INN Jean has just finished telling Doug about her and her daughter and their connection to the Brady's through Samuel being Eric's son. Doug is shocked by the story and tells her Eric was a great man and he is sure Samuel will grow up to be just like him. Doug also tells her the Brady's are a great family and very welcoming. Jean says she knows that and affirms they have been great. Jean looks at her watch and says that she lost complete track of time and that she must be going. Her daughter probably needs her. Doug tells her again that he enjoyed their talk. Jean says she did too and that she hopes to see him again. Doug smiles and says he will be around and that he hopes to see her too. Jean bids him good night and leaves as Doug looks back, watching her leave, and then thinks about what she said. He begins to wonder if he has been too hard to Julie and if he should at least talk things over with her. CARVER HOUSE Abe sits Celeste down and tells her that he thought they understood each other. Celeste says she knows they have to put what happened in the past but reminds Abe that there was something there and she fears it could make itself known again. Abe says they can't let it. If they do, they may lose any change of ever having Lexie back in their life. Celeste admits to Abe she doesn't think it was love, although she does love him as her son in law. She tells him it felt more like one of those girlhood flings. Abe tells Celeste they were both vulnerable and were helping each other during a difficult time. They bonded and are now closer then they ever have been and he is grateful for that. Abe tells Celeste he feels the life and death situation on the cruise ship was what pushed things over the edge. He doesn't think they would've ever reached that point otherwise. Celeste isn't so sure. Abe says they may never know but thinks it's time that they move on and try to forget this so called infatuation ever happened. Celeste nods in agreement, saying it's what is best for everyone. Just then, the doorbell rings and it appears to Lexie's chauffeur, asking if Theo is ready. Celeste tells Abe to say Theo isn't coming out unless his mother is the one that comes to get him. Abe isn't sure that is a good idea but Celeste convinces him it's worth a try if it gets Alexandra in to talk to them. Abe does as Celeste suggested and, after a few minutes, an angry Lexie comes bursting in, demanding to know the meaning of this. Abe smiles, saying it finally got her inside to talk. Lexie realizes it was a trick and calls out for Theo, saying it's time to go. Abe grabs Lexie and begs her to just give him a few minutes. Lexie says she has nothing to say to him. Celeste begs her to just hear them out. They know what she saw on the cruise ship and want to explain. Lexie says there is nothing to explain. She knows where they all stand. Abe asks Lexie what that means. Lexie turns and says: Lexie: It means that I saw my mother kissing my husband. I heard that you two got close during my absence but seeing that... Abe: You were right, Celeste. She does know. Look, Lex... Lexie: No, Abe. I have nothing to say to either of you. You betrayed me. As far as I'm concerned, you both are out of my life and have been since that night on the ship. Celeste: Alexandra, please!! Lexie:No, mom. I'm through. No matter what happens...I'm through with the both of you. As far as I'm concerned, your both dead to me and I think it's about time I do something to finally move myself past all this. Makes me wonder why I didn't lash out and make this declaration months ago. I guess I just needed a little push. Thanks, Abe. Abe: Lexie, we can talk about this. Don't do anything you will regret. Lexie: I already did. The fact that I even thought about giving us another chance a few months ago...you'll be hearing from my lawyer, Abe. Abe: What? Lexie: You heard me. I've wasted enough time already. I'm ready to act now. I'm ready to move on. I'm filing for a divorce and you can expect Theo's custody to come into play again too. Celeste: Alex... Lexie: No!! Don't say anything. Theo, sweetheart!! Let's go!! Theo comes running out as Lexie takes his hand and tells him to say goodbye to daddy and grandma. Abe and Celeste embrace him and tell him to have fun. Lexie then looks back at them and turns away in disgust before walking out the door. Celeste asks Abe what they are going to do. Abe is silent and walks out of the room as tears stream down Celeste's face as she begins to realize she may have lost her daughter forever...and maybe her grandson too. MOTEL AT NASHVILLE AIRPORT Steve closes the door behind him after the hotel utility man leaves. Hope is laying on the bed. Steve tells her everything is cleaned up and fixed. Hope is silent. Steve apologizes for what happened. Hope says it;s not his fault. They both can't help themselves and she knew this would happen. Steve tells her they will just have to do a better job at keeping their emotions in check. Hope says they can try as hard as possible but the past and the emotions associated with it are strong. Hope doesn't think they can fight the power the memories have. She tells Steve she hasn't felt the same since that night they went to Maison Blanche and nearly made love. She tells him she is afraid of what they might do. Steve tells her he will make it his personal vow to her that he will fight whatever urges or feelings that come up. He will make this as easy as possible on both of them. Hope says she's tired and just wants to go to bed so tomorrow will come and they can go to Maison Blanche and get this all over with. She hopes the quicker they do it, the less likely that something will happen that could lead to heartache. Steve turns out the lights and says he can't argue with that. He then goes over to his bed and lays down. Hope turns the opposite way and wipes tears from her eyes. She says she has this awful feeling she is about to do something that can hurt the people she loves. She then prays to God that she doesn't do something she'll regret. Meanwhile, Steve does the same, asking the big guy upstairs for strength to fight what he is feeling before it's too late. The scene then pans up and fades away on Steve and Hope lying in their beds and then fades to black. ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES... MARLENA TAKES ACTION!!!
  24. Chelsea and Abby were ina bad car wreck last November. Abby was paralyzed in the crash and has been struggling to recover ever since.
  25. Jean is Alyson's mother. Jean and Alyson were created by two loyal readers of ours, Tishy and daysfan, as prizes for them finishing first and second in the Vendetta game earlier this year. Abby is in a normal beachhouse that Dr. Dobbs owns. They wanted to get her out of Salem to prevent distractions and stress to better treat her, only she is learning now what the deal really is with Forrest. As for the Dimera child, we haven't mentioned if it's a son or daughter yet but I can tell you it's not John. The character of John was changed back into Roman last year so there really isn't a John Black.
