    OCTOBER 16, 2007: EPISODE #351: OF PASTS AND AGENDAS PART 2


    AIRPLANE

    Hope and Steve are on their flight to New Orleans as Hope is telling Steve it's remarkable how quick they got a flight. Steve says they got lucky. Hope admits she still has her doubts that she is doing the right thing. Steve assures her she is and that he is right by her side. They will handle whatever comes there way together. The plane then experiences a great deal of turbulence and the pilot makes the announcement that due to some severe weather ahead, they will be making an emergency landing in Nashville. Hope asks a frustrated Steve what they are going to do now. Steve tells her they will just have to stay the night at a hotel. Hope asks if he is talking about in separate rooms. Steve nods and says of course. Hope smiles and says good.


    SALEM POLICE STATION

    Kayla is front of Abe's office having some coffee when Bo races past her. Kayla follows him into Abe's office and asks if his contacts had anything. Bo shakes his head, saying it's like Steve and Hope just vanished again. Kayla can't understand what is going on with them. Bo tells her that with Tony gone too, according to the note, it seems they got a lead on Steve's past again. Kayla worries about them being tricked or falling into a trap. Bo says he is worried too because this is the Dimera's they're talking about. He promises Kayla he will do everything he can to find them.

    Just then, Bo's cell rings. He answers it. it's Doug, who tells Bo he went by the house looking for Hope and no one was home. He asks if he knows where she is. Bo tells Doug not to worry and fills Doug in on what is going on. Doug can't understand why Hope would take off once, let alone twice. Bo says he doesn't either. Doug offers his help but Bo says he has it taken care of. He is sure Hope is fine but he just wants to find her in the event that she ends up in trouble. Doug asks Bo to keep him in the know. Bo tells him he will and then hangs up. Kayla tells Bo she has an awful feeling that Hope and Steve could be in trouble. Bo embraces her and assures her it's going to be alright.


    LOCAL NEIGHBORHOOD IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

    Tony waits on Liz's couch and looks at his watch. She then enters the front door and apologizes for having to leave. She tells Tony that Mrs. Flowers is an elderly woman who is all alone and she goes over to check on her. She tells Tony that she had a little fall but she is ok now and got checked out by a nurse that lives down the block. Tony tells Liz he would've came over to help. Liz appreciates it but says she had it taken care of. Liz tells Tony they can now get back to what they were discussing. Tony and Liz sit back down as she reminds Tony of how close she was to Daphne. Tony says he remembers what a comfort Liz was to his mother during her depression. Liz remembers how scared Daphne was of Stefano, all the way up to her life's end.

    Tony: I recall her getting stronger. She was, indeed, a very courageous women. However, she could only take so much and her depression took so much out of her. I know she was thankful for your companionship. She always said one of the best things I did was marry you.
    Liz: She helped me tremendously too. We helped each other. Remember when I shot Marie? She was right there by my side.
    Tony: Yes. Mother was very loyal. Giving...loving...I think of her everyday. She gave me so much...and I know she would've given me more.
    Liz: She loved you, Tony. Just like she loved this other child. She knew once she learned she was pregnant that she had to protect the child. Stefano had been trying to influence you since the day you were able to comprehend what he was saying. She always told me she was lucky you didn't have his blood running through your veins. That saved you from becoming the heir to his evil, she would say. This child was Stefano's, conceived from a night in which Daphne had a hard time speaking about.
    Tony: My God... don't tell me...he forced himself on her?
    Liz: No. She was embarrassed to admit she still loved him. He had treated her badly from the moment after they married and onward. Despite all the hurt, all the other women, all the lies...she still couldn't help but love him. Every once in awhile he would turn on that charm of his and sweep her off her feet. One of those nights conceived the child we are speaking of.
    Tony: So, what happened to the child?
    Liz: Well, she told me there was just man back then. He was good friends with your father, Enrico, and came to be your mother's keeper in a way after your father passed. The man's name was Paolo. Paolo hated Stefano with a passion and was only working for the Dimera's to make a decent living for his family's sake. Daphne was hiding her pregnancy from everyone until she knew what to do but Paolo learned of her condition one night when she was ill. He had offered to take her to the doctor but she told him nothing was wrong. She just was sick to her stomach. She told him about the baby and confessed her fears of what the child would end up like if Stefano was an active part of the child's life. So, Daphne ran away into hiding at Paolo's urging. The plan was to hide out and then to give up the child once it was born. She felt she had no choice. Stefano frantically searched for her and Daphne told me of the many close calls she had. She would hide out in any place she could find. Sewers, soup kitchens, even Stefano's very own tunnels and catacombs.
    Tony: Didn't that risk the child's health?
    Liz: Sure, but Daphne felt it was worth it to protect her baby from becoming the next source of Dimera evil. She was already worried about what you would become. She always felt horrible that she wasn't able to get you away from Stefano. She considered herself lucky that you turned out how you did.
    Tony: I consider myself lucky, as well.
    Liz: Anyway, she went into labor while hiding in a small village in souther Italy. She made her way to an Inn. The innkeeper called a doctor and the baby was delivered. She then told the doctor she wanted to give up the child. The doctor was confused but Daphne explained she didn't feel the child would get a proper upbringing. The doctor followed her wishes and the baby was taken away. Daphne then returned to Stefano, who was furious with her. She merely lied and said she needed to get away to relax and clear her mind. She took alot from Stefano but she accepted it. She was devastated to learn that Paolo had been killed during a fight with Stefano in her absence. He was covering for her and she felt great guilt over the situation.
    Tony: I can imagine.
    Liz: Your mother kept tabs on the child. She used a Dimera contacts that she trusted. One that had worked for Stefano but was fired due to incompetence. He would use what was at his disposal to provide Daphne with info about how the child was doing and so on. I have everything she compiled, along with proof of the child being Stefano and Daphne's. She wanted to make sure all her bases were covered. She told me about all this a short time before her death. She had hinted at it and had such a hard time opening up. She said she always sort of knew she was going to entrust me with this because I was the only friend she had and could trust to tell you and you alone. Once she knew she could trust me, she came out with it. She had a feeling her life would be cut short so she felt the need to tell me when it felt right. She needed to make sure the information would somehow be passed on to you so you could find your sibling and fight Stefano together.
    Tony: I see. I also noticed you talk of the child but don't talk of it's gender or it's name.
    Liz: Well, I guess part of me can't accept that the moment has arrived where I can finally share this secret with someone. It seems surreal that you finally made it here.
    Tony: Yes, well, I'm just glad I found the clues and completed this journey.
    Liz: Your mother knew she had to take a risk. It couldn't be easy. She needed to protect the secret so if Stefano or anyone else found the first clue in your favorite book they wouldn't know what they had come upon. She was confident that not even Stefano could figure out what was going on if he had found the first clue. She knew there was no way he would find the others. Daphne knew there was a chance of you not catching on to all this and then I would be taking this secret to my grave. Luckily, you did. You figured it all out, just like your mother thought.
    Tony: Yes, well, I know how it all happened so, now, it's time to tell me about this sibling of mine. Is it a he or she? A name...I need the rest, Liz. Time is not something to be wasted right now.
    Liz: I know. I know. I'll tell you. Just let me go get the info your mother compiled and the proof.

    Liz gets up as Tony waits anxiously to learn the rest of the answers he so desperately seeks.


    MALIBU, CALIFORNIA

    Abby tells Forrest to go ahead and begin as Dr. Dobbs watches.

    Forrest: You see, my family...we built this wall of lies around us. We had to have this perfect image and father wouldn't have it any other way. Father always thought of Lawrence as the crown prince. I was small in stature and father detested me from the moment of my arrival. His treatment of me, from what I can remember, was not like that of a Alamain. It was almost like I was some stray picked off the street. If it weren't for mother...(fights back tears) I don't know...
    Abby: It's ok, Forrest.
    Forrest: Lawrence detested me too. I was only 3 but he makes no secret of the fact that he bullied me.
    Abby: How do you know?
    Forrest: I've met with him several times. You see, it was Lawrence who encouraged father to send me away. Father wanted to send me to a school in eastern Europe where I could be properly refined. I was not an Alamain to him from birth so he had planned to mold me into one. However, he did not want to deal with the embarrassment of it all so he covered it up. They had the perfect opportunity to do so the day I fell into that pool. I didn't understand what I was doing and just fell in, I suppose. The next thing I know, I woke up in a sort of dormitory at a school, the very one I gather father wanted to send me too. I later learned from my brother that Lawrence had helped father fake my death. Mother believed it because she had seen me fall in. Father made Lawrence pull her away so he could pull me out and take me away. No one ever saw the body. I never saw...mother again (wipes tears from his eyes).
    Abby: Wow...I'm...sorry.
    Forrest: I spent 15 years of my life at that school and left at age 18. It ended up being one of the greatest times of my life. You see, I made friends with this young girl. Sylvia was her name. Luscious blond hair, eyes that I would find myself lost in everytime I looked into them...she had my heart from the minute she arrived. She had been sent there against her will as well and we bonded. We were the same age and, even at 3, we felt drawn to each other. We laughed, played...without her, my life would have been...nothing. Our friendship grew into love. After we graduated, I proposed. Unfortunately, that very day, she had reunited with her family. She had forgiven them for some reason and she just had to go with them, of course. Both our hearts were broken that day. I didn't know how I would live. She had her family but I had nothing. However, I did go in search of my family. I learned that mother had died but I couldn't find father or Lawrence. I somehow got it together after that and made a career for myself. How I had the strength to go on...but I did. This wonderful man gave me a job in his shipping organization and I worked my way up to, for all intents and purposes, running it. Then, one day, this women walks in asking for assistance in transferring some orders for her father's business. It was like walking back into the past...
    Abby: Sylvia, right?
    Forrest: Yes. We reconnected. It was like no time had passed. I met her family and they made me feel like I belonged. One thing led to another and I asked her to marry me yet again. This time was the charm (smiles). We were so happy...until my brother came back into my life.
    Abby: Just like that? After all that time?
    Forrest: Yes. See, Lawrence had people around that reported back to him. He knew everything about me. I mean, he had the Alamain name and influence. He had returned to Europe with his beloved Katerina.
    Abby: Oh yeah, my mom told me about her...wasn't her name Carly, though?
    Forrest: Yes but my brother called her his Katerina. She had lost her memory and regressed back in time to when they had fallen in love. When we first met after all those years, he smugly described the privileged life he had led. He told me how happy he was but I told him I was happy too. The life I had led did have ups and downs but I felt it could've been worse. Needless to say, Lawrence was disappointed that his words had no effect on me. He was clearly bothered by the fact that I was happy and satisfied with my life. Around this time, a man named John Black had also been claiming my identity, mostly thanks to Lawrence who planted my half of the locket and fabricated DNA results to make it appear John Black was me. He and Stefano Dimera had come to an agreement. They had been making many dealings at that time.
    Abby: Yeah. Lawrence handed over my presumed dead Uncle Steve to Stefano. The police and ISA have been looking for him but nothing.
    Forrest: Yes, well, my brother has been living in the shadows, shall we say. Lawrence just wanted to make sure I remained a distant memory, even if that meant making it appear someone else was me. Of course, we know he is Roman Brady now. Needless to say, I was upset with my brother and reminded him he couldn't erase the fact that I am an Alamain too. I had kept the name through the years, even if so many were paid to make sure no one of significance ever realized that I was the real Forrest Alamain. The tension between us was palpable. We met several times. It was clear my brother was doing it for fun and games. He just always had to try to prove he was better then me in every way. More and more he became frustrated because his efforts were futile. I was happy and planning a wedding with Sylvia. You know, I finally thought things were going to be alright in my life. For the first time...(begins to cry)

    Abby rubs his shoulder and tells him to go on.

    Forrest (tears streaming down his face): The morning of our wedding...everything was fine. I talked to Sylvia through the door of the bridal room of the small chapel we had decided to marry in. Her family left her to be alone and she...never walked down the aisle. We...waited...(wipes tears from his eyes) and...waited...and nothing. Her family went to check on her and I was so worried I had to follow, especially after hearing what sounded like screams. We all arrived outside the bridal room and saw smoke coming from it. Sylvia was screaming and we determined someone was in there with her (in tears). We heard her struggling and fighting with what clearly was a man's voice. It was muffled for sure. We tried hard to get into the room. I tried the window outside but the room was in flames. I couldn't see anything but there were wedding guests outside, who saw no one...get out. Two bodies...were found in the remains. One of a man and one of a woman, the woman being proven to be my Sylvia (breaks down in tears). My precious, Sylvia (pulls out his picture of her from his wallet). I will never find love like I had with her. Never.
    Abby: You think your brother did it?
    Forrest: The authorities never found anything, really. I suspected Lawrence. The next time I saw him...he was more smug then usual. He was also secretive. Part of me would like to think he would never go that far just to make it known to me he is superior but...he is capable. I knew back then he was and I know now he. It's all speculation. My poor, Sylvia...we were finally going to get it right (covers his face with his hands).

    Abby looks over at the picture as she rubs Forrest's back in an attempt to comfort him. This time, however, she studies the picture and realizes Sylvia bears a resemblance to her. Her face then turns to one of fear. Abby begins to back up in her wheelchair. Forrest turns around and asks what is wrong. Abby tells him to stay away from her. Forrest realizes Abby now has seen the resemblance and begs her to let him explain. Abby refuses to listen. Dr. Dobbs vouches for Forrest. Forrest admits to Abby he is working with the ISA to protect her and her family. Abby doesn't buy it and then asks Dr. Dobbs how much Forrest bought him off for. Forrest explains to Abby he brought Dr. Dobbs in to help her walk but he did use Dr. Dobbs to isolate her from Salem and her family. It was for her protection. Abby rolls her eyes and asks from what. Forrest tells her from his brother. Abby is shocked.


    MOTEL AT NASHVILLE AIRPORT

    Hope and Steve enter their room. Hope is upset they have to share a room but Steve tells her with a few flights grounded the place was bound to fill up. Hope looks around the room and wonders why they can't take the credit the airline gave them and go elsewhere. Steve says it's only good at the airport motel and advises Hope to lower her standards a bit. Hope points out that the bed shakes for a quarter. Steve laughs and puts a quarter in. He then jumps on the bed and tells her that's cool. He encourages Hope to come aboard. Hope tells him he is out of his mind. Steve then gets up and grabs her, dragging her on to the bed. They shake back and forth on the bed as Hope screams at Steve to let her and get off of her. He begins to ticker her and asks why "Ms. big bad former cop" is not capable of breaking free from his grasps. Hope warns him not to mock her. Just then, they look into each other's eyes and pause. Both Steve, who is on top of Hope, and Hope both seem lost in each other's eyes.

    The bed then stops shaking. Hope tells him she thinks they should get up now. Steve slowly gets up. Hope does so as well and, seemingly nervous, she tells Steve she could really use a shower. Steve says ok and watches her grab her bag and go into the bathroom. In the bathroom, Hope takes a deep breath and asks herself what is wrong with herself. At the same time, Steve asks himself the very same question and blames himself for making Hope uncomfortable. He tells himself he needs to keep his composure or else he will hurt her and probably even others. Plus, the trip would be a bust. Steve goes over to his bag and takes his shirt off. He looks over in the direction of the bathroom and takes a deep breath before digging through his bag for something.


    SALEM INN

    Doug sits at the bar, worried about Hope and thinking about Julie and their marriage. His frustration boils over, leading to him smashing his glass of liquor on the table. Jean comes over and sees this scene and says:

    Jean: You know, that is quite dangerous and a hazard to your health. I mean, they say drinking excessively is too but it doesn't help matters when your using your glass in such a manner.
    Doug: Excuse me?
    Jean: Sorry. It was hard to just sit back and say nothing seeing a scene like that. Seems like you have a whole bunch of problems, buddy.

    Doug looks at Jean and asks her why she feels the need to share her opinion because he certainly doesn't care to hear it. Jean is offended and tells Doug that she won't be talked to that way. She approaches him slowly and stares him down as Doug wonders what he got himself into.


    LOCAL NEIGHBORHOOD IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

    Tony looks over a folder and tells Liz he can't believe what she just told him and what he read. Liz assures him it's all true. Tony tells her he needs to get back to Salem ASAP. He tells Liz he hates to rush off and thanks her for everything. They embrace. Liz says it was her pleasure and she is so happy to have fulfilled her promise to Daphne. She wishes Tony luck. Tony wishes her luck as well and tells her not to be a stranger. Liz tells him he can come back and visit too. Tony smiles and says he will call her on that. He gives her a friendly kiss and then leaves. Liz closes the door behind him and hopes that Tony and all the rest of Stefano's victims find peace. She then looks to the heavens and tells Daphne her secret is out. Her son knows and now let the chips fall where they may. Meanwhile, Tony calls for a cab and looks at the folder Liz gave him, saying Stefano and Salem are in for quite a shock as the scene freezes on his face and then fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    FORREST PLEADS WITH ABBY TO FORGIVE HIM!!!

    OCTOBER 19, 2007-EPISODE # 354: CURVEBALL PART 2


    MAISON BLANCHE. NEW ORLEANS

    Hope and Steve continue to kiss at the door of the cabin but, when Steve places his hand on Hope’s breast, she pulls away and walks towards the fireplace. Steve walks over to her asking if she is alright, to which she shakes her head yes. She can’t even face him, finally saying that she’s sorry for what just happened. Steve tells her she has nothing to feel sorry for. If anything, he pushed himself onto her. Hope then turns and looks at him, saying that it maybe best for them to just go home and forget this whole thing ever happened, before the emotions and memories become too much. Steve agrees, saying that they both love their families way too much to do something like this. They can deal with the past when they feel better prepared to. Hope nods.

    They then quietly put their clothes back on and, after Steve puts out the fire, they both walk out into the forest and head back to the street.


    PIER

    Anna asks what Tony is talking about. What secret? He says it involves Stefano but, before he can say anything else, he stops himself as he looks at Anna, and asks where Marlena ran off to. She tells him Marlena is following Roman. Tony grabs his cell phone and tries to call Stefano but he isn’t answering. The scene then fades to..........


    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    In Victor’s surveillance room, Victor is sitting with Nico as they watch the front of Orpheus’s restaurant. From that location, Victor receives a phone call. When he answers, it’s Bo, telling him that he is in one of the limos down the street from the restaurant. Victor tells him good but also tells him to be very careful. Bo smiles, saying.........

    Bo: I will, Dad.

    Victor is quiet as Nico slowly stands up and places his hand on Victor’s shoulder. Victor shakes his head and tells him.......

    Victor: Now look, Bo. We will have one shot at this, ok?
    Bo: I know that, Victor. I just wonder what’s going on in there.
    Victor: So do I, son...........

    As the scene fades to the inside of...


    ORPHEUS' RESTAURANT

    An angry Stefano holds a defiant Orpheus at gunpoint. He reminds Orpheus that if he’s wondering why a Magnum is pointed to his head, he need not think back too far. Just remember the Brady twins and everyone else he killed or hurt. Not to mention that he put a bullet in him not too long ago. For that, it’s time he dies. Orpheus tells him that it must have been quite a long time since he’s fired a gun, seeing as he has his lackeys do his dirty work for him.

    Orpheus did what he had to do. He started getting rid of everyone who stood in his way. Stefano says to what? Orpheus then grows silent and then he speaks up, saying he and the rest of Salem will see. As the scene turns back to a surprised Stefano, it then dissolves onto the top of a building across the street as Roman lays down on the blacktop and points a rifle at the entrance of the restaurant. What he doesn’t see is Marlena walking up the street. Bo sees her and calls Victor back, telling him that they have to hold off.

    Marlena follows one of Orpheus’s men behind the restaurant. She ducks behind crates and boxes as the man walks forward but stops when Tony calls her cell phone. Marlena gets very upset telling Tony..........

    Marlena: Dammit! Why are you calling me?
    Tony: I have to tell you what I found out before you get yourself killed.
    Marlena: How do you know what I’m doing?
    Tony: Anna told me.
    Marlena: Never could keep her damn mouth shut.
    Tony: Marlena, do you want to hear this or not?! It will destroy Stefano.
    Marlena: Then by all means, go ahead.

    Tony tells her his news and Marlena’s eyes grow wide. She tells Tony that he is certainly right.........this will destroy him. She then says she has to go..........one of Orpheus’s men is coming back her way. Before Tony can tell her to get out of there, she hangs up, and kneels down further into the darkness. As the man walks by, Marlena stands up holding a 2 x 4 and hits him hard on his head, sending him crashing to the pavement unconscious. She then looks around and starts taking off his clothes so she can put them on.

    Bo gets out of the limo after it drives down the street and he instructs the driver to circle the block until he comes back. As Bo jumps out, he walks down the alleyway, looking for Marlena. A man walks past him and he hides his face as he walks past. After the man leaves, Bo continues to head down the alleyway, looking for Marlena. But, he stops, turns around and looks back down the deserted alleyway. He then sprints to the street, where the man that just past him is nowhere in sight. He then calls Victor, saying that Marlena just gave him the slip and he doesn’t know where she is.

    Victor smiles, saying........

    Victor: I have always admired her resourcefulness.

    He then orders Bo to find her and says he will radio Roman and tell him that there is a complication. As Bo takes off, Victor tells Nico to get in touch with Roman. But, on top of the building, Roman has turned off his radio and leans back down to look through the lens towards the restaurant. As Nico turns and tells a concerned Victor that Roman isn’t answering, Marlena looks up and sees Roman on top of the building.

    She starts to run across the street so she can get into the building but when she opens the door.........a guard is standing there. He asks her what she’s doing there and Marlena lies, saying she needs to use the bathroom. The guard doesn’t believe her, saying that there is one across the street. Another man comes in and asks who this is. The second man takes a good look at her and tells the first guard that it is Roman Brady’s wife. They need to get her over to Stefano. Now.

    The two guards take Marlena by either arm and drag her across the street. Bo sees this as they bring her out and runs over to them, jumping on one of the guards and knocking him to the ground. The other guard then turns and pulls a gun on Bo, who can’t reach his weapon in time. Just then, Bo’s men come running and pointing guns at Stefano’s men as one of them states that if anyone tries to get at Mrs. Brady, there will be a lot of blood running in the streets. Bo stands pat as the men take Marlena towards the restaurant and, as Victor and Nico watch from the mansion, Bo gives his men the order to stay on guard.......but not to fire.

    Roman fixes his sight on Marlena, not knowing it’s her under disguise. Before he can pull the trigger, she disappears into the restaurant.



    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    Victor orders Nico to tell Bo to pull their men back........for right now. As Nico calls Bo, Bo answers his phone. After a few moments, Bo hangs up, as he turns and looks at his men. Bo’s limousine pulls up as he silently gives the order for his men to stand down. Bo then gets in the limo and drives slowly away as his men disappear into the night.


    PIER

    Anna asks if Tony is going to tell Stefano. Tony smiles, saying it would give him no greater pleasure. Tony explains if not him, Marlena will, and he will just have to settle for providing the details. Either way, Stefano will feel unspeakable pain. However, Tony is worried Marlena may get caught in some sort of crossfire. Anna then says they have to find Marlena and help her. Tony grabs her by the arm, asking if anything has changed between them. Anna is silent and says there is no time for that as she shakes free and runs off, with a smiling Tony closely behind.


    ORPHEUS' RESTAURANT

    On The rooftop across from Orpheus' restaurant, Roman is angry that his one shot to end this war has slipped through his fingers as he turns his radio back on and checks in with Victor. Victor informs him that Stefano has Marlena in the restaurant and Roman demands to know why they didn’t stop her. Victor asks if Roman saw the 30 or so men who had guns pointed at one another. Roman says no. He was trained on the front door. Then, Victor says, remember that the next time he starts spouting off. Roman says that’s all well and good but Marlena is in danger.

    Victor says for Roman to tell him something he didn’t know as the scene fades into the restaurant, as Marlena is brought before Stefano and Orpheus.

    Stefano averts his gaze as he sees Marlena being brought in. He walks over to her as Orpheus stands and asks what is the meaning of this crude interruption. His man tells him that they found her trying to cross the street for some reason. Stefano looks at her, walks over to her, and says.........

    Stefano: So..........the lovely Marlena. Once again, you get involved in things that are NOT of your concern. Just like that blasted husband of yours.
    Marlena: Well, I’ll take that as a compliment, Stefano. He was always the better man.
    Stefano: More insults.
    Marlena: The truth, as I see it.
    Stefano: Very well. Have it your way, my precious flower. One day...........we WILL be together. That I can assure you.
    Marlena: I’d rather sleep with a carnival geek than to let you touch me.
    Stefano: SILENCE! (Looking at his men) Take Mrs. Brady away. I’ll deal with her later.

    As Marlena is being led back outside once again, Stefano turns his attention back to Orpheus, who says to him........

    Orpheus: My, my. Can’t keep your women in check, I see.
    Stefano: Still with the smart mouth. Well.........that is about to be fixed...........permanently.

    As Stefano raises the gun towards Orpheus, Marlena is being dragged to a waiting limousine. As she struggles, she looks up towards the rooftop and the scene zooms in on a determined Roman, as he once again aims the gun towards the door. Marlena kicks one guard in the shin and pushes the other guard away as she runs toward the restaurant, determined to stop Roman........

    Stefano points his gun at Orpheus and starts to squeeze the trigger. Marlena comes bursting in. Everyone points their weapons at her as two guards grab her. Stefano does not advert his gaze from Orpheus this time and asks what is Marlena’s game this time? She says she’s learned a secret he must know. Stefano smiles, saying that he knows all. There is no secret that would shock him and that’s when Marlena blurts out.........

    Marlena: Then how about the fact.............that you have a gun pointed at...........

    YOUR VERY OWN SON?! BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW THAT!!!! DID YOU STEFANO?!?

    Stefano stares at Orpheus, who stumbles backwards in shock and collapses in a chair as the scene splits in two once again, as Stefano and Orpheus, Father and Son, stare at each other in shock.........

    And the scene freeze frames...........and then suddenly goes black!

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    EP/HW'S TIM LOWERY (PHOENIX) AND PATRICK L. EWING (ROMAN) PART WAYS

    As our fans know, the past few weeks have been difficult for the blog. I, Tim Lowery, have not been around as much as I normally am due to personal reasons. I hate that the blog has suffered but, most of all, I hate that my friendship and partnership with my partner has suffered. Sometimes life presents you with many challenges at once and it can take alot of time and energy to work through those challenges. That is what is happening right now. There has been a great amount of thinking on my part over the past few weeks about the future of this blog. I have tried numerous times to devote the proper attention needed but it's difficult because I find myself very much behind on planning and when you are part of a partnership it makes it even more difficult because you have to be able to communicate and send things and so on. Ultimately, I just don't have the time for the blog as it is and that pains me to no end. I love writing and I loved working with my partner. I just started seeing the writing on the wall and it was doing neither of us any good.

    Another part of my decision-making was that it just wasn't fun anymore. When I started this, my second blog, I was inspired and had so many ideas. Then, this remarkable creative mind began reading and commenting and he soon began sending me story ideas and a partnership grew out of that. More importantly, a friendship grew out of that and that is more important to me then the blog or anything to do with it. My hope is that Roman and I can remain friends despite how things have ended up at this moment. The bottom line and, really, neither one of us is to blame, is that the fun was gone. I started feeling disinterested and at times felt like I didn't know whether I liked what was going on or what was there. Alot has to do with personal reasons but I think alot is due to change being needed. This may come off selfish but I just think I need to start doing things for me. So much of my life right now is taking care of family and dealing with work and such. I just feel it's time for me to relax and to just do things to enjoy myself. That doesn't happen much when you leave the house at 6-6:30AM and don't get home until around 9PM. Other then getting online during the workday, everything else is constant work and stress. We all need a a little escape and I just wasn't getting that.

    I always said when I felt like I was doing a chore or a job, that it was time to end things and it got to that point. I would say I have to do an episode and that is not what I want. Part of the reason I tried to make a go of it was for Roman and for our fans. I hate that it just couldn't come together. As for what happens to the blog, right now I don't know. I don't have the time or energy but I may maintain it on a more different schedule or find some way to cut things down. I have to think and see what happens. I would love to continue writing for the fans but it has to be just for fun and I have to feel a certain freedom. I have to be inspired so I have to think about it and consider everything in my life right now. Whatever happens, I will update the fans through here.

    Now, to the fans, your support and loyalty was tremendous. Without you, Salem Lives would never have become what it is and you all pushed us to strive for greatness. We can't possibly thank you enough.

    Lastly, to my partner and someone I consider one of my best friends, Roman, I know things aren't good right now but I hope, if nothing else, the friendship we built over this past year or so does not just go away. That is of great importance to me. Through all the disagreements and through good times and bad, your support and help was truly touching. You are a gifted mind and a gifted soul. Truly talented and don't ever doubt an ounce of that talent. Your writing is something that should be appreciated and I hope you continue on with it in some way. Thank you for one of the best times of my life and I am so sorry it had to end like this. God Bless and I wish you all the best! Hope to talk to you soon!

    9 HUGE STARS OUT!!! MORE TO COME!!!! WHEN WILL IT ALL END?!!!!

    Days fans were told that this week would be shocking as the show returned from hiatus. They were also told that massive cast cuts were coming. James Reynolds (Abe Carver) and Matt Ashford (Jack Deveraux) were first (and to a lesser extend Brock Pierce's Josh was let go). Wayne Northup is out to as his character, Alex North/Stefano Dimera, was killed in May as well. Fans were told the week of June 12 would change the show forever and it has. Nine actors were killed off in a plane explosion set by beloved and now maniac character Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall), who revealed she was also responsible for the demise of Abe Carver and Stefano Dimera as well. This has many wondering if Hall is out too since her contract is up this summer. The show will not comment on this or anything else story-wise. However, these departures are confirmed as these actors last aired on June 12:




    Bo Brady (Peter Reckell): No doubt the most shocking exit. This was the exit being referred to as "shocking" in the rumor mill. This exit has stunned the soap world as Bo was one of the most recognizable characters on Days. Insiders speculate that the show felt it was time for Bo to exit at this point. The actor himself was "stunned" by the news.



    Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow): Another exit that shocked the masses. Some show reps say "the character had been played out" and that the character of Kate had served it's purpose. The actress was also surprised by the news.



    Carrie Brady (Christie Clark): Another surprise since the character had major story possibilities and just returned. Carrie had just learned she was pregnant and did not know who the father was. She and her sister, Sami, were also being stalked. Insiders can't understand this axing and wonder if the show just scrapped her story all together and decided to cut their losses.



    Austin Reed (Austin Peck): The second time the actor was fired and this was shocking as well given the front burner story he was involved in (see above).



    Lucas Roberts (Bryan Dattilo): This came as a surprise again considering the story he was involved in (see above) and the fact that he is a Horton. Rumor has it the show is phasing out the Roberts/Reeds and that is the reason why the characters of Austin, Lucas, Billie, Kate, and possibly Philip (portrayer Kyle Brandt announced in April he was leaving but had extended his contract short term) have been written out.



    Billie Reed (Julie Pinson): Pinson took over the role in 2004 and her departure is not that shocking as the character was not a favorite with a good deal of fans. For reasons behind her exit, see the details on Bryan Dattilo's exit.



    Roman Brady (Josh Taylor): This exit was not too surprising considering Taylor never took off as a recast of the popular character and has had not story in awhile. This exit appears to be story-dictated.



    Shawn and Mimi Brady (Jason Cook and Farah Fath): These two exits were very shocking given they are part of the young generation in Salem and are in a front burner story right now. It appears the show is cutting cast and age is no part of the equation as the new HW wants to focus on a smaller cast and bring some former faves back. The issue of Shawn's daughter, Claire's, paternity will still come out but the show will do it without these two pivotal players.

    Insiders say the exits won't stop there. Expect two more characters to die on tomarrow's show (June 14) and two more to die June 16. Another will be killed off screen next week and as many as four others will also be killed off next week. Expect to hear the news that many former faves are returning in addition to those already returned and next week summer previews and a list of who is definitely staying will be released. The show hopes fans will stick it out-there is a great reward ahead. Since this story is clearly revisiting the SSK/Captive Island story, will there be another ruse with everyone being alive. Insiders say not this time-but there are a good deal of surprises ahead. RED HOT SUMMER DAYS IS HERE!!!

    -Lucas worries about Carrie being out in the jungle. Alice, Mickey, Doug, Julie, Caroline, Shawn Sr, and Kate reassure them that it will be fine. They are shocked when Roman and Austin return empty handed. Roman explains how the guards found them and brought them back. Lucas is worried about the baby. Austin nearly spills the beans about his tryst with Carrie and how her baby could be his.
    -Shawn and Mimi discuss Philip. They assume he is on the island too but have yet to see him. Kate overhears and she beleives he is on the island but is being held hostage. He may be with Cassie. Shawn admits he is stunned that whoever is behind this would even go to such lengths as bring Cassie there too. Mimi is reminded of Rex and thinks about him. Bo, Abe and Billie tell Kate that they will find Philip. Roman reassures her as well. Bo thinks about Hope and is worried about her. Jennifer and Billie assure him that Hope is fine. Shawn lashes out at Bo and claims his father doesn't give a damn and has shown it by supporting Chelsea for months. Bo says they need to put their differences aside and fight to get off the island. They will work through this when they get home. Shawn walks away in rage as Billie and Jennifer remind Bo that he is just protecting his mother and that once she forgives him he will too.
    -Frankie and Jack find it ironic how they all ended up beleived dead on an island like he was. Frankie tells Jack that he will keep his promise and step aside to let him be with Jennifer. Abby overhears and thanks Frankie. Jack doesn't think it is that easy as Jennifer fell in love with Frankie. Jennifer overhears and agrees saying she loves both of them but Jack is her husband. Abby is happy her mother has chosen Jack and leaves to talk to Max. When Abby leaves, Jennifer tells both Frankie and Jack that she is confused and still doesn't know who to be with.
    -Caroline leaves Shawn Sr's side and goes to get a drink. She sees a bottle of Chardonay and speaks of a special night that should have never happened. She tells herself that no one can ever know the truth and vows to make sure no one does. Shawn Sr asks her if something is wrong. She lies and says no and they go over to the others.
    -Max and Abby talk about everything going on. Abby tells Max that her mother has chosen her father. Max tells Abby not to count Frankie out yet. There is obvious tension but Max tells Abby they should just not talk about it and let Jack, Jennifer, and Frankie get through it. Abby tells Max she would have never made it through Josh's death and all this without him. She reminds Max that he saved her life back at the wedding when the car her dad was driving hit her. Max says it was nothing but Abby thanks him and hugs him saying he is a great guy and that Chelsea didn't know how good she had it. They wonder what is going on with Chelsea back at home.
    -Hope tries to help Chelsea. She has torn a piece of her jacket to use as wash cloth and is dipping the cloth in a small stream to try to cool Chelsea's fever. She starts to say that the Bensons and her mom and dad are calling to her from heaven. Hope tells her not to give up. Chelsea again says she has nothing to live for. She has lost everything-her adoptive parents, her real parents, a good part of her real family, Abby, Max, her virginity-she has nothing to live for. Hope asks her what she means by virginity-she beleived that Chelsea had not slept with anyone. Chelsea then admits she was raped and says that she watched Abby's boyfriend, Josh, got killed when they accidentally interupted a drug operation. She then begins to feel pains in her leg and passes out. Hope begs her to wake up. While unconscious. Chelsea has a dream about the night of Josh's death and her rape and begins to cry out in her sleep for help and for her parents. Hope holds her and says she is here. Chelsea's eyes open and she beleives Hope is Billie and she smiles and says "mom." She apologizes for all the horrible things she did and says she is happy she got her miracle and her mother has come back to her. Hope begins to cry and thinks about Zach. She realizes maybe she was wrong about Chelsea and that all she is is a girl wanting to be loved and who has lost so much. Hope holds her and rocks her back and forth.
    -Victor tries to help Maggie who is feverish. The cut on her arm is starting to appear infected and she is still losing blood. Victor begs her to hold on. Maggie dreams about Mickey calling to her in heaven with Tom, Alice, and all her deceased loved ones. Victor begs her to come back. Maggie wakes up but is delusional and belives Victor is Mickey. She reaches out and kisses him. Victor is stunned and so is Maggie when she realizes Victor is not Mickey. She apologizes and asks Victor what is wrong with her. Victor tells her that her cut is infected and she is losing blood. Maggie asks if Victor thinks she is dying. Victor looks at her and vows to save her-he will not let her die that easy. Maggie thanks him as Victor begs her to fight this and tries to figure out what he can do.
    -Sami and Lexie are still in the cave. They discuss the past and their blackmail of each other. Lexie recites all the sins of Sami's past and Sami does the same to Lexie. Lexie says she has always been a hateful bitch and always will be. Sami says the same about her:

    Sami: Well, at least I am not an adultress.
    Lexie: I make mistakes Sami that I am not proud of but I own up to them and grow from them. All you do is repeat them over and over again.
    Sami: I can't help it, Ok.
    Lexie: Aww, here comes the poor Sami routine. Cry me a river.
    Sami: Lexie I have been through hell. I didn't have my parents growing up and was raised by John.
    Lexie: You were lucky Sami. John is a wonderful father and you know that he loves you and Eric.
    Sami: Yeah and I loved him too until I caught him and my mother getting it on behind my father's back.
    Lexie: Sami, people make mistakes. Your mother and John share a great love.
    Sami: Yeah, look where it has gotten her. Kidnapped, brainwashed-the list goes on. Now she snapped and it's all because of him.
    Lexie: Do you listen to yourself? How is this John's fault? If anything, it is my family's for putting her through hell.
    Sami: Well, your right Lexie. You keep saying how hateful I am but, if you think about it, your family made me who I am. If it weren't for your father keeping my mother and father away, I would have never grew up without my parents. John would have never fell in love with my mom and I would have never had bulimia. Everything stems from that Lexie. I honestly think people forget the hell I have been through. Rape, my eating disorder, everything with my parents and John, countless wedding disasters that were my fault but still horrible, losing my son for years, nearly dying for a crime I did not commit-I am surprised I am not in the cuckoo's nest by now.
    Lexie: Quit making excuses Sami and just take responsibility for your actions.
    Sami: Yes Lexie the lies and deceit are my fault but the only reason I turned to them was because I had lost so much in my life when I was a good little girl. I was always trying to be good but Carrie always got the attention. Everything I did never lived up to her. I never even had Eric with me to get me through my rape and eating disorder. My brother was the one person who acted like he gave a damn (as she tearfully confesses) and he was out of my life for years while I was in hell. Carrie had Austin and my parents put her on a pedestal and they still do just like everyone does to Belle too. I make mistakes but it was everyone else who made me this way. Let me ask you Lexie-if Theo was older and he had caught you with Tek and then had been through things like I have-how do you think he would turn out?

    Lexie then has a dream of Theo turning into a rage-driven, evil young man after catching his mother cheating on Abe.

    Lexie: It doesn't matter Sami-Abe is gone and I am certain of that even with an empty casket.
    Sami: I am just trying to get you to understand Lexie. I know I have screwed up alot but I can't help it. My life has been nothing but one bad thing after the other and, even when I am good, I lose everything. I was good when I was with Lucas and Kate framed me and I was left alone to deal with it. No one beleived me and the great John Black even turned his back on me, as did Princess Belle. Do you see what I have to deal with?

    Lexie looks at Sami as tears well up in her eyes.

    Lexie: I understand.
    Sami: What?
    Lexie: I guess so much has happened between you and me with Brandon, Tek, and everything else that I just let my hatred of you overcome compassion for another human being. I guess hearing everything you have been through laid out helps me understand and then just thinking about what would have happened if Theo was older and had found out something like that. I can see why you went down this path Sami and why it has been so hard for you change. My family really is to blame. They started a chain of events that made yoir life spin out of control.
    Sami: Are you joking? You really understand. I mean, you are on my side with this.
    Lexie: You do need to take on most of the responsibility Sami because you have destroyed lives but I guess I understand your motivation for doing some of the things you do and for continuing to do them. Have you ever sat down with your family and told them this?
    Sami: I have doen everything but spell it out. They always say I am wrong or overreacting or something. Don't you remember my long speech at Lucas and my wedding about this? They may love me but their actions don't show it like they do for Carrie and Belle. I mean, look, when my mother had amnesia she never even looked at me or paid any attention to me. She did for Belle.
    Lexie: Well, why didn't you just approach her?
    Sami: Because she had amnesia. The last thing I wanted to do was just call or show up and frighten her by being this stranger up in her face calling her "mom." Things like that-that is why I have never been able to become the person everyone wants me to be and, just when I succeeded because of Lucas, Kate set things in motion and everyone just abandoned me and I was back at it again.

    Sami turns away in tears.

    Sami: Sometimes I cry at night and wonder when I will ever have my dream come true. When will I have the dream I had as a little girl where I sat at the table with my family and we were all happy? I never got to have the happy life kids have growing up. I came back to Salem and went through hell while other girls my age were meeting boys and taking them home to mom and dad. All I want is a man to love me and for my family to be happy but that is nothing more then a pipe dream. My family is a mess and I will end up alone because God knows my secret will come out even if you don't tell. God, my life is such a joke!! (Sami sits down and cries) When am I finally going to get happiness? When are people ever going to understand me and love me? (continues to cry)
    Lexie: (walks over and sits down and embraces her) I understand Sami. Finally, I understand. I just think I needed to listen and let the hate and ill feelings go.
    Sami: (looking at her) You really mean this?
    Lexie: Yes, I do. It took me awhile and I get it. It's just too bad others haven't. Maybe someone could have helped you.
    Sami: Well it is too late for that. My life is already screwed up.
    Lexie: It is never too late. Things can still change.
    Sami: Yeah right. How?
    Lexie: Maybe I can help. If I can just see the side of you I just saw, then maybe others can too. If they just listen like you forced me to just do, maybe things will change. Maybe they will understand. After all, a few minutes ago I hated you and now.
    Sami: Now what?
    Lexie: Now I see what you want people to see and I understand.

    Sami gets up and walks off.

    Sami: I don't understand what you think can be done.

    Sami then leans on a the cave wall and fall through a door of some kind. The door then closes behind the cave wall. Lexie runs over.

    Lexie: Sami! Sami!

    Sami is on the other side of the wall and is banging on the wall to try to get out. It doesn't budge and she looks around and sees a staircase in front of her. She grabs a lighted torch and makes her way down to see if she can find a way out as the screen fades to black.

    GARBER JOINS SALEM LIVES!!!



    After a extensive casting search, the role of Cal's aka faux Roman's (Josh Taylor) psychiatrist has finally been cast with popular actress Terri Garber winning the role. It is reported Garber beat out the likes of Famke Janssen, Leigh Taylor Young, Anna Stuart, Philiece Sampler, and Sally Field. "It was a very tough casting decision but we feel we made the right choice as to who we want to play the role," says HW/EP Tim Lowery. "Ms. Garber is an actress of tremendous talent and it is joy to have her bring our writing to life. The fans opinions weighed heavily along with ours and Terri is who we came up with so I think we will be very successful with her in the role." Garber has appeared in numerous TV series and films including North and South, ATWT, and Dynasty. Garber will debut in mid November. Sources say that her character, DR. Katherine C. Harcourt, is very career-driven and focused and has never found love in her lifetime. She tends to keep her feelings bottled up and underneath the surface and, among those feelings, are feelings of regret and loneliness. It seems more will be going on between Cal and Dr. Harcourt then the usual doctor/patient relationship.

    In other news, look for some of the actresses that lost out on this role to be considered for another new role that is coming up early next year. Sources say one of the actresses listed above already has the inside track and is a heavy favorite for the role but there has been no official comment on the role or the actress at the moment.

    -Arriving back at the Horton home are Alice, Doug, and Julie. They walk in with Doug holding up a still-distraught Maggie. Once they make it to the staircase, Maggie somberly tells the group that she would like to be alone. After a moment of silence, Julie asks her if she needs any help up the stairs but Maggie silently shakes her head no. She then slowly walks upstairs, using whatever strength she has left to climb up each step one by one.

    After the group finishes watching Maggie make it upstairs and disappearing into a bedroom, all three then go into the living room. Doug walks over to the big window after placing his coat on the couch and looks out quietly. Julie looks at him with a sad expression and starts over to him but then stops, remembering what he said to her earlier. She then quietly walks around the couch and sits down next to Alice.

    Alice looks at both of them disgusted and remarks:

    Alice: You know, do you two know how silly you look being mad at each other?

    Doug slowly turns around to look at Alice and then looks down at Julie. Julie is being stubborn but, feeling Doug’s eyes on her, turns her head slowly and looks at him briefly before jerking her head back and staring straight ahead.

    Alice sighs deeply and then continues:

    Alice: A shame, really. It’s amazing. You both act like this is the first time you have fought or have ever said something unkind to each other.

    They both then burst out yelling, trying to get a word in edgewise before Alice shuts it down:

    Alice: Be quiet, both of you! This is my house and my husband’s house and you will not speak to each other in that manner again, understood?

    Julie looks like a scolded child and looks at her grandmother out of the corner of her eyes before answering:

    Julie: Yes, Grandma. Understood.
    Alice: Doug?
    Doug: Yes, ma’am. I’m sorry for raising my voice.
    Alice: Now, that’s much better. Well, since you have now remembered to have respect for your elders, can you remember to still have respect for one another?

    They both look at each other once again as Julie then turns away and looks down into her lap. Doug looks down at the floor and both can’t bring themselves to admit how ashamed they are for the things they said to one another. Alice speaks up once again, telling the both of them:

    Alice: Are you two going to throw all those years of marriage down the drain because of one disagreement? If you are, then do me a favor. Take me upstairs so I don’t have to witness it or go someplace else to do it. But if it does happen, that would tell me that your marriage was never that strong to begin with.

    Julie raises her head slowly and then looks at Doug once again. Doug looks right into Julie’s eyes and then takes one step forward and stops. Julie stands up, smiles at Doug ever so slightly, and takes one step towards him. Alice looks on smiling as they both then walk towards each other and Julie starts crying as they both reach out and pull one another into a very loving embrace.

    Julie pulls back and then looks at Doug lovingly while Doug, the gentleman that he is, takes a handkerchief from his jacket pocket and softly dries her eyes, smiling at her the whole time. Doug then puts his handkerchief away, kisses Julie gently on her lips, and softly says:

    Doug: You know, here’s a thought. Why don’t we......(Looking at The ceiling, then back at Julie)agree to disagree about Victor. What do ya say ?
    Julie: I say.......(Looking lovingly into his eyes) that’s another fine idea you have there. And, let me add to it.
    Doug: Ok. Shoot.
    Julie: Let’s never.....ever.....say anything like we said earlier today again. And.........(Resting her head on his chest) let’s never go this long being mad at each other. Ok?
    Doug: (Lifting up her face by her chin) You bet, pretty lady. I love you so very much.
    Julie: I love you too, honey. Never forget that.

    The couple then hold each other and slowly rock back and forth as Alice looks on, commenting:

    Alice: Well......another marriage saved. I guess I’ve still got it.

    The camera then slowly pans up through the ceiling.....and into the bedroom where Maggie is. She is sitting near the window, looking out into the night skyline. The camera then goes to a still overhead shot as we see Maggie walk around her bedroom, lay on her bed, cry deeply near the window, all the while blaming herself for first Mickey’s death, then Victor’s. She blames herself for showing up at the warehouse unannounced, and says:

    Maggie: This is all my damn fault. (Wiping away her tears) He told me not to get involved. But, did I listen? No. Mickey always said I was too damn hardheaded and stubborn. Wonder if he was right? Now.....another man that I cared about is gone and it’s all because of me. (Crying once again) Why do I keep hurting the men in my life? (Looking out the window into the night once again) Oh, Mickey. I wish you were here to be by my side. I miss you so much. (Crying heavier) Why did you have to leave me? I’m so alone, Mickey. So damn alone.

    Maggie then rests her head into her arms and cries uncontrollably for a few moments. Then, slowly, she lifts her head up and starts cleaning herself up. She realizes that, even though she wants a drink desperately right now, that it would not be the wisest move on her part and would be the wrong way to handle this stage of her life. She walks over to her closet and looks into it, picking out some clothes. She puts on something warm and then slowly creeps down the stairs. While she hears Doug, Julie & Alice talking, she walks quietly down the hallway, through the kitchen, and out the backdoor for some air on this cold winter night.

    -On the other side of Salem, at the Cheating Heart, a very sexy lady, clad in a black see-through halter top with a matching black bra and skin tight black leather pants comes stalking slowly into the bar. She causes quite the stir as male customers hoop, cheer and whistle at this gorgeous street woman. She walks over to the bartender and sternly says:

    Marlena: Hit me and keep ‘em coming.

    She smiles at the bartender, who fills her order, all the while looking down her at her ample cleavage. Marlena gets another shot as men start walking over to her. She turns slowly around to see the audience she has and remarks:

    Marlena: Boys, boys. Careful now. There is more than enough of me to go around.

    The boys cheer out loud, especially when she places her hand on her stomach and slowly reaches down between her legs, gently caressing her crotch before she returns her hand to her mid-section. She coyly bites her finger and smiles broadly as the men cheer once again. She then walks past the men, touching their cheeks as she goes over to the pool tables, and asks:

    Marlena: Who wants to get their ass kicked in some stick action?

    Every guy in the bar raises his hand, begging to be that man. Marlena chooses a lucky guy. He stands 6'1" and seems to be quite happy that she has picked him over everyone else. She takes the pool cube and breaks and everyone is standing by, watching the action.

    -Meanwhile, back at University Hospital, Shane has met with Roman and told him that he has called everyone over to meet him. Roman thanks Shane and then tells him that he prays everyone will understand what he and Bo had to do to bring peace to Salem. Shane hopes for the same thing. He also tells Roman to be prepared for the anger that will eventually come from his family. Roman agrees, saying that he didn’t mean to hurt anyone.

    As Nicole, Eric, Sami, Belle, Caroline, Max, Frankie, Hope, Abe, Kayla, & Kimberly slowly arrive in Roman’s room, they all see that he is in fine health. When everyone breaks out in tearful applause, Roman yells to everyone that this is not what it seems. As everyone looks at each other and then at him for an explanation, he takes a deep breath and looks at Shane before he begins:

    Roman: I first want to say how sorry I am for putting you through all of this. It was not my intension. All I wanted is what I’ve always wanted....for my family to be safe. And.....what I felt we had to do was part of that, you see. I also didn’t want Bo to get arrested for something he didn’t do.
    Sami: Daddy, I don’t understand. You were shot......and all of us thought you weren’t going to make it.
    Roman: I know, baby. That’s......what......we wanted you to think. That’s what we wanted all of you to think.
    Belle: We? Whose this “we” you keep referring to?
    Roman: (Looking nervous) Myself, Shane........and Bo.
    Caroline: Bo? What does Bo have to do with this?

    Roman looks at Shane, who shakes his head in approval. He continues:

    Roman: Well, Ma, everyone.......I don’t even know how to say this.......this has been.....and I.S.A. operation.
    Sami: What? What are you saying?!
    Roman: That Bo.....went undercover into Victor’s family to get the goods on him. To finally bring that man to justice. By doing this, we also hoped to draw out Stefano and Ernesto while using the resources Victor has access to in hopes of bringing them down as well.
    Frankie: So......what you’re saying, is that.....this whole damn thing.......
    Roman: Right, Frankie. Bo turning his back on the family.......my shooting......everything.........was an inside job, thought up by the three of us.

    The family looks at Roman and some of them grow very angry. Caroline starts in on him, saying:

    Caroline: Do you know what you put me through?! What you two put this family through?! What in the hell is wrong with you two?!?! If I had a belt right now..........
    Kayla: Now, Ma. Don’t be mad at them. I knew as well.
    Caroline: What is wrong with you damn kids?! Have you all lost you minds?!
    Frankie: I think so, Ma. You know, you three need your heads examined for what you did to all of us.
    Hope: I can’t believe this. Congratulations, fellas. You sure played me for a fool.
    Belle: Shame on all three of you for what you’ve done.

    The family is stunned.

    Hope: You knew, Kayla?! Do you know what I’ve been going through with your brother and all the while you knew this was some damn mission?! (Walking up to her) You know, I ought to......
    Max: Now....let’s calm down, everyone.
    Belle: Calm down?! My father and uncles have been lying to all of us for months. Daddy, how.....how could you be so cruel?
    Roman: Baby, I’m sorry. Really, I am. If it makes it any easier....this isn’t the first time I’ve been in an operation like this, ok?
    Sami: No, Daddy. It’s not ok. (Crying in anger) As much as I love you, this was wrong. You have rightfully been preaching to me for years about telling the truth and the first chance you get, you keep all of us in the dark? Mom would have your head for this....even if she is acting strange right now.
    Caroline: By the way......where is she?
    Belle: Who knows. (Looking at Sami) Who knows what she’s up to these days?
    Eric: Well, Dad...........spill it. Let us know what’s been happening.
    Abe: Yes, Roman. Please tell me a decent explanation before I strip you of your badge.
    Roman: Ok. Here it goes.

    Roman then proceeds to tell everyone about how he went to Bo and Shane and set up everything from Bo infiltrating Victor’s crime family to Roman’s shooting. He tells them that there were scwibs under his clothing that he activated when he was “shot” on New Year’s Eve. He tells them that they got Kayla to work with them by saying that he was under an infection risk and that’s why he couldn’t be seen. He wants Victor and Stefano to finally see the inside of a jailcell for everything they’ve done from the island tragedies to this mafia war. He tells them that Bo wanted to be in on it and that they both decided not to tell anyone because, if the family knew, everyone could be in danger. Caroline asks why they chose to go after Victor way back in the Fall when the mafia war hadn't started and Victor really hadn't done anything yet.

    Roman explains that Bo, Shane, and him were sick of Salem being overrun by criminal masterminds. They all understood that action needed to be taken, especially after what happened on the Island. Victor had a role in why the island tragedies happened due to his Ernesto connection and he had manipulated Belle, Shawn, Claire, and Philip's lives even though Philip ended up being Claire's father. Bo was reluctant at first as Victor had turned his life around in the last few years but he was still underhanded and shady. He is a part of the very threat they want to wipe out of Salem. That is why they formulated this plan.

    He also tells them about the Mysterious Cloaked Figure and what this person has been responsible for, including the bombing of Samantha’s apartment. They also are working on finding out what exactly the MCF did at the New Year's Ball. They see this figure as a major threat right now, maybe moreso then Stefano and Victor. He then hopes and prays that:

    Roman: You will find in your hearts one day to forgive me.

    Roman looks at his family, who now stands before him silently. Sami is the first one to speak, walking up to him and saying:

    Sami: You know, the old me would have slapped the taste out of your mouth and told you to go to hell for what you and Uncle Bo did........
    Roman: And now? Look. I want you to understand something. Stefano, Victor & Ernesto have had free reign over Salem and it's people for far too long. It is time that it ends. On top of the fact........if Victor finds out what’s been going on, Bo may be a dead man.

    Sami stares at Roman, then takes one step forward......before hugging her father. She then says to him:

    Sami: Well, it doesn’t mean I’m not absolutely pissed off at you right now.....but, your heart was in the right place.
    Hope: Well, Sami may be a lot more forgiving than I am but Roman.....you disgust me. Your brother is lying in a hospital bed and it may be because of this garbage you’ve gotten him involved in. If he doesn’t make it.......I will hold you personally responsible. You got that?!

    Hope then storms out as the family watches her leave. Caroline just stares at Roman and Shane, shakes her head, and leaves as well. Nicole takes Eric by her arm and walks out, as Roman notices his family not saying a word to him. As the rest of the family leaves, he turns to Shane and says:

    Roman: Well, that went well. Now, the majority of my family hates me.
    Shane: No they don’t. They’re just mad right now. Give it time, my friend.

    -In the backyard of the Horton House, Maggie walks over and sits on a swing. As she swings slowly back and forth, looking down at her hands and then up to the sky, she feels a presence near her. Maggie gets very frightened and looks around at who it may be. She slowly stands and gets ready to make a break for the backdoor but is grabbed from behind by two powerful hands. One hand goes over her mouth and the other holds her in place.

    Maggie fights and tries to scream out to alert someone inside that she is being attacked. She then bites the finger of the person holding her, stumbles forward, and reaches down to the ground, picking up a huge tree limb. When she turns to face her attacker.............

    She is shocked to see who it is. She raises her hand up to her mouth to stop the gasp she was going to let out and slowly falls into unconsciousness. When she starts to fall to the ground......

    Victor catches her before she can hit it. He picks her up and then takes her over to the swing, placing her gently on it. He strokes her hair lightly, and quietly says:

    Victor: I just wanted to see your beautiful face.

    He leans in and kisses her and then looks out into the cold night air.

    -Later, Kimberly walks back into Roman's room and asks to speak with Roman alone. Shane excuses himself and when they are alone, Kimberly tells Roman:

    Kimberly: I am really pissed off at you, big brother, but that will have to wait. I have a problem and you are the only one I can turn to.
    Roman: Sure, Kim. What’s going on?
    Kimberly: It’s Bo. Something is wrong with him. I think it may be...I think he may be remembering.
    Roman: You mean...
    Kimberly: Yeah. I am thinking that is what's causing the current state he is in. I don’t know what to do. We have to get to the bottom of this......we have to find a way to deal with this...

    Before it costs him his life.

    Roman looks at Kimberly in shock and she stares at him with worry.

    -Back at the Cheatin Heart a while later, after she has beaten most of the men in the bar, she says she’s grown bored with that game and feels like dancing. She then tells the bartender to:

    Marlena: Crank it up, Jack. Time for me to shake this fine ass of mine.

    The men take turns dancing very sexy with Marlena, who is bumping and grinding her heart out on the dance floor. She goes from guy to guy, shaking her breasts in their faces and grinding her backside on almost every single crotch in the bar. She then says:

    Marlena: Aye, boys, I need some help getting on top of this bar. Any takers?

    Two men run up and she almost starts a fight between the men who want to help her. She eventually gets up there and then, with the sound of a hard charging country song in the jukebox, she starts taking off her clothing......one garment at a time. She then looks out into the crowd and says:

    Marlena: The party’s just getting started, boys. The main event is coming up shortly.

    The crowd hoops and hollers once again as, in the back, some of the bar patrons are seen taking off their shirts. Marlena spots them......and smiles widely. The scene slowly fades out on her laughing and smiling as she continues her strip show for the fellows as the screen slowly fades to black on her face while the music and guys screaming and howling can still be heard in the background.

    On the next Salem Lives...

    Maggie to Victor: Your back!! But how?
    Victor to Maggie: I can't talk long. I've come to say goodbye.
    Hope to Bo: Please, wake up. We need answers...we need to know what is wrong.
    Kimberly to Roman: Our worst fears are coming true.
    Roman to Kimberly: We don't know that yet and, if they are, we will deal with it. I promise you.
    Steve to Kayla: You...you made it stop. You made the pain stop.
    James to Marlena: What the hell is wrong with you?
    Marlena to James: Just trying to have some fun...you want in, tiger?

    INSIDER FEATURE: SPRING PREVIEW!!!



    The NCAA basketball tournament isn't the only thing causing madness this March as an amazing Spring begins on Salem Lives with several huge twists and turns. It really is one shocker after another as SALEM LIVES VENDETTA begins. "It's our biggest event yet," says EP/HW Tim Lowery. "It's huge in that it's not something that lasts for a few weeks. This MCF mystery has been going on since Fall and now we are getting to what he or she wants to accomplish. That is what VENDETTA is about." VENDETTA begins on March 1 and will continue into the Summer. "It will reach it's dramatic climax in the summer," says Lowery. But, before we get to summer, we need to get through March and Spring so here is a sneak peek at what lies ahead for the people of Salem.

    VENDETTA: "VENDETTA began with a bang as James found his family savagely murdered, Stefano was shot, and it was revealed that the MCF is holding Tony and Anna hostage. Fans will see just how evil and diabolical the MCF is. He or she is pulling so many strings. It has already been revealed that Alan, James, and Marlena are working with the MCF and you can expect more Salemites to fall into he or she's web as they become allies of the MCF. The MCF offers them what they want and they all bite, not realizing the danger and risk they are taking. This MCF mystery builds to May sweeps and the summer. It's really full of shockers and big twists. You can't miss a day because this story is a classic umbrella story that focuses on everyone. The fans won't believe what is coming."

    Roman/Marlena: "Now that it has been revealed that Marlena has multiple personalities, we will start to go inside her mind a little bit. Fans will learn about each of her personalities in depth and all will be explained. Fans will see what caused all this and what each personality draws from. Roman and Marlena's family and friends will fight to reach the Marlena they know and love. The MCF sets Marlena up for a fall and she ends up in a virtual hell that only increases her inner rage. The real story here is about Marlena and her history and how we got to this point. That will be explored and her and Roman's love story will be pivotal to this plot."

    Sami/Lucas/Will: "Sami and Lucas try to get to the bottom of what is going on with Will. She gets interesting info from Shane and starts to think Alan did something to Will. The closer Sami and Lucas get to the truth, the more dangerous Alan becomes. The Will crisis brings Sami and Lucas closer together and gets them to a place where we see the solidifying of their family. Will is falling apart and look for him to forge a deep bond with Bo as they go through their pain and suffering together."

    Nicole/Eric/Carrie/Austin/Alan: "The bitch is back!!! Nicole revisits her old ways and strikes up some unlikely alliances to get what she wants...Carrie's baby. Nicole will do some things that will shock you and will come back haunt her. She begins to see that life with Eric isn't what she thought it would be and he becomes nothing but a nuisance to her. Meanwhile, Austin takes steps to have a future with Carrie as they finally put things in the past with Sami and Lucas. Carrie decides to tell Austin the truth, which will spark the unraveling of the mystery surrounding Carrie's baby. It sets the stage for a dramatic showdown as Alan will fight to keep things from falling apart and more and more people will be on his tail as the truth about Carrie's baby slowly filters out."

    Bo/Hope: "Bo deals with the discovery that he was molested. This is a huge issue for the Brady family. Hope tries to get the truth from Caroline and Kim but gets nothing. Bo goes MIA and we will see him go through a journey of self-discovery. He has alot ot work through and Will will be important to him in terms of his accepting what happened and coming to grips with it. Hope will have to deal with a family crisis and that will detract her attention for a bit. She isn't giving up on Bo that's for sure."

    Steve/Kayla: "Steve suffers a major setback. We begin to see that there is more going on with Steve then meet's the eye. Kayla will learn about what happened to Bo and how Roman and Kim hid the truth so she will deal with that. Steve is still her main focus. Meanwhile, Steve is dragged into something unwillingly and it becomes clear that there is a huge secret from his missing years that is among his lost memories. Expect that secret to be revealed towards the end of May and it will definitely have far reaching effects for many Salemites."

    Maggie/Victor/Caroline/Doug/Julie/Alice: "Victor has a plan but it spins out of control, setting up a tragic series of events. Maggie goes over the edge, endangering many lives and leaving a beloved character's life hanging by a thread. Julie digs a deeper hole for herself when she does something that only the old Julie would do. Alice will play a role in this story as well, along with Caroline who, along with her family issues stemming from what happened to Bo, will try to reach an understanding with Victor. Caroline and Victor will bury the hatchet in a way and that will give a ray of hope for a future between them. Expect Lucas to be a much bigger player in Maggie's story as we go along."

    Jack/Billie: "They will still deal with their children's problems but they will be pivotal to the VENDETTA plot. They, along with Frankie and Greta, are the under the radar investigators. The cops can catch the MCF and Jack and Billie feel obligated to get to the bottom of this because of what happened to JJ and Angel. As they try to piece together this mystery, their feelings for each other grow stronger. However, it's always one step forward and two steps back for them. Jack's fears of moving on and Billie's fear of committment and being hurt are big obstacles for them."

    Max/Abby/Cassie/Chelsea: "There is hope for Max and Abby yet but Max's lack of faith in Abby becomes a sore spot. Cassie gets one upped by a shocking person and it only increases her drive for revenge. It becomes more about revenge them about getting Max. She will seek out help from her family. Meanwhile, Chelsea can't seem to break off from Cassie's web and discovers that Cassie isn't the only one who knows her secrets. Look for something shocking to happen to Abby and Chelsea in April that really ups the ante for Jack, Billie, Max, Cassie, and others."

    Frankie/Greta: "They help Jack and Billie with the investigation of the MCF. We aren't really building them as a couple. We are putting them together in story and seeing what develops. It's more about developing them as characters with Greta's drive to make a difference and her job at The Spectator and Frankie gaining more of an edge and not being such a pushover."

    James: "He has his sights set in finding out who killed his family and getting revenge. He is manipulated big time by the MCF, who uses his rage to his or her's advantage. We start to see James lose his way a bit but, underneath it all, he is still a good guy. Just like he always was. The pain and agony of losing his family is driving him and that means he could be capable of anything."

    Kate: "Kate's meddling becomes a sore spot with her children, especially Philip. She begins to evaluate her parenting and her actions. She will come across a stunning secret and then get herself dragged into something bigger, forcing her to make a huge decision that will, ultimately, have tragic consequences, She will have to live with for the rest of her life."

    Belle/Philip: Now that we know what went down in San Francisco, Philip continues to force Belle to cooperate with him. He wants them to be this stand up family, for his sake and for the Kiriakis name. He seems very driven to impress his father. He wants more power and influence. He was hurt too many times and won't be anymore and that is what is pushing him the desire he has to do more. He thinks his father is holding him back and it becomes apparent how far Philip will go to have what he wants. he will take action against Belle and against his own father. One decision, in particular, that he makes will make it apparent how strong his obsessions with power and prestige are and how much Philip really has changed.

    Shane/Kim: "They help each other through the backlash they are getting from keeping the big secrets they kept. We see the bond still there and it becomes quite apparent that they may be on their way to something. Shane tries to piece together the MCF mystery with the SPD and will also worry about losing his job as a result of helping Carrie. Kim will be right by his side and we will get them to a point where they must evaluate if there is enough between them to give it another whirl."

    Cal/Katherine: "Cal has finally found happiness and is set to start this new life. The past is nothing but an afterthought. There is some great romance for them coming up and it all leads to them taking a big leap of faith. However, there is the matter of the MCF having that file on Cal's past. What will Cal do when the opportunity to learn about his past and, possibly, remember it, presents itself? That is the big question."

    Abe/Lexie/Stefano/Celeste: "Stefano is out of commission for awhile so Lexie takes over things. She thinks that Tony is who the MCF was talking about when he spoke with Stefano so she leads a search team to find him. Celeste and Abe get involved as they worry about Lexie being in danger from the MCF and they somehow think that finding Tony and interrogating him could help them bring down Stefano and end the Dimera influence on Lexie. Celeste begins to have strange visions that give her reason for concern about the future. Look for Stefano to take major action against the MCF once he is on his feet again."


    PENGHLIS AND HUNLEY RETURN!!!! MCCLUER FAMILY OUT!!!



    Fans were told the debut of VENDETTA would be a huge shock and it clearly didn't disappoint. On Thursday March 1, fans were shocked when it was revealed that the MCF was holding long missing Tony Dimera (Thaoo Penghlis) and Anna Fredericks (LeAnn Hunley) captive in an unknown location. "We kept both returns under wraps and thought it would be the perfect way to kick off VENDETTA," says EP/HW Tim Lowery. "We needed a huge twist and we thought it was best to use this reveal because it shows how far the MCF will go and also shows that the scope of this revenge plan the MCF has going reaches outside of Salem. We had talked to Thaoo before he finished playing Andre last summer and we told him he would be back in Spring. We talked to LeAnn in the Fall to get things in line and here we are. It was planned all along." As for how long both will stick around, Lowery is taking a wait and see approach. "They are pivotal to VENDETTA and their part of the story will be slow initially but will build over the Spring and into the summer. I think fans want to see some Anna and Carrie interaction and I also think they would like to see Tony with his daughter, Cassie, and to see him interact with Stefano and Lexie would be fun. We'll see." When asked if VENDETTA will bring more former favorites or new cast members to the canvas, Lowery is tight-lipped. "I am not going to comment because VENDETTA is such a huge event for us. All I can say is there are surprises everyday and I only hope the fans enjoy this ride," he says.

    In other news, all February fans heard that murder would strike Salem. Little did they know that it would be mass murder. On February 26, fans learned that Renee McCluer (Sharon Wyatt) and her three children James Jr aka JJ (Michael Trucco), Jonathan (Zachary Knighton), and Angelica aka Angel (Hayden Panettiere) were savagely killed. It is not yet clear who murdered the family in cold blood but the aftermath of the murder sent major shockwaves through Salem. "It was huge because everything the MCF did was child play compared to this," says Lowery. "Sure, we don't know if the MCF did it or Marlena or whomever but the MCF was still involved somehow. It ups the ante of the story and tells the fans how serious this story and it's situations are. It also adds to the character of James and helps to show the complexity and layers of his character. I can assure the fans that James isn't going anywhere anytime soon. He has great stuff coming up." Roscoe Born (James McCluer Sr) reveals that it was hard to play these scenes. "It was difficult but it was certainly meaty material," Born says. "I like what is coming and it really allows me to dig deep. I couldn't have asked for better onscreen children or a better onscreen wife. They were great and I only wish I had worked with them more." Lowery adds that the fact that these roles were always meant to be short term had a major impact on casting. "Alot of actors we wanted shied away because they knew it was like a 13-18 episode arc,"admits Lowery. "In Hayden's case, she could only take the role if it was short-term. Same goes for Sharon, who has to take care of her mother. I am grateful we had who we had because they did great. I only wished we could've kept them and used them more. They were wonderful keeping the details of the story private."

    There are rumors of major cast cuts yet to come for Salem Lives and that VENDETTA and it's climax will facilitate many exits. "I can't comment on all that," Lowery says. "It's too early and we are trying to limit spoilers and info on what is ahead with this story. It's too big of a story and too dramatic to just come right out and say that we are building to some mass exodus. I just want the fans to sit back and enjoy what is happening. It's going to be a huge spring and summer. That you can take to the bank."

    -Steve is packing his belongings in a hurry at his and Kayla's suite. He is hoping to be done and gone before Kayla returns. Soon after, he has finished packing and is about to leave the bedroom when he hears Kayla walk in and asks where he is.

    -At their cabin near Green Mountain, Cal and Katherine are asleep. Cal begins to have a dream about Katherine and him getting married. She is walking down the aisle and he is smiling. A dark shadow then overcomes Katherine and the chapel. Cal looks around confused. Katherine disappears and Cal asks where she went. The sound of gunshots and screaming men can be heard in the background. The scene then shifts to a battlefield with soldiers running around, avoiding gunfire and explosions.

    Cal then jumps up, awake and sweating. The jolt of his waking up gets Katherine up and asks asks what is wrong.

    -At the Kiriakis Mansion, Kate demands Philip tell her what he is up to.

    Philip: I will just use the power I have. I am a Kiriakis. I am the heir.
    Kate: You don't have the power you father had when he died. What little power and influence you have is not enough. Not even your war hero reputation is enough. Philip, you screwed up. I don't think you have any choice right now but to agree to Belle's demands.
    Philip: No! I am not agreeing to that bitch's offer. Whose side are you on, anyway? Why are you encouraging me to give up like this?
    Kate: Philip...Belle doesn't love you. She is offering you visitation and maybe, with time, things will get better and she will grant you more. But, for right now, this is...
    Philip: Oh I see how it is...you are going to do as she says. If I don't agree, you are going to back her up with the police and media because she threatened to not let you see Claire. It's always about you first, isn't it mom? Never around anymore for any of your children except Lucas and Austin and that is only because of Sami. If you didn't hate her so much, you would have no interest in their lives.
    Kate: Now, wait a second. I have an interest in all of my children's lives and...
    Philip: Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot what you did for Billie was Fall but, again, that was because you can't stand Laura Horton and loved torturing her and making her look bad with Jack and Billie getting closer. The minute Laura accepted it, you backed off. The game was over and you moved on. You meddle in all of your children's lives but hardly ever in mine.
    Kate: Excuse me but I pushed you to begin a relationship with Belle. I did alot of things to keep Shawn out of the picture so don't give me that.
    Philip: Yeah and where did it get me. Look what is happening, mom.
    Kate: It got you Claire, didn't it? Look, I am always on your side and I am sorry if you feel I am slighting you in some way. I am just trying to give you wise advice. Take what you are being offered and behave better towards Belle and she may give you a more reasonable situation with Claire. She is that type of person to...
    Philip: No! I am not giving in and the fact that you think I should disgusts me.
    Kate: What has happened to...Oh my God. You have become your father. Only...your worse. Philip...don't do this. Don't go down this path. Don't be like this. Fight for what you want but don't...
    Philip: Get out!!
    Kate: What?
    Philip: Get out. Your either with me or against me and it's very clear your against me. As far as I am concerned, I no longer have a mother. Got it, KATE?!
    Kate (tears in her eyes): Philip...I...
    Philip: I will do what it takes...if I don't have enough power, I will get it. If I don't have enough resources, I will get them. Whatever it takes, I will do it. I will have Claire and everything I want.
    Kate: Philip...just listen...
    Philip: GET OUT!!! I DON'T WANT YOU HERE!!! HENDERSON!!

    Henderson walks in.

    Philip: Please escort Ms. Roberts out and see to it she never steps foot in here again without my persmission.

    Kate and Henderson are stunned.

    -At Salem Place, Frankie and Greta are at Java Cafe when Victor shows up.

    Frankie: Victor. Sorry to call you out so late.
    Greta: We called your house and were told you were at Titan so we decided to just call to meet you.
    Victor: Yes...I was meeting with some of my detectives who are working on the cloaked figure case. On the phone, you two said something about a plan you, Jack, and Billie have to gather up and examine surveillance videos from several public places around Salem?
    Greta: Yes, Victor and we need your help. We need you to pull some strings. Your the only one that can and we figured since you are working with Stefano and the SPD on this. I know you think the four of us shouldn't be involved and that this is dangerous but we are working on this under the radar and...
    Victor: I should remind me of Jack and Billie's involvement with the two McCluer children. That hardly makes them an unknown in all this.
    Greta: Yes, I know. But they aren't the obvious people to be working on this. This cloaked figure and his or her lackeys are going to have their eyes on the SPD, ISA, and you and Stefano. You all are in the limelight. We're not and we can keep things much more on the down low then you all can. Victor, you helped me before when Eric was ill and needed help. Please...help us again. Help me again. I know you have reservations about all this.
    Victor: Oh, I do. You all were warned not to get involved and this is really to serious for all of you.
    Greta: Jack is an investigative reporter. Billie is a former cop and ISA agent. I have had my fair share of dangerous experiences and I am the editor of the Spectator. Frankie has been in sticky situations...we can handle it. If anything, we can work some of these angles under the radar without detection. We don't have as many hindrances and, who cares who should or should be working on this. As long as we blow this case open and catch this person, that is all that matters. Please, Victor. Help us. Please.

    Greta looks into Victor's eyes as Frankie watches.

    -On the plane to Europe, Abe and Celeste talk about Theo and how much he has grown. Abe thanks Celeste for being there for Theo during Lexie's absence. He really loves her. Celeste says she loves him too and was happy to be.

    Celeste: I was never around for Alexandra during her childhood. Stefano robbed me of that. He robbed me of so much. Who I was...my soul...so much. It wasn't until I found Alexandra again and we reunited that I felt like my true self again. I felt love...love was back in my life and the greatest joy of my life was you and Alexandra allowing me to be a part of your family.
    Abe: Well, you are a part of it. Your Lexie's mother and Theo's grandma. We need you. You were a victim in a long line of victims of the Dimera's. That is why they need to be stopped and that is why we are going on this trip and doing all this.
    Celeste: That's right. I want to stop the Dimera reign before it claims more victims. I will not allow my Alexandra or my Theodore to get swallowed up by the mystique and influence of the Dimera's. I will not lose them. I lost so much time and so much of life because of the Dimera's. I will not lose anymore to them and I will not lose my daughter...not after getting her back so late in life. I can't lose her or Theodore. I may lose myself if that happens. They are...their love...is what keeps me going.

    Abe takes Celeste's hand and says they will do all they can and they won't allow Lexie and Theo to get sucked into the Dimera's web any further. Celeste thanks him for everything and his support. Abe thanks her too and says he is glad she is there. He doesn't know how he would've made it through the last few months and what is going on now without her. He is thrilled to have her with him on this mission. Celeste smiles as Abe smiles back.

    -Back at the cabin near Green Mountain, Katherine asks Cal what he had the dream about. he is silent. Katherine says it was about his past. She knows it was. She asks if he remembered something. He gets out of bed and she calls him back.

    Katherine: You can't keep running from it. Acting like it doesn't exist won't help.
    Cal: I don't know what you are...
    Katherine: Yes, you do. I shouldn't have let you keep ignoring it or trying to push it away. I should've keep pushing but we have been getting so close and...Cal, I don't want you to give up trying to remember or learn about your past. I don't want you to act like there is no hidden past from you. You are using us...what is between us as a means of escaping your past and that can't happen. I won't let it. If you want to be with me because you want to and because you love me, fine. But if this relationship...if this thing going on between us is more an escape for you or a distraction rather then about love and you having actual feelings for me then...I don't want to be with you.

    Cal is silent and looks at Katherine before putting a shirt and pants on and walking out of the bedroom, closing the door behind him as a frustrated Katherine lays back down and puts her hands over her eyes angrily.

    -Back at the Kiriakis Mansion,

    Philip orders Henderson again to get Kate out of there. They are both appalled. Philip tells Henderson to do it or he will see to it that he loses his job or faces a demotion. Henderson reluctantly obliges and takes Kate to the door.

    Henderson (whispering): I am so sorry, Ms. Roberts. I didn't...
    Kate: It's ok, Henderson. I don't know who he is anymore.
    Henderson: Neither do I. I thought he couldn't be any worse then he was while Mr. Kiriakis was presumed dead but he is. With Mr. Kiriakis being gone so much, the young Mr. Kiriakis takes advantage and throws his weight around at his behest.
    Kate: I see. He is truly becoming his father...only he is on pace to be worse. I will have to talk to Victor.
    Henderson: Well, I am not sure when you will be able to. Mr. Kiriakis is quite busy.
    Kate: yes, I figured. He is helping with the clocked person case and is probably helping Maggie.
    Henderson: Yes and Mrs. Brady calling all the time doesn't help...opps. I shouldn't have mentioned that. Me and my...
    Kate: Mrs. Brady...Caroline?
    Henderson: No. I meant to say Ms. Walker since she recently married...ugh. Did it again.
    Kate: It's ok, Henderson. You had a tendency to slip at times. I know you all to well. So, why is Nicole on Victor's back. How long has that been going on?
    Henderson: I shouldn't say anymore.
    Kate: Oh, come on Henderson. You said enough. For old times sake...I mean, you are throwing me out.
    Henderson: Since around the time Mr. Kiriakis returned to Salem. Not that long. I must go before the young Mr. Kiriakis sees me talk...
    Kate: I understand. Thanks Henderson. Good night.
    Henderson: Good night.

    Kate wonders what Nicole is pestering Victor about but realizes it's no matter to her. She realizes she has now lost both Lucas and Philip and blames herself. With tears streaming down her face, she wonders what she is going to do now.

    -Back at Salem Place, Victor is looking into Greta's eyes and then looks down and then back up. He reluctantly agrees to pull some strings and arrange for them to see the tapes on one condition...they must report all their findings to him. Greta and Frankie agree and thank Victor. Victor tells them to not let him regret this and to share that sentiment with Jack and Billie. He wishes them both a good evening and tells them he will be in touch. Greta and Frankie thank Victor again.

    After Victor leaves, Frankie asks Greta what she did. Greta doesn't understand. Frankie says that Victor didn't seem to be caving but when she and Victor looked at each other straight in the eyes, something changed. It almost convinced him to help them. It's like they had a connection. Greta shrugs her shoulders and says she has no idea but it worked and that is all that matters.

    Frankie says he will go get the car and leaves. While alone, Greta says:

    Greta: We do have a connection, Frankie. Victor is my father. Somehow he felt it, just like when he agreed to help Eric a few months ago. Just like I did. The connection worked to our advantage though. Oh how I wish I could tell him...tell everyone but...I can't. I just can't. (a tear streams down her face)

    -Back at Steve and Kayla's suite, Steve hides in a closet as Kayla searches the suite for him. She comes close to finding him as she is about to look in the closet but is interupted by a noise from outside. She goes to check it out and finds out it was nothing but a dinner cart falling over in the hallway.

    While Kayla is outside the suite, Steve sneaks into the main room and hides in a closet in there. Kayla comes back insider and goes back to search the bedroom. As she does, Steve emerges and quietly opens the door and leaves the suite, quietly closing the door behind him. Kayla hears something and returns to the main room, asking Steve if he is there and then asks herself where is he. Meanwhile, Steve walks away from the suite and then turns back, saying:

    Steve: I'm sorry, Kayla. I have to do this for all of us. For our family. For you. I have no choice. I'm sorry.

    Steve then turns away from the suite and walks down the hall as the screen fades out.

    On the Next Salem Lives...

    Kayla to Roman (with Caroline, Kim, and Shane): Steve is gone and I have no idea where he is.
    Lucas to Alice: I am here for you. I am here for the family.
    Eric to Sami: Nicole and I...we're over.
    Nicole to Austin: Eric and I are through...and I just don't even care.
    Carrie: It's time I tell the truth.

    The MCF returns to his or her secret hideaway in the abandoned warehouse office and sits down at the desk.

    MCF: Now that I have Steven on board...it's time to seek out more aid for my plans.

    The MCF looks at the picture shrine he or she created and begins to laugh.

    MCF: All I need is to wait until desperation sets in and then...I make my move.

    The scene then shifts to Tony and Anna, who are still imprisoned in their cell in an undisclosed location.

    Anna: We're never going to get out of here. It's been months since we were imprisoned.
    Tony: Yes but not together. It's only been about a month since you were brought to this cell. I was only here for a little while prior to your arrival. I was in another cell elsewhere. Actually, it was more like a turret you would find in an old European castle. I was then blindfolded and brought here.
    Anna: After they nabbed me, I was put in some sort of basement. It seemed like the basement to a church or something. It wasn't far from where I was in Milan though because they blindfolded me and we arrived in 5 minutes, maybe less. I was there for awhile and then they blindfolded me and brought me here. Whereever here is...it is certainly far away from where I was held first because it felt like I was blindfolded for days.
    Tony: Yeah...same here. Wait...do you hear that?

    Tony and Anna race to the cell door and catch a glimpse of a man. His face is covered with a black shroud and he is clearly wearing a expensice designer suit.

    Tony: Excuse me. Hey!! Speak to me, man!! Good God you can at least turn around and face us!!! We are locked in here...we can't do anything. I just want some answers. I just want to know where we are and why you're...
    Mystery Man: Mr. Dimera! If you are going to start being difficult, then disciplinary action will be taken. You will not interfere in this operation...too much work and effort has been put in. So...shut your trap and just make nice here with the lovely Ms. Fredericks here and there will be no trouble.
    Tony: That voice...it's muffled. I can tell you're trying to make your voice unrecognizable but...I feel like...I know it somehow.
    Mystery Man: Good night, Mr. Dimera...Ms. Fredericks.

    The mysterious masked man leaves.

    Anna: Do you think that man is the person behind all this?
    Tony: No...he's involved but he didn't give me the impression he is the person in charge. That voice...I know I have...oh my...
    Anna: Tony? What is it?
    Tony: I know who that was...despite his best efforts I was still able to make it out...if I'm right. Anna. I mean, if I am right and this man is who I think he is...he is bad enough, Anna. You put this man with someone else of equal and greater power and this makes anything my father has done look like a children's game.
    Anna: Your not making me feel better. Who do you think this man is? Who do you think he is working with?
    Tony: I have no idea who he is working with but that man we just spoke with is one of great power...he is driven by revenge. He is driven by a desire to see his enemies suffer...and heaven help us if his partner in all this is as hell-bent as he is. I fear this is only beginning, Anna. I feel the worst is indeed yet to come.

    Tony comforts a frightened Anna as the scene shifts to outside the cell, where the mystery man is standing. The mystery man takes out a cell phone and dials it.

    Mystery Man: It's me. I think the Count knows who I am...he recognized by voice.
    MCF (from his or her office hideaway): I thought we agreed you wouldn't speak.
    Mystery Man: I tried not to...I needed to shut the Count up. I attempted to make my voice different and...
    MCF: No matter...they are imprisoned. They can't stop us...no one can. Everything is right on schedule. Soon, the grand event we have been planning...the grand event we have been waiting for will commence. We will have our revenge...just as long as you handle everything properly from your end.
    Mystery Man: I am. Everything is going smoothly. I just want your word...I don't want you to double-cross me.
    MCF: If you don't stab me in the back, I will treat you with the same courtesy. That was our deal.
    Mystery Man: Fine. Just as long as you keep to your word.
    MCF: I will, just as long as you. I will call soon to update you on things from my end.
    Mystery Man: Very well. Ciao.

    The Mystery Man hangs up, as does the MCF who begins to laugh after hanging up.

    MCF: Stupid fool. They're all fools. Promises mean nothing...apparently no one buys into the idea that you never trust anyone. (looks at the cell phone he or she just spoke on) As soon as I am done with you, I will toss you to the side like the useless garbage you are. Just like I did Marlena. This is my Vendetta...my plan...my operation. You are just a pawn in it...just like everyone else.

    The MCF begins to laugh again as the scene fades out to...

    -In the sunrise of a beautiful but, very sad day, Alice sits by the window at the foot of her bed. She glances out the window onto a perfect day as she slowly turns the pages of one of her many photo albums. She smiles as she looks at the pictures of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as they have grown over the years but she stares at the pictures of one very special person.

    Her late daughter, Marie.

    Her first picture, when she was four days old. Marie, sitting by her father as he writes another paper for the university. Her first day of kindergarden. Singing her first solo in the church choir. Her first date. A picture of her as class president of Salem High. Her senior pictures. Her first picture that she sent home from her first pilgrimage after she became a nun. Pictures of her with her children. Holding her grandson, Nick, after he was born.

    And then, some of Alice’s favorite pictures. Those of her and Marie. Marie watching her bake her favorite donuts. Alice helping her open her Christmas presents when she was six years old. Marie, holding a stethoscope to her mother’s chest, listening to her heart beat. Them swinging in their backyard.

    Even for a lady who has raised many children and has lived for almost a century, this is the day she was dreading. Burying another child. No parent wants to outlive their children and, for Alice, she has done it twice now. The cancer that took her daughter’s life was slow but from every letter that Marie sent her, she told her mother that she was doing well. Alice knew Marie was covering up but she also knew that it was her way. She never wanted to make her mother worried about her. Alice kept these letters to herself because Marie didn’t want the rest of the family to worry about her.

    She told Alice that she was surrounded by loved ones. She also told her that if it was her time, she was ready and at peace. Alice took great solace in these letters for she knew that her child was not suffering. Marie also insisted that Alice not come and see her. Marie knew that Alice was not as strong as she thought she was and didn’t want her appearance to affect her health. Still, it was a devastating shock when she received word of her death and Alice still wishes she was there......

    At her daughter’s side, as she was called home.

    As Alice closes the book on Marie’s life and times, someone knocks on her door. As she looks to see who it is, the door opens to reveal her granddaughter, Hope. Hope smiles slightly as she brings her grandmother some tea. She sits it down on her end table and, as she pours it, asks her...

    Hope: Are you ok, Gran? You haven’t said much since the news came.
    Alice: Oh, I’m alright, dear. I just........miss my baby. That’s all.
    Hope: I know. The hardest thing to ever do is bury one’s child.
    Alice: And I know that you realize that, dear. But, she is at peace now. That is what is important.

    Hope looks and sees that she forgot the sugar for the tea. She tells Alice.....


    Hope: I don’t know where my mind is today. I know you like sugar in your tea.
    Alice: That’s alright, Hope. Take your time. No need to rush through anything today.
    Hope: Well, still. This is how you like it. And you should have anything you want. Especially today.

    Hope gets up to walk to the door and then stops. Alice looks up at her and wonders what she is doing. Hope turns back around and looks at Alice and then says.....

    Hope: It’s fine. You can bring in the sugar now.

    Hope watches Alice as she sees her expression change. A person walks through the door holding her sugar. This person walks over to her, bends down, and places the sugar on her tray. Alice lifts her right hand and places it gently on this person’s cheek. She smiles and cries as the person says to her.....

    Person: Hello, Grandma.
    Alice: Welcome home, Nick.

    Her great-grandson, Nick Fallon, leans forward and hugs her deeply. She rocks him back and forth as the loving embrace continues. Hope wipes her eyes as she tells Alice...

    Hope: He got in last night and slept in Marie’s bedroom. He didn’t want to disturb you.
    Alice: Well. He should have. How have you been doing, son?
    Nick: I’m fine. (Pausing) I just....miss her so much. She was one cool cat.
    Alice: And she loved you so very much. I still have the picture of her holding you after you were born. She was so proud.
    Nick: I was proud of her.

    Nick stands up and tells Hope that he will sit with Alice for awhile. Hope agrees and leaves them both to spend some precious time together.

    Nick sits on the bed next to Alice and tells her...

    Nick: It’s really hard waking up in the morning and not feeling her in my life right now. I know she’ll always be there but.....
    Alice: She is, son. Your grandmother believed, if for nothing else, that the afterlife is where we are closest with one another. Remember that. She is now but a loving thought away.
    Nick: I know, Grandma. (Looking at Alice) How do you get used to the people that you love not being there anymore?
    Alice: (Taking Nick’s hand) You never get used to it. You just look forward......to seeing them again. And cherish the memories that you have of them. Ok?
    Nick: (Voice shaking) Yes ma’am.

    Nick then gently rests his head on Alice’s shoulder and cries softly. Alice pats his hand and hums to him, the very same way she used to when he was a baby boy. She slowly rocks back and forth and lovingly comforts Nick as he thinks about his grandmother.

    An hour and a half later, guests are beginning to arrive for Marie’s funeral. Hope walks downstairs and rounds the staircase, walking towards the kitchen. She is stopped, though, when a voice from behind her says just two simple words.....

    Person: Hello, cousin.

    Hope turns in her tracks to see the face of her beautiful cousin, Melissa. They both break down crying as they run into each other’s arms and embrace. They then pull back and look at each other, with Melissa saying the very obvious thought they both were thinking.....

    Melissa: Why do we only seem to see each other when someone has passed?
    Hope: I don’t know. (Wiping her tears) We really need to change that.
    Melissa: Not with everything we have been reading about. By the way, how is that handsome husband of yours?

    Hope looks away and grows quiet.

    Melissa: Oh, Hope, no. What has happened?
    Hope: I don’t know, couz. He has turned away from me. Something has really gotten to him and he has shut me out. I don’t know how to reach him.
    Melissa: Well, you know him better than anyone. He’ll find his way back to you, in time. He always has. Have faith in that, Hope.
    Hope: I have to, Melissa. There isn’t much left to have faith in. I”m trying to find some now.....just to get through today.

    The cousins embrace and walk back to the kitchen and are greeted by Julie and Maggie, as two more people watch them leave. These two turn and look at each other and then walk into the living room. They hold hands and smile slightly as one of them says to the other......

    Laura Horton: First Mickey and Jennifer, then Marie. How much can Alice take?
    Mike Horton: I don’t know, Ma. I just wish this cloud that is hanging over our family would lift. I’m tired of coming home for funerals. Mickey's gone and so is my sister and now there's Aunt Marie. I mean, what did we do to deserve this?
    Laura: This is life, son. Marie was very sick. She didn’t want anyone fussing over her. You know how headstrong she was.
    Mike: (Laughing slightly) Yeah, I sure do. I always heard from dad of the fights her and Uncle Mickey used to get into when they were young.
    Laura: That’s because Marie wouldn’t get off the phone and keep it quiet when Mickey was studying law. From what I heard, Tom and Alice had to separate those two more than once because of it.
    Mike: Well, at least now.....they are all together.
    Laura: Yes. And I hope that Marie is finally at peace. It takes times like this to remember......


    At that moment, Laura sees Abby wheeled through the door with Jack and Jack Jr.........

    Laura: What family is all about. Excuse me, please.
    Mike: Sure, Mom.

    Mike watches Laura walk over to Abby, who is near a picture of Marie when she was a teenager. Laura says hi but, when Abby turns around, she smiles slightly and wheels away. Laura knows that some of her actions have alienated her from her grandchild and has to live with the consequences, despite Abby saying she had forgiven her. Laura sees Jack mingle with some other members of the Horton family, when she overhears him say...

    Jack: Oh, Jennifer. Take care of your Aunt Marie up there. I know how much you loved her.

    That is when another voice says....

    Person: We all did. Very, very much.

    Jack turns around and smiles when he sees........

    Jack: Hello, Don.
    Don Craig: Jack, how are you doing?

    Both men shake hands.

    Jack: About as well as could be expected. And you, sir? How is life treating you abroad?
    Don: It’s satisfying. Been spending a lot of time working in Santa Barbara. Wonderful place. I fly back and forth from there and Europe.
    Jack: The Capwells are there, aren’t they?
    Don: (Pausing) Yes, Jack. They are. C.C.........is a friend of mine. Good man. One of my favorite people. As Marie was.
    Jack: A lot of history between you two, wasn’t there?
    Don: Yes. Yes there was. I still can’t believe.......(Tears welling up)........that she’s gone.

    Jack places his hand on Don’s shoulder and tells him....

    Jack: She’s at home now, Don. I really believe that this is what will get the family through. Trust in that.
    Don: From your lips to God’s Ears, Jack.

    Jack places his arm around Don’s shoulder and they both walk outside to breath in the day air. It is at this point where Nick comes downstairs and tells everyone that Alice is getting ready and that the funeral procession will start as soon as the limousines arrive, which has started happening out in front of the house. From her bedroom window, Alice can see the cars pull up and more family and friends arriving. Hope walks back into her bedroom carrying a scarf that Marie always loved and places it around her neck and shoulders.

    As Hope stands back up to leave, Alice grabs her hand tightly. She then says, through a shaking voice...

    Alice: Oh, God. How can I bury another child, Hope? I can’t do this.
    Hope: Gran, I will be right there. Your whole family has come home for two reasons.....to say goodbye to Marie and to help you through this. You are not alone. Believe me when I say that.
    Alice: Then......you will have to be my rock, dear. Just like you have been since word came. Please? I need you now, ok?
    Hope: (Stroking her hair) I’m not going anywhere, Gran. I’m right here.

    Hope kisses Alice on her cheek and then sits next to her on her bed. As she is hugging Alice, a knock comes at her bedroom door. When Alice tells the person to come in, she breaks down when she sees the faces of her two sons, Tommy and Bill.

    Hope stands up as they both look at Alice, with tears streaming down their faces. Alice slowly lifts her arms up, reaching out for her children who slowly walk over, kneel down, and embrace their mother. As they cry in her arms, just like when they were little boys, she looks down at both of them, who are now looking at her for comfort and, with Hope standing next to her uncles, crying, she tells her boys.....

    Alice: Now, you two know that your sister wouldn’t want you crying like this. She loved you two so much.
    Bill: (Standing up) Yes, ma’am. (Wiping his tears away) You’re right, as usual.
    Tommy: (Sitting next to her) She didn’t hurt much, did she?
    Alice: No, son. At the end, she was at peace. I can feel it. When any of my children are in pain or joy and happiness has filled their day, I can feel it. A gift from God, I guess. No. Your sister was the happiest she has been in her whole life. You both keep that with you. Ok?
    Bill: We will, Ma. I just......miss her so much. This house used to be full with laughter and arguing and good times.
    Alice: And it still is, Bill. I hear it every day. This house is still full. With the love of a family who has grown. Together.

    Alice reaches her hand out and takes Bill’s hand.

    Alice: And now........it is time to take Marie home. To her final resting place. I’ll need you all for that today. So (as Tommy and Bill help her stand up) Let’s be strong and show what the Hortons are made of, ok?
    Bill: Yes, ma’am.

    Bill and Tommy help Alice walk downstairs as Hope walks behind them. As they descend the stairs, other family members and friends watch the quiet strength that Alice is showing and are gaining strength from her as well. She stops at the entrance to the living room and quietly says.....


    Alice: Marie would be so humbled to see you all here. Probably as humbled as I am. Thank you so much for going the last mile with her.

    More of her family members step forward to give her hugs and kisses. People that Alice hasn’t seen in so very long but have kept in contact. One by one, each one tells her.........

    Sandy Horton: It’s so good to see you.
    Spencer Olsen: Sure is. You still going strong.
    Sarah Horton: That's Gran. It's all about that strong constitution of hers.
    Jessica Blake Fallon: As always. It is our honor to be here today......to say farewell.
    Joshua Fallon: That is the honest to God’s truth.


    Nick looks on and smiles as he stands next to Hope and Melissa. What Melissa doesn’t know is that someone else is standing behind her. And, a moment later, she hears one voice say......

    Pete Jannings: Aye there, pretty lady.

    Melissa turns around and gives Pete a big hug, thanking him for coming to this family event. Pete tells her, in front of everyone, that he knows how much Marie meant to her, and he didn’t see himself anywhere else but right there. By her side. Melissa smiles at Pete and holds his hand tightly, telling him that she will need him to get through today. Pete responds, saying.....

    Pete: Your wish is my command.

    And then he kisses her on her cheek. This makes Alice smile, as she tells everyone.....

    Alice: Well, I guess it’s time. Is everything ready?
    Bill: Yes, Mama. Marie’s hearse is here. The limousines are all out front.
    Tommy: Shall we go, Mother?
    Alice: Yes. It’s time (Her voice shaking) to take Marie home.

    Everyone watches as Tommy and Bill walk Alice out to her limousine, as everyone files out and into their respected car. Nick is the last one out and locks the door. He then takes a few steps forward and looks up at the sky, as he tells the heavens........

    Nick: Well, Grandma, it’s going to be a full house. I knew you could pack ‘em in. See you at the church.

    Nick then walks towards the limousine and gets in, as they all start up as one. The hearse then slowly pulls off and heads down the street, as the fleet passes by all of Marie’s old stomping grounds. Salem High School, the soda shop on the corner, a hamburger place that she ate at after school, and many other sites where she spent her youth. Members of the community, reading about Marie’s death, and knowing that today is her funeral, stand on the sidewalks, at the corners of streets, and come out of their stores and shops to pay their quiet, kind respects to a member of one of Salem’s best families. They take their hats off, members of the police department and veterans, some of whom worked with Marie, salute and others waive, expressing their sorrow for Alice and her family during one of Marie’s last rides.

    Nick then passes the driver a disc and asks him to play it. The driver tells him no problem and when he puts the disc in the CD player, the song that starts playing is Sweet Jane by The Cowboy Junkies . Nick knew that this was one of her favorite songs and had heard her humming it when he spent the night with her. That is why he always thought that she was so cool. An old soul, Alice called her. As the song played and as they get closer to the church, Bill looks towards a playground and sees himself with a young Marie, pushing her on a swing. A tear comes down his face as he remembers his sister then.

    At that moment, she gets off of the swing, turns around, and waves at Bill. Bill smiles and slightly waves back, hoping no one saw him. When he looks, he sees Hope looking right at him, smiling. He smiles back at her and when he turns his head back to look at the playground, Marie is gone. He breathes deeply and clutches his mother’s hand again, gaining strength from her at this time.

    As the song ends and the camera crews from the local news record the funeral procession as it arrives at the church, the scene very slowly fades to black.

    The MCF is examining his or her collage of pictures on the wall of the abandoned warehouse office closet. He or she points to and caresses a picture of Cassie.

    MCF (via voice changer): It's your time now, my dear.

    The MCF then examines the rest of the collage.

    MCF: The day is nearly here. Everyone is nearly in position. Soon, the ship will be here and the grand finale will commence. The day of reckoning is on the horizon...a day I have been waiting for and worked so hard for. I can only hope it satisfies my thirst for vengeance...for evening the score. Soon...

    The scene then shifts to Tony and Anna, who are still in their cell.

    Anna: I still can't beleive you were right about that person.
    Tony: Yeah but it's only the associate. If I could only find out who the ringleader of his circus is...

    Tony and Anna then hear someone coming and race to the cell door. They see the mysterious associate, who is wearing a suit yet again and has a black hood on again as well.

    Tony: Hey!!!
    Mysterious Associate (low and whispering tone): What?
    Tony: Is it really necessary to wear the hood? We know who you are. You also don't need to whisper
    Mysterious Associate: Hmm...your right. Force of habit. My apologies, Count. I am still quite upset with you pulling off my hood.

    The mysterious associate takes off his hood.

    Tony: Well, that's a shame but it's certainly is nice to look at you face to face. Now, why don't you tell us who your boss is? Afterall, we aren't going anywhere.

    The camera then pans up to reveal the identity of the mysterious associate as...

    THIS PERSON.

    Mysterious Associate: I can't do that, my friend. I am afraid you will just have to settle for knowing one half of the equation.

    The mysterious associate laughs sadistically as the screen fades into...

    SALEM HARBOR

    -The MCF arrives at the Salem Harbor and sees that the cruise ship has arrived. Ernesto slowly makes his descent off the ship.

    MCF (via voice changer): WELCOME TO SALEM!!
    Ernesto: Thanks. It's been a long time coming. Is it really necessary for you to wear that damn cloak? Aren't you hot?
    MCF: I need to conceal my identity until tonight. That is also why I still use my voice changer at all times. You never know, Ernesto.
    Ernesto: I guess. Sorry about having you come all the way to the harbor. This ship is so big that there is no way it would fit in at the pier so I had the harbormaster pull some strings and get us here.
    MCF: It's no matter. You let me know ahead. The harbormaster is still in our employ, I trust?
    Ernesto: Yes. No problems.
    MCF: Good. Well, now that your here, monitor the guests and make sure there are no problems. I must go take care of some last minute business to make sure our guests arrive here tonight. They may not fall right into our hands so I may have to force the issue.
    Ernesto: Do what you must. I will be here, preparing the ship for our guests' arrival.
    MCF: Good. Oh, and how is Steven?
    Ernesto: Well, he is aware we are in Salem but I have guards outside his room on the boat. I didn't want him going anywhere unless it's with our instructions.
    MCF: Good. Keep it that way. Now, I must go. Time is of the essence. I will be back soon.

    The MCF leaves as Ernesto returns to the ship.

    The scene then shifts to Steve, who is sitting in his room on the ship. His guilt over having to help kidnap Lexie. Abe, and Celeste is eating away at him. He knows he is in Salem and that the MCF is going to do something big. He need to warn everyone. He looks outside his room and sees the guards still there. He looks around for another way out but can't find any. He wonders what he is going to do. Lives are in danger and he may be the only one who can stop it but he can't if he can't get out of his room.

    Meanwhile, Lexie is looking out the window of her, Abe, and Celeste's cell. Her face turns to one of shock as she says that the area they are in looks familiar. She realizes it's Salem. Abe and Celeste take a look and realize she is right. Celeste then gets a strange vibe and says that she feels this is where it all begins. The horror...terror...tragedy. They must warn there loved ones in Salem. Lexie tries to calm Celeste as a worried Abe looks on.

    The scene then shifts to Tony and Anna. Both are silent until Tony finally says:

    Tony: This is ridiculous. You haven't said anything in a few days. DAMNIT!! Talk to me, will ya?

    Anna is silent. Tony walks over to her and grabs her.

    Tony: Anna...I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I just felt...
    Anna: What, Tony? Did you you expect me to admit my love for you too? What did you expect? After all these years, did you think you saying you still loved me would mean we could just reunite like nothing ever happened? Alot happened, Tony. Just because we have been locked up together for months and had to rely on each other does not mean we are close enough to ever be like we were.
    Tony: I didn't expect anything. i just wanted to get my feelings out for you.
    Anna: Tony, we both know what you expected. You thought I felt the same way.
    Tony: And you don't?

    Anna is silent. She turns away, fighting back tears and has been clearly affected by Tony's declaration of love.

    Anna: I'm not saying anything. I don't want to talk about this. I will make you a deal. I will talk but not about this. Let's drop the issue. Ok?
    Tony: Whatever you wish.
    Anna: Good.

    Anna turns her back and walks away as Tony looks on, contemplating what exactly Anna does and does not feel for him.

    Meanwhile, Chelsea is looking out the window of their cell/estate room and says she can't beleive they are in Salem. Forrest remarks on how he can only imagine what is in store for them. He wonders why they were brought to Salem. Abby notices that Forrest looks a little unnerved about being in Salem and asks if he is ok. Forrest says it's just hard to imagine being here. He never wanted to be in Salem. Lawrence had spend so much time there and there is so much history. There is just some things he doesn't want to deal with. Chelsea asks what those are. Abby tells her that Forrest has some things he doesn't wish to discuss and his past is one of them.

    Chelsea asks Abby how they are supposed to be able to trust him and get to know him. They told him all about them or, at least, Abby did. Abby points out they have nothing to hide and that Forrest maybe had to deal with alot in his life. She advises Chelsea to stop being so rude to Forrest. He has been nothing but a good friend to both of them since they got there. Abby insists she owes him an apology. Forrest tells both girls to calm down and tells Abby he understands where Chelsea is coming from. There is no need for an apology.

    Forrest tells Abby that Chelsea is only looking out for her best friend. She is very lucky and he doesn't blame her. He is a stranger to them and he apologizes for not being able to share more. He just can't right now. There are just some things he doesn't want to relive or share. All he can assure them of is he has no intention of hurting them or manipulating them. He is being held captive for unknown reasons just like them. Abby thanks him for being so kind and understanding. They both smile as a worried Chelsea watches, bothered by the growing bond between Abby and Forrest.

    -On the pier, Kate searches for the MCF. She checks her purse and reveals a gun that she just recently purchased. She says she will do whatever is necessary to end the recent sufferings of her family. She vows that the MCF's games end now. She then sets off in search of the MCF.

    -Eric is walking through Salem Place and comments on how he can't beleive all the fighting at the Brady family Memorial Day picnic. He shows up late to all that and it's a shock. He is glad he wasn't there for the beginning and that he didn't stay. His Grandma Caroline could've used him but she has Hope comforting her. Besides, he needs to get to the bottom of whatever secrets are being kept between Carrie, Kate, Nicole, and Victor. He knows Sami know of nothing because she would've told him. He remembers Belle was in the bridal party and wonders if she knows anything that can help. He decides to head over to see her and to see if she knows anything.

    -At the penthouse, Belle is checking Claire's temperature and telling Caroline she is so sorry for not being able to come. Claire had a high fever and she couldn't take a chance. She asks her if she is sure she is ok. Belle tells her if she needs anything to call her. She is sorry the picnic seemed to upset her and not go as planned. She tells Caroline that her and Claire will stop over as soon as she feels better. Belle bids her goodbye as there is a knock at the door. Belle answers it to find Philip there.

    Philip tells Belle he would like very much to talk to her about Claire. He wants to apologize for his actions of late and to work out a compromise. He knows he needs help for his recent drinking troubles and for his temper. He will comply with her rules but he doesn't want to never see Claire. She is his world and he needs to see her. Belle reminds Philip of all the chances she gave him and he messed up on every one of them. She can't trust him. The man she cared about is gone. He has been gone since the island mess last summer and he isn't coming back. Philip promises Belle he will get better but she won't hear of it. She has heard it before and is finished. She is filing papers tomorrow to have him removed from Claire's life for good and he can't stop her. He isn't fit to be a father to her. She slams the door in his face.

    Once inside, she takes a deep breath and goes upstairs to get some medicine for Claire. Outside the penthouse, Philip is distraught. He can't lose Claire. He has already lost everything. His cell phone then rings.

    Philip: Hello?
    MCF (via voice changer): It's time, Philip. Tonight...you take action.
    Philip: What?
    MCF: The plan...the deal we had you imbecile!! Go down to your car and stay on the line.

    Philip gets in the elevator, while still on the phone. The scene then shifts outside to Philip's car. He arrives at it.

    Philip: Ok.
    MCF: Open the door.
    Philip: My doors are locked.
    MCF: Not your driver's side.

    Philip opens the driver's side door and finds a brown envelope.

    Philip: How did you break in without setting off...
    MCF: I have my ways. Open the envelope

    Philip opens it to find a bottle of pills.

    MCF: Those are mild sedatives to knock your pops out. They won't hurt him. You can look up the drop to make sure or even try it on someone. Tonight at 8:00 PM you will give him 2 pills. They will knock Victor out promptly. Then, you will get your father out of the house and into your car. Only you can do this due to your father's state of the art security. Bring him to the Salem Harbor-Port 9. I will be there when you arrive and we will go from there.
    Philip: Look...I don't want to hurt him. I'm not sure I can do this.
    MCF: You want power, don't you? You want to keep Belle and Claire...right? You need all the power and influence you had while Victor was presumed dead. The power he is denying you. You will be able to prove yourself, Philip. By the time we let your father go, you will have shown you ability and he will let you have more responsibility and influence. You will have Belle and Claire. You will have it all, Philip. You have to do this. I promise you I will hold to the deal. You can even be with us and watch over me and my men. Your father will not be harmed.
    Philip: I still don't know.
    MCF: Let me also remind you that you don't have a choice, Philip. Whether you agree or not, you are doing this or I will make sure you lose everything anyway. I need your father out of the way for a bit.
    Philip: Why? What is...
    MCF: Nevermind. Just think of all the benefits this will provide for you in the long run. This is for both of us, Philip. It's a win-win and your father won't be hurt.

    Philip thinks about the MCF's words.

    Philip: Alright but I don't want him hurt and I want to be around alot to make sure you hold to the deal.
    MCF: Very well. I will be in touch later tonight to make sure all is going well. Just follow instructions and you will be fine. Until later.
    Philip: Bye.

    Philip hangs up, wondering if he is doing the right thing. He realizes he really has no choice and that as long as his father isn't harmed, it may very well work out for the best. He sets out for the mansion to prepare to do something he thought he would never do...drugging his own father and having him kidnapped.

    -At the Salem Inn, Austin and Carrie are continuing their honeymoon and are kissing in a hot tub in their room. Carrie tells Austin this couldn't get any better and that for the first time in months, she feels like all her troubles are miles away. Austin says that's good as it seems he is doing his job. They kiss. Carrie says she feels that they are missing her family's picnic but it is their honeymoon. Austin assures her they understand and wouldn't want her to interupt her honeymoon. Besides, they were supposed to be in Aruba by now if not for a storm in that area. As far as her family knows, they aren't in Salem. Carrie says he is right and that it's fine. They will take a flight out in the morning and it will all work out. The hotel knows anyway. They then go back to making love in the hot tub.

    Meanwhile, the MCF hides behind some crates on the pier. Alan arrives. The MCF peers behind the crates and motions to him. Alan asks what is going and why he wanted to meet him. The MCF says that tonight is the big night and he needs Alan to make sure that all of the guests they need make their way to the ship. He urges him to pass the message on to James. Alan asks why he just didn't call and give directions. The MCF says he or she feels it's better in person so that Alan takes this seriously. God knows he screwed up enough. Alan says he knows he made mistakes but that he has been effective for the most part.

    The MCF reminds him of his molesting Will and how that wasn't part of the plan. He did right by kidnapping Will to keep him silent but he could've found some other way to frighten him into keeping his mouth shut. Alan says he knows that but he also had a chance to inflict his own revenge on Sami and Lucas through Will. The MCF says that there are other ways and that he was supposed to wait until tonight to get any revenge. The MCF reminds Alan he or she promised that everyone involved in this operation would have their chance for payback but they needed to have patience. Alan jumped the gun but it's no matter now. Will is keeping his mouth shut and it puts the Brady, Horton, and Roberts families through more hell.

    Just then, Kate shows up. The MCF and Alan are stunned.

    Kate: Well, hello there. Hope I'm not interupting.
    MCF (via voice changer): Kate...
    Kate: You know Alan...I knew something was off about you when you returned and boy was I right. I had the rumblings that you were in with the cloaked one so I'm not surprised.
    MCF: Kate, what do you want?
    Kate: Answers. I know you have Chelsea. You have been manipulating me and Carrie into keeping Evan with Nicole. Now, I hear that your cohort, Alan, here did something to Will.
    Alan: I don't...
    Kate: NO!! Don't deny it because I just heard it being talked about between you two. Very sloppy of you two, I must say. All these months of secret planning and so on and it was so easy to find you both and overhear your talk. I'm disappointed. I wanted a challenge.
    MCF: Alright. ENOUGH!!

    Kate then pulls out a gun and aims it at Alan and the MCF.

    Kate: You got that right. ENOUGH!! I've had enough of you making me and my family suffer, along with so many of your other victims here in Salem. It ends now. I was afraid before but you know I'm not now. I showed you that last night when you kidnapped me.
    MCF: Well, bravo to you. Now, put the gun down and...
    Kate: No. Not until I get what I want.
    MCF: And that is?
    Kate: What I just asked for. I want answers...now!!

    The MCF and Alan look at each other as a determined Kate holds them at gunpoint.

    -Back at the Salem Inn, Austin and Carrie are both relaxing in the tub. Carrie's mind is drifting and she once again finds herself thinking about her secrets. She recalls getting the DNA tests and learning Evan is her son. She opens her eyes and, as tears stream down her face, she whispers she is sorry to Austin but that she has no choice. Austin slowly stirs and asks what she said. Carrie says she was just talking to herself. Austin notices that she seems nervous or worried and asks her what is wrong and why she is acting like that. She was just fine a minute ago. Carrie assures Austin she is fine. She just needs his arms around her to know that this is only the beginning of the good times for them. Austin promises her it is.

    Meanwhile, at the penthouse, Belle exits the bathroom with the medicine for Claire. She walls by the guest room Carrie stayed in the night before the wedding and sees something that catches her eye. She looks between the nightstand and the bed and finds a piece of paper. She wonders if it is important and sees it is part of her a Universtity Hospital Lan test. She sees the nightstand drawer slightly open and opens it completely. She finds a large envelope with University Hospital on it and wonders if the paper fell out of it. She wonders why that would be there and recalls Carrie being the only one in there unless Sami dropped something. She then notices the paper says DNA testing on it. She is reluctant to look because it isn't her business. She decides to put it away and just ask Carrie when she returns but something catches her eye as she tries to put it away. The paper has the name "Evan" on it. Recalling that is the name of Nicole's adopted son, Belle looks at the paper further and sees Carrie's name on the paper too.

    Belle: What the hell is this?

    There is then a knock on the door downstairs. It's Eric, who calls out to Belle and asks if she is home. Belle is reading the paper and decides she has to look inside the envelope for the rest now that she has read the loose paper. She reads it over and says:

    Belle: Oh my God...Evan is Carrie's son?!

    She then hears Eric calling to her but is so stunned she can't move as the screen freezes on her shocked face and then fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Roman to Marlena: Talk to me. Please!!
    Marlena to Roman: I hate you!!
    Hope to Caroline: I am going to go after Bo and get the truth. Tonight!
    Kim to Shane: It's no use. My family will hate me...and that will never change.
    Kate to the MCF: You tell me everything now or I blow your brains out!!
    Carrie: Oh my God...the labe results!!
    Eric to Belle (who is holding the DNA test results): What do you have there?

    -At the Brady Pub, Kayla comes out of the kitchen and tells Caroline she put all the leftover food away from the picnic. Caroline is silent. Kayla asks if she is still mad at her for what happened at the picnic. Caroline says of course she is. She is mad at the whole family for their antics. A day of family bonding that she hoped would at least lead to them all getting along turned into WWIII. Kayla apologizes but reminds Caroline she warned her that all the tension in the family could lead to something like that.

    Hope arrives and asks if everything has calmed down. Caroline says at the moment it has but the family isn't together so that is why. Hope apologizes to Caroline about what happened. Caroline tells Hope it's not her fault. Kayla agrees, saying it's on her and the rest of the family. They ruined it. Kayla admits, however, that she isn't sure if the family can ever be happy and together again. Hope asks why that is and demands once again to know what is going on.

    Meanwhile, outside the Pub, Kim is watching Kayla,Hope, and Caroline talk. Tears stream down her face as Shane comes up from behind and embraces her. Kim tells Shane it's no use. Her family will her forever and that will never change. Shane assures her it will be alright but Kim says he's wrong. It will never be alright again for her...or her family.

    -At the University Hospital psych ward, Roman walks down the hallway to Marlena's padded cell with Dr. Barbara Harris. Barbara tells Roman that the Samantha personality has completely taken over Marlena and that she isn't optimistic that they will be able to bring back the real Marlena. Roman's mood turns somber, as he says that he wasn't getting his hopes up but it still hurts. He was prepared though. He just needs to be strong for the kids. He just hates that she is missing so much and will miss so much going forward. She is still there with them but not really and it's hard.

    Barbara tells Roman that if he and the family need any counseling or help, she is there for them. He thanks her. They arrive at Marlena's padded cell. She is sitting in a dark corner. Barbara tells Roman she will give him a few minutes alone and to call if he needs anything. She leaves.

    Roman: Marlena? Doc...


    Marlena is silent. Roman calls for her again and still nothing.

    Roman: Talk to me. Please!!

    Marlena finally turns to look at Roman. She slowly gets up to her feet, walks over to the door, and says coldly:

    Marlena: I hate you!! And...I AM NOT MARLENA!!! THE BITCH IS DEAD!!! DO YOU HERE ME?! DEAD!!

    Roman jumps back in shock and is stunned by the evil he sees in the eyes of the woman he loves.

    -At the pier, Kate continues to hold the MCF and Alan at gunpoint, demanding answers. Alan denies doing anything to Will as the MCF turns towards him and says:

    MCF (via voice changer): Tell her, Alan. I want you to. Remember...the plan.
    Alan: But...what if...
    MCF: Nevermind. It's ok. It will help get things together. It has to come out sometime for everything to go as planned. Just do it.
    Kate: What the hell are you two talking about?
    MCF: Nevermind. Go ahead, Alan. Share with Kate what you did to Will...that infamous night. The night that Carrie gave birth and the night that Will learned who you really were after months of him thinking of you as some older friend that would save him from the principal when needed and so on.
    Alan: You going to save anything for me to tell?
    MCF: Sure. Go ahead.
    Alan: That night...Will had found out who I really was. It was shortly after he learned that his mother had been raped by me.
    Kate: Ok, so wait. You were using him. Weren't you? You were befriending him in secret for months. You helped him out to gain his trust so he would provide you with information. He would be like your bridge to Sami and Carrie.
    Alan: Right. Now...I was forced to kidnap him that night. Carrie was in labor and I couldn't have him blow everything for me. He needed to be scared into silence. I knew that. I knew he needed to fear me and what I would do if he opened his damn mouth so...I took action. Perhaps it was extreme (laughs) but I thought it was appropriate. After all, I had committed a similar act with his mother...only this time a young boy was involved. A little weird but not after all I have been through.
    Kate: Similar act...Sami. Oh My God. No...
    Alan: Smart woman. Have it figured out, don't you?
    Kate (fighting back tears): Please. Don't tell me...you didn't? God...please. You didn't...molest Will, did you?

    Alan smiles and nods.

    Kate: YOU BASTARD!!

    Alan sees Kate raising the gun up and makes a run for it. The MCF calls out to him but he takes off. Kate is about to shoot but the MCF grabs her, knocking the gun to the ground, and tells her to calm herself.

    Kate: Calm myself!! My grandson was molested by a man who I am helping to cover for because of you!! That's it!! We're through. I am telling everyone everything I know about you and your little operation.
    MCF: I wouldn't do that...if you want to live to see your beloved Will graduate.

    -At the Salem Inn, Austin has fallen asleep in the tub. Carrie is out of the tub and is doing her nails so she can be all pretty for Aruba with Austin tomarrow. She finishes doing them and then goes to put the nail polish back in her bag. She then puts the bag in her dresser drawer. She thinks about the secrets she is keeping and can't help but feel guilty. She hates doing this but has no choice. While in the drawer, she is reminded of the DNA lab results that confirmed Evan was her son. It comes to her in that moment that she hasn't seen them. She searches the room and can't find them. She wonders where they are.

    Meanwhile, at the Penthouse, Belle is still reading over those very lab results and is stunned by what they saw. She wonders how Nicole's adopted baby son, Evan, could be Carrie's. Eric is still downstairs, calling out to Belle. Belle finally comes out of her state of shock and hears Eric's knocking. Eric has gotten the doorman from downstairs to let him in since he was concerned with Belle not answering. The doorman is happy to oblige since he knows Eric after all these years. Eric enters as the doorman leaves. Eric calls out to Belle and searches downstairs. He then heads upstaits. Belle realizes Eric is in the house and decides she should hide the lab results as it's Carrie's business and it wouldn't be right for her to show anyone or tell anyone.

    Belle tries to hide it but Eric comes in the guest room just as she is trying to stuff the results under the bed. He asks Belle what she is doing. Belle says she is looking for something but Eric notices the envelope and papers in her hand and asks why she is looking for something with all that junk in her hand. Belle insists it isn't junk. Eric then asks what she has there then. Belle doesn't know what to say.

    -Back outside the Brady Pub, Shane tries to assure Kim to have hope. Her family does love her. There is just alot of pain and suffering right now and they all need time. He tells her that her mother and her are ok. Kim says she knows her mother is upset with her too but isn't saying anything for the family's sake and because she is her mom. It's hopeless. She and Roman screwed up and now she has to live with it. Shane hugs her, saying he is there for her. Kim thanks him and says they can be there for each other while they are both shunned by her family and Salem.

    Inside the Pub, Caroline reminds Hope once again it isn't her place to say anything. Kayla reiterates that. Hope says this must stop. The Brady family is falling apart and it seems this secret Bo has that everyone seems to be keeping is at the center of it. She is going to find out what it is...once and for all. The madness must end and the only way to do that seems to be through Bo. She is going after him and is going to get the truth from him. No matter what. Tonight!!

    Hope grabs her purse and takes off. Kayla wishes her luck as Bo is so stubborn she will need it. Kayla apologizes to Caroline again and says with everything going on with Steve's disappearance and all she is stressed out enough without family issues making it worse. Caroline says she doesn't want to discuss the picnic and family problems anymore. She is tired and going to lay down upstairs. She tells Kayla to have faith that Steve will come back to her. Even with no memory, he knows he is connected to her and Salem. He will come back to her. Either that or Roman and the SPD will find him. Kayla doubts that but thanks Caroline for her support. They embrace as Caroline goes upstairs.

    While alone, Kayla says she has waited long enough. She is giving Roman and the authorities only 24 more hours and then she is taking matters into her own hands to find Steve. He needs her. She can feel it and she won't wait no longer.

    -Back at the pier, Kate tell the MCF to let go of her.

    MCF: You tell anyone anything...so help me. You know what I will do. You know what I am capable of.
    Kate: I am sick of you torturing me and my family. Torturing this whole town. It ends now. I'm not afraid of...

    The MCF pulls out a knife and puts it near her throat.

    MCF: You won't get the chance to say anything, Katie.
    Kate: Ok. Fine. I will stay quiet.
    MCF: You better.

    The MCF lets her go.

    MCF: If you do anything to defy me, you and your family will face my wrath. Understood?
    Kate: Yes.
    MCF: Good. I must go. Business to tend to. I am watching...like always. Good day.

    The MCF leaves as Kate says she has to do something...even if it means she dies trying. It's the only way to really protect the people she loves. This must end...today!!

    -Back at the Salem Inn, Carrie searches desperately for the lab results but has no luck. She thinks of where she may have left it and remembers having it in the guest room at Marlena's penthouse the night before and the day of her wedding since she brought it with her from the Penthouse Grille where she recieved it. She realizes that is the last place she remembers having it so it must be there. She quickly gets dressed and leaves, slamming the door behind her. Outside the room, she regrets slamming it, hoping Austin didn't wake up. Back inside the room, Austin has woke up. He puts a robe on and wonders where Carrie is.

    -Back at the Penthouse, Belle tells Eric it's just a bunch of old junk that mom kept. She gets up off the floor. Eric looks at her and asks if she is ok. Belle says she is fine. Eric notices she seems jumpy. Belle says she is just a little wired today. She then hears Claire being to cry, which scares her, making her drop the envelope and papers. Belle says she will get it but Eric offers to help anyway. He picks up one paper and is stunned by what he reads. Belle tries to grab the papers but Eric won't let her. He takes two pages out of Belle's hand. He asks her where she got them from. Belle explains she found them between the bed and nightstand. Eric remembers Carrie stayed in the room. He is stunned and asks Belle why she was hiding the papers. Belle says she just found them right before he came in and didn't think it was her place to show them or talk about them.

    Belle hears Claire crying and says she needs to tend to her. Eric mentions to her as she leaves how it makes sense now. Carrie being upset around Nicole and Evan, her holding Evan at Salem Place and claiming him to be hers, and Evan being born the same day as Carrie's baby and being found at Green Mountain by him and Nicole only 30 miles or so away from the cabin where Carrie gave birth to him. It all fits together. Nicoles lies...everything. Belle asks what they should do. Eric tells her to find a sitter for Claire. They need to confront Carrie to see if these lab results are as legit as they look and true. Belle says that Claire is sick but it's only a slight cold and fever and this is a family emergency. She will call someone right now. Eric thanks her, saying he will need her. Belle leaves as Eric looks at the lab results, saying this may finally be the answer he has been looking for.

    -Back at the University Hospital psych ward, Marlena tells Roman she has no desire to see him or anyone else and to stop coming. She wants to be left alone to make plans. Roman asks her for what.

    Marlena: That's a surprise. Now...GET OUT!!! I DON'T WANT YOU HERE!!! MARLENA'S NOT HERE!! "DOC" IS DEAD??? GET OUT!!

    Barbara hears what is going on and asks what is happening.

    Marlena: I want no more visitors. I have too much to do and I have no interest in anyone who was associated with Marlena. Got it? If I have anymore guests for Marlena, when I get out of here I will make you my first target, doctor.
    Barbara: You aren't getting out of here. Now...I will be sure you don't see anyone but I need you to calm down.
    Marlena: Will do.

    Barbara pulls Roman away, telling him he must go. Roman asks what she means by making plans and why she seems so confident she is getting out of there. Barbara says she is delusional. There is no way for her to get out. They have strict security guidelines and a great staff. She is going nowhere. Roman says that's good and says he will go now. Roman looks back at Marlena, with eyes filled with dejection due to his love for her being rejected by her. Roman says goodbye, this time not calling her anything, and then turns and leaves.

    Marlena: Goodbye!! What a lovesick loser!! Pathetic.
    Barbara: He does love you.
    Marlena: He loves Marlena. She is dead. I killed her. It's time to move on.
    Barbara: Whatever you say.
    Marlena: Now leave me alone. I must go back to planning. There is much to do.
    Barbara: Planning what?
    Marlena: Wouldn't you like to know? (laughs)

    Barbara just ignores Marlena's words and walks away from the cell door.

    Marlena: As if I would tell her, or the great Roman Brady, my plot to escape. They will see soon enough...tonight. Yes, tonight...I make my move and get out of this hellhole. Finally...after all these weeks that feel like years. Tonight...I get back to work and finally begin my own mission. This time it's about me...no partnerships or alliances. Just me and my plan...for revenge.

    Marlena laughs uncontrollably as the screens freezes on her face and then fades to black.

    THIS WEEK'S WRITER IN THE HOT SHEET: PATRICK EWING (ROMAN)


    1. The response to Arloa Reton (Joelle Young) has been sensational. How do you feel about the way readers have voiced their opinion about her and her character?

    A: To be perfectly frank, that has came out of nowhere. Arloa has asked if she is doing a good job, and all I can tell her is “Read the responses, my dear.” (laughs) People like her, but hate her character’s guts. Readers have threatened bodily harm to this character, which means that not only is she being written right, readers love Sami and Lucas together, and that is what’s most important.

    2: There was a recent scene with Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Roman (Drake Hogestyn) where Marlena used some very strong language towards Roman about the state of their marriage. How do you feel about her character behaving like that?

    A: For me and a lot of fans.......it’s about damn time! Marlena has been written like some damn damsel in distress for 10 years now, and from what I have seen, readers love the fact that she has regained her backbone and told Roman to f*** off if he can’t get his head straight. I feel she never lost it, but it was laying dormant for far too long. Look forward to more of this. Dee is very excited about her upcoming story, and so are we. She will be back were she should be, and we will NOT make the mistake of another soap who feels it is stupid to use veterans like her.

    3: Victor (John Aniston) and Stefano (Joe Mascolo) are front and center right now, and this Mafia War story has pushed these two great actors to the forefront. How is the response?

    A: Once again, the use of veterans. How can that ever be a bad thing? Nothing is wrong with using the younger set, but they always need to fit into the fabric of whatever story is being told for the vets. Soap opera executives and writers need to start listening to their true fans: vets bring in readers and ratings. These two performers have either been back burned for way too long or have been stuck in one stupid story after another on the other show they worked for. We changed that. We started this feud between them and the entire cast, and one point or another, have been involved. It’s a wonderful story to tell.......and stay tuned for the rest of it.

    4: Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) have gotten a lot of time together recently on the blog. Will this continue, and if so, why are you breaking up two great super couples?

    A: Who says we’re breaking them up? (laughs) We are telling story that has been under the surface for many years. It never cold be told before because both characters were with other people, and Stephen was gone for so long working on other daytime dramas. This is an opportunity, one which the readers seem to enjoy. Will it continue? Keep reading, my friends. (laughs)

    5: The blog seems to be hitting its stride. What is coming up?

    A: We are getting better in certain areas, but never forget this. There are many things where we can improve on, and I feel that if any writer is so arrogant that they feel his or her blog is on point all the time, you should stop writing. You always push yourself to do better than what you are doing now.........and you stop doing it when it is no longer fun. If anything, I hope and pray that the readers see we are having a lot of fun. The best thing about all of this? Reading responses from the readers of the blog. Giving them the stories THEY want to see, not the stories we want to see and being so arrogant that we won’t listen to what they have to say. Too much of that [!@#$%^&*] going on, where writers come off like the Vince McMahon of soaps, writing the stuff they want fans to have.

    We don’t do that. We try our best to tell compelling stories, and read the constructive feedback and apply it accordingly. We learn form what our readers say, and hopefully they see that in the blog.

    Catching Up With: Wayne Northrop

    We recently had time to sit down and ask Wayne Northrop (ex-Roman, ex-Stefano, ex-Wendell, SL) three questions on how he’s doing since leaving SL, what he thinks of the blog right now, and how he feels about Drake Hogestyn playing a role he created.

    Salem Lives Insider: Wayne, it’s great to see you again, sir! What brings you by SONBC Studios?

    Wayne Northrop: Well, I come by to see some old friends in the cast and on the crew, just to say hi. This place is really buzzing with some positive feedback, and everyone seems really excited about what is coming up.

    SLI: Question, Wayne. How do you feel about Drake taking on a role you started?

    WN: I have always felt fine with that. The same way I felt when Josh played the role. I’m not one of these actors who demands this and that. If it works out that I can play Roman, so be it. But my life is so full of richness and happiness right now, I just don’t see myself returning to SL or any soap. Drake played this role so well, and the fans love him to death. It’s his role now, and he’ll do what he does best........take the ball and sprint for the touchdown. With Dee’s help, how can he go wrong? (laughs)

    SLI: What do you think of SL right now?

    WN: Wow. That’s all I can say. Pat asked me back for a one-shot recently, and I just couldn’t turn that down. I know I said I don’t see myself coming back, but........you truly never know. Salem Lives is really doing some great things. The twists and turns and the fact that CHARACTERS are being written for, not couples, is really lighting this place on fire. I find my wife getting into it so much lately, and she is one who can’t be impressed easily. I love it, and hope they continue with what they are doing.

    SLI: What have you been up to?

    WN: Being lazy! (laughs) Working on my ranch, and just enjoying life. We worked hard to get to where we are, and we are just enjoying each other right now. It feels great to just sit on my porch and watch the sunset with the woman I love so much. You just don’t know. But, and this is a big but..........if the story is right, and the offer is right..........who knows? You may see old Wendell causing trouble on a show near you some day again.

    SLI: Thanks so much, Wayne. We do appreciate it.

    WN: Anytime.

    Breaking News!!!!!

    A highly placed source at SONBC Studios has revealed that Salem Lives has started filming very explosive scenes for episodes that will be posted in October and for November Sweeps. Many key stars have been brought in to film for the next four weekends and the studio is rumored to be shut down in the first week of November to film the start of story lines that will, in this source's opinion, "Change the face of Salem Lives for a long time to come." Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the inside source told SONBC that sets are being constructed and finances are being worked out for what is sure to be some huge and shocking events that fans are sure to love.

    Salem Lives will post normally, so no interruption will occur.

    OCTOBER 8, 2007: EPISODE # 345: SHELL-SHOCKED PART 2


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Elizabeth walks up to Jack, telling him that they need to be as close to a real family as possible. Billie, feeling left out, looks at Jack, who says nothing. He still can’t believe after all these years that he has a son. Then, Elizabeth says, now is the time to take advantage of that. Billie walks off in sadness and, as she rounds the corner, she bumps into Frankie. She asks him how Greta is doing and he tells her they almost lost her. Billie can’t believe it and hope she pulls through.

    Frankie does as well but then asks Billie what is wrong with her. She says that Jack just found out he has another son. Frankie is shocked. Billie says that now that Elizabeth has brought this out, she’s sure to latch on to Jack every chance she gets and has no problem using her son to get him. Frankie tells her that maybe she should tell Jack how she’s feeling and she agrees, saying there’s no better time than the present.

    When she walks back over, she sees Jack being hugged by Elizabeth as Alex watches and smiles. Elizabeth then steps back as Jack offers Alex a handshake and Alex accepts as they say they will see where things go from here. As they all smile at each other, Billie turns to Frankie and tells him that it will be on if Elizabeth tries to get close to Jack. As police officers walk by, making sure everything is safe, Billie stares at Elizabeth with anger as the scene slowly fades to black.

    Meanwhile, in his room, Lucas wants to know what game Joelle is playing. She smiles, saying that this is no game. He knows how he treated her at work and she intends to make him pay, not only for herself but for poor workers everywhere. Lucas practically spits in her face, saying that he will prove how much of a liar she really is. Will then tells her to back off before things get rowdy in the hospital. Maggie concurs. Joelle turns around surprised. Maggie asks her why she is surprised? Did she honestly think Lucas’ family would not be in his corner, defending him from some alley cat whore such as Joelle?

    Patricia then steps in, saying that she believes Joelle and will represent her and reminds them she is DA and that holds alot of weight. Patricia also doesn’t give one damn about the Horton name, especially when a Horton is involved in a sexual harassment case. Patricia then tells everyone that they will see them in court and that she can't wait to bring down one of the "perfect" Horton's. Maggie says she hopes Joelle gets off her street corner long enough to show up in court then asks if her pimp will be along with her. Joelle frowns as Patricia leads her out.

    Lucas and Will thank Maggie for sticking by them right now. Maggie says that’s what family is for. She then leans in and kisses Lucas and then kisses Will, saying that she saw Frankie in the hospital earlier. She going to go ask him if he would represent Lucas against this crap. As Maggie leaves a worried Lucas and Will.........

    Joelle stands out in the hallway with Patricia. She smiles when Patricia tells her that before she’s done, Lucas Horton will be walking around with a tin can begging for change for what he’s done to Joelle. Joelle smiles, saying that’s all she wants to hear.


    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    Victor sits at his desk, looking at a file on Orpheus. Nico walks in and asks him.......

    Nico: Sir, what will you do about Philip?
    Victor: Like I said.......teach him a lesson. He wants to turn his back on his heritage and sell out his own father for that slug-ass bastard? Well..........time to pay the piper.
    Nico: And how will that happen, sir?
    Victor: Let Bo know that I want Philip to have more responsibility at Titan. This way, Philip doesn't suspect anything. Time to make my son’s head swell with power..........

    Before I snatch the [!@#$%^&*] rug from out under him.

    Nico obeys Victor and calls Bo up on his cell phone, as Victor turns his chair and looks out the window. When Nico is done, he asks Victor.........

    Nico: Do you think this will get the point across, Victor?
    Victor: Nico............I love that boy more than my own life. Just as I love his brother and sisters. My children are why I have done what I have done for the past year. But, make no mistake. The little !@#$%^&*] made one HUGE mistake..........

    He crossed me. And no one..........NO ONE...........[!@#$%^&*] with Victor Kiriakis, is that clear?
    Nico: Very, sir.

    Nico leaves to make plans for not only Philip but for Orpheus as well............

    As the scene fades into...


    ORPHEUS'S HIGH RISE APARTMENT

    Kate is brought in by one of Orpheus’s men and sat on the plush couch. Orpheus then dismisses his guard as he walks over and takes off her blindfold. Kate fixes her hair as she looks at Orpheus, saying.........

    Kate: You didn’t need the blindfold. Thought we stopped using that years ago.
    Orpheus: My dear Kate.........still the same beautiful smart ass you were 30 years ago. How are you doing, my dear?
    Kate: Well, I’ll be fine when you tell me why you snatched me up like that.
    Orpheus: You looked like you needed a friend and since we have been very close friends in the past.........
    Kate: You thought it would be fine to kidnap me. You know that every cop in Salem is looking for you.
    Orpheus: Which means I’m very safe. They couldn’t find a piece of gum even if they were chewing it. No worries, my lady. You are safe here.
    Kate: You said the same words on our first night together.
    Orpheus: Well, you said you always wanted to do it with a spy. You should have been happy.
    Kate: Oh, my dear.........I was.

    Kate smiles and so does Orpheus. At that moment, a guard walks in and whispers something in his ear. Orpheus excuses himself and leaves the room but not before telling his man to watch Ms. Roberts.

    In her room, Sami has her ear to her door, listening to the guards talk about the guest that Orpheus has in his study. She then pauses for a moment and then starts banging on the door. The guards burst in, telling her that what she is doing will not work and for her to keep quiet. Sami grows very quiet as one of the guards pulls his gun. The guards leave Sami’s room as she sits on her bed and starts sighing deeply, thinking of another plan of escape.

    Kate grows restless sitting by herself reading a magazine and gets up to look around. In Sami’s room, Sami stands up and walks over to her window but goes to first switch her lamp on. She then gets a brainstorm. She looks at the door........and back at the lamp. Back in Orpheus’s study, Kate starts to walk down the hall, telling the guard that she has to use the bathroom. The guard lets her go.

    As Kate starts walking down the empty hallway, Sami picks up the lamp and smashes it on the floor. Kate hears the noise and stops in her tracks. She then looks around and sees a door down the hall. Kate starts walking towards the door as Sami goes to the door and listens for anyone who may be coming.

    Kate reaches the door and places her hand on the doorknob.........

    As Sami smiles on the other side, hoping that Orpheus’s guest heard her break the lamp.

    Kate puts her ear up to the door as Sami does the same thing and the screen splits in two as each woman stands on either side of the door........

    As the scene freeze-frames and then slowly fades to black.

    OCTOBER 15, 2007-EPISODE # 350: OF PASTS AND AGENDAS


    LOCAL NEIGHBORHOOD IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

    Tony, Steve, and Hope pull up to the house that fits the address they have for Liz. Tony tips the driver as they exit the cab. They then walk up to the door. Hope wonders if Liz has changed at all. Tony smiles and says he is sure she hasn't. He then takes a deep breath and rings the doorbell. There is no answer so Tony rings it again. Steve notices the window shades moving and says that someone is in the house. Tony begins to knock and yells out to Liz, telling her who is there. The door then slightly opens. Liz glanced from behind it as Tony smiles at her. The look of fear and worry on Liz's face turns into one of relief and joy as she then opens the door and embraces Tony and then Hope, saying it's been a long time.

    Hope and Tony tell Liz she looks well and ask if she remembers Steve. She says vaguely and welcomes them all in. Hope comments on how lovely her home is. Liz thanks her, saying it's just enough for her. Tony is shocked she never married again. Liz explains she focused on her career after she left Salem, which is why she kept the name "Curtis." It just fit better. She did that movie she left to do but her acting career never exactly took off so she went back to focusing on her singing. She tells them she is now the headliner at a local nightclub act downtown and is enjoying her work, other then the constant worrying. She then apologizes for being so hesitant to let them in. Tony tells her he knows she is worried about Stefano. Liz doesn't answer but Tony tells her it's ok. He knows that his mother entrusted her with a secret that could change the Dimera family forever.

    Liz smiles and tells Tony it all makes sense as to why he is there now. She admits to him she was beginning to think he would never find the clues that led to her, which is why she was more worried then ever of Stefano catching on first somehow. Tony assures her that Stefano has no idea of any of this yet but Tony tells her she must tell him everything before Stefano does learn of what is going on. Liz looks at Steve and Hope and tells them she hates to be rude but thinks it would be better if she talked to Tony alone. She made a promise to Daphne that she would share this with Tony and it would feel wrong if they were there. Hope says she understands.

    Tony tells Steve and Hope to go ahead to the airport since they will want to head for Salem immediately once they have the answers they need. Steve nods in agreement as Hope tells Liz she simply must come to Salem for a visit. Liz says she will once things calm down as it seems Salem isn't the safest place. Hope smiles and embraces Liz, saying she understands, especially with her involvement in the Dimera's business. Liz thanks her and tells Steve and Hope it was nice seeing them. They both echo that sentiment as they leave and tell Tony they will see him later.

    Once alone, Tony and Liz sit down. She asks if he wants some coffee. Tony smiles and says it's remarkable that they are able to be civil after their tension-filled marriage. Liz says that was ages ago and she knows he has changed. She also explains that she knows all about his horrible ordeal in captivity. She tells Tony she is so sorry. Tony thanks her. He then tells Liz that he would like very much to get down to business. Liz understands, saying she knows he is worried about Stefano finding out what he is up to and admits she is too. Tony promises her she will be protected. He will make sure of it.

    Meanwhile, outside, Hope finishes calling for a cab to the airport and notices Steve making a call of his own. She hears him asking for two tickets to New Orleans and asks what is going. Steve tells her there has been a change of plans. They are going back to Maison Blanche. An angry Hope tells him the hell they are as the scene shifts to...


    DEVERAUX HOUSE

    In the living room, Alex warns his mother that playing games like she is could be dangerous. Elizabeth reminds him that he has always longed for a better life. A life with a complete family and they all have a chance at that now. Alex reminds her they could've been a family years ago if she hadn't lied about not knowing who his father is, which he still doesn't understand the motivation behind. Elizabeth explains that she had her reasons and she isn't getting into them now. She tells him she is going to go see where Jack and Billie went and what is going on. As she prepares to leave, Alex tells her he needs to tell her one thing before she goes. Elizabeth turns and asks what is it.

    Alex: Obviously, I am still upset about you concealing the truth about my father from me so you need to be wise here, mother. By that, I mean using me just to snare Jack away from Billie is not a good idea. I will not be a pawn. Your choice! Just know, that if you choose to ignore my warning and end up dragging me into the middle of whatever plot you have in mind, so help me I am through with you. I will no longer have a mother. Understood?

    A stunned Elizabeth looks silently at Alex, turns, says she will be back soon, and leaves. Alex shakes his head in frustration as he watches her leave.


    SALEM PARK

    Jack chases after Billie and finally manages to catch up to her. He begs Billie to just stop and listen to him. Billie finally stops, reluctantly. Several officers are nearby. Jack asks if they would move away a bit so they can talk alone. The officers agree. Billie tells Jack she doesn't feel like talking or listening to him right now. Jack knows she is upset but begs her to listen to reason.

    Billie: Listen to reason? You took Elizabeth's side over mine just because you think she is this perfect image of what every woman should be!
    Jack: I never said. Alex acknowledged that his mother is not a violent person and, way back when, I knew her to be like that as well.
    Billie: People can change, Jack.
    Jack: Well, I don't see reason to believe she has. I think Elizabeth is right in that...
    Billie: Let me guess. In that I'm jealous, right? This is not about Alex being your son, Jack. This is about Elizabeth and the fact that she has changed. She came right out and told me she has and that all her years of being alone hardened her. She told me she was going to pull out all the stops to make you all hers. She told me that right to my face, Jack!!
    Jack: Well, I don't know what to say. Uh...is there...is there a possibility you are exaggerating or that you took her words out of context?
    Billie: DAMNIT, JACK!!! It's pretty clear we have a bigger problem here then Elizabeth. You refuse to listen to a word I say! Your in denial and your...ugh!! What the hell is wrong with you? Ever since you found out Alex was yours...
    Jack: I know I blew you off earlier and that is why your upset but...
    Billie: THAT ISN'T IT!!! YOUR NOT LISTENING!!!
    Jack: WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?! WHAT AM I MISSING?
    Billie: YOUR NOT HEARING ME!! Your choosing to hear what you want to and to see what you want to. You don't want to believe what I'm saying is true.
    Jack: I don't understand. I don't understand what you want from me!
    Billie: Clearly! What I want is for you to remember those words you said to me on the ship. Those same words you repeated to me in that cave on the island. I was dying and you told me how much you loved me. You put your heart out on the line right there and it was then that I realized we had something worth taking a chance on...worth fighting for. Then here comes Elizabeth and Alex and we still seem to be on track until you learn, without a doubt, that Alex is your son.
    Jack: Right. See, I knew it was jealously. Billie, that's ok...
    Billie: I'm not jealous. I want Alex to be a part of your life. A big part of it. This is about the fact that you aren't seeing what is going on here. Elizabeth is using the situation to get close to you. She is using it to break us up and you keep seeing it her way. You keep seeing it as me being upset or jealous all because she told you that was the case.
    Jack: I think we better just calm down. Maybe we should talk in the morning so cooler heads can prevail.
    Billie: Fine but nothing will change. We will still be at this same place, Jack. Until you get out of your world of denial and start listening to me... all I want is for you to at least consider what I am saying and to just look into it. At the very least, that would show me something that will give me hope. Alex is important to you and rightfully show. Elizabeth is his mother and that means you two will forever have a connection but that does not make then a package deal. You have a close relationship with your son without catering to Elizabeth and falling right into her trap. Jack, I think a part of you thinks getting closer to Elizabeth will help you bond with Alex and that isn't the case. He is a grown man. He doesn't need his parents together. He just needs you both in his life. You understand what I mean?

    Jack turns and stands in silence. Elizabeth arrives and watches from a distance, trying to also stay out of sight of the officers.

    Billie: Jack?
    Jack: I will take what you said into consideration. I'll call you in the morning. Good night.

    Jack walks off as Billie calls out to him.

    Billie: Damnit, Jack. You just refuse to see it. You don't want to see it. You can't accept what I am saying as the truth. Oh, Jack, if you don't rise above this insane sense of denial...there's no hope for us. Elizabeth will be the end of us (fights back tears).

    Meanwhile, Jack walks by Elizabeth, who comes up behind him, saying she was worried about him after what happened. She asks if he is ok. Jack tells Elizabeth he is fine but he wants to be alone so he would appreciate it if Alex and her took off. He will call them tomorrow. Elizabeth understands and asks once again if he is ok. Jack nods and says he just needs to get some fresh air and to think. Elizabeth bids him good night and says she will call him in the morning. As she walks off, she looks back at Jack and smiles as the scene shifts too...


    MALIBU, CALIFORNIA

    Dr. Dobbs is talking to Abby through the door, begging her to come out of her room. Abby asks if he was in on this sick plan too. Dr. Dobbs tells her that Forrest and him just want to talk to her. They don't want to hurt her in any way. Abby tells them she wants the truth and will come out if they give it to her. Dr. Dobbs looks at Forrest and tells him he doesn't have a choice. Forrest sighs deeply and tells Abby he will tell her the truth. He will tell her everything. Abby then slowly opens the doors to make sure everything is on the up and up and then slowly wheels out. Forrest motions to her to follow him.

    They enter the living room of the beach house. Forrest sits on the couch and Abby wheels over. Dr. Dobbs sits nearby. Abby reminds him she wants to know everything. Forrest says he will tell her everything and tells her it all starts with his childhood. Abby asks him if he means when he was presumed to have drowned. Forrest nods, saying that the whole sordid tale began on that very day.


    LOCAL NEIGHBORHOOD IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

    Hope tells Steve she isn't going to Maison Blanche. She reminds him they have to wait for Tony and they promised him they would help. They also can't take the risk of Stefano being on their tails. She adds that there is a good chance that Maison Blanche is crawling with security after their last visit. Steve thinks she is right but they can work around that. He tells they have to get to the truth. Hope tells him they already pretty much know Chelsea is their daughter and that they developed feelings for each other while imprisoned together. There isn't much else to learn. She tells him they can have a DNA test done on him and Chelsea to determine the truth once and for all.

    Steve: Your afraid. I know you are.
    Hope: I'm not afraid. I am just sick of this. Being away from my family, lying to my husband...I want it to stop.
    Steve: So do I but we need to do this, Hope. I heard about what happened when you investigated your past before and I know it led to some nasty things.
    Hope: No kidding. I lost yet another year of my life. I'm not going down that road again. I'm not getting lost in the past.
    Steve: I don't blame you but we both know there is still things missing from our memory banks (points to his head). We're always going to wonder what that is. We'll feel incomplete without whatever that is.
    Hope: I'll live.
    Steve: Well, I won't. Hope, I don't know much of anything about my missing years and this could be just the tip of the iceberg for me. If not for yourself, do it for me. We've been friends for a long time and I know it's a risk. I know your afraid of what might happen for many reasons. Your a strong woman. One of the strongest I know. We'll do this together. We''ll get through it together. I know if you look insider yourself you will see that this is right. That we have to do this. We have to.

    Hope is silent.

    Steve: Come on, sweet thing. You know I'm right. You know you will always wonder if there is more to all this. Your a cop. The curious part of you wants to know. I mean, who knows. We may learn something that can help us bring down the Dimera empire. You never know. You never know unless we give it a whirl. So, what do you say, pal? I'm not doing this without you. We were in this together then and we will be in this together now.

    Hope turns toward Steve.

    Steve: So, can we do this?

    Hope turns away for a moment and then takes a deep breath and says she better not regret this. Steve tells her she won't. She then tells Steve let's do this. He thanks her and says he will call and get them flight. Hope says she will call Tony since she doesn't want to go in if Liz and him are in the thick of things. Steve agrees that is the right way to go. Hope begins to dial and prays she isn't making a mistake.

    Meanwhile, inside the house, Liz tells Tony she appreciates the offer but doesn't need protection. Tony insists and says it would make him feel better. Liz smiles. Tony tells Liz to go ahead and begin to tell him about the long lost child his mother had. Just then, Tony's phone rings. It's Hope, who fills him in on the plan for her and Steve to head to New Orleans. Hope tells Tony she hopes he understands. Tony says he does and thanks them for all they have done and tells Hope to call if her or Steve need anything. Hope thanks him and says they will and promises to catch up to him once they are all back in Salem, unless they need anything. Tony wishes her and Steve luck and then hangs up. Tony tells Liz that Steve and Hope have to go. Liz wishes she didn't have to send them away but says she just wants to hold to her promise to Daphne. Tony says they understand and so does he. He tells her she can always come for a visit.

    Tony sits back down and tells Liz to go ahead and tell him the secret his mother entrusted her with. The secret that concerns his long lost half-sibling. Liz takes a deep breath and tells Tony she will and that it's a long time coming. The scene then freeze frames on Tony as he waits for Liz to begin to give him the answers he has been searching for and then the scene fades to black.

    4 MORE STARS OUT!!! 2 MORE TO GO!!!

    As previously reported, 6 more exits were expected at Days this week. 4 were expected on the Monday June, 19, 2006 episode and two more reportedly happen tomarrow. Here is the latest exits that occured on the June 19, 2006 episode:



    Alice Horton (Francis Reid): Quite possibly the most shocking death/exit of all. The actress had been "killed" off in 2004 by her very own donuts but was revealed alive like many other beloved characters in the SSK plot. This time, however, she met her maker for real by poisoned coffee. Insiders report she will still make appearances on holidays and the like as a angel. Reid took the news in stride and was happy to still be a part of the show in some capacity. Reid was the last original cast member and began her run on the show 40 years ago with the show's first episode in 1965.



    Mickey Horton (John Clarke): The actor, who returned in May for a limited run to tie up loose ends after John Ingle (who replaced Clarke in the role) left, is out. The show decided to write out the character permanently and brought Clarke back to close things out. It is said that this is also being done to free up the character of Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) for a new storyline in the works. Clarke retired from the show previously in 2004 and the character of Mickey has been a presence on the show since it began in 1965.



    Max Brady (Darin Brooks): This exit came as a shock as the actor was well-received and well-liked. He was also in a relationship with Chelsea Brady (Rachel Melvin). It is not known why Brooks was axed other then show insiders maintaining they want to focus on a much smaller cast.



    Philip Kiriakis (Kyle Brandt): This exit was expect as Bradnt had announced his exit a few weeks ago. It is shocking nonetheless as many thought the show may bring back Jay Johnson to reprise the role or recast the role yet again since the character is embroiled in the Cliare paternity story. However, two of the major players in that story (Shawn and Mimi Brady) are already out so that may have played a role in killing the character off. It is said this will lead to major story for Belle (Martha Madison) and Victor (John Aniston). Brandt's voice was last heard on the phone with Victor on the June 16, 2006 episode as that was his last official airdate.

    Fans should expect two exits tomarrow to wind down the end of the casting exodus. Now the question is why keep who is left? What happens to who is left? Who may return? All those questions and more will be answered soon. Show insiders assure fans to just hang in there as their patience will be rewarded.

    THEY ARE ALL ALIVE...AGAIN!!!



    Days fans learned last Friday that Carrie Brady (Christie Clark) was alive and on Melaswen. On the Friday June 30 show, they learned she was not alone. That's right-Days has pulled another ruse and is bringing back all the presumed dead faves that have died in the past few weeks. This is said to be the reason why the show did not comment on the happenings of the past few weeks. Turns out there was no casting bloodbath-at least not yet (cast changes will be made this summer though) and that all the actors from the first victim James Reynolds (Abe) to the last victims Caroline and Shawn Brady (Peggy McKay and Frank Parker). Brock Pierce (Josh) will not be returning as his character has been written off and is really dead. Days fans should tune in for THE BIGGEST TWIST OF ALL THIS WEDNESDAY JULY 5 BEFORE DAYS BREAKS FOR WIMBLEDON. IT IS HUGE!!! (keep an eye out this week for promos and previews of this huge Days event).

    In other news, no word on the status of Kyle Brandt (Philip), who announced he was leaving in April but signed to finish up story. Fans know that he was one of the characters beleived dead but was not revealed alive on June 30. Days has no comment. Melissa Reeves, who also announced her intentions to leave, is set to depart this August. The show has moved her exit up for story purposes so look for a dramatic exit later this summer.

    No word also on John Clarke (Mickey), who only returned short term to finish the character's run. Days says the character will be featured in a limited fashion for the time being but won't elaborate at this point.

    Deidre Hall (Marlena) rumors continue to fly as the charcter continues to descend into madness. Days fans should look for Marlena to completely lose it in the weeks ahead, which will lead to a huge conclusion in this story by mid-summer. Hall's contract is up in August and there has been no comment on either front about her status yet.

    Fans should also watch out on Wednesday July 5 for the reveal of Carrie (Christie Clark) and Sami's (Alison Sweeney) stalker.

    Also, be on the lookout for an exclusive interview with the HW of Days (me LOL) about all the recent happening on the show.     MASTERMIND REVEALED: IT'S ERNESTO!!!

    Fans learned on the Wednesday July 5 cliffhanger show that the mastermind behind the first and current Captive Island is Ernesto Toscano. Charles Cioffi, who was the last actor to play the role in 1990 when Ernesto supposedly "died" with Hope Brady in a explosion over a vat of acid, is once again playing the role.

    Fans also had their predictions confirmed when Carrie and Sami Brady's (Christie Clark and Alison Sweeney)stalker was revealed to be Alan Harris, who is once again being played by Paul Kersey. Alan was last seen shortly after being shot in the groin by Sami.

    It has also been confirmed that Eric Winter and Alexis Thorpe are returning to their roles as twin sibs Rex and Cassie Brady for a limited run. It is widely rumored that Thrope may stay long-term but Winter's return seems set to be short term. Fans were shocked when they heard of Cassie's presence on the island on July 3 and now they know why. Winter is expected to first appear July 11 and Thorpe sometime after.

    Shawn and Mimi "SHIMI" out of Salem!!!



    HW Tim Lowery and EP Ned Yadroc hinted about an exit being announced this week and now it has been confirmed. Jason Cook (Shawn Brady) and Farah Fath (Mimi Brady) will be leaving the show in late August-early September. Cook's exit is by his own accord but Fath was released as the show decided to move in a new direction. The show had no comment other then to confirm both exits and to warn that some more exits may be on the way but nothing like the fake bloodbath of last month. The rumor is that several stars won't make it back from the island and it seems that Missy Reeves (Jennifer) and Kyle Brandt's departures are included in those exits.

    Rumors are also swirling about Deidre Hall (Marlena), Her contract is up next month and the show will not comment on negotiations or her status. Her character's current story also has her fans worried.

    Orange Ships Out Of Salem!!!


    Tek's DAYS are up!!

    Monday July 24 marked the final apperance for Rhasaan Orange as Thomas Edward Karmer, or the ISA agent/Salem PD detective better known as TEK. Orange has fluctuated between recurring and contract since May 2003 when he joined the show as the ISA protegee' of John Black (Drake Hogestyn). The exit is storyline dictated as the character's story was now finished. "The fans know about his past and we just felt there was nowhere to go with him. This gives Abe, Lexie, and Celeste lots of story and clears some pace on the canvas," notes executive producer Ned Yadroc. "We love Rhasaan and the actor and character were well-recieved but it was just his time to go."

    In other news, as fans learned on July 19, Shawn Brady Sr appears to be gone for real. Days has confirmed that Frank Parker is no longer with the show and last aired on July 19. "It was heartbreaking but Frank has had health problems and was never used a whole lot. His exit gives us huge story for the Brady's and sets up the Victor/Caroline story fans have wanted. We hate to lose Frank but this benefits us in the long run," says Yadroc.

    Keep an eye out this week for more departures as two more deaths are expected this week and sources say another may come early next week. This, along with the heavily promoted tearjerker shows for Friday and Monday, have fans worried about who may be off the show next as part of this real cast purging.

    It has also been confirmed that a popular actor at Days has been downgraded to recurring, effective September 1. Expect an announcement soon.

    DAYS STUNNER: DEIDRE HALL OUT!!!


    Dee's Days are done as Marlena...for now.

    Rumors has been swirling for weeks about the status of Deidre Hall. Her contract with the show was known to be up in August 2006 and it was that, along with Hall's character Marlena Evans Black's descent into madness, that had fans worried about her future. It appears they had reason to worry as Hall has been released from the show. Her last airdate was July 31 but rumor has it she may appear here and there in the next few weeks/months, potentially as a vision. This has sent shockwaves throughout the industry and the cast as Hall is one of Daytime's, and TV's for that matter, most recognizable characters. Hall has been with the show for 30 years with a a break in between during the late 80's. Why get rid of one of the most historic and popular characters on the show? "Deidre knew back when the new regime began in May," says executive producer Ned Yadroc. "The cast knew and we told Deidre we felt the character needed to be rested and with her contract being up it was a good opportunity. We know fans will be upset, especially since they fell Marlena should be there for the Roman fiasco and for Rex and Cassie as they are now known to be her children, but we want go in a different direction right now. We feel, in some ways, these stories will benefit from Marlena being off the canvas. John can rediscover himself if he is Roman and we can focus on the great wealth of characters we have. Marlena has been played out in alot of ways and sometimes it falls on us to make a difficult decision like this. Dee was very happy with her final months of story as it was challenging and drew a great deal from Marlena's history. All of us at the show were pleased as we made the deaths of Jennifer and Marlena huge epic events to put a finaly stamp on the island story and throw the show into a different era. This is where our new regime really takes hold as our stories are starting to take shape. There are no hard feeliing and she will miss us as we all will miss her." Could the actress return? "Of course. In fact, we know she will be back. I told Dee she would be. I have an idea when but won't say it. Does it mean she will be back as Marlena? No. She may be back as someone else. I am not saying. The fans should just enjoy the ride we have in store and wait and see. Dee will be back but Marlena is dead at this point. Could she and will see come back? I don't know but Dee will be back in some capacity. It just may not be as Marlena," says Yadroc.

    In additional news, the character of Will is being recasted. Christopher Gerse is out. "Our regime never used him since we came on board in May," says Yadroc. "Nothing against Chris but he doesn't fit as will for me and I sense that from the fans. There are plans for will so we are asking for some imput from the fans on who they would like to see in this role. There is some big stuff planned so it will need to be someone capable and between 16-20 years old." Look for Will to not appear for the rest of the summer as the show won't bring Will back until casting is finished.

Bo reminds Hope that everyone is accusing him before they know anything and they are looking at him like he has 3 heads for wanting to protect Chelsea when the law doesn't. Bo tells Hope those men deserved to die but it doesn't mean he killed them. Roman says to Bo that everything he says almost hints around a confession of sorts. He asks Bo to give him a statement. Bo tells Roman he has a statement-he is through with him and with everyone else here. If they can't all see he is justified in taking matters into his own hands then they don't give a damn about justice or him and his daughter. Roman mentions to Bo that what he just said sounds like he is admitting involvement in the murders once again. Bo says he thought about killing them at one point but he merely want to catch them and get the truth out of them. He would beat the hell out of them but that is it. Roman says even that thought is a bad idea. Bo asks Roman what he would do. Sami was raped once and Bo is sure Roman wanted to kill Alan for it. Roman says he didn't know he was Roman then but sees Bo's point. He tells Bo it is still wrong and even beating the men to a pulp is wrong. Roman admits he may think the same way but he would find the strength to control himself and go by the book. Bo says he is through going by the book-he is through with everything. He is not going to let his daughter or anyone else he loves get hurt because they have to do things by the book. Frankie interupts and tells Bo he can represent him. Bo tells Frankie he doesn't need any help from anyone. He is through. His family can't seem to understand and they beleive so easily he would resort to murder it makes him wonder. He runs off. Hope goes after him. Dpug and Julie try to stop her as Bo needs to cool off but Hope goes anyway.

    -Caroline is approached by Victor. Caroline says it all is falling apart. Victor notes that Caroline is going to say it started with their affair. Caroline agrees and blames Victor for encouraging Bo tonight to turn against him family and be a vigilante. Victor says he never did anything like that and that Bo is thinking on his own, despite Victor agreeing with him. Caroline can't beleive Victor has become what he swore he would never become again. Victor says he had no choice-he can't be a pathetic old geezer anymore. He needs to be ruthless and get the message out that Victor Kiriakis will strike back and do anything to protect his loved ones. Caroline says she can't condone the actions Victor is taking. Lexie already nearly got killed. Victor reminds Caroline there is no proof he caused that explosion. Caroline knows he did and is disappointed in him resorting to this and to justify it as saying he is protecting his loved ones is ridiculous. Victor explains that maybe it is besy they don't see each other as he can't have her getting in the way and judging him left and right. Victor explains that this is who he really is, not that pod Victor of the last 10 or so years. He has to do what is necessary-even if that means losing Caroline's respect. Caroline understands and asks if Victor is turning his back on her. Victor says apparently he is-he is turning his back on her and her family as they will do nothing but get in the way of what he needs to do. He says he has to do what is necessary. Caroline says she doesn't know who he is anymore and runs off. Victor privately says he is sorry but that he has to do this. Maggie, who has been overhearing, appears and asks if Victor is ok. Victor says as long as everyone he cares about is protected he will be. Doug and Julie see Maggie and Victor talking and are concerned about what may be going on as it seems Maggie is headed back in Victor's orbit right when he is returning to the underworld.

    -Belle tries to reach out to Shanw but he rejects her by giving her the cold shoulder. Finally, he says goodbye to Doug and Julie and tells them to tell his parents he went home to start packing as he is leaving tomarrow. Doug and Julie are proud of him and say they will be there to see him off and will tell everyone where he went. Shawn looks at Belle and then walks off. Belle tearfully heads for the elevator saying she can't be around people while going through this. She leaves.

    -Billie and Kate are caring for Chelsea, who seems to be having nightmares about the trauma she has endured. Max is outside. Abby knows he wants to go in. Max doesn't know if he should. Abby says she will go with him. They walk in as Chelsea wakes up to see Billie, Kate, Max, and Abby all there. She remembers the rape and all the awful things she was called. Chelsea grabs her head and starts yelling "No!!" Billie asks what is wrong. Chelsea tells them all to just get the hell out of her room. She doesn't want them there as she knows no one wants her. She is a lying and manipulative bitch as well as a whore. She is dirty and feels like scum. She doesn't deserve anyone. Max says he knows about her rape and it's ok. He just wants to be there for her. Chelsea tells them all to just leave. A nurse comes in and sedates her. They all leave where the nurse tells them to stay out until the doctor clears visitors again when Chelsea is calm. Billie is worried about her daughter and if she can make it through this. Kate comforts her. Abby reaches out to Max but he asks to be alone and walks off. Jack comes over and mentions that Abby must really like Max. Abby insists they are just friends. Jack says that she seems to want something more. Abby says maybe but she doesn't know if he does or if wants to make things work with Chelsea even though he broke up with her. Jack says he likes Max and it would be ironic considering Frankie and Jennifer. He encourages Abby to go after him but don't obsess. There are other men and he warns her to not set herself up for a fall. She promises not to. They hug. Max is on the roof thinking about Chelsea. He begins to lash out on why she has to go through what she is. He asks God to make Chelsea let him in so he can help. He wants to help and needs to. Frankie joins him and says that Max will get his chance. Max, who is holding back tears, and Frankie embrace as Frankie comforts him. Max breaks down in tears and repeatedly asks why this is happening as Frankie shrugs to say he has no clue.

    -Austin, Lucas, and Sami aid in the search for Carrie. They wonder where Shane went. Shane then comes out of nowhere in the woods. Lucas asks where he has been. Shane says he has news and they need to call Roman. They all gather at the search command center. Roman arrives asking what is up. Shane gives Roman a letter he says is from Carrie. It explains that Alan was released from prison and mistakenly ended up on the island where they all were. He saved her life as the life of her and her baby were in danger and he brought her to a cabin near Green Mountain where he nursed her back to health and protected her as they still felt danger could be possible from the masterminds behind the island. She did not trust Alan before but she does now. She left the cabin last night to call home to meet them. Alan saved her life by pushing her out of the way of falling debris. Roman notes to himself that this is the cause of the torn jacket and blood. Carrie also explains how, given her trouble conceiving and the baby possibly heaving health problems as a result of her medical issues, she had to leave them all behind. She just couldn't take the pressure of raising her child in Salem as it may not be totally healthy and she just can't be around them all right now. She has mroe reasons but doesn't wish to discuss them. She says Alan is gone and that she plans to travel the world with the baby and spend time with her mother. Austin and Lucas ask Roman what the note says. He privately tells them the parts about Alan and then tells Sami everything minus the Alan stuff. Austin and Lucas are stunned and don't think this makes sense for Carrie. They agree something else is going on. Roman agrees and he asks Shane what is really up. Meanwhile, Carrie is tending to Alan and she tells Alan she is so happy Shane agreed to help. She just hopes everyone buys it as she couldn't come up with anything else. Alan thanks her for taking care of everything. Carrie says he did it for her and now she is returning the favor. She kisses his forehead as he smiles.

    -Doug and Julie bump into an upset Caroline. They ask her what is wrong. She says it's Victor-he has returned to form. Julie asks if that means the "old" ruthless Victor. Caroline nods. Julie is worried about Maggie now.

    -Victor tells Maggie they have to talk about what she saw. He drags her off but she tells Victor as he pulls her with him that she knows he didn't kill the men and that they were dead when he got there. She does know he intended to kill them and brought Nico with him. Victor says she is right. Maggie asks him why he didn't tell the police the story. Victor says he had his reasons. Maggie asks Victor, since he was on the scene before her since hse lagged behind, if he saw who killed Jason and Barry. Victor is silent.

    -Hope catches up to Bo and begs him to listem. Bo insists he is through listening to everyone. They all don't beleive in him and are willing to support a system that lets two men out of jail to hurt his daughter again and endanger others. He tells Hope that none of this happens if she just tells him right away. Hope says Victor could've too but Bo says she is his wife and that is what hurts. He can't trust her. Hope says she can't trust him and she says he is right as she is one that didn't beleive in him and followed the same pattern tonight. She believed too easily he slept with Billie and now she instantly jumps to support the theory that Bo killed Jason and Barry. Bo says if Hope had not interupted and just let him do what he had to they would never have been free. Hope says she thought he would kill them as Bo tells Hope she beleives the same thing now. Hope says they have major issues. Bo says they have too many. Hope mentions Shawn and that he is most likely leaving town because the family is falling apart. Bo guesses that Hope is blaming that on him. She admits partly she is because he lied about Zack's death and to protect Chelsea. Bo says that Hope seems to be getting past her ill feelings towards Chelsea but now, given how she kept Chelsea's rape a secret and interupted him with Jason and Barry, he wonders if Hope is taking pleasure out of Chelsea's pain. Hope can't beleive he would say that and accuse her of that just as Bo wonders how she could instantly accuse him of sleeping with Billie in February and of killing those two men tonight. Hope says they just don't seem to know or trust each other anymore. Bo agrees and says this must be it. Hope asks if Bo is saying they are through. Bo says it seems that way and, after hesistation, says they are through. There is too much damage and he has lost faith in everything, including their relationship. He tells Hope it's over. Hope is stunned and asks if it is for good. Bo answers yes and that it is for good. Tears stream down Hope's eyes as Bo seems to be fighting back tears of his own and then he walks away. Hope starts to follow but then breaks down crying and crumples to the floor. Bo goes in the stairwell and privately breaks down.

    -Billie and Kate watch Chelsea and wonder who did kill Jason and Barry. Billie says she hopes it was Victor but Bo was so mad and Chelsea was missing. Billie refuses to beleive Chelsea did it...or Bo. Kate and her go get some coffee. Abe approaches them and says they have a break in the murder case but it isn't good news. Billie asks what it is. Abe says that the gun used for the murders belonged to Bo. Meanwhile, a sedated Chelsea is have nightmares about both of her rapes and being beaten and verbally abused by the men. Chelsea says repeatedly that they had to pay and then says they did pay...with their lives. Chelsea flashes back in her sleep to breaking into Bo's car in the hospital lot and stealing the gun from his holster in the secret compartment of the glove compartment (where she remembers he had one in case of emergencies). We then see her find Jason and Barry only to shoot them both twice and kill them. Chelsea wakes up from the flashback and nightmares and says no one can know she killed them as the screen fades to black and the credits roll.
