    The MCF is in her or her secret hideaway in the warehouse office. He or she is monitoring the happens in Salem via the surveilance center. His or her cell phone rings.

    MCF (via voice changer): Yes?
    James: It's me. Just wanted to make sure everything is on track.
    MCF: Should be. Cassie has her orders. She will meet you at the Deveraux house this evening. Remember to make sure to have her write the note and leave it. Also, make sure Alan and yourself are wearing those masks. Cassie is a loose cannon and we shouldn't take chances on her IDing you or Alan.
    James: Fair enough. I will contact you when we arrive at the house.
    MCF: Very well. Make sure the house is completely ranshacked. We need to send a message to Jack and Billie...one that will make them realize how serious the situation is. One that will make them back off. If they still choose to pursue destroying our operation. then we will have to seek more extreme measures.
    James: Will do. We will speak later.

    James hangs up as the MCF turns her or her attention to the surveilance monitors. One monitor catches the interest of the MCF...and that one is the one of the Kiriakis Mansion. Philip is there alone. The MCF turns the volume up and listens in.

    Philip: Some father...I know mom doesn't have what is needed to help me but he could. All he is worried about is Maggie and that damn cloaked person. It's always something else with him. What else do I have to do to prove I am worthy to have more power. I mean, he doesn't let me do anything else. He won't let me help with his business dealings. He may have helped me out of some scrapes in the past but now when I really need him...when my daughter needs him...he abandons us. Here I am trying to be a family with my daughter and my wife...something that will make our family look good...and he completely disregards my pleas and requests. Well, father, I guess I know where we stand.

    The MCF is watching a frustrated Philip talk to himself and then sees him throw a picture of him and his father to the ground.

    MCF: Interesting...I was going to go in another direction when it came to Victor but this may be better. Philip may be of big help to me. So much anger in him...so much that I can manipulate to my advantage. Hmm...what better way to get revenge on Victor then to use his own son to do it. It couldn't be more perfect.

    The MCF laughs as the screen fades into...

Also, make sure to keep commenting and to those who keep forgetting to submit trivia---I am sending them to you now via PM so forgetting is no longer an excuse . This game is going to be a landslide if others don't start submitting so PLEASE SUBMIT TRIVIA AND KEEP COMMENTING!! I understand things come up but things have bee relatively dead in regards to the game since early April and only Tishy seems to be keeping up so if anyone has a problem please PM me and we will make adjustments as needed.

    -At the Pub, Austin asks Carrie what she is up to. Carrie says she feel horrible about her actions at Salem Place the other day and wants to make it up to Nicole by watching Evan. She points out that it will be good for her as she needs to move on and it will prove she can be around Evan without problems. Austin isn't so sure it's a good idea given what Carrie's been through but she begs him to let her do this. She feels she is up to it and that it will be good for her. Austin finally gives in and says he will call Nicole. Carrie thanks him and embraces him.

    -In her Salem Inn suite, Nicole is feeding Evan when her cell rings. She answers it and is shocked to hear the MCF on the other end. The MCF tells Nicole that he or she has a request for her. Nicole is reluctant but the MCF reminds her of the consequences of her defiance. Nicole agrees to do what he or she asks. There is then a knock at the door. The MCF tells Nicole to answer the door. Nicole gets up with Evan and answers the door to find a Salem Inn employee there.

    The employee tells Nicole a messae just came for her and hands her the envelope. Nicole tips the employee as he then leaves. Nicole asks the MCF what's in the envelope. The MCF tells her to open it so she does...and finds another envelope only with Marlena's name on it and not hers. Nicole asks what gives. The MCF gives her instructions to find a way into the psych ward to deliver that envelope to Marlena. Nicole asks how she is supposed to do that. The MCF tells her to figure it out herself using her crafty mind and then reminds her of what will happen if she doesn't do as instructed. Nicole says she knows. The MCF is pleased and then hangs up.

    Moments later, Nicole gets a call from Austin. Austin explains that Carrie and himself would like to babysit Evan. He tells Nicole that Carrie feels bad for what happened at Salem Place and Austin admits he still feels bad for interrogating her. They want to make it up to her so he begs her to let them. He feels it will be good for all of them to lift the tension between them. Nicole, realizing saying no may make people suspicious and realizing she needs a sitter so she can deliver the envelope, agrees despite knowing Carrie is Evan's real mother. Nicole asks where Austin is. Austin says he will meet her outside the Pub. This way she doesn't have to run into Eric inside the Pub. Nicole thanks him for considering that and says she will be right over. They both hang up and Austin tells Carrie it's a go. Carrie thanks him again and they kiss.

    Meanwhile, Lucas and Sami are with Eric talking at the Pub. Sami is still concerned over Will. Lucas promises her that they will find out everything and that they will protect their son. If Alan hurt him, they will both make him pay. Eric thinks about Nicole and thinks that may be it's time he stepped up his game and began to look into what she may be up to and the suspicious surrounding her.

    At the bar, Kayla walks up and shows a cold look to Roman. Caroline notices it and tells them to cut it out. She is sick of all this tension. Caroline says it's a time of forgiveness and she thinks they all need to start following that before it's too late. Kayla isn't sure they can happen now...or, maybe, ever. Caroline's eyes light up as she says she has an idea.

    Hope sees Bo outside the Pub and goes outside. She asks if he is ok. He says he is fine. He asks where JT is. Hope says he is coloring at one of the tables. Hope seems to have something on her mind but is hesistant until she finally decides to come out with it. Hope tells Bo that she noticed a whole lot of tension in the Pub, just like she did the day he disappeared. Hope notes that Caroline is acting something is tearing the family apart. If there is, Hope tells Bo she wants to know and has the right to know what it is. Bo is silent.

    -At Univeristy Hospital, Julie is visiting a comatose Doug. She is saying a prayer, begging God to forgive her sins and bring her husband back to her. Maggie shows up and has overheard. She tells Julie she says that same prayer everyday. They embrace as Julie asks her how she is. Maggie says she can't take the guilt. It's eating away at her. Julie says she knows the feeling. It's been tough with all these lies and deciets on top of Marie's death and Doug being comatose. Maggie thinks all the bad things happening is an omen. She can't take it anymore and tells Julie she needs to confess!! They both do!! Julie is stunned.

    -Austin is waiting outside the Pub when Nicole arrives with Evan. She gives Austin a diaper bag and the stoller and says everything is there. She thanks him as she has many errands to run. Austin thanks her as well. He tells Nicole that Carrie and him just wanted to make it up to her. Nicole appreciates that and says she must go. She thanks Austin again and leaves.

    Austin enters the Pub with Evan. Eric comes over and greets him. Eric asks if Nicole was there. Austin explains that Carrie and him are babysitting while Nicole runs errands. They are just trying to make it up to her for the way they treated her. Carrie sees Evan and smiles at him. She walks over and picks him up. Carrie then lovingly embraces him as Austin asks if she is ok. Carrie says she is fine. She then takes Evan and walks around the Pub with him. Eric asks Austin if he really thinks she is ok. Austin says he isn't sure.

    Meanwhile, Nicole arrives at the Univeristy Hospital psych ward and says she is there to visit Marlena Evans. The nurse tells her that Dr. Evans is under a "No Visitor" order right now. Barbara comes out and asks Nicole who she is. Nicole explains she is her daughter in law and just wanted to see her and tell her about her son and the goings on in their lives. Barbara says that Marlena isn't supposed to see anyone but not many have been coming to see her since visitors weren't encouraged. Barbara explains that only Roman has been coming alot so, given all that, Barbara tells Nicole she is welcome to come in but not for long. Nicole thanks her and follows her down a long, dimly lit hallway. They stop at Marlena's padded cell.

    Nicole notices Barbara isn't leaving and asks for some time alone with Marlena. Nicole says she doesn't feel comfortable talking about her and Eric's business in front of a stranger. Barbara asks Nicole what she is going to talk about with Marlena. Nicole says that she is only discussing her and Eric's marriage, the child they adopted, and so on. Barbara tells her to keep it short and to only mention what she just ran by her. Marlena must not get agitated. Nicole agrees. Barbara leaves as Nicole looks in to see Marlena, in a straightjacket, coldly staring at her. A evil grin then graces her face as she says, "Hello, Nicole."

    -Back at the Pub, Caroline suggests to Roman and Kayla that maybe they should forgive Shane and Kim. If they set an example, others might follow. Roman tells Caroline this isn't second grade. Kayla agrees and says there is just too much lies and deceit to deal with. First, Roman and Bo, along with Shane, lie about an ISA investigation that put their family through hell. Secondly, Shane exposed Carrie and Will to Alan, whom they aren't sure has changed. Thirdly, Kim and Roman kept the truth about Bo's molestation hidden from Bo and the family for years. It's just too much. Caroline mentioned her secret being exposed last summer and how it killed Shawn Sr.

    Roman tells her not to blame herself. Caroline says she does and that she set a poor example for all of them. Even if one's children are adults, you still have to set examples for them. Kayla agrees with Caroline but just isn't sure if she can forgive and forget any of what Shane, Kim, and Roman did. Kayla then walks over to talk to JT as a frustrated Caroline and Roman look at each other, solemnly.

    Meanwhile, at Salem University Hospital, Julie tries to calm Maggie. She tells Maggie she can't confess. No one can know about anything. It would destroy their family and themselves. It would cause more pain to those they love. They have no choice. Maggie reluctantly agrees, despite still feeling that the truth may be the better route to go. Julie then sits down by Doug and sees his hand moving. Julie is stunned. She then sees his eyes slowly fluttering open. Julie begins to cry in joy as Maggie watches in tears, happy to see Doug has woke up. Doug then looks at Julie and says:

    Doug: Hello again, my lady.
    Julie: Hello, yourself, Welcome back and please don't ever leave me again, darling.
    Doug: I don't plan to, my dear. I don't plan to.

    They then lovingly embrace as Maggie watches in tears.

    -Back at the Pub, Bo and Hope are still outside. Bo tells Hope that what is going on with the family is nothing to be concerned about. Things will be fine and taken care of. Hope points out to Bo she has never seen so much tension in the Brady family. She is his wife and a Brady by marriage. Her children are Brady's so she has a right to know. Her cell then rings. It's Maggie, telling Hope her father has woke up. An overjoyed Hope says she will be right there. She hangs up and tells Bo her father woke up. Bo says that's great. Hope then grabs his hand and says, "Let's go.". They both run off to get to the hospital.

    Meanwhile, insider the Pub, Sami and Lucas tells Eric and Austin they are heading home but tell them to let them know about the wedding and the planning. Austin says that he and Carrie will get in touch with them within the next few hours. Sami and Lucas then leave. Eric says he has to go too but tells Austin to let him know if he and Carrie need any help with the wedding. Austin says he will. Eric leaves as Austin looks around, wondering where Carrie went with Evan.

    Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Carrie is swabbing Evan's cheek with a Q-Tip and then uses another to swab hers. She then tells Evan she is taking him to the hospital too for blood tests. The more credible proof she has, the better. She then places the Q-Tips in a baggle and pulls her rubbler gloves off. She now says she needs another plan...to get Evan to the hospital to be tested and back without anyone noticing. She contemplates her next move as Austin enters the kitchen and asks Carrie what she is doing.

    -At the psych ward. a creeped out Nicole tells Marlena she has a message for her...from the MCF. Marlena walks over and tells Nicole to open it and place the contents of the envelope in her mouth. Nicole agrees. Marlena then walks back to her chair in her cell and places a note, which was in the envelope, on the ground. Marlena struggles to read with the dim light and then realizes Nicole is still there. She tells Nicole she isn't in the mood to talk and torture and orders her to leave. Nicole says gladly and walks off.

    Marlena opens the letter and reads it, which leads her to get upset. A angry Marlena kicks the chair over and begins to kick and scream uncontrollably. Barbara and an orderly ask if everything is alright. Marlena says all is fine and they leave. Marlena then looks at the MCF's note again and says:

    Marlena: You...you betrayed me. You set me up to get caught and now you...you send me this? You will pay...they will all suffer. All my enemies....it's time that I get out of her. No more sitting around and contemplating. It's time for some action....it's time to blow this popsicle stant.

    Marlena then laughs hysterically as the screen fades out with her demented laughing continuing to be heard in the background.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Austin to Carrie: What is going on? Why did you really want to have Evan with us today?
    Eric to Nicole: I want answers. Why don't you just make this easy and give them to me?
    Doug to Julie: So, how did the fire start? (Julie looks at Maggie)

    Bo to Hope: What? Don't like what you see?

    -It is a new day in Salem as Lucas and Eric arrive back at Lucas's apartment, frustrated that they couldn't find Sami. Lucas thanks Eric again for helping him. He is worried about the way Sami went after Alan. Eric understands and admits he is worried too. Austin and Carrie then arrive and say they just got Lucas's message. They apologize for getting there so late but they weren't taking any calls and they just learned of the messages Lucas left. Lucas says it's ok as he knows Carrie has been going through a rough time. He then fills Austin and Carrie in on what Sami learned from Shane and Will's principal the night before.

    Carrie is stunned that Shane would like that, especially after helping to cover for her, and is equally stunned about the accusation concerning Alan. She doesn't beleive he would ever hurt Will. Sami then enters and says that Carrie is naive if she thinks that. Sami says she knows Alan hurt Will and, when she finds him, she will make him pay. Lucas and Eric embrace her, happy to see her. Sami is angry she couldn't find Alan. Lucas begs her not to do that again and makes Sami promise that they act together from now on. If Alan hurt Will, he wants to make him pay too. Sami agrees and thanks him. She asks where Will is. Lucas says he went over to Jake's house this morning and is still there. He doesn't know about Sami taking off. Sami is glad as she doesn't want him being dragged into all this.

    Carrie still refuses to beleive Alan would hurt Will. He was so kind and caring to her and she is convinced he has changed. Sami says she doesn't want to argue and says that they will get proof soon and Carrie will see the truth. Sami then notices a ring on Carrie's finger and asks if that is what she thinks it is. Carrie smiles and says it is...her and Austin got engaged last night. Sami, Lucas, and Eric embrace both Carrie and Austin and extend warn wishes. Carrie says that there is something her and Austin should ask while on the subject. She just hopes it isn't insensitive given everything going on. Sami tells her to go ahead. Carrie tells Sami that she would like her to be her maid of honor and Austin wants Lucas to be his best man. She asks Sami and Lucas what they think. Sami and Lucas both stand silent.

    -At the Brady Pub, Caroline and Kayla are talking and she is glad Bo was able to convince her to stay in Salem until they know about Steve. Kayla insists she is only doing it for Bo and she realized the family does need her here. Roman arrives and agrees with that. Kayla coldly stares at him and Caroline picks up on the tension. Kim and Shane then arrive too as Kayla turns around in disgust. Caroline begs them all to get along. Kim says she only came by because she wanted to see Bo and heard he was back. Shane came with her for support because she knew she would have to deal with the cold shoulder. Kayla says that it always seems like liars like to stick together.

    Shane tells Kayla to back off. He knows him and Kayla both made mistakes but their comes a time to forgive and forget. Kayla admits she doesn't know if she can, especially in Kim and Roman's case. Roman admits he is having trouble even looking at Shane after he exposed Carrie to Alan for months and now after he heard that he saw Alan with Will and never said anything. Shane says he just felt like it was nothing and Will said he was fine. Roman says that means nothing. Will could be lying. Shane reminds Roman that alot was going on and it just kind of got pushed aside. Caroline begs everyone to stop fighting, saying she knows there are problems but Bo has come home. She begs them to try to get along.

    Bo then arrives with Hope and JT. Caroline runs to him and embraces him. She takes his bags and says she will have them put upstairs. He thanks her. Kayla embraces him again and Shane shakes his hand. Bo tells Shane he heard about his covering for Carrie. He tells Shane that he has a thing lately about people who hide things so he doesn't really want to look at him right now. Bo then coldly stands at KIm and Roman.

    Hope notices all the tension and asks what is going on. She says that the family is hiding something and has been for weeks, even since before Bo left. She wants to know what they are all hiding right now.

    -At The Spectator, Victor and Nico arrive to meet with Jack, Billie, Frankie, and Greta. Victor explains how his tails have come up with nothing in searching for James, Alan, or the MCF. Jack and Billie explain their futile visit to Marlena and Frankie and Greta remind everyone of learning about the MCF being the one who blew up Sami's apartment and Alan's involvement with the MCF. Victor says that enough is enough. This lack of progress and sluggish investigation is getting them nowhere. Victor says they need to take action against the MCF and his or her allies now before it's too lare.

    Jack agrees. They can't screw around and take it one step at a time. The time is now and it's time to go from breaking the case open to catching the MCF and putting an end to his or her reign of terror. Billie's eyes light up and she says she has an idea.

    -Back at Lucas's apartment, Sami and Lucas agree to Carrie and Austin's requests. Carrie and Austin both thank them and inform them that the wedding is in two days. Sami, Lucas, and Eric are stunned. Carrie says she can really use something positive like this and they don't want to wait. It's been long enough and they've been married before. Sami says she understands. Carrie tells them that she was on her way to the Pub to tells the rest of the family as Uncle Bo has come home but she got Lucas's message first. Lucas says everything is fine now for the moment so they can go to the Pub and handle their wedding business. Sami tells Carrie she would like to go with her and Austin as she needs to talk to dad anyway and they can work on the wedding. Lucas and Eric agree to go too and they all take off for the Pub.

    -At the Pub, Hope demands the truth as Caroline enters the room. Bo looks at Kim and Roman and says there is no secret. He tells Hope to just leave it alone. They all just had a minor argument and they don't wish to get into it right now. Caroline goes up to Hope and takes her aside. She begs her to just let her suspicions go. The family has enough troubles and they don't need anymore stress. Hope says she is really concerned but Caroline tells her everything is fine.

    Meanwhile, Roman and Kim ask Kayla and Bo if they will ever forgive them. Bo and Kayla coldly stare at them and stay silent. Kim fights back tears as Shane comforts her. Carrie, Austin, Sami, Lucas, and Eric arrive and they are greeted by everyone. Sami, Carrie, and Eric welcome their Uncle Bo back. Hope notices Carrie's ring and then Carrie makes the announcement. Everyone is stunned that the wedding is in two days but understand given what Carrie has been through. Roman hugs Carrie and says he is so happy for her. Sami comes over and says she needs to talk to Roman. He follows her to the back of the Pub.

    Sami fills Roman in on what she learned the previous day. Roman says that, in addition to that, there is evidence that Alan is working with the MCF. Lucas overhears and comforts an alarmed Sami.

    Kim and Shane see that they are outcasts and that they are being ignored so they opt to leave. Caroline sees them leave and vows not to let her family fall apart like this. Outside. Kim asks Shane if it will ever get better. Shane hugs her and says he hopes so.

    Hope goes over to Bo at the bar and asks if he is ok. He nods and then goes to sit with JT as Hope continues to wonder what the big secret is that everyone in the immediate Brady family seem to know.

    Kayla and Carrie are talking and Kayla says she heard about her hard time dealing with the loss of her baby. Kayla apologizes. Carrie says it's fine. She wishes her baby would somehow return to her. Kayla says she can understand that but tells Carrie that is impossible. Carrie knows and says she wasn't thinking when she thought Nicole's baby, Evan, was hers. Kayla tells Carrie that she needs to just give things time. She needs to heal. If she rushes it and doesn't try to move on, she will spend the rest of her life wondering if every baby born around the same time as hers is hers. She may even run around and do DNA tests on every baby, that is if she lets herself go crazy enough.

    Kayla words strike a chord in Carrie and she thanks her aunt. Kayla embraces her and says your welcome. Carrie realizes there is a way to tell if she is right about Evan. She can have a DNA test done. All she needs is to get a hold of Evan and get a sample of his DNA and she will hit pay dirt. Austin comes over and asks if she is ok. Carrie smiles and says she is great and asks Austin to do her a favor. She needs him to convince Nicole to let them babysit Evan. Austin is confused by her request.

    -Back at the Spectator, Jack asks Billie what her idea is. Billie tells him, Greta, Frankie, Nico, and Victor that they know the MCF is hard to catch but with Shane and the ISA's high-tech surveillance equipment and if Victor can use his money and power to allow them access and permission to do this...they may have something that can catch this person. Billie reminds them of how they collected surveillance camera footage and says that the MCF and his or her accomplices only got caught on cameras that were new or that they didn't realize were there. All they need to do is plant mini-bugs or spy cameras all over Salem in random public spots and they can possibly track the MCF and his or her accomplices and catch them.

    Victor thinks that may work and everyone else agrees. Frankie thinks they have nothing to lose and it's worth a shot. Billie says that the ISA has state of the art technology that has bugs and mini-cameras so small that the MCF will never see them. They just need to set up a surveillance center somewhere. Victor offers up his secret room. Billie thinks that will do. Victor says he will use his power and influence to get them access and permission to do what they must. Frankie volunteers to call Shane and get the surveillance equipment they need. Billie says that's great. They finally have a way to bust the MCF and put an end to his or her reign...before it's too late for all of them.

    The screen then fades out on a determined Billie's face.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Austin to Carrie: What are you up to?
    Lucas to Sami (with Eric): It will be ok. We will find out everything. I promise you.
    Nicole to MCF: What do you need me to do?
    Caroline to Kayla and Roman: It's time for forgiveness. Shane, Kim...please. Let's save our family before it's too late.

    ***NOTE: THIS EPISODE PICKS UP ON EVENTS IN VENDETTA CLIP #10 SO YOU MAY WANT TO READ THAT BEFORE SO YOU CAN FOLLOW THE TONY/ANNA STUFF BETTER.***

    -Tony and Anna are still talking with Ernesto while inside their cell. Tony says he knew it was Ernesto. He recognized his voice, even while he as whispering, based on the time he was held captive by Andre and Wendell and also because of the time that Ernesto was being cared for by Stefano after he "died" with "Hope" in he cage. Ernesto sarcastically comments on how smart Tony is. Anna asks him why he is doing this. Ernesto describes how he never truly got his revenge on his enemies last summer. Andre, Wendell, and then Stefano screwed with his plans. The island schemes were his ideas and they were ruined. Stefano made them his plans and, in Stefano's absence, Andre and Wendell messed with them too and made it all about them.

    Ernesto explains how he went into hiding following last year's island fiasco. Tony knows nothing of that but Anna explains to Tony what happened based on what she heard and read. Ernesto says he was presented with a deal a few weeks later. The deal was from a person with whom he shared some comment enemies. They agreed to team up and that is what led to this. Tony asks Ernesto who his boss is. Ernesto insists that it's a partnership. Tony laughs and says it's no partnership. He can sense Ernesto is just being used and informs Ernesto of something Stefano told him about Ernesto years ago. Tony says that Stefano told him:

    Tony: Ernesto is weak. He doesn't have what it takes to ever follow through. He can make all the threats he wants but, when it comes down to it, he can never finish the job.

    Ernesto fumes as Tony shows a devilsh grin.

    -At Salem University Hospital, Cassie is visting Stefano. She is telling her grandfather about the mess she is in with the MCF and how she doesn't know what to do about it. Her cell phone then rings and she realizes she forgot to turn it off. She looks to see if anyone is watching and answers it after not being able to recognize the phone number. She says "Hello" and received no answer.

    MCF (via voice changer): Hello, young Cassie.
    Cassie: You...what do you want?
    MCF: The time has come...it's time for you to recieve your orders.

    Meanwhile, in the psych ward, Jack and Billie are dressed like a doctor and a nurse. Both are wearing glasses with Billie in a red wig and Jack in a blond one. Bille is in a nurses uniform and Jack is wearing a lab coat. Billie tells Jack he better hope no one realizes that her uniform and his lab coat are stolen. Jack tells her to chill. Billie is worried about being caught but Jack says he knew it would be easier to do this at night during the late shift and shows Billie how far they have come. Billie tells him to shutup and to keep moving. They don't have time to inflate his ego.

    They reach Marlena's room and both take a deep breath as they enter. Marlena is in her strightjacket. She is looking right at Jack and Billie as they enter and laughs uncontrollably.

    Marlena: You call those disguised. Fools...
    Jack: You know...
    Marlena: Yes, Jackass. Only an idiot wouldn't.
    Billie: Fine. Look, Marlena, We need your help.
    Marlena: Good luck with that. Hate to break it to you but Marlena is gone and never coming back. Only Samantha is here and I have no interest in helping you.
    Jack: So that is who you are today? Who will you be tomarrow? Marcy? Martha? Someone else who isn't on your medical chart.
    Marlena: If I wasn't in a straightjacket and if the staff would listen to my ravings, I would call for security right now. Hey, Billie. How is that whore of a mother of yours? She make any moves on my so-called husband yet? God knows the last time I was locked in a prison and was out of the picture...
    Jack: I know the real Marlena is in there so, please, give us something...help us end this person's terrorizing and manipulation.
    Marlena: Ah...I see now. You want me to help you with the cloaked one. Not going to happen. Hey, when are all you idiots going to realize you can't stop this. The plan is in motion. You are all setup already to be sent to your complete and utter destruction.

    Jack and Billie look at each other, wondering what she is hinting at as Marlena shows an evil smirk.

    -Hope brings Bo back to their house and welcomes him home. Bo reminds Hope that this is only for one night and he is going to the Pub in the morning and staying there. Hope understands and says she already called his mother to tell her. Hope asks Bo where he would like to sleep. Bo thinks it's best if he sleeps on the couch. He doesn't want to push anything right now. Hope understands and says she will go get some pillows and blankets after she pays the babysitter. Hope goes into the kitchen to pay the sitter as there is a knock on the door. Bo answers it to find Kayla there. She is happy to see him and jumps into his arms, telling Bo long time, no see.

    -At their hotel suite. Cal is expressing his excitement over the wedding being tomarrow. He asks Katherine if she is excited. She nods and asks if he is sure he is ok to do this with his episode earlier. Cal insists he is fine. He has recovered from it and is actually happy to be having memories. He just has to accept that they are going to keep coming and overwhelming him.

    Cal realizes it's nearly midnight and tells Katherine he is going to his room now so he doesn't see the bride before the wedding. Katherine laughs and says she can't beleive he is into superstitious stuff like that. Cal thinks it makes it fun. He tells her he will be right next door and gives her a kiss, wishing her good night. She echoes his sentiment as he leaves. Katherine then pulls out her wedding dress and lets out a deep sigh.

    Later, Cal is asleep in his room and is reliving the memory flashes he had earlier. There are explosions, loud screams, him arguing with a man...and then he finally jumps up. He is sweating and is overcome by the intensity of the memories. He knows as Cal Winters he was an awful person to some like Kim and Kayla but these memories are of things he doesn't know. It's the unknown he fears he can't handle or control. He then wonders what will happen if his past comes back to haunt him and how it may affect him and Katherine. He thinks about the fact that something that he doesn't remember could prove dangerous or end up hurting Katherine and he contemplates whether he wants to marry her and put her through that.

    Meanwhile, Katherine is sleeping in her room and is having a nightmare about life after marrying Cal. Him and her are arguing and regretting getting married so fast because it's turned out to be a bad decision and a marriage full of fighting and tension. Katherine wakes up from the dream quickly and realizes she doesn't think she can do this. She had never felt love until Cal and she wonders if this is the real deal. She wonders if she is ready for marriage and a lifetime committment and begins to think she isn't.

    -Bo and Kayla catch up and she tells Bo how angry she is about Roman and Kim keeping the truth from him. Bo tells Kayla he doesn't want to be responsible for destroying the family. He tells Kayla it's ok for her to get along with Roman and Kim. Kayla says it was horrible what they did but Bo cuts her off, saying he doesn't want to talk about it nor does he want Hope to find out. Kayla understands. Bo says that Hope told him about Steve and her plan to go after hime. Kayla says she is going to. She promised that she would wait 24 hours but that is it. Bo reminds her that they only know he is in Europe and that is hardly anything to go on.

    Kayla understands that but thinks she can track him down. Bo shakes his head and laughs at her being his typical, stubborn sister again. Bo reminds her of her promise while they were talking a few minutes ago about how she would do anything for him and he asks if that still stands. Kayla says it does. Bo asks her if she will stay in Salem and wait to see if more turns up on Steve. He asks her to do it for him. He wouldn't be able to deal with her taking off with no specific location in Europe in mind and he has enough to work through. He begs her to take the sensible route and just let the SPD and the right people work on this and find out more specifics. He even agrees to help out. Kayla is reluctant, saying she feels he needs her.

    Bo tells Kayla he needs her here and the family does too, as well as her patients. Kayla agrees to stay but tells him that the minute they get an exact location on Steve, she is going to him. Bo agrees to that. Kayla stresses she is doing this for him. Bo tells her she is doing the right thing. Hope returns and says hi to Kayla while embracing her. Kayla says her and Bo were just catching up. Hope says that's good and then tells Bo there is someone who is still up and wants to see him. JT then comes running out and Bo greets him with hugs and kisses, saying he missed him. JT says he missed him more.

    JT asks if Bo is back to stay. Bo says he will be around now but he will be staying with grandma Caroline. There are some things he has to deal with. JT asks if he will come and see him. Bo smiles and says of course. Hope tells JT he is up way too late and to go upstairs. She will up in a second. JT kisses Bo and Hope, as well as his Aunt Kayla, goodnight and goes upstairs. Kayla says she has to go too but tells Bo she is happy to see him and to give her a call. She embraces both of them and leaves.

    Bo tells Hope he convinced Kayla to stay. She says that's good. Bo then says he is going to go take a shower and hit the hay. He tells her goodnight. She says the same as he goes upstairs to the bathroom. Hope then looks at a picture of their 1985 wedding and says to herself that they have alot to work through...but she isn't giving up. Never.

    -Ernesto tells Tony that he will show him and Stefano. Once this grand scheme reaches it's finale, they both will see. This time it will be a success. Ernesto then walks away, angry. Anna tells Tony she can't stand this. She can't take not knowing who is the top dog behind this and she can't take not knowing what will happen to them. She tells Tony it's hopeless. Whatever is in store, can't be good and they may never see the light of day again. Tony tells Anna he isn't giving up and either should she. They then lovingly embrace as she says she is glad she is being held captive with him...again. She beleives she could never get through this without him. They both laugh and he says he is pleased to be in her company too.

    -Back at University Hospital in Stefano's room, Cassie asks the MCF what she has to do. He or she tells her to be at the Deveraux house tomarrow night at 8:00 sharp. There will be two men there and they will tell her what to do. He or she orders her to follow instructions and there will be no problems. Cassiei s reluctant but, after the MCF reminds her what will happen if she defies orders, she agrees. The MCF is pleased and wishes her luck on the mission before hanging up.

    Cassie then looks at Stefano and begins to cry. She says she wanted revenge on Max, Abby, and Chelsea but not like this. She doesn't want to kidnap Abby and Chelsea but she has no choice. If she doesn't help, they are all in danger and the MCF might finish Stefano off. She hugs her grandfather and says she has to do this for him and their family. She kisses him and says she will be back soon to visit again. She confesses how much she misses him and how much she needs him here right now. She then leaves as Stefano's hand moves and begins to slightly close into a defiant fist.

    Meanwhile, in the psych ward, Jack asks Marlena what she is talking about. Marlena laughs and says wouldn't he like to know. Billie asks Marlena how often the MCF held meetings with her and his other accomplices. Marlena stays silent and then says that they aren't getting nothing out of her. However, Marlena tells them both she will give them something to take with them. Hell, they can even print it.

    Marlena: I WILL get out of here. And, when I do, the cloaked one...will look like child's play compared to me. Those that wronged me will be brought to their knees and that includes the mysterious cloaked figure. Take that with you and print it.

    Jack and Billie realize it's a hopeless cause and leave as Marlena laughs, sadistically.

    Marlena: You have been warned. The cloaked one may start the fun but I am going to finish it...by taking you all out...in a blaze of glory!!! My glory!!

    Marlena continues to laugh as the scene slowly fades to black as her evil, haunting laughs continue to be heard.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Caroline to Roman, Kayla, Kim, Bo, Hope, and Shane: I won't stand by and let this family fall apart!!
    Carrie (with Austin) to Eric, Sami, and Lucas: We're getting married...in two days.

    The MCF is examining his or her collage of pictures on the wall of the abandoned warehouse office closet. He or she points to and caresses a picture of Cassie.

    MCF (via voice changer): It's your time now, my dear.

    The MCF then examines the rest of the collage.

    MCF: The day is nearly here. Everyone is nearly in position. Soon, the ship will be here and the grand finale will commence. The day of reckoning is on the horizon...a day I have been waiting for and worked so hard for. I can only hope it satisfies my thirst for vengeance...for evening the score. Soon...

    The scene then shifts to Tony and Anna, who are still in their cell.

    Anna: I still can't beleive you were right about that person.
    Tony: Yeah but it's only the associate. If I could only find out who the ringleader of his circus is...

    Tony and Anna then hear someone coming and race to the cell door. They see the mysterious associate, who is wearing a suit yet again and has a black hood on again as well.

    Tony: Hey!!!
    Mysterious Associate (low and whispering tone): What?
    Tony: Is it really necessary to wear the hood? We know who you are. You also don't need to whisper
    Mysterious Associate: Hmm...your right. Force of habit. My apologies, Count. I am still quite upset with you pulling off my hood.

    The mysterious associate takes off his hood.

    Tony: Well, that's a shame but it's certainly is nice to look at you face to face. Now, why don't you tell us who your boss is? Afterall, we aren't going anywhere.

    The camera then pans up to reveal the identity of the mysterious associate as...

    THIS PERSON.

    Mysterious Associate: I can't do that, my friend. I am afraid you will just have to settle for knowing one half of the equation.

    The mysterious associate laughs sadistically as the screen fades into...

    -In the Dimera underground Paris tunnels, Lexie is still in the secret room with Hector and her team of henchmen. She goes over to Hector and tells him that time is tunning out and that there is still a chance of saving Abe and her mother. Hector shakes his head at Lexie and tells her that he and the team aren't going out there and, even if they did, the chances of them surviving both blasts and the cave-ins that followed is very slim. Hector leaves as Lexie tries to hold back tears, hoping Hector is wrong.

    Meanwhile, Steve is with the Paris police. Two search and rescue officials are on the scene. A officer tells Steve that they couldn't use mechanicla equipment out of hear that it would cause another cave-in but admits they are close to breaking through the wall of debris. Steve is pleased to hear that. The officer adds that he will have to be questioned as to what he saw and heard. Steve nods in approval as the officer walks away and then realizes that if the cloaked one finds out what he is doing...he would hate to think about it. Steve determines that he can't answer any questions and needs to make a run for it, as it decreases the chance of the MCF finding out he helped Abe and Celeste and risked exposure.

    Behind the wall of debris and rubble, Abe is holding Celeste. Her breathing is faint and Abe is begging her to wake up. He says he can't lose her as she was the one constant in his and Theo's life these past few months. She kept him and Theo going and he doesn't know where they would be without her. He will always be eternally grateful and he then begs Celeste once again not to leave them. Celeste's eyes slowly flutter open as she tells Abe she feels the same way about him. It's him and Theo that have kept her going too. They both smile as Abe welcomes her back.

    -Katherine helps Cal to their bed in their hotel suite. She tells him that she can see he remembered something. She reminds Cal of his promise to be honest with her about this. Cal nods and says he was overcome with a blast of memories. He heard Jed's car backfiring and it was like a whirlwind. He then fills her in on his memories. Katherine is stunned, saying that those sound both intense and extreme. She can see why he is so affected. She suggests that maybe they should postpone the wedding. Cal says there is no need. He will be fine. He just needs to get a hold of himself. He is going to have to get used to having memory flashes like that.

    Katherine still thinks it may be best to put the wedding off. Cal then asks her what is going on as it seems she wants out of the wedding tomarrow. He asks if she is having second thoughts. Katherine is silent.

    -At Sami and Lucas' apartment, Sami begs Will to admit the truth. She asks him once again if Alan did something. Will recalls Alan's warning that if he said anything him and his family would suffer a fate worse then death. Will begins to tremble but hides it. He then says that Alan did nothing to him. Will admits that he befriended him and that Alan told him that his name was "Ace" but that's it. He never told anyone because people find it creepy when teenagers have older friends, especially one as old as Alan. Will says he only realized who "Ace" really was the night Shane found them together. Will admits being angry that Alan lied but says he understands given what he did.

    Will says that he told Alan that night he no longer wanted to see him again based on what he did to his mother. He just couldn't hang out with him after learning who he was and what he did to his mother. Sami asks Will if Alan was the one that got him out of trouble at school last May with the stink bomb. Will nods and says he just happened to be around. Will says he thinks it was a show of good will and that Alan was trying to convince people he changed by befriending him in hopes of convincing Sami and the rest of the family that he was on the up and up now. Lucas admits it does make sense. Will says that is all it is. Alan didn't hurt him or anything. Sami asks him if he is sure. She begs Will to be honest. Will is silent.

    -On the pier, Bo and Hope break from their loving embrace. They express joy for seeing each other for the first time in weeks. Bo apologizes for not being there for her with her father being in a coma and her Aunt Marie dying. Hope says it's ok. She is just happy to see him. She tells him she saw him at a bar the night of the fire at Chez Rouge but she had to go help save her father. She asks Bo where he has been. He doesn't answer and, before Hope can get out another question, he tells her no questions. He isn't going to tell her why he has been MIA and what he has been dealing with.

    Hope begs Bo to just come home and to let her in...to let everyone who loves him in. She tells Bo they all need him and that JT asks where his father is every day and night. She says that Shawn calls from overseas and she has to keep making up something. She knows Bo is going through some things but his family and friends need him. She needs him and he needs all of them too. Bo turns away, trying to resist Hope's emotional plea. Hope takes a picture of JT and various family members out. She tells Bo to look at the picture. She then forcefully turns Bo around and demands he look at it. She tells him they need him and then challenges him to finally do what is right...and come home where he belongs.

    Bo contemplates Hope's words and, realizing he is fighting a losing battle and that Hope is right, he agrees to come home. He admits it's time and that wandering around isn't doing anything. He does tell Hope there is one condition...and that is she doesn't ask any questions and doesn't push for him to open up to her about what is going on. That same rule applies to everyone else too. He doesn't feel like dealing with all that right now. Plus, he stays at the Pub with mom for now. Hope isn't crazy about the idea but agrees, saying it will just be good to know where he is. They embrace and she tells him he is doing the right thing. He nods and, when she hugs him again, looks on with worry that someone will find out his secret.

    -Back in Paris, Steve notices all the police and search and rescue officials busy and realizes this is his breaks. He then makes a run for it, hoping Abe and Celeste are alright and also hoping he dodged a bullet and that the MCF won't find out how his helping out put him in danger of exposure.

    The police and search and rescue dig through the wall and get to Abe and Celeste. Abe tells the EMT's, who race in, that Celeste may have some broken bones and a bad concussion. They insist on treating him too. He tells all the authorities who he is and why he was in the tunnels. The police then wonder where Steve went. Abe asks them how they knew that he and Celeste were down there. An officer explains how a man had heard screams and the explosion and led them to the tunnels. They give Abe a description and he realizes that it sounds alot like Steve.

    Meanwhile, Lexie hears alot of noise and looks out the secret room door. She sees the EMT's, rescue team, and police and then sees Abe leaving with Celeste for the hospital. She manages to hear that her mother is going to be fine too. She is pleased and she notices Hector seems disappointed. She smiles and tells him he lucked out because if her husband and mother were dead, regardless of how betrayed she feels by them still, she would've made sure he paid for his disobedience to her orders. She tells him to listen to her next time. She is in charge and, if he has a problem, he will no longer be a part of the organization. Hector rolls his eyes and pounds his fist in disgust as Lexie walks away.

    -Back at their hotel suite, Katherine assures Cal she wants to marry him and that she loves him but that postponing the wedding a few days won't hurt. Cal promises Katherine he is fine and that he wants nothing more then for them to get married tomarrow. He tells her everything is all set and he can't wait. Nothing will stand in the way of their day...not even the memories of his past. Not if he can help it. She smiles at him as he asks if they are ok and if everything is still on. Katherine agrees and they embrace as a bewildered Katherine looks on, contemplating whether she is doing the right thing or if it's simply too fast.

    -Back at Sami and Lucas', Will assures both Lucas and Sami that what he said was the truth. He then says he has homework to finish. Sami apologizes to Will for going behind his back and going to school. Will says he understands and that they should just drop it. She was only worried about him. Sami thanks him for his understanding. She tellls Will that she hated that he lied. He apologizes again. Will then goes to his room, closes his door, and breaks down in tears over having to lie to his parents. He keeps saying he had no choice and then he hopes to God that Alan doesn't find out how close his parents are to learning the truth or they may all be in trouble.

    Meanwhile, Lucas tells Sami that Will's story seems logical. Sami says she doesn't buy it. She then gets her coat on as Lucas asks where she is going. She says she is going to find Alan and he can't stop her. She then throws his arm off her and walks out as Lucas chases after her. Sami gets on the elevator, which shuts just as Lucas gets there. While in the elevator, Sami can hear Lucas banging on the elevator shaft door and yelling for her. She vows to find Alan and get the truth out of him. She promises that if he did hurt Will, he is a dead man as the screen fades out.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Kayla to Bo: It's so good to see you!
    Cassie to Stefano: I just don't know what to do.
    Tony to Anna: I'm not giving up and either should you.
    Hope to Bo: Welcome home...
    Katherine: I don't think I can do this.
    Cal: What if my past comes back to haunt me?
    Jack (with Billie) to Marlena: I know the real Marlena is in there so, please, give us something...help us end this person's terrorizing and manipulation.

    -At Bo and Hope's house, Hope is with JT. She tells JT it's time to start getting ready for bed and his bath. JT asks Hope when he is going to see daddy again. Hope hesistates and realizes she must answer this question somehow. Hope tells JT she isn't sure when daddy will be home and then whispers under her breath that she isn't even sure if he will EVER come home.

    -At the Pier, Victor and Nico walk along the top level, looking for his men. The same men he hired to find James and that will hopefully lead him to the MCF. He also hopes to find Alan, who he now knows is connected to James and the MCF. While they walk down the stairs to the bottom level, Victor spots Bo, who is standing at the edge of the pier and looking out over the river. Nico also spots him and tells Victor that he will be back at the car. Victor thanks his trusted aide and, as Nico walks off, Victor walks over to Bo and says.....

    Victor: Hello, son.
    Bo: Victor. Good to see you.
    Victor: You as well. Where have you been?
    Bo: Here and there.
    Victor: Not much of an answer, son.
    Bo: All the answer you’re going to get.
    Victor: Why do you have to be so secretive?
    Bo: Look whose talking? Must be in the genes.
    Victor: Good answer.
    Bo: Besides, you must still be pissed about finding out I was working with the I.S.A.
    Victor: No more upset then when you did it 20 years ago. And, anyway, we had become very close. I know that those feelings and those times weren’t a lie. And, if I were in your shoes, son, I may have done the very same thing.
    Bo: Thank you. I appreciate that. But don’t think I’ll tell you what’s been up.
    Victor: Why won’t you trust me with this, Bo? Maybe I could help.
    Bo: Victor, this is none of you business, ok? Just leave it alone. Everything doesn’t always need that kind of touch.
    Victor: Don’t preach that crap to me, ok? All I know is that I have a child out here who is hurting and I want to help. Now why is that a crime? You won’t talk to your lady and your family is crazed with worry about you.
    Bo: I know that. But don’t preach to me about family. Some family I have. My brother and sister....... (Bo looks at Victor, and pauses) Just........just let me deal with this, ok? And if I need any help.......
    Victor: (Turning towards him) You come to me, son. Please.
    Bo: Ok. Deal. But for now.......
    Victor: For now, you have your space. You take care of yourself, son.
    Bo: You too...........Dad.

    It now takes everything Victor has not to let Bo see the tears that are welling up in his eyes. His oldest boy just called him Dad for the first time. Victor now knows that all the time they spent together did have a positive impact on him, even though it was the violent life they both now deal in. As Victor leaves Bo, he gets his phone and makes a phone call. The person who answers asks him.......

    Hope: Victor, why are you...Did you find him?
    Victor: Yes. Get down to pier 9. Now.
    Hope: On my way.

    As Hope races out of the house, Victor walks the short distance back to his car. When he gets there, he instructs Nico to.......

    Victor: Don't let Bo out of your sight until Hope gets here, understand?
    Nico: Understood, sir.

    Nico races off with several of Victor’s men as they still see Bo standing at the pier. As they position themselves to keep an eye on him, a car races up to the pier and slams on the breaks. Victor looks out his car window to see Hope race off towards the pier and smiles that, maybe, finally, Bo will open up to the one person who has always been there for him. Mind, body and soul.

    Bo gets ready to leave and, as he turns to walk away, he sees Hope standing there. One tear runs down her face as she slowly walks over to him. She can’t take her eyes of his and his anguished expression is a mix of relief, guilt, and deep sadness. Hope stands in front of him and then hugs him. Her eyes close as the tears flow and Bo returns this hug, resting his cheek against hers. They both just stand there, holding each other, and don’t say one word as the scene fades to black.

    -Cal and Jed help set up chairs for his wedding to Katherine. As they set the scene, which overlooks a cliff, Jed asks Cal if he is having any second thoughts about this. Cal looks out over the cliff and then at Jed, saying that this just feels right to him. She is one of the first people who has helped him and he just saw a side of her that he knows few see. She is one splendid lady, he tells Jed, and he is honored that she wants to spend her life with him.

    At her hotel suite, Katherine is readying herself for her big day. She lays out her dress on her bed and then walks to the window, where she sees Cal and Jed in the distance getting things ready. One of the hotel staff members comes in and asks her if everything is ok. She turns and tells the young lady, with a smile, that everything is fine. She just wonders, out loud, if everything is going a little to fast.

    Back at the cliff, Jed says that he is taking off to get some more things for the event. The men both shake hands as Jed leaves. Jed walks to his truck and starts it up but it ends up backfiring. Katherine looks out the window towards Cal, who barely heard Jed tell him that he is alright. Cal places his left hand on the side of his head, as sudden, powerful memories come rushing back. Everything is a blur, as he slumps down to one knee. Katherine races out her door as Cal remembers.....

    Telling an older man to “GO TO HELL!!”....... Gunshots all around him........screams of pain...........
    Jumping in a car and racing off........Kissing an older woman on her cheek and saying, “I Love You”....Shaking another man’s hand.........getting a medal pinned on his chest.........

    He now slumps to both knees as Katherine races towards him. She grabs him, screaming ........

    Katherine: Cal!! Can you hear me?! Are you alright?!

    She holds him in her arms as he slumps unconscious into her lap. She rocks him back and forth as the scene fades upward before slowly fading to black.

    -Back at their apartment, Sami sees Lucas getting home from work and tells him what she learned at Will’s school earlier that day. She also tells him what Shane kept from them, which really ticks Lucas off. He says that he thought Shane would have learned something from the last time he pulled this crap. Sami says apparently not. But she wonders how they will handle Will. She then goes and sits on the couch, while Lucas comes to sit next to her. He tells her that all they can do is be there for him.

    Sami knows that but says that if Alan hurt her baby........to which Lucas cuts her off. He tells her that they will wait to hear what Will has to say about everything and then take it from there. But, he also tells her, if Alan DID harm Will, he’ll do things to him that will make the devil weep in agony. Sami actually smiles at that, knowing that Lucas means every word. She then tells him that he sounds like his grandfather. Lucas takes that as the highest compliment. Grandpa Tom, from what he heard, was always about family. Lucas says he is no different.

    Just as Sami leans in to pat Lucas’s cheek, Will comes home from school. Both parents jump up and tell Will that they are glad to see him. Will looks at each of them strangely and asks what is going on. Both of them look at each other and then back at Will, before Sami tells him that she talked to his principal today. Will gets upset, saying that she had no right. Lucas tells him that she had every single right and says that he would have done the very same thing. Will starts to walk away but Lucas gets in front of him and stops him.

    He tells him that Sami found some things out. Sami says yes to this and turns Will around, saying that they need to find out what is going on. She tells him what she found out from his principal and from Shane. This has went on long enough and they love him too much for him to go through this thing alone. So, he is not leaving until he opens up and that’s that. She asks him flat out if Alan did something to him. Will looks at both his parents and sighs very deeply as the scene closes in on his face before slowly fading to black.

    -At the hospital, Roman arrives to speak with Barbara. She once again tells him that she is still going back and forth between personalities. She then tells him that a new one, Martha, has emerged. This one seems to express remorse for what she has done while under the influence of her other personalities. The doctor knew that would happen. It is a person’s defense mechanism against what they have done. It helps them cope.

    She is concerned about the Samantha personality. That is the most dominant. When Roman asks her if she will recover from this, the doctor isn’t sure. Roman says she has enough personalities to fill a stadium. He then asks can he see her. The doctor agrees he can briefly and, when he walks into her room, she is in a straight jacket. She turns to look at him and then struggles to break free from her confinement. When Roman tells her that he loves her, she tells him that his precious Marlena is dead. Forever.

    Samantha is the woman he’ll be dealing with from now on. When Roman takes a step closer, Marlena lashes out, screaming uncontrollably at him and once again trying to break free from her jacket. The doctor ushers Roman out of the room as men rush in to restrain her. She screams that everyone will wish she were dead once she gets out of there and, as Roman watches the orderlies hold her down, he looks at her with a heartbroken expression as the scene, and the show, slowly fade to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Sami (with Lucas) to Will: Please, Will. Don't lie. We can deal with this together. Tell us the truth.
    Abe to Celeste: Don't die on me. You understand?
    Lexie to Hector: Time is running out. We can still save then. Please!
    Steve: If the cloaked one finds out what I am doing...I hate to think about it.
    Cal to Katherine: Your not having second thoughts are you? It sounds like you want out of this wedding.
    Hope to Bo: Please!! Come home. Let me in...let me...let all of us help you.

    VENDETTA CLIP #9

    The MCF is monitoring happenings around Salem from the surveilance center in the abandoned warehouse office. His or her cell phone rings and the MCF turns on his or her voice changer and answers.

    MCF: Yes...
    Mysterious Associate (in low, whispering voice): It's me.
    MCF: Well, long time no chat. How is the Count and his little girlfriend doing?
    Mysterious Associate: Tony and Anna are fine and you will be happy to know that all the preparations have been made for the arrival of our newest guests.
    MCF: Ah, yes. Ms. Deveraux and Ms. Brady...I will be getting in touch with Cassie Dimera soon to get the ball rolling.
    Mysterious Associate: I am afraid both girls will have to share a cell with our other guest. We don't have much room. That isn't a problem, is it?
    MCF: No. Just as long as they don't share with Tony and Anna. I fear that would be asking for trouble. I think that arrangement will be fine. So, tell me, where are you?
    Mysterious Associate: We are in the middle of the Mediterranean somewhere. We will be heading back to Milan once you give me the go ahead.
    MCF: Yes, I have Steve Johnson watching over Lexie and company. As soon as they arrive in Milan, as I am sure they will given all the Dimera lairs in the area, I will let you know to put the plan in motion.
    Mysterious Associate: So, do you think that will be soon? Should I start preparing our last available cell?
    MCF: Yes...do that. It should be very soon. Remember, once you make that stop in Milan, you should begin your journey here to the states.
    Mysterious Associate: Ok. And you still plan to fly young Abigail and Chelsea out to Milan, right?
    MCF: Yes. I have made the proper arrangments. They will be put on a cargo plane and I will alert you once they arrive in Milan. I have our people taking care of it and they will bring them to you on the ship.
    Mysterious Associate: Excelllent. I hate talking in this low voice.
    MCF: You will be able to stop soon. Not to worry. We just can't have people figuring out our identities yet...I don't want to take any chances. I should've gave you a voice changer as well.
    Mysterious Associate: It's fine. I must go. Stay in touch as we go along.
    MCF: I will. Let me know if any problems erupt.


    The MCF hangs up and laughs.

    MCF: It's so easy to manipulate people. Once I am done using you for what I must, my esteemed partner in crime, I will toss you to the side like the garbage and failure that you are!!

    The scene then shifts back to the mysterious associate, who is wearing an expensive pair of cufflinks with his suit like always. He goes to check on Tony and Anna, who are pacing around in their cell. They notice the mysterious associate, who has now covered himself with a black hood, and race to the cell door.

    Tony: We're not going anywhere so give us some answers, damnit!!
    Anna: Please. Can you at least tell us what's going on...why you have us here?

    The mysterious associate remains silent.

    Tony: I know you aren't in charge. I just get that feeling from you. I know someone is overseeing this and you are somehow aiding him or her. I have a suspicion as to who you are....I recognized your voice quite a few times but couldn't place it. I doubted whether I was right or not but, after much thought, I think I may be right. We're locked in this cell and we are at your mercy so I just don't understand why you can't tell us anything.

    The mysterious associate is still silent until he says in a low tone:

    Mysterious Associate: Just so as your told and remain quiet, Mr. Dimera. You don't wany any trouble, beleive me. You will find out what we want you to find out...when we want you to find out. Got it? Now, I bid you good night.


    The mysterious associate turns around to leave as a frustrated Tony says:

    Tony: No! I don't "got it!"

    Tony then grabs the mysterious associate's hood and pulls it down. Anna is shocked and Tony doesn't look surprised.

    Anna: My...I never knew you personally but I know you from pictures and what I heard. Tony was right. He was right about who you are
    Tony: I knew it. The voice...so much makes sense now. Now that we know who you are now...why don't you give us the name of your boss...

    The screen then fades out on Tony's determined face and fades into...

    -In the Parisian tunnels, Lexie is in the secret room with Hector and her team. They pick themselves up and begin to come to terms with what happened. Lexie opens the secret room door and sees all the destruction left as a result of the explosions Hector set off. Lexie slaps Hector and tells him to look at what he has done. Hector says he did what he had to do and, if her father is upset about him blowing up half of the tunnels, he can always rebuild them like before.

    Lexie tells Hector that her father would have never allowed this. She tells Hector he is out of line and that he and the team are going out there to search for Abe and her mother. They may need medical attention or even a hospital. Hector laughs and says that there is no way they survived back to back blasts like that. He reminds Lexie they saw them both get crushed by debris and tells her she needs to accept they are gone.

    Lexie: If my husband and mother are dead, I will make sure that you suffer as much pain as they did! Now...you and the team get out there...NOW!!! MY HUSBAND AND MY MOTHER ARE OUT THERE, DAMNIT!!!

    Meanwhile, in a supply closet in the tunnels, Steve manages to push the closet door open through the rubble. He is amazed by all the destruction left in the wake of the explosions. He is right outside the secret room door and hears Lexie going off on Hector. Steve realizes that Abe and Celeste must have gotten caught in the blasts. He observes the large wall of debris in front of him and realizes there is nothing he can do...on his own. He will have to get help...even if it blows his cover and gets him in trouble with the boss. Steve turns around and walks through the tunnels, looking for a way to get back to the surface for help.

    Behind the massive wall of debris and rubble, Abe wakes up and manages to pull a beam and some rocks and rubble off him. Celeste is right under him since he was shielding her. He tries to get her to wake up but his efforts are futile. He then begins to cry out Celeste's name and begs her to wake up. He then realizes she isn't breathing and panics. He tries to control his emotions and tells himself she needs CPR and begins to administer it.

    -At the Spectator, Hope is with Frankie and Kayla. They are both trying to convince Kayla to reconsider going after Steve. Greta comes out of the media room to join them and says that Jack and Billie are still working. Frankie says good and gets back to Kayla. Hope asks Kayla how she expects to go after Steve without even knowing where he is. Kayla mentions how the MCF instructed Steve to go to Europe on the surveillance video. Frankie points out to Kayla that they have no idea where as they couldn't make out that much on the video. Kayla says she will track him down.

    Frankie laughs and tells Kayla she is being stupid. He is not going to let her do this as she has no idea where Steve is specifically and would be walking into danger. Greta and Hope both agree with Frankie. Kayla says she doesn't care what anyone says. She is going after Steve. She will find her husband.

    Meanwhile, in the media room, Jack and Billie are still finished some surveilance tapes. They are still shocked over Alan being in cahoots with the MCF and over the MCF blackmailing Steve. Jack says he just hopes Kayla doesn't go after Steve. That would be stupid and he wouldn't want that. He also hopes Steve is ok. Billie says this mess keeps going from bad to worse. First, Marlena and now, Steve. She tells Jack that these are people they know and that this is serious. Jack agrees. Billie tells Jack that Shane left a message for Roman at the SPD after he looked over the tape with them earlier to let Roman know that the MCF may be going after Lexie in Europe based on what the MCF told Steve.

    Jack asks Billie if she made sure to tell Shane to stay silent. Billie says he promised to as long as they keep him posted. He will just say that his ISA intel gave him the info. Billie wonders why Lexie is in Europe with a team of Dimera henchmen. Jack isn't sure but says they need to stop sitting around. He thinks they have gotten all they can from the survielance tapes. It's time to move on to something else. Jack thinks it's time to skip over collecting evidence and trying to bust the case open. It's gotten too personal and serious. Jack tells Billie it's time to lay a trap for the MCF.

    -On the pier, Kate is visibly shaken now that she is face to face with the MCF.

    MCF (via voice changer): It's ok, Katie girl. I won't bite.
    Kate: Why are you doing this? What do you want? You have been lurking for months. You shot Roman and Stefano...been torturing people...why? And that voice changer...
    MCF: I am getting really sick of answering that. I have my reasons. Let's leave it at that. The voice changer is used for obvious reasons.
    Kate: Why are you helping Nicole? Why do you want to keep that child away from...
    MCF: I have my reasons.
    Kate: You did it, didn't you? I overheard Nicole talking about a phone call she had gotten from someone claiming to be responsible for her and Eric finding the baby. You made sure they found Carrie's baby, didn't you?
    MCF: Sure did. I intercepted the child and made sure he went where I wanted him too. I had a little help but I did most of the work as usual.
    Kate: Who helped...
    MCF: Don't even ask because I won't tell.

    The MCF circles around Kate and stands behind her, gently caressing her neck and cheek.

    Kate: Why did you come to see me in person? You have only spoken to me on the phone until now.
    MCF: I didn't plan to meet you. I saw you walking and thought I would say hi. Just trying to be polite.
    Kate (shaking with tears streaming down her cheeks): My, how considerate. You must be a man. Touching a woman and making her unconfortable...feeling superior and invincible. Trying to force an attraction that just isn't there...you are definitely a man.
    MCF: Perhaps...but might I be a woman too? Women can be attracted to other women and those legs, Katie girl. Those luscious lips...you are just one vivacious package that any gender would be attracted too in my opinion.
    Kate: Go to hell!! Leave me alone!!

    The MCF turns Kate around and then tightly holds her in his or her arms.

    MCF: Not until I am finished with you!!

    -Shane is driving in his car, desperate to find Sami and Lucas to tell them that he saw Will with Alan and that Alan is in cahoots with the MCF. He can't get a hold of Lucas but is able to get to get Eric. He asks where Sami is and hears she is at Will's school for a meeting. Shane then makes a beeline for Salem High.

    -At Salem High, Sami is meeting with Will's principal. Principal Wexler tells Sami that Will's grades are good and that his teachers haven't noticed anything wrong. He is just as quiet as he ever was and still hangs around with the same few friends it seems. Sami says that sounds right. He never had many friends. She tells Principal Wexler that Will had a rough year and he was also disappointed with not making the basketball team. Principal Wexler understands but says there doesn't seem to be anything wrong that has been noted and Will hasn't even been in his office since last May when he got in trouble for a stink bomb.

    Sami is confused and says she doesn't recall that. Principal Wexler says it happened and he has the report in Will's file. He says that Will's uncle came because he was told that Will's parents were out of town. Sami says that is impossible. Mostly all of Will's uncles were on Morgan Island last May with her and Lucas dealing with a family situation. She asks Principal Wexler what this uncle looked like. Principal Wexler states that he called himself Uncle Eric and he was about 6'1', medium build, dirty blonde hair, and seemed nice and genuine. Sami says that her brother wasn't even in town but admits that description is very close to her brother's. She is confused and wonders what is going on.

    -Back in the Parison tunnels, Hector tells Lexie that he and the team can't do what she is asking. It's a hopeless mission. No one could've survived two successive blasts like that. Lexie refuses to beleive that and orders Hector to lead the team and to try. Hector refuses, saying he did what was best and that she is wrong in thinking her father wouldn't agree. He reminds Lexie that she didn't care for them anymore anyway...at least not from what Mr. Dimera said. Hector tells her to just let it go. They will have to lie low in the secret room just in case the authorites arrive but, after a day or so, they can move on.

    Hector returns to the team and Lexie is left alone in her thoughts. He eyes fill with tears as she recalls special moments with Abe and Celeste. She tells herself they can't be gone but looks out at the debris and rubble and breaks down in tears.

    Lexie: I never wanted this. I treated you both so horribly. Theo...his father and his grandmother...I am so sorry.

    Hector comes over and closes the secret room's door, telling Lexie to relax and just accept reality. It will help her move on. Lexie snarls at him as he walks away. She then covers her face with her hands as she breaks down in tears again.

    Meanwhile, Steve arrives with the French police. They ask Steve how he knows about the explosions and what he was doing down there. Steve explains that he heard the explosions and that the explosions opened a secret door on the side of the building. He adds that he could hear what sounded like two people screaming. Steve points to the building and the French police examine the door and see that it leads to the tunnels below Paris. They tell Steve to stay with them as they may have questions for him later. He agrees and says he planned on sticking with them. He wants to make sure those people in there are all right. Steve then follows the police down into the tunnels.

    Behind the wall of rubble and debris, Abe manages to get a pulse and is releived. He begs Celeste to wake up. Theo needs her. He needs her. He then holds her in his arms as tears well up in his eyes, praying to God that he doesn't lose her.

    -Back at The Spectator, Billie asks Jack what he is thinking. He says he thinks it's time to pay Marlena a visit. She may be able to tell them where the MCF lurks around or something that may lead to them. Billie doubts it but Jack thinks she may slip up, especially with her personality fluctuations. Billie reluctantly agrees to go along, warning Jack they better not get caught or they will be in alot of trouble. Jack says they are both experienced at undercover work so it should be ok. Billie reminds him of the undercover work they did at the bar and how bad that ended up. Jack says that won't happen again. Jack tells her they need to get going now as it's easier to go undercover with the night shift on. He drags Billie off with him as he exits the room.

    Meanwhile, Frankie and Hope are still trying to get true to Kayla. Hope tells her to at least wait to see if they get more information first. Greta tells Kayla that might be better then her going to Europe and not knowing where to look. Kayla reluctantly agrees, realizing that sounds sensible. She will wait 24 hours but no longer. She knows her husband needs her and she is going to go after hime. Jack and Billie come out and tell Frankie and Greta that they are off to handle something and that they will update them later as there is no time to waste. Frankie and Greta say ok and wonder what is going on. They yell out to them to be careful. Hope tells Kayla she is doing the right thing. Kayla reiterates she is only waiting 24 hours. No longer. She knows Steve needs her. She can feel it.

    -Back on the pier, the MCF reminds Kate of his or her words. If she tells anyone about their conversations or of their meeting, he or she will make sure her family is destroyed...or worse. He or she reminds Kate she should want to keep the truth anyway. The paternity of Carrie's baby will cause tension between Lucas and Austin and will force their siblings to take sides. It would be one big mess. Kate realizes it's true but still thinks this is wrong. The MCF doesn't care and tells Kate to do as she is told or face his or her wrath. That is her choice. The MCF then lets go of his or her grip on her and tells Kate to have a nice evening as he or she caresses her cheek.

    The MCF then leaves as Kate get a chill off her spine. She then breaks down in tears as she wonders how they all got into this mess and how they are all ever going to get out of it.

    -Sami is leaving Salem High and is racing to her car in the parking lot. She wants to get home to talk to Will and Lucas about her meeting with Principal Wexler as she is still confused and wants answers from Will. Shane's car pulls up and he races out. Sami sees him and asks what he is doing there. Shane says he has something important to tell her. Sami tells Shane she has no interesting speaking to him after the lies he told about Carrie. He exposed her to Alan for months and kept the fact that Alan was back from all of them.

    Shane apologizes but says this is important and he should've told her before. Sami tries to interupt again but Shane talks over her and says he saw Will with Alan. Sami's face turns pale as she asks him when. Shane says it was the night Carrie went into labor. Will was calling him "Ace" and had said it was nothing. That "Ace" was his friend and nothing more. He admits being suspicious of Alan and attacking him but says nothing seemed wrong. Sami goes off on Shane for not coming forward and for lying again, just like he did about Alan before and about Carrie being with him.

    Shane apologizes but says there is more. He explains that he just saw video evidence that Alan is working with the MCF.

    Sami: Wait...the same person who shot my father and Stefano? The same person who has been lurking around Salem and who manipulated my mother into working with him? The person suspected of blowing up my apartment?
    Shane: Yeah. I just found out tonight.
    Sami: Oh my God...damnit Shane. You should have told me about seeing Alan with Will sooner. With this latest information, don't you see how dangerous Alan is. You exposed Carrie and Will to him and lied and...
    Shane: I'm sorry, Sami. I didn't think the Will and Alan thing was big at the time. So much was happening that night with Carrie and all. Nothing seemed wron. It just seemed like Alan was going to use Will to get under your skin or something. Maybe by befriending and getting him to side with him over you...I mean, Alan dropped out of sight shortly after Carrie gave birth.
    Sami: Excuses...you screwed up again. Bottom line. Wait...Principal Wexler...the description of the person that came when Will got in trouble for the stink bomb.
    Shane: What are you...
    Sami: I was told in my meeting that Will got in trouble last May for a stink bomb. Principal Wexler told me that Will's Uncle Eric came to handle the problem. Only thing is...Eric wasn't in town then and we were all on Morgan Island. The description given was that the guy was about 6'1', medium build with dirty blonde hair.
    Shane: Alan...
    Sami: Oh my God...that's it. He did something to Will. That is what's going on with my son. That bastard did something.

    Sami then gets in her car as Shane asks where she is going.

    Sami: Just stay out of it, Shane. You've done enough to my family. Just stay out of it...stay out of my family's business.

    Sami then speeds off as Shane looks on, worried about where all this may be leading. While in her car, Sami says:

    Sami: I have to get home and tell Lucas what I learned. We have to get the truth out of Will once and for all. I just pray that I'm wrong because if Alan hurt my son...I will kill him. And that's a promise.

    The screen then fades out a determined Sami's face.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Victor to Bo: Long time, no see.
    Hope to JT: I'm not sure your daddy is ever coming home.
    Roman to Marlena (with Barbara): I'm not giving up on you.
    Katherine to Cal: You remembered something...didn't you?
    Sami (with Lucas) to Will: I want the truth, Will. Please. Did Alan hurt you?

    -At Kayla suite, Hope and Shane are visiting and showing Kayla is reading the letter Steve sent to Alice for Marie's funeral. Hope thanks Shane for staying. Shane says it was no problem as he had to bring the letter over anyway after examining it for clues. Plus, he cares about Kayla even though she is mad at him. Kayla thanks Hope for telling her so quickly about the letter and tells them both that she thinks Steve sent this not just for Alice but as a sign that he is ok. In a way, Kayla think that Steve wants her to come and find him. Hope tells Kayla not to do what she is thinking of. Kayla says she just can't stand by. She needs to go and find him.

    Meanwhile, at the Spectator, Jack is still stunned by what he sees. He says this now gives hims a greater reason to bring this damn cloaked person down. Billie, frankie, and Greta can't believe what they are seeing either. The camera then pans around to reveal Steve talking with the MCF during their meeting on the pier a few weeks ago. Jack can't beleive the MCF blackmailed Steve into working for him or her. Frankie tells Jack that they need to call Kayla. Jack is against it as he doesn't want the SPD to know what they are up to. Greta and Billie agree with Frankie. Steve has been missing and Kayla needs to be told. It's only right. Jack reluctantly agrees.

    Back at Kayla's suite, Hope and Shane are trying to discourage Kayla from going out and searching for Steve. With the MCF on the loose, it's far too dangerous and who knows if Steve's disappearance has anything to do with that. Kayal tells Shane to save his breath. He is in no position to advise her on anything after everything that happened earlier this year. Shane hangs his head in shame, wondering when she and others will forgive him for his mistakes. Kayla tells Hope and Shane that Steve would've never been able to send the letter if he were in danger. The phone rings and Kayla answers. She tells the person she will be right down. Kayla tells Hope and Shane that was Jack and that he has a lead on Steve. Kayla grabs her coat and Hope and Shane follow.

    -In the Dimera catacombs underneath Paris, Steve continues to follow Lexie and the team of Dimera henchmen. He is bored and finds what he is doing totally useless but realizes he has to do this for his family...to protect them and also to possibly get his life back.

    Abe and Celeste continue to tail Lexie from a short distance behind. Abe says he feels like they are just going around in circles. Celeste is spacing out and Abe asks if she is ok. Celeste says she feels great danger ahead and that someone they don't know about is watching. Abe wonders what she may be speaking of.

    Meanwhile, Lexie is leading the Dimera henchmen when Hector calls her out and says that this is stupid. They have been searching all of France for days and they have been searching these catacombs for hours. Hector insists there is nothing down there and they should move on. Lexie reminds him that with her father in a coma she is in charge and calls the shots. She remembers being down in these tunnels more then a decade ago right before they exploded with Rachel Blake fired her gun at her father. She notes that her father must have had them rebuilt. She tells Hector that she knows he is an expert on her father's property and secret lairs but she also knows there are more secret passages and rooms down there as Stefano did keep Marlena in captivity underground for months more then 10 years ago. Hector says he knows.

    Lexie tells Hector to just listen to her instructions and there won't be any trouble. She then says that she appreciates his opinion and knowledge but instructs him to let her make the final calls. Lexie then walks away and tells the team to keep moving as a frustrated Hector looks on.

    -In Carrie and Austin's room at the Salem Inn, they are laying in their bed after making love. They make a toast to their future. Carrie thanks Austin again for a beautiful afternoon. She needed it and it feels good to have something happy to think about. Austin was hoping that she would feel that way. Austin then tells Carrie that he has an idea he does want to run by her that he has been thinking about since deciding to propose. Carrie says she is listening. Austin tells Carrie he thinks they should get married as soon as possible and asks what she thinks. Carrie is stunned.

    -On the east side of Salem, Kate is walking around near the boat docks trying to clear her head. She remembers the MCF's words to her on the phone and hates that she has to keep what she knows a secret. She does admit that the MCF had a point. The paternity of Carrie's baby could destroy her family and could cause a great deal of tenson between Austin and Lucas, even moreso then before. It wouldn't be good for the baby either. Kate knows the MCF means business based on how he or she has been wreaking havoc in the past few months. She knows that he or she will come after her and her loved ones and destroy them, or worse. She has no choice but to keep the secret. She then begins to break in tears again over her being forced to remain silent.

    -On the pier, Nicole arrives for her meeting with the MCF and is looking around. She recalls him or her calling her back as she was leaving her suite and saying to meet on pier 53 and she is at pier 53. She then hears someone walk up behind her.

    MCF(via voice changer): Hello, Nicole. I am pleased you could make it.
    Nicole: Did I have a choice? So...you are the infamous cloaked figure.
    MCF: In the flesh. Now, let's get down to business as I don't want to be seen.
    Nicole: What's the deal with the voice changer thing?
    MCF: It hides my identity. No questions. Just listen. I already stated to you my desire to help you as I have my reasons for wanting you to hold on to Carrie's child.
    Nicole: Ok. Tell me something I don't know.
    MCF: I will help you conceal the truth, much like I did today with stopping Kate, but you must be willing to help me when the time comes in whatever endeavor I wish to use you in. Understood?
    Nicole: Well, I don't want to kill anybody or kidnap anyone...look, I know what you are capable of. I mean, you did shoot Roman from what I hear and I did hear you shot Stefano I guess. I know your dangerous and I just don't want to commit cold-blooded murder.

    The MCF grabs Nicole.

    MCF: You must be willing to do what is necessary!! You love that child?! Do you want to lose everything?!
    Nicole: No! Of course, I don't and I love Evan. I have since I first found him. And you do realize your hurting me.

    The MCF lets go.

    MCF: Sorry. Look, I am the one that intercepted the baby and made sure you and Eric found it. I can easily make sure you lose him just as...
    Nicole: I get it.
    MCF: I should also say that I know all about you and Victor. In fact, I have your little faux interlude for Maggie's benefit on tape. Now, what would Eric say to that? What would everyone who thinks you have changed say...
    Nicole: Fine. Right now I don't really care what Eric thinks but...
    MCF: You still love him and want to try to work things out. I can see it.
    Nicole: Yeah...
    MCF: Well, I just want to make sure we understand each other. Do you agree to my terms? When the time comes, you must be willing to aid me.
    Nicole: Yeah. Fine. Whatever I have to do.
    MCF: Good. Now there is one thing I want to do as I must get going. I can't always be around but I am giving you another ally to help you should you need something and I'm not available.
    Nicole: Who?
    MCF: Come on out!

    Nicole is stunned to see Alan appear from behind some crates. Nicole wonders what the hell is going on. The MCF reveals that Alan has been working for him or her all along and that he is available for her becking call. Alan cautions Nicole not to take advantage as he isn't a whipping boy. The MCF tells them both that he or she will be in touch and tells them to discuss matters amongst themselves. The MCF reminds Nicole of their deal before leaving as Nicole tells the MCF for the last time that she is fine with it. The MCF leaves, snickering. Nicole then looks at Alan, who is staring at her, and she asks him what he is looking at.

    -At The Spectator, Kayla has arrived with Hope and Shane and Jack is showing her the surveilance tape from the pier. Jack says it was from one the camera installed on some of the piers so to a growing amound of muggings. They are randowly placed along the piers. Kayla says she now understands why Steve left. The MCF threatened those he loves and also was behind his having those memory setbacks. She says it all makes sense now as the MCF was drugging Steve to stop him from remembering his whole life in hopes to use Steve for his or her own gain. Kayla says she needs to go after Steve as she now knows he is in Paris after hearing the discussion on the tape.

    Shane then takes Billie aside while the others are talking and asks her if they discovered anything else. Billie begs Shane not to tell the SPD, Roman, or anyone else. Hope comes over to and Billie begs her to do the same. Billie tells them both that they are getting more done the the SPD or ISA since they are running an investigation under the radar. Shane and Hope realize she has a point and Shane agrees to be silent as long as he is kept in the know about everything. Billie agrees. Hope says she will still silent too and tells Billie to let her know if she can help as she is a cop on sabbatical. Billie thanks her. Hope returns to Kayla, Frankie, Greta, and Jack as they all try to discourage Kayla from going but she insists. She says her husband needs her and they can fight the MCF together. She tells them all that they can't stop her no matter how hard they try.

    Meanwhile, Shane asks Billie if they found anything else out from the surveilance tapes. Billie says they now know that the MCF was the one that blew up Sami's apartment. Shane isn't surprised. Billie then says they also found out Alan is in cahoots with the MCF. Shane is shocked and wonders why Alan would be. He then remembers he left Carrie at Alan's mercy for months while covering for her. Shane is appalled that he put Carrie in that kind of danger. Billie tells him he made a mistake and people will forgive him in time. She knows the feeling. Shane then remembers something else...about the night Carrie went into labor. Shane recalls seeing Will on the pier with Alan. Shane is alarmed and tells Billie he has to go and to tell Hope and the others he will be in touch. Billie asks if he is ok but he doesn't answer as he leaves in a rush. Billie wonders what that is about.

    -Back in Carrie and Austin's bedroom, Carrie isn't so sure getting married so soon is a good idea or even possible. Austin says he talked to Fr. Jansen before proposing just to find out and he has some dates in mid-late May. Carrie isn't sure that gives her enough time. Austin reminds Carrie of how precious and short life is and how much time they wasted already. They should know...there has been so much pain and loss. Carrie looks down and says she knows that too well. Austin says that is why he doesn't want to wait. They can make it official and this time make it for forever. Then, whatever comes their way, they will be together and face it together. At least they can be happy and, if something happens to one of them, they can at least leave this earth knowing they made the dream come true and that they were truly happy.

    A crying Carrie smiles and says that she can't say no to all that. She agrees to marry him ASAP but says they need to begin planning now and talk to Fr. Jansen. Austin agrees and tells Carrie she has made him so happy. She says he has done the same for her. They then kiss and Austin promises her that this time what they have is forever. Carrie smiles and they then begin to make love.

    -On the pier, Nicole tells Alan she thinks he is slime but they will just have to get along. He gives her his cell number and tells her to call if she needs anything. Nicole asks him why he is involved in this and acting like some foot soldier. Alan says he doesn't have a choice. It's the only way he could get his revenge. Alan tells Nicole to call if she needs anything as he has to go before being spotted. Alan says he will see her around and leaves as Nicole wonders what kind of mess she is involved in.

    Meanwhile, on the east side of the piet, Kate is walking when she hears someone following her. She asks who is there and no one answers


    Kate: Who's there? COME OUT, DAMNIT!!
    MCF: Well, if it isn't the divine Ms. Roberts.

    Kate turns around, horrified at seeing the MCF in person.

    MCF: It's always much better to talk in person, isn't it.

    A terrified and trembling Kate holds on to the railing, trying to maintain her balance as she faces down the person who has been terrorizing and manipulating Salem for months.

    -Back in the catacombs below Paris, Lexie is leading her team through the tunnels. Hector is getting more and more agitated and turns around a little. He notices Abe and Celeste, who quickly jump behind a corner to hide but, not before Hector has noticed them. Hector whispers into Lexie's ear they have trouble. Lexie tells him to take care of it. Steve can see that something is up and wonders if he has been spotted. He manages to sneak around Lexie and her men unseen and finds a small supply closet full of candles and tools to hide in.

    Hector opens a secret room door in a wall and tells Lexie and the team to get inside. Lexie asks what he is up to. Hector says he is getting rid of the pest and tells Lexie to get in the room to protect herself before he blows up the east tunnels. Lexie is stunned that he would blow up any of the tunnels and tells him to just set a trap for whoever is following them and then lock them up or something. Hector says that won't do. Whoever those people are, they must be exterminated so they don't mention a word to anyone about anything.

    Hector opens a small control panel on the wall inside the secret room just as Abe and Celeste, who are hiding behind a wall, come out thinking they are in the clear. Abe and Celeste, not know Lexie and her crew are in the secret room, think they are far behind Lexie and her team and begin to walk fast to catch up. Hector puts his finger on the button, telling Lexie one push and their problem is solved. Just then, Lexie sees Abe and Celeste from the secret room. Lexie makes eye contact with both of them and then sees Hector about to push the button

    Lexie: You listen to me!! Don't do this!!
    Hector: It must be done!

    Hector places his finger on the button and pushes down.

    Lexie: NO!!!

    There is then a loud explosion. Steve, who is hiding in the closet, covers himself from falling debris. Abe tries to shield Celeste from falling debris. They end up separated. Abe then looks above him and sees a big piece of debris break off. He yells out to Celeste to "LOOK OUT!!". She doesn't hear so Abe lunges for her and the debris collapses on both of them. Hector then prepares to push the button again.

    Lexie: What are you doing?
    Hector: Time to finish them off...with the big bang. Just one more push...
    Lexie: NO!!!

    Hector pushes the buttom and the screen fades to black as the sound of a huge explosion can be heard.

    Kayla to Frankie (and Hope): You two can't stop me. I am going after Steve. I am going to find my husband.
    Jack to Billie (with Greta): I think it's time we pay a visit...to Marlena.
    Kate to MCF: Why are you doing this?
    Shane to Sami: There is something you should know.
    Lexie to Hector: If my husband and mother are dead, I will make sure that you suffer as much pain as they did!
    Steve (looking at the destroyed tunnels): Man...now what?

    Martina McBride (Nora Montana): The country music superstar appears as the wife to Jed Montana (played by fellow country music star Billy Ray Cyrus) and sources say she will appear in around 3-4 episodes. "It was alot of fun," McBride enthuses. "I am grateful they thought of me and it was great working with Billy. I am glad they added a little country flair to the story we are in with Cal and Katherine. It was great working with Terri [Garber, Katherine] and Josh [Taylor, Cal]." Also, look for a very romantic and magical performance from Martina during her brief stint. More on this in next week's Insider.

    Monday April 16: Danger and tragedy brings Abe and Celeste together. Meanwhile, Sami makes a troubling discovery and gets more disturbing news from Shane.
    Tuesday April 17: Victor finds Bo and Hope makes an emotional plea.
    Friday April 20: Cassie gets orders from the MCF as Sami goes out in search of Alan.

    Next Week: The Deveraux house is ransacked. Jack and Billie come to a horrifying realization. Cal and Katherine begin to have doubts about their wedding. Marlena receives a message and then plots her escape. Maggie and Julie's guilt eats away at them. Doug wakes up. Carrie accomplishes her mission. Will tries to keep the truth buried for everyone's sake. The plan to bust the MCF is put into action. Lexie and her henchmen move on...to Italy.

    -At The Spectator, Jack is with Billie and Greta in the media room. Frankie enters the room with some lunch. Greta thinks it may be time to take a break and get some sleep. Afterall, they have been looking through the surveillance tapes since late last night. Jack says they can take a break but he has no plans to. He wants to break the MCF case open once and for all. Billie tells Jack they have already looked through so many tapes and nothing. Jack then spots something and tells them all to look. Billie, Greta, and Frankie are stunned. Billie thinks this may be their break.

    We then see they are looking at surveilance camera footage from the convenience store camera across from Sami and Lucas's apartment building. Jack says he requested footage of the night Sami's apartment exploded because he felt it may have something to do with the MCF as he or she appeared publicly shortly thereafter and it seems he was right. Billie is stunned to see the MCF outside the building. Jack rewinds the tape and all four can see the MCF enter and then leave the building right before the bomb in Sami's apartment went off. Jack fast forwards again and Billie tells him to stop.

    They now see Alan walking up to the MCF and talking with him or her. They then see Alan leave with the MCF. Billie says she knew Alan was a creep and had a feeling he may not have really changed but to be involved with the MCF is a shock. Frankie says that they at least know who really blew up Sami's apartment now. Greta says that it appears the MCF rigged it to blow and that Alan was with Sami to provide himself with an alibi and to make himself look good. Jack takes the tape out and says he will make a copy so they can send the original back. He tells Billie, Greta, and Frankie they need to look at more tapes. This may be the beginning of them unraveling this mystery.

    -Lexie is leading a team of Dimera henchmen through the Dimera catacombs underneath the streets of Paris. One of the henchmen, Hector, tells Lexie they should turn back as they have been searching Paris and it's surrounding areas for days. Now they are searching these tunnels and have nothing. Lexie says they can't give up yet. They must search every inch of her father's secret lairs and properties for any sign of Tony. It's the only way to learn whether or not the MCF may have him or not. Lexie tells the team to continue the trek through the catacombs as a frustrated Hector follows, reluctantly.

    Meanwhile, Celeste and Abe are following a short distance behind. Abe is beginning to think this is a wild goose chase but Celeste tells Abe she has vibe that something is going to happen and that this is leading to something big. Abe says he never use to trust her feelings but he has learned to based on her track record. They see Lexie and her team leaving and continue to follow.

    Steve is also following Lexie and her team and has noticed Abe and Celeste following too. He wonders what they are up to. Steve's cell phone, which is on vibrate to avoid detection, then rings. He answers it:

    Steve: Yeah.
    MCF (via voice changer): Steven! How is the expedition going?
    Steve: Look, this is going nowhere. How's about I come home to good, old Salem USA?
    MCF: In due time, Steven. I understand that nothing may be happening but you must continue to follow Lexie and her group. I need to be updated of their movements so just keep doing what you are doing. You do remember our deal and you do understand what will happen if you choose to disobey me?
    Steve: Yeah...I get it. Don't worry. I hate what I am doing but I know what you are capable of and I need to protect my family. I may not remember them but...
    MCF: Now that is the Steven I know. Oh, and I heard about your little letter to Alice Horton. I thought I told you to not make contact...
    Steve: You just know everything, huh? Look, that woman lost her daughter and she is just a classy, wonderful person. I couldn't be there to support her and her family and, even though I don't remember her, it felt right to send a note to express my condolence. Not to mention the fact that I wanted to let Kayla know I was ok so she could spread the word. I know that someone will probably tell her about the letter but it can't be traced and I didn't put any clues to where I am in it or anything.
    MCF: Your lucky you didn't or I wouldn't be so calm right now. Just make sure it doesn't happen again, Steven. I am always forgiving on the first offense but any further offenses will result in dire consequences for you and those you care about. Understand?
    Steve: Yeah. Understand.
    MCF: Good. Now keep me up to date on what is going on and let me know if you should need any more resources available.
    Steve: Yeah.
    MCF: Good day, Steve. And good luck.

    Steve hangs up and tells himself it was a good idea not to tell the MCF about Abe and Celeste being there. He wouldn't want to drag them into this web he is in somehow.

    -In their room at the Salem Inn, Carrie asks Austin what he wants to ask her. With romantic playing in the background, Austin turns the lights off and lights some candles. He tells Carrie he just wants this to be perfect and he wants to make things work this time. He wants to do this right and hopes that this time this will last forever. Carrie is confused. Austin then gets down on one knee as Carrie looks on, stunned.

    Austin: Carrie Brady...we've been down this road before. There have been other relationships, lies, manipulations...but we've made it through it all. I think it's made us stronger. There have been mistakes made by me, by you...we've been through alot but we made it. It's been one helluva right and I want it to continue...I want to go through life with you continuing to be by my side. You are facing one of the hardest things life can throw at you. I know how much pain you are in and I want to be there for you. I want to give you something to hold on to. I want to help you live again, Carrie. I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy so I can see that gorgeous smile of yours.

    Carrie smiles as tears stream down her face.

    Austin: I wavered alot on whether I should do this because of everything but...I realized you need this. We both do. We need to live again and enjoy life again. It's time to move on, together. I have a feeling you know where this is going.
    Carrie: I think I may...
    Austin: Ok...then here it goes. Carrie Brady...your the only woman I will ever love totally and completely. Your the only woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. So...make me the happiest man in the world...and be my wife. Carrie...will you marry me?

    Carrie is silent and then begins to cover her eyes and cry. Austin asks if she is ok.

    Carrie: Yeah...I'm fine. It's just...it's been so hard lately and it's been so long since I have felt...happy. Joyous. It almost feels wrong to feel like that with everything. I love you so much. I always have...all these years. I know you are the one...I have always known.
    Austin: So...
    Carrie: This time it has to work...I don't think I could take it if it didn't. It's been so hard these past few months...
    Austin: It will work. I promise you. I am going to fight with everything I have to make sure this time it's forever.
    Carrie: Well...how can I argue with that? (laughing) I will fight just as hard too.
    Austin: Does that mean...
    Carrie: Yes, Austin. Yes, I will marry you! Again! (laughs)

    An overjoyed Austin picks her up in his arms. He then puts the ring on her finger and they kiss passionately.

    -At Nicole's suite, Kate tells Nicole it's all over. She knows everything. A shocked Nicole tries to deny all of Kate's claims but Kate tells Nicole she has Evan's medical records and she knows his DNA matches with Carrie's. Plus, she has everything Nicole just said on tape. Everything between her and Victor and something about some person that called her and claims to be the person who arranged for her and Eric to find Evan that night. Nicole tells Kate she has no idea what that's about but Kate says that doesn't matter. Nicole is going to go down and it's only a matter of time before whoever that person she is talking about is goes down too.

    Nicole looks at the tape recorder and Kate's hand and lunges for it. Both women fall to the ground and scramble for the recorder. A catfight ensues as both women roll over and scratch and claw on the floor. Kate manages to get the recorder and then slaps Nicole, sending her to the floor.

    Kate: It's all over for you, you bitch!!!

    Kate heads for the door as her cell rings. She opens the door to leave and answers her phone as well.

    Kate: Hello?
    MCF (via voice changer): Hello, Kate. Nice to speak with you again.
    Kate:You! Your the person who told me to go to Ballistix at Salem Place to see Carrie with Evan. You are the one that led me to the truth about Carrie and her baby.
    MCF: That's right. And I see you know all now.
    Kate: How do you...
    MCF: I know all, Ms. Roberts. Now, am I to assume you are going to the proper people with this info you just acquired?
    Kate: Well, you said you knew all so what do you think?
    MCF: Haha. Well, Kate my dear, don't!! Don't go to anyone. Keep it to yourself and tell no one about what you found out.
    Kate: What? Why?
    MCF: Well, think about it. Why did Carrie give up Evan in the first place? Didn't she feel that it would tear Lucas and Austin apart due to the paternity issue? That it would tear your family apart as Billie and Philip and you would have to take sides. She was afraid of what it would do to the baby, wasn't she? Think about it, Kate. Do you want to see your sons hate each other? Do you want that child to grow up in a tension-filled environment? Your family will be destroyed.
    Kate: We will deal with it. It's wrong to keep the child from his...
    MCF: Let me make this clearer, Ms. Roberts, since it's clear that you still have your heart set on revealing the truth. If you tell anyone about what you learned today, I will make sure your family is destroyed...or worse. I have that power, my dear.
    Kate: Oh my God...I wondered before but your that cloaked figure.
    MCF: Yes...and you would be wise to heed my words. They aren't threats. They are promises. Now that you realize I am the infamous cloaked figure...you should know what I am capable of based on the word going around Salem.
    Kate: What do I do?
    MCF: Simple. Do what is best for everyone. Keep the truth to yourself. You have plenty of experience in lying and withholding secrets. It should be no problem.
    Kate: I don't understand. You led me to discovering all this. Why did you want me to even find out?
    MCF: I have my reasons. Just keep your mouth shut. Understood?
    Kate (visibly shaken): Ye...yes. Yes.
    MCF: Good girl. I will be watching...and in touch.

    The MCF hangs up. Kate turns to see Nicole watching her. Kate tells Nicole she has nothing to worry about. Her secret is safe...for now. Nicole asks why. Kate says she realizes what the truth would do to Lucas and Austin given the paternity issue. She can't risk it. She tells Nicole she will hold on to the evidence she has but won't use it. Kate then tells Nicole she's lucky. Nicole smiles as Kate leaves. Nicole notices how shaken Kate was after the phone call and how scared she acted on the phone and wonders what is going on and who she talked to that changed her mind.

    -Back at The Spectator, Jack is now reviewing security footage of the New Year's Eve party. Billie asks how they were able to get access to that since the SPD still has that in evidence due to the shootout and Roman's shooting. Jack says it's from another camera the SPD never requested. Billie sees that it's tells them nothing they didn't know...that the MCF is the one that shot Roman. Jack takes the tape out and puts another in.

    Billie recaps that they know the MCF blew up Sami's apartment, shot Roman, and that he or she is in league with Alan and Marlena. Jack reminds her of James too. Billie notes that correction and says they know of the meeting JJ and Angel saw with James, Marlena, and the MCF in the park. Jack sighs, saying it's too bad there is no cameras there. Billie hopes they can find out more soon since they really have nothing so far except confirmation that the MCF blew up Sami's place.

    Greta returns and says she informed Victor of what they learned. She says he wasn't surprised as he and the SPD always had a feeling it was the MCF that blew up Sami's place, especially after Roman was shot. Greta tells them they must call Victor when they hear more and adds that Victor is sending out some men to search for Alan as he may lead to the MCF. Frankie thinks that is good thinking. Billie is watching another tape and notices something. She stops the tape and she, Jack, Frankie, and Greta are stunned. Jack can't beleive what he is seeing.

    Jack: No...not this person. It can't be. Not him.

    -Back at the Salem Inn, Carrie and Austin are enjoying their dinner. Carrie thanks Austin for giving her something to look forward to and be happy about again. He smiles and then asks if she wants to dance. As they dance, the passion builds and they begin to kiss. They pull away and Austin asks Carrie if she is sure she is ready with everything that has happened. Carrie smiles and says she is...she needs him. Now more then ever. They kiss again as Austin picks her up in his arms and carries her into the bedroom.

    -Kate is driving her car and remembers the MCF's words. She begins to shake and pulls over. She then breaks down in tears at the thought of concealing the truth from Austin, Carrie, and Lucas.

    Meanwhile, Nicole is in her suite holding Evan when her cell rings. She answers it.

    MCF (via voice changer): Hello Nicole. I hope you appreciated the help.
    Nicole: I had a feeling that may have been you that called Kate since you predicted an impending threat.
    MCF: Of course. I said I was an ally. I hope you know that now. I hope you see that you can trust me.
    Nicole: I'm still not too sure about that.
    MCF: Maybe you will be after we meet. I need to see you...at the piet. ASAP.
    Nicole: I'm not su...
    MCF: If you don't show, you can forget about my help and I will make sure you lose little Evan just as fast as you got him. That and I will see to it your life is completely destroyed. Clear?
    Nicole: Crystal...I will be there. I just need to take Evan down to the Salem Inn's daycare.
    MCF: Good. I look forward to our meeting. See you soon.

    The MCF hangs up as a worried Nicole holds Evan tightly and says:

    Nicole: I am doing this for you, Evan. All for you.

    The screen then fades out on Nicole's worried face.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Kayla to Hope (and Shane): I can't just stand by. I need to go and find him.
    Jack to Billie (with Frankie and Greta): Now I have greater reason to bring this damn cloaked person down.
    Lexie to Hector: You listen to me!! Don't do this!!
    Celeste to Abe: I feel great danger ahead and...(as Steve lurks) I feel as though someone we don't know about is watching.
    Austin to Carrie: I think we should get married as soon as possible. What do you think?
    Kate: Who's there? COME OUT, DAMNIT!!
    MCF to Nicole: I want you mee your other ally
    Nicole: What the hell?

    -At their cabin, Cal and Katherine are in bed together. Katherine still can't beleive they are engaged and tells Cal she has never felt so alive in her life. Cal says he couldn't agree more. They kiss and lovingly smile at each other. Katherine then begins to talk about how there is so much to do to plan a wedding and says she is concerned about it taking away from his therapy and so on. Cal says he has an idea that may make everything easier. Katherine asks him what it is. Cal asks Katherine how she would feel about getting married...TOMARROW!!! Katherine is stunned.

    -Kate is with Austin in his and Carrie room at the Salem Inn. They are discussing whether or not he should propose to Carrie. Kate reminds him of what she said to him a few days ago. Carrie could use something positive to hang on to in her life right now. She encourages Austin to just go ahead and do it. Carrie and him are meant to be. Austin says he was all set to propose but, with Marie's funeral and Carrie being so out of it and depressed, he just wasn't sure. Kate tells him to propose. It's the right thing to do and the worst she can do is say no, which is doubtful with how much she loves him. He smiles.

    Kate then gets a call. She answers it and then tells Austin to excuse her as she needs to take this. Kate goes outside the room.

    Kate: Ok. What do you got?
    Man (dressed in lab coat): Ok. I am at the hospital near Green Mountain where Eric and Nicole brought the baby.
    Kate:Ok. Good. It's good to know you private investigators can do that much right in such a short period of time. I know my daughter can but I wasn't sure about the rest of you. From what I heard, people of your ilk are always tedious with results.
    Man: Not me, Ms. Roberts.
    Kate: Good. It's reassuring to know you are doing what I paid you to do. So, did you sneak into the lab undetected?
    Man: Yes. I have the baby's medical records from the night Eric and Nicole admitted him. Everything is here. Blood type and everything.
    Kate: Ok. I need you to somehow make a copy of that to bring to me and I also need you to send me some of the DNA information on my cell. Send it in a text so I can crosscheck the DNA with Carrie's.
    Man: Ok. Will do.
    Kate: Just hurry and get out of there so you aren't seen. Make the copy and send the info to my cell. By time I get to University Hospital, I am hoping to have the info on my phone.
    Man: I will make sure it is.
    Kate: Great. Thanks.

    Kate hangs up and goes back into the room to tell Austin she must go. She embraces him and wishes him luck with Carrie. Austin thanks her as she leaves. Carrie enters the room. Austin asks how her hot bath was. Carrie says it was good. She feels more relaxed and better. Austin is pleased. He then asks Carrie if she would go look for his blue silk shirt. He needs it for work and he can't seem to find it. He knows she was messing with stuff in the bedroom before the funeral so he was hoping she could find it. Carrie doesn't remember moving anything but says she will go look for him.

    Carrie leaves. Austin then makes a phone call to room service, asking for a romantic lunch for two.

    -At the Hudson Street Diner, Sami is with Lucas and Eric eating lunch. Sami says she was happy Eric could join them. Eric says he had nothing else to do with Nicole and him split up and her having not called him yet. Lucas tells Eric he would be better off cutting his losses. Sami tells Eric she knows he loves her but she agrees with Lucas. Sami reminds Eric of what he told her and Lucas and says it sounds like it's pretty clear Nicole is up to something. Eric then tells both of them that if Nicole is up to something, he will find out what it is. That is a promise.

    -Nicole is with baby Evan at Salem Place. She sits down on a bench and then gets a phone call. She answers "Hello" repeatedly with no response. She can hear breathing and begs the person to just answer her. She isn't in the mood.

    Voice: Aww...poor Nikki. Too bad I don't care what mood you are in.
    Nicole: Who is this?

    The person is revealed to be....THE MCF!!! The MCF, via his or her voice changer, tells Nicole:

    MCF: Nevermind. Let's just say...I am someone who cares...about me, that is. Nonetheless, what happens to you and your newly adopted child is of great interest to me.
    Nicole: Why? Who are you?
    MCF: I'm an ally. I know everything, Nicole. I know you went to Victor. I know you helped him by pretending to sleep with him to push Maggie away. I know Victor pulled strings to get you that baby and your job at Titan. I actually know far more then you do.
    Nicole: I don't...
    MCF: There is something you must know. I called to warn you of an impending threat to your happiness.
    Nicole: Why do you care? I don't understa...
    MCF: Just listen. Carrie Brady's claims the other day were true. Baby Evan is her child.
    Nicole: WHAT?! How do you know this?
    MCF: Because I am the one that made sure you ended up with the baby. I intercepted the child after she gave him up and I was the one who left it for you and Eric to find. Trust me...
    Nicole: Why should I? I don't even know you. In fact, you sound like that cloaked person the police are after.
    MCF: Look, I am trying to help you. Someone is very close to finding out everything and you need to be ready. You need to know you have an ally in me and the rest of those involved in my operation.
    Nicole: Operation? What the...
    MCF: All I need to know is if you are willing to do what is necessary, just like the Nicole of old. Are you willing to do whatever it takes to hold on to your child?
    Nicole: I knew Carrie was on to something. It was all too much of a coincidence. Damn it. Yeah...I am not going to lose Evan...I am not going to lose anything. I will do whatever it takes.
    MCF: Good. I will be in touch soon. Don't be alarmed if you have recieve a special visitor at some point. As I said, someone is unraveling the secret behind baby Evan as we speak.
    Nicole: Who?
    MCF: We'll talk soon. Just maintain your cool and await my call.

    The MCF then hangs up as a confused Nicole wonders if that truly was the MCF and why whoever it was has an interest in her and Evan. She then wonders if the person on the phone was truly telling the truth about Evan being Carrie's. She decides she can't take a chance and that she needs to be vigilant. Nicole holds Evan and promises never to let him go.

    -At Uniersity Hospital, Kate appears outside the hospital records room dressed like a nurse. She hopes no one catches her. She uses the master keys she obtained to open the door. She sits down at the computer and begins to look for Carrie's files. She manages to pull them up and cross checks them with the info she recieved on baby Evan and she is stunned by what she sees.

    Kate: Oh my God...I don't beleive this. It's true...Evan is Carrie's son.

    -Back at the cabin, Katherine is stunned by Cal's idea. She asks Cal why he feels the need to rush. Cal explains to Katherine there is no reason to wait. They can married quick and start their new life. Life is too short and this way they don't prolong his therapy. Besides, he wants to have a private ceremony and he thinks getting married where they are is important. It's where they fell in love and it's almost like the place they will always remember as the place where they started with a clean slate. It's the place where their new lives began.

    Katherine says she can she he is passionate about this and admits she actually thinks getting married in the mountains near the cabin would be romantic. Cal adds that as much as he loves the people he cares about in Salem, he thinks it's best to do this away from all of them. Afterall, it is a new life. Cal asks Katherine what she thinks. Katherine, after some hesitation, agrees. She says it sounds romantic. Cal assures her she isn't making a mistake and says that this all feels right. Katherine agrees. They both embrace and begin to kiss, leading to them beginning to make love yet again.

    -Back at the diner, Sami asks Eric how he plans to find out what Nicole is up to. Eric says he knows that Nicole will talk to him eventually. He knows that she loves him and that one of her dreams is them being a family with Evan. Eric tells Sami and Lucas that, eventually, he will get the truth out of Nicole. Once him and her begin talking again, it's bound to happen. It will just be hard to hold it together all the time around him. He already knows so much of this ties into what her and Victor were up to. Sami begs him not to set himself up to get hurt. Lucas agrees and tells Eric not to stay in his marriage just to find out what Nicole is up to.

    Eric says he won't. He still wants to make things work with Nicole. He loves her. He also wants to find out what is going on with her and he intends to give it his best shot to make that happen. Lucas asks Sami if she should be going to Salem High yet. Sami says she has a few hours as her meeting with Will's principal isn't for a few more hours. Eric tells her that he hopes she find something out. He knows how worried Lucas and her have been. Lucas tells Eric worried isn't the word for it. Sami agrees it's been hard but says she hopes that speaking with the principal and teachers may help. They may be able to ask some students some questions or something.

    Either way, something has to be done. Sami admits to both of them she knows something is wrong with Will and that he needs help but, for some reason, he isn't telling anyone or letting anyone help him. Sami promises both of them that her family has been through too much lately and she isn't about to let her son's life fall apart either. Lucas says he feels the same and Eric agrees. Sami then thinks about Carrie and tells Lucas and Eric that she hopes she is doing better and that Austin has found a way to help her begin to move on from her baby's "death."

    Meanwhile, Carrie tells Austin she found his shirt and that it was actually right in the top drawer. Austin says he must've missed it. Carrie asks him what is going on as he is acting strange, like he wanted her out of the room so he told that shirt lie. Austin smiles and says he is surprised she didn't see right through it sooner. Carrie says she isn't on her game with everything going on. She asks what Austin is up to.

    There is then a knock at the door. Austin opens it and room service brings in a romantic lunch for two complete with champaigne. Carrie asks Austin what is going on. Austin turns on some romantic music and tells Carrie he has a very special surprise afternoon planned for her but, first, there is something very important he needs to ask her. Carrie looks at Austin, puzzled at where all this is going

    -Kate is back at the Salem Inn and is now with a hotel maid, who she seems to know. The maid tells Kate that they miss her at the Salem Inn. Kate says misses the service at the Salem Inn too but she just felt the offer to move into a suite was too good to pass up. The maid understands and tells Kate that they are at the room. Kate thanks her again for doing this favor. She knew her friend was staying at the Salem Inn but forgot the room number and she can't seem to find the paper she wrote the room info on. She just wants to setup a surprise for her in celebration of her new baby and says she has arranged for some people to come in to do some decorations and so forth.

    The maid says it's fine as she has known Kate from her time living at the Salem Inn. She knows she is trustworthy. Kate slyly smiles as the maid opens the door and lets her in. Kate thanks her again and assures the maid that no one will know about this and gives her a wad of cash for her trouble. The maid thanks her. Kate closes the door and begins to search the room. She then hears someone outside the room and realizes she must hide. Just then, Nicole comes in as Kate hides in a closet. Nicole puts everything down and sits down on the couch with Evan.

    Nicole: I am not going to lose you, Evan. I have come too far. I helped Victor break things off with Maggie by pretending to be in bed with him just so he would give me that job and help me adopt you. I do what I have to do and I will again if I have to. If what this person who called me said is true and you are Carrie's baby, then I will do whatever it takes to make sure she never takes you from me. She wanted to give you up and, if what this person said is true, it's not my fault that he or she intercepted you and made sure Eric and I found you. If what I was told is true, you and I are victims in this, sweetie. I won't let anyone take you. Don't you worry.

    Kate then bursts out of the closet, tape recorder in hand.

    Kate: HA!!!

    Nicole jumps in fright and then turns around, stunned to see Kate.

    Kate: I am glad I brought this tape recorder. I had a feeling it may come in handy.
    Nicole: Kate...
    Kate: Yes, Nicole. It's me and I know everything. I know the baby is Carrie's. I know what you did for Victor and what he did for you. I know everything and I have all the proof I need. DNA, medical records, everything you just said while I was in the closet....I got ya, honey. I know everything and you are going down....YOU EVIL, CONNIVING BITCH!!!

    A worried and frightened Nicole holds Evan tightly close to her as a victorious and confident Kate smiles in delight as the screen fades out.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Abe to Celeste: I am beginning to wonder if this is nothing but a wild goose chase.
    Lexie: I am not giving up. Not yet.
    Steve to MCF: This is going nowhere, man. How's about I come home to good, old Salem USA?
    Austin to a crying Carrie: Make me the happiest man in the world...and be my wife.
    Kate to Nicole: It's all over for you.
    Billie to Jack (with Greta and Frankie): Oh my...look at this. I think we have a break.

    The MCF returns to his or her hideaway in the abandoned warehouse office after stopping Alan and James from carrying out their plans for Jack and Billie. James and Alan follow the MCF into the office.

    MCF (via voice changer): So, do we understand each other? Everything goes through me. You wait for my orders.
    James: Yes. Like I said, I just thought you would be ok with it given Jack and Billie tried to interrogate me undercover. I mean, they have been major thorns all along and I just thought that were becoming even more of a problem. I wanted to take care of it.
    MCF: Well, next time ask. I know everything Jack and Billie did. I know they went undercover and tried to get answers from you. I know everything that everyone does around here. How do you think I found out what you two were up to tonight?
    Alan: How do you know all this? It's like your always one step ahead.
    MCF: Nevermind how I know. I must be one step ahead or none of my plans will come to fruition.
    James: Well, I will heed your words. Next time I will run it by you. I just wanted to make them...
    MCF: Pay? I know. I know you blame them and so many others for what happened to your family. Jack and Billie were pivotal in what happened to them. I understand that but, as I have told you, you will get the revenge you seek in due time. Patience, my friend.
    James: I just...my family's death must be avenged. If not for Jack and Billie...if not for the way Roman Brady and the SPD...they all just closed in on Marlena and they forced her to kill my wife and children. I just want justive. An eye for an eye. I lost so much time with my family and now I will never have them back.
    MCF: You will have your justice and your payback. The day is near...for all of us to get what we want. Now...you two must go. It seems we have an understanding so obey my wishes and, remember, I am always watching.

    Alan leaves and, as James walks out, he turns to the MCF and says:

    James: You know...I think I know how you know all. You have some sort of surveilance system don't you? What...do you have like half of Salem wired or under surveilance?
    MCF: Perhaps.
    James: Not going to tell me, eh? Well, none of my concern. I know it has to be something like that.
    MCF: Just using my training and the skills I have developed overtime, my friend. You would be wise to do the same in the operations I ask you to carry out in the future. I certainly know what you are capable of. I witnessed you in action enough times.
    James: Yeah...well, it's been awhile. Anyway, see you around.
    MCF: I will be in touch.

    James leaves. The MCF then opens up his or her surveilance center and begins to monitor some of the happenings in Salem. The MCF then gets up and opens the closet door in the office to reveal his or her picture collage. He or she examines it and caresses two pictures on the wall. The pictures are of....KATE AND NICOLE!!!

    -In the woods, Katherine is still stunned by what she sees in front of her. We then see a that a small clearing in the woods has been decorated with twinkling lights. A table is set up for dinner with champaigne and romantic music is playing. Katherine asks Cal if this is what he was up to. Cal says he was and that he got one of the locals to help him. Cal tells Katherine it's time to show her how much he loves her.

    -Lucas and Sami are laying in bed, discussing Marie's funeral and how beautiful the service was. Lucas thanks Sami again for being by his side. Sami says she would be nowhere else. She loves him and Will needed her too. Besides, the Horton's have always been good to her and her family.

    They then begin discussing all the pain and suffering that has been inflicted on Salem in the past year. Sami wonders how much more they can all take. Her mother is in a psych ward, Carrie is falling apart, and Will is having problems that he won't tell them about. Lucas agrees with Sami and says he is glad she brought up Will because it reminds him of something he wants to talk to her about. He feels it's time to take action to find out what is going on with Will. It's just been too long to continue to leave him be. Sami agrees and says she thinks she may have an idea on how to get answers.

    -On the pier, Will is walking around and seems to be looking for someone. He mentions how hard it was to sneak out with his parents home and so mnay neighbors watching but, luckily, Mr. Jabs fell asleep early. Bo appears and Will says he is happy to see him. Bo apologizes for not being around much. He just wants to keep a low profile and apologizes to Will for not taking his calls. It's just been rough. Will understands and is just happy he is here now. He needs to talk to someone and admits he can't seem to move on or get those images out of his head. He has gone to web sites and asked advice and nothing. Will asks Bo how they are both ever going to move on from what happened to them. Bo says he isn't sure they ever will.

    -At the Spectator, Frankie and Greta are calling around looking Jack and Billie. Greta says she called Abby and she said that they both stopped by hours ago but that she hasn't heard from them since. Frankie asks Billie if she told Abby they are missing. Greta says she didn't want to worry her so she simply said that Jack and Billie must be running late or something. Greta is getting frustrated and thinks they should do something. Afterall, they could be dying somewhere for all they know. Frankie agrees but says they can't leave the surveillance tapes unguarded. Greta calls for the building security guard to watch the tapes and the offices. Frankie and Greta then take off to find Jack and Billie.

    Meanwhile, Jack and Billie continue to struggle to escape their ropes in the dark warehouse they are in. Billie asks Jack if he thinks whoever did this is going to kill them. Jack admits that if the MCF is behind this, like they think he or she is, they are likely goners if they don't get out of there.

    Outside, James reveals to Alan that they will cover the warehouse in kerosene. He tells Alan the warehouse is filled with flammable materials so it will go up fast. The police will just think it was some kid playing around with a match or something, just like the stories you hear all the time. Alan doesn't like this idea but James says:

    James: The way to get rid of pests is by extermination. Burning to ashes...now that sounds like a full proof way, doesn't it?

    Alan is silent as a frustrated James says he will just do it without him. Just as James is about to go in the warehouse, the MCF appears and knocks the kerosene can out of his hands.

    MCF (via voice changer): Your not doing anything, Jimmy boy.

    -Lucas asks Sami what her idea is. Sami says she can make an appointment with Will's principal and also asks his teachers if they have noticed anything wrong or strange concerning him. The teachers can even ask Will's friends and classmates. Lucas thinks it's worth a shot but is worried about Will. He could get made fun of since it is high school and kids can be rough. Sami says she will just have to keep it quiet. She is sure it will be fine. They have to do something. Lucas asks sami if she wants him to go too but Sami thinks it's best only one of them go since them both going makes it more likely for Will to find out. Besides, he always handles Will's school stuff so she is less likely to be recognized.

    Lucas agrees and says that not only is she beautiful but she is also smart. He is glad she is using her conniving and clever ways for good and not evil. They both laugh and sami says that her evil days are gone. She has it too good now. They both smile and begin to make love.

    -On the pier, Will is horrified by Bo's words and he disagrees with them. He thinks there is still hope. Bo doesn't think there is any for him. His brother and sister kept the truth for so long and he only just remembered now. It's going to take a long time to deal with it all. Bo tells Will that maybe he can still find a way to move on but he would have to tell his parents everything and turn Alan in. Will reminds Bo of what Alan said would happen if he did that. Bo says he can get protection. Will doesn't think it would help. Alan would find a way. Besides, Alan has been MIA alot anyway.

    Bo wishes he could get his hands on the man that hurt him but he can't. He tells Will he still can but that he also understands. Will would have to publicly admit what happened and that is hard to deal with. Bo admits he may never be able to do that. Will asks Bo if that is why he hasn't went to the police and told them about what Alan did to him. Bo says he promised Will he wouldn't and that he understands how humiating it would be to Will. Bo thinks it's ok as long as Alan lies low but, if Alan pulls something else, Will may not have a choice.

    Will agrees and then asks Bo if he is ever going to come out of hiding. Bo isn't sure. He misses his family and hates that he missed Marie's funeral. Hope and the family needed him but he just doesn't feel he is capable of living up to his responsibilities anymore. He feels like he has lost a part of what makes him a man. He just doesn't feel like he can do them all any good anymore. Will tells Bo he is doing him good and he is thankful to have him to talk to. Bo smiles and says he is glad to have him too. They both hope that things get better for one another and Bo tells Will that he is there for him. All he has to do is call. Will thanks him and they shake hands and then share an embrace.

    -The MCF chastises both Alan and James for their actions.

    MCF(via voice changer): What the hell were you two thinking? I told you never to do anything without my permission.
    James: I thought you wanted them eliminated. I was just...
    MCF: No, I don't. You would know that if you came to me first before going off on your own. I need them around for a purpose. Don't you think if I wanted them dead they would be by now if there wasn't some reason to have them around? They have been on our tail the past few months but I still need them around. This is the final warning. Don't ever do this again. I know you want to avenge your family's death, James. It will be. In due time. Patience...the day of reckoning is at hand.
    James: I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I just want them to pay...all of them.
    Alan: Me too.
    MCF: Fine. Drop it. I need you two with me so act accordingly. I appreciate your dilligence and willingness to do what it takes but this wasn't necessary. Ok?
    Alan: Yes.
    James: I apologize. I was simply trying to further our plans quicker since they have been moving at a snail's pace.
    MCF: I am aware but, trust me, we are moving forward quite rapidly now. The balls are beginning to roll. Our day is coming...very soon. Now, we must let them go.
    Alan: How? They will see us.
    MCF: Oh, come on Alan. Think! James...cut the power to the building. Its dimly lit now but with no lights we can act in darkness.
    Alan: But how are you going to see?

    The MCF then takes out some nightvision goggles and slips them underneath his or her cloak.

    Alan: Ok...question answered.

    Jack and Billie are struggling insider to get out of the ropes when what little lights the warehouse has go off. They are now in complete darkness. Just then, they both feel someone touching them and fooling with the ropes. They notice they are untied and try to grab at those that are touching them but they are pushed to the ground. They then get up and find their way through the darkness to the door. They then exit through the door.

    Outside, they both wonder who untied them and why. They also wonder why it was so easy to escape. Billie wonders if this was just a warning. Jack says it seems almost like whoever did this changed their mind. Nearby, the MCF tells Alan good work and then tells Alan and James to come with him or her. They have matters to discuss. They both follow the MCF into a dark alley.

    -Back at The Spectator, Frankie and Greta return after searching half of Salem. They both relieve the security guard from guarding the tapes. Greta thinks they should call the police. Frankie agrees. Just then, Jack and Billie enter. Greta and Frankie embrace them both and ask what happened. Jack and Billie fill them in. Greta agrees that is weird and she wonders why whoever kidnapped them would just release them. Jack says he doesn't know but he is ready to just get back to business. Billie tells Jack that is kind of hard. Jack sees the tapes and asks if those are it. Greta nods.

    Jack goes over to them and tells Frankie, Greta, and Billie that those tapes may have the break they need. No matter what happened to him and Billie tonight, these tapes can make it seem like nothing if they lead to breaking this case open. Frankie wonders what they are all waiting for...it's time to search those tapes. Jack, Billie, Frankie, and Greta take the tapes to the media room and begin to separate them.

    -Back in the woods, Cal takes Katherine over near the table and says there is something he needs to say:

    Cal: When I met you, I was lost. I had just learned everything I knew...and remembered in my life was a lie. I was no longer Roman Brady and all the people I loved and cared about were nothing to me. I meet you and you help me realize that bloodlines don't matter. Those people I grew to love and care for as Roman will always be in my life and will always be special to me. You also taught me recently not to fear the unknown. You took a chance on me and I have met you with great resistance, especially recently. I know I have been a pain but I see what you were saying now. I want to look into my past. I want to remember. I want to get my life back and also make the present work too. I realize now that I can't fear the past and that I can't just forget it and move on. I need it...I need it to feel complete. You showed me that with that tough love of yours. So, to prove my love to you and to prove that I am serious about making us work and making my life work, I am willing to go back into therapy. I want to keep trying and, this time, be successful. It's the only way for me to have a full life. It's the only way for us to truly work. I realize that now.
    Katherine: I am so happy to hear you say that, Cal. We will start with the therapy again right away.
    Cal: Great...but I'm not finished yet. You see, I know you wonder if what I feel for you is real. Genuine. I know you have doubts...that I am using you to put the past behind me and as some sort of escape or distraction. Now, none of that is the case and I hope that me making a committment to therapy will help convince you of that. I also hope that what I am about to ask convinces you too.
    Katherine: Ask?

    Cal then gets down on one knee and opens a ring box to reveal a beautiful diamond ring. Katherine begins to cry tears of joy as Cal's eyes well up with tears.

    Cal: Not only do I want to find my past with you but...I want to find my present and future too. I want to journey through it all with you. Life is too short and we have both wasted so much time. I just want to be happy and live. I know this is fast but...I love you, Katherine. With everything that is me, I love you. I have loved you since the first moment I laid eyes on you at University Hospital. I want to spend my life making you as happy as you make me everytime I am with you. What do you say?
    Katherine: I...I...I have never felt love before. You know that. I never thought those sort of feelings existed. I have had patients in love and express those feelings to me but I never bought into them personally. I guess it's because I never felt them. I dated and I just never felt that...what one of my patients called it...that unbeleivable rush you feel everytime you look in someone's eyes. The connection you feel to them, like you have known them your whole life...like you have waited your whole life to find them. You never want to let them go or to be without them. I feel that now. I guess I have felt that since we met but it was so foreign at first. It wasn't until...this moment. This moment is where I began to understand what I feel for you. It's love. It does exist. You opened my eyes to that, Cal. I feel it now. I know I do now. I love you...so much.
    Cal: I love you too...and that is why I want to do this. It sudden and fast and...I just don't want to wait. It's right. I know it is. That is why I am asking you...Dr. Katherine Harcourt...if you would be my wife? Will you spend the rest of your life with me? Will you marry me?

    Katherine is silent as Cal waits anxiously.

    Katherine (crying): Your right. It feels right. It feels perfect. (looking into Cal's tearful eyes) Yes...Cal. Yes, I will marry you.

    An elated Cal then takes Katherine in his arms and puts the ring on her finger. They then look into each other's eyes.

    Katherine: For the first time in my life, I feel love. Real love
    Cal: How you like it?
    Katherine: The best feeling in the world.

    They then kiss and we see a long montage of them eating dinner and enjoying each other's company, followed by them dancing and kissing. At the end of the montage, he picks her up and carries her back to their cabin. He takes her upstais to her bedroom, lays her down, and they begin to make love as the screen fades out.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Cal to Katherine: What do you think of getting married...tomarrow?
    Eric to Lucas (with Sami): If my wife is up to something, I will find out. I promise you.
    Austin to Carrie: There is something very important I have to ask you.
    Kate: Oh my God...I don't beleive this.
    Nicole: I am not going to lose Evan...I am not going to lose anything. I will do whatever it takes.

    After Cassie leaves the abandoned warehouse, the MCF goes downstairs to his or her headquarters. He or she sits down at the surveilance center and begins to observe the monitors. We then see the MCF flipping through many camera shots that appear to be shots taken from security cameras all over Salem.

    MCF: It's great being technologically skilled. Without these kinds of campabilities, I would never be able to pull all this off.

    The MCF then sees something that catches his or her attention. He or she flips that camera shot to the main monitor. It's a shot off a security camera on Salem's south side. The MCF then sees Jack and Billie being dragged into a warehouse by two masked assailants. The MCF speeds up the camera shots to fast forward ahead. The MCF then stops fast forwarding and pounds his or her fist on the control panel at the sight of seeing James and Alan unmasked as the assailants. The MCF then listens to them talking about Jack and Billie and James' plan to set the warehouse on fire.

    MCF: WHAT ARE THOSE FOOLS DOING???!!! ARE THEY CRAZY???!!! Damn them...if my plans are ruined because of their ignorance. I told them not to do a thing without my approval first but it appears James is becoming a loose cannon. He blames Jack and Billie a great deal for his family's death and perhaps I underestimated those emotions. I must get over there and put a stop to this!! James may think he is doing something I may appreciate bit he is wrong. I need Deveraux and Reed alive. They haven't fulfilled their purpose to me yet.

    The MCF then shuts all the monitors down and closes up the surveilance center. He or she then turns out the lights in the office and says:

    MCF: I have come too far to see those two or anyone else screw up my plans. I must put a stop to this...no matter what.

    The MCF then shuts the office door and leaves as the screen fades into...

    Billy Ray Cyrus (Jed Montana): Cyrus began playing the role of the countryman who comes to Cal's (Josh Taylor) aid on April 3 and more appreances are expected of Cyrus. "They are bringing on someone to play my wife," adds Cyrus. "It's great and we didn't even hype it. It happened and people wondered where news of me joining the show was reported. I think people will love it" Cyrus, a popular country music artist and current partipant on "Dancing with the Stars", is also the father of Miley Cirus and plays that very same role on his daughter's hit children's show "Hannah Montana." "Can't you see the little jab at it in my character's name," laughs Cyrus. "Gotta love it."

    Franc Ross (Rev. Frank Stewart): Ross, known by Days fans as the actor currently portraying "Duck" on the real show, takes on the role of a priest that interacts with Cal and Katherine (Terri Garber) in the next few weeks. His first apperance is TBA.

    STAYING

    Jaime Lyn Bauer (Laura Horton): While all the other funeral guests made their last appearance on Friday's episode, Bauer sticks around for one more apperance to have Laura counsel her granddaughter Abby (Ashley Benson). Therefore, Bauer's official last appearance will be April 9.

    Monday April 9: Jack and Billie fall into a trap and Cal pledges his love to Katherine. Meanwhile, Cassie finds herself immersed in the MCF's web.
    Thursday April 12: Nicole faces a new threat as Austin makes Carrie's dreams come true.
    Friday April 13: Nicole gains two new allies as Kate makes a huge decision. Also on this day, Abe and Celeste find themselves in danger along with Steve and Lexie.

    Next Week: Victor finds Bo. Hope makes an emotional plea. Kayla prepares to leave Salem. Danger and tragedy brings Abe and Celeste closer. Marlena gets visitors. Cal's memory is sparked. Shane remembers important info and races to Lucas and Sami. Will gets into trouble at school, leading to Sami making a troubling discovery.

    -Bill and Tommy get out of the limousine first and walk around to open the door for Alice. As they help her out of the car, everyone else starts filing out of their respective limousines. Alice thanks her two boys for helping her. Then, as all three look up towards the church, they all stop and grow silent. All of Marie’s family and friends look towards the steps of the church and see not only the Brady family and other friends but, an honor guard from the Marine Corps and from the S.P.D.

    As Marie’s casket is being lifted from the hearse, they all are given the order and every single man stands at attention and salutes Marie is she is being brought past them. Many of these men knew this wonderful lady and they are now showing their respect and thanks for what she had given them. As Alice and her family follow the Honor Guard into the church, they are met by Fr. Jansen. He walks up to Alice and hugs her, saying how sorry he is. His studies took him around the world but Marie always made him feel at home. Bill and Tommy thank him and Alice tells him that Marie really liked him. She says she always had great instincts about people, which makes the Father smile.

    The family now starts walking into the church. Alice looks towards the doors and sees Roman holding one of them open. Tears are coming down his face as Bill and Tommy help Alice into the church and Roman leans over and kisses Alice on the cheek. She smiles and pats his cheek, as he shakes Tommy’s hand and gives him a hug. They all file into the huge church, which is full to capacity. The mayor is here, as well as senators and congress people. Also in attendance is all of the women from the battered women’s home that Marie owned and ran until her cancer got the better of her. They all stand in respect for this fine lady, as her casket makes it way to the alter of the church.

    Bill and Tommy place Alice in a wheelchair and then Bill pushes her down the aisle as her family follows. When she gets to Caroline, she bends over and places cards and letters in her lap. She then leans in and says to Alice.....

    Caroline: These are from all of us. We love you all so much and are so sorry for your loss. Read them at your own good pace, ok?
    Alice: I will, dear. Thank you so much for coming.
    Caroline: I wouldn’t be anywhere else.

    The two matriarchs of the respected families then hug one another as Austin, Carrie, Sami and Will look on. Lucas is standing next to Sami as well and, when Bill sees him, he reaches out for him. Lucas takes his hand and Bill gently pulls him out of the pews and towards him. He hugs his son and then steps aside, silently telling Lucas that he can take his place. With that, Lucas stands behind his grandmother and continues to push her up the aisle as Sami and her family look on and smile.

    As they get closer to the alter, Marie’s family and friends start to see all of the flowers and reefs that have came from across the country and around the world and that now cover the alter. Tokens of affection from the Kiriakis family, the Ewing family of Texas, and the Newman, Chancellor and Abbott families from Genoa City, Wisconsin. The Quartermaines have sent 1,000 flowers as a token of love and respect and the Capwells and, yes, even the DiMera family have sent tributes for Marie. Alice smiles at her daughter’s casket, knowing that only she could have so many people tell her how deeply they felt about her.

    The Carrington family of Denver sent a big letter which reads......

    To Alice,

    Marie was a very special lady. I knew her when she would sometimes come with your late husband here to Denver for a medical conference that took place once a year. She was a splendid woman and my wife, family and I are deeply saddened at the news of her passing. May God grant her the peace and love that she gave all of you while she was of this Earth and may He keep and bless you in your hour of sorrow.

    As everyone sits down, Fr. Jansen walks towards the alter and starts to address the audience in attendance.

    Fr. Jansen: I thank you all for coming today. Not to say farewell but to honor and say thank you, to God Almighty, for giving us his child, Marie Horton, for just a brief moment on His Earth.

    As the news crews continue taping, the cameras pan through the church. The shots show Frankie, Max, Kimberly, Kayla, and Eric Brady, as well as Roman and Shane, who arrived to support Kimberly. Greta, Chelsea, and Belle, with Claire, are there as well. Billie is there and is seated next to Abby and Jack, who is holding Jack Jr. in his lap. Billie looks at him, as Jack seems to be drifting off, thinking about a lady that he once loved....

    And lost.

    Fr. Jansen continues with his eulogy......

    Fr. Jansen: Knowing Marie, she is probably standing here now, with a smile on her face. I truly believe that she would be very humbled by the love and affection that is being felt here today. This “old soul”, as many have called her, had a heart the size of Mother Earth, as can be attested to by many of the people who are with us today. She lived a flawed, but humble life, and I’m sure that her family and friends all feel that their lives are the richer for have known her.

    Alice’s mind drifts back to the time Marie was accidentally shot and she remembers her lying in a hospital bed, near death. All she can think about is the pain she felt at seeing her lying there and there was nothing that she couldn’t do for her. Now, she is gone, but she now feels at peace. Because she now knows that her child is in no more pain.

    Fr. Jansen then ends his eulogy........

    Fr. Jansen: So, as Marie’s loved ones speak of her today, let us all remember that she wouldn’t want anyone to grieve over her. She had told me, on so many occasions, that she was raised to face life head on. To deal with whatever it deals us....

    And that is what we’ll all do here today.

    The scene then fades from the good father to Bill, who is standing to the side of his sister’s casket, as he thinks of the little girl he loved so much......

    Bill: All she ever wanted to do was to follow me everywhere. (Smiling) I can still remember all of the fights we got into because I didn’t want her hanging around me so much. I now remember the time she snuck into the backseat of Dad’s car and went on a date that I had, even though I didn’t know she was back there. She later told me that if I didn’t take her to the movies every Friday during the summer, she would tell Mom and Dad what I had did.

    But now, looking back on it, I think all she ever wanted was for us to spend time together. I wish we had. I will always cherish the late night phone calls that we had, talking about the past, the joys and laughter, and the mistakes that we both made. And, above all else, (Crying) I hope that my little sister will always know......how very special she was to me and how much I loved her.

    Take care, sis. Till we meet again.

    The scene then fades from Bill, to his brother, Tommy......

    Tommy: What can I say? A true angel of God. The finest kind. Even with the times that we told each other how much we hated each other, my love for her was as big as the universe. We only said those things because we had been arguing. Dad would rush upstairs because he couldn’t watch the news because we were yelling so loud. That’s when he would put his foot down and tell us to stop it or else. Then, after he left the upstairs hallway, we would look at each other, and then start laughing. I think we did it just to tick him off. And I swear, she would start every fight.

    Just then, thunder slightly shook the church. On a clear day.

    Tommy: Ok, Marie. We both started the fights.

    Everyone breaks out into laughter.

    Tommy: And now, all I can think of, is the sister that I have lost. And the deep affection and love that I have always had for her. We talked of the ladies that she took care of in her shelter and she always told me how much she loved each and every one of them. They all just needed a fresh start and to believe in themselves. That.....is what she taught me. To believe in myself. I’ll never forget that, as long as I live.

    So sister, to quote a famous reverend.......

    Your Witness And Character, Always Strong,
    Your Voice Like Music, From Heaven’s Song

    Applause breaks out as Tommy starts crying. He starts to leave the alter and, when he is almost overcome with grief, Nick and Hope jump up and run to his side and lead him back to his seat. Hope then sits next to him and comforts him, as he looks at his sister’s casket and says to her....

    Tommy: I hope she knew.
    Hope: She did, Uncle Tommy. She did.

    The scene now fades to Julie, who is having a difficult time speaking......

    Julie: It’s so hard. (Crying) All I can do is selfishly wish that she was still here. But, what I’m going to do, is thank God that he gave her to us for the time we had her. It was just a snap of His fingers and life becomes a moment in time but Marie spent it like many of us should. Doing what she wanted to do, full of life and vigor, and helping those who, at one time or another, were unable to help themselves.

    No matter where life takes me or no matter what mistakes I make or, when my time comes, I will always, always cherish the wonderful times we had together. So, my dearest Marie, take care of yourself, and I’ll see you one day, my dearest angel.

    Hope once again rushes up and hugs Julie, as she breaks down completely. She helps her back to her seat and sits her down, as Joshua and Jessica then walk to the alter to say a few words.....

    Joshua: All I can do is thank everyone here for coming today. She would have really been proud.
    Jessica: She sure would have been. Our family has always been proud of the fact that the door was always open at the Horton home and Marie was a huge part of that. She told me, when her cancer was progressing, that she knew this may be it. And to tell everyone back home, how much she loved and appreciated each and everyone of you.
    Joshua: So, that is why she wanted to do something for some of the people that she loved. She signed over the battered women’s shelter to the seven women who currently stay there and has left an endowment big enough to see that it continues helping those who need a second chance.

    Everyone applauds in unison, as the women hug each other and give thanks to this special lady.


    Joshua: I’ll miss her so much. When I think of some 60's rock music, I’ll think of her. When I think of air popped popcorn, I’ll think of her. When I think of being read to late at night, or having a sprained ankle wrapped, or sitting on her lap while we watched television, or all the sound advice and love that a mother can give a child, I will always smile, look towards the heavens......

    And thank her, and God, for blessing us with her.

    Some time later, after state senators have issued proclamations in her name, and as the mayor has proclaimed this day Marie Horton Day, and some of Marie’s favorite songs are played, Hope stands up, as the last speaker of the day, to speak for Alice and the family.....

    Hope: Wow. What a homecoming. If the measure of one’s life is seen by the people who give thanks to you, Aunt Marie, you are the richest person in Salem today. You were, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the coolest aunt anyone could have. I always marveled at your beauty but observed how you treated others and how you loved those who didn’t love themselves. We guess that’s why you became a nun, to help others. And, as Gran has always said, “Marie would do anything for anyone. She made mistakes but, when your heart is golden, you can touch other people’s lives. And she did.”

    So, auntie, you take care of yourself. And God Bless your sweet loving soul.

    With that, the pallbearers stand and walk towards her casket. They go to gently pick it up and as Tommy, Lucas and Bill help Alice back into her wheelchair, they stop when Alice asks Hope for one thing. Hope bends down to listen and, when she stands back up, Hope leans in and tells Lucas to take Alice to Marie’s casket. Lucas wheels his grandmother towards her and Alice leans in, speaking to her child for the last time.....

    Alice: My dearest little girl. (Patting her casket) I’m so sorry I wasn’t there when you took your last breath. I should have been. (Crying) How do I say goodbye to you? How can I sum up how much joy you have brought to me, hmm? Well, you’re at peace now, my child. No more pain. Your job is done here. Your are in my heart and soul and I will forever thank God Almighty for granting you as a gift from Heaven. Till we see each other again, my precious baby. Farewell.

    Alice then leans in and kisses Marie’s casket. She then pats it gently as Lucas wheels her backwards so that the pallbearers can take Marie out to the hearse to go to her final resting place. They gently pick her casket up and lead the procession out of the church, as everyone once again gives Marie a standing ovation. As they reach the outside of this beautiful day, Alice and her family see a group of teenagers from the local high school. As her casket is placed inside the hearse, with Tommy and Bill’s help, the students release five white doves into the air, as a token of affection for Marie.

    Lucas, Tommy, Bill and Nick then take Alice back to her limousine and help her in. When Lucas gets ready to walk back to his limousine with Sami, Hope holds out her hand to him. He looks at her and then at Sami, who smiles at him, and tells him that she will see him at the cemetery. With that, he takes Hope’s hand, as she leads him to his place inside Alice’s car. When he sits down, he looks at Nick, who leans in and tells him.....

    Nick: Time for you to come home, Lucas. You’re a Horton. We are your family.

    Lucas shakes his head. as Alice watches this exchange, and then these two grown men shake hands. Lucas then looks out the window, while he sits next to his father, Bill.

    Everyone, once back in their respective cars, hears them start up as on once again and, as Marie’s hearse pulls away, the fleet leave for the cemetery to finally take her home. As the fleet drives down the street, Hope pats her purse. She had seen a letter that was addressed to Alice earlier in the day and she saw that it was Marie’s handwriting on it. She wanted to save it for a special time, when Alice needed to hear her words. Hope then opened a letter from Steve, one that he had sent Alice, and asked if she could read it out loud.

    With everyone’s permission, she read.......

    Dear Mrs. H.,

    Because of circumstances beyond my control, I could not be there for you on this difficult day. But, I just wanted to let you know, how much you mean to me. You were one of the first people who gave me a chance when I came to Salem and I will forever be grateful for that. It took a long time for the Patchman to turn back into Steve and you were one of the people who helped make that happen. I never met Marie but understand through Kayla, Roman, Caroline and the rest of the family, that she was one great gal. I think her and I would have had some good times if I had gotten a chance to meet her and now my life seems less for her passing. Please, whatever you do, remember that you and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Alice smiles at his letter, grateful that he thought enough of them to write. She then stares out the window, as she holds Tommy’s hand tightly. Tommy knows that it is taking everything she has not to break down again and rubs his mother’s hand as the scene slowly climbs to the sky and then fades to black.

    It is late at night now. Bill, Tommy, Nick and the rest of the family are asleep in the home of the youth. None of them could leave without spending one more night there, next to Alice’s side. Without saying it, they knew she needed them, and she knew that they needed her. What she doesn’t know, as the scenes shift from one bedroom to another, is that no one is asleep tonight.

    Nick lays in his bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking of the grandmother that he has just laid to rest. Bill and Tommy stand near their windows, looking out into the cool, night air. As Tommy turns to walk back to his bed, he is stopped in his tracks......by a voice that he swears that he can hear. All the voice says is.....

    Voice: Take care of Mama. And yourself.

    This causes him to breath in deeply and then turn back towards the window, saying......

    Tommy: I will, sis. I will.

    Then, the scene switches to Nick’s room. He is also laying in his bed, looking up at the ceiling, when he starts to hear humming. He looks around Marie’s room and, when he sits up in the bed, he looks into the corner. He stares at a lady holding a baby boy and rocking back and forth humming a song to him, which is putting him to sleep. Nick smiles as he remembers his grandmother rocking him to sleep. These are some of his first memories and they bring a smile to his face. All he can say, as the scene slowly fades out, is......

    Nick: Thank you so much, grandma. Thank you for loving me.

    He then lays back down on his bed, once again looking at the ceiling, as he wipes away his tears.

    The scene then fades to Bill’s room, where he is also looking out the window. He then looks down and decides that he is too hungry to go to sleep, so he slowly walks downstairs to go to the kitchen. He has to stop and chuckle at himself because he finds himself tip toeing through the house, the very same way he used to when he snuck himself and Marie downstairs late at night to get something to eat. He continues down the stairs but already hears something coming from the kitchen.

    When he slowly opens the door, he finds Melissa, Spencer, Mike, Sarah, Jeremy and Pete sitting around the table, eating and laughing, while talking about Marie and the times that they spent there as kids, teenagers and young adults. They all stop and then look over to Bill, who has now been joined by Tommy, Jessica, Joshua, Steven, Maggie, Laura and Hope. He smiles once again and says just one sentence......

    Bill: The next generation. How happy you would be, sis.

    Tommy pats his older brother on the back as the older Hortons raid the refrigerator as well. The scene then slowly leaves the kitchen, as we leave the Horton family, and goes through the house, hearing all of the voices of everyone who has lived there, and called this house a home. When it stops, we see Alice sitting once again on her bed, looking out the window. She is thinking of her little girl now and hoping that she is nice and warm and not wanting for anything. She tears up though, feeling guilt at not having been there in her final days and hours.

    But, just then, there is a knock at the door. When it opens, it is Hope, who says to Alice.......

    Hope: I was just checking on you, Gran.
    Alice: Oh, I’m just sitting here. Thinking about Marie. Oh, how I wish I was there when she died.
    Hope: (Holding a letter) Gran, I believe that you were.

    Hope opens the letter that came while everyone was at Marie’s funeral and takes it out. Alice asks her read it, saying that her eyesight isn’t what it used to be. Hope smiles and opens the letter and, as she starts reading the first page, the song Wind Beneath My Wings (Hero) by Gladys Knight plays in the background. Hope, noticing that the letter is in Marie’s handwriting, begins.........

    Well, Mama, I guess this is getting near the end. Before I got the point where I was too sick to put my thoughts to paper, I wanted to tell you some things that I have been wanting to say for so long but always took for granted. I love you. And......I thank you. Even after all of my mistakes and all the times that I picked fights with my brothers, or stole Dad’s medical journals to read, or even the time that I ate all of the cake batter for a cake you were going to bake and got sick as a dog, I always thanked God Almighty that He made you my mother. I learned everything that I know from you. You always imparted your love and wisdom with such respect. You never told me, or any of us, how to live our lives. But, you were always there for us when we all needed you. Especially me. You are my best friend. I could tell you anything and it would stay between us. You taught me how to be a parent and grandparent and I will be forever grateful for your love and respect, no matter where I go.

    Well, this is not goodbye. But so long, for just a little while. I know that I’ll see you one day and then, we’ll all be together again. You take care of yourself. And I’ll tell Daddy, Mickey and Jennifer that everyone says hi.

    Hope looks up at Alice, through her tear stained eyes, and sees that she can’t hold out any longer. Alice has broken down and is crying so deeply that Hope has to hold her up. Hope rocks her back and forth, saying to her in a shaky voice.....

    Hope: It’s alright, Gran. It’s alright. I’m here. Just let it out, ok? Just let it out.

    Alice cries on Hope’s shoulder, as they rock back and forth. As they both sit by the window, the scene then slowly pans upward, and then slowly fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Laura to Abby: How about it? Give Max another chance?
    Jack to Billie: This could be our big break.
    Cassie to MCF: I've waited longt enough. What do you want with me?
    Greta to Frankie: Something is wrong...
    James to Alan: We can't make any mistakes. Do you hear me?
    Cal to Katherine: Don't ask questions. Just come with me. I know you won't regret it.

    -At Katherine's cabin, she is sitting on the couch worried about Cal and wondering what he is up to. Meanwhile, Jed and Cal are on their way back from Ogden, a small town nearby to Green Mountain, and Jed is asking Cal if he has everything he needs. Cal smiles and says he does. He vows that this will be a night Katherine never forgets.

    -At the Deveraux house, Abby is sitting in her wheelchair with Chelsea on the couch next to her. They are watching a movie and eating popcorn. Abby tells Chelsea she wants to thank her again for staying with her. Her father has been working late so much lately on the MCF case and she didn't want to be alone with JJ's babysitter again. Chelsea says it's no problem and she can use the extra case for babysitting JJ. Abby hangs her head, saying she wishes she could watch her brother on her own. Chelsea smiles and assures Abby she will again...one day soon.

    The doorbell rings. Both girls wonder who it can be. Chelsea gets up to get it and asks Abby if it could be her father and maybe he forgot his keys. Abby doesn't think her father would be home this early. Chelsea opens the door and sees that it's Laura. Laura and Chelsea greet each other. Abby is stunned to see her grandmother since she would think she would be in bed with her having an early flight back to Africa with granpa. Laura says she couldn't leave because she was worried about her. Laura admits she knows all about what happened with her and Max and she can see how much they are both hurting and she has some advice for Abby that she hopes she heeds.

    -Greta and Frankie are at The Spectator waiting for Jack and Billie. Greta looks at her watch and wonders where they are as they were supposed to come right over after the funeral and reception services. Frankie tries to clam Greta, telling her that they probably stopped to check on Abby and Chelsea or something. Greta hopes so.

    Meanwhile, Jack and Billie are walking out of Buddy's Burger Barn. Billie can't beleive Jack wasted so much time stopping as the lines were long as hell. Jack says he hardly at the funeral and reception as the food was nothing but the eloquent, upper class shindig stuff. He wanted something that would make a nutritionist cringe. Billie smiles and says this will do it. She tells Jack that they are more then an hour late to meet Greta and Frankie.

    Jack says they will understand as they got hung up at the funeral service and reception and had to stop home and check with the girls. Billie wonders if they will understand stopping off for fast food. Jack smiles and says they have enough food for four. Jack's cell rings and he answers it:

    Distorted Voice: You want information on the cloaked figure...meet me at the alley outside the old Filmore Rug Factory on Gifford Street. No questiions, no police. Just bring yourself and your partner.
    Jack: Wait...who are you? How do you know I have a partner?
    Distorted Voice: No questions, Deveraux. Remember that...

    Jack hears a hangup and fills Billie in on the phone call. Billie asks Jack if he thinks this is a legit informant. Jack smiles and says there is only one way to find out and takes Billie's hand, dragging her with him. Billie asks Jack if he is sure they should be racing off like this. It could be a trap. Jack reminds Billie she is ISA and is currently a PI and he has been in situations like this. They will be fine. He then drags her off as she rolls her eyes.

    Meanwhile, James puts his cell phone away and turns to face Alan. James tells Alan the plan is on and Jack bought it. Alan asks how he knows and James says he knows he did. Jack is desperate for a big break in the case and that desperation plays into their hands. James then points his finger at Alan and warns him there can't be any mistakes. They must follow their plan to the letter. Alan understands and just hopes the boss doesn't get mad. James says he isn't worried because the boss will probably be happy they disposed of those pests. He tells Alan they must go and they both race off.

    -At an abandoned warehouse in the upper west side of town, Cassie is still locked in an abandoned room. She wonders when the MCF is returning. She then hears a loud noise outside the door and the door then opens. The MCF enters and apologizes to Cassie for being gone so long. He or she asks if she is enjoying her stay. Cassie sarcastically asks him or her what he thinks. The MCF says fine and is now ready to get down to business. Cassie asks what this business he keeps mentioning is. The MCF reminds Cassie of her desire for revenge on Max Brady, Chelsea Brady, and Abby Deveraux. The MCF says that he or she has a plan that she is very interested in and that he or she can use her help on.

    Cassie doesn't understand. The MCF tells her that her hands would be clean. No one would know she did it and she would have her revenge. Cassie asks where this is going. The MCF tells Cassie that he or she wants her to...kidnap Chelsea and Abby. Cassie is stunned.

    -In the woods near Katherine's cabin, Cal and and Jed are walking back to the cabin. Cal thanks Jed for helping him set up everything and for the ride into Ogden. Jed says it was no problem and tells Cal to let him know how things went. Cal smiles and says he will. Jed and Cal shake hands. Jed leaves. Cal then says it's time to go get Katherine.

    Meanwhile, Katherine wonders if she should call the police or someone to help her go out and look for Cal. She is getting very worried and even wonders if Cal left her. There is then a knock at the door. Katherine races over and opens it. She sees Cal and jumps into his arms. Cal is pleasantly surprised by the greeting. Katherine says she was so worried about him and then, as her face turns angrier, asks where he was. Cal says all her questions will be answered if she just comes with him. Katherine doesn't understand. Cal tells her to trust him. Cal blindfolds Katherine, who is still confused. He tells her to let him guide her. Katherine says she doesn't have a choice. Cal leads her out of the cabin and grabs her coat.

    -Nico and several men arrive at The Spectator with seferal large boxes. Nico tells Greta and Frankie these are the surveillance tapes. He tells them that Victor would like to be present when they find anything of importance. Greta understands and says they will get on them right away. Nico says that's good as Victor was only able to gain access to them for 48 hours. Frankie thinks that is all they will need. Nico leaves as Frankie and Greta both are getting worried about Jack and Billie now.

    Meanwhile, Jack and Billie arrive at the alley. Billie draws her gun and tells Jack she has a bad feeling about this. Jack tells her that it will be fine if they are aware of their surroundings and cautious. Both of them are unaware of the two masked assailants dressed in black behind them. The two assailants sneak up from behind both Jack and Billie, cover their faces with black hoods, and drag them off as their screams can be heard.

    -Back at the Deveraux house, Chelsea asks if she should leave but Laura says she can stay. Abby tells Laura she doesn't want to talk about Max. Laura thinks they must and reminds Abby of everything that has happened in the past year. Uncle Mickey, her mother, and now her Aunt Marie have all passed away. She also reminds her of her own near-death experience and her paralysis. Laura hates to bring all that up but tells Abby that there is a lesson to be learned from it all, especially after today:

    Laura: Life is short, my darling. Extremely short. You almost lost your life when you were little and also recently. I know all about the mistakes Max made but you have to consider the heightened emotions of the situation. He lost his unborn child during that time. He had to grieve and you know the childhood Frankie and him had. He wanted to do right by that baby and that baby was his chance to give his son or daughter what he didn't have growing up. I know your father doesn't like what Max did and, in a way, either do I but we have known him and Frankie for years. People make mistakes, Abigail. You did and that is how you ended up where you are.
    Abby: Thanks for reminding me.
    Laura: It's the truth, sweetheart. Doesn't Max deserve another chance given the circumstances?
    Abby: Why do you care so much about me and Max? I don't get it.
    Laura: Because I saw the way he looked at you at Christmas. How concerned he was for you when you nearly died. I saw the pain he was in at the funeral today not being able to be with you. I can see the pain you are in. It's not right, darling. If it doesn't work out, fine but you two deserve a chance to make it right and you are the only person who can make it happen. It is a Horton mantra, afterall. We are all about forgiveness and second chances. Hell, your mother and father had so many chances to work things out...it's all part of life and relationships. You will always have ups and downs. It's what you learn from them that matters and this could make you two closer then ever. Just...think about it.
    Chelsea: Come on, Abby. She's right.
    Abby: Fine. I will.
    Laura: Thank you. Now, I must be going girls. Bill and I have an early flight. Abigail, darling, I hope you take my advice. I know you and I aren't on the best terms because of my actions...
    Abby: Grandma...it's in the past. Remember, I forgave you back at Christmas and so did dad.
    Laura: I saw the way you reacted to me at Alice's this morning. I know there is still some ill feelings there but, in time, I hope to earn back your trust and your father's. Even if you two feel everything is ok, I need to feel like I have earned it back. For me.

    Laura them embraces Abby and says goodbye to Chelsea and Abby as she leaves. Chelsea looks at Abby and asks her if she is really going to consider giving Max another chance. Abby hesistates but says yes but she has to think first. She tells Chelsea she has alot of thinking to do.

    -Cassie can't beleive the MCF wants her to help kidnap Chelsea and Abby. The MCF tells Cassie that they will leave a note saying they both left town and adds that niether girl will be hurt. The MCF tells Cassie he or she just needs Jack and Billie distracted and then both girls will be returned. In the meantime, the MCF informs Cassie that Max will feel guilty and will be blamed as the reason why both girls took off. Cassie will have her revenge. The MCF asks Cassie if she still wants revenge on Max, Chelsea, and Abby. Cassie nods but says that she was thinking of handling it some other way.

    The MCF says her hands will be kept clean. He or she assures Cassie she won't go down for helping to kidnap the girls. The MCF moves closer to Cassie and tells her that no matter how she feels about this, she is going to do it anyway. He or she needs Cassie's help and thinks Cassie should jump at this chance at revenge. The MCF tells Cassie to just do as he or she says, cooperate, and just wait to be contacted. He or she will let her know when it will all go down and tell her exactly what to do. The MCF adds that she will have helpers who will committ the actual kidnapping. All she needs to do is help. The MCF cresses Cassie's terrified face and says if she does as he or she says properly and if she tells no one of their meeting or anything about any of this, there won't be a problem. She will also have her revenge.

    The MCF asks Cassie if she agrees, reminding her that her saying no or going against his or her wishes results in tragedy for her beloved grandfather. The MCF tells Cassie that he or she put Stefano in the hospital and they can make sure he never comes out. The MCF adds that he or she can make sure she suffers indescribable pain. Cassie finally agrees, reluctantly. The MCF is pleased and says she is free to go, warning her not to say nothing to anyone about what they discussed and their meeting...or else. Cassie understands and leaves. Outside the warehouse, Cassie wonders who the MCF is and why he or she is doing all this. She wonders what she become involved in.

    -Cal leads Katherine through the woods as she asks him where they are going and how long until they are there. She is sick of being blindfolded. Cal stops and says they have arrived. He stands behind her and takes the blindfold off, saying "Surprise!" Katherine is stunned by what she sees.

    -Back at The Spectator, Frankie wonders if they should start working through the surveillance footage. Greta says they should wait for Jack and Billie. Frankie admits he is really worried now. Greta says she knows something is wrong...she can just sense it.

    Meanwhile, Jack and Billie are tied up in a dimly lit warehouse somewhere. They are struggling to break free. Billie reminds Jack that she knew going to the alley was a bad idea. She just knew it was a trap. Jack just ignores her and says they need to focus on getting out of this and not on who is right. Billie thinks the MCF is behind this. Jack says if that is the case, why were there two assailants dressed in black? Billie says they are probably accomplices to the MCF. They know there are some with Marlena and James as two of them. Jack knows the two masked assailants were male and is betting one could be James since they went undercover to the bar.

    Billie thinks he's right. James must have known it was them and told the MCF and here they are. Billie reminds Jack that she warned him that undercover assignment would come back to haunt them. Jack ignores Billie and says they just need to find a way out of the ropes before those assailants come back and do God knows what to them.

    Meanwhile, outside, the two assailants take their masks off to reveal James and Alan. James is pleased that went well. Alan is complaining about Billie kicking him in the leg and is commenting on her feistiness. James tells Alan to shutup and listen as it's time for the final part of the plan. Alan asks what that is. James opens his bag and pulls out a bottle of kerosene and some matches. Alan is stunned. James says it's time to send Jack and Billie to hell.

    The screen then fades out on a splitscreen of an enraged James' face and Jack and Billie tied up, struggling to get free.

    -In the sunrise of a beautiful but, very sad day, Alice sits by the window at the foot of her bed. She glances out the window onto a perfect day as she slowly turns the pages of one of her many photo albums. She smiles as she looks at the pictures of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as they have grown over the years but she stares at the pictures of one very special person.

    Her late daughter, Marie.

    Her first picture, when she was four days old. Marie, sitting by her father as he writes another paper for the university. Her first day of kindergarden. Singing her first solo in the church choir. Her first date. A picture of her as class president of Salem High. Her senior pictures. Her first picture that she sent home from her first pilgrimage after she became a nun. Pictures of her with her children. Holding her grandson, Nick, after he was born.

    And then, some of Alice’s favorite pictures. Those of her and Marie. Marie watching her bake her favorite donuts. Alice helping her open her Christmas presents when she was six years old. Marie, holding a stethoscope to her mother’s chest, listening to her heart beat. Them swinging in their backyard.

    Even for a lady who has raised many children and has lived for almost a century, this is the day she was dreading. Burying another child. No parent wants to outlive their children and, for Alice, she has done it twice now. The cancer that took her daughter’s life was slow but from every letter that Marie sent her, she told her mother that she was doing well. Alice knew Marie was covering up but she also knew that it was her way. She never wanted to make her mother worried about her. Alice kept these letters to herself because Marie didn’t want the rest of the family to worry about her.

    She told Alice that she was surrounded by loved ones. She also told her that if it was her time, she was ready and at peace. Alice took great solace in these letters for she knew that her child was not suffering. Marie also insisted that Alice not come and see her. Marie knew that Alice was not as strong as she thought she was and didn’t want her appearance to affect her health. Still, it was a devastating shock when she received word of her death and Alice still wishes she was there......

    At her daughter’s side, as she was called home.

    As Alice closes the book on Marie’s life and times, someone knocks on her door. As she looks to see who it is, the door opens to reveal her granddaughter, Hope. Hope smiles slightly as she brings her grandmother some tea. She sits it down on her end table and, as she pours it, asks her...

    Hope: Are you ok, Gran? You haven’t said much since the news came.
    Alice: Oh, I’m alright, dear. I just........miss my baby. That’s all.
    Hope: I know. The hardest thing to ever do is bury one’s child.
    Alice: And I know that you realize that, dear. But, she is at peace now. That is what is important.

    Hope looks and sees that she forgot the sugar for the tea. She tells Alice.....


    Hope: I don’t know where my mind is today. I know you like sugar in your tea.
    Alice: That’s alright, Hope. Take your time. No need to rush through anything today.
    Hope: Well, still. This is how you like it. And you should have anything you want. Especially today.

    Hope gets up to walk to the door and then stops. Alice looks up at her and wonders what she is doing. Hope turns back around and looks at Alice and then says.....

    Hope: It’s fine. You can bring in the sugar now.

    Hope watches Alice as she sees her expression change. A person walks through the door holding her sugar. This person walks over to her, bends down, and places the sugar on her tray. Alice lifts her right hand and places it gently on this person’s cheek. She smiles and cries as the person says to her.....

    Person: Hello, Grandma.
    Alice: Welcome home, Nick.

    Her great-grandson, Nick Fallon, leans forward and hugs her deeply. She rocks him back and forth as the loving embrace continues. Hope wipes her eyes as she tells Alice...

    Hope: He got in last night and slept in Marie’s bedroom. He didn’t want to disturb you.
    Alice: Well. He should have. How have you been doing, son?
    Nick: I’m fine. (Pausing) I just....miss her so much. She was one cool cat.
    Alice: And she loved you so very much. I still have the picture of her holding you after you were born. She was so proud.
    Nick: I was proud of her.

    Nick stands up and tells Hope that he will sit with Alice for awhile. Hope agrees and leaves them both to spend some precious time together.

    Nick sits on the bed next to Alice and tells her...

    Nick: It’s really hard waking up in the morning and not feeling her in my life right now. I know she’ll always be there but.....
    Alice: She is, son. Your grandmother believed, if for nothing else, that the afterlife is where we are closest with one another. Remember that. She is now but a loving thought away.
    Nick: I know, Grandma. (Looking at Alice) How do you get used to the people that you love not being there anymore?
    Alice: (Taking Nick’s hand) You never get used to it. You just look forward......to seeing them again. And cherish the memories that you have of them. Ok?
    Nick: (Voice shaking) Yes ma’am.

    Nick then gently rests his head on Alice’s shoulder and cries softly. Alice pats his hand and hums to him, the very same way she used to when he was a baby boy. She slowly rocks back and forth and lovingly comforts Nick as he thinks about his grandmother.

    An hour and a half later, guests are beginning to arrive for Marie’s funeral. Hope walks downstairs and rounds the staircase, walking towards the kitchen. She is stopped, though, when a voice from behind her says just two simple words.....

    Person: Hello, cousin.

    Hope turns in her tracks to see the face of her beautiful cousin, Melissa. They both break down crying as they run into each other’s arms and embrace. They then pull back and look at each other, with Melissa saying the very obvious thought they both were thinking.....

    Melissa: Why do we only seem to see each other when someone has passed?
    Hope: I don’t know. (Wiping her tears) We really need to change that.
    Melissa: Not with everything we have been reading about. By the way, how is that handsome husband of yours?

    Hope looks away and grows quiet.

    Melissa: Oh, Hope, no. What has happened?
    Hope: I don’t know, couz. He has turned away from me. Something has really gotten to him and he has shut me out. I don’t know how to reach him.
    Melissa: Well, you know him better than anyone. He’ll find his way back to you, in time. He always has. Have faith in that, Hope.
    Hope: I have to, Melissa. There isn’t much left to have faith in. I”m trying to find some now.....just to get through today.

    The cousins embrace and walk back to the kitchen and are greeted by Julie and Maggie, as two more people watch them leave. These two turn and look at each other and then walk into the living room. They hold hands and smile slightly as one of them says to the other......

    Laura Horton: First Mickey and Jennifer, then Marie. How much can Alice take?
    Mike Horton: I don’t know, Ma. I just wish this cloud that is hanging over our family would lift. I’m tired of coming home for funerals. Mickey's gone and so is my sister and now there's Aunt Marie. I mean, what did we do to deserve this?
    Laura: This is life, son. Marie was very sick. She didn’t want anyone fussing over her. You know how headstrong she was.
    Mike: (Laughing slightly) Yeah, I sure do. I always heard from dad of the fights her and Uncle Mickey used to get into when they were young.
    Laura: That’s because Marie wouldn’t get off the phone and keep it quiet when Mickey was studying law. From what I heard, Tom and Alice had to separate those two more than once because of it.
    Mike: Well, at least now.....they are all together.
    Laura: Yes. And I hope that Marie is finally at peace. It takes times like this to remember......


    At that moment, Laura sees Abby wheeled through the door with Jack and Jack Jr.........

    Laura: What family is all about. Excuse me, please.
    Mike: Sure, Mom.

    Mike watches Laura walk over to Abby, who is near a picture of Marie when she was a teenager. Laura says hi but, when Abby turns around, she smiles slightly and wheels away. Laura knows that some of her actions have alienated her from her grandchild and has to live with the consequences, despite Abby saying she had forgiven her. Laura sees Jack mingle with some other members of the Horton family, when she overhears him say...

    Jack: Oh, Jennifer. Take care of your Aunt Marie up there. I know how much you loved her.

    That is when another voice says....

    Person: We all did. Very, very much.

    Jack turns around and smiles when he sees........

    Jack: Hello, Don.
    Don Craig: Jack, how are you doing?

    Both men shake hands.

    Jack: About as well as could be expected. And you, sir? How is life treating you abroad?
    Don: It’s satisfying. Been spending a lot of time working in Santa Barbara. Wonderful place. I fly back and forth from there and Europe.
    Jack: The Capwells are there, aren’t they?
    Don: (Pausing) Yes, Jack. They are. C.C.........is a friend of mine. Good man. One of my favorite people. As Marie was.
    Jack: A lot of history between you two, wasn’t there?
    Don: Yes. Yes there was. I still can’t believe.......(Tears welling up)........that she’s gone.

    Jack places his hand on Don’s shoulder and tells him....

    Jack: She’s at home now, Don. I really believe that this is what will get the family through. Trust in that.
    Don: From your lips to God’s Ears, Jack.

    Jack places his arm around Don’s shoulder and they both walk outside to breath in the day air. It is at this point where Nick comes downstairs and tells everyone that Alice is getting ready and that the funeral procession will start as soon as the limousines arrive, which has started happening out in front of the house. From her bedroom window, Alice can see the cars pull up and more family and friends arriving. Hope walks back into her bedroom carrying a scarf that Marie always loved and places it around her neck and shoulders.

    As Hope stands back up to leave, Alice grabs her hand tightly. She then says, through a shaking voice...

    Alice: Oh, God. How can I bury another child, Hope? I can’t do this.
    Hope: Gran, I will be right there. Your whole family has come home for two reasons.....to say goodbye to Marie and to help you through this. You are not alone. Believe me when I say that.
    Alice: Then......you will have to be my rock, dear. Just like you have been since word came. Please? I need you now, ok?
    Hope: (Stroking her hair) I’m not going anywhere, Gran. I’m right here.

    Hope kisses Alice on her cheek and then sits next to her on her bed. As she is hugging Alice, a knock comes at her bedroom door. When Alice tells the person to come in, she breaks down when she sees the faces of her two sons, Tommy and Bill.

    Hope stands up as they both look at Alice, with tears streaming down their faces. Alice slowly lifts her arms up, reaching out for her children who slowly walk over, kneel down, and embrace their mother. As they cry in her arms, just like when they were little boys, she looks down at both of them, who are now looking at her for comfort and, with Hope standing next to her uncles, crying, she tells her boys.....

    Alice: Now, you two know that your sister wouldn’t want you crying like this. She loved you two so much.
    Bill: (Standing up) Yes, ma’am. (Wiping his tears away) You’re right, as usual.
    Tommy: (Sitting next to her) She didn’t hurt much, did she?
    Alice: No, son. At the end, she was at peace. I can feel it. When any of my children are in pain or joy and happiness has filled their day, I can feel it. A gift from God, I guess. No. Your sister was the happiest she has been in her whole life. You both keep that with you. Ok?
    Bill: We will, Ma. I just......miss her so much. This house used to be full with laughter and arguing and good times.
    Alice: And it still is, Bill. I hear it every day. This house is still full. With the love of a family who has grown. Together.

    Alice reaches her hand out and takes Bill’s hand.

    Alice: And now........it is time to take Marie home. To her final resting place. I’ll need you all for that today. So (as Tommy and Bill help her stand up) Let’s be strong and show what the Hortons are made of, ok?
    Bill: Yes, ma’am.

    Bill and Tommy help Alice walk downstairs as Hope walks behind them. As they descend the stairs, other family members and friends watch the quiet strength that Alice is showing and are gaining strength from her as well. She stops at the entrance to the living room and quietly says.....


    Alice: Marie would be so humbled to see you all here. Probably as humbled as I am. Thank you so much for going the last mile with her.

    More of her family members step forward to give her hugs and kisses. People that Alice hasn’t seen in so very long but have kept in contact. One by one, each one tells her.........

    Sandy Horton: It’s so good to see you.
    Spencer Olsen: Sure is. You still going strong.
    Sarah Horton: That's Gran. It's all about that strong constitution of hers.
    Jessica Blake Fallon: As always. It is our honor to be here today......to say farewell.
    Joshua Fallon: That is the honest to God’s truth.


    Nick looks on and smiles as he stands next to Hope and Melissa. What Melissa doesn’t know is that someone else is standing behind her. And, a moment later, she hears one voice say......

    Pete Jannings: Aye there, pretty lady.

    Melissa turns around and gives Pete a big hug, thanking him for coming to this family event. Pete tells her, in front of everyone, that he knows how much Marie meant to her, and he didn’t see himself anywhere else but right there. By her side. Melissa smiles at Pete and holds his hand tightly, telling him that she will need him to get through today. Pete responds, saying.....

    Pete: Your wish is my command.

    And then he kisses her on her cheek. This makes Alice smile, as she tells everyone.....

    Alice: Well, I guess it’s time. Is everything ready?
    Bill: Yes, Mama. Marie’s hearse is here. The limousines are all out front.
    Tommy: Shall we go, Mother?
    Alice: Yes. It’s time (Her voice shaking) to take Marie home.

    Everyone watches as Tommy and Bill walk Alice out to her limousine, as everyone files out and into their respected car. Nick is the last one out and locks the door. He then takes a few steps forward and looks up at the sky, as he tells the heavens........

    Nick: Well, Grandma, it’s going to be a full house. I knew you could pack ‘em in. See you at the church.

    Nick then walks towards the limousine and gets in, as they all start up as one. The hearse then slowly pulls off and heads down the street, as the fleet passes by all of Marie’s old stomping grounds. Salem High School, the soda shop on the corner, a hamburger place that she ate at after school, and many other sites where she spent her youth. Members of the community, reading about Marie’s death, and knowing that today is her funeral, stand on the sidewalks, at the corners of streets, and come out of their stores and shops to pay their quiet, kind respects to a member of one of Salem’s best families. They take their hats off, members of the police department and veterans, some of whom worked with Marie, salute and others waive, expressing their sorrow for Alice and her family during one of Marie’s last rides.

    Nick then passes the driver a disc and asks him to play it. The driver tells him no problem and when he puts the disc in the CD player, the song that starts playing is Sweet Jane by The Cowboy Junkies . Nick knew that this was one of her favorite songs and had heard her humming it when he spent the night with her. That is why he always thought that she was so cool. An old soul, Alice called her. As the song played and as they get closer to the church, Bill looks towards a playground and sees himself with a young Marie, pushing her on a swing. A tear comes down his face as he remembers his sister then.

    At that moment, she gets off of the swing, turns around, and waves at Bill. Bill smiles and slightly waves back, hoping no one saw him. When he looks, he sees Hope looking right at him, smiling. He smiles back at her and when he turns his head back to look at the playground, Marie is gone. He breathes deeply and clutches his mother’s hand again, gaining strength from her at this time.

    As the song ends and the camera crews from the local news record the funeral procession as it arrives at the church, the scene very slowly fades to black.

    On the Next Salem Lives...

    VENDETTA CLIP #6

    The MCF continues to hold a gun to Cassie's head and has his or her hand covering her mouth. He drags her through several alleys and repeatedly reminds her not to do anything stupid and to remain silent. Cassie notices that they are going deeper and deeper into Salem's seedy part of town. She notices they are entering the upper west side warehouse district. The MCF then stops at a warehouse and peers through the window. He or she then takes out some sort of gadget.

    The MCF attaches the gadget to the door handle and Cassie witnesses the gadget turn the door knob and break it right off. The MCF then opens the door and drags Cassie in to the damp, dark warehouse. He or she drags Cassie through the dark as Cassie can feel herself knocking into crates and tables left and right. The MCF then stops and says:

    MCF (via voice changer): We are going some stairs. Follow my lead and don't try anything funny.

    The MCF continues to cover Cassie's mouth with his or her hand. Cassie is then dragged up the stairs, trying to maintain her balance and to keep from getting injured. After making it up a long and winding steel staircase, Cassie can feel she is on flat ground now. They walk for a short distance before stopping again. The MCF uses his or her lock gadget again to open the door.

    MCF: Get in.

    The MCF drags her further into the room and then finally lets go of her. The MCF holds her at gunpoint and says:

    MCF: Good girl. You behaved better then I thought.
    Cassie: Who are you? What do you want?
    MCF: You'll see in due time. I must go though but you are going to wait here for awhile.
    Cassie: You are the one the police are after. Your the mysterious cloaked figure that has been terrorizing everyone. Your the person who shot my grandfather and put him in a coma!
    MCF: I am also the person that can make you dear old grandpa Dimera never wakes up from that coma if you don't follow my instructions and behave yourself.
    Cassie: Why are you doing this? Why did you shoot my grandfather and why are you lurking around messing with so many people? You asked me when you called if I wanted revenge on Chelsea, Max, and Abby. How do you know them? How do you know...
    MCF: WOULD YOU STOP WITH THE QUESTIONS?! Just sit down and wait for me to get back and then we will handle our business.
    Cassie: What business?
    MCF: You'll see. I will answer one question for you. It's one of the very questions your grandfather asked me before he went into la la land. You asked why I am doing this and there is a very simple answer to that. It's what you want, Cassie. You feel wronged, don't you? You want to destroy your enemies...you want Max, Abby, and even Chelsea to pay don't you?
    Cassie: Yeah...
    MCF: That's what I want. I want my enemies to pay. I want revenge, Cassie. I will do whatever it takes to get that revenge. Like I told your father that night, it's called a VENDETTA. That is what this is and, if I have my way, soon I will achieve the goals I set long ago. I have waited so long and it's all so close at hand.
    Cassie: I don't understand.
    MCF: Good. Let's keep it that way. I must go. Don't do anything stupid because, if you do, I will know it. Beleive me, your being watched.
    Cassie: How? This places looks abandoned.
    MCF: I have my ways. I will be back soon.

    The MCF closes the door. Cassie reaches the door and tries to open it but can't. She doesn't understand how that is possible as the MCF broke the lock off the door. Meanwhile, outside, the MCF has put some sort of electronic lock on the door and then pulls out a small television monitor. The MCF turns it on and he or she can see Cassie inside the locked room.

    MCF: Told you I have my ways. You just stay put, Ms. Dimera. You and me have much to discuss.

    The MCF leaves as the scene shifts back to the room where Cassie is. We can see a small camera bug attached to one of the desks in the room, which is how the MCF is watching Cassie on his or her monitor. Cassie realizes she can't get out of the room.

    Cassie: It's no use. This person found someway to lock it. God...what is going on? Who would want to do all this? Why is he or she doing this to us? Why?!

    The scene then fades out on Cassie's bewildered face and then fades into...
