Exactly. As a Black man, how do I reconcile all those votes for Trump with my Christian beliefs (to love one's neighbor as you would love yourself)? How do I keep myself from going apeshit with paranoia and rage? I realize that "a win is a win," but the fact is, Democrats should never have let things get this close in a year with a pandemic that's showing no signs of letting up. Racism and sexism are strong in this country, but they aren't insurmountable. Either our message is flawed, or we're choosing the wrong messengers to deliver it.

What does that fool(ish turtle) care about the 2022 map? He got what he wanted: a SCOTUS that leans so far to the right, we might as well turn back the clock to 1850.

Let me be clear: I didn't want JUST for Biden to win, or JUST for the Democrats to regain the Senate (while keeping the House). I wanted (White) America to vote the muthafuckin' GOP out with a vengeance. I wanted y'all to prove -- to me, to my fellow black and brown peeps, to the whole damn world -- that we are wrong to mistrust and despise you; that, deep down, you're really glad to have us around.

Frankly, I think everyone misread the long lines at the polling places. The majority were turning out for Trump, not Biden.

It's now more important than ever that we (Democrats) take back the Senate.

As many have been saying, both here and elsewhere, even if/when Biden wins, we still face the monumental task of learning to co-exist with so many who supported this administration and their destructive agendas.

No matter what happens tonight, or whenever a winner is declared, I know I will never again look at this country without thinking about the past four years, or all the attempts to disenfranchise POC from what is supposed to be a free and fair election for all. My love for and naivete about my country, if I ever had it, is gone forever.

It's a shame we have to put ourselves at risk -- y'know, with COVID-19 and all -- but I think we, more than any other voter bloc in this country, understand what's at stake here.
