Another disappointment in Thiem....hopefully Tsitsipas will beat Novak....TC is already saying he is back...IMO he hasn't looked all that great in Canada. Lawd TC already has him as the favorite for the US Open.

Why was it disrespectful from the announcer? I've seen it done with other players. I thought Tiafoe yelling out over him was more disrespectful.

Tsitsipas.....so is the T silent or not? I thought it was but the umpire in yesterday's match kept saying Tsitsipas while the rest say sitsipas.

I expected the match to be much closer. Tsitsipas shots are landing way too short. Tsitsiaps is a fighter though and I expect him to make changes.

Thiem has a dreadful draw in Canada. First round bye followed by Tsitsipas and if gets past that Novak and then Sasha.....good thing he only has 45 points to defend from last year. He has never done well in Canada. He always does much better in Cincy the following week. The rankings race should get very interesting with Grigor. Sasha and Anderson having to defend a lots of points in the next few weeks. Too bad Andy pulled out of the QFs match...wanted to see him play against Alex. Still glad to see Alex in the Semis along with Tsitsipas.

I stayed up for the match and he cried for almost a good 5 minutes.

From his media page ....Dominic Thiem I am sad to announce that I had to withdraw from the doubles here in Kitzbühel. The physios told me, that I shouldn’t be playing tennis for 2-3 days to prevent a shoulder injury from happening. I want you guys to know that I haven’t been effected by any shoulder issues during yesterday’s match, but I have to focus on my health now, especially with the big tournament’s coming up in the next few weeks. No one is more disappointed than I am, but I had to make the decision and I am sure it’s the right one. When will his coach and he learn he is playing too much.....

And Stan will not play in Canada because he didn't use his protective ranking but instead asked for a wild card and didn't get it.

It's amusing when Brett Haber calls Andy Murray a tennis legend.......I was like WTF and then just and then he mentioned how noble Andy is.... Lawd Brett sure was licking some ass. He was a finalist in Paris. He doesn't need to prove anything else on clay. Nadal doesn't even play these meaningless tourneys(even though one is a 500 one). He IMO is hurting his clay court standing as being only behind Nadal. He should be focusing on the hard court season and relaxing these two weeks. When will his coaches finally wake up too and stop him from playing so much?

Lawd...Thiem just lost to Klizan in his own home tourney. When will he stop playing so much tennis? There was no reason for him to play two back to back clay court tournaments.

I miss the US Open on CBS. There was more tennis and less fluff talk. Gawd ESPN is just horrible with meaningless chat about nothing instead of showing matches at the majors. Wimbledon was so much better when it was on NBC/HBO.

You know me too well Chit. The Erica Kane/Barbara Ryan came out of me in college when I wanted a guy that had a significant other. I'm sure if by some miracle I met Thiem...we'd be good friends. NY is my only hope of every meeting him. Love Grigor's workouts...they're so shirtless....
