Hi guys. Have Videoland made an error labelling episodes? They’re saying episode 2305 is the first episode of Season 11, but this episode aired on 4 June 1996 (CBS). A June premiere date seems incorrect?

On VL, Season 10 is labelled 2240-2304 (65 episodes), not the usual ~250 eps per season. I assume a mistake? 2240 aired 1 March 1996 (CBS).

It got me thinking though, does anyone know which season/year they changed the season premiere date from March to September? The change-a-roo surely meant one season in particular had more than usual ~250 episodes because the season ran from March-September (the following year)?

    Thanks in advance ☺️

Videoland has made such errors before.

As for your "seasons" question: the official YouTube started labelling Fall seasons with 1996-1997 beginning in September 1996. However, those who remember the old cbs.com with tons of recaps and other stuff will remember that the website used Spring seasons decades longer. IMO; they started in 2011 (?) when the show went to HD and CBS switches to Fall renewals of its daytime shows.

Videoland have really effed up with DELETING all seasons except the last 200 episodes. This is very stupid since people want to binge watch and they will lose lots of interest that way. They should have kept the last 2-3 seasons at least. Thank God we have everything recorded.

This also happened before. Suddenly, they remove a lot of content... Therefore we cannot thank our gracious uploaders to the Vault enough - this is a dream come true!

I was STUNNED when they just passed over Caroline's funeral. In my mind, Bell didn't want to force Ronn Moss to act that out, lol

IMO; Bill Bell thought that Caroline's cancer and death was already too much sadness for summertime. Therefore he skipped the funeral. I don't agree with this choice, though.

Thats a complete utter lie in the commentary. Thats not how Caroline died. She didnt look good. The actress lost weight and looked very sick for weeks in story. Also the final scenes were very strong. She acted amazingly. These people dont know what they are talking about. Absurd.

The death scene was AMAZING acting-wise. The whole plot was kinda so-so, IMO. The weird disease which was not disclosed, then Caroline looked way too radiant for a while, Ridge moved on after her death in record speed. I'd say there was room for improvement in this execution even though it was a powerful story which lasting effect for a long time.

Me and my husband are watching 2000 still. [..]

Its absurd how 50 plus year old sit all day talking about Amber or CJ. Not realistic at all.

But at least the show looks good and has a fresh energy.

The good old days when the show could afford those big group scenes. I really liked that in 2000 most days on B&B lasted for about 20 episodes. There were so many great climax scenes and moments of must-see-storylines.

Of course it was ridiculous for the 50+ group to be super invested in CJ&Amber, but it was a welcome excuse to pit Susan Flannery against Darlene Conley. Talk about golden moments.

He's first credited with Jack Smith on May 5, 1993, but I think May 20, 1993 is when he took over completely. Jack Smith is credited above him from 5/5/93-5/19/93

I noticed that, too. I wonder if they just messed up closing credits because NO ONE ever mentioned that Jack Smith was headwriting back then - and it made no sense to have him as interim HW for such a short time frame.

August 1990 - the show is moving through Ridge's grief SO fast, it's somewhat absurd... but I kinda don't care. I mean, it's ridiculous he and Taylor are falling for each other two whole weeks after his wife died but their chemistry is unbelievable. Their scenes sizzle. Compare it to Taylor and Storm... who feel more like siblings... lol

It's exciting that Taylor is finally beginning to feel like the Taylor we later come to know and love.

    ❤️

The whole Taylor&Ridge story until James' arrival is picture perfect super couple storytelling. This couple is fresh and the actors have off-the-charts chemistry. Ridge as the grieving widower is always a super difficult moment for the show because the writers never dared to to the logic step: actually write Ridge off for at least a month. In 1990 he drove off with his bike after Caroline's funeral (which we never got so see which was a HUGE let-down, IMO) and was back in love-story a month later. The show still honored Caroline (the garden scene is soooooo beautiful around the first anniversary of this event!), but in general the pacing was ridiculous in 1990. IMO; the reral stand-out in this time period is Sally/Clarke/Julie. What an amazing storyline!

Oh god… I was watching BB 2003-2005 lately and Amber making a picture of Ridge and Bridget kissing while nearly freezing to death. Like who came up with that stuff? I know they needed a way to write out Amber but wth was that? They turned her into such a lunatic and cut off nearly all ties there. Thank god for Y&R and redeeming her.

Yep, it was just tragic and shocking at the same time. Adrienne Franntz was the ultimate Brad Bell pet, yet suddenly he lost interest in her in 2004 and then created this suuuuuper weird Big Bear storyline. I did not like Amber after 2003, but this was just random. Indeed, Amber's time on Y&R was a pleasant surprise. She worked well under all the headwriters there and I never had issue with her. I LOVED Amber & Daniel. Her return to B&B didn't bother me. A redux of a WTD-story and the vansihing act into thin air with Baby Rosey (?) was unneeded and made the whole thing superfluous.

one of my favorite B&B storylines was the custody battle between Macy/Deacon against Amber and Rick… It was such a shame how Rick became such a jerk torwards Amber during all of this but I loved Deacon and Macy.

Agreed! Deacon & Macy were so HOT. And summer 2003 was AMAZING until Brad Bell simply decided to ditch everything that was working. Bringing on Sydney Penny as Samantha, making Brian Gaskill as Ozzy Marone front and center, focussing on Massimo and Jackie (poor Lesley-Anne Down!) and therefore killing all momentum in Rick/Amber/Deacon/Macy was mind-blowing.

Though 10 is bumping it from its timeslot for the return of Neighbours to an earlier slot. They have also been screwing around with its repeat airings in the mornings in the last year.

@boldau do you have the figures from last year to compare? Still the ratings seem decent and I'm sure 10 has bigger issues to worry about like how their primetime is a mess and how the network is consistently fourth in the ratings.

As an outsider, I would assume that TEN feels they NEED B&B as a catalyst for the Neighbors return and therefore as lead-in...

One Life to Live Stars to Pay Tribute to Andrea Evans In Upcoming Livestream

To pay tribute, and to honor their friend and former One Life to Live co-star, Erika Slezak (ex-Viki), John Loprieno (ex-Cord), Fiona Hutchison (ex-Gabrielle), Robert S. Woods (ex-Bo), and special guests, will join Michael Fairman for a very special livestream to celebrate Andrea’s life and career.

Wow - that's an epic set of former co-stars involved. And I was never much an OLTL viewer.

I think what happened with Karen is that she got lost in the shuffle. 1992-1994 B&B had too many females in the early 30s age range (Brooke, Macy, Taylor, Karen, Sheila) and not enough storyline to go around.

Exactly. And keep in mind: Joanna Johnson had lost interest in acting in the mid-90s and started writing even though it took yearsfor her first projects to be made. It might have been also her choice o leave, although I have never got confirmation if she was let go or wanted out.

  9. Sorry to go off-topic: is Peter Bergman a close friend of Brian Cranston!???

i was stunned to see Will & Grace’s Sean Hayes post a bunch of celebrity pics of who visited him for his celebrated New York stage run in “Goodnight Oscar” - and Peter Bergman was the only soap star in those pics - along with Loving vet Cranston.

Hello, all. First i want to thank agian our Angels! Now i am watching episode 2062 and Jesica just mentioned a year younger sister from John and Maggy. Was that ever mentioned again? I do not remember. I thought John had only Jesica and Ivy.

Interesting. I always thought Ivy was a complete retcon and never mentioned before...

BETTER CALL SAUL - Season 3. Brilliant. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

Aww - I'm tempted for a rewatch of the entire BB/BCS world just reading this.

THE LEFTOVERS - Season 1 - not exactly sure what I'm seeing but it is amazing. Great acting and fascinating writing.

HOMELAND - Just finished the Brody years and started the drone SEASON 4 in Pakistan/Afghanistan. The show holds up extremely well even in second viewing. (Have never seen season 6-8, curious how they were).

2001 has some shocking moments but ones I found quite entertaining... I'll never forget the moment, I think either May or June, when

      Reveal hidden contents

Jan-May 2011 was AMAZING. The Throoke wedding, Tim Reid and Morgan and the whole Taylor/Ridge/kids stuff, Deacon terrorizing the Forresters. It was gold!

The Latino invasion was kind blah in the summer and never really cared for Massimo was the big fall storyline. Brooke's fall from the Eiffel tower (studio set!) is major camp, though.

I'm still gushing over the Macy& Thorne concert in Rotterdam from 1994. Look who I spotted: a very junior Brad Belld and Colleen in the audience!

Yep Brooke wore one dress, Hope wore the other 2, it all feels so pointless

They wasted money to go to Rome for this??? Bradley shouldn't be allowed $$ for another remote unless he can guarantee it's not for something as pointless as Rome

You guys miss out on the point of the remotes in recent years. They are press tours that they combine with some filming for the on-screen screen product. Exceptions were Cabo San Lucas and the LA remotes. The rest is all PR work combined with a quickie location shoot.

That said: the Rome remote is exactly as to be expected. LAME

    2 hours ago, soapfan770 said:

Embarassing yes, stupid yes about these Rome shoots instead of an actual runway show, but still somehow not as bad as that hot mess of a fashion show centered around the pointless Zoe/Xander/Emma a few years back.

And Emma worked for WEEKS on her dance moves for the "fashion show". One of B&B alltime lows. It was HIGH CAMP

  14. #1930: The Rotterdam concert is about to begin. Talk about a fantastic episode. Darlene Conley sparkles like a diamond in every scene she is in. Sally and Eric awake from their little Martini party on the plane to the Netherlands. Macy is hiding that her throat is aching and secretly uses a respirator. Due to a flight delay, Thorne and Macy have to skip rehearsal at the arena in Rotterdam. I kindly blink out this utter lack of realism that music stars would stage a concert after a 12 hour flight of dry air, in another time zone no less. It makes great drama, though. Just as Sally takes center stage to announce the singing duo, there is one catch. Macy has disappeared – and so has Thorne who is looking for her. Throw in a quickie scene with Ivana and Anthony in L.A. talking about Macy’s health scare plus a wonderful scene with Sheila and Mike where she realizes for the first time that he is her only true friend. They don’t make episodes like this anymore!

Remember you asked me about How Far The Episodes In Brazil went? I got my hands On A Full Dubbed Episode from The same Episodes were shown in Portugal, Stephen Logan has already made his return and Asked Beth to remarry him, so there's that, Also by The Length of The Episode, The Probably Showed 3 original Episodes at once

Ah cool. Thanks for digging into this

interesting to know that B&B was aired quite heavily and then dropped. You’d think with the telenovela competition there would be an audience. Apparently it was snot big enough

And that the Rome episodes are as good as they're making them out to be.

Unfortunately, the weather was mostly TERRIBLE. I think it will be similair like the 2018 (?) Monte Carlo location shoot where the characters are all in awe and gushing about the beauty of their surroundings and as a viewer you simpy shrug and say "okayyyyyy" because its only grey skyes and the whole thing looks like it was hastily recorded within the 5 second break of a rain shower. Rome makes a great backdrop though and they chose some pretty cool locations from what could be seen on instagram.
I encourage you to keep your expectations VERY low (keep in mind which characters are Italy bound - snooooze!) and maybe you will be pleasantly surprised.
