Noticed last week that Crimson Lights actually had a customer!! An older man who sat in a booth staring at his phone and then wandered to the jukebox and stared at that.

Anyway, why suddenly one extra as a customer after months of emptiness?? That makes no sense -so in keeping with a lot of the show these days..

I hope it’s a sign that one day things will return to normal. I’ve been afraid that they got used to saving money and decided to keep things as they were — no customers anywhere, no extras, nothing special.

I'm only 12 minutes into today's episode but I'm having so much fun watching these Johnny/Chanel/Paulina scenes. Johnny's only been back for a few days but his return is the best part of the show.

Edit: OMG, Paulina is asking Johnny if he's fluid. This is great.

The Paulina and Johnny conversation was funny and great, but I did smh when Johnny declared himself 100% straight.

Ron C has no problem with the girls being fluid, but as others have said, you won’t see it with guys. Any lines about Tripp liking boys? Or Ben?

It could be teased with Chad because Billy Flynn goes all in with guys and can be very affectionate and hands on. It’s all homoerotic, but I think that’s to Billy’s credit, not the writing.

And no, I’m not suggesting the show become some gay haven, but it’s just absurd that a gay male writer won’t write gay/bi males or isn’t allowed to, but teasing girl on girl sex is fine.

As far as this board is concerned, I never felt uncomfortable seeing pics of shirtless guys and other thirst traps. It’s 2021, for God’s sake.

I do appreciate Toups’ response to my previous post, as well as others having my back.

Dude, go watch porn or get laid or something.  Constantly posting pictures is so annoying - you do it so many threads.  There’s a Daily Hotness thread where you can post pictures all day if you want.

Wow. I’ve been part of some awkward and even harsh discussions here, but a post like this from an Admin is awfully mean. “Go watch porn or get laid”? I mean, damn.

Tripp was discussed and Soapsuds posted a couple shirtless pics of the guy. That was it. No raunchy language, no outrageous pics. That got him a smackdown?

I don’t know Soapsuds, so this isn’t personal. It just seems wrong to me. Maybe others don’t want to comment and rock the boat, but I just don’t understand a public attack like this.

I don’t post photos, but I had no idea they weren’t welcome here, or that they should be posted only on some supposed Hotness page.

I like this board, but it’s not like it takes hours to read the daily posts — there’s not that much happening here. I’d think administrators would be happy to see more visitors and posts here, not fewer.

I don’t want or expect anything to result from this post. Maybe I’ll be shot down, too. I just wanted to express my opinion. Administrators expect us to “behave” on here, so I’d expect the same from them.

Oh, just @ me next time since most of your years of posting history is calling out the entire forum and threatening to call their manager when they disagree with you. Be shocked all you like! Call a cop. He's green! But he's got good chemistry with people and charisma and he works in the role. It's not that serious.

Why would I @ you? LOL  I didn’t remember who made those comments about Nicholas Chavez, so no, I wasn’t thinking about you at all when I said Chavez isn’t green.

We’re all just giving our opinions here, honey. Try not to be so defensive. As you said, it’s not that serious.

  5. Nicholas Chavez has been terrific since Day One.

I was actually stunned when some said he was “green” in his first appearances, and “nervous” but they’d give him a chance. Huh??? He’s nailed it from his first appearance, always looking as if he belonge and had chemistry with everyone.

If this keeps up, he’ll be gone after his first contract. That kid has talent.

William Lipton (Cam) and Eden McCoy (Joss) really disappear in scenes with Chavez and Sydney Mikayla, and I think it’s apparent they’re not ready for front burner stories. they can’t compare to NC and SM.

I don't understand why they wouldn't ask him. There is nothing that he has done or said that would prompt the show who is bringing back people who have been off the show for much longer to target him.
He is an idiot for saying no to a few days paid work and full of himself and deluded. And he definitely preempted the recast announcement to make clear HE said no. But I don't see why they wouldn't have at least tried.
We have all kinds of thoughts about him and Sonny but the show has no reason to feel that way

Apparently someone on the show can se he has zero chemistry with CM and is a terrible actor.

No. It is not her fault. We were reflecting on how weird it is for the show to have made those moves and not use her.

As for the current SL, I am not questioning why Phyllis would be pissed at these two for being manipulative. That's fine. It is not absurd and I kind of agree Phyllis on the warpath have some entertainment value. But it is hard for me to drudge much emotion over "OMG These bitches got my daughter her dream job in Europe! Oh the humanity!".

Summer is the one who ended her pending marriage. Which is not to say Tara and Sally did not connive and should not be criticized obviously - they did and they should - but when it came down to it Summer made that completely unnecessary call. There was NO reason for her to walk away. I am no Summer fan but she could have wiped the floor with Tara if she had wanted. She gave up - which is bad writing but now that's what occurred on-screen so it is canon.
And Summer looked at the job and wanted it. Again, the fact those who offered it to her had their own agenda is irrelevant to the fact that Summer looked at the situation and thought that was the best thing for her. They didn't force her. Phyllis has her own selfish agenda in not wanting her to take it too after all so it works both ways
In the end if Summer herself thought breaking off with Kyle and taking the job was a better path for her future than staying in GC, why should I be upset?
    Sorry, it is not high-stakes.
Summer sleeping with Billy was high-stakes. Phyllis being raped was high-stakes. Those were situations where people suffered because of actions by others.
Here Summer is not suffering; she is thriving. And it was her own choice.

It is a criticism of the writing btw, not of Phyllis. Phyllis' reaction is reasonable enough in the situation but from the beginning of the Phyllis vs Sally story they have been stretching to find a good reason for them to feud and I have yet to see something that has me emotionally invested one way or another.

Well, the writing is bad, but much of it is forced because of Hunter King’s contract situation. We’ll never know how this story would have played if SONY/CBS weren’t so cheap.

The problem is Phyllis used to fight for stuff that mattered a bit more. Like her granddaughter Baby Lucy who had been sold into an illegal adoption.
Now she’s stealing phones to get to the bottom of her daughter taking a great job that’s probably a dream job for Summer. Her real problem is that her daughters a wimp who couldn’t stand up to Tara or even tell her mom that Tara had threatened to take Harrison away from Kyle. Is it worth getting to the bottom of? Sure. Is it worth numerous scenes, drawing Billy into it and acting like the world has ended? No.

Again, all of Summer’s moves can be attributed to writers faced with an actress’s contract expiring and not being renewed. I’m not excusing or defending the writing, because I don’t like it either. It makes Summer’s choices ridiculous.

I also have a feeling that Tara/Ashland playing them and that Ashland is really Harrison's father. And this is some ploy to get back at the Newman's.

I don’t get why some people say that Tara and Ashland might be working together. We’ve seen them arguing — alone— with no one else around.it would make no sense to now decide they’re working together.

Yes, if anyone gives his work 110%, it's Chandler Massey.

LMAOOOOOOO So true. The guy is one lazy actor, and no one signals “this script is garbage” like Chandler Massey. Getting him to commit to the material is near impossible, and instead it’s all smirks and near-eye rolls.

CM is a nice guy, but I hope he finds a career he enjoys and stays away from acting.

  9. I’ve enjoyed Stafford a lot in the past couple weeks. She’s back to being the conniving and over-involved Phyllis, and I love it.

I have no problem with a mother being upset that her daughter is now in EUROPE and not closer to home. The stakes aren’t high? Uh...Tara and Sally effectively ended the relationship and pending marriage of Kyle and Summer, and that’s plenty enough to make Phyllis pissed.

I agree that MS has had too little to do since returning, but that’s not her fault. Yes, I liked Gina Tognoni a great deal — but she’s gone. I can’t deny that Michelle Stafford feels like Phyllis to me.

My assumption is that Nicholas Bechtel lost the role because he didn't shoot up in height fast enough to play a contemporary of Joss, Cameron and Trina.

The new guy is alright but he lacks the puckish charm that NB brought to the character. And he doesn't have the high hair.

That puckish charm that NB brought to the show wouldn’t work with him as a teen. He looks and acts as if he’s in some Harry Potter spin-off. This new actor work well and fits in with the other actors.
