  1. Take a look at Billy and Lily’s new place. When they’re in the “living room,” one character sits in the chair — which is so close to the entrance door it’s ridiculous. This is how wealthy people live? That set is a piecemeal dump.

Also hilarious? The Chancellor Park set. I’m sure the Abbott back yard is a lot bigger for that kid. You know, Harrison — the one they tell us is so great but that we haven’t seen evidence of.

RH plays every character like a goofball. I don't actually have any problem with Austin so far - I just hate that we have to watch RH do his goofy shtick as yet another character. They have him interacting with every flippin character too it feels like. I don't need to see RH all over the canvas.

Yep, just more annoying RH acting tics. And did you notice he’s wearing a name tag with no last name? Just Austin? GMAFB.

  3. Price Town sounds like Super Walmart. Who wants to see junk everywhere? I don’t.

Besides, the entire project being done undercover by Paulina is absolutely ridiculous. No building ordinances? No votes by council? No involvement by banks? No deals made with HTS stores?

And how did Chanel and Allie get a loan when the place is about to be torn down in the middle of the night? The whole thing is just stupid.

The second point is true enough. NLG who Lord knows doesn't hide when she dislikes someone and would have plenty of reason to resent MB over what happened last year seemed a lot more indulgent towards him than Ingo.

But I always say to people: acting nice to other people is a different thing from actually being nice.
He can be super friendly and not act diva-ish and at the same time still be an a**h***e. He can laugh with you and still not have your back when it counts. You can be good at smoothing things over when you have won already and still be the one that stabbed you in the back to win. Heck, he can really get along with you since you don't threaten him and do really really bad things to those who do.
I know we have had four years of a very prominent counter-example in the news but not all narcissists are sociopaths. Some are perfectly comfortable and good at interacting socially; heck they feed their narcissism on getting along with everyone even when they are perfectly happy DOING things to the same everyone that are not nice.
And inversely some of the people around him may be fooled but others may know where their bread is buttered and pretend to be fooled.
We don't know. What I do know is how he treats fans of the show and the kind of things he said and does on social media and I tend to think social media - because it is so instinctive and immediate and people don't think twice and just tweet and react - reveals a lot about someone's darkest impulses.

Speaking of NLG, after the MB mess, she tweeted and delivered A LOT of shade while praising GH and never directly mentioning Benard.

Well, I was fond of his version of Adam too.
But I am keeping an open mind that some version of the rumor might be true - maybe a lesser versiona, a smaller incidentl that *added* to his otherwise complicated relationship with his castmates rather than an outright firing offense. My clue that it can't entirely be about his personality is that JM was real buds with him outside of work when he was there and since then silence. Something else must have happened but it doesn't have to be anywhere near the level of gravity of outright sexual harassment to have been the final straw for a guy who already had powerful enemies.
In any case I don't think it is fair to blame HK in any of the scenarios and it seems very clear that the entire cast was firmly told NOT to discuss.
We know SC is still very friendly with him and yet has never said anything publicly to support him either. And while KsJ's tweet was hard to read - although it didn't read to me as something he would have said if the rumor was true - it was very clear his frustrations were as much with the orders he was under not to discuss it publicly.
So whether she was a victim in the first place or simply in a rumor about something that didn't happen, I don't think it was on HK to handle and I can't blame her for staying out of it. Even as a fan of his work, MM did deserve at least some of the blowback he got - she emphatically didn't in any of the potential scenarios.
In the end it will stay a huge mystery unless someone at YR with nothing to lose and no axe to grind ends up telling the true story.

Thanks for the logical, rational, sensible posts about Muhney and Hunter King. Those on here implying that she has some ace contract because of what (they believe) happened are ridiculous. Once again, the female gets blamed — when she never opened her mouth publicly about anything.

I loved Muhney as Adam, but the stories about him are many. Calling him difficult would be an understatement. He didn’t learn anything after losing at Veronica Mars, and he compounded his reputation at Y&R. I have to believe he was warned MULTIPLE times to clean up his act.

I don’t get what was so awful about what Maurice Benard said onstage accepting his Emmy.  I’ve long stopped caring about Sonny, but no matter what I think, he is the tenured star of the show right now, and has been certainly since JFP arrived, if not a couple of years before.  Once they put him with Carly, the two corners of the show not storyline connected to Luke & Laura directly became the overwhelming majority of story.

Is it egotistical to say that out loud?  Yes.  Other people say it, not you.  But I also get he is proud of the show and his place on it.  Now his version of star doesn’t compare to what existed for the popular GH cast of the 1980’s.  But he is clearly the star of the show.

And I love Genie.  She will always be GH royalty to me.  Same with Finola Hughes, TR, hell even Vanessa Marcil.  She has kept me tuning in during some real boring eras of this show.  But by choice and by lack of support from TPTB she has come and gone several times over her tenure on the show.  I’m not saying her exits were not justified- they were.

MB’s humblebrag at the Emmys was just his repeating what he said on his podcast — that he’s the star of the show, and Frank said so. Then he followed all that with a mess he created on Twitter.

The man is OBNOXIOUS. He won a lead actor Emmy and then spent the weekend fighting on Twitter. That’s just nuts, and it’s what happens with an out-of-control ego.

As much as I am here for the drama that will surround a Jarly marriage, you're telling me a pair of criminals have to get LEGALLY married to prove their union to other criminals??? Couldn't they just say they got married?

Yep, the whole thing is ridiculous. Could stronger writing save it? Maybe, but as written, no. The idea that all these major criminal families are fighting over  PORT FRICKIN CHARLES is just absurd.

Just heard some hopeful news. I was reading on another forum that they are hopeful that Summer won’t be back because Hunter is in contract negotiations and they aren’t going so well!!!!!!

Not what I’m hearing or reading.

That reminds me of Noah’s girlfriend on the show at the time with the nickname “Porney” because it was running joke(or was it?) the actress was once on PornHub.

It’s Kelli Goss. She’s on The United States of Al and is actually doing a nice job.

Totally understood. When I'm bored  or find the story stupid on YR I notice this instead.

Just wondering— is Mark still in this kind of shape? He’s great looking and I’m not calling him fat or out of shape, but in tighter sweaters, he’s not looking in the best condition, at least to me.

Am I just imagining this? I keep thinking that maybe the pandemic carbs have hit.

  9. They need to modify that dialogue between Paulina and Abe, because it won’t wear well on a continued basis.

I feel the same way about Chanel and Allie. How many times do we have to hear Chanel is sexually fluid and hear comments when she hugs Allie? Sexuality is not a storyline.

I also thought it was bizarre to hear Paulina make comments to her own daughter about having sex with Allie. She acted like her sorority sister  instead of her mother.

I just watched today's episode and thought the same thing. What was even the point of Dr. Snyder if they were just going to kill him off that quickly? This blackmail plot with Gwen is still relatively new, and Xander getting involved in the story is very new, then there's also Dr. Snyder being in on Kate's fake blindness... and boom he's randomly dead now. WTF?

Also... can we please get Philip a better haircut and wardrobe? And maybe a women who's actually interested in being with him?

I'm really not minding new EJ so far. I like having so many people mingling at the DiMera mansion. I liked the Sami/Gabi scenes yesterday. Kate making Jake squirm cracks me up.

That doctor can’t be dead — makes no sense to kill him off this soon. Why have Kayla and Tripp notice the missing pills, etc.? I’m not buying he’s dead.

Phillip needs a new hairstyle — the cut he has makes his face look longer. So does Lucas, who’s had the same cut for decades and looks terrible.

  11. Hunter King is killing it as Summer, though I hate this writing that has her keeping secret what Tara said to her. It makes no sense.

Tired of Jack’s sanctimony as he talks about fatherhood to Kyle. He was a rotten and absent father, and now he walks around the park (on a shitty set) in a suit so he can brag about his grandson playing ball — you know, the cute kid who looks like he’s as quiet as a church mouse and who doesn’t get dirty.

Very nice that Ashland Victoria could meet with Nikki and Victor in the Grand Phoenix lobby, which they had all to themselves.

It was nice to see Victor have a civil conversation with Amanda today.  He doesn't have those very often.

The only problem is that I have no clue as to what the Amanda / Sutton storyline is about. It’s a convoluted mess of things that happened offscreen, and I just can’t follow it — so I have no reason to care.

The entire story is a damn disaster.

I simply expressed hope things can be brought down a notch once the current frustration subsides and then shared my own admittedly generous take on WR.
You can rest assured you are and will stay as free to consider him a bad actor as you do now and there was nothing in my post to suggest otherwise.
In any case even bad actors do not deserve the torrent of bile thrown at him on Twitter and I am just a softie: as documented on this thread, I haven't been the last to criticize some of his ridiculous performances but I am just so uncomfortable with the aggressivity and what borders on personal abuse. If only so that nastiness goes away, him being written out is a relief.

On a more positive note, as documented on past GH threads, I 1000% agree that the direction is atrocious and it boggles the mind that noone tried to rein in the worst impulses of WR, PL, RH etc. That is definitely something we agree on and more.

i agree with you regarding Wes Ramsey. I understand why people mocked and hated his character and bad acting choices, but the abuse — and make no mistake, it is abuse — has been horrific.

I hope Ramsey has stayed away from Twitter, which has been beyond ugly and vile. I’m not a fan of Peter is Dead parties, I know that. How long will the abuse continue?

The character was poorly written, and Wes made lousy acting choices, compounded by his use of Juilliard in an interview. So now crucifying him is the way to go? Count me out. It’s so bad I feel sorry for the guy.
