  1. This episode...just no. -- The adoption story is junk. Naomi comes off like a total idiot and she annoys me like hell. I said it before -- spend some time getting June straightened out before presenting her kids to her. Is Naomi's entire character life going to be involvement in other people's lives? -- Are we now going to see June "straightened out" after a day of living with Regina? She dumped her kids when she was a full-fledged drug addict. Are we going to hear what a nightmare life Samantha and Tyrell had with her? Or are they going to romanticize everything and tell us all the good June did by giving them up? -- I am going to lose it if June is now portrayed as clear-minded and mentally well. She's been living on the streets and we've seen her behave like someone who needs intense therapy and rehab. -- And yes, this story would work better if the kids were younger. At their age? Not so much. -- The Smitty/Martin marriage already had enough turmoil. I don't understand giving them this problem, too. -- Smitty and Martin warmed up and were more of a team in the 2nd half of the episode. Earlier? I understand Smitty not wanting to move too quickly to forgive Martin, but he came across as pissy and small. Martin did not ask to return home. He did not ask Smitty for sex. All he did was bring pizza and play cards with the fam. -- So did Uptown close for the night so that ONE couple could meet with a salsa teacher? Did I miss something as to why no one else was there? -- Are all salsa teachers rude when they see someone not dancing well? BTG usually does well in casting, but that guy wasn't hot enough. -- People here and on Reddit are guessing that Kat is asexual. Yes, I know asexual people exist, but I do not want to see that on a soap. I don't care how real it is or that it's not been played before. Using Kat that way would be ridiculous. -- Allison is so over-the-top as a stalker that it's cartoonish. I wish there was a little more subtlety in the writing for her.
  2. -- Aside from Tate looking hot, I was kind of bored by today's episode. -- Sophia always comes off as a downtrodden wet dishrag of a depressed person. I don't know how this character is supposed to work. -- I do not care abut Cat and Chad being sick together. At all. -- The jury's still sequestered? Yeah, that would happen. Everything else about this trial is a joke, so why not, I guess.
  3. Thorsten Kaye must go to therapy immediately after taping an episode. The guy has to be in a clinical depression with the crap they give him to play.
  4. Does ANYONE care about whether or not Will and Electra have sex?
  5. -- I have no problem with Drew being a villain, but it gets ridiculous when it extends to this stuff with Scout and Danny. Drew wanted him to be arrested? Uh....ok. -- Dalton has been completely forgotten about. The show's did a hard left turn and pushed Daniel Goddard aside when Britta and Obrecht came back. -- I can't get over how ugly that Quartermaine foyer is. Who decided to wrap all the molding and woodwork with the same print used on the wallpaper? Set designers never get that set right.
  6. That didn't work. But you know what? My guess is tat Amelia Heinle liked it because it's different and unusual and something to take her mind off those mind-numbingly boring scripts.
  7. And don't forget that June is now going home with Regina at the first ask. This is after returning to the streets multiple times and behaving like someone with serious mental issues.
  8. -- I don't like the June storyline. Making Samantha and Tyrell June's kids is too simple, too easy. I wanted something different. -- Shouldn't Naomi have worried about getting June off the streets and stable instead of all this investigating about the kids? -- Instead, all in ONE DAY, we have Naomi find clues in a letter that Regina never read...June reads the letter and all her memories return....everyone decides June did the right thing giving up the kids...and to top it off, Jacob finds out with no trouble and effort at all who the kids are with. Yeah, OK. -- Why would there be ANY question about custody at this point? Are we really getting a story where June wants them back? For what? So they can see her home on the streets? The story does not work for me. The acting has been fine, but that's it. -- The kids' feelings should matter more than anything or anyone else. Savior Naomi won't see it that way, though. -- Tomas was in one scene today, and AA was as terrible as usual. His line pausings are awful. -- Does Hayley really want kids at all? And why would Bill be so interested at this point in his life about having another child? -- I'm all for keeping Leslie on the show, but I do not want her to be the product of Vernon and Barbara. If that happens, I'm going to complain even more than usual. We don't need more cheating like that to show the Duprees are dysfunctional.
  9. -- Kyle yells that he has to stop Audra once and for all. Can't he just effing stay away from her? Make it make sense. -- The Daniel/Phyllis scenes in the park were PAINFUL. Is that all he does all day -- go to the park to strum his guitar? Get a job, Daniel. And a half dozen scenes with his mother....my God. -- Nate looked good today.
  10. I am a dog person, but soaps write in pets and seem to either forget about them after a short time or get tired of dealing with animals on set. I just don't see it going anywhere. It's absolutely maddening. I hate it like the heat of a thousand suns. GH brings back an actor and then does this with her? Why would you want your audience to despise her from the jump? Or are they completely clueless and think we've forgotten the Britt story and will be moved by her mother's memories?
  11. I can't get past it either. I understand the shot they were taking by aving Belle and EJ as opposing lawyers, but it's not working on any level. Belle wants Johnny to be found innocent yet has to go as hard on him as possible? This makes no sense, and every time she questions him, I can't believe what I'm watching.
  12. -- Can we get rid of that dog and pretend it never happened? -- The Obrecht storyline with Rocco is flat out annoying. Just how many questions would Rocco have about Britt? What can he possible "learn" about her? It is maddening that they're writing Britt like she's Rocco's other mother.
  13. Yep -- Anita Dupree did not win an Oscar for producing Best Animated Short. She's clearly written as someone who won an acting Oscar. I've said it before -- it's a stretch to make these people so famous and so laden with the top awards. I didn't need her to be an EGOT to believe she acted in movies.
  14. Shanice wasn't unprofessional. Ashley's the one who walks away from the desk so she can talk to other people (her mother, Andre) for 20 minutes. How about we reprimand her? I have to agree. A little goes a long way. I don't mind a slower-burn episode, but too many conversations were like Afternoon Specials. He wouldn't. It's just this show again painting Derek as a big dumb jock. A guy like him would not be so ignorant about training for a triathlon or for anything else. Are they going to hospitalize him AGAIN? Sorry, that's overboard. This show can spare me seeing Ashley take care of injured Derek again. -- Ashley says living with Derek was a disaster. She's clueless about relationships. The stuff they "fought" over was just ridiculous. -- And then Ashley tells Derek they're over before they start? This girl is too immature to be in ANY relationship. -- There was NO subtext in the scene with Hayley, Bill, and Randy. If Bill knows Randy -- and it's hard to believe he doesn't -- there should have been. And yes, completely absurd that Randy would go to Hayley and Bill's house. Makes no sense. -- The Devon scenes were fine. Nothing special, but fine. Ending the episode with his brief connect to Dani was weird. Why should we care that they ran into each other?
  15. Regardless of intention, it's ignorance. Was there no one in that writing room or on that set who had a problem with that? It's as if we haven't moved beyond Prissy the servant being slapped by Scarlet O'Hara in Gone With the Wind. Therein lies the problem. B&B has a TERRIBLE record with POC and minorities. Just a couple years ago we saw Eric pushing Carter to act as Mandingo in servicing Quinn. They cannoT help themselves.
  16. Yeah, I agree. Dom is a terrific actor. No one's doing better work on the show.
  17. So the Black character has to get slapped by a white character to make the scene juicy? There are plenty of ways to write juicy without resorting to racial tropes.
  18. Was Grace wrong? Of course. But the optics of Hope slapping Grace -- a white woman slapping a Black woman -- made me cringe and wince. Is there NO ONE at B&B who's not completely blind and ignorant when it comes to race???
  19. I hear you on this, but weren't we told that Hayley was really close with Bill's daughters and his entire family? How did Hayley enter this villain phase while she was so close to Naomi and Chelsea? This storyline is a mess.
  20. I agree. Seeing Dani this distraught over Hayley's baby is just ridiculous, and it makes no sense. Of course, I'm also bothered by how dumb Naomi is with all this. God, no. I have no idea why anyone wants to see this. Derek is a character who's had a hill to climb after being written as an absolute moron, and now you want him to bed the mother of his former girlfriend? Huh? It would be an absolute joke to put Derek and Jan together -- even for one screw.
  21. The ratings for BTG on Thursday and Friday were pretty bad, but look at its lead-in: B&B had an awful Thursday and Friday.
  22. -- I do not want to see Jan chasing Derek. Anyone mentioning that should please rethink it. -- Derek's plea to Ashley was nicely done. Very genuine, and for him, even poetic. I thought Ashley responded as her usual middle schooler -- selfish and self-absorbed, barely listening to Derek's heart or what it took her him to AGAIN go to her. I hope he dumps her basic ass for good. -- Ben Gavin continues to improve. Jen Jacob continues playing to the lousy dialogue they give her. -- I have no idea what's going on with the Hayley story. Like so many here, I needed motivation for what Hayley has done. -- Kill me now if Naomi is as dumb as they're making her seem today -- believing Hayley's stories and lies. There'd better be a twist, because we're getting multiple stories with Naomi seeming clueless. -- Vanessa has to be playing both Doug and Joey. Still, I want to gag when I think of her bedding down with Joey and telling him she wants him more than she wants Doug. Does she have to be a whore to get her way? -- Is Kenny the racist really dead? Or do we spare Jacob's dad by one day showing that he's still alive? I can't trust this show yet to believe that dead means dead. -- The previews showed me that we're getting more lousy acting next week from Tomas, who apparently can't salsa dance with Kat but will be much better at it with Eva. How much you wanna bet he looks laughably awkward with both of them? -- SOOOOO many of us are talking about pacing, and about stories that are dropped for multiple weeks and then picked up again -- with a flattening of momentum in between. I think this is a problem when it's done with almost every story. I think it's planned and I think it's intentional, but I'm not sure it works as often as Gates does it.
  23. -- This entire show is deplorable, and I bemoan the increase in ratings. If we can't get rid of Josh Griffith, there is no hope. -- Cliffhanger Friday? The entire hour was business stories -- who's taking over what company, who's pretending to side with whom and acting as a mole, how every company needs to guard against takeovers, etc. NOBODY -- not one company -- works at selling things or marketing a product. Every company works toward a hostile takeover and bringing the other guy down. NONE of it makes sense. -- Cane returns as a multi-billionaire who's brilliant and powerful. Does he have a team of high-powered executives and lawyers working for him other than Amanda? No. He hires f_ucking Billy and Phyllis, of all people -- two misfits who have failed at so many business ventures I lost count. -- There's no sense detailing all the things wrong with these business stories and this show. As others have said, it's all so lazy and incompetent.
  24. -- Shouldn't a supposedly good businessman like Joey know not to put IRS eyes on Vanessa's accounts? This is another business story that makes no sense. -- And don't get me started on Joey's business being dependent on a couple like Vanessa and Doug. -- Joey really needs an office or a home set if they plan to keep the character. All these backroom casino scenes are laughable. -- Is Ashley going to be Joey's daughter? We're not getting rid of Joey, are we? This move would almost be too obvious. -- Also obvious? That Hayley is faking her pregnancy. Surely this show is not going to blatantly foreshadow one big plot point after another. -- Hayley should have gone to the ER or to Urgent Care immediately. What's up with this "tomorrow morning" stuff? -- Very cool of Derek and Jacob to work out hard and then throw their hot, sweaty bodies on the leather furniture at the club.
  25. -- So Claire is angry and leaves the ranch, but she goes TO THE PARK to vent? 🤣😂🤣
