That's because she is dressing AS Kirsten Storms not as Maxie Jones, and that's where that issue stands. In terms of character it gets "shredded," not actor. I've yet to see anyone bash Storms, merely the choices (or lack thereof) in terms for Maxie Jones.

Nope. Many posters have commented that Storms is making her own decisions on wardrobe and styling.

I ran a poll on "Best Hair in Daytime".

LW won hands down, no competition! with 39% of the vote.

    Tracy Bregman 20%

    Donna Mills 16%

That's cool, Donna. Others disagree with me -- and that's OK. I think her hair is "too much," but I don't think everyone or anyone has to agree with me,.

No one said opinions were off limits. Other people just had opinions about his opinions, didn't they? As in Variety is the spice of life & it's okay to disagree?

Of course it's OK to disagree. I never said it wasn't.

I responded as I did because I was called shallow and judgmental.

And all of that is your opinion. And it's one that, from my POV, is a very shallow and judgmental one to have, especially on women. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It's like telling men they can't have longer hair because they're men, in my opinion. And I know plenty of women Laura Wright's age who would kill to have the volume she has.

I won't deny my hair comments are judgmental and even shallow. And???

Others on this board have been judgmental about wardrobe, hair, styling, and more. Kirsten Storms' styling gets shredded on the regular. We're allowed to share opinions here.

And men? I can offer my opinions on them, too, if you'd like. I didn't in my previous post because I wanted to avoid making my post too long LOL

Laura Wright's hair is all hers. And she always mentions how she misses her shorter hair. As for Jane Elliot & Lynn Herring, both look fine, and I'm fairly certain because Herring is recurring she has more control, and I doubt anyone is going to tell Elliot what to do with her hair. She always mentioned, upon her retirement, she couldn't wait to stop dyeing it. If it's anything like primetime, then I assume a lot of actresses require permission from production when it comes to changing their hair.

I'd love to see you tell Meryl Streep or any non-daytime actress of a certain age what she should do with her hair, because of her age and this so-called "rule".

And more to that point, Judge Judy even stated she grew her own hair out because it was easier for her to maintain. It's all situational. If a woman of a "certain age" wants to keep her hair long, then that's her decision to do so.

If that's all Laura Wright's hair, then she needs to get someone to thin it LOL The volume is crazy.

I never suggested Jane Elliot dye her hair. It's not the color that doesn't work, it's the style.

You do understand these are my opinions, right? I'm not "telling" any actress what to do, I'm not ordering them to get a cut and style. It's pretty clear than anyone -- woman or man -- can have any hairstyle they wish. Doesn't mean I can't offer my opinion on them.

If these actors were on primetime or in a film, they would be TOLD what to do with their hair. They would not have control over their hair or their wardrobe. Daytime has a load of problems, and this is one of them.

Do you believe in those rules that say that after a certain age you can't have long hair, can't wear certain things, etc.? Personally I think they are bunk. But, I wear my hair short these days & the last time I had it long, down my back I was, I think, 44 or 45. So maybe I don't really think they're bunk. Who knows.

Does the occasional older actress look good with long hair? Yes. Still, as a rule, long hair doesn't work on an older actress, and that's why we call it a rule.

I'm not suggesting that Genie Francis should go short, but she'd look better with a shoulder cut. So would Lynn Herring.  It seems like GH lets actors call their own shots, from hair to wardrobe. How else to explain that constant Grandma bun on Jane Elliot? I can see her wearing that once in a while, but all the time? It's aging.

While I'm at it, I'll add that Laura Wright should ditch at least half the extensions in her head.

Now that Spencer is no longer around, Trina should be backburnered. Her screen time should go to Kristina. Kate Mansi is a good actor and Tabyana Ali is not.

You do understand that Trina and Kristina exist in different worlds, right? That their storylines don't touch? You have this weird dislike of Tabyana Ali.

-- I think AS and JS play Brook Lynn and Chase like a couple who's been married for 35 years.

They still love each other, but the horny days have been gone since forever. They're good friends and a peck on the cheek is more than enough.

    Well, it SUCKS.

Josh Swickard did NOT act like this when Chase was with Willow, so I'm putting this on Amanda Setton. It is absolutely insane that GH (Frank?) is "honoring" her wishes regarding boundaries. Where else in entertainment would this be tolerated?

Daytime is not porn, it is not nudity. Her boundaries are just ridiculous, and it's pathetic that GH lets her call the shots. Setton is no Meryl Streep, and they could easily cast the role with someone who was willing to play a real married partner.

  6. And look, I love Eric Braeden as much as anyone. He's a daytime legend and icon.

But he can no longer remember his lines. He spends most of his screen time looking down at the notes on the desk or table in front of him. It's so distracting, and there's almost no eye contact with the other actors.

I don't know what the answer is. Giving him fewer lines might make the problem more obvious, and EB is not likely to quit until he's carried out of there.

Does this mean we most likely won't be seeing her as Nicole ever again? Her contract "ran out", so she is in fact terminated. Or will they all make nice after the lawsuit is over? She will win, big time.

I don't think we really know what it means. Maybe they'll reach an agreement before a trial -- giving Arianne compensation + a new contract. Maybe Sony will play hardball.

If execs care about the show, they'll bring back Zucker -- one of DAYS' best actors in history. But do they care? I'm not sure they do.

I pretty much agree with you. The scab writers are doing a better job of writing for the characters but the pairings Ron left them are boring and uninteresting.

The scabs paused their best story and now were left with nothing. That's why I'm no longer watching Days.

"Boring and uninteresting" says it all.

And let me complain -- again -- about the soaps making "journalism" a big deal. Chad and Everett working for The Spectator feels like some 1980 flashback. It's so dated that it's embarrassing. When I see this kind of thing, all I can think of is that it's time to kill off all the soaps. No one's even trying.

  9. -- Anyone else disgusted with plotting that has Jack ask Lauren to replace Nikki at Newman while she's a drunk?

WTH??? In what world would this take place? Newman is supposed to be this enormous Fortune 500 corporation, yet there's no one to replace Nikki Newman??? And why is the CEO of JABOT coming up with this?

This show is now centered on business stories -- uniformly terrible business stories -- and this is more proof that Josh Griffith can't do any of it right.

    -- Speaking of which....

Abby needs a new manager at Society because she's on Devon's Board of Directors? Again, HUH??? And she asks Tessa, who has NO business/restaurant experience -- to take over for her?

    Jesus.

Why would a hot, beautiful woman like Donna... be with a... 80/90 year old man, who fu-ked her mother and her sister...

This has been one of the worst pairings even and I feel sorry for JG that she has to play this [!@#$%^&*] and call him honey bear.

The only scenario I can see is that Donna is just an unofficial escort. Which is completely possible.

    He looks like her grandpa.

I am all for age difference, but after 40-50 years, it starts looking kinda disgusting.

Yep, especially since McCook is playing Eric as older and weaker than ever.

  11. I'm not enjoying DAYS at all.

I think it's low energy, dated, and boring, and there's not a single storyline I care to see played out. The villains are pathetic and ridiculous.

Things were bad with Ron's writIng, but this is no better. By the time he returns with his so-called exciting stories, the audience might be smaller than ever.

@ranger1rg Isn't fascinating that B&B is the only US soap in history that can't do soap staples: doctors, lawyers, trials or murder mysteries well?

In fact, most attempts have been outright failures. I get not being able to do one, but all of them?

The Belief ownership saga was actually the only time they knocked it out of the park on legal.

It's just all so lazy, and that's what I find most offensive. I'd respect BOLD more if they explained the medical stuff and got it wrong rather than getting this -- a complete lack of any attempt at all.

It means no research was done, and the audience is again taken for granted.

  13. So Eric gets a terminal illness. Has some kind of transplant/operation for who knows what. In recovery, although we don't know from what.

Dr. Finn goes to the Forresters  to tell Eric his "markers" look better than expected, and that it's all due to Eric's "determination." Even better, the entire medical community is impressed by Eric!

You cannot make this stuff up.

  14. Over the weekend, I left some negative comments on Antonio J Sabato's Instagram. So many people were falling all over him it was absurd, so I answered back.

In one post, I said I had no idea what his "truth" is...that he kept saying he'd tell us but never did.

Well, apparently Sabato is thin-skinned. He slid into my DMs. Not making that up.

All he said was "I’ll tell you the truth 💪 "

    I guess I'm in danger.

I am glad that Laura had Nikolas arrested. He should confess, plead guilty, and take the penalty while Laura and Kevin raise Ace.

-- OF COURSE Laura once again lays the hammer down on Nikolas, this time after we watched her give Esme one pass after another for MONTHS.

I'm sorry, but I think Laura is ridiculous and pathetic.

    -- And Martin dumped Lucy? I don't think there's anyone who cares. I know I don't.

  16. -- Like others here, I really enjoy Rena Sofer as Lois but hate the way she's currently written. The scenes with Olivia are painful to watch -- there's just way too much Brooklyn on the screen, and the audio make me reach for the Tylenol.

-- If Lois is still attached to the recording industry, I expect it to be as current as the writing for the Crimson story. The world knows that print magazines are DONE, and that even the surviving ones know they have to have digital success to survive. Does anyone at Crimson know that?
