  4. That is Nielsens one purpose! To accurately rate everything on TV. And to do that, they need an accurate record of the exact times everything aired.
  5. WOMEN LEADING SALEM... Tomorrow, Janet Spellman-Drucker begins her stint as just the fourth woman in 58 years to be an Executive Producer on "Days of Our Lives." Betty Corday, the widow of "Days of Our Lives" co-creator Ted Corday, took over as Executive Producer of the show when her husband passed away in July 1966. Betty helped keep her husband's name in the credits, always being billed as Mrs. Ted Corday, until her death in November 1987. Shelley Curtis was Supervising Executive Producer at "Days" from March 1989 to December 1989, during Al Rabin's brief departure from the show. She remained with "Days" as a Supervising Producer and director until 1991 She was most recently a director at "The Bold and the Beautiful" in 2020. Lisa De Cazotte was Co-Executive Producer at "Days" from January 2012 to July 2015. She had been the long-time Executive Producer of "Passions" and, after leaving "Days" was a Supervising Producer at "The Young and the Restless." She passed away in December 2019. Janet Spellman-Drucker joined "Days" in 1984 as a production associate and was named Co-Executive Producer on August 4, 2023.

  8. I don't include all that extra info, but EVERYTHING is all in the reports! One option is that the later time zones possibly aired local/syndicated programming in place of the soaps. 10. They were once the gold standard of the industry, since they started over 100 years ago, covering every aspect of show business. I remember in doing research of old issues, they would even have a lot of reports about Days actors joining the show in the 60s and 70s. Guest actors would even take out full or half-page ads to announce they were going to guest on Days. But, like most newspapers/magazines, the quality has gone quite down in recent years.
  11. I always thought that was the full list. I think Jeanne Ford lives in Maryland, so I always thought she would be WGAE, like the Cullitons. Yet Ford is listed on the fi-core list of the WGAW list. That's why my assumption has always been it's the full list of the entire WGA fi-core. Unless I am totally wrong, I just thought WGAE were for writers who lived in the eastern half of the US, and WGAW was for writers who lived in the western half of the US.
  12. VARIETY'S REPORT: Via: https://variety.com/2023/biz/news/albert-alarr-days-of-our-lives-janet-drucker-1235688476/ Albert Alarr Out at ‘Days of Our Lives’; Janet Drucker Elevated to Co-Executive Producer By William Earl Albert Alarr is out as executive producer of NBC’s long-running soap opera “Days of Our Lives” after a 20-year tenure as a director and producer for the show. His exit follows a misconduct investigation by “Days” producer Sony Pictures Television. Janet Drucker, a veteran producer who has been with “Days” since 1984, has taken on his duties for leading the production of the daytime serial.
  13. Do you think they will be stuck continuing paying him money per his contract? It's a fresh start to the new year (2024). The show just happens to also be wrapping up Ron's material as head writer, so around the same time as Janet takes over on Monday, they will also be starting the scab scripts, which should start airing just before or after Christmas Day.
  14. THANK YOU, "DAYS" FANS! Thank you to everyone who took a moment and made phone calls and emails this week. Thank you for showing your love and support for the cast & crew of "Days of Our Lives." Thank you to Corday Productions, NBC and Peacock for listening to the "Days" family and making a positive change. Monday begins a new chapter of "Days of Our Lives" and I look forward to what lies ahead for the show as we inch closer to its 60th anniversary! I figured they updated the list as quickly as possible, to make sure all WGA writers know who is going to scab. I assume the two "Days" writers who are already fi-core will still be writing during the strike, but the show won't list any names. I expect the script writers to start disappearing from the credits around mid-late November, and then the breakdown writers will start disappearing in early-mid December. And then Ron & Ryan's names will be removed around Christmas Day.
  15. WGA has listed any writers who went fi-core. She was not one of them. I wasn't suggesting she was out of a job. They couldn't fire her for his actions, and can't fire her during the WGA strike. I just meant that currently, they are down to 0 "Days" paychecks. So, for the 20 years of abuse he put the cast and crew through, it's a nice thought to end the week.
  16. And with his "Days" writer wife on strike, they now go from two paychecks to none.
  17. Thanks, it's been such a sad week posting about Days like this. So, I am so glad it is all over. It was such a pleasure typing up the Janet press release just now. I hadn't announced it, but if you hadn't noticed, I had stopped doing any publicity posts about Days since the cast petition was announced. I would have continued my suspension of any Days publicity (weekly guest stars, episode stats, casting news, etc...) until Alarr was fired.
  18. JANET SPELLMAN-DRUCKER NAMED CO-EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF "DAYS OF OUR LIVES"... Janet Spellman-Drucker, whose first job at "Days of Our Lives" in March 1984 was to answer the phone, is now the new Co-Executive Producer! Spellman-Drucker has steadily risen in the ranks at "Days" over the last 39 years. She first joined "Days" in March 1984 as a production associate. The next year, in 1985, she started splitting her roles, as both a Production Associate and Associate Director. She was promoted to an Assistant to the Producers in August 1988. Spellman-Drucker was named an Associate Producer in December 1989. She was promoted to Coordinating Producer in October 1993. She then became the show's Senior Coordinating Producer from November 1997 until August 2015, when she was named Producer. Spellman-Drucker was again promoted, this time to Senior Producer, in September 2020, the role she held until being named Co-Executive Producer tonight. She directed her first episode of "Days" on June 27, 2022, and has since directed a total of 15 episodes, her most recent directed-episode airing on July 24 Spellman-Drucker was born September 3, 1960. She becomes just the fourth woman in the history of "Days of Our Lives" to be an Executive Producer, joining Betty Corday (1966-1987), Shelley Curtis (1989) and Lisa De Cazotte (2012-2015). In a 2015 interview, she stated that "Days became such a wonderful place, it became my family...I've grown up here." Congratulations, Janet!
  19. IT IS NOW FRIDAY EVENING...THERE HAS BEEN NO WORD OF ALBERT ALARR'S TERMINATION...NOW THE QUESTION BECOMES: WILL ANY CAST SHOW UP TO WORK NEXT WEEK, OR WILL "DAYS" BE FORCED TO SHUT DOWN PRODUCTION FOR ANOTHER WEEK? Thank you to all the "Days" fans this week for making phone calls and taking time to email Corday Productions and Peacock executives. It is so nice that this show has such a wonderful group of fans who care about the cast & crew! Hopefully, your voices, as well as that of the cast petition, will be heard and we can get back to talking about the show we all love!
