I don't know anything about this guy, but I can plainly see, after being on this board since March, that he wants to bring the whole BTG crew down. I'm not sure if it's a personal vendetta, but it sure is petty. There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism about the show, especially if it's an opinion that many share, but he is just over the moon when he perceives failure. I don't understand the vitriol. He reminds me of the MAGA people that stalk CNN and late night show comment sections on YouTube just to start flame wars and say racist and homophobic things - simply to get a rise out of people. Sir, if you hate the show, please leave and let us enjoy something that brings us pleasure. I agree. The sets don't really bother me (outside of Naomi not having a living room or an office). Like I said, as a GL fan, I have seen SOOOOO much worse. But, I get other people's concerns over it. I think the story is great, and it is much more interesting than other shows, but there are areas that need a little tightening up or sometimes lack sense. All things considered, however, they are doing very well, and I thought it would be more like the other soaps in 2025 when it premiered (but it surprised me- it's better, though that is a low bar).

Exactly!!!!! I was just about to say the same thing. That is like blaming GL for being moved to 10am in NYC when the ratings were already falling, or putting brand-new show, Texas, opposite early 80s juggernaut GH, when it premiered, at the height of Luke and Laura. It sucks, but there is not much that the PTB could have done. It looks as though Michelle and Sheila are pissed, too.

I know we're in July now, but I just wanted to say that I completely agree with you. I thought I missed something - like 80s prom purses were trending on TikTok and you were disappointed that BTG wasn't featuring them. Damn, I need sleep. And, yes, that bag is embarrassingly dated. Jeresa is usually on top of trends, too.

That's true. I don't remember that, but I remember the story. I hope that with her own show, she is more focused on a particular end point. It seems like she started with a solid bible, so there's that. My fear is whether or not she will be willing to pivot on stories that she already planned that are failing or unpopular (looking at you, Ashley). So, she's kind of like the folks that were liaisons between P&G and CBS back in the day for ATWT and GL, before they eliminated that position? And, I'm also assuming NBC and ABC had similar liaisons between them and P&G for their P&G soaps in the 60s - 90s?

Yes, and weather in Georgia in July is not always pleasant. It can get quite muggy. I stayed in New Orleans and can attest. It's even muggy up here by NYC right now.

Tomas probably feels concerned about Kat's welfare and doesn't want to let her down after her giving herself to him. He feels that if it doesn't work out, she will regret what she has done. He's actually a good guy. He could have slept with Eva that day she came onto him, but he didn't, and you know he has blue balls by now with Kat. Also, he didn't know Kat was there and he still refused. He really seems to care about Kat and has a heart. Then again, his actions as Bill's spy say otherwise...however, I don't think he would intentionally hurt women on his own or without a carrot dangled in front of him (like a potential partnership). Or... Tomas DOES have feelings for Eva and is trying to spare Kat any extra heartache if they do not work out and he eventually ends up with her sister.

This whole storyline is giving me David Grant flashbacks, except he wasn't rich, he was middle class, so he ran in the same situation.

You mean the probable racist f*ck? But, honestly, do they have a choice since there is no tangible history to play on? They had to make artificial backstories or there would be no plot moving forward. And, tbf, even decades-running soaps create artificial backstories for long-established characters all the time (especially when it comes to children that they never knew they had, or back-from-the-dead plots).

I think this is what they are trying to do with Derek/Ashley/Andre/Dani. It's not working. I wish they gave us more time to root for Chadison. They needed a obstacle or two so we would have time to really relish their chemistry and cheer them on.

Who can Derek be paired with?

Team Derek for sure, but my straight friend is Team Ashley, saying, "No man will force me into marriage if I'm not ready." Well, what is she waiting for?

Honestly, I still enjoy everything about the show (except Ashley).

She might be using Anita like she planned to do before. If so, I suspect Tracy is not in on it. I'm not sure if this was revealed yet - I didn't watch 6/11 yet.
