😂😂 I loved the Brooke vs. Erica dynamic. There's a scene I saw a few months ago that had me howling. Erica is drunk/belligerent at the Woman of the Year Award and she yells at Brooke that she can't keep a man. Brooke could never come out on top in these triangles. Edmund, Tad, and Adam all chose someone else over her. I can't remember who Brooke ended up with. Maybe Adam. Julia Barr did a really good job of making you care about Brooke, who wasn't showy, naive heroine or sexy vixen. She was grounded and that drew me to her.

That part. I love to watch and binge the canceled soaps, but it's so glaring the lack of commitment to Black/POC stories and perspectives. I will never forgive Y&R for how they kneecapped Devon and Hilary, the second Black supercouple after Angie and Jesse. But anyway... I co-sign everything said about Becky/Liz and the lack of care to her character. The writers and powers that be have a seething and lingering resentment that they need to show any courtesy to her character. She's a legacy character and her kids are Spencer/Quartermaine. None of that registers because GH just doesn't care about Liz, not even for lip service. But I don't mind an actress collecting a check. It's why I just accept Maura West doing the same. I like Liz and Ava, but neither matters in the grand scheme of things. (I agreed with the criticisms about Ava/MW in the April discussion thread but didn't want to bump it since we're now in May).

I've been on a Loving/The City binge the past few weeks. Does anyone have an archive of episodes? YouTube is so fragmented. I know the CBS shows have one, but I haven't seen anything for Loving/The City. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

😂 Pour it up. But it is funny that Crystal seemed to have an issue on each soap. I liked Marj. She was really good with those over the top characters. I still liked Greenlee at this point. But "Alexandra" could've gutted her after the show became all about her.

I gave up on this show, but I saw a promo about Chanel's cancer, pregnancy, and getting caught in a fire. Can Chanel ever be the carefree girl she once was? The show had gold with her. I'm slightly intrigued about Kristen attacking Sophia. The last time I seriously watched, all Kristen could do was obsess over Brady. It would be an improvement if she finally acted like a Dimera again.

And let's not forget the trashcan sex with Dex! We could've had Cam and Trina at one point. But no, the show just had to sacrifice him for Joss and her smug self didn't even feel bad for cheating.

Hmmmm. I don't remember if they ever explained why Danny didn't recognize Reva. The show does a lot of heavy lifting to make this story work. Oh, Edmund is a villain. A very sexy villain. For me, Olivia is the one San Cristobel character that had genuine staying power on the show.

Steffy is so obnoxious. And yes, her hair is better lighter but it just looks a mess to me. I really wish Hope were allowed to throw crap back in her face. But I'll take her going to work for Katie. Hope owes the Forrester's and especially Ridge & Steffy nothing. Brooke's character has been ruined for years but when she sided with Ridge who called Hope all types of names and she was OK with that?! I was done. She's such a lapdog for that man. I laughed at the cliffhanger with Dylan screaming. It was so theatrical.

I totally see all of this. Maybe Kendall is on her fifth hospital stay. I don't know why the writers decided to make her so sickly near the end and break up her and Zach. My condolences on your dad's passing.

Blake deserved better. I don't want to spoil the 2000s for @alwaysAMC but I thought it was so odd how meek she was around Jonathan and Dinah. She became so toothless but I did like 1999 for her and Ben. After that, it felt like the writing went downhill. I love reading your write ups Always. How are you liking the San Cristobel invasion so far?

I'm a Joss hater. 😇 I think the character would come alive if a different actress took on the role, much like the miracle that happened to Michael when Rory Gibson came on. But if GH insists on making her Sydney Bristow, at least she's tripping up Nathan. But it is weird that Joss would tell Jack that Carly's cheating. She would never do that. It would make more sense if Jack used his spy senses to pick up on what's going on. Valentin and Carly are cute together. The show got me! This is the most I've enjoyed Carly in a very long time. The writing for her is much better and she doesn't eat up the show anymore.

I'll pass on Justine and Jordan's monotone bonding. I'm no longer that upset about this episode being preempted.

Brad Bill likes to rewrite his own history but making Steffy a saint ranks up there. Steffy and $Bill had some good chemistry but all that's been forgotten. Katie acts as though Brooke is the only one who took her man. And yes, the wigs on this show are terrible.

Thanks for the backstory @dc11786 on Trisha/Jeff/Janey. And the video. I've liked rediscovering the show in the past few weeks. No story on Loving gripped me as much as the murders, but there were some gems. It feels like it could just never find its groove.

It's been heaven to get a break from Steffy and all her sanctimonious screeching. I can't believe she used to be my favorite character.

I also think she followed Brandon and his new wife to Tennessee. I had wanted to believe they were all being mature adults and co-parenting. But obviously, there was more to the situation. Hopefully, the courts can intervene and force her into treatment.

I think you're 100% spot on. The show is possibly keeping her on as a lifeline and health insurance. I'd hate for her to spiral further and go the way of Tyler.

+1 Joss has negative chemistry. But she gets guy after guy while the others in the younger set have to settle for scraps of a story. As for KS, I've felt something has been off about her for a while. She was going on and on about some hack on her IG a few months ago and how she needed the FBI. It was so weird, but if what he's alleging is true, it would explain her behavior, and worse than I thought. I hope she gets the help she needs for herself and her daughter. Write Maxie and KS off the show and let her seek treatment.

Ivy "It's not propah. It's not propah at all" Forrester became the most entertaining character out of nowhere. Can't wait for her and that plant to come back. I was rooting for Katie to talk her crap to Brooke. But I'm also tired of the constant weeping for Brooke's approval. It's also annoying that Bill gets a free pass for his part in hurting her. I've never been a huge Hope and Liam fan. But these two serve no purpose on the show anymore except for Steffy to huff and puff.

And Portia's perfect bundles after being banged up in a car wreck. That made me roll my eyes and laugh. Other than that? I've got nothing. I know I should feel bad for Jordan. But I would first have to care about her. The actress is very monotone and doesn't give much. Portia being pregnant is another story I don't care that much about either. It's still a head scratcher that Isaiah is just fine with her being knocked up by the ex she's clearly still hung up on.

I saw a cute throwback scene between Cooper and Janey (where Gwen seems to think he's abusing her lol). She was a breath of fresh air and it was nice to see a young, Black female character. I know she never reached the importance of Steffi and Ally but she had potential. The writers shouldn't have killed her off. Janey could've gone to The City instead of Steffi who ended up leaving anyway.

Rick putting Michelle in the mental institution seemed to be when GL realized that OG Danny and Michelle had star crossed lovers potential. It feels very early on when the writers switch from Michelle and Jesse to Manny. It felt like one thing after another. But I went along with it since the chemistry is good. I love the character of Billy, almost more than Josh. I'm surprised he never got the leading man treatment. At least during the eras I watched.
