  1. I actually won't be surprised if that's the case. Whatever was interesting and compelling about Ted is pretty much gone now. And I'm now at the point where I don't even want Ted and Nicole back together anymore, especially since they don't really have the same chemistry they used to before the recast. I would wait until Ted and Eva's father/daughter relationship is developed enough to have enough impact for Ted's death as well as the potential reveal that Eva is actually Nicole's daughter and not Leslie's. On the other hand, Ted potentially dying could really shake things up and I definitely think we're long overdue for an on-screen major character death.
  2. So I have some thoughts... Honestly, I hate that the writers had Vanessa interrupt Joey when he was right about to dispose of Randy. They should've had Joey kill Randy and then have his body turn up somewhere and Vanessa and Doug can be suspicious about what really happened to Randy but not have any solid proof. That would have established Joey as a major threat and given some real teeth and also establish the danger that Vanessa's getting sucked into. I would have had Martin tell Smitty the truth before he had the press conference because that's more or less what ended up happening anyway. Having Martin hold a press conference only for him to cancel it at the last minute just made him look dumb and incompetent and that annoyed me to no end. I would rather not have him had that press conference if that's what going to happen anyway. I also agree that having the threesome storyline occur largely off-screen was a bad call especially now that Allison is getting involved but I'm actually liking the Chelsea/Madison romance, even if it's a bit rushed. It's a hell lot better than that whole Chanel/Allie/Johnny saga on Days Of Our Lives, that's for sure. And I wanted to like Chanel/Allie as a couple especially since they were the first lesbian couple on the show in years. But I digress... Anyway.... And one more thing... I think it's time for Nicole and Ted to get divorced. Having them be in this limbo for weeks on end is getting ridiculous. If Ted is barely trying and Nicole doesn't want to be with him anymore, then she needs to file for divorce and move on. And Ted needs to let her go. Same for Martin and Smitty. They need to break up for a while and move on in new pairings. If some years later down the road they want to get back together, it's fine. It's not like there isn't a precedent for it in soaps, since plenty of soap couples have broken up and gotten back together many times before for eons.
  3. I really wish that Patrick Mulcahey was allowed to get rid of Sasha like he wanted to. We would all be better off. Sasha wouldn't have a baby that she really doesn't need, especially with Michael, and she wouldn't have turned out to be Robert and Holly's kid. What an absolute waste of a character. Sasha was interesting in the very beginning but I pretty much lost interest in her after a while, especially after they made her Robert and Holly's kid. That's what really ruined her for me... that stupid retcon. Honestly, if Tristan wasn't so sick, I would undo that retcon and just keep Sasha as Holly's kid and have Sasha not turn out to be Robert's daughter after all and Holly made up the whole thing. This feels so pointless to me. We wasted 7 years on this nothingburger character for what? Good riddance I say!
  4. True but Martin is a Black man and historically to my knowledge Black people have been treated a lot more harshly by the law in comparison to white people so I can definitely see why Vernon and Bill would be very concerned. But yeah I think the coverup seems to be a lot worse than whatever happened to Martin that night. I still don't think his political career is going to be left unscathed; I actually won't be surprised if Martin ends up resigning at some point in disgrace and shame. Not to mention his marriage is toast with Smitty already planning on leaving him.
  5. I really hope Martin's secret is revealed tomorrow and if it is, that it's actually good. Because otherwise a lot of people are going to be extremely annoyed and maybe even tune out. Although I wish Martin would've just told Smitty the truth beforehand, if he's really going to go through with the press conference, then he needs to finish what he started. On the other hand though, if Martin ends up losing his Congressman seat and his political career is in tatters, what else is he going to do for an alternative career? I hope the writers have a plan for that even if he somehow manages to avoid jail time.
  6. Right. Still, I wish Corday would've asked her back one more time. He's still an idiot.
  7. I agree. Killing Renee in hindsight was pretty short-sighted. I mean, I'm not hating that Philece got a nice voiceover career out of her leaving Days, but I really wish that she was able to come back at least one more time before she passed. I would've paid big money to see her face off against Megan. Stupid Ken Corday.
  8. I agree with all of this. I especially agree with bringing on a younger brother for Maggie and having him have all of Mike's stories. What name would be good for him though?
  9. Wouldn't that be something if Ashley became this show's version of Kristen DiMera? On the other hand, I can't really see Andre being with Ashley long term if she turns dark.
  10. Yeah, I get that a lot, especially from my friends and family.
  11. I really hope they come up with an original name for the kid, especially since it's a boy.
  12. So any bets on whether this baby is going to be born either tomorrow or Monday?
  13. Oh my Lord... the minute that I saw that shirt, I thought... this is literally the same kind of shirt that I used to wear in elementary school. It looked kind of weird to me.
  14. Is Sophia having that baby already? Seriously, John hasn't even been in the ground for two weeks! And on Graduation Day no less... Can't wait to meet that little rugrat! I wonder if it's going to be a boy or a girl. Whatever gender it turns out to be, I hope Days picks a good name for the kid and not a garbage name like the one that GH chose for Michael and Sasha's kid last week.
  15. That's definitely a solid theory. It's one thing if Martin got into an argument with someone, lost his temper and ended up beating someone to death. I can definitely see how this could affect his career in politics. But if someone was assaulting him and he had to defend himself, yeah then I don't really see how he could be seen as a hypocrite especially since that would clearly be a case of self-defense. As much as I would like to think that the general public would sympathize with Martin, considering the current political climate of this country... On the other hand, Martin could use some growing up and maturing to do and maybe someday down the road he might achieve his dream of being President.
  16. I'm starting to think that maybe Martin does not actually remember what happened that night, at least not consciously. Considering how he got an immediate flashback right after that Zack guy mentioned how that storefront owner got beat up badly, I can't help but wonder if something really bad happened to Martin that night and he's blocked it out due to extreme trauma. How much of that is actually Martin's fault though? It has to be pretty scandalous for both Anita and Vernon to be terrified that it could actually hurt his political career. I also second that motion on everybody liking Carlton! I've always liked him on the Dynasty reboot years ago and I loved his chemistry with Elizabeth Gillies's Fallon. I shipped Michael and Fallon so hard back then and I was super pissed when the show pivoted Fallon to their pet character Liam, who they tried so hard to make happen. I also really like Chelsea and Madison and I hope they last for a while. And honestly, I really don't like Ted and Nicole so much anymore now that they don't have nearly as much chemistry as they did before with the previous actor and I actually think that Nicole would be better off divorcing Ted and moving on with Carlton. That would be awesome!
  17. I don't think that's entirely her fault; the entertainment industry hasn't exactly been too stable lately, especially with the fires we just had earlier this year and not to mention the writer's strike a year or two ago. On the other hand, I'm not sure how to feel about this. This show went through all this trouble to basically kill off Britt permanently and give her an actual send-off and barely two years later, she's back anyway? I'm actually hoping it's a different character because if she's back as Britt, she's going to die from Huntington's disease regardless, (unless that somehow gets retconned), and I just don't see the point.
  18. I definitely think it's time to write off Nina for good. I think her killing Drew might actually be a good idea. She could completely lose it after losing both Sasha and Willow and she ends up murdering Drew and eventually she gets caught and sent away to prison for a long time.
  19. Sounds about right. I hope they use a nickname for her as to not confuse everybody.
  20. Wow, they really wasted Lucky in this latest return. How could they botch it up like that? And I really hate what they've done with Nina. So she's going to betray the one person who's done nothing but be kind and loving to her after having moved past the fact that she pretended to be her long lost daughter for someone who isn't even worth it at this point? There is really no coming back for Nina, is there? I honestly won't be surprised if both Sasha and Willow end up disowning Nina and cutting her out of their lives for good. And Nina is going to be even more of a pariah and social outcast than she already is. Honestly, if the writers are going to make the entire town hate Nina, they might as well make her a full blown villain at this point and have her actually own it. Maybe losing Willow and the kids forever might finally prompt Nina to embrace her dark side and go full steam ahead with her villain era. At least make her the kind of villain people can get behind and enjoy, not... whatever this is. On the other hand, Willow delivering Sasha's kid in court is actually an interesting twist. Wonder what Sasha is going to name her daughter now?
  21. If Barbara overdosed on pills then I definitely think it could possibly be construed as an accident. Otherwise then I don't really see it. It could also be likely that Barbara was just simply forgotten about and faded into obscurity because she was left behind and it was the other Articulettes that became famous. Also what I meant by earth-shattering was that Ted and Nicole's marriage is on the rocks and Martin, Kat and Nicole still haven't really fully forgiven Ted for what happened. Then again, maybe I'm just being a bit hyperbolic. I mean, Nicole still hasn't even decided whether or not she wants to file for divorce and actually I'm kind of surprised that subject has not been broached upon yet.
  22. Holy hell, this episode... I had a lot of theories about what Anita's secret entailed, but I didn't think it involved this. What happened to Barbara was extremely tragic. Is that why Sharon is so angry with Anita? Because she basically holds her responsible for Barbara taking her own life? Wait, does Sharon even know? She has to know, right? I can't even imagine the kind of ramifications this is going to have on the entire town, let alone Anita's family. What are they going to think of her when they find out what really happened between Anita and the other Articulettes? What is Vernon going to think? I doubt he's going to be too happy about what Anita did? I wonder if Anita is going to feel so filled with guilt and shame over what she did that she might even attempt to take her own life. People think that Ted cheating on Nicole and having an illegitimate child was earth-shattering? I think this is going to be even more so, or maybe on the same level as Martin's secret, (but we won't even know for sure until it's eventually revealed, whenever that is).
  23. How much longer are Sharon and Tracy actually going to be around? I really hope we find out what Anita's secret is especially if they're going to be gone soon. I'm going to be really annoyed if we wait months on end to find out what it is. We still don't know what Martin's secret is even though it's been nearly 6 months. I can't help but think that maybe Anita might've had a hand in sabotaging or even destroying some people's reputations and careers, as Sharon had alluded to. Whatever her secret is, I don't think it's necessary murder, but it has to be really bad enough that Anita's terrified of it coming out and ruining her life. Maybe she got involved in some serious scandal that could've ruined her career but she somehow managed to keep it under wraps. Also, are we ever going to get back to the corrupt partner storyline with Jacob or has that been officially dropped? I totally forgot about that until now. I won't be surprised if TPTB decided to drop it at some point.
  24. Mona actually mentioned meeting Leslie at church, so I think a church set might actually be useful. They could even introduce a recurring character as the main minister/reverend.
  25. Someone mentioned a while back that Katelyn MacMullen should be chosen as a recast for Ashley and I think that's a great idea. I'm still hoping that BTG poaches her from General Hospital and have her play Ashley. Also the writing for Ashley could use some improvement because right now Ashley is coming across as extremely emotionally unstable and neurotic. I can't help but wonder if that's supposed to be intentional.
