  1. We don't need to fully get rid of democracy. We could possibly have a socialist democracy type of government similar to that of Canada and to a lesser extent England, (except for the whole monarch thing). The Constitution needs a massive upgrade too with amendments codifying abortion, gay and POC in a way that the Supreme Court can't undo it easily regardless of who's in power. It's time to take our power back from the oligarch billionaires, and judging from what happened in New York, I think people are finally fed up and want real change. The question is whether everyone else is going to follow through. People deserve healthcare and a livable wage in order to make a decent living and support their families. But all of that isn't going to happen unless this country goes through some real suffering and pain, unless the people decide to take charge and get rid of the despotic regime, which I'm still not sure that's even going to happen at this rate.
  2. Well, maybe you're right, but the system we have in place now clearly isn't working and we need someplace better. And I feel like the only way we're ever going to get that at this point is if the country completely falls apart and millions of people end up dying from a combination of starvation, disease and warfare. This country will never learn.
  3. At this point it's time for the progressives to take charge. I never thought I'd ever say this, especially considering that I have grown in a family that has taught me that socialism is evil, wrong and bad and is the root of everything that's wrong with society, but honestly the events of the last 10+ months have made me change my mind. This country has completely gone downhill. People are struggling to keep food on the table. People my age are juggling multiple jobs and still can't own an affordable home. Worse yet they work long hours for abysmal pay and that hasn't changed in years. If that doesn't prove how dire things are, then I don't know what does. It's pretty obvious at this point that capitalism isn't working and hasn't been working for a very long time. We need a long term viable solution in order to get our country back into working shape. And if socialism is the solution that we need to rely on, then so be it. I don't know if it's truly going to work in this country but at this point I'll try anything , because otherwise the alternative is spending the rest of our lives living in an authoritarian fascist police state. And I definitely don't want that.
  4. And the Kat stans are going to get even more irate if that happens.
  5. I certainly didn't think the government was going to be shut down forever, at least I hope not, unless that was the Republican Party's plan to completely destroy the economy by keeping the government shut down indefinitely. But unfortunately, I don't really see people blaming the Republicans, only the Democrats. Either way, the party needs to undergo some major changes.
  6. Somebody please get rid of him once and for all. He's despicable.
  7. I won't be surprised if that happens. I would hate for Jeremy to be thrown under the bus for Stephanie/Alex but that's pretty much what's going to happen. Why else would they go through the trouble of bringing back a character that hasn't been on screen in nearly 20 years just to turn him into an irredeemable psycho that has to eventually be killed off just like Nick before him? Even worse yet this is Mike's only child. Maybe if Mike had another kid that was a good egg, this wouldn't bother me so much. This is why a part of me is hoping if Liam sticks around long term maybe eventually it'll turn out that he's Mike's long lost kid.
  8. Yeah, this is horrible, but the Democrats are definitely in a no win situation. It was either lose healthcare for millions of Americans or just let people go hungry. And there was no guarantee that the Republicans were ever going to budge on extending the ACA subsidies anyway. But yeah this definitely made the Democrats look weak and now they may have possibly screwed up their chances on winning the midterms. Not that I ever thought the Democrats had a chance in hell on winning the midterms anyway.
  9. Martin had every right to be pissed at Kat. Yeah, she didn't mean for Samantha to overhear, but she should've been more careful. And honestly, if Samantha wants to act like a spoiled brat and ruin her own life by running in the streets, let her. She's going to find out the hard way how tough it is out in the real world. Martin and Smitty gave her a great life and now she wants to throw it away all because of a stupid boy.
  10. I don't know... would people even want Kat/Eva to be switched at birth at this point? I would just leave that alone. Honestly, it probably would be better for Leslie to have her downfall via the whole Laura thing and maybe on the heels of that, it turns out that Eva isn't really Ted's kid after all and she realizes that her mother's been lying to her all along and maybe that might finally be the thing that motivates her to cut ties with Leslie for good. I also just saw the clip on Twitter earlier today when Ted confronts Eva about her lies post anniversary reveal party and a lot of people say that Ted should've kept up that attitude with her. And now I'm thinking... maybe it would be better if Ted actually rejected Eva out right and refused to accept her as his child and kept her at arm's length while trying to reconcile with Nicole/Martin/Kat, spurring Eva to fight to win his love and acceptance and this escalates the rivalry between her and Kat even more. And Eva decided to cut ties with Leslie and try to strike it out on her own without help from either of her parents, and as the months pass and Ted struggles to win back his wife and family and Nicole also struggles to forgive Ted, Ted actually starts to feel a pull and connection towards Eva despite of himself. Honestly, this would've made for a much better story that what we're getting now. And maybe a lot more people wouldn't be so annoyed and demanding for Leslie and Eva to be booted off the show. Honestly, the only way to salvage Eva at this point is to de-Richardson her and have her stand on her own without Ted and Leslie to help her. Leslie also needs to go down for what she did to Laura and go to prison for at least a little while so that this show can focus on other villains in the meantime.
  11. 20 bucks says that in about 6-12 months or so J.D. is going to dump his current wife and leave her for Erika so that he can increase his chances to be a potential viable candidate for president.
  12. So if Eva is not Ted's kid, then whose kid is she then? Alan's? I wonder how long is it going to take for that to come out.
  13. Okay I definitely did not know that she was also Gloria Loring's PA until recently. That actually got me thinking. She did write a book many, many years ago where she did mention her relationship with Brenda Benet. Somebody actually told me that she claims that Brenda supposedly coerced her into a relationship. I don't know if that's actually true, and I would be loathe to believe anything Tammy Bruce says, especially since she's basically a die hard Republican at this point. I know that Tammy and Brenda broke up a couple of weeks before Brenda committed suicide. The strange thing is though that I actually went through my Macbook the other day and I found an article that I've saved where Lou Ferrigno claims that Brenda and Bill Bixby were actually trying to reconcile right before she died, so I have no idea what the hell is even going on. And I highly doubt that Tammy watches Days much these days anyway; she probably thinks it's too "woke" or something.
  14. Hey, guys! I finally got around to buy Bill & Susan Hayes's autobiography from Amazon, and it was cheap as hell. I haven't had the chance to read it yet because this next upcoming week is going to be very, very busy since it's not only my daddy's birthday but it's also my brother-in-law's birthday and also my niece is getting married next weekend too. Who knows... I might end up posting about any interesting tidbits I find in that book. One of the main reasons why I bought the book is because I'm planning to do a video on Brenda Benet soon and I wanted to do some research first.
  15. Oh, so they really are going full steam ahead with Ted/Leslie then? Okay then... well hopefully these writers have absolutely no plans to put Ted with Nicole ever again and Nicole needs to find a guy who will actually appreciate her. I still think Eva might be salvageable but Leslie... Maybe if the writers would find some kind of satisfying resolution to the whole Laura thing, maybe a lot of people wouldn't be so pissed off at Leslie/Eva to begin with.
  16. Yeah, I just found out about Suzanne Rogers having cancer this morning. Wow, this show keeps on having the absolute worst luck man. Hopefully she's feeling better.
  17. Are you sure Jeremy is actually reformed? It doesn't seem like it to me. He appears to still be having some serious anger issues. I'm worried that he's going to turn out to be another Nick and they're going to kill him off in about six months when he gets into a deadly altercation with Stephanie and then it winds up with another murder mystery. Even worse since this is Mike's only child. I mean, unless it's going to turn out that Liam is actually Mike's kid after all...
  18. So my niece is supposed to be getting married in about a week and I can't even look forward to it because I have to worry about the possibility of Trump nuking us all especially since now he's resuming nuclear tests for some reason.
  19. This Ronnie story has got to be one of the worst stories I've ever seen from this show. So Ronnie decided to collude with Martin in this fake will scheme all because Tracy was nasty to her? Really? Wow... I hope when this dumb story is over that Ronnie is completely driven out of town and we never see nor hear from her ever again. And I also won't blame Tracy if she ends up kicking out and disowning every single person that has sided with Ronnie in this debacle.
  20. Ooh, so I guess that's officially confirmed then? I wonder if he's going to be Ivy's kid or Speed's kid. Either way this should be interesting.
  21. At this point I would be totally fine with retconning Willow to not be Nina's daughter after all, especially since they will never have an actual relationship as mother and daughter anyway. Just leave Nelle as Nina's only child.
  22. So regarding Naomi and Jacob... if the writers are fully intending on breaking them up at some point, then they need to find a woman for Jacob that's willing to have his kids. But if they want them to remain together somehow, then at some point they need to bring on an ex-girlfriend from Jacob's past with a kid in tow that Jacob has no idea even existed. That way Jacob gets to be the father he wants and Naomi doesn't have to have a kid if she doesn't want to.
  23. I'm really liking Eva and Izaiah so far. They have far better chemistry than her and Tomas. Kat can have Tomas for all I care if she wants him so bad. I know that many Kat stans really want Izaiah for her but I think he may be better suited for Eva. On the other hand, I hope eventually Kat gets away from Tomas and ends up with someone better. Maybe they will pair her up with Donnell, (isn't Donnell more or less in the same age range as Kat and Eva?)
  24. So I was just reading up on Janice Barnes's wiki page last night and I was pondering on her death at the hands of the Riverfront Knifer. Was she really brought back as a young adult just to be killed off later, because it seems like she probably would've eventually left town anyway if she hadn't died when she did. I do wonder if she hadn't been murdered that maybe she might have come back in a few short years anyway with a baby in tow and we would've been left wondering if it was Bill or Mike's or maybe someone else's. I don't know... it just seems like a total waste to me. The fact that she was Maggie's former foster kid and she wasn't actually related to anybody in town means that she could've had a lot of potential story potential and she could've been paired up with pretty much anybody. I also would've loved to see what her dynamic would've been with Melissa and/or Sarah over the years.
