I don’t get it—how can they create, direct, and produce the show but not own the rights to it? That just doesn’t make sense. If CBS is streaming classic The Bold and the Beautiful, then wouldn’t it make sense for ABC/DISNEY to do the same with All My Children, One Life to Live, General Hospital, Port Charles, Ryan’s Hope, and Loving plus with the option to upscale them to HD/4K? The legal side of things is baffling. This is a market with serious value—there’s money to be made here! Yet instead of capitalizing on these beloved classics, they’re just letting them sit untouched in some warehouse. Why let these iconic shows collect dust when there’s a huge audience eager to watch them again?
