I'm not a big GH or Maura West fan (I find Carjack second only to Jeva as annoying air hogs of back and forth and who gives a damn anymore) but I saw an episode and I think she is supposed to be a mob boss and she is on a dock and I think, kicks a corpse into the water..anyway West is really good as this tough hard woman, which is what Carmen should have been..a tough woman trying to survive in a violent man's world, who becomes a monster herself, would have been much better then...,what we got. The closest was when McTavish has Nola discover Van is dying, and she helps her cover it up. But then Rauch sidelined her from the 'discover Van is alive" story with again one more flirting with Dinah and Matt working together and maybe more. Jay Hammer Insisted on a three month pay or play contract and they wanted recurring. He was going to help Holly rehab in a longer story, but you can see them getting ready for the Island of Cheese so they ended it early, so smart move on Hammer's part. Company was a house that they were moving which crashed into the BH...so the owner gave it to the Reardon's and Tony turned it into a bar...cause, why not? I do like that the set did look like a converted house for quite some time, and I actually liked how it looked during Wheeler's time/Peapack.

I always loved JL's Chelle, Carmen would threaten to kill her and Chelle would stamp her feet and pout and it just showed how cartoony Carmen was..Chelle wasnt afraid of her. I always thought at this time how this silly mob would get away from killing the daughter of a prominent family in town...especially when everyone has her her threaten her. I always wanted Chelle to say, "Your threatening my family? Bitch I know Vanessa Chamberlin and Alexandra Spaulding, who would turn you inside out..oh and my uncle is on the crime commission, so ..see ya Cruella!" Frank was a bust as a romantic lead...anything other then the nice big brother, son, friend and he failed. But that's not so bad, shows need characters like that.

And around this time Reva took prominence as Van's main pain in the ass away from Nola (cause of course..it's REVA dammit!!!) I wish they had thrown Nola into this scene, first to tell Reva to go to hell (the only time Van and Nola weren't digging into each other is if someone else started on either) and for her team up with Reva on putting this woman away (didnt Reva start a rumor in this episode that the woman had herpes, politically incorrect now but funny at the time) And yes, this was when Reva was fun, and not the sanctimonious soccer mom of the 90s. I kind of can understand Kimmers complaints that they were turning Reva into Bert Bauer..."I even told Cassie..tsk, tsk the other day!"

Which is so stupid..they kept her and let a Hughes go? He and Molly were sexy together, and while he was a good natured guy, it was nice to have a Hughes was wants totally straight and narrow. I read that, he talked about it but said that they were both being supportive and helpful. He did have a big New York accent thing going on..reminded me of that annoying kid who played Ben on GL. Ugh, I just looked him up and he died by suicide..how sad.

Nah, you guys don't get Kimmer...the point was...Jarsh wanted to lay pipe on the middle aged sex goddess that Reva was. Now IF Jarsh couldnt get it up for Reva as he saw Dolly all the time..Kim would have walked like a lumber jack up to Rauchie's office...as he would say, "Kim's PISSED" I actually was always more interested in the family dynamics then the endless love stories and "always" but I know that I what most people tune in for. I wish BTG had been set more in an urban neighborhood with a mix of classes, races etc, with the main family being the same as it is on the show now. The previews always make it look typical soap crossed with a Real Housewives, feel. And okay, if the show had gone with an urban community feel, then it would have been perfect for Kimmer to return to daytime as the hard ass owner of the blue collar bar, who maybe jumped in the fountain years earlier with the patriarch of the show...a smack down between Reva Shayne and Jessica Griffin would be must see!

I really like Kover's pretty boy Chris Hughes, his acting wasnt the greatest but he really seemed like a Hughes, and came off as this really sweet mama's boy..(Kover had great chemistry with all of the formidable ladies in the Hughes family, Nancy, Kim and Lisa) Why they stuck him in that storyline with that plain Jane daughter ofHolden's??

Are you kidding me...didnt we get to see Beth Chambelin in all kinds of skimpy outfits? (and luckily BC killed it with her bod...) That was all Rauch...but I do recall a weird scene after Dolly died where Reva picked up her wig and put it on..there was "soap crazy" music playing but then nothing. By the end of the Clone story I just wanted someone to give Kimmer he "most demanding role" and make Reva mute for a cycle. I would love to see KZ mugging her way through that but she would find a way.

Wow... Frank at his nice big brother best (he never worked as a Chief of Police) and Harley not being a shrill shrew. I like that Hawk is not acting like the sitcom character he was during the Ryder era, and he is running the BH too? "Just thinking about the fake Bauers. Maybe if they cast Mary Stuart as Johnny and Lanie's grandmother it would be easier to accept the Bauer expansion pack-- given the goodwill MS had with longtime soap viewers (or soap geeks) as Jo on SFT." I know that Long was considering her for a "Hannah Bauer" role...maybe that was going to be Johnny's grandmother?

There was a rumor that they were going to bring Parker on but dumb as hell way, a rough woman, having gotten her heart she has plastic surgery to look like Mo..(EB switched that to Jessie) I still think that Selena should have been the lost Reardon sister, played by Parker (hey we had a clone) a rough woman who was in jail and meets up wtih Abby. I think Parker woudl have loved playing that.

Yea, I think Mo "owned" but the writers didnt give it much thought. Hawk talked Kurt into a job and then managed it, (there is a scene at Company where Mo is bemoaning the BH loosing money as Bea insists on making big breakfasts for the boarders, but at least Company is making money)and then with Johnny's parents. And yes Ed, give Bridget Company after the custody battle to show that he trusts her. Later Buzz bought it with a lottery money win, and was going to rename it "Talulla's"after Jenna, but luckily didnt. You woudl think they woudl have given Mo more to do by running Company instead of sitting around and waiting for Ed to to be sour.

Yes...it so nice to see people talking to each other and not the stylized dramatic convos of the Rauch era. Mindy and Beth in "normal" clothes to have coffee with your friend. Only Van could agree with you, while belittling you "Yes, I am sure that is right" Dylans a piece of ass and has great chemistry with Little Bill..though I can't believe this mellow guy is Billy and Revas kid. Who the hell owns runs Company at this point, I seems like people just walk behind the bar and starts serving.

There were multiple times he said things like that to Carmen. I think it was Ben's way of letting her know she doesn't intimidate him, and I think it was Block's winking at the audience about what a cartoon she was. SS always rolled with it, which is why I wish she had better material.

Rauch should have kissed MH's ass to get him back on GL when he first took over. It was not going to happen but imagine RealEd/Holly dealing with Roger's ALS? Flashbacks, etc....(Fletch can go take a hike...) Should have been end game Patriarch/Matriarch. Agree on Quala...Quint should have died and left Nola to put her life back together. Henry and Bea..I am amazed to find out Lee Lawson was in her 40s at this time...and really, we all knew Henry was gay. I thought DAM was sex on a stick..but his cartoonish writing killed it. If Cassie and Eddie had a sick relationship and it was show as dysfunctional...hell yes. LW always had a hard trashy edge to her...and there is no way that Cassie's past and he rpoor choices were all someone else's fault...she had to have some kind of thing that would openr her to a dysfunctional relatisonhip.

Didnt Rauch want the actor from OLTL, but they were not paying ABC salaries so he said no...so Brown was cast and they had to rush on it. Too bad..as I said, I would have been cheering Blake on to "jump the hell on that!"

Hold on here...I had a crush on PB since he was the big brother on the Doris Day show...I had no idea at 4 years old WHY I wanted him to be my big brother, but apparently I had good taste cause look what he grew into! Wasnt he supposed to be Ben on GL? Now THAT I could see Blake dropping Ross for!

Ha...glad to see someone else who loves Post Resurrection Reva as much as I do! It's "Murder on the Orient Express" as EVERYONE did. "Murder in Company's Parking Lot" where you see a car running Reva down, and then everyone gets behind the wheel to do a run over of Reva! I would have just had Zombie Cleva do it..that was the inevitable end of GL/Reva's dumb storylines..and very apropos that Reva its herself just like she did the show.

Why TPTB did not tell Zimmer to stay in her lane and get ready to have a bit less airtime is anyone's guess. Kimmer had her dollies on the string like her crazy fan base who would write in any time Kimmer told them to and she also had friends in the soap press, which may have been because Zimmer gave them the poop on the other actors behind their backs. But it still is weird, she was well past the point that everyman in town would fall in love with her, and her storylines are always about situations and not about Reva. This would have been the perfect time to give Reva the menopause or cancer storyline to bring Reva down totearth, and I think Kimmer would be great at it and happy to act a storyline ABOUT Reva and not a silly situation.

I didnt think DH was so bad..it was just...an odd choice to play Roger's son. He came off very smarmy...I swear, he had a scene where he and Jarsh were talking about teaming up to take on Spaulding, and he was visibly flirting with him (that is all we needed, a rejected male lover of Josh going crazy when he want back to Reva...) I thought that having some characters floating around made it seem like a real town, but they could easily been recurring...Rick, Frank, Buzz, that D.A. none of them needed contracts but they made the town seem bigger having characters like that around once in a while.
