And everyone knows that is so but it doesn't mean we stop reading books or watching interviews!

But you don't have to run here and post something as fact. Bill Hayes being the first to sing on soaps?  lol The research expert who is constantly wrong. lol

  2. Spamming the board doesn't help Beverlee McKinsey get an Emmy. That's not how NATAS works. They don't give awards out because someone should have received one 30 years ago. This is a futile agenda. Beverlee McKinsey deserved to win over 30 years ago but she didn't. End of story.

With the amount of scripts written on an ongoing basis, it makes sense for writers to not remember everything.

Kim Zimmer said in one interview that fans would tell her their favorite scenes and she's like 'Thank you..but I don't remember doing that scene'.

So I never dog on someone that worked in the soaps for not remembering every story or scene written or acted.

I agree. But the specific story that I was referring to was Pam Long denying in an interview that she wrote Reva's postpartum depression story and the end of Reva at that time. How can you be a headwriter of GL and forget Reva driving off the bridge and say "I'm coming Bud"!! That was unforgettable. And as I said earlier, Pam later backtracked and remembered it. But my main point overall is that just because someone says something in an interview or because something is in a book, doesn't make it true.

Again, vague and hinting. If you don't say something, don't hint about it. What do you want to achieve? To sound mysterious and like you are in some high circles, but can't share with us poor people? Good for you.

Nice that you drink the cool aid of someone who wants to sound important. Please inform her that I am not a he. smh
To keep this GL related, because the board spammer constantly goes off topic, even Pam Long has memory lapses and says incorrect things. As GL was going off the air, she said that she did not write Reva’s postpartum depression storyline. She sure as heck did and later backtracked on her statements. Even headwriters have memory lapses. Ya can’t believe everything they say. Our own Harding Lemay, former GL writer, had his memory lapses too.

Well at least Donna bases her opinions on something and has research and experience to support them with. All you do is post vague things and baseless statements. Didn't you know something about Krista Allen, that you can't share...Hahaha. I don't think you KNOW anything. And Donna's KNOWledge of things is triggering your sweet brain. Maybe you can learn something from her. But keep it up, you are starting to get hilarious. ezgif-2-3352d82767.thumb.gif.af89be6895b

I don’t have the need to sound important and say that so and so is my friend. I talk with Scott McKinsey everyday. I don’t need to broadcast it on here like some people do. Scott is my friend. He tells abit of a different story.

Why are you people so quick to dismiss the things that Donna is contributing with here? That's just information she is sharing, she is not forcing you to believe any of this, just sharing info. If I was you, I would just say thank you to a person that has done nothing wrong. It's clear that this is a personal attack towards a person that is one of the most essential ones with information and quality analysis in this forum. I personally believe what she is saying, because she has the receipts to prove most of the statements. So yeah... what is the problem IF Beverly wanted to come back and couldn't. You people act like Donna is saying something so wrong or so offensive. In the words of Chris Crocker from his infamous Britney video - Leave Donna Alone.

lol. Donna has been proven wrong more than right. Nice try.

First CBS asked Bill Bell in public to create a new soap to replace GL. Bill Bell wisely stayed out of it. P&G and CBS fought until they reached the point that P&G said do anything as long as you don't cancel us & CBS handed down changes to both ATWT & to GL. For GL that's where the "new production model" came from. However, at the same time budgets were slashed & CBS didn't assist in implementing, so GL was on their own. That's the nutshell version. If Ellen Wheeler had not done what she did, GL would've been off the air 4 years before it was.

There is just so much wrong being spread. So many untruths. Protect Ellen Wheeler the incompetent crybaby.

  8. Just because someone says something in a book or interview doesn’t make it true or a fact. How many times have people been proven wrong about something in a book or an interview they gave. The Locher Room series alone has had so many erroneous statements that have been discussed here many times. Especially relating to GL.  So many believe everything they hear or read and run here and repeat it as fact. It’s in a book on page 227 so it has to be true! lol So many corrections to make.

i have it on good authority that goutman wanted to bring beverlee for the finale, but was overruled by pgp.

Definitely do not believe everything that the so called expert says on here. Lots of agenda going on and not actual truth. It is extremely plausible that P&G nixed the idea.

And in the 90s at AW two fine actors won Emmys & then for their trouble they were let go by the show! Anna Kathleen Holbrook & Charles Keating! You can imagine theirs & ours as the fans, confused reaction at this slap in the face for their winning ways!

I fervently wish that JFP had remained a Music Producer & accomplished the 80s trend of musical montages to close out special shows.

It's Anna Kathryn Holbrook. You constantly have to be corrected. Ugh.

I just find the whole thing so patronizing. It makes me cringe to hear Carter say "I feel like family" or for someone to say it to him. It all comes off like groveling for acceptance to me. It's the writers saying "Look at how we treat Black characters! Like family!"

    It makes me sick.

    "Obviously more"? Really?

-- How is Krista Allen "no angel"?

-- How does Krista "know how to do PR and make herself the victim"?

-- What are the "2 sides to every story"?

    -- Why -- exactly -- are you "#TeamBrad"?

Please fill us in when you get a chance.

It’ll come out in time. It’s not my place to say at this point. In due time. But notice the silence from those who ‘thought’ they were her friends. 2 sides to this story.

That's one way of looking at it.  On the other hand add 17,000 to two consecutive weeks of increases, and the show is up 277,000 viewers over a three week period.  That seems rare these days to have three week uptick, unless there are good story(ies) going on.  That GH was able to maintain 260,000 in increased viewership, and add 17,000 more, I think is pretty good.

Of course adding viewers is always good! I’m just disappointed that GH added only 17,000 viewers during the week where Jackie Zeman was honored. Especially when other shows added a couple hundred thousand viewers that week.
Every daytime show, except for Hoda & Jenna was up for the week and GH was up by a much smaller amount than the other shows. I’d have thought that the Jackie Zeman tribute would bring in more than 17,000 viewers. Disappointing.
