  1. Can Janet Spellman-Drucker be fired now? She hasn’t done anything positive for the show as EP. As far as I see, her big stamp on the show has been inserting city, hospital and police station stills in the show. YAWN! And is she not in the booth looking at the show? Leo and Sloane wearing the almost same blouse would be a no no with any competent EP!

Where is my Ron C?? I miss his writing so much! I know his writing will elevate the incompetencies of the EP he has to work with!

The technical term is rape by deception. Because Jon purposely deceived Tammy regarding his true identity and this information could change whether she consented or not, it can be considered as rape.

To be fair to Hurst, she was never the sole headwriter of the show and wrote as a team with Gold, Dunn, and Kreizman. In fact, I'm inclined to credit her with the rare flashes of good material in the show's final year to her as compared to the material for the rest of those hacks.

Oh I’m well aware that crazy always crying Wheeler had about 4 headwriters, including Hurst. Hurst wanted to take credit for the terrible dumb Otalia pairing. GL was cancelled with cry baby Wheeler and Hurst at the helm. They never worked in daytime again, thank GOD! I never watched it, but Chappell hired Hurst for that internet series that no one watched.

  3. Jill Lorie Hurst was the WORST headwiter in GL history! The show was cancelled under her watch and that crying baby Ellen Wheeler. Peapack! A god- awful duo who got GL cancelled! Thank you daytime for never hiring Jill Lorie Hurst and the god awful cry baby Ellen Wheeler again!!! Thank God daytime is rid of those cancers.

Bev was one in a million. I've recently been seeing Marj in action in old Cannon, Mannix, Barnaby Jones, etc. and there's such a difference in her demeanor.  The three Alexandras were such talented  actresses (not to mention Lydia Bruce and Joan Copeland as subs). Each had their own take on Alex, but Marj's was so all over the place at times.

I actually met Beverlee McKinsey outside of the GL studio. She could not have been nicer. I took a picture of her and treasure it. She chatted for a few moments and then went on her way down West 26th Street. Lovely woman.

Otalia had to be the most boring and  over-hyped couple toward the end of the series. Concentrating on characters most viewers liked -- and I know most viewers  felt Olivia really was anything more than a San Christo -Hell Leftover. I recall Olivia was basically just tossed at every guy on the show for years like confetti on New Year's Eve. Seeing more Vanessa among others would have taken the sting out of those final days of Ellen Wheeler's "Nightmare Known as Peapack".

THIS! Otalia was a disaster! I couldn’t stand them. Olivia was so badly written at the end. And Ellen Wheeler. No wonder she never worked in daytime again or given interviews. She must be bowing her head in shame for what she did to GL. Disgusting.

Her list of offenses against soapdom is long...Jammy, Otalia, firing JvD, Gus Aitoro, etc etc etc.

The only good thing she did was bust up Vanessa and Matt, and I speak as a Billy/Vanessa fan. :)

BTW, does anyone remember what the five fan favorite moments were (for the 50th anniversary)? One was Nola getting busted, one was Roger's death. And I assume one was Reva's "slut of Springfield" moment (because...of course...RME) What were the other two?

Agreed. Jammy and Otalia were the worst! Wheeler was in WAY over her head and killed GL
I have the 50th anniversary tapes (yes, tapes! lol) in my basement. I can’t remember the other two.

  6. @Khan I find myself agreeing with you in your discussion with others about Frank Valentini. He’s outlived his creativeness on GH. It is possible to make a better show with the current budget. And, there ARE other people out there like Shelley Curtis who could bring a fresh vision back to GH after having been away for years and still manage the budget. Frank isn’t helping GH. He’s padding his retirement. ABC needs to step in and replace him. I feel that Frank outlived his usefulness years ago. GH has a new headwriting team. It’s time for a new EP to get that team moving GH forward.

  7. We all knew that the those who don't watch B&B would watch! lol Not a fan of Kimberlin and her interviews do not make sense. She knew that she would be back. Looking forward to seeing more of my favorite character Liam with Ivy back.

I don't believe @Vee has ever made on like he has.

Vee likes to claim that he knows how Frank thinks. He's never met the man. It's just gossiping about a person you've never met. I have met Frank. I'm one up on Vee! lol

I didn't even bother to watch today. I don't know if I will... I am so disconnecting from... Even hate watching this drivel.

Oh no! How will the show survive if you don’t watch it??? Biggest cliffhanger ever! lol

  10. Ron Carlivati obviously played a part in todays episode, which was so good. The writing was so different than recent scab episodes. This is just a preview of things to come when Ron is credited again. According to the production schedule, this episode was taped well after the writers strike ended. I know scab scripts were written in advance of Ron returning so surely this was a tweaked episode by Ron. Similar to how GH had tweaked episodes before the new headwriters were credited.
Can’t wait until my Ron Carlivati is credited full time! Fasten your seatbelts!

I've been trying to get back into GH because I enjoy a lot of the actors. The show needs to rein in the number of stories and characters in the mix. Make it a tighter show. There are many characters around that aren't essential to anything. Cody, Sasha, Drew, Michael, Willow, Marshall, Gregory, for examples. I would bring back Lulu for a Jason/Sam/Dante/Lulu mix and she could be support for Maxie.

But surely the episode dedicated to tetrazzini will get the viewers flocking back to GH. lol The show is a mess under Mulcahey/Korte. Where is the Hospital??
