Not the Television City parking lot being called a 'location shoot'. Hilarious. As if they didn't use the parking lot/building location when Nick/Sharon were searching for Noah. 🤣

For me, Bold always had the ability to cast very green actors (i.e., Reign Edwards) and turn them into quite well-done actors. But... that feels lost in recent years. L.A.-based soaps have always been more well-known for hiring the 'model turned actor' type, whereas the east coast soaps hired theatrically trained actors.

You are more than welcome. Production and all that is included under its umbrella has always been a point of interest/passion of mine. The transition from NTSC to HD for The Bold and the Beautiful, for me, was handled well. But I also feel like the lush allure of that soap ended long before the transition. In relocating from Television City to Sunset Las Palmas, I do feel like it has maintained its look well, especially after the first week or two of filming, where I am sure adjustments were made. But the cameras at the latter studio are some of the highest quality, which is to their benefit. Also to their benefit is that their sets are permanent, so lights don't need to be re-established when a set is put up for use. If/when The Young and the Restless does relocate from Television City, I do believe it'll be an improvement for them as well. I'm pretty sure it happened during the Jill Farren Phelps era when CBS tasked her with 'updating' the serial to look more 'modern', and part of that was removing that lusher look. Plus, budgetary reasons, of course. October 22, 2012 (JFP's first credited episode): January 15, 2015 (JFP's last credited episode as sole EP): August 5, 2015 (JFP/Pratt as EPs): And then it has continued on since then. CBS wanted a modern-looking soap, and instead, what they got was something that looked bland and horrible. At least when Edward J. Scott came back, some of that warmth was restored, which exists today. But the cameras and post need to be reverted if we truly want that feeling returned fully. It's just how CBS/Paramount+ do. They only keep one season for their soaps. At one point, The Bold and the Beautiful kept two 'seasons' at once, but not for the past year or two. Which sucks because I was about one or two months from finishing the previous season of The Young and the Restless before the next began.

But omg, it is! SO serious.

Pomarico Thoughts: I think it is sweet that Ted is turning to Shanice, both as a co-worker and as someone he has begun getting closer to, whether as a friend or a romantic interest. The spoilt, self-centred bitch is still all about herself. Tomas is aware he should not be drinking if he is going back to the office. He is a smart man. You, however, are dumber than sheetrock. Of course Dani would show up with Bill. By Christmas 2026, I hope they are either engaged or remarried to each other. It is clear the chemistry is natural with them. Tomas is a great boyfriend; certainly too good for whom he is dating. I love seeing Bradley and Martin, despite my griping, finally connecting. It is very clear why they found each other in the first place. They are the perfect partners for each other. Wow. Surprised at how compassionate Bill is towards Anita, and I doubt it is solely about Dani or the children. It is about how he likely feels about her as well. His heart is opening back up. Ugh... now we are going to encounter the con artist child bride and her piss-poor attitude. Aw... it is super sweet that Dani is checking in on Vernon like the true daddy's girl she happens to be. We love seeing the reverse of what Vernon did. I appreciate Ted trying to connect, and I think it could be working, but I do not think it will work for that long. Not Bill letting Tomas know about the BRCA gene, which his girlfriend pointedly left out. And then snapping on the gold digger? I love it. Aw Vernon... poor Vernon! My heart is shattered for him so much right now. Notes: Dunn and Davis back for another episode? That is exciting. After yesterday's episode, I am ready for another kick-ass day! Pomarico did a good job with directing today. Some beautiful shots. The new opening shots of Jen Jacob (Ashley) and Arielle Prepetit (Naomi) are gorgeous; huge upgrades for both actors! I can sense another shift in the post-production with us moving into 'season two', and I love it. It has a very warm feeling and the colours are perfect! Do not touch it again. Oh, we got some name updates in the end credits! Very interesting!
