  1. There are two potentials from this: Lindstrom is on contract but signed after the 'season' began filming and was put in as a formality ahead of his contract technically beginning, as a replacement for Ben Gavin. Due to his status within daytime and his friendship with Michele Val Jean, he was put in as a courtesy, again, as a replacement for Gavin.

  7. original release date: Friday, January 9, 2026 | writers: Teresa Zimmerman, Cheryl L. Davis | director: Phideaux Xavier Thoughts: Smoothies? Not my thing, but it does sound delicious in this moment. I do love how close Nicole is with both Bradley and Martin. Anita overpacking that bag is hilarious. But I do love it. It shows how much he cares about her and her needs during her first round of chemotherapy. I hate to agree, but Jacob is forcing therapy on Naomi a bit too much. Seems like he does not know how to respect his wife's boundaries. First with her possible pregnancy and now with therapy. He needs to back down a bit and learn his place. So, it is confirmed: Carlton and Nicole are dating, and I am very happy about it. They have some amazing chemistry. Oh, whew. Nicole's test results are clear. Thank goodness. But poor Dani. Gosh. That has got to be some hard news to hear and receive; Naomi not needing to say anything was such a telling way of doing it. My oh my, how the spoilt, self-centred bitch's tune changes once she is not the one facing the news Naomi and Chelsea just got. Seeing the girls rallying around Dani is super sweet, and I also love how Martin did tell Vernon. Notes: Zimmerman and Davis did a masterclass in today's episode. Every single scene was well paced and the dialogue was full of emotional pull. Beautiful, beautiful work! The lighting department deserves several rounds of applause; the light of dawn in today's episode is beautiful, and of course Xavier captured it with his excellent eye. Love details like this. So much. Showing an actual chemo session is brilliant. We often hear of characters going in and doing it, but rarely if ever do we see it. Once again, Beyond the Gates is miles ahead of the curve with topical storytelling.
  8. Oh, that's a blazer? I thought it was a coat. Like one would wear outside in cold weather. Oops. 😬

  10. Trading one brick house for another... not a good look. Let's just hope this one can act. Otherwise, it's more pointless hiring.

  13. I agree; even in TOLN's production, I enjoyed Griffin a lot. The Castillo family were great additions to the All My Children canvas, and it's with that I have faith Jordi Vilasuso might find some stability again with Grayson Perez.
  14. I have been loving EastEnders so much lately. It's a not-to-miss soap for me.
  15. Possibly. But at the same time, I'd be OK with that for right now.

  17. I CALLED IT! I KNEW IT'D BE HER! YESSSSS
  18. original release date: Thursday, January 8, 2026 | writers: Teresa Zimmerman, Danielle Paige | director: Michael V. Pomarico Thoughts: A stress ball? I do not think that is what Nicole needs, Carlton. At all. Dani rubbing Andre's magic lamp? Ooh-la-la! She is in the mood! I love how supportive Vernon continues to be for Anita. That is a loving husband who stands by his spouse. Bradley had a goth phase? That is something I would like to see, truly! Eyeliner, hair dye and all! Can the spoilt, self-centred bitch stop trying to deny things and act as self-righteous as she always does? She is annoying the bloody piss out of me. I love how Ashley is there for Naomi and is able to talk her through things medically in the same way I know Naomi would do with legally inclined things. Damaged goods? Oh. Someone is looking to get slapped/punched right in their face. Gross. I mean, I am not a popcorn fan, but putting pickle spray on it? I will be passing on that one. Seeing Anita and Vernon continue to embrace Andre into the family is so sweet. And a Dupree family gathering! This looks like such an event. Mardi Gras? I have never been and it does overwhelm me and my anxiety, so this would be a fantastic middle ground for me. Seeing Naomi come around to accepting Andre as Dani's husband is amazing, knowing where it all began. Amazing. Not Anita throwing shade at Dani in the best of ways. This is what family is about! It truly is. Notes: Zimmerman and Paige are a perfect match! More of this duo, stat! The barely stirring of the pasta by Sean Freeman (Andre) was hilarious. What was that mixing? NOTHING! Put some actual effort into it. The sexual nature of this soap is sublime; it is not dumbed down for audiences or shying away from innuendo, such as Dani wanting to give Andre a handjob in the kitchen. Loving the mention of this weekend's Golden Globes (on CBS). I wonder if anyone on the red carpet will have a ChelseaKat handbag? I love how much fun it seems the cast had during the Mardi Gras segment on the Dupree set. That is what I love seeing! No one does family like Beyond the Gates. No one. True P&G soap.
