  1. It's kind of like Carly & Sonny naming their daughter Donna in today's world. Names definitely change throughout time. I'd wager Theresa is more current than Jeannie in today's world, though.
  2. No she absolutely won't, and when "Likes" were public... it showed. terrifying... absolutely terrifying.
  3. Yes he did; he also infused some heart back in where it was needed, and the little pop-in of characters mid-episode was nice, as well. Felt more fluid. It's already feeling choppy again, and an ultimate drag to watch once again. Oh, absolutely, and it helped me realize those rules could exist in modern soap times, whereas prior to his arrival I was questioning if they could. He listened to his audience and was giving us what we were asking for, and was slowly moving things around. I knew post-May Sweeps things would begin to truly show in terms of change, and they were.. unfortunately, it was too late at that point. EXACTLY! That makes complete sense. And a lot of people said characters were being written out-of-character, but I felt the exact opposite. He was trying to find the root of who each character was, and it was clear there was pushback from those around him, which is very unfortunate.
  4. West & Matt Cohen had some good chemistry, but character-wise it just did not work. I think she & Adam Huss have some nice chemistry but we've never seen them in a romantic way.
  5. Should've named her Connie... in honour of the conference room, LOL! Connie Tabi! LOL
  6. The only Nikolas I hated her with was Marcus Coloma (per the words of Genie Francis: "He tried", LOL).
  7. The mere fact Maura West hasn't had one palpable male co-star, beyond some short stints here and there, is absolutely criminal on all accords. She is a chemistry magnet.
  8. That pairing had some footing based on the limited scenes I did see, and it's a crying shame Albert Alarr & Ken Corday could not guarantee a solid deal for Madison to continue in the role.
  9. Don't forget, though: Wright [briefly left the role prior to The Princess Bride to film Hollywood Vice Squad in 1985. Per her words, it was a two-year deal that turned into four-years. And then in 1988, she opted to leave, and in 2023 called it (now) her "training," despite hating it then and "going into the Army of television".
  10. We're not in the General Hospital thread anymore; I moved the discussion. 😉 I know people do not like Martha Madison, but I happen to adore her in the role and given the right material, could really see Belle in a semi-leading capacity, unless we get Carrie back. As for Brandon Beemer, he's a mid-grade actor who is seen as a pretty face and body (a.k.a. west coast model casting). I could see someone like Jeff Branson (ex-Ronan, The Young and the Restless; ex-Jonathan, All My Children) taking on the role of Shawn-Douglas, and really rocking it since I don't see Jason Cook returning for anything at this point.
  11. I'm hopeful with Paula Cwikly & Jeanne Marie Ford that could finally change. It feels like any regime post-Josh Griffith, Dena Higley & Beth Milstein had little desire for Shawn-Douglas or Belle, and that's just a sin.
  12. I just don't think Valentini/Varni are that interested in her in the role, honestly. Because, this is the second time they've recast the role, and the first time they've gotten it right. I am sure Ainsworth will rebound; the fact she auditioned for The Young and the Restless shows she's still got the desire to do daytime. Maybe a Claire recast on Days of Our Lives?
  13. The way Lexi Ainsworth was treated a second time was so unfortunate, yes. But since debuting, Mansi's take on Kristina has been a real joy to watch... and despite the revolving door of regimes (pre-strike and post-strike), she has taken on every challenge and done well with it.
  14. 💯 I knew Kate Mansi would smash it as Kristina the moment it was announced, and I haven't been proven wrong. The Pullos/Molly situation and its timeframe was super unfortunate, but we've finally found a groove for the Davis sisters, and I am hoping and praying we get some Davis time soon for all four ladies!
  15. The brunette did her no favours, but I'm pretty sure that headshot Soapcentral.com used was an older shot, too. And yes, I liked Mia Kriegel, too, and felt right when I was really beginning to feel like she understood Molly they recast. But, to me, Kristen Vaganos is now Molly and I'm so happy she's a series regular (and the first Molly to be). She emcompasses the younger side of the character from the years Haley Pullos was in the role, but also brings an adult-ness the role desperately needed. Nor could I... I feel like we'd be watching a teenage Molly playing this story, and I don't think it'd read well in the same way Vaganos has played the role.
  16. Oh so lucky! 🤣 Thankfully, we now have our permanent Molly! Whew!
