  1. Bryan Cranston & Patricia Kalember "Loving" Promos 1983 (Doug & Merrill)
  2. The only requirement was that you submit two episodes - even if the reel was an hour and a half as long as it was two episodes with only the actors scenes, there was no cut-off in terms of the length of the reel.
  3. from the book "Last Stage Manager Standing" - the time As The World Turns filmed a big remote in Greece - and forgot to record the audio! Forcing them to hire a lip reader to transcribe the dialogue so they could loop in it later!
  4. Alan has shared picture from the event on his FB and "X" and said it was a great event.
  5. When TPTB at OLTL informed Teri Keane (Naomi Vernon) that her character was to be killed off - she wore a T-Shirt during rehearsal for her death scene reading "Are You Sure ABC"
  6. Newly discovered interview from 1998 where Eileen Fulton talks about her famous "Granny Clause" resulting in Margo losing her baby - saying "it was just a foam rubber pillow!"
  7. Paul Joynt did not die from AIDS related complications. He died from suicide after a long battle with mental illness. For many years he suffered from DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) otherwise known as a multiple personality or split personality. He battled DID even while working on Soaps. The day he took his own life, he returned home from a devestating audition that went poorly, and one of his stronger personalities took over and hung himself.
  8. Well he was fired from Loving - and then later made headlines when he was captured on film having a meltdown in Rome
  9. Newspaper article on the Karen recast from 1978
  10. Ended one day with Breen, then picked up the next day with Cass exactly where Breen left off
  11. For those who wanted to see the Joseph Breen to Christoper Cass transition during a love scene!
  12. I'm new here but I also want to say "Welcome Back" Eric - as I have read past posts by you and (as a fellow Canadian) wondered, where did you go?
  13. When Rick Hearst left, they did ask Carl T. Evans if he would be interested in returning. He said no.
  14. Doug Chapin became a producer and then was Matthew Perry's long-time manager for over 30 years. He was so devestated by Perry's death that he and his husband left Hollywood, and Chapin retired from working in show-biz. Chapin is still very handsome.
  15. That was only AFTER Debbi Morgan was on the show
  16. Kim Zimmer co-hosts a fundraising event for Michael Zaslow's ASL Zas Angels Charity
  17. Yes but the Black Canvas B&E wrote on Loving was only because Debbi was the one that initiated it. Before Angie arrived in Corinth in 1993, the only Black character in Loving's 10 year history (1983 to 1993) was Minnie (Egypt nurse maid). I don't think the character of Angie would've crossed B&E minds, if they didn't write for the character of Angie on Loving/The City prior to B&E arrival in Pine Valley. So again, it was Debbie who brought Angie back to the creative minds at ABC. NOT those ABC executives or writers.
  18. They did not bring back Debbi on Loving - Debbi brought back Debbi. In her autobiography Debbi writes that her marriage to Charles Dutton was imploding and she needed to go back to work - fast. She called up the executives at ABC/AMC to let them know she was available for hire, and would be interested in going back. Few days later they called back and told them they had no room at AMC, but they would make room for her at Loving. Debbi accepted. If it was for Debbi making that call, who knows if Brown and Esensten would have created that Black canvas on Loving.
  19. In 2007 every single actor was shut out from the Daytime Emmy nominations except one Level Rambin was the sole acting nominee from All My Children at the Daytime Emmys in 2007 Every single cast member from AMC was shut out that year (2007)
  20. There was a time when OLTL was without a head writer - but the head writer abruptly quit and Jill Farren Phelps was forced to not only produce the show, but act as interim Head Writer, until they could find someone And that is one of the stories JFP penned - Dorian hitting Jessica with her car
  21. NBC was thrilled with JFP numbers, but it looked bad on P&G that Another World had higher demos than their jewel in the crown ATWT. It is embarrasing that more women were tuned into Another World than As The World Turns from P&G stand-point. I'm sure they were fine with AW having high ratings, as long as it was always behind ATWT.
  22. I believe that JFP made Another World the top P&G soap for women 18 - 49 - and sustained those numbers - until the day she left. Then it just went downhill
  23. NBC didn't care about overall ratings - they cared about the demo - women 18 - 49. Jill Farren Phelps pushed Another World's ratings as the top P&G soap for women 18 - 49. Ahead of both As The World Turns and Guiding Light.
  24. There was a scene with Opal (Jill Larson) while in the Martin attic, Opal discovered a skeleton with a pair of skiis and the name "Bobby" appearing in a name tag. Later, Tad referred to a skeleton as a Halloween party as his brother. When All My Children was wrapping up - Sarah Michelle Geller pitched a story idea to TPTB when she asked to do a cameo (as Alicia Minshew was playing Kendall) "I can come down from the attic with Bobby Martin; I can be his ski bunny wife," Gellar teased.
