  1. She made sure he was gone and not coming back, before she came back in 1998 to reprise the role of Amanda.
  2. Though this is about "Days of our Lives" - Actress Lisa Rinna has written her autobiography, and writes about the living hell she went through working with Robert Kelker-Kelly (Sam - Another World) Lisa Rinna Says Robert Kelker-Kelly "Made My Life a Living Hell" “Behind-the-scenes we hated each other,” Rinna wrote. Declaring that Kelker-Kelly was “horrible to me,” Rinna mused of his behavior, “I’d go so far as to say [he was] verbally abusive. He was passive aggressive, manipulative, and played weird mind games,” she alleged, adding, “I had to work with him every day, often half naked to do love scenes. If I didn’t do what he wanted, he’d give me the silent treatment.” She characterized the actor as “a ticking time bomb” and revealed, “I never knew when I arrived on set each morning if I’d get nice Robert Kelker-Kelly or dark Robert Kelker-Kelly. He was unpredictable and it was exhausting.” The actress confided, “I regret that I stood up to Robert, because I was too young, and I was not willing to make waves at my awesome new job … I still lacked assertiveness and self-confidence when it came to men.” She then asserted, “If Robert Kelker-Kelly was in my Housewives orbit today, he never would have gotten away with his behavior.” While the tension between her and Kelker-Kelly had a negative impact on Rinna’s DAYS experience, she praised her female co-stars, including Kristian Alfonso, who returned as Hope (or “Gina,” as the amnesiac character was known at first) in 1994. “Kristian and I commiserated and looked out for each other,” wrote Rinna. “All the women on DAYS did.” When Kelker-Kelly was fired from "Days of our Lives", Rinna and co-star Kristian Alfonso were given their “own full-time security detail.” Rinna told readers, “I wasn’t worried about physical harm, but NBC had to cover their ass. We had rent-a-cops parked outside our houses and trailers for three weeks and were driven to and from work.”

  4. Sometimes, for whatever reason, people simply leave the reservation. Something clicks in their mind, and they transform into a whole different person. We all have loved ones who did exactly that. I believe that is what happened to Liza. It defies logic to be so close to your mother and then abruptly cut off all communication overnight. While no one truly understands the dynamics of any family, I find it hard to believe that Susan could be such a bad mother that Liza would disown her in this manner. Persisting even after the death of her father. Thank goodness, Susan has Andres. Or else she would be all alone.
  5. Another World (Sept 1985) With a rare Scene Featuring Ellen Wheeler Playing Marley & Victoria Opposite One Another
  6. When John Whitesell took over as EP, he was moving the Brittany character in that direction and wanted Sharon Gabet to stay. As the show lacked a villianess on the show. But by that time Sharon had mentally checked out and wanted to leave.
  7. Exactly, so that is why he left. Molloy didn't want to spend a year doing the same storyline, he'd rather leave.
  8. It was more than being the "third" wheel in that storyline. Larkin Malloy had already played a storyline with Maeve being pregnant with his child, and Reva being on the outs. The storyline being pitched to him would be Reva being pregnant, and not knowing who the father was. Kyle or Josh. Larkin Malloy felt he had already played that storyline, and wasn't interested in doing it again. That is what he objected to, being stuck in the same storyline.
  9. Isabella Santos RIPS APART Brooke and slaps her in the face "It should've been YOU who died in the plane crash, NOT Maria!"
  10. But it is amazing she still remembers Megan McTavish's name!
  11. All of Maureen Garrett/Elizabeth Kiefer scenes from the Holly/Ross/Blake triangle As Guiding Light "Ripped from the headlines" the Woody/Soon-Yi/Mia farrow scandal
  12. 25 years later, Amanda Seyfried (Joni) encourages people to "ask Megan McTavish" why she was sacked from All My Children. Because she is still puzzled about why she was let go. StreamableWatch as2 | Streamable
  13. Because Alan is such a fan of "World Turns" and said he avidly tuned in during the time of the Kasnoff Brothers, it was puzzling to see that he didn't ask Alex Walters about his working relationship with Alyson Rice and the Mark/Connor/Cal triangle. That was a very hot storyline that caused plenty of controversy. In addition, the Alyson Rice/Susan Batten switch was not addressed. I would have expected those two topics to be at the forefront of the interview. I suspect that Alex Walters requested not to discuss Alyson Rice or the storyline as a condition for his appearance on the show, for reasons unknown. (Maybe he doesn't remember specifics about his time on ATWT and didn't want to look like an idiot in the Locher Room?). It is highly unusual for Alan to refrain from discussing past storylines or the prominent actors a guest has collaborated with.
  14. Kasnoff Brothers reunion on the Locher Room!
  15. If they were going for a Marcy Walker/Robert Newman romance, it would've made more sense for Marcy to play a recast Morgan. As that that was Marcy Walker biggest complaint, her character was not tied to anyone. Nor did it have any backstory. If she was Morgan, that character had a history with Josh and was connected to both the Bauer and Spaulding families.
  16. Awards for Justin Deas are not the most important thing in the world, it is his family that is the most important thing to him. He could be a huge star, but he put his career on the back-burner to be a house husband and father, so his wife (Margaret Colin) could pursue her career.
  17. This is somewhat off-topic, but when Tony's daughter BJ died and her heart was transplanted into her cousin Maxie in 1995, soap critics anticipated that Brad Maule would win an Emmy for his efforts. Justin Deas of Guiding Light defeated Brad Maule, causing a huge upset, ultimately winning six Emmys. Well, I recently saw an interview with Deas, and he has moved from his house to a new condo. He revealed that he gave away all six of his Emmys (including the one he won over Maule) to the movers because he wanted to "declutter." I can only imagine what Brad Maule would think if Deas just gave away his Emmys like that!
  18. Watch this first (compilation of scenes between Iris & Paige) that will get you warmed up fast. Then try to start with episodes when Paige marries Dennis. That will get you hooked fast, because it goes straight into a murder mystery. Actually when TBS reran episodes of Texas, they started with the episodes of the murder, as P&G felt the quality of the first 13 weeks was not up to snuff. If you manage to start with episodes of the murder mystery and go straight through to the end, you can always go back and watch the beginning episodes. which would be more of curiosity than entertainment value
  19. Watching this episode of Family Feud with the cast of Guiding Light from the 90s One of the questions Frank Dicopoulos was asked was "On a scale of 1 to 10, how good looking are you" Frank replied "8"
  20. Its amazing how every CBS & ABC soap had their own local Disco. Wonder why NBC soaps never joined the Disco craze?
  21. In a new interview with Monti Sharp, he says the role of David Grant went down to the wire between him and actor Flex Alexander - below video of Flex if you are curious about how he would interpret David Grant
  22. HBS loves Gregg Marx, and often tells the story about how difficult it was filming bed scenes with Marx, while she was six month pregnant. At the time the show chose to hide her pregancy, but HBS was big. She used to joke that it was three in that bed (her, Marx and her stomach) and since Marx didn't much experience with pregnant women, he didn't know how to coordinate his body over hers to hide her stomach. Which HBS found hilarious everytime they had to do a bed scene.
  23. Since Tonya Pinkins said she was told she already had her last day after returning from vacation, it looks like someone on the show mentioned in passing that Heather had left town to think over her life
  24. They were all in the process of being written out by Susan Bedsow-Horgan. By the time Douglas Marland became head writer, they were already practically out the door
