  1. You can watch this playlist (that is NOT titled) featuring cut-up segments featuring only the Clay/Ava/Alex storyline Go to link below, then go to the link called "Playlist" and there will be 26 videos in chronological order covering Clay/Ava/Alex from start to finish. Starting with Roya Megnot and finishing with Lisa Peluso as Ava https://www.youtube.com/@abababxdxdxd3145
  2. It was filmed like a daytime drama, with 3 cameras and on videotape, instead of film.
  3. One Life To Live made MBE an offer; when that happened, she wanted to give ATWT first right of refusal. When they heard of OLTL interest, they immediately put MBE on contract.
  4. Douglas Marland was in frequent touch with Martha Byrne about six months before Heather Rattray's contract expired, to see whether she was interested in returning. Martha expressed interest, so the powers that be (TPTB) allowed Heather's contract to expire without negotiating a renewal. Once Heather's contract expired (and she left), TPTB began speaking with Byrne for an ATWT comeback, so it didn't appear that Heather had been fired for Martha.
  5. In terms of Martha coming back, after Heather left, she made a series of demands before she would commit. One of them was Lily NOT being invloved in any sort of business dealings. Martha felt that Lily was not the corporate type. Another demand was to make a Lily a singer, as Martha is a singer. She wanted to showcase her singing abilities. If Anne Sward (Lila) could to sing on a regular basis at the Mona Lisa, why can't Martha?
  6. Clip of Zas singing at the end of this interview in Italy. They play the record back to Zas for him to listen to
  7. That is actually what happened after Maureen was killed off. Ed was struggling and very close to falling off the wagon. It had to do with the conflicts between him and Michelle, as she suspected what had happened and was punishing him (as well as Lillian) for the affair. No one wanted to tell Michelle, but she was a smart girl and figured it out all on her own. There was a scene where Nola shunned Ed, when she returned to town. Nola had to go to the Emergency Room, and Ed was on call. But she refused to be seen by him, and they had this big blow-up over the affair.
  8. For those who said that Terry Lester would have been a great re-cast for Alan Spaulding - I just stumbled on this article, that Terry Lester was offered a role on GL, but turned it down because he wanted to work with Douglas Marland The GL role? It was for Buzz Cooper! (article below) Now you might say with JFP as EP, that is impossible that Lester was the first choice. But JFP only has so much sway, the network has the final say, and they wanted Lester back on their soaps. As he was a bigger name than Justin Deas
  9. I don't understand why Guiding Light keeps getting targeted on YouTube? As The World Turns accounts haven't been affected. Neither has Another World or Edge of Night Why does YouTube keep targeting Guiding Light, and not the other P&G soaps that have libraries of episodes on YouTube Any speculation?
  10. I read somewhere that it was between Signy Coleman and Teresa Blake (Gloria Marsh AMC) for the role. In an interview with the Locher Room, Signy's ex-husband (Vincent Irizarry) claims he pulled some string for Signy to get the part. Because he wanted his daughter on the East Coast, and that would happen if Signy got a role of a NY Soap.
  11. Before CBS cancelled GL, TPTB were actually holding auditions for a recast Michelle Bauer. Which seems such an insult to Nancy St. Alban, as she was available to come back to the role. There was talk that Martha Madison (Belle, Days of our Lives) was the leading contender the part. But then they got cancelled, and to close things up they brought Nancy back as Michelle for the final episodes.
  12. Kim Zimmer - How to cry at the drop of a hat
  13. I've have trusted status on imdb, which is why this was added & approved so quickly
  14. I'm a contributor on imdb, so i will add that credit
  15. I've always said that Marcy Walker should've been cast as a recast Morgan instead of "Tangie" - as that was Walker's biggest complaint. Tangie had no ties to anyone in Springfield (other than a tenuous one with Roger). As a recast Morgan, that character had direct ties to both the Bauer family & the Spaulding family.
  16. Before she turned down the 3 year deal, the writers were steering Janice into a relationship with Andy. If she continued, I could see her and Andy being a pair, and causing all sorts of problems with Kim (as a potential mother-in-law) It would be "Joyce Colman" all over again!
  17. They offered the actress a three-year deal, but she declined. She had landed ATWT directly out of school, and after a year and a half on the soap, she wanted to focus on regional theater. The poisoning was a plot device to write her off of the show.
  18. Susan could've gotten top billing if she really insisted on it. However she always saw AMC as an ensemble show. Back in the day when she was a huge star, she never complained about sharing a dressing room (as everyone shared a dressing room back in the day) Later when Jane Elliot and Marcy Walker went to West Coast soaps, and certain actor would complain about their dressing rooms, they always pointed out that Susan Lucci shared a dressing room, and never complained.
  19. Women of Knots Landing Presenters @ 1982 Emmy Awards Michelle Lee Joan Van Ark Donna Mills Julie Harris
  20. William J. Bell was NOT happy. He hauled both of them into his office (one at a time) and reamed them out. Saying in no uncertain terms, that if this happens again they would be terminated. Bell really read both Braeden and Bergman the riot act. Braeden took it very seriously, as he had nothing but utmost respect for Bell.
  21. Suzanne Rogers does get TOP BILLING on Days of our Lives Days of our Lives Starring Suzanne Rogers as Maggie Horton
  22. The winners do come back the following episode to face-off against a new challenger. There have been times when a winner has dominated the entire week. Plus on shows like "Match Game" they have celebrities for the entire week of the shows.
  23. But there are MORE complete episodes of Game Shows that were saved from the 1970s, not less
  24. Game Show Network currently airs episodes of Match Game, Price is Right, Let's Make A Deal, Card Sharks, Newlywed Game, Family Feud, Password, Tattletales and Pyramid - all from the 1970s As they were saved by the production company.
