Also @JAS0N47, correct me if I am wrong, but the basis for this entire discussion feels like the misinterpretation of a joke made by an actor on a podcast.  Given that we know they just filmed Doug's memorial in April, which was a milestone episode, airing the first week in December 2024.

It seems like an Occam's razor situation.  Which is more likely?  Greg Vaughn made a crack about DAYS taping far in advance that got misconstrued on X (formerly known as Twitter).  Or, that the production will be able to produce 12 months' worth of stories, written since the WGA strike, between May and December.  The simple solution is most often true.

Greg Vaughan wasn't joking.  He was on Jacob Young's podcast on Feb. 29, 2024.  He said at that time (i.e. 2/29/24) they were 7 months ahead; but with the schedule as is, by end of 2024 they'd "have a whole year in the can".
He starts talking about the schedule at 49 minutes in:

I just re-watched DAYS 11-23-84, full episode. Now mostly I have just looked at a clip from it. Stefano & Roman fighting on the cliff. A shot rings out. Roman is hit. He falls to the beach below where later he dies in Bo's arms. Or at least we thought he died.

But so much more is going on. Trapped on the island, hoping to be rescued are : Eugene, Calliope, Liz, Carlo, Anna, etc. On another part of the island there is an island woman & both Tony & Andre, in matched linen safari suits, fighting with huge long staffs & they knock themselves into quicksand. Stefano appears in the same linen safari suit, laughing & not acting like he's going to get them out of the quicksand. I believe Andre dies.

Oh, Bo & Hope are flown there, in a helicopter & jump off to the island & then get into a speedboat where they go around & see Roman fall, etc.

"Does anyone know what the name is of that island? Either fictional name or real location?"
Its name is "Stefano's Island".  Listed that way in Jason47's lists of sets, and in recaps, etc.   Supposedly somewhere in or near the Caribbean or the western Bermuda Triangle region.

Does anyone know what real-life place was used for filming these scenes?

Does that mean EJ raped Sami twice?

Once so he'd save Lucas's life.

Another time on the side of a road?

    OMG.

These are both the same incident.

Yes those are both the same incident.
But he did cause Sami to be raped more than once, by putting the fakeRafe in her life and bed.

Reading the whole story, the hit-and-run part of the charge was actually for her hitting a parked car just before she got into the accident, so it wasn't that she hit the injured driver and then ran. She couldn't have since her car was destroyed.

"Also dismissed was a hit-and-run charge resulting from Pullos running into a parked car just before the freeway crash. But though prosecutors dropped that count, she will still have to pay restitution to the owner of the car she damaged."

10 hours ago, Contessa Donatella said:

I'm just spit-balling here but perhaps the hit-and-run was the first car, which swerved but was hit a glancing blow.

    No.

What Jason said is what was reported from last year.  The first accident (the hit-and-run) where she hit the parked car, was on the city streets of Pasadena a little while before she entered the freeway.   The first car wasn't on the freeway at all.

The only confusion in reporting is from outlets rushing to give updates on her sentencing deal, without actually reading the original reports.

When emergency responders (police/ambulance/etc) arrived at the at the scene of the freeway accident, they extricated her and attended to her, attended to the driver whose vehicle she crashed into, and the destroyed vehicles.  She was brought to the hospital etc.   At some point later that night/day, or within a few minutes/hours/days later, the police realized she'd hit the first car  in a completely separate incident just before she entered the freeway.  So then they charged her with both accidents.

But yeah the original reports always said the first vehicle she hit was stationary or parked.

  5. That SOD sweeps article is mostly summaries of current character conflicts we're aware of, and they mention the wedding and the people arriving for the wedding, which we mostly knew about.  Seems like the SOD staff is mostly just summarizing  stuff we know?
As Vee said, we can guess at the death.  The new person is the only thing new.
Even the photo is old.  That pic of Ava/Carly/Sonny is from the March 28 episode.
I mean it's clearly not a preview of the month, because half the cast isn't mentioned.

Maybe Korte/Mulcahey will give their own preview in a few weeks? Either to SOD or to tvguide/tvinsider.

(There are no spoilers in this interview)

"While portrayer Melissa Claire Egan admits she misses Chelsea’s wild days of machinations and love triangles, the real-life mom is honored to tell these grounded, important stories about depression, OCD and trauma."

    --

In my opinion the rapist / rape victim romance (rapemance) of Chelsea/Billy negates any good they are trying to do.

  8. Within a week or two before Steffy knifed the Sheila lookalike, the show made a point of discussing how many toes Sheila had/has.  Thus it seems clear that Bradley planned the lookalike "twist" all along, and that this is not a sudden reversal.
I don't think the Deadline author watches the show, otherwise they'd know that.

  9. Posted this on the DAYS thread, cross-posting here for the primetime section:

They are trolling us and we are taking the bait actually. He wants THIS kind of negative buzz and comments... and they call it- they love to HATE US. It's a strategy to compensate for good material and substance. And these people taking the time to hate on twitter are actually FEEDING Bradley's obsession with Sheila. I hope they realize this. They are creating the momentum Bradley wants. It's sad that cheap stuff like this still works to rile people up.

That's why I will not feed them anymore.

    I'm done.

    Good points!

  11. Some of my favorite tweet-replies and quote-tweets to Deadline so far:

    • My coworker’s unborn baby saw this sh!t coming.

    • Are you ALL on the same hallucinogenic????

    • If you believe this wasn’t planned, can you DM me? I have a bridge in Brooklyn I’m ready to sell on a discount.

    • Good Lord, they think we're complete morons. This explains so much...

  12. Actors lie about this stuff all the time.  I can think of at least two actors from another soap (from several years ago) who lied to say they were still filming, when they were already fired.  They were probably told to do this.

So I can easily see actors lying about being fired, when they're not fired.

  13. DEADLINE (re: Bradley Bell)
Maybe he thought he made a mistake and now he's correcting it?

    BROWN:
Either that or he had this in mind all along and just didn't tell me about it! But I can't see anybody doing anything that evil, however. That would be a Sheila moment.

Yeah this is a bunch of PR garbage.  Kimberlin knows that Bradley did this with Tanner Novlan a couple of years ago when Sheila shot Finn.

Tells you you're fired and then brings you back in the office a day later to say that your character isn't really dead.   Tanner may have believed it because he was fairly new, but Kimberlin wouldn't have believed it because Sheila never dies.

And Kimberlin might be lying about all of it, if she was told to lie about it.

  14. "I didn't see this coming, quite honestly"
That has got to be one of the stupidest headlines.

Every soap viewer knew this was coming.

There was no ploy here.  It was revealed weeks ago that it wasn't Sheila who died.   Obviously planned all along.

FYI, KB's return aired Monday April 29.

  15. Another Peacock price increase: July 2024

    https://deadline.com/2024/04/peacock-raising-prices-streaming-nbcuniversal-1235898599/
