That's a VERY unpopular opinion but I agree with it.

Thanks. I’ve never really cared about having an unpopular opinion. Maureen was dullsville. It’s too bad that Ellen Parker couldn’t turn the Emmy that JFP got her into a golden career.

I did see that Carrie played a character on GL before (not sure of the character's impact), but it would seem logical to bring her back in that role. I know that it changed up the histories of the characters, but I thought Carrie played the role well. I don't remember the exact story anymore but wasn't Carrie the one that killed her niece, so what was the exact motivation of seeking revenge on these men of Springfield exactly?

    How bad was that really?

Killing Maureen was insignificant. She was boring.

  3. The Smirky interview is EXACTLY why the Emmys are a joke. Chandler is clueless. He really thinks that he should get an Emmy for a short reel? How about showing a broad, longer range of work instead of a couple scenes?  He must have found the few scenes where he didn’t smirk. (Thank you Freddie Smith for getting smirky his nom!) And his comment about not wanting to see long reels because he knows right away who he will vote for is classic ignorance. Smirky needs to grow up. I shudder to think that this brainless person has been a judge for the emmys. And that he votes in general.

    Meh.

Let's just say she didn't cause Frankie's death--she's still a soap killer. Jill still has a plethora of duds to still make fans loathe for her years to come. Maureen's unnecessary death to make room for Justin Deas, being such a piss poor EP that she allowed Bev McKinsey to slip out of her reach, Mel's death on OLTL, running off Robin Strasser from OLTL, killing Drew on OLTL, Alan's death on GH, disgustingly firing Genie Francis from GH, the decimation of the Qs, GH become mob central x1000, etc.

Do you really think that the GL budget was SO tight in 1992 that they had to get rid of Ellen Parker to bring on Justin Deas? Seriously??? Wow. Talk about uninformed.

  5. I love JFP. Fearless. A 42 year career in daytime, 11 Emmys. Took responsibility for bad decisions and blamed for decisions that were out of her control. Labelled a ‘show killer’ even though she was never the EP of a show as it went off the air. GL went off the air 14 years after she left the show. OLTL got cancelled 11years after she left. Y&R had its highest ratings in 9 years under her tenure. Since she left Y&R, the show has never achieved the ratings that she had. I just looked on IMDB. She’s going to be 70 soon. While I cannot speak for her, I’m sure she’s very content with her accomplishments and not paying any attention to people who listen to her every word on an hour podcast, taking notes and posting them here. She’s a fascinating woman who deserves every one of those 11 emmys and the stories behind them.

  6. Thanks Errol for the Live +7 numbers. My observation on the Live +7 ratings is that there is nothing to brag about in Daytime Live +7. The percentage gains in daytime are pathetic compared to primetime and cable. Many many primetime shows gain 100% or even more in viewers and demos. Daytime gains very little. And Errol, correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t the C3 ratings all that advertisers care about and not Live+7? I get that networks want to embellish the numbers by  touting how many viewers they gain in 7 days, but does that translate into advertising dollars and profits? Or is it just bragging rights that really don’t mean anything dollar wise?

I'm not one to spill tea, but I interacted with her for a long time. I've never seen an actor override a director, physically move an actor, and say, "No! Stand here!"

She directed an episode of THE FOSTERS a while ago and I caught myself rolling my eyes when I saw her name.

Brad is a very nice guy. He'll make time to chat with everybody, despite how busy he is with his job (insert your snarky writing jokes here). No ego. The same for his brother, sister, and late-mother. Such nice people who seemed to know the only reason they were there was because of the folks on the stages, in the offices, and at home.

I believe it. Such snarky people on here. The people who bitch the most could NEVER do the job of the people they bitch about.

Did anybody catch today's reunion? Was anything remotely interesting said? (this is me blatantly trying to save me 1 hour of my time haha)

I find it a bit annoying that Alan tries to keep it so PC. When Denise Pence had the courage to bring up Zaslow, finally something really compelling was being addressed. There was no need to dance around it because the fans were quite eager to get into details in the comments. The people who tune in for these things are die-hard fans and they are already disillusioned to the BTS drama.

@antmunoz Yes, they were saying in the comments that the woman was Peggy Fletcher. :)

I was getting annoyed at Alan Locher but now I do get that he was a publicist. Everything was always perfect all the time. As a publicist, you never talk controversy. We want to hear dirt, but the Locher Room is not where you’re gonna get it.
