  1. Great, thanks for uploading! I see it in the vault, yep that's what I was thinking of. The climax of the Tyrone story where he reveals he is Black to Alana.
  2. Isn't the full ep for Aug 1, 1985 floating around somewhere? The clips are about to reach that timeframe. I saw the ep awhile back, but it's not in the vault.
  3. Confirmed in latest clip 75a that Nikki and Cricket met while modeling at Jabot!
  4. We’re reaching summer ’85 in the clips, when Terry Lester quit the show and then returned 2 months later after re-negotiating his contract. He must have been in a very good position during contract talks.. not only was Jack part of the show’s hot new quadrangle, but Bill Bell was getting ready to finally bring the blackmail photo story to a climax… and that just couldn’t be done without Terry Lester.
  5. this BTS clips synchs up timewise with the latest clip uploaded 68b, with Ashley tied up captive
  6. Per 4/9/85 SOD synopsis: Hank the other truck driver saves Ashley from Vince. Hank drives off with Vince, leaving Ashley at the truck stop. (but Vince vows to later track Ashley down again) Victor meets with Dina and “puts the puzzle pieces together”, correctly guessing that Brent is Ashley’s father.
  7. Yea, I was surprised too! In my YR 25th anniversary book, it says Deidre Hall as Barbara Anderson, 1973-1975. And it doesn't list anyone else playing Barbara. Deidre debuted on Days June '76 so technically she could have filmed YR in May '76
  8. Peggy was a reporter in the summer of 1980 and she investigated the cult Nikki and Paul were at... maybe Nikki and Peggy ran into each other
  9. Nikki dated Cricket's dad Jim in '89... they were all at Scott and Lauren's wedding Dec '89 Also wondering if they had a random scene together circa summer '85 when they were both Jabot models
  10. Yea he is definitely gone by mid-83 because Mark Tapscott is not in the credits. I don't think Earl gets a goodbye mention in the synopses. The last thing I remember is that Earl moved back from Katherine's into Allison's hotel suite for a month as kind of a "last try" before Allison granted the divorce. I'm sure there must have been some dialogue at some point about Earl returning to San Francisco. Bottom line, IMO, Earl was a boring character so he got shipped off.
  11. That’s right where I’m at! Yes, spring ’83 was definitely fun, and it was when all the plots finally “clicked” after a looooong transitional period: Eve targeting Victor, the Abbotts and Dina, Rick seducing Nikki, Lauren coming between Traci and Danny… For me, my favorite scenes from spring ’83 were Stuart and Liz! ❤️❤️ and Katherine trying to help them. The dialogue was so authentic that I felt this was a real couple suffering through marital strife. I was so rooting for them to bridge the space between them. I wanted to tell Stuart to try to meet Liz halfway to make her more comfortable… sell that huge Brooks house, you don’t need all that space! Then Stuart and Liz should pick a new smaller place to live together, where they’re both comfortable. Sigh... only in the fantasy in the head, haha The last scene where they left for the cemetery felt so hopeful, but apparently this was Stuart’s last ep. I think someone commented that Robert Colbert chose to leave at this point…
  12. plus 58a has Robin Eisenman as temp Nikki! Fun for us as the viewer... but from a production standpoint, that is not good to have a temp Jill and a temp Nikki at the same time
  13. I think the dressing room thing is YR-specific... Days for example always has actors doing social media posts of everyone gathered in the makeup room. Yea when he talks about his AMC firing, he still sounds resentful... he says it was a new head writer, new executive producer with no loyalty to previous regimes.
  14. I finally had a chance to check out the Peter Bergman/Alec Baldwin podcast interview https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/heresthething/episodes/peter-bergman-king-soaps It’s definitely a good listen. Peter seems very kind and thoughtful (too bad I’ve loathed his portrayal of Jack Abbott for 30 years and still miss Terry Lester every day, lol!). Alec is engaged as the interviewer and shares tidbits from his stint on The Doctors (1979-82) Highlights: - Peter talks more about his time on AMC than YR. He said the biggest difference btw the 2 soaps is that on AMC, many actors (including Peter) would also star in plays at night. These actors would tape their soap scenes earlier in the day, allowing them time to make it to the theatre to do the evening play. - Another difference btw AMC and YR, he said, is that on AMC, all the actors congregated in the make-up room to socialize. On YR, everyone stayed in their dressing rooms. Peter said even if he would appear in the same episodes (but not the same scenes) as some other actors, it might be months before he met them in person. - His firing from AMC was a huge shock he wasn’t prepared for. His wife was 7 months pregnant and they had just bought a NY apartment. Melody Thomas Scott and Ed Scott were on a flight to Canada and Melody had brought some soap mags to read, and they all had Peter’s face on the cover re: his AMC firing. YR had already unsuccessfully screen-tested 6 well-known actors for the Jack recast. Melody says to Ed “that’s our new Jack”. Ed says “I wonder how tall he is”. The YR casting agent then called Peter’s agent to ask how tall he was, and everything went from there. - Peter hated LA at first and never expected to settle there permanently. In fact, he kept his NY apartment for 7 years after starting at Jack, thinking he would return. Now, he has learned to love LA, and wishes he had embraced the city immediately upon arriving by buying a surfboard and golf clubs. - He says the show used to tape 1 episode in 1 day, but now tapes Tuesdays through Fridays, (Mondays off) and tapes 5-6 episodes during those 4 days. (this interview was pre-covid). He says it is usually only one take, and they receive minimal input from the director, because the director has no time. Because of that, Peter feels it’s his responsibility to properly rehearse ahead of time with his scene partners. - Peter knows he is in a very enviable position as a 30-year lead on YR. He says he knows that there are others “behind him” who wish they were in Peter’s position. (Hmmm who could he be referring to…? Doug Davidson? Christian LeBlanc?) - When asked what he would like happen to Jack whenever Jack’s last episode will be, Peter said he would like Jack to finally triumph over his eternal nemesis Victor Newman… perhaps murder Victor and then the last shot of Jack would be him being proudly marched off to jail.
  15. Yes! It says: Charles De Vries, 1982; Carl Strano 1983 Even this is inaccurate, though... the first Max, Charles De Vries, made an appearance in an early '83 clip, so really it should be 1982-83
  16. I looked through the full cast list from my YR 25th Anniversary book published in 1998. Turns out it is NOT a full cast list, because I was hoping to find out who played Charlie, Victor's butler, but he's not listed anywhere. The cast list is fairly thorough but has many chronological mistakes. One example is listing Lynn Wood (Allison) as appearing from 1981-83 when it was 1982-84. What caught my eye the most is that it lists Oscar winner Forest Whitaker as being the first Kong (aka Nathan Hastings) in 1984 before Nathan Purdee. I think this would be late '84... Nov/Dec... Wouldn't that be something if we get a glimpse of Forest as the uploaded '84 clips reach that time!
  17. It was definitely bullying. Here's a recap of that scene from 5/30/13. I saw it when it aired... very touching. https://www.soapcentral.com/yr/recaps/2013/130527.php Traci arrived outside Phyllis' penthouse, and she ran into Lauren. Lauren said that she'd been thinking about how she'd bullied Traci in their younger days. Traci called it ancient history, but Lauren pointed out that they'd never cleared it up. Lauren confessed that she'd treated Traci horribly, but she had seen the other side of bullying, and she didn't know if the hurt ever went away. Traci initially said that she had no residual side effects, but then she recalled that she'd recently been at a restaurant, thinking about ordering dessert, and out of nowhere, Lauren's cruel words had flooded into her head. Lauren hated the things she'd said, but Traci asserted that she was no longer the insecure girl who'd turned to pills, and she'd moved on. Lauren mused that she'd never forgotten, and Traci agreed, but she was glad the subject of bullying was getting attention. Lauren apologized, but she knew that it couldn't make up for the pain she'd caused. Traci said that they couldn't change the past, but it was never too late to become a better person. The women hugged, and Lauren received a text message from Fen, asking her to meet him at Crimson Lights.
  18. Clips 48a/48b were uploaded last night. Fyi the full episode titled “Victor, Paul and Andy rescue Nikki from Rick Daros” is available for viewing at the Museum of TV/Paley in NYC, and I watched it there a few years ago. Much of the episode is not included in these clips… here’s my recollection: The ep begins with Traci having a flashback of a conversation she had with Jack. Jack confesses that he had Tim Sullivan investigated, and discovered that Tim’s ex-protegee had accused him of sexual harassment. Traci then meets up with Amy at the college café and explains the situation. Traci fully believes in Tim’s innocence but wants to find this woman to ask her why she would make such an unfounded accusation. Amy is concerned and offers to go along with Traci, but Traci says no. There’s a couple of scenes of Traci going around town trying to find this lady. Once she finds her, this scene is included in 48a, and we see that her story shakes Traci’s confidence in Tim. Meanwhile, Amy meets up with Jazz for a date. Amy isn’t interested romantically in Jazz – she’s just being friendly and polite. Jazz is very nervous and is trying to seem more educated/sophisticated. Amy tells him to just relax and be himself. Jazz drops Amy off at home. Jazz starts to leave but runs smack into Amy’s dad Frank, who gives Jazz a stern warning about getting involved with Amy.
  19. Thank you @Broderick this perfectly sums up the difference between the two Jills. When Madame Mergeron made her entrance to the Abbott home, DA's Jill truly made me believe that Jill was terrified for John's health... don't think BD could have pulled that off. On the flip side, I don't think DA could have rocked a turban in 1987 half as well as BD! Ha, fantastic comparison! Newhart debuted in fall 82 but I don't think Julia Duffy and Peter Scolari were paired up until the 2nd season? So Nikki and Kevin definitely paved the way first.
  20. Hi, is this for anyone to access? It’s asking for a password
  21. Nope... one theory is that Bill Bell knew way ahead of time that he would move her over to BnB, so didn't bother adding her to YR credits.
  22. Here's the scene from Sept or Oct 83 with Jill and Liz at the Foster home, at 44:00 https://youtu.be/SmSVKiPr6kQ You're right, Liz did live with Kay in '84, in fact during this scene I think Jill is convincing Liz to be Katherine's maid so Liz can spy on her. Not positive if we see the Foster house in early '85 but in the 1/29/85 SOD recap, it says "Since she can't get the money from Jack, Jill tries her mother. But Liz refuses to mortgage her home"
  23. There is definitely a fall '83 scene with BrendaD's Jill visiting Liz at the Foster home. And I want to say that perhaps Jill visits the Foster home again in winter '85, soon before Liz makes her last regular appearance...
  24. Mitchell Sherman!
