Anne Heche was one of the very best young actresses to ever work on soaps. Her talent, her presence, her charisma made her Vicky/Marley from AW the second best dual role next to the great David Canary's Adam/Stuart from AMC.

If written correctly a Ava/Johnny pairing could be intriguing, especially if you throw EJ into the mix as a potential sexual rivalry. A father/son fighting over the same woman - classic soap. Add to that the corporate drama currently going on at the DiMera it all have the potential at being a fun story. Sadly it won't happen. Isn't Tamara (Ava) supposed to be leaving the show soon? Shame. DAYS finally put Ava in an environment in which the character could be interesting and they fire the actress. As for RSW its amazing how his die-hard fans see something that I'm struggling to see. They think he's brilliant. I don't see it. The acting isn't terrible, but he isn't strong enough to make one convince he's playing a different character. Alex has the potential at becoming an interesting character. Too bad DAYS didn't take the time to properly cast the role with a truly talented actor.

Yeah he needs to just stick with posing. LOL.

Eric just had a scene with Jada and I couldn't help but think, "Mmmmm...possible." I get it. One should never judge anything based on one episode...especially an actor's performance. But RSW is trying much too hard at convincing us he's no longer playing Ben Weston. And by doing so he's only highlighting he's limited range as an actor. Now he may improve in time but so far, it's not a promising start.

No truer a statement...and I have to say I'm grateful for it. LOL I miss the days when soaps shamelessly, unapologetically and blatantly exploited the male body on a daily basis. In fact, soaps is the one genre in the entertainment field in which the male body is more exploited than the female body. At one time almost every soap had at least one male actor who sole reason for being hired because they had a fabulous rock-hard torso. LOL

I'm a firm believer that one should always find something positive even if one is completely bored and indifferent at what you're watching. And I was truly bored and indifferent to today's show. But here goes: 1. I highly enjoyed a barely dress Xander throughout the entire episode. Anytime we get a half-naked Paul Telfer on our screen is always a good thing! 2. Eric's naked biceps. Like fine wine Greg Vaughan gets better with age. 3. Despite the fact he was fully dressed in a pleasing suit, Sonny was still the hottest piece of male eye candy on today's screen. Zach Tinker's mere presence has given Sonny a character trait he never had when played by Freddie Smith - SEXY!! Even with the pornstache. LOL.

I remember those scenes and how both Chandler and James Scott (EJ) brought a great deal of subtext in their scenes together. No it was never spoken or acknowledged but anyone who was watching who was in the know could see it plain as day. I always wished the show would took that and played with it. I would have loved to have seen Will having fantasies in which he gleefully sexualize EJ. I remember a scene on Y&R years and years ago with Jill Abbott and Ryan McNeil. They were in Jill's office and Jill was sitting behind her desk. Ryan was standing in front of her desk in a business suit. As he discuss business, Jill sat at desk and began fantasizing and sexualizing Ryan which the audience was able to see. As they camera panned in on Jill's lustful face they cut to Ryan in where his suit jacket had suddenly disappeared. Panned back to Jill. Her eyes is growing more lustful. Cut to Ryan. Suddenly his shirtless. The scene eventually ends with Ryan standing in front of Jill's desk - still talking business - wearing nothing more than his very tight white briefs. Actor Scott Reeves (Ryan) who played Ryan was at his most ripped and shredded best. He was looking seriously yummy!! Could you imagine if we had a scene like that at the DiMera mansion with EJ talking to Will as Will began fantasizing stripping EJ out of clothing?? How fabulous that would have been.😄

As I watched those emotional scenes between Sonny and Chad I couldn't help but think to myself if one of them was a woman you could almost bet their friendship would become sexual within months. This has all the classic soap elements of one friend seeking comfort in the arms of a friend that unexpectedly goes to a level that neither one of them expected and yet reveal feelings and emotions that was always there just hidden underneath the surface. It would open up doors story wise - if written with insight, care, intelligence and bold frankness - that would probably make for one of the most compelling storylines DAYS has given us in a long, long time. God knows the chemistry between Billy Flynn and Zach Tinker is definitely there is make this story highly believable. And for those fans who would have issues with Chad engaging in a sexual relationship with Sonny, it wouldn't surprise me they are the same fans who we're more than willing to accept the absurd idea that Will would befriend Ben and be his best man at his wedding. If they can accept that, they shouldn't have any problem at seeing Chad exposing his sexuality. And if they do - so what. At this point the show had nothing to lose. Bite the bullet. Be bold. Be daring. Be controversial. God knows if written correctly this story would grab people's attention. On a superficial note Zach's arms are BUFFED!! Throughout their scenes those arms were seriously distracting - in a good, delicious type way!! 🥰🔥🔥

For me one of the truly great matriarchs of all time was Bert Bauer on Guiding Light. The difference between her and other beloved matriarchs was that she didn't start out that way. Most matriarchs were already "saints" when their show first started. Bert wasn't like that. She slowly developed into becoming a great matriarch. Bert wasn't a bad person but in her youth she was a very bitter wife. Mainly because unlike Chris & Nancy Hughes on ATWT or Tom & Alice Horton on DAYS, Bill & Bert Bauer was not a love match when they married. They married because Bert got pregnant. Back in those days, it was always the woman's "fault" something that Bert grew to resent. And that resentment grew to bitterness. In time Bert began to browbeat her husband. Bill could never do anything right in her eyes. That type beating drove the weak-minded Bill to alcohol and affairs with other women. This would go on for years until they eventually divorce. But in those years, something happened. During that time Bert would slowly begin to realize in many ways she drove her husband to booze and infidelity. She never made excuses, but she was able to see she was no innocent. And that's when she began to evolve into becoming a more compassionate, loving and understanding person. She had the marvelous ability at being self-aware of her own shortcomings and because of that she was able to give advice to others base on her own experience. It was all the qualities that would make her such a great matriarch. Add to that Charita Bauer was simply a superb actress who knew how to play all the different, complex levels of her character to perfection.

Just a quick note: The single best thing about today's show - Thursday 5/26/22 is Eric's slightly glistening naked bulging biceps!! I mean - seriously - yummy!! 💪 🔥 🥰
