I am gonna go out on a limb and say people on here are looking for behind the scenes drama that does not exist.

Can someone explain to me why it’s suspicious and not about vacations, scheduling, episode guarantees and everything else that goes into putting a soap on the air 5 days a week?

I thoroughly enjoyed today's episode. As someone who first began watching GH in 1983 (with several long breaks) I never thought I would see and episode with Tracy, Robert, Holly, Felicia, Anna and Lucy in it. I actually felt like I was watching GH. I am looking forward to Lucky returning home and Elizabeth getting a story worthy of her. I also like Anna and Jason. I don't want them to be written as a super couple I want it to be a big messy romance that they are fighting and everyone else hates. The show needs some damn messiness and I have not enjoyed Jason this much since the 90s. Plus we get Lulu and Lucas back with talented actors cast. Having the Spencers back as a core family is long overdue.

I really liked Denise Alexander as Mary McKinnon and consider Mary to be one of only two successful creations Margaret DePriest had at AW. John Hudson being the other one. The first problem was that Reginald was written and performed like an over the top cartoon villain instead of a complex grey character. We should have seen onscreen why Mary loved him and why she was torn between him and Vince. The other problem was the casting of the McKinnons. Kathleen Layman (MJ) and Julie Osburn (Kathleen) were popular but left in 1986. Layman before Mary’s introduction and Osburn before we really got to see the impact of Mary’s return on the McKinnon family. Vince went through multiple recasts before we got Robert Hogan who was great in the role. Ben was gone and Cheryl was new and never given proper focus. The Loves had the same problem with recasting which is why the focus should have been on the Ewings and Matthews not the Loves and McKinnons.

I love that they did this for Carmen. I remember when Linda posted it. I am pretty sure this is at a restaurant though and not at Linda's place.

I could handle Gio being BLQ's son if the father is NOT Dante and there is a good story about who the father is and why she did not raise him. I know people who found out as an adult that their mothers were actually their aunt, cousin etc and their real mother was someone else in the family. The reveal definitely brings the drama. BLQ was also off the canvas for long enough that it would not be a rewrite of what we saw onscreen. But first if they are keeping Sasha I want it revealed that she is Celia Quartermaine's daughter. Grant Putnam kidnapped Celia and assaulted her. Celia gave Sasha up to protect her from Grant. I wish GH would bring back characters like Grant and Celia for short story arcs. We have lost so many vets it would be great to see some faces from the past.

A great week of episodes. I am 100% team vengeful Jagger. Part of me hopes Sonny throws him in the water and he returns down the road even more pissed off. I am also liking this version of Lucky. Luke's lust for danger and Laura's passion for helping people. Is it too much to ask that Dr. Isaiah Gannon be Tommy Hardy using a fake name?!! Although I suspect he will be connected to the Llanview Gannons. If they get the casting right for Lulu there is so much potential for great drama this fall. Fingers crossed it is Jennifer Landon. I am still holding out hope that Marci Miller will be cast as Serena Baldwin.

Didn't the Dobson's write out both Nick Hartley (David Haskell) and Dylan Hartley (Page Mosely) to create a story for Kelly's temporary exit?

Laura Malone and Blaine were popular. Blaine could have driven story for years even without Larry, Catlin and Sandy on the canvas.

As long as Maurice and Steve are on this show this is how it will always play out. Unless the show goes from being the Sopranos to Oz. And Oz won't work without Christopher Meloni's butt being the star. This is the story I wanted for Heather years ago. A medical reason to have her released so she and Scott can go back to scheming and manipulating people. This was of course before they turned her into a serial killer and I wanted Robin Mattson in the role. I am interested in seeing where the sorry goes. Especially if it gives Kin Shriner more air time.

In order for me to pay $99.99 for it Vicky Wyndham would need to show up at my condo and read it to me.

Goodbye to Ava, Leo, Stefan, Gabi, Tate, Holly and fake Abby. Make the Hortons the core family! Bring back Mike with his wife and preteen son and daughter. Eventually Mike’s children become part of a teen group played by actual teenagers! Eventually bring back Jeremy to have an affair with his step mother. Bring back Lucas and give him a new romance. With Jada maybe. Make Everett Jessica Blake’s son that she had during one of her DID periods. I think Everett could work with better writing and ties to the Hortons. Over time bring back other Hortons. Some on contract and some as guest stars. A big story for Bo and Hope. Peter and Kristen would need to sign on for at least a year to do it justice. Put Shawn and Belle front and centre. Give them a story where they work together and are happy. Belle then gets pregnant with their son only to have Talia to return with her son by Shawn who is need of medical treatment. Reduce the number of DiMeras. Tony as the head of the family with Anna at his side. EJ and Chad plus their children. Kristen, Peter, Megan, Dimitri and Stefan can come in and out for short arcs to drive story. Give Abe his family back! Bring back Theo and eventually Jett with a son to be part of the teen scene.

Ron Carlivati leaving is long overdue. Sometimes I think it is a curse that my introduction to soaps was Henry Slesar's Edge of Night and Harding Lemay's Another World because I cannot stand writing that expects the viewers to accept absolutely stupid and ridiculous stories. While I accept the Slesar/Lemay/Bell/Labine/Marland/Nixon days are unlikely to be seen again it does not mean we have to accept what we have been seeing onscreen as the new norm. There are talented writers out there waiting to be given a chance. I did appreciate Ron's use of history, vets and legacy characters but my god it did not make up for the stupidity that made it to air. The essence of Stefano being implanted in Steve - total garbage. DID and DID again. So many back from the dead stories that death no longer has any emptional impact in Salem. Those stupid, stupid, stupid masks. Instead of Ron coming up with an intelligent reason for a plot point he would just put a mask on someone. Lazy! Leo the bitchy gossip columnist is an offensive stereotype. Turning a serial killer into a romantic lead because Ron found the actor hot is probably the most disgusting thing he did. I get that the DOOL of the last 40 years had moments of unbelievability but Ron took it way too far not to mention most things were written as joke and not a funny one. Even small things like Justin having a copy of Fiona's letter in his pocket was lazy. Good riddance! I hope someone reminds the new Head Writers that the Horton's are the core family not the DiMeras.
