Might have been only 19 episodes, but damn I love it. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/no2cKjHwvB0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I've always had a soft spot for the Family opening as well: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fuOufFsimdY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Her meeting with Janine was odd. Sharon and Charlie's adult Janine were on the show together from 2001-2004, yet they acted like strangers around one another. Not to mention, Sharon was very close to Pat and Frank and was around Janine in her younger years.

Even though its entirely fictional (as is Walford itself), I guess part of the show's original identity was being more gritty, raw, and somewhat more controversial than other soaps.

You and your Ben Mitchell love. I think Sharon's return episodes get better with each passing episode and as she interacts more with other characters. I loved her scenes with Lucy today, they seem to be moving her into more of a younger matriarchal role. The way she handled Lucy was sort of reminiscent of Pauline or Pat.

It was filled with water because Ian was previously in there scrubbing himself down. So, Shirley was trying to drown Ben in Ian's bath water. Eww.

I didn't want to see it, but there was definitely some chemistry between Sharon and Jack. Wednesday's episode was her best and most proper episode back. It was great seeing her with Ian, Max, Jack, in addition to Phil. Linda Henry also did some of her best work ever in this episode.

Well, at least that stupid kidnapping plot is out of the way and Sharon back where she belongs - on the square. I don't understand why this show has to go completely OTT when the bring a character back in their first one or two episodes. Things should get much better now that Sharon is back in a familiar environment.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
There really wasn't much, aside from set-up.I think I was more happy to see Sharon, than her jilted groom and his drunk sister and the return details. I think the rest of the week will be more in depth with her return story. I did like her car ride with Phil, and her interaction with her son. Though, calling him "Denny" will get annoying fast.

Most would probably say none.... But next week is an exciting week for EastEnders with 7 episodes, the show was just taken over by a new EP, so next week is really her first big stamp on the show with Sharon's return and the reveal of Heather's murderer. Though, the show will still be in transition mode for a while.

Another interview of Letitia and pics from next week's 7 episodes. Looks like she's interacting with Ian and Lucy, in addition to Phil, Max, Tanya, Jack, Shirley, and Ben. http://www.tvchoicemagazine.co.uk/interviewextra/letitia-dean-eastenders http://bbcenders.jimdo.com/2012/08/06/cybersq-goss-she-s-back-plus-shirley-finds-out/

It seems like she's staying this time around. I liked the part about Wendy too, and how she now feels like a matriarchal figure. Funny thing, Wendy was 40 when the show began, and Letitia is now 43. I hope Jack is just a short-term fling, I can't see it being anything more and I hope not.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
The show is in limbo/transtion at the moment due to the change over in producers and Kirkwood leaving earlier than planned. While not perfect, there's some strong elements that they can work out. We'll really have to wait a few months to see Lorraine Newman's true vision come through.
