  1. Soooo, today in TP news: A big, big scene filmed on location last night in Everett, Washington, at the site of the Palmer house from the pilot and FWWM. Kyle MacLachlan was present as Agent Cooper, as was another actor who I won't name. I'm not going to post the link in here, but the videos and footage of this sequence are circulating on social media and have made their way to TMZ and other sites. It's big enough and shocking enough that I don't want to post it here out of respect for the production, even if we can't be sure what it means. If you don't want what could be a big SPOILER, don't go looking. Meanwhile, Mädchen Amick talks about Mark Frost at the UK Festival a week or two: Also: Kyle MacLachlan last night, thanking fans for coming out:
  2. He works pretty steadily (and has become part of the Whedon acting repertory after doing his Much Ado About Nothing, which has undoubtedly helped him).
  3. Spencer Treat Clark from AW grew up unreasonably attractive and is now on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as the son of Baron von Strucker:
  4. Michael Ausiello is running with this current story that has been lurking around the Net, though it is not yet totally confirmed: Michael Ontkean has declined to return to TP, and the role of Sheriff Harry S. Truman may or may not be recast with Robert Forster. The details are fuzzy on what may have happened here, as Ontkean was reportedly very keen to return until a couple months ago. As Ontkean is retired in Hawaii, he may have balked at a long-term filming commitment, or it could be a health issue. The show did very much want him back and pursue him. I don't want a Truman recast and I hope it's untrue, but if it is it's been done before (Donna Hayward in FWWM) and Robert Forster is a great actor.
  5. The show is filming in Everett today and tonight, at the Palmer house from FWWM. From the local paper:

  7. Of all places, gaming forum NeoGAF discusses strange, frightening events seen by witnesses on-location. SPOILERS. Many of these descriptions correlate to the location shooting photos leaked to ComingSoon and elsewhere.
  8. I am still hoping to find time/cash to go see Hamilton.
  9. TV Line confirms another recent rumor: Peter Sarsgaard joins the show. Great actor.

  11. I wonder who leaked these. Curious about the kids in slide 4. There were virtually no children in the original series, with the exception of Little Nicky and the otherworldly Pierre Tremond.

  13. In addition to a few maybes we can't talk about yet, Deadline confirms Robert Knepper. Thrillingly, the article also claims David Patrick Kelly is back as Jerry.
  14. Joel Bocko, creator of the incredible "Journey Through Twin Peaks" video essay series, has assembled a new YT playlist of assorted TP media from 1990-92. Some of it has been seen by many of us before, other clips are new to me. I must again recommend Journey Through Twin Peaks - it's fantastic, and its FWWM sections have apparently begun turning even more minds around on the film, including the folks at Indiewire.
  15. In less sad news, NME talks to Mädchen and Kimmy Robertson, who tease around various rumors and bits of news while revealing nothing.
  16. To me the loss is somewhat comparable to Elisabeth Sladen and DW - Catherine Coulson was a tireless and enthusiastic ambassador for TP even in its bleakest years in the mid-late '90s, and forged relationships with a lot of its tight-knit longtime fanbase throughout the decades. The loss is not only to the production and Lynch, and the cast and crew, but to a lot of those people who came to know her over time. She's a piece of the heart of the show that you take for granted will always be there, and you don't quite know what to do when it's not. She was also a jack of many trades - in addition to all her work on films like Eraserhead, she was even 1st assistant camera on Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Lynch wrote and shot all of those intros for syndication himself. I hope they're not the last we see of Margaret, and that the rumors are true that she was able to film at least one scene, but we don't know as yet. I know they are supposedly slated to be filming behind closed doors at the Sheriff Station and other locations this week, but I wouldn't be surprised if filming halted briefly. It's just very, very sad. I'm sure however they choose to handle it onscreen will be classy, and probably, appropriately, full of mystery.
  17. There is a rumor floating around that she filmed a scene with fellow longtime Lynch associate Charlotte Stewart (Betty Briggs) and Michael Horse (Deputy Hawk), but no one seems to know if that's true yet. Catherine Coulson was a member of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She held onto the original log for 25 years, carefully preserving it, keeping it clean and dry just in case. I believe she regularly brought it to fan events. I hope she got to perform with it one last time. Zap2it has this: Variety is reporting it was cancer.
